hi! i was wondering if you knew where you can play tnc true blood or just a translation for shiki’s route? i was also wondering where you can read the mangas and if there are other official shiki-aki content other than the main game

I personally don't know the steps to downloading and playing TNC True Blood, but I'm sure someone in the fandom around here knows how to do that? I believe you're going to need to download an emulator (like PPSSPP) and then download the TNC True Blood iso file off a website. I know a few of my mutuals play the game with a program that allows them to machine translate while they play, but again I don't have firsthand experience so I can't help you there, sorry! :(

There's no translation for Shiki's True Blood route as far as I'm concerned, but I read a vague summary of it and checked his route out myself through Japanese Youtube playthroughs. If you want, I can explain how his route is changed in True Blood/the new endings. Long story short, the latter half of Shiki's route is changed because the original was too NSFW lol. Shiki ends up not kidnapping Akira and holding him in captivity (unless you pick the choice that leads to that bad end).

For the manga, it's a bit of a complicated situation. You have to read on several platforms for the English version because there's no site that has the entire manga compiled in one place. Someone recently uploaded the entirety of the Togainu no Chi manga on the Internet Archive, but it's only in Japanese (and the Internet Archive is currently down). Here's how I would suggest reading the manga if you want the English version:

The manga site below has Vol 1, Vol 2, but it skips Vol 3, which is why you have to read Vol 3 elsewhere. However, the manga site has Vol 4, 5, 6, 7, and part of 8, so I still recommend you read here. The quality of the scans is not the best, but honestly this is the site I use to read the manga because it's the most accessible lol. I'll just bullet point to make things clearer.

After that, Vol 9 and 10 do have scans but... they're extremely hard to access, and they don't have any English translations as far as I'm concerned; only the Japanese raws. You have to go through hoops in joining a Russian Facebook group to access these scans (which I did because I was desperate to see my beloved Shiki in high quality lol). However, like I said, someone recently uploaded the entirety of the Togainu no Chi manga in Japanese. I would recommend reading Vol 9 and 10 off the Internet Archive, but it's down right now.

eugh it's so hard to find people to roleplay with these days, everyone is in private cliques and discord servers

so anyway here's my last attempt at screaming into the void to find interactions, these are all the canon characters I write in all the different fandoms. I write para/multipara, just about any genre (esp angst and fluff and smut) m/m ships only and 18+ for various nsfw themes, and I'm open to canon compliant threads and AUs. how did you manifest a version of your past self? asking for myself

A few plural friends of mine offered general advice on how and a couple of different pathways.

The one I ended up taking could be summarized as "remember her personality and values and assemble them as if preparing a character for roleplay, then try to learn how to direct thoughts towards this character and generate responses based on how said character would answer. Keep trying to get her thoughts on things during any idle moment and notice how not all of your thoughts seem to come from 'you', maybe they even have a different mental voice or mark."

Since what I was generating was an alternate version of myself rather than something more different from me this was slightly difficult in that most of her responses were not that different from mine, and since I went with this route I was kind of worried that I was just trying to cope kind of like Shiki Ryougi or something. It's the kind of process that felt kind of artificial at first.

Eventually it became clear that there really was another OS running in here, though. Moving my own process to the background to focus on hers instead enabled her to interact with the world enough that it became noticeable to others as well, and it also helped me notice our cognitive and emotional differences more sharply. She even had clear information gaps about games that I had played but she had not. It was really interesting to witness that kind of thing while co-fronting with her.

A recent postgrad burnout woman who has resigned from the stressful 9 - 5 STEM grad job I had to now work as a disability student support worker. There's a lot more flexibility in this role that allows me to have passions and personality outside my Degrees and Academics, haha!

Regarding birth charts and for the sake of astrology I am Taurus Sun, Capricorn Moon, and Sagittarius Rising.

I have ASD - Like many women, I was late diagnosed due to many in my community dismissing my observational signs as "quirks" and "A wee bit away with the fae". I masked a lot in my life, but I realize it is essential for my mental health to unmask where possible.

I have been roleplaying/writing since about 15/16, so I have a few years of writing experience creating OCs and writing out RP Ideas. I went on an extended hiatus as I finished university and took time off to deal with my mental health as I settled into a new routine. ONE PIECE

I tried Gild Tesoro and could never really get him going like I wanted, unfortunately. I write Carina from film gold though!

I haven't watched the movie in forever but I never got that much interested in Shiki. I don't think I'd be any good roleplaying him! I'd probably have to rewatch the movie to see if I could get interested because I don't remember much of him tbh

HOMESTUCK

I also used to write Doc Scratch in the past, but had too many bad encounters rp wise to pick him up ever again. You wouldn't believe the amount of Rose players wanting a piece of him. I do not have fond memories of my time roleplaying Doc Scratch, except for one really amazing Handmaid I used to write with. when she left, I just lost all motivation because she was genuinely the only rper I enjoyed playing Scratch against.

I also wrote Lord English, and for similar reasons as Scratch, gave up on him. The reason being too many people wanting to play the kids against him in a not so safe scenario. Tumblr was a lot wilder 12 years ago. Not a good thing.

As for midnight crew, I played them all, but specially Spades Slick in both AU and canon version, Diamond Droogs, and Kingpin. I played deuce and boxcars too, but I favored the other 3.

If you think a homestuck character, whether it's a felt (snowman my beloved), midnight crew, or troll, I probably played it. The only homestuck characters I didn't play are the kids, with exception of Bro Strider if he counts. Any others I might have played (I think I tried Dirk once) hasn't lasted more than a month on any of my rosters.

Anyway, homestuck. Had 32 blogs at some point, 20 of which were iterations of Sollux or The Grand Highblood/Dualscar. I was obsessed with them. Lost interest in Sollux though, but if you look at my blog, you'll still see GHB and Dualscar on the list lmao. Haven't roleplayed them in forever but I cannot give up on them. They're dear to me. GHB and Dualscar were my first homestuck muses hehe
