Angst starter

(Ooc: Loki has gone too long without being in pain. I must fix that.

Don't worry about matching the length of this starter my replies will not likely be as long.

Loki toyed with a set of cards, nothing unusual on the surface. But if one looked closer they could see that his movements were more agitated than usual and he kept dropping his cards. It was uncharacteristic for the Harbinger who could flawlessly preform such minor tricks with his eyes closed. His alcohol consumption seemed to have also doubled from his usual rate- which was already quite a lot.

Loki's metaphorical mask was just barely being held together. He only let it drop slightly when he figured he was secluded enough. He leaned forward, resting his head on his hands, mouth drawn in a tight line instead of his usual cocky smirk.

He'd paid another visit to the ruins of Morgenzon with the futile hope of coaxing a seed to grow, a hint of life amidst the sea of graves. Just like before, the thing died the moment it entered Morgenzon's borders. Loki had spent the rest of his time there in the ruins of his palace on a shattered throne overlooking the graves marked by jagged stones he'd made using a geo delusion.

He felt utterly miserable. There was a voice in the back of his mind, chiding him for his self inflicted pain. He didn't have to go to Morgenzon, he didn't have to visit their graves. He could leave the past in the past, forget about it, fully embrace his 'rebirth' and his newfound purpose in The Tsaritsa's cause.

He shoved that thought away. He would not relieve himself of the pain he deserved, it was his penance and he would make sure he paid it in full. For those who's lives were cut short too soon, for those who cried for their Archon in their last moments, for those he failed.

There were times when he pictured the faces in the gravestones, their gazes accusatory. Sometimes he pictured hands clawing through the ground to grab at him and drag him into the depths. Into the death he craved oh so deeply.

His musings were cut short when his feline senses picked up on the approach of a person. He tried to put his usual facade back on but it was half hearted and he wasn't sure he had the mental capacity to maintain his usual demeanor for too long.

It was an common day in sumeru’s city, The city today was lively today with many people being spotted walking the streets, as there were many people passing by you could spot someone sitting outside on the stairs steps infront of Lambad's Tavern!

It was no other then toro! the young lawyer seemed to have been there for a while.. They hadn’t moved an inch, really— After kaveh had brought them back home, They felt quite guilty, feeling as such they don’t belong in sumeru. They only really came to sumeru to see everyone, they had only seen them once or twice in the past.. they felt so out of place, they couldn’t adjust to sumeru at all, no way! So they planned on leaving.. again, without actually telling anyone.

They snuck out of the house after everyone went to bed and hadn’t been back home since then.. it had been a couple days Where they had no place to stay, They doubt kaveh, Lucien or Alhaitham even cared since nobody was looking for them— It didn’t matter anyway. They weren’t coming back.. they didn’t deserve to be there.

They finally moved, Curling up into a little ball, Perhaps someone would come along and care— they doubted it.

(The Harbinger hadn’t expected to see the alchemist within the area of Dragonspine, though, she isn’t exactly surprised either. From the tellings of her Agents and Cicin Mages that patrol this area, they’ve mentioned a blonde man with eyes that looked like an alchemy table often seen roaming through the snowy terrain.)

(But she hasn’t expected to run into him herself, having made quite a point not to run into anyone that knew her before she became Vera in the first place. Ah, but it would seem cowardly and improper to suddenly run away… Oh well, deal with the cards dealt.)

Albedo had simply been taking a walk along the snowfields of Dragonspine, admiring the beauty of it all, and potentially searching for a new landscape to pain. Though as of late, such a place had been crawling with the Fatui, often leading to frustrating situations between him and these unwanted visitors, all questions he had about this coincidence now have answers, which is quite nice to know. Though the reason behind them was less pleasant.

"...Kuval. It has been quite some time." He responded calmly, examining her with great interest. She looked quite different now, especially in Fatui garbs. Time had not treated her well, had it?
