I am amazed today as I think of the Lord and His ability to hear us when we call out to Him. With the myriad of prayers coming before His throne of grace, He carefully listens to every cry of our heart, every sigh, and makes note of every drop of tear that trickles down our cheeks and not to mention the tossing and turning and the sleepless nights. If we are unsure of exactly what we want to say, He doesn’t get confused by our words. Romans 8:26 says, "For when we do not know how to pray, the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans too deep for words."

PRAY

PRAISE: Worship God for who He is. Start your prayers with praise! REPENT: Confess specific sins and ask God for forgiveness. Acknowledge your need for Him. ASK: Ask according to God's word. Pray that he would help you live for his glory. YIELD: Surrender to Him. Lay down your desires, needs and wants at His feet.

These verses show us how humility precedes honour.

When God promotes you, no person, no demon, nothing can hold you back. But a humble heart must come first. Jesus taught us to be humble. Let us humble ourselves and be obedient to God in every area of our lives.  If we will humble ourselves, God will lift us.
