He is blissfully unaware of this fact, however. He meets Torao at work, he's a firefighter and she's a doctor. She stitched up a cut on his arm and he gets hungry, spontaneously invites her to eat and she accepts, probably hungry too (or totally thinking that the cute guy with the stupid smile is asking her out).

They go out several times after that, usually with Luffy showing up at the hospital randomly, either injured or bringing in a patient, or simply to bother Torao because he was bored.

Luffy gets a new (girl) friend.

They're weird friends, though, because one day Torao just leaned in and kissed him. On the lips! And he liked it for some reason, so they kissed countless more times.

And sometimes things get too hot when they kiss and one thing leads to another and- well, they had sex. Several times. Which is weird, because Luffy definitely has no desire to kiss, much less have sex, with his other friends. But it works, so he just classifies them as weird friends.

He's pretty sure they're NOT lovers, because neither he nor Torao made fancy proposals, with roses, candles, fancy dinner and fancy rings, like Sanji and most TV shows tell, so, definitely weird friends.

And its okay, he likes being weird friends with Torao :D

This is sooooo indulgent, my mind is just taken over by her… Here are some head cannons I daydreamed up with my pussy

Female! Logan doesn’t shave. Like ever. Due to her animalistic properties, the hair just grows back in a matter of hours, so it’s not worth the upkeep. She occasionally tries her best for special events, but it’s always rendered useless. Plus, she knows you don’t mind anyway, it’s just so much work. 

Bras are her worst enemy. Occasionally she’ll fight in a sports bra, but you will never catch her in one of those frilly Victoria's Secret bras. Unless you ask, of course. Then she’ll gladly drop a small fortune on a cute little bra and underwear set just for you. 

Every month the day before her period her cramps hit her like a truck. Despite her advanced regenerative properties, her uterus seems to be the exception. Seeing her outside her room during this time is an accomplishment as she is practically bedridden. The only way she truly survives these times is due to your care and support. You provide all her favorite foods and offer her numerous heating pads and other soothing ointments. Female! Logan will never admit it, but she absolutely adores being babied by you. 

She is usually the big spoon, scooping you up in her muscular arms. She presses you firmly to her chest and sometimes, if you're lucky, lets you turn around and practically smother yourself in her tits while cuddling. It’s like a small dosage of heaven. Wolverine would pepper small kisses in your hair, smelling your sweet shampoo. 

Other times when she’s feeling particularly soft, she’ll allow you to embrace her from behind, acting as the big spoon. 

Her arm is always around you, no question whatsoever. She’s far from insecure in your relationship, knowing how loyal you are to each other, but she just loves flaunting you to others. This pretty little thing on her hip? Yeah, that’s her girlfriend. Jealous? You should be. At least that’s Female! Logan’s mentality. 

When it’s your turn to cling onto Female! Logan, it’s always onto her arms. You love feeling the hard and soft muscles flex under your fingertips. It always gets you going.

Female! Logan is not a fan of Scott Summers. Not in the slightest. The first time you came around Xavier’s to meet the other mutants he was instantly intrigued by you. Some light conversation led to flirting on his part. Usually, he’s smart enough not to mess with Female! Logan, but he hadn’t assumed the two of you were dating until he got a swift punch right along his jawline. From then on Female! Logan has assured you were never left alone in a room with Summers for longer than thirty seconds. 

Instead of adopting regular Logan’s alcoholism, Female! Logan tends to stay more on the side of smoking. Hand her a fresh pack of Marlboro Reds and she’ll reward you that night. ;)

Admittedly, she doesn’t smell great. It could be worse, but hygiene is not one of her top concerns. Every year as one of the smaller gifts you give her is a bottle of Bath & Body Works body washes, and every year you end up just using it yourself. She believes taking brisk showers is most effective, she doesn’t have time to slather herself in expensive products. You always wonder how her hair stays so fluffy. You suppose it’s just natural.

Speaking of her hair, you are OBSESSED. She has a short layered wolf cut with the classic ear tufts, which you’re pretty sure are natural since you never see her style them. If you’re ever having a rough night just pet and play with your girlfriend’s hair for a few minutes and you’re out like a baby. Sometimes you think she has you under a magical spell. 

Backtracking to showering, you end up showering together a lot. Female! Logan always happens to need to shower at the same time you do, but you know it’s her way of asking if she could join. Of course, the answer is always yes. Her mentality of quick showers immediately goes out the window when she watches you strip down and stand under the running water. The shower wasn’t the only thing wet at that moment.

After your extracurricular activities in the shower, the aftercare is always sweet and loving. Hot water falls over both your bodies as you rub each other's skin with soap lovingly. You scrub the shampoo into her scalp, she exfoliates your legs. Once you’re both done you immediately get into your pajamas and cuddle under a nice blanket, watching something until you’re both soundly asleep. 

Everyone at the mansion thinks you guys are so cute. They constantly tease Female! Logan for being able to snag such a positive, sunshiny girlfriend. She typically shrugs them off with a mean glare and a snarky comment back, but deep down she knows she’s truly lucky to have found someone as accepting and loving as you. Sometimes she doesn’t feel she’s worth the hassle, but you always find a way to reassure her. 

It takes a few years for Female! Logan to propose, mostly because of her insecurities as a mutant, but when she does you are instantly in shambles, bawling out your acceptance. 

Female! Logan never thought she would get married, especially not to a regular human. She never thought humans could ever fully understand and accept a mutant the way that you do. Additionally, she fears her lifestyle will get you hurt, something that haunts her nightmares. But after seeing your beautiful bright smile after she popped the question there was no doubt in her mind she needed you as her wife. 

A big wedding was never what either of you wanted. If she was being honest, Female! Logan would have been happy with just eloping, but you wanted to do something small and she could never say no to you. 

On a warm day in spring, the two of you finally wed, the other residents of the mansion applauding the two of you. It was a small crowd, only a few select friends, but it couldn’t have felt more perfect for the two of you. 

a/n: I could easily write more. Someone please request a oneshot with her (and also name ideas, I don’t want to keep referring to her as Female! Logan. I’m not sure if there is already an agreed-upon name for her.)

there’s so much little things in the manga the anime omitted, partly to add more comedy and also TamaHaru scenes which didn’t do much for me in isolation and actually actively harmed the narrative and ship imo (*cough* last two episodes in particular) and this is literally the main reason why I want the entire manga to be adapted in a reboot

There's been a lot of talk/fears about Joke (and Toi Ting), now that we know character death is on the table - I'm not worried Joke will die (I am terrified they will gut us with Toi Ting but oh I hope not). I'm not saying that Joke isn't about to feel so responsible for what has happened that he's gonna get reckless with his life, because I absolutely think he will.

I think he's absolutely about to do some very stupid shit that could be his life in real danger as penance.

But I've been thinking for a while - since your initial posts about Hope and Save and their names - that Save is going to die. And now that I just skimmed a post that basically said that Joke and Save are the same character in different fonts and Save's guilt in episode 10, I'm absolutely positive.

Save is going to die.

Hope will live, because he has too. Without hope, we have nothing. (I also have a tangential theory that Save will die to save Hope, so...)

Why not a third secret option? Why can’t everyone live? Fortune Favors the Monkey King

Move over, Kitty! I'm driving this clown car straight to the opera house.

Because this is a Chinese opera.

We already know there is a Chinese influence in this story, as @veemark pointed out about the meal Joke ate with Jack and his grandma.

So with that in mind, in the fourth episode, when Nang punished the men for hurting her people, she drew the "09" stick (but she said nine-zero), which meant the men had to perform the Chinese opera of the Monkey King, which people in the tags thought was sooooo ridiculous!

In that same episode, Jack received his fortune, which was number 9 and stated, "When the fool changes black to white, the fate of the forgiver will change"

Now, skip to episode 9 when Joke gets "The Fool" card and changes the fate of Jack, the person who forgave him, so Jack's fortune was right.

Now, in episode 9, we also get the iconic team name "The Four Little Pigs"

And this is where the light bulb turned on because this is Journey to the West.

Journey to the West is an epic Chinese story that is 100 chapters long about a group of heroes having to complete a certain amount of tasks to achieve enlightenment.

The main character is Tang Sanzang who is basically a saint who wants to bring good to all the land and who everyone is in love with and wants to marry. We are introduced to him in chapter 9 of the story. He is the heart.

The first person he meets on his journey is the Monkey King, aka Sun Wukong, who was so great at being the best trickster that he became overconfident and ended up getting put in heavenly jail for 500 years. The first chapters of the story are actually about him. He is foolish, but he is also the mastermind.

He has a daughter, Yuebei Xing. She has her own story, Journey to the South. She is a badass. She fights monsters and lives to tell the tale.

The Monkey King is easily the most powerful of the bunch, but Tang Sanzang doesn't like the Monkey King's methods because they are immoral, so there is a gold ring involved that keeps him in check.

Or maybe it's this ring.

I think it's the second ring because a goddess, who keeps helping them along the way, helps them with the ring too. She is also cool.

Along the journey, they meet Zhu Wuneng, aka Pig. He is a smart fighter but he is greedy and selfish so he keeps taking shit he isn't supposed to, which constantly gets them in trouble. He is human nature (the world).

There is Sha Wujing aka Sandy, who was once a god, but shattered a crystal and ended up banished to earth to be a mortal. He is conformity without thought (the moon).

And finally, there is Bai Long Ma, who is a horse that they ride for transportation. He is human will (the star).

There is also a princess somewhere in there who must be saved from a marriage.

The group meets obstacles along the way, and lots of crazy shit goes down, but after 14 YEARS they finally come to the end of their journey.

And on their journey to achieve enlightenment they meet a squire whose loved one is kidnapped with the possibility of murder and another squire who is murdered and his wife is pissed about it because she did everything to make sure he wouldn't be harmed.

Now, if you gasped because you think Hope (or Save) will die, well . . . the number 14 fortune was Hope's.

The fortune was given in episode four which is the same episode Jack got his fortune, but it seemed like Hope's fortune played out in the same episode when he found Joke right across the hall staying with Jack.

But the thing is, in the Chinese story, regardless of which squire it is, they don't just need the Monkey King; they need the Monkey King's help.

So the Monkey King goes to the underworld to get the loved one back and succeeds (both times). But he still needs to save our saint!

Remember, the group has to do a certain number of deeds to bring peace to the land, so the group goes in to save their leader, and the ONLY reason they make it out is because all of the people they have helped along the way (especially the people the Monkey King has helped) return the favor and save them.

By saving others, they saved themselves.

So . . . I don't think anyone else is dying. However, it's been YEARS since I read a very condensed version of this story in Asian Rhetorics, and @journeytothewestresearch's blog helped me piece some of what I forgot together.

So I could be wrong, and everyone dies.

But I don't think so.

I am pumped for sooooo many things season 7 but I am so excited for the Rayla and Soren face off.

Presumably, Soren has the full context for who Runaan is to Rayla at this stage. I have to assume he knows Runaan is not merely the leader of the assasins to her. He's her father, the man who raised her.

And that has to smart with him, right? Soren spent the past few seasons and season 6 in particular, grappling with his father and who was.

Rayla was raised as a solider too. Unlike Soren who's role primarily was protection, Rayla was raised as an assassin. Raised to kill.

And here's the man who raised her like that. The killer, in Soren's eyes.

And Rayla is defending him? Fighting against her friends for him?

How does she make Soren understand that, with his background? How does she get him to understand that, yes, this man killed Callum and Ezran's father, was going to kill Ezran too... and yet she still loves him and wants to protect him.

Especially considering Soren was clearly willing to kill his own father to protect Ezran.

I absolutely adore how their friendship has developed over the seasons, and I am soooo excited to see them try and hurt each other.

Thoughts on The Double rewatch

tl/dr: The FML & SML romantic contrasts sum up like this:

Shen Yurong: Hello my darling, self-sacrificing trophy-wife. Your hands shouldn't touch weapons. They should only do dainty female things.

Xiao Heng: What's up, my fierce wild-cat? OMG your brain is sooooo freakin' sexy, btw. What? You need help learning how to kill someone? Hell yeah, Queen! *grabs her hand and head straight to the armory*

Like, seriously. Every time Shen Yurong has visions and/or flashbacks to his wife, it's basically Xue Fangfei giving c-drama tradwife vibes every time. She's either playing music, doing some calligraphy, or helping him out by selling her things and/or giving him advice constantly.

BUT every time Xiao Heng is seen thirsting over Jiang Li/XFF, it's when she's doing 5-D chess with politicians and talking herself and her family members out of trouble.

Just LOOK at him absolutely LOVING her fucking up the Li family plans. Man is totally turned on by how fucking SMART and CAPABLE she is.

Like, one thing about this scene in episode 16 is that I thought the ML was going to come running to protect/help out the FL here. I've watched enough c-dramas to expect that, ya know?

But not our man Duke Su! He's like: She's totally got this...And I should probably stay seated to manage my giant boner rn anyways.

And how green flag is that "advice" he gives her about not compromising herself & become a different person for someone else in ep 31???? It's pretty dang green, guys.

Point is: Shen Yurong only saw her as a trophy/trad-wife. Xiao Heng sees, and loves, ALL of her.

I have sooooo many feeling about Yoo Sangah and Kim Dokja. She started work at the same time as Dokja, and she put pepper in the coffee maker when she saw he was being treated unfairly at work and did various other things instead of using her status as HR. She finds the idea of Dokja living a Dokja life as something inspiring instead of depressing like he does and tries to apply the idea to herself. She knows his contract details and asks him about what he’s reading and offers to help him learn other languages that they could study together. She was the first one to figure out the fact it’s a novel because she knows Dokja and what he’s like and into.

Like. She tried soooo hard to be his friend and support him and she’s clever, not just like smart in a straight A sense but she figures shit out, and reaches out to people, and has a strong sense of justice, and is insecure, literally being described as a woman who hid herself for others

and they could’ve been friends. Even after Dokja lost his job she would’ve wanted to. But he’s too damn busy thinking she’s too cool to talk to him and hating himself for anything to happen. They would’ve killed it at trivia night. They could have a book club together and Dokja picks out the themes and symbolism and she adds historical context for what things mean.

and that’s the danger I think of hating yourself. If you spend too much time putting everyone who isn’t you on a pedestal you don’t actually get to know anything about them or see when they’re repeatedly trying to reach out to you. If someone asks what you’re doing it might be genuine curiosity and they would be invested and not make fun of you for it. I 100% believe that she would’ve listened to him ramble about TWAS and maybe even read it herself if he just allowed himself to open up to her.

I love Nancy Wheeler sooooo much, not for the usual empowerment reasons but for how tragic her character is. My heart absolutely shatters for her every single time.

Nancy's story unfortunately is not about growth, it's about loss. The cold, detached, "girlboss" Nancy that emerged around season 2 isn't the result of her growing into a more mature/fully realized person. It's the culmination of her guilt, her grief, the loss of her innocence -- it isn't really Nancy. At least, not all of it is. Nancy is strong and powerful, now more than ever, hell yeah. But she is also a nerd, ambitious and smart and a little prickly. She likes the color pink, she has a wild streak and a romantic one, she thinks Tom Cruise is dreamy, she'll fight tooth and nail to see justice carried out. All of these things are present in season 1 and they're still present in season 4. They just look a little different now.

We see a young and carefree Nancy for approximately 2 episodes before the catalyzing trauma of her life occurs. She is not who she became as a result of that trauma.

If this sounds different than how you've always perceived Nancy, I encourage you to rewatch while keeping this in mind because it really is a gut-wrenching experience (in the best way)! The first time I watched through this lens it gave me a whole new appreciation for her character. But my point is, we should be rooting for Nancy to get back in touch with her younger self- the parts of her that knew love and hope- not to stay trapped in this shell of a girl who deflects her pain with a barrage of bullets.

It was one of those rare, painfully quiet nights in the Murder House, the kind that seemed to echo with secrets. You were alone, replaying every agonizing moment you’d shared with Tate in your mind, lost in the ache of loving someone who would never truly be yours.

But then, you heard it—raised voices coming from down the hall. Violet’s voice, harsh and bitter, cut through the silence, followed by Tate’s desperate murmurs. Curiosity and a strange, painful hope drew you out of your room, down the hallway, to where they stood in the dim, flickering light.

“You lied to me, Tate!” Violet’s voice was thick with anger and disbelief. “You’ve lied about everything!”

Tate looked panicked, his face pale as he tried to reach for her, but she stepped back, glaring at him with a hatred that made him flinch.

“Violet, please,” he murmured, his voice cracking, “I was trying to protect you. I didn’t want you to find out this way.”

“Protect me?” She scoffed, crossing her arms tightly. “You lied about being alive, about everything! You kept me here, trapped in this house with you. Did you really think I wouldn’t find out that you’re dead?”

Tate’s shoulders slumped, his face etched with guilt. “I thought—I thought if you knew the truth, you’d leave me. I didn’t want to lose you, Vi. I need you.”

Her expression softened, but only for a moment. She looked over his shoulder, her gaze landing on you. Her eyes narrowed, realizing there was more to this than she’d first understood.

“And her?” she demanded, pointing at you. “Is she just some other lie, too?”

Tate’s face fell as he glanced back at you, guilt flickering across his features. He opened his mouth to speak, but you stepped forward, unable to hold back any longer.

“I’m not a lie, Violet,” you said, your voice low, though the pain in it was unmistakable. “Tate and I… we were together before you came here. I loved him.”

She looked between you and Tate, betrayal and anger swirling in her eyes. “So all those times you were with me, you were coming back to her?”

Tate tried to reach for her again, but she slapped his hand away, her voice trembling with hurt. “You… You had me believing that you cared about me, that you were only with me. And the whole time, you were playing both of us?”

“It wasn’t like that,” Tate insisted, his voice frantic. “I—I didn’t mean to hurt anyone. I just… I don’t know what I’m doing, Violet. I love you, I swear I do. But I… I just….”

“No, Tate,” Violet interrupted, her voice icy. “You don’t get to say you love me and keep her here, too, like some backup plan.”

Your heart pounded, hearing the truth finally spoken aloud. You were the backup plan, the one he could always return to when he wasn’t with her.

“Violet, please…” Tate’s voice shook as he looked at her, desperation bleeding into every word. “I didn’t want to lose either of you. You both mean so much to me. I was just trying to—”

“Trying to what, Tate?” Violet snapped, her voice rising. “Trying to keep us both under your control? Trying to make sure we’re here for you whenever you need us?” She shook her head, her voice laced with anger and something darker, something that bordered on pity. “She loved you, Tate. And you used her.”

Tate’s face crumpled as he shook his head. “Please, Violet, I know I’m messed up, but I love you. I love you both.” His voice cracked, pleading, desperate, but Violet’s expression was unmoved.

“If you loved us,” she said slowly, “you wouldn’t have hurt us like this. You wouldn’t have kept us waiting, lying to both of us.” Her eyes met yours for a brief moment, a flicker of understanding passing between you. Tate looked at her, his face broken, his hands trembling. “Please, Violet, don’t say that. I need you—”
