The air felt cool against her damp skin as she stood in front of the window, watching the distant glow of King's Landing beneath the night sky. Her body was still warm from the bath, the steam lingering in the room as it slowly dissipated, leaving behind the soft scent of lavender and rosewater.
She let her fingers trace the edges of the windowpane, feeling the cold, hard glass beneath her fingertips. It was quiet tonight—eerily so. The usual sounds of the city seemed muted, as if the world outside had gone still, holding its breath.
Her handmaid, Elira, stood behind her, gently brushing through her wet hair. The familiar rhythm of the bristles moving through her locks was soothing, almost meditative. Elira had always been there. Since the very beginning. They were the same age, but Elira had always known her place—quiet, loyal, obedient. Always there, always in the background, never faltering.
"It still hurts, you know... losing her." She spoke softly, her voice almost a whisper, more to herself than to Elira. She stared out into the dark horizon, her eyes distant. "Mother was... everything. The only person who truly knew me."
Elira didn't respond—she never did when it came to such things. She just kept brushing her hair, silent, attentive, like the shadow she had always been.
The ache in her chest intensified, a dull, ever-present throb that threatened to consume her. Who’s going to love me now? Her mother had been everything. The one person who had always been kind, always been gentle. And now, she was gone. The gods, if they even existed, had taken her away. Not just her mother, but her newborn brother as well.
Y/n blinked slowly, her eyes burning. Why did they take them? What kind of gods would do this? Why leave me behind with nothing? She couldn’t understand it, couldn’t process the emptiness that had swallowed her whole since that day. The pain was constant, gnawing at her insides like a beast that wouldn’t stop.
She hadn’t left this room since they told her. She hadn’t gone to the funeral. What would be the point? Rhaenyra had been the one to carry their mother’s body. She could have done that too. She could have honored her mother, but what was the point when she wasn’t even here? She was dead. Dead.
Y/n closed her eyes for a moment, letting herself sink into the sensation of the brush moving through her hair. "I loved her. I always did... I was kind to her, wasn't I?" The words felt heavy on her tongue, as if she were asking herself more than Elira. She knew the answer already. She had been kind. She had been gentle.
She sighed softly, her breath fogging the glass in front of her as her thoughts drifted. It was supposed to be a boy. A brother. I would’ve been kind to him too. She had already chosen the Dreamfyre egg for him, already imagined what he would look like with his silver hair and violet eyes.
But now... there was no brother. No mother. Just silence.
Suddenly, a sharp tug at her scalp broke through her thoughts, jolting her back to the present. She flinched slightly, her eyes narrowing as she turned her head just enough to glance at Elira.
"I'm so sorry, princess! Please forgive me!" Elira’s voice trembled, her hands shaking as she quickly let go of the brush, dropping it to the floor. She fell to her knees, her head bowed low, not daring to look up at Y/n. "Please, forgive me, I didn’t mean to hurt you. I didn’t... please, please, forgive me..."
Y/n stared down at her, unblinking, her mind oddly blank. Elira had always been loyal. She had always done what she was told. And now here she was, groveling on the floor, begging for forgiveness over a simple tug of hair. It was... pathetic.
But she didn’t feel angry. She didn’t feel anything.
"It's alright," she said calmly, her voice soft but devoid of emotion. "You can continue."
Elira hesitated for a moment, her hands still trembling as she slowly picked up the brush again, standing on shaky legs. She resumed her task, this time more careful, her movements slower, more deliberate.
Y/n turned back to the window, her gaze distant once more, her mind drifting in and out of the haze that had settled over her ever since her mother’s death. She could still hear Elira sniffling softly behind her, no doubt still terrified of making another mistake.
It’s fine, she told herself. She’s always been like this. Always afraid. Always apologizing. But it didn’t matter. None of it mattered.
She closed her eyes again, her fingers tracing the cool glass once more, feeling the chill seep into her skin.
Tumblr media
“I made a decision,” Viserys looked between his daughters. “I have chosen to name Rhaenyra as my heir.”
The words hit her like a wave of ice-cold water, freezing her smile in place. Wait… what? Her mind stumbled, struggling to make sense of the words. Rhaenyra? She blinked, willing herself to understand, to hear something else, but the reality pressed on her, unyielding.
“That’s… great, Father!” she managed, her voice tight and bright. Her lips twitched, and somehow, she forced them into a smile. She clasped her hands in front of her, feeling them shake, the tremors threatening to give her away. Hold it together, she thought desperately, teeth gritted behind her smile. Don’t let them see. Don’t let them see.
A cacophony of voices began to rise within her, whispering, hissing, each word cutting into her like a thousand small blades. Weak… pathetic… that’s what you are.
Her nails dug into her palms as she continued to hold her smile. No, I’m not weak… he just doesn’t see my worth yet. He doesn’t understand. But he will, he will…
That’s why Father chose her, isn’t it? Because you’re useless. Because you’re nothing.
She swallowed hard, her throat dry, and glanced sideways at Rhaenyra, who was watching her with a mixture of pride and hesitance. Rhaenyra, the golden girl. Rhaenyra, the heir. Rhaenyra… the one Father loves. Her stomach twisted painfully, but she forced herself to keep smiling, her jaw aching from the strain.
Of course he doesn’t love you, they continued. Why would he? You’re not what he wanted. You’re just a mistake, a failure, a useless little girl who couldn’t be more than a shadow.
Her heart hammered against her ribs, each beat like a drum in her ears. She felt hollow, as if she were disappearing from within, crumbling like ash. I’m not useless, I’m not… But they laughed, drowning her, making it impossible to think.
Look at him. Look at how he looks at her. Do you see that warmth in his eyes? He has never looked at you like that. He never will.
Her hands were trembling openly now, and she clasped them tighter, willing herself to stop, to silence the whirlwind inside her. I am more than this, she thought, but the words felt empty, like something fragile that could shatter with a single breath. She lifted her gaze to her father, but his expression was unchanged, his eyes full of pride—for Rhaenyra.
That’s all you are, isn’t it? A disappointment. A shadow, unwanted and unloved.
Her head swam, and she could barely hear anything beyond the mocking laughter echoing in her mind. But she kept smiling, the mask she wore cracking at the edges, her heart sinking with each passing second. You're wrong. You're wrong about me. Father does love me… he has to…
“Are you all right?” Viserys asked, frowning slightly.
The words jolted her back to the room, and she forced herself to nod, ignoring the way her throat tightened. “Yes, Father,” she said, her voice barely a whisper. She wanted to scream, to cry, to tear down everything around her, but instead, she turned to leave, her face carefully blank.
As she walked away, the voices clawed at her, unrelenting, ruthless.
Useless. Unwanted. Weak. That’s why he chose her. That’s why he’ll always choose her. Because you will never be enough.
Tumblr media
It's finally over. It had been a long day, a day that had dragged on for what seemed like an eternity. Today Rhaenyra had been named heir to the Iron Throne and she had to bow before her.
As she walked, Elira, kept a respectful distance behind her, her soft footsteps barely audible. The quiet murmur of the castle, usually so comforting to Y/n, only seemed to intensify the ache in her chest. She quickened her pace, her heels clicking sharply against the stone floor as the thoughts spiraled deeper. Why her? Why not me?
"Thanks the gods it's Princess Rhaenyra,"
Y/n froze, her entire body stiffening as she heard the words. Her mind raced, and her steps slowed, her breath catching. She looked around the corner, and saw a small group of servants standing near a doorway, talking among themselves. Her gaze narrowed as she caught the full statement.
"Ah, yes, I'm really thankful the King didn’t choose that mad cunt," one of them laughed, a harsh, ugly sound that made her skin crawl.
"What did you say?"
They immediately froze when they heard her, their faces draining of color. She could hear their frantic whispers, the way their voices faltered in fear. One of them, took a hesitant step backward.
The servants' eyes widened, and they all started stammering apologies, their words tangled together in a rush of panic.
"Please, my lady, we meant no harm, we were just—"
"We were just talking, milady. Please forgive us—"
"Please don’t—"
Her eyes locked onto the boy who had spoken the words. He looked terrified now, his face pale, his eyes wide with fear. She took a step forward, the rage bubbling over, her movements fluid and quick as she closed the distance between them. The boy shrank back, but it was too late.
“What the fuck did you just say to me?” Y/n half-yelled, her voice a venomous hiss. Everything that had been building inside her—the anger, the hurt, the rejection—came flooding out in a violent, unstoppable wave.
The servants froze, some of them taking instinctive steps back, but they couldn’t escape.
Before the boy could even react, Y/n was on him, her hands grabbing his hair. With a sickening crack, she slammed his skull against the stone wall. She didn’t even register the impact at first, her vision turning red as the anger clouded her thoughts. She did it again. And again. And again.
The sound of his skull crashing against the stone echoed in her ears, drowning out everything else. She didn’t hear the cries, the pleading, the desperate sobs. She didn’t hear Elira begging her to stop, her voice barely cutting through the haze of fury.
"Stop! Please! Stop!" Elira cried, her voice high with fear, but Y/n was beyond reason now. She could feel the boy’s head break beneath her hands, could feel the blood running down her fingers. The sound of his sobs, his frantic begging, only drove her further into madness.
And then, after what felt like an eternity, it was over. She stood there, panting, her breath ragged as she stared down at the boy’s lifeless body. His head was a mangled mess, blood seeping out from the cracks in his skull. Her hands were slick with it, the red staining her fingers, her palms.
She blinked, coming back to herself slowly. The haze began to clear. She looked down at the body, her heart still racing, the adrenaline still coursing through her veins. Her chest heaved, and for a moment, she could barely comprehend what had just happened. She didn’t even remember how she’d gotten here, or how many times she’d struck him.
He’s dead.
The thought hit her like a punch to the gut. Her heart sank, but the anger still simmered beneath the surface, still clawing at her insides. She turned to look around at the others—the servants were trembling, staring at her in horror, their faces pale and filled with fear.
Why... Why they are looking at me like this?
Y/n glanced down at her dress, now soaked in blood. It was one of her favorites. She frowned as she looked at the deep red stains, the fabric ruined. What a pity.
With a deep sigh, she straightened up, her anger beginning to ebb, leaving a hollow emptiness behind. Her voice was calm, too calm, as she turned to the servants. “Clean this mess up,” she ordered, her voice flat. “And make sure no one finds out about it.”
She didn’t care how they did it, just as long as it was done. She turned to Elira, her voice still controlled, though her emotions were a mess inside her. “Prepare the bath for me,” she said softly, almost pitiful. “I need to wash.”
As she walked away, Elira hesitated for a moment before following her. The others remained rooted to the spot, too afraid to move. Y/n walked through the hallways, the blood drying on her hands, her mind drifting in a haze of confusion and sadness.
I’m so tired. The thought came suddenly, washing over her like a wave. She let out a breath, shaking her head slightly.
But as she entered her chambers, she start thinking about the scene she left behind. The servants would clean it. They always did. But they would never forget. And neither would she.
With that, she closed the door behind her, her thoughts already shifting again, the sadness creeping back in.
Tumblr media
"The realm will never accept a woman as their ruler," Rhaenys muttered, her voice laced with the bitterness that always seemed to cloud her words when the topic of succession arose.
Y/n tilted her head and nodded, the movement slow, almost sympathetic. Oh, how tragic, she thought, her lips curling into a faint smirk. All this whining and hand-wringing. Pathetic.
She softened her features, arranging her face into what she imagined looked like mild concern. "Tragic, isn’t it?" she said, her voice dripping with a smooth, honeyed sarcasm that neither of them seemed to catch.
"When I am queen I will create a new order," Rhaenyra said, her tone defiant, her chin lifted as though challenging the world to disagree.
Yes, yes, Rhaenyra, I’m sure you would be a shining example of wisdom and honor, Y/n thought, fighting back a laugh. Keep dreaming.
"Of course you would, dear sister," Y/n replied smoothly, giving a slight, dismissive nod. "The realm would be lucky to have you."
Rhaenys glanced at her, as if sizing her up, before letting out a low, sardonic chuckle. "Men would sooner burn the kingdom than let a woman sit on the throne," she said, a bitter truth in her words that, for some reason, still failed to resonate with Y/n. Power wasn’t something one was given—it was taken. And anyone too weak to seize it had no right to it in the first place.
She hid her thoughts behind a sip of wine, watching them both with a half-lidded gaze, letting their words drift over her like idle gossip. What a pair they are—one too proud to realize her limitations, the other too bitter to let go of her grievances.
"Oh, yes, a kingdom ablaze," Y/n murmured, feigning a wistful tone. "How poetic. Such a tragic tale, isn’t it?" She held out her glass, staring into the dark red liquid as if pondering something deeply moving, though in truth, she was only admiring the way the light caught the wine.
Rhaenyra sighed heavily. "They underestimate us. They see us as delicate things, fit only to be wives and mothers."
"Do they?" Y/n’s smile widened, an amused glint in her eyes. Oh, the endless suffering. Boo-hoo.
Rhaenys was watching her with an arched brow, clearly picking up on the subtle mockery in her tone. "You don’t seem very troubled by any of this, Y/n," she observed, almost as if accusing her.
Y/n shrugged, a slow, lazy movement that exuded indifference. "Oh, I am devastated, truly," she replied, the sarcasm practically dripping from her words. "What a tragic world we live in, where women like us must endure such indignities. Really, it’s heartbreaking."
Rhaenyra shot her a sharp look. "This isn’t a joke, Y/n."
"Of course not," Y/n replied, her voice smooth as silk, unfazed by her sister’s disapproval. "Nothing about any of this is funny." She took another sip, savoring the wine and the absurdity of it all. I should be the one that wear the crown, not you.
Then, as though the thought had only just occurred to her, she sighed and placed her empty goblet aside. "Ah, but I must take my leave, unfortunately." She glanced over at them, feigning a regretful expression. "I’ve a fitting to attend for my dress, you know, for Father’s wedding. It simply wouldn’t do to be unprepared for such an occasion."
The slight in her tone was subtle, but it was there, veiled in a pleasant smile. The wedding going to happen sooner or later. What a spectacle it would be. Their dear father, so desperate to secure his legacy that he’d wed a mere girl, and all to produce another heir—a boy, if the gods were willing, and if not… well, it hardly mattered to her.
"How dutiful of you," Rhaenys remarked, a hint of mockery in her voice. It was clear she saw through Y/n’s thin veneer of civility.
"Indeed." Y/n inclined her head, lips quirking in a smug smile. "After all, it’s so important to play our parts well, isn’t it?"
She glanced back at them one last time, giving them both a pointed look, her smile widening as she took in their earnest, troubled faces. "Farewell, then. Do enjoy your discussion. Such deep, meaningful words, truly," she said, voice dripping with false admiration as she turned on her heel, sauntering away without a second glance.
Tumblr media
Y/n strode toward her father’s chambers, Ser Criston trailing like a shadow at her side. She had a perfectly charming smile painted on her lips until she came up short, blocked by two guards standing in front of the doors. Their hands gripped their spears, glancing at each other nervously before looking back at her.
“Step aside,” she said, voice a silky command.
The guards didn’t budge.
One of them, foolishly brave or utterly clueless, raised a hand. “I’m sorry, my lady, but the King has asked to not be disturbed.”
Her smile faltered, her eyes narrowing ever so slightly. “You’re saying I can’t see my father?” Her voice was calm, almost amused. She tilted her head, letting her gaze drift over their faces with cold scrutiny. “Are you sure that’s wise?”
The guard stiffened, clearly feeling her gaze like a blade. “We have orders.”
She chuckled, the sound smooth as honey but laced with venom. “And do you have any idea what I could do to you for disobeying me?” She leaned in, voice dropping low. “I could have your tongues ripped out, have you hanging from the city walls by your intestines, all while you beg for mercy.” She smiled, sickly sweet. “Or I could just tell my father you disrespected his daughter.”
The guards flinched, glancing at each other but standing firm.
She clicked her tongue, gaze sharpening. “Perhaps I should have Ser Criston here peel the skin from your faces, inch by inch? How does that sound?”
Criston’s hand drifted to his sword, his eyes darkening in anger at their defiance. Before he could make a move, Otto appeared around the corner, striding toward them with his usual calm authority.
“Ah, my lord Hand,” Y/n said, smile widening as she turned toward Otto. She cast the guards one last look before redirecting her attention.
Otto looked at her and then at the guards, clearly sensing the tension in the air. “Is there a problem here, princess?” His voice was calm, as if he hadn’t just walked into a potential bloodbath.
She tilted her head, letting out a soft, exasperated sigh. “Oh, nothing major, Lord Hand,” she purred. “Just a minor misunderstanding. These men seem to think they have the right to keep me from my father’s chambers. Quite peculiar, don’t you think?” She cast a smug glance at the guards, watching as they shifted uncomfortably.
The guards started to speak up, but Y/n shot them a warning glare, silencing them immediately. “In fact, I’d say it was downright insulting.”
Otto nodded thoughtfully, his expression neutral. “Well, princess, your father is about to attend the small council meeting. I’ve come to fetch him myself.”
She clenched her jaw, an annoyed sigh slipping from her lips as she finally gave a small nod. Fucking cock suckers. But she kept her expression calm, respectful even. Otto had always been fond of her—treated her like one of his own, in a way. No need to break that little bond just yet.
“Very well,” she murmured, stepping back as she allowed Otto to enter. She watched him disappear into the chamber, then turned her gaze back toward the guards, her expression a warning that needed no words. They quickly looked away, pretending to be more interested in the floor.
Moments later, Otto returned with her father. Viserys offered her a faint, apologetic smile, but his focus seemed elsewhere, a bit distracted. Odd. Otto, too, seemed unusually composed, almost as if there was something else on his mind.
As they walked away, Y/n glanced toward the chamber doors, half-distracted, until she caught a flash of red hair in the corner of her vision. A woman’s figure seated on the edge of the bed—her father’s bed.
Her heart skipped a beat, eyes widening. She had to suppress a sudden laugh, biting her nails as her excitement bubbled up. Oh, now that’s just… delicious.
There’s no way… Is that…? Did Otto really…? Oh, you sly, clever old fox. So that’s why Father’s been so preoccupied. And here I thought he was just mourning my poor Mother.
“Are you all right, my lady?” Criston’s voice brought her back to the present. He glanced at her with concern.
She smiled at him, a flash of brightness that was all teeth. “I’m perfectly fine, Ser Criston,” she murmured, her gaze still lingering on that red hair. Alicent. The Hand’s sweet little daughter, warming dear Father’s bed where Mother once lay. Oh, it was almost poetic.
Without another word, she wrapped her arm around Criston’s, a little too tight, leading him away, her smile widening as her mind danced with happiness. The thrill of it all simmered under her skin, making her eyes glint with a mad sort of glee.
Oh, Rhaenyra… if only you knew. Your dear friend is right here, warming our father’s bed. Such a pity you don’t see it yet. Poor, poor little sister.
Criston glanced at her, brow furrowed in confusion. “Is something the matter, my lady?”
“Nothing at all,” she purred, letting out a small laugh. “I’m just… happy, that’s all.”
Tumblr media
As the small council convened, Viserys rose to his feet, his expression serious yet strained. She cast a brief glance at Rhaenyra beside her, who watched their father with rapt attention, completely unaware.
Don’t tell me Father’s actually going to—
“I have decided… I am to marry Lady Alicent Hightower.”
The silence that followed was exquisite. Y/n’s smirk widened as she glanced sideways at Rhaenyra, whose face had turned from shock to disbelief. Rhaenyra’s eyes met Y/n’s, wide and wounded, and in that brief exchange, Y/n’s smirk told her everything. Yes, dear sister, I knew. I knew before you did. And now… so do you.
Y/n’s gaze turned cold as she looked across the room at Corlys. He sat motionless for a moment, disbelief and anger barely concealed in his face as he processed what the King had just announced. She barely held back her sneer of disgust.
This pathetic man… offering up his child to this decrepit old fool just to worm his way closer to the throne. What a spineless little weasel. Tried to sell sweet Leana to Father… You’re nothing but a cock-sucking snake, Corlys.
Corlys’ face hardened. Offended, he shot Viserys a withering look before standing abruptly and leaving the room in silence. Y/n’s eyes followed him, the smirk still tugging at her lips. Good riddance, you worm.
Next to her, Rhaenyra had gone pale. She shot a look of absolute betrayal at Alicent, whose face was touched with guilt, as if she’d known this moment was coming yet hadn’t prepared for the sight of her friend’s hurt. Then turning on her heel and storming out.
Poor, naive Rhaenyra… How perfect, to have this all crumble around you while you stood unaware.
But Y/n stayed, savoring the stunned silence that filled the room, and then, without missing a beat, she plastered on her most sincere smile.
“Congratulations, Father!” she chimed, her voice warm as she moved toward Viserys.
Viserys let out a sigh, though a relieved one, as she embraced him, patting her arm gently. “Thank you, my dear,” he replied, clearly grateful for her support.
She released him, turning to Alicent, who was still wide-eyed, not quite sure what to make of the sudden affection Y/n was showing. She shifted uncomfortably as Y/n opened her arms to her.
“Alicent,” Y/n murmured, drawing her in with a tight embrace, voice sweet as honey. She leaned close to her ear, her words just barely audible to anyone but Alicent.
“Oh, Alicent,” she murmured into her ear, “I always knew you were a little whore.” She felt Alicent’s body stiffen, but she continued, undeterred. “You shouldn’t be so pleased with yourself—you’ve married my rotting father, after all.” She let out a mocking laugh, barely a whisper. “I can only imagine… his ‘crown jewels’ are as decrepit as the rest of him. But lucky you, you’re the perfect breeding mare, aren’t you? A nice, wet hole to keep his cock warm,” she added, voice dripping with contempt, “Every night you’ll lay with him, his decaying hands on you, his disgusting, rotting body. I’ll bet even his—” she sneered, “—cock is rotting.”
Alicent’s face flushed, her breath catching as she stood, stunned and trembling in Y/n’s arms. Y/n only smiled, tilting her head to kiss her on the cheek.
“I’m so happy for you, Mother,” she cooed, her voice dripping with sweetness.
Alicent, visibly shaken, managed a faltering smile, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. “Thank you… daughter.”

there’s been no way for me to say (that i felt a certain way)
Tumblr media
Synopsis: natasha romanoff has loved you for ages and she could never seem to get it right.
pairings: natasha romanoff x reader
genre: college AU, fluff and angst.
warnings: angst?
please do not repost my work anywhere for any reason at all. if you do see this happen to any of my stories, please let me know. thank you x.
natasha met you in a very peculiar way.
it started at a friends of a friends party, in some internet starlet’s brooklyn loft.
drinks were going around, the music was loud, the smell of marijuana was very strong. she doesn’t quite remember it— after having been to a bunch of parties they all seem to blur into one— but she knows it was enough to leave a lasting impression on her.
she’d heard your piercing laugh from across the room. you, in a tight tank top and some black slacks. she could see the shine of sweat against your skin, the colorful lighting of the room making you seem so beautifully human.
everything sort of froze in the coming moments. she watched as you took your top off without a second thought. you were about to shotgun a beer and you stood tall as you did it atop the kitchen island. you didn’t need the attention, nor did you want it, but you had it.
it was a simple behavior. but it stayed with natasha long after you had crushed the beer can and tossed it on the floor somewhere.
natasha thinks you never notice her staring for the rest of the night but you do.
weeks later she sees you again at another party.
clint, wanda, tony and everyone else joins her this time. she isn’t surprised when she sees you. it was the same crowd, similar friend groups. but this time you made it easy for her to approach you.
somehow you end standing next to eachother near where all the drinks had been laid out.
"hey," you said, voice casual but warm. "didn’t expect to see you here again."
natasha smiled, though she hadn’t expected to talk to you at all. nor did she think you noticed her. "i guess we have similar taste in parties."
you laughed lightly. “guess so."
there was a beat of silence before you added, “you know, you were kinda staring at me last time.”
natasha froze for a second, unsure how to respond. she hadn’t thought you’d noticed. but before she could stammer out an excuse, you were already grinning.
“i’m just messing with you. it was funny. i didn’t think anyone would care enough to notice me.”
natasha was relieved, yet still unsure if you were actually joking. either way she felt this was going better than she planned.
the night wore on and you guys carried easy conversation. natasha was still unsure how to even approach talking to you. she felt kind of shy. so she improvised by making references to things she didn’t think you’d get, but you almost always did.
you dropped a reference to something obscure, a movie natasha had once obsessed over, and natasha stared at you for a moment longer than was socially acceptable. she couldn’t stop herself.
“you’re really into that, huh?” she said, and just like that, the bond started to form. it wasn’t immediate or instant, not the kind of connection that screams “best friends forever.” no, it was something stranger, something subtler, like two different puzzle pieces that had almost fit, only to get pushed back together by sheer happenstance.
“your references are spot on.” you laughed. natasha smiled at how easy you made it for her to be around you.
you and natasha started seeing each other more, slowly building this weird, unspoken routine. she’d text you at random, making some kind of sarcastic comment or joke only you would get, and you’d shoot back a meme that only someone with your specific sense of humor would understand. over time, you both ended up in the same circles, passing each other in the hallways of the university, at class, at parties—always just a little bit more than acquaintances, but never quite crossing into the territory of “best friends.”
there was something comfortable about it. easy, even. but for natasha, it was also strange. the more she saw you, the more she felt like there was something else there, something neither of you wanted to acknowledge. maybe it was a crush. maybe it was more than that.
it wasn’t as though either of you had been completely oblivious to the passing of time, to the fact that you were both growing older, moving through college with the same bittersweetness that everyone else felt. and yet, there was still this distance between you, an unspoken barrier that neither of you had broken down.
natasha thought about you a lot more than she’d like to admit. how she so badly wanted to cross the line between friendship and something more.
by senior year, natasha couldn’t ignore it anymore. her feelings for you weren’t just fleeting glances or passing thoughts. they were there, constant, sitting beneath her skin, running through her mind like a song she couldn’t shake. but it wasn’t just a crush. it was more. she could feel it. she knew it.
the desperation kept getting worse.
it was a slow burn.
you were months set from graduating, natasha felt it was time she’d try to test her luck.
it was late into the evening at yet another party—music blaring, laughter echoing through the crowded living room, and cups of cheap beer littering the tables. one last semester before graduation, before the "real world" set in. natasha was sitting on the couch, leaning against the back with her legs stretched out in front of her. her eyes roamed the room, scanning for someone to talk to. and then she saw you.
you were in the middle of a conversation with clint and wanda, your hands animatedly gesturing as you told some wild story about a disastrous trip to the beach, the kind of tale that had everyone in stitches. natasha couldn’t help but smile from across the room. there was something magnetic about you—how you lived so fully, how you pulled everyone into your orbit without even trying. natasha had been watching you for months now, always on the edge of your space, always wishing she could be more than just a silent observer.
she didn’t know when it started—when the simple admiration had turned into something else. but now, as she watched you laugh with your friends, something in her chest tightened. this wasn’t a crush she could just ignore.
it wasn’t the first time natasha had thought about asking you out. but tonight felt different. maybe it was the proximity of graduation, the sudden realization that this was it—that you both were on the brink of leaving behind this chaotic, unmoored time in your lives. she could either stay on the sidelines or take the chance.
she stood up, smoothing out her jacket and walking across the room. her friends—clint, wanda, and sam—noticed her approaching and exchanged knowing glances, all but daring her to make a move. natasha could feel the weight of their stares, but she ignored them. she focused only on you.
"hey," she said, stepping into the conversation, a little breathless from the nerves she’d kept hidden.
you turned, giving her that warm smile you always did. "hey, nat! what’s up?"
"not much, just wanted to, uh, ask you something," natasha began, her usual confidence faltering just a little.
“i was thinking about heading to this bar later, just to get away from all… this,” she gestured vaguely to the party around them, “and i was wondering if you wanted to join me? for drinks. just us. you know, before we all get caught up in the whole graduation mess.”
it was casual, maybe too casual. but natasha didn’t want to make it seem like a big deal. not with everyone watching.
there was a pause, just a beat too long, before you looked at her, a faint frown pulling at your brow. you were processing. “uh,” you hesitated, glancing at your friends.
clint, wanda, and sam all turned their heads at the same time, giving you the slightest raise of their brows. you bit your lip, clearly unsure, and natasha’s heart sank a little at the hesitation.
"i mean," you said slowly, looking back at natasha. "we’re friends, nat. i just… i’m not sure."
it was a gentle rejection, but it stung all the same. natasha swallowed, masking her disappointment with a shrug. "no, yeah, of course. no pressure." she let out a quiet laugh, her hand rubbing the back of her neck, trying to laugh it off. "i was just messing with you. don't worry about it."
you nodded, a small, apologetic smile on your lips. "i mean, i’d love to hang out more, just—"
"totally fine," natasha interrupted, her voice light but edged with something that made her own heart ache. she smiled, keeping it neutral. "maybe some other time."
she turned away quickly, but she felt your eyes on her as she walked back to the couch, her friends watching the entire scene unfold. clint raised his brows, and natasha just shook her head, not wanting to give them the satisfaction of knowing how deeply that small exchange had affected her.
but inside, it stung. it stung more than she cared to admit. it wasn’t just a small rejection. it was the fear that maybe you had noticed her feelings all along and were just too scared to say anything about it.
that night, natasha tried to sleep, but her thoughts wouldn’t stop racing. you were everything she had wanted, but in this strange, liminal space, neither of you had been brave enough to admit it.
weeks passed, the semester came to an end, and graduation day loomed on the horizon. natasha and you both moved on in your own ways, starting to make plans for life after college. but something lingered. something unsaid. life became a little more faster, and faces got a little older.
you reached out to her a few times. it was never the same as before. it was different now, with this strange tension lingering between you both. but you kept in touch, as if you both were afraid of letting go of something that might have been, something that might have still been.
and maybe it was ridiculous, natasha thought, but she was okay with it. she had loved you for years, and maybe that was the most honest thing she could admit to herself.
because even if you two had never been the closest of people, you’d always been there. always in the background, always in between. and somehow, that was enough for natasha. enough for her to hold on to the hope that maybe, one day, you’d both be able to finally figure it out.
it had been two years since you both left the university. two years where natasha had started a career in marketing, constantly moving up, climbing the corporate ladder while trying (and failing) to suppress the things she didn’t want to feel about you. she had dated, of course. a couple of short-term relationships, nothing serious. but nothing had ever lasted, and she had never quite understood why until now. the answer had always been there, hovering just out of reach, in the form of a text, a call, a passing thought about you.
as for you, you’d moved across the country for a job in graphic design. you didn’t think much about natasha at first. life had been busy—new city, new friends, new routine—but every now and then, you'd wonder if she'd thought of you. if she remembered how everything had felt when you were both on the brink of something, but never quite dared to cross the line.
and then it happened.
it wasn’t planned. it wasn’t expected. but one saturday evening, natasha found herself sitting at a bar in brooklyn after a long week at work. she’d had a rough day. one of those days where everything felt like too much. and then, as she nursed her gin and tonic, she heard someone call her name.
it was a voice she hadn’t heard in what felt like forever.
“natasha?”
she turned, already recognizing the voice before she even saw your face. and there you were, standing in the doorway of the bar like a memory coming to life. your hair had grown a little longer, and you looked different, older in a way that made Natasha’s heart skip a beat. but you were still you—the same you who had been in those parties, those late-night study sessions, the one who had always made her laugh with a look or a passing reference.
for a moment, neither of you said anything. just stood there, eyes locking, as if trying to figure out whether this was real.
“i didn’t know you were in new york,” natasha said, her voice betraying the sudden weight in her chest. she couldn’t keep the smile from forming, even though she tried.
“i wasn’t planning on being,” you said, grinning. “work sent me here for a few weeks. i was meeting some friends, but it’s been a while, so i thought i’d just see if you were around.”
it wasn’t exactly casual. but you both knew it wasn’t entirely random, either. it felt like fate had decided that you two were finally going to do this.
you sat down, and the conversation flowed as naturally as it always had. the awkwardness of the past melted away. you didn’t need to pretend anymore. there were no more games, no more hesitations.
just you and natasha, picking up where you left off, though this time, the space between you felt a little different. there was an understanding now, a quiet knowing in the way you both spoke, a recognition that time had done its job.
“so…how’s life?” natasha asked, pushing her drink aside and leaning in a little closer.
you shrugged, but there was something different about you too, something less guarded. “it’s been alright. busy. but you know how that goes. i’ve been thinking about home, though. about—” you paused, then looked directly at natasha. “about people i should have kept in touch with.”
natasha’s heart was thudding in her chest, but she kept it together. she was a master of hiding emotions, after all. “yeah?” she asked, her voice softer now.
“yeah,” you said, with a smile that made natasha’s stomach flutter. “it’s funny how things work out. you don’t realize what you miss until you’re standing in front of it again.”
time had always been a strange thing between natasha and you—something both distant and close at the same time, like a thread that wound its way through your lives, never quite snapping, always lingering. you’d known each other for years, seen each other at parties, shared quiet moments, and laughed at the same jokes. but all that time, there had always been a hesitation. a space between the two of you, filled with something—something both of you had been aware of but had never dared to name.
it was the kind of thing that was easier to ignore in college, easier to pretend it wasn’t there while you were both busy with classes, with your lives, with the thrill of being young and not yet knowing what you wanted out of the world.
but that something between you had always been there, pulling at both of you, quiet but undeniable. the way you caught each other’s eyes a little too long. the way your conversations turned into something more meaningful without either of you intending it. the way natasha would see you at parties and catch her breath for just a moment. the way you’d smile, as if you both knew, but neither of you was brave enough to act on it.
you’d both dated people. tried relationships. but it had never lasted, had it? there was always that nagging feeling in the back of your mind—something missing, something not quite right. as if your lives couldn’t fit together because they weren’t ready to yet. you didn’t have the words for it, and neither did natasha. but you both knew. you always knew.
the things that had once seemed complicated—life, timing, fear—suddenly didn’t feel as big as they once had. there was a quiet honesty between you now, as if you both had grown enough to stop pretending you didn’t feel it. the awkwardness, the hesitation, the “maybe” that had been there before was gone.
it was you. it had always been you. and you knew it too.
“so,” natasha said after a beat, her voice softer now, quieter than before. “what are we doing here, really? we’re not strangers. we’ve known each other for, what, almost four years now?”
you looked at her, your lips curling into a smile that didn’t hide the tension in your gaze. “we’ve known each other longer than that,” you said. “we’ve always known.”
“i think i’ve always been afraid of this,” natasha admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. “afraid that i’d say the wrong thing, or that it would mess things up between us. that maybe the timing was never going to be right.”
you nodded slowly. “i’ve been afraid of that too.” you paused, then added with a wry smile, “i was never good with timing.”
“maybe we don’t need perfect timing,” natasha said softly, her gaze meeting yours with something she hadn’t let herself feel before—a quiet certainty. “maybe it’s just the right time now. after all this time.”
you didn’t answer right away. you didn’t have to. instead, you reached across the bar, your hand brushing gently against hers, and just like that, it all clicked. there was no more hesitation. no more waiting. you both knew what this was, what it always had been.
“yeah,” you said, your voice low and certain. “i think you’re right.”
and that was it.

"Even if that's the case! We can't! Our friends are still in this place. We have to find them." Hana said even if she was worried. She wanted everyone to be safe.
"And what if your friends are out of there?" Akane said.
"They would have told us if they were. Besides, we got no word so we are not leaving even so." she mutters but Akane sighed to shake her head.
"I understand...but look..."
"Hey, is that the elevator?" Akane blinks to look seeing it was. A really old one but still looks good to use. Their was another room but that had to be the office. Seeing this, Akane goes to check while opening the door. As usual it was unlocked lucky. She opens it and turns on the light, seeing it show the inside. She looks to see everything coated in dust but the key was hanging on the side.
"There we go. I got the key, we can open the backroom safe house." she said as Nobara, Yuria, and Hana nods. She did go ahead to turn on the elevator and see it powering up.
((Powering.....please wait ten minutes before Elevator is fully operational.))
"Seems we have to wait..so lets check the room then." Hana said as Akane sighed as the girls started walking back. It shouldn't take too long before she sees it. The same door remains the same as it was left while Akane goes to insert the key turning it. Their was a slight click before hearing the motor for the door turn on. Some lights turned on before Akane saw the door starting to lift up to open.
"It's working!" Yuria said.
"Yep..once this opens we can get inside." Akane said turning to check the motor to be sure it didn't do anything. While the three waited, Akane was checking before Hana looks before she tenses. She felt something...wrong.
"You okay Hana?" Nobara said.
"..Y..Yeah..I just...get a feeling something bad is behind that door.." she mutters.
"Bad? As how?" Yuria said. As Nobara looks she saw the opening ready to the backroom safehouse was available.
"Alright ready to go?" Akane asked but their was something behind her. This made Yuria, Nobara, and Hana tense.
"You three okay?" she asked as something showing robot claws was reaching out while hovering over Akane.
"A..A..A..."
"AKANE, BEHIND YOU!!"
"!?" She turns to look but saw something as it shows robot like teeth as it opens it's mouth wide showing gears and things inside. That's when it lowers to quickly try to eat her as she keeps it from doing that.
"Get off you freak!"
"Sort of. Also what is up the backroom safehouse? Why we can't go inside?" She asked Akane.
"Lets just say that way is locked. I don't have the key to that room sadly. Though, the key for it should be near the elevator. Theirs a room by the door in case others had to manually fix it. Sometimes back then the elevator would shut down as it goes up and down. It's kinda old." she laughed walking.
"Wait, it's locked? All this time?" Hana asked.
"Yep. After what happened back then: they moved the key to the room by the elevator for protection. They didn't want anyone going near to open it or mess with it. But after so long, it should be safe to open it. Once we have the key we can head there. Maybe we can get some clues." she said to the girls.
"That's true. Maybe even a way out of here." Nobara sighed not liking this place. Too dark, cold, and dirty for her tastes.
"Trust me, once we get to the elevator we just have to head up and we are out of here."

Tumblr media
Jinx
If you two knew each other when you were children she would have been the one helping you train and you two would try new things to see how much of your magic you can do.
If you two didn't know each other Jinx would be fascinated by your magic abilities, she would ask question on how they work and she would ask you to show her some tricks.
She would even make you a weapon that would be able to use your magic.
Of course the weapon would be covered in doodles but you don’t mind, the moment she gives it to you she forces you to try it so she can see if it works.
Jinx loves watching you fight, especially when you use the weapon she made you for the first time, shes very happy that it works.
She loves seeing you do little tricks with your magic, she especially loves it when she sees you showing Isha some of Jinxs favorite magic tricks.
Caitlyn Kiramman
Caitlyn is very impressed by your abilities, she has only ever met a handful of mages, and she was never close with any of them to know more about magic.
She’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand how it works and how you use it.
Whenever you use magic Caitlyn can't help but admire you, you just look so mesmerizing and beautiful she can't help it.
You being from the Undercity didn't change much in your relationship, but you did start to notice the changes in her character towards talking about the Undercity after the attack.
As a strategist, Caitlyn sees the potential for your abilities in a fight and often works with you to plan how your magic and her sharpshooting can complement each other. You two make a terrifyingly effective team.
Caitlyn would get Jayce to make a special weapon for you that would accommodate your magical abilities but you almost never use the weapon, prefering to use your staff.
Maddie Nolen
Maddie loves watching you do magic, she finds it fascinating, asking you many question about magic and how you use it.
Maddje is absolutely your biggest supporter, always cheering on you and supporting you even when you are fighting someone.
Maddie doesn't mind that you are from the Undercity, though there are some comments she makes that leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
She loves watching you preform little magic tricks, Maddie looks at you like a love sick puppy, her eeyes sparkling as she watches you.
Maddie would praise you to everyone and everything, talking about how cool and awesome you are, gushing about you the whole time.
She admires you and your magic, she just doesn't understand why you wouldn't want to help capture Jinx and clear the Undercity.

i've been working retail for 5 years now and have been an associate, stocker, lead, etc etc everything you can think of. tell me why i've never had my intelligence and demeanor insulted at any of the places i've worked before but suddenly when i start working for green discount store, suddenly i'm an idiot?
the store is located in a low-income area so there is a slight "issue" w theft but honestly i couldnt care less abt the store's reputation. if you wouldnt have eaten tonight otherwise PLEASE steal food you need it more than the CEO needs another dollar. i'll be aloof on purpose just be sneaky enough about it. however. one of the managers has noticed my stance on this and now is making it her job to pick on me for it every chance she gets.
she will do something big and distracting and startle me like waving something in my face or clapping real loud and when i'm like "wtf" she'll be like "what if while u were distracted a customer ran off w a bag full of stolen food. can you live with the guilt" and will get Really Fucking Mad when i say "very easily"
like. girl. you're low-income too. how can you not understand the concept of you and your fellow humans needing and deserving to eat and be clean MORE than this company deserves to make money off of that need. i don't know how that's a radical and asinine thought.
when you, a person in the same situation, tell me, "people that steal even if they have fewer options are degenerates and going to hell," why are you here? quit retail. become a cop and get paid to punish poor people for being poor since that seems like it would have been your first choice had you had the opportunity.
this job is disposable to me bc i can easily find another doing the exact same thing as i'm doing now and for the time i'm here i would rather assist in putting food in mouths and putting soap on bodies than being a snitch. like are you kidding me

SLEEPOVER!!
warnings: smoking, making out, ellie calls reader a hoe once but playfully‼️, mention of sex and i think tyats all. IM FROM EUROPE IF ITS BAD IM SORRY LMK OR SMT. NOT PROOFREAD
a.n.: i dont like the begging and i think its going to be a series but it depends if i have a lot of work to do😊
(reader-🩷, ellie-💙) you and ellie dated for a few months now. ellie invited you for a sleepover since her father figure, joel, was out of town for work related things. you were headed to her house after school. you knocked on the heavy, wooden door and waited. you also texted ellie just to be sure. after a few seconds you heard someone unlock the door and open them. then you saw the love of your life with her dog between her legs so she wouldnt run off “come on shimmer.. stay in the house” she grabbed the dog by her collar and pulled her away from the door. “hi cutie!” you walked in and closed the door. first thing you did is sayinh ‘hi’ to ellies dog. “you come over just for shimmer” ellie chuckled and messed with your hair. “thats right” a smirk appeared on your face and you looked up at ellie. she was standing and looking down at you. your crouched figure was playing with her dog. her cheeks blushed at this position but she shook it off. “im so tired” you broke the uncomfortable silence. “wanna take a nap?” ellie smiled and grabbed your bag from tge floor. “yeah… i would love to..” a yawn escaped your mouth and you finally stood up. you couldnt help the urge to hug ellie. you arms wrapped around her and yiur head sinks into her neck. “everything okay, baby?” she asked and wrapped her arms around your waist. “mhm…” you mumbled “im tired” you whined. you really didnt know what was happening. normally you werent so whiny and desperate for her attention. “lets go to my room” ellie rubbed your back with her free hand. you just nodded and pulled away. ellie locked the front door and you both went to her room. her room was filled with posters and pictures with you, jesse, dina and joel. her favorite was next to her bed. it was a pictute of you and her dog sleeping on her bed. you were in one of her shirts. ellie adores this picture. “i don’t understand why you love this photo so much.” you sat on her bed and took the picture in your hands. “i look so weird.” your eyes met her wide eyes. “WHAT” ellie dropped your bag and walked to you “you are so cute in here. so innocent. AND you are with my dog! literally two things i love the most” you just rolled your eyes and took your shoes off. ellie showed you smoking weed but you showed her vapes. you pulled your pink and pretty vape and started smoking. “god this whole day i couldnt smoke” you whined and leaned back. ellie placed the picture on its original place and laid next to you. “whys that?” she looked at you, then your vape and then back at you. you shook your head in disbelief and gave her your vape. “i had so much to do and i couldn’t just go for smoke. it was exhausting.” “poor baby” she siad back and exhaled the smoke. “why is it so hot in your room?” you whined and took your jeans off. you pulled out a pair of sleeping shorts and pulled them on. “i dont know… if i keep it hot in here would you underss even more?” ellie teased. you just rolled your eyes and laid down again. “give me my vape” you mumbled. “and what if i dont?” ellie chuckled and took a puff. “pleaseeeeeeee” you whined and sat up. “you are begging already? someones needy” she teased. she was in some kind of attitude. normally she was more awkward and shy but tonight it was very different. “baby please…” you sat on her hips and tried to get YOUR vape out of her tight grip. “you. mother. fucker.” you struggled. a lot. she took a puff just to tease you. you gasped and kissed her. the smoke filled your mouth as you two shared a kiss. you pulled away and exhaled the remaining smoke from your lungs. “you addicted hoe!” ellie teased. “am not!” you gasped in offense. ellie pulled you into a kiss. The kiss turned into a passionate make out session. You ended up without your shorts and she ended up without her shirt. one of ellies hands were on your thigh and her other one on your lower bavk. your hands wrapped around her neck. after a while you pulled away and tried to catch your breath. PART 2 ???

I'm a white trans disavked queer person and no I do not pass, yes I have been discriminated against, yes I am absolutely not favored by society, but you know what I still do? Fucking stand up for people of color. If I see someone saying racist shit, I'm not gonna avoid talking to them cause 'oh no they might be transphobic!!' I am inherently more privileged- even if this person is violently transphobic or ableist, I will not be able to convince them to stop being those things, but I'm still white and they will still listen to me on that level and perceive me as a fellow white person, even if I am an inferior white person in their eyes.
Literally this is EXACTLY what Blair was talking about. She clearly understands this far better than you do, and you aren't even making a damn effort. You aren't the exception. You aren't special. We are not special because we're trans, because it's scary,,because there's laws banning our existence. Yes, we also need people to stand up for us. This doesn't mean we can't stand up for others. You're acting like being marginalized and white makes us weak and helpless and unable to be a halfway decent community to POC and Black folks, which is not only racist, but also just dressed up bigotry. Yes, it might be dangerous for us. It's less dangerous then it is for them. If it's truly life or death to talk to someone for you, you absolutely have white family and white friends who will be safer than you. It's your responsibility to protect our community. And truly, most of this shit is not only not dangerous, but not even incredibly brave. When your white aunt says something weird and fucked up about Black men and boys, call her out. Explain to her what she's doing wrong. Not everything is a alt right neonazi with a gun (and even when it is an alt right neonazi with a gun we are NOT going to leave poc to deal with thst shit on their own).
Stop playing the damn victim. Yes, sometimes it's hard. Sometimes you lose friends or get yelled at by someone, or even get into a fight. That's scary. You, by privilege of being white, are far less likely to get actually fucking killed for calling some racist dick out. This is a community. We need to support each other and fight back against people who try to pick us off one by one. Your well being will be fine. If you need a break from fighting people, take one, and then get back into it. Your wellbeing is NOT more important than non-white lives. Don't say you 'get this' and immediately demonstrate that you in fact have no fucking clue what this was talking about. You are the problem.
If you are watching POC be abused and attacked and you feel at all comfortable (this includes sad or scared! You can be comfortable and also sad or scared!) You are actively benefiting from and perpetuating white supremacy and racist systems. You are being racist. (If you look at that and have a mental breakdown, you need to fucking deal. Every single white person has been or will be inadvertently racist in their lives. I know I have and we need to know that to fight it)
if anyone who isn't just a random white guy (hello) would like to add something or amend something I said that's incorrect or fucked up, PLEASE let me know. I make no claims to be at all any sort of expert on oppression that I don't personally face
Blair Imani made an excellent video that I really wanted to share with my white viewers, especially given the current climate. (Though, really, I could say everyone when it comes to antiblackness).
But yeah, we don't host these platforms just to hear ourselves talk 😅 It's not good enough anymore to go "oh, well, I know what's up so I'm Good" while you're passive in a space (fandom and outside), where The Problem is socially acceptable and in fact, encouraged. Especially when you have power in the space. Be willing to get uncomfortable. Be willing to speak up when your favorite creators are racist, or at least unfollow them and stop supporting their work. Have these conversations with your friends when they come up, even when they're going to be hard. Allyship requires action, and it's the- well, y'all know what I was bout to say. 👍🏾

Dressed Up Treachery (x Sylus)
Warnings: none
Tags: f! Reader (pro trans blog), MC Reader
Synopsis: Sylus gets jealous and that’s never a good thing
You were in another room, getting ready for an event with a dress you picked out yourself. An off shoulder silk bell strap with the fabric reaching your ankles, dyed in soft colours and embellished beautifully, however needing to be zipped up from behind. You tried to reach it, but failed, eventually looking for your phone to ask Sylus to come help you, soon realising you left it in his room.
You groaned, holding up your dress on your chest with your hands, lightly taking footsteps to Sylus’ room. Before you could knock, you heard someone clear their throat behind you.
You looked back to see Luke, or perhaps Kieran, with a box of cufflinks for Sylus in his hand. “Oh, thank god you’re here.” You chimed. “Help me zip up my dress.”
“Uh…” The voice seemed like it belonged to Luke. “Are you sure boss won’t get mad at me?”
“What? That’s so silly.” You laughed. It was truly a small thing. You just needed help with a zipper. Luke gulped, setting the box on the table beside the door, and soon you felt a gloved hand lightly push your hair on your shoulder, and zip you up.
“I’ll give him these, thanks!” You said, referring to the cufflinks. Luke took a bow, and almost sprinted away. You picked up the box and knocked on his door, hearing a cold ‘come in’. You lightly came inside, seeing Sylus in front of the wall mirror, fixing his tie. Thankfully, it wasn’t positioned in such a way that you were visible, so you tried to sneak up on him.
“Terrible habit, kitten.” Sylus sighed, turning around to face you, his face breaking into a smile when he saw you dressed up. “You look beautiful.”
“Thanks.” You feel heat rush up to your cheeks when you noticed Sylus wasn’t looking away from you. You shied away, handing him the box. “Your cufflinks.”
“Help me put them on?” Sylus asked, opening the box and taking them out. You clumsily took the cufflinks, and his large hands, taking your time with it, discarding the box on his vanity. You could tell his red eyes were still on you and that made you a little conscious. “Stop staring.”
“Do you really expect me not to? Such a pretty girl, and she’s all-“ Sylus stopped for some reason. You were almost done with his cufflinks, so you looked up at his frowning expression.
“Kitten, why do you have my cufflinks in the first place?”
“Oh. I needed help with zipping up my dress, so I came to you. But Luke— well, at least I think it was Luke— was outside so I asked him to do it!” You spoke non chalantly, finally finishing up. You expected Sylus to nod in understanding and move on, but something was suddenly off about him. He looked irritated.
“You what?”
Sylus was not looking pleased, to say the least. His eyes bore into you, accusatory and hurt, as if demanding an explanation. It almost reminded you of someone else you knew. Your relationship with Sylus was inexplicable, something between business partners and actual partners, but you never actually addressed it. He’d never said it out loud, but the way he held you, looked at you, spoke of you, made everything confusing. He acted as if the two of you already belonged to each other without even a single moment that confirmed it.
Maybe this was it.
“It’s just a dress.” You rolled your eyes, stepping away to sit on the bed, but he held you back gently by your waist, making sure not to touch your skin. You looked up at him, upset yourself, thinking you did something wrong.
Sylus sighed, trying to appear less annoyed once he saw that look. “Next time, only ask me for things like this.”
You were about to say something to protest, but he continued. “Things like zipping up your dress, helping you put your heels on, braiding your hair… leave them to me, please.”
“Why?” You pushed, defying him still. You felt bad, he was being patient and gentle, but you wanted some clarity in that matter. You pulled away from him to sit down on his bed, playing with the pearls on the skirt of the dress.
“Because.” Sylus seemed to lose his patience as he moved to tower over you, his hands on either side of you. “These small moments with you are precious to me. I want all of them. I want them, and I want you,” He moved closer, his lips next to your ear, his hair tickling your cheek, “all to myself.”
There was none of that usual snark or teasing in his voice, it was just a pure, possessive, pleading tone. You wanted him to be more explicit, but only managed to let out a ‘mhm’ as he got off you, a pat on your head.
So that’s the definition you held on to, and the fact he wouldn’t take his hand off you for the rest of the evening, asking you your views on everything, making sure you didn’t drink too much, treating you with care and affection like never before. You could only lean into him, and accept all of it shamelessly, not even thinking about the eyes on you.
-x-
Bonus;
As you and Sylus retuned home, something felt amiss. “Hey, where’s Luke?” You asked Sylus, as Kieran took the keys to take the car into parking.
“He’s on clean-up duty.” You cringed hearing that. That was never a fun task.
“And for something he didn’t even do.” Kieran whispered to himself, stifling a laugh.

Jjk girls (+ genderbent) struggling to open a soda can for you
A/n:I know I did a very similar prompt only 3 days ago and I'm also kinda behind with requests but this idea came to my head and I could not stop thinking about it because of how funny it was
Nobara kugisaki
Tumblr media
"Just get yuji to open it for you"
"I'm not carrying your shopping bags anymore if you don't"
"E-eh? Why?"
"You say you love me and you can't even open a can for me?"
Nobara sighs before taking the can
"Alright, Alright, sorry"
She tries to open the lid, but nothing works. She tries a few more times, getting increasingly angry before taking one of her nails and trying to poke holes into the can
"......nobara, sorry, but won't that make the soda come out of the holes?"
"Who cares? This can is indestructible anyway"
When even that doesn't work, she just brings out her hammer to smash it, but the can still stands there like nothing happens. She still continues smashing it out of anger
"What *smash* The *smash* Heck *smash* Is *smash* this *smash* can *smash* made of!!!"
"P-please calm down babe"
Maki zenin
Tumblr media
She sighs, seemingly annoyed, but actually kinda loves showing her strength to you.
She's kinda used to this. You and yuta often ask her for help with stuff that requires physical strength, so she thinks this is gonna be easy
......if only she knew
"Hm?"
"Something wrong maki?"
"The can, it's not opening"
"Really? Not even you can do it?"
"Wait, I'm still trying"
She's too stubborn to give up, so she tries for a lot of time before putting it back on the table angrily
"This isn't one of gojo's pranks is it?"
"No I got it from the vending machine"
Maki sighs before standing up and walking away. You think she got mad and went to train or something, but then you see her come back with her polearm and try to stab the can........it still doesn't work
"WHAT THE HECK?!"
Yuki tsukumo
Tumblr media
"Don't worry, let your lovely special grade gf handle it"
You roll your eyes as she takes the can and tries to pop the lid off with her thumb to show off. When that doesn't work, she narrows her eyes at the can before trying again with her full strength
"*ngh* come on..... open! I need to do this for y/n"
"Y-yuki it's fine I can get another o-"
"No, no i almost got it"
When she realizes that the can is this strong, she tells you to stand back and puts the can on the table before backing off herself
"W-what are you about to do?"
"Open this goddamn can that's what"
You start sweating as you understand what she's about to do
"Star rage:jupiter"
She puts a lot of mass in her fist and tries to punch the can, which gets flung on the other side of the room, almost breaking the wall from the impact.......completely intact
"W-W-W-WHAAAAAAAAT???!!"
She might have considered using her black hole move on it before you comforted her
Genderbent characters:
Fem!gojo
Tumblr media
She gives you a teasing smirk as you hand her the can
"What, is that can giving you too much trouble?"
"You try opening it. The lid is practically glued on"
"Whatever you say"
She takes the can and opens it without even looking at you, giving it back to you with a smug smile, expecting a kiss from you
"........tori, the can is still closed"
".........Eh?"
She actually looks at the can and sees it is indeed still open. She looks confused before trying some more times with increasing strength, when even those don't work, she's the most confused she's ever been
Her six eyes are telling her that that's just a normal can and yet she still can't open it. Her. Satori gojo, the honored one, the strongest sorcerer of today.....can't open a normal soda can
She tries everything. Pulling the lid off with blue, destroying it with red, even crushing it with infinity but nothing works....she feels like the can itself is humiliating her..... now it's personal
She tells you to stay out of the way and pulls her blindfold down, getting into position
"You want to make me look like this in front of my love? Well then, you got another thing coming"
You wonder who's she's talking to before you hear her start to chant immediately getting worried
"Nine ropes, polarized light, crow and decla-"
"WAIT, DON'T SATORI, YOU'RE GONNA DESTROY EVERYTHING!"
Fem!sukuna
Tumblr media
"I know you're strong enough to open that, if you weren't I would have never gotten with you"
"I know, but this can is insane. It's practically indestructible"
"Hm"
Sukuna isn't one to refuse challenges, and she knows you're not lying since she saw you struggling before, so she grabs the can with one of her four arms and pulls the lid off......only to see the can is unchanged
She lets out and amused sound before trying again, even with all 4 of her arms it didn't work
"I'll admit, this is weirdly difficult, Is this some sort of new cursed object humanity created?"
".......n-no it's just a soda can"
"Well, it's still no match for me"
You saw her wave on her hands at the can
"Cleave"
Even after her cleave and a few more dismantles the can stays completely unharmed, and that's when she starts getting mad
She's the queen of curses and the strongest sorcerer in history she literally abandoned everything (except for you) to become the strongest......she CAN open a soda can
"Dear, do you mind going outside"
".......s-sure"
Even from outside, you could still hear her next words
"Domain expansion:malevolent shrine"
She kinda forgot her domain was an open barrier one and ended up destroying everything near the can.....she still didn't care as she could still see that the can didn't have a single scratch on it
She later went outside near you as your house and everything around it burned in flames
".........was using fuga too necessary"
"Yes"
Fem!toji
Tumblr media
"You sure this ain't just a way to see me use my muscles?"
"*sighs* just do it ok?"
"Calm down, I was just joking"
She smiles and takes the soda can in your hand. Just like maki, she's used to opening stuff for you, and part of her likes it. It's a way of showing her that you like her heavenly restriction and don't judge her because of it like the rest of the jujutsu word.
She gets lost in thought and doesn't even notice that the can didn't open, but when she does, she tries even harder, but it still doesn't work. How is this possible? She opened so many food containers for megumi and tsumiki that this should be second nature
"A-are you alright? You look like you're struggling"
"Struggling, me? Nah, I'm just getting warmed up"
She's actually angry now, so she pulls out her inventory curse and grabs the inverted spear of heaven, and tries to stab the lid.. when that still doesn't work, she just goes all out and stabs the can.......to no avail
At this point, she's just frustrated and panting because how the heck is this soda can harder to deal with than gojo? She takes a break for a while and megumi walks in the room having seen all this
You let him try to open the can just for fun
"Mama, were you trying to open this?"
"Not now gumi mama's bus-.........."
Her jaw just completely dropped, seeing that her son actually opened the can
".....how the fuck?!"
"Language! Not in front of the kids!"
Fem!nanami
Tumblr media
"Of course honey, let me handle it"
As your wife, nanami particularly enjoys helping you do stuff like this, especially since she knows she is quite strong she loves putting this quality of hers to good use for the person she loves
"Hm"
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing, the lid just seems really stuck there....no matter"
She goes to get a can opener from a shelf, but even that doesn't work, she tries a few more times, but nothing happens
"It's alright dear, I can get another one"
"No,no, please, I got it, It just seems I'll have to be more brute than usual"
She starts getting serious and puts her tie around her hand, making it glow with cursed energy. When she tries to open the can this way.......it still doesn't work
She even tried using her technique to make a weak spot in the can to try to yank the lid off there, but still nothing
"I am truly sorry, I thought it would have been easy, but it seems this can is really tough"
"Don't worry I couldn't do it either"
From this time on, she always checks if she can open the jars or cans you two buy just not to disappoint you like this again
Fem!yuji
Tumblr media
"Oh, for sure, I got it"
Even before she got cursed energy, itadori (I dunno if Yuji is a gender neutral name, so I'll just call her itadori for now to be safe) has always been very physically gifted and strong, so her friends did on occasion ask her to open cans for them when they hung out, so she thought nothing if this and tried to open the can.......only for it not to move
"Eh? What's this? This is the first time I can't open a can"
She tries pulling harder, even putting a bit of cursed energy in her hands, but it still doesn't work, and she starts getting mad and embarrassed because she kinda wants to show you how strong and awesome she is
So sukuna (who is a woman also in this) tries to take advantage of that
"Oi brat, if you let me out, I can open the can for your partner"
"No way! I got it, just *breathes heavily* a few more tries"
"*sighs* whatever"
Eventually, she gets sick of it and just puts it on the table preparing a fist
"W-what are you doing?"
"Don't worry, I'll open the can for you y/n!"
She yells as you see the curses energy in her fist turn red and black
"Black flash!"
The can is on the other side of the room now but still intact, and you see your girlfriend smash her head on the table dejectedly.....you have to comfort her.
Meanwhile, sukuna in her head:
".........why does this situation feel so familiar?"
Fem!megumi
Tumblr media
"Are you serious? You can fight curses, but you can't open a regular soda can?"
"Come on, I don't know what this can is, but it's not regular, I tried everything but it doesn't open"
"*sighs* what a waste of time"
She grabs the can and tries to open it while glaring mildly at you. Her gaze switches to the thing in her hand when, even after the third attempt, nothing happens
"See?"
".......alright, maybe you had a point"
She gets up and does the dogs hand sign
"Divine dogs"
After even the dogs can't bit through the can, she summons the toad.....then orochi... then nue....then all of her other shinigamis hoping they would do something.....nothing happened.....well she summoned everyone except for one
"Seriously? What the heck even is that thing? Are we sure it's not a cursed object"
"I dunno, that's why I asked you to open it"
"*sighs* well I still have one ace up my sleeve"
".......actually I'll let you this time, mahoraga might be needed for this"
Hearing you finally agreeing with her, megumi got into position for the ritual and started chanting
"With this treasure, I summon eight handled sword divergent silla divine general. MAHORAGA"
Megumi passed out quickly after summoning her tenth shadow, but you saw it approaching and slashing the can.....and it still wasn't broken.....
Apparently, not even mahoraga could adapt to the soda can

Season 4 episode 10 spoilers (haven't finished this season)
this is Angst Angst Angst
| 3rd Person POV |
Y/n didn't even know what day it was, she been in her and jjs bed- well I guess just her bed now. Since they got back from Morocco, her mind couldn't wrap around the fact that her boyfriend since freshman year was gone. I mean he has to come back right? She thought everyone came back, Big John, ward, John b and Sarah they all came back.
She laid there for days just thinking about everything, thinking that when JJ looked to her on that island and asked "you wanna just stay here and never leave? Surf all day, catch fish, hook up whenever sounds good to me" with a big smile across his face she brushed him off but now she'd take it all back and say "yeah Jay let's stay here forever".
"she's been in there for 4 days we have to do something" John B said "what can we do?" Kie said "something" Sarah added "I'll make her food okay?" Pope said standing up. "Hey Y/n" he said softly peeking his head in the door, She wrapped up in JJs hoodie zoning out but reruns of they're favorite shows played. She slightly looked over at him "I brought you some food" he set it on her nightstand "you need anything else?" He added she shook her head, his hand went over the handle "thanks Pope" she whispered "yeah".
It turned dark out and it dead silent in the house now, she put her shoes on and grabbed her backpack. And slipped out the window of the room. She finally got to the liquor store "two 5th of you cheapest vodka please" she said and put a leader of Coke "ID" the woman asked Y/n pulled out her fake ID and handed it to her.
Now that was her thing crying and drinking the thought of him away. The times she would get up it would be to look at something else of jjs. This time she looked out her window, John B stood in front of a tree out front JJ Maybank craved into it she took her bottle and went outside. "hey y/n" she stood next to him "hey.." he looked down to see that bottle in her hand and the smell coming off her breath "how many have you gone through?" she shrugged he took the bottle from her softly "you shouldn't be doing that its a waste" "it makes me feel okay" "does it make you forget he's dead?" her eyes opened "no but I think I should punish myself a little for leaving him there alone" "JJ would understand why we left him okay? he wouldn't want you to punish yourself you gotta stop" he wrapped his arm around her "yeah I know I just- I don't know".
Y/n thought instead of dying for herself she was gonna live for JJ. The next day they took notice that Y/n was moving around cleaning her room, they went in not saying anything just helping her. they'd find things of JJs and set it aside slowly building a corner of all his stuff for her to look at through the day.
Y/n found herself every morning on the water surf for him, swimming for him and boating for him.
| 6 Years Later |
"this was your Uncle JJs board when he was you age" Y/n said pulling the board of of the surf shed her God son standing next to her "I don't know if I can use it, it's a lot bigger than mine" "you'll do great! grab the towels bubba" he hopped in the truck while Y/n loaded they're boards.
Y/n was sat straight on her board he was laying on his board "okay Jay this one coming is yours" she helped turn his board around, he went and stood up "YES JJ!" she yelled and clapped. she rode in "good job!" she smiled and gave him a high five "thanks" he smiled back.
"Uncle JJ surf like all the time?" he asked strawberries covered his face "yeah even one time him and your dad went surfing in a hurricane it was dumb but they loved it" "sounds fun" "no JJ never do that" "I think I like the beach as much as Uncle J" she smiled and felt tears raise in her eyes "I think you do to" she ruffled his hair making him giggle.

Hello! Can I request Eddie Munson and reader with miscommunication trope and halloween theme?
I thought about how they would spend their first halloween together as a couple. Every year as friends she and Eddie used to go to some party but these year they planned date at the trailer.
Reader heard one of Eddie's band friend saying that they're disappointed about Eddie ditching them and the party on halloween because now he has a girlfriend.
She feels guilty about it and thinks that Eddie would rather go to the party.
But in reality, Eddie is super excited about their halloween date at home. He has a lot of decorations, snacks and a few movies. He also planned to cook for her.
He adores the idea of cozy evening with his loved one and not at loud party where he went to not be alone during halloween night as a single and ends watching some guys talk to her while he wasn't brave enough to confess.
With a happy end pretty please ❤️
A bit late, my bad. But I think it's cute! So I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for requesting 🫶🏻
Halloween night
Tumblr media
Y/N was excited to spend Halloween with Eddie for the first time as a couple. They usually go to Halloween parties with Eddie's friends but this year they wanted to be alone. They agreed on a movie night at the trailer, something cozy and warm.
Y/N didn't think anyone would have an issue with it, but she was wrong. As she waited for Eddie to finish collecting his things after his gig, she overheard a few of the band members talking.
"I can't believe Eddie isn't going. Like why do boys get so lame once they have a girlfriend."
"I know. I don't understand why they both can't join us, it's only been the tradition for years."
"Probably Y/N. No way Eddie would ditch the party if he had the choice."
Y/N felt her stomach turn sour. She was friends with these guys and they were talking behind her back. It seemed like Eddie loved the idea of being alone, but maybe he'd rather be at the party?
"Ready to go?" Eddie asked, throwing his arm over her shoulder.
"Yeah, let's go," Y/N said, putting on a fake smile as they walked out of the bar.
~~~
Y/N wanted to forget what her friends said, but she couldn't. She didn't want Eddie to ruin his relationship with his friends because of her. With everything weighing on her shoulders, it was easy to tell she was in distress.
Y/N showed up to his trailer, nervously knocking. Eddie opened the door with a huge smile and let her through. She stepped in and her negative mood vanished. She took in the orange and purple lights, the Halloween blankets on the couch, and the coffee table covered in snacks.
"What's all this?" she gasped in awe, turning around to see him. She smiled at the proud look on his face.
"Date night!" he smiled, "dinner is in the oven. Take off your jacket, and anything else you want," he said with a small wink, "and get comfortable on the couch. I'll bring your plate right over."
Y/N took off her jacket, throwing it over the couch. She took a seat, cuddling under the warm blanket. Eddie walked over with a plate of food and took the seat next to her.
"What? Does it look gross?" Eddie asked nervously, watching her face as she scrunched her eyebrows.
"No! It looks great, Eddie," she said, but he didn't look convinced.
"Is something else wrong?"
Y/N sighed, this was the time to talk about it. She set down her plate and bunched the blanket in her hands.
"You know how we usually go to parties with the boys?"
Eddie nodded, setting down his plate. His full attention was on her as he listened.
"Are you disappointed we didn't go?" she asked, nervously looking at his face.
"Not really. I never had much fun at those parties anyway," Eddie shrugged, "Do you want to go?"
"No! I love being alone with you," she said, moving closer to his warm body. She slipped on his lap, and he wrapped his arms around her. "I love the decorations and all the work you put into it."
"I love being alone with you too," he smiled. Kissing her cheek before he pulled away to look at her again. "So why do you ask?"
Y/N let out a deep sigh, making Eddie rub her back for comfort. "It's just I overheard our friends talking about how they were disappointed you weren't going. And I worried you might have wanted to be with them."
"You want to know a secret?" he whispered, she smiled and nodded.
"I dreaded those parties, hated every second of it, but you were there so I knew I wanted to be."
"Why did you hate it? You always seemed to be having fun with the guys."
"Yeah with the guys once I got drunk. But I spent the first few hours sitting alone and watching everyone flirt with you. Watching guys make their moves when I was too scared to say anything."
Y/N's heart warmed. She never knew Eddie watched her all those years. She was never interested in any of the guys that came up to her, her heart was set on Eddie.
"I didn't know you did that," she blushed.
"So fuck the guys. I want to be with my girl, without fighting for her attention," Eddie laughed at the end, a cheeky smile on his face.
"Never have to fight for attention," she said, pecking his lips softly.
Eddie kissed her back, her lips never failed to make his stomach flutter. He waited until she pulled away, letting her lips move off of his.
"Feel better?" he asked
"Yes, let's eat dinner and watch our movies," she smiled, sliding off his lap. She picked up her plate, smiling to herself as he turned on the movie.
You’d always been good at hiding your feelings for Tyler. After all, what choice did you have? Loving him quietly from a distance was safer than risking everything and losing him for good. You told yourself you were fine being his best friend, the one he could count on through thick and thin, the person who knew him better than anyone. But sometimes, like tonight, the weight of unspoken words felt like it might crush you.
His arm was draped over the back of the couch, and you leaned into him, trying to focus on the movie playing on the screen. The warmth of his body so close to yours should have been comforting, but it only reminded you of all the times you’d wished for more.
And then his phone buzzed. Again.
You bit your lip, refusing to look at the screen. It wasn’t your business who he was texting, no matter how much it felt like a dagger twisting in your chest. You tried to ignore the flashes of girls’ names, the way his lips quirked up in a small smile when he typed out a reply. But when the fifth buzz shattered the silence, you couldn’t help the sharp glance you shot at his phone.
“Who is that?” you asked, keeping your tone light, though the words tasted bitter in your mouth.
Tyler barely looked up. “Oh, just that brunette from Kansas. You know, the one from the bar.”
The knot in your stomach tightened. You remembered her well. The way she’d draped herself over him, batting her eyelashes and whispering in his ear, like she owned the right to his attention. And the worst part? He’d let her.
“Right,” you said, your voice tight as you turned back to the TV.
Tyler frowned, his focus shifting from his phone to you. “Hey, you okay?”
“I'm fine,” you lied, your eyes glued to the screen.
“You don’t sound fine.”
“I said I’m fine, Tyler.”
You could feel his gaze on you, sharp and searching. “Come on. Talk to me. What’s going on?”
“It’s nothing,” you said quickly, your fingers clenching the edge of the throw pillow in your lap.
He sighed, his tone turning frustrated. “Why do you always do this? I know something’s bothering you, but you won’t tell me. Why can’t you just be honest with me?”
Because if I tell you, I’ll lose you. The words screamed in your head, but you couldn’t say them. What if he didn’t feel the same? What if your confession made things awkward, and ruined the easy friendship you’d spent years building? You swallowed hard, your throat tight with unshed tears.
“Forget it, Tyler,” you said softly. “It’s not important.”
“Bull,” he shot back, his voice firm. “It’s important if it’s upsetting you. Talk to me.”
The frustration in his voice broke something in you, and before you could stop yourself, the words spilled out. “I don’t like watching you with other girls, okay? I don’t like it when you’re texting them or taking them home. It hurts, Tyler. It kills me.”
The room went silent, the only sound the hum of the TV in the background. Tyler stared at you, his eyes wide with surprise.
“You…” He hesitated, his voice quieter now. “You feel that way about me?”
You nodded, unable to meet his gaze. “I’ve been in love with you for years, Tyler. But I know it doesn’t matter."
"It does matter. I want you." He said softly.
You scoffed, rolling your eyes. "You could have anyone you want. Why would you want me?”
The vulnerability in your voice must have hit him, because he reached for you, his hand gently tilting your chin up until your eyes met his.
“What part of ‘I want you, and only you’ do you not understand?” he said, his voice low and intense.
You blinked, the words not fully sinking in. “Tyler, don’t—”
“I mean it,” he interrupted, his eyes boring into yours. “I’ve wanted you for so long, but I didn’t think you felt the same. And yeah, I’ve been an idiot talking to other people, but that’s over. I’m done with anyone else. I just want you.”
You shook your head slightly, tears spilling down your cheeks. “How can I believe that? After everything? I've seen you take I don't even know how many girls back to your hotel room.”
His hand slid from your chin to the back of your neck, his thumb brushing soothing circles against your skin.
“Then let me prove it to you,” he murmured, his voice dropping as he leaned in closer.
Before you could respond, his lips were on yours, soft but insistent, and the world fell away. It wasn’t rushed or tentative—it was a kiss full of everything he couldn’t put into words, everything he’d been holding back.
When he finally pulled back, his forehead rested against yours, and his breath was warm against your skin. “Do you believe me now?”
You nodded your voice barely a whisper. “Yeah. I believe you.”
“Good,” he said with a small smile, his hand still cradling the back of your neck. “Because I’m not letting you go.”
Tyler didn’t wait for your response. His lips found yours again, firmer this time, more insistent. The hand cradling the back of your neck tightened slightly, anchoring you to him as his other hand moved to your waist, pulling you closer.
The kiss deepened, his tongue brushing against your lips in a silent request, and when you parted them, a quiet gasp escaped you as he claimed the moment. His tongue swept into your mouth, exploring, tasting, and igniting sparks that spread through your body like wildfire.
Your hands, which had been resting awkwardly at your sides, moved on instinct. One slid up to his shoulder, gripping the soft fabric of his t-shirt, while the other tangled in the hair at the nape of his neck. The soft strands felt warm under your fingertips, and you couldn’t stop yourself from giving a gentle tug, earning a low, almost guttural sound from him that sent a shiver down your spine.
He shifted, his body pressing closer to yours as the kiss turned more heated. You felt his fingers flex against your waist, holding you firmly but not harshly. The way he touched you was deliberate like he was savoring every second, every tiny reaction you gave him.
“God,” Tyler murmured against your lips, his voice hoarse and breathless. “I’ve wanted to do this for so long.”
His confession hit you harder than you expected, making your chest tighten and your head spin. You barely had time to process it before he kissed you again, tilting his head to deepen the connection.
You melted into him, letting go of the doubts and fears that had held you back for so long. The warmth of his touch, the intensity of his kiss—it all felt so right, so natural.
Tyler’s hand slid up your side, his thumb brushing just under the edge of your ribs before it settled lightly on your cheek, guiding your face to stay perfectly aligned with his. The tenderness of the gesture contrasted with the hunger in the kiss, and it left you breathless, craving more.
When you finally broke apart, both of you were gasping for air. Tyler pressed his forehead to yours, his breath mingling with yours in the charged silence. His hands framed your face, his thumbs tracing soothing patterns along your jaw.
“I meant what I said,” he murmured, his voice a low rumble that sent a thrill through you. “I want you. Only you.”
Your heart stuttered at the sincerity in his tone, and all you could do was nod, your fingers still gripping his shirt as though letting go would break the spell.
“I don’t want this to be just a moment,” you whispered, your voice shaky but resolute. “I don’t want to go back to pretending.”
“We won’t,” Tyler promised, leaning in to press a softer, slower kiss to your lips. “No more pretending. Promise.”
Tyler’s promise hung in the air between you, heavy with meaning. You felt the truth of it in the way his hands lingered on your face, in the way his gaze bore into yours like he was trying to memorize every detail.
He kissed you again, slower this time, his lips moving against yours with a tenderness that made your chest ache. It wasn’t just passion; it was something deeper, something that made the world outside this moment fade away.
You sighed against his mouth, your body relaxing into his as you let yourself get lost in him. Tyler responded by pulling you closer, his arm wrapping around your waist as he shifted, guiding you backward until you were lying against the cushions of the couch. He leaned over you, his weight balanced carefully on one arm as his other hand caressed your cheek, his thumb brushing lightly over your skin.
His kisses trailed away from your mouth, moving to the corner of your lips, then along your jaw. Each touch of his lips sent a spark racing through you, and when he nuzzled against the curve of your neck, you couldn’t stop the soft gasp that escaped you.
“Tyler,” you whispered, your voice barely audible over the sound of your heartbeat pounding in your ears.
He hummed in response, the low, rough sound vibrating against your skin as his lips found the spot just below your ear.
“I love the way you say my name,” he murmured, his breath warm and tantalizing against your neck.
You bit your lip, your hands sliding from his shoulders to his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath your palm. It grounded you, reminding you that this was real—that this wasn’t some fleeting dream you’d wake up from.
Tyler pulled back slightly, his eyes searching yours, his expression softer now, almost hesitant.
“I need you to tell me something,” he said, his voice quiet but firm.
You nodded, your fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt as you held his gaze. “Anything.”
“Do you trust me?” he asked, his brow furrowed as though the answer truly mattered more than anything else.
The question caught you off guard, but the answer came easily. “Of course I do.”
“Then trust me when I say this,” Tyler continued his voice steady but laced with an intensity that sent shivers down your spine. “I’m not going anywhere. This doesn't ruin our friendship. You’re not just some option to me. You never were.”
His words hit you like a tidal wave, and tears pricked at the corners of your eyes before you could stop them. You’d spent so long doubting, second-guessing, convincing yourself that this connection between you was one-sided. But now, hearing him say it, seeing the conviction in his eyes—it was overwhelming.
“Tyler...” Your voice broke, and you swallowed hard, trying to keep your emotions in check.
He smiled softly, his thumb brushing away the tear that slipped down your cheek. “No more doubting, okay? No more wondering if you’re enough. You’ve always been enough. For me, you’re everything.”
Your breath hitched, and before you could say anything else, Tyler leaned in, capturing your lips in another kiss. This one was slow and deliberate, as if he was trying to prove his words with every movement, every gentle caress.
The heat between you began to build again, his kisses growing more fervent as his hand slid down your side, resting just above your hip. You felt his fingers curl slightly, holding you with a mix of reverence and restraint.
The sound of the rain tapping against the window faded into the background as the world narrowed to just the two of you. Nothing else mattered—not the doubts, not the fears, not the years you’d spent hiding how you felt.
In this moment, it was just you and Tyler.
And for the first time, it felt like you were exactly where you were meant to be.
“Everything’s fine, Danny just wanted to join us for lunch,” Tim declared when he entered the dining room with Danny. It wasn’t the complete truth, but it was still better than telling them they had left Danny without enough water and he had collapsed trying to get it himself.
“Oh! You’re finally ready for something other than toast, huh?” Stephanie asked as everyone’s mood seemed to lift with that declaration.
“Y’yeah… It’d be nice to get back to eating anything I wanted,” Danny agreed, going along with the reason Tim had provided as Tim helped him get situated in an open chair next to Danielle, who gave him a thumbs up. Seeing, and smelling the food the others had made him realize he actually was a little hungry as well as thirsty.
“You’ll love Alfred’s cooking, trust me,” Tucker chimed in around his own lunch. It looked like they had some sort of creamy soup and small sandwiches.
“Pretty sure that’s what I’ve been having already,” Danny snickered.
“Yeah, but this is actual food,” Tucker corrected.
“Just don’t push yourself,” Jazz cautioned, not wanting Danny to make himself sick even though he hadn’t had any issues lately. It was a comment that helped Tim understand a little more why Danny was so bad at asking for help.
As soon as Danny had been brought to the table Alfred had left the dining room to fetch lunch for him as well, soon to return with another tray of food. Unlike the others though, the bowl was full of a mild tomato soup that was pleasantly warm. And that and a small plate of two slices of lightly buttered toast were placed in front of Danny along with a glass of water. It was a welcome change from the broth he’d been getting, and Danny couldn’t help smiling.
“Thank you,” Danny was sure to bid, looking up gratefully at Alfred.
“You’re welcome, Young Master,” Alfred responded, pleased to see their house charge feeling well enough to join them at the table.
“He still looks a bit like death warmed over,” Jason commented casually before putting a spoonful of soup in his mouth.
“That’s rich coming from the dead man walking,” Danielle returned just as easily.
“Morticians wish they could match my liveliness,” Jason retorted, raising a hand to frame his face for a moment.
“Guys, could we not do the dead jokes? You’re gonna make people hole up,” Stephanie chided, noting how others at the table were grimacing or otherwise looking rather sullen.
“Oh come on. You have three dead people at the table. It’s not that insensitive,” Danielle protested.
“Dani, I dont think it's a comfortable topic for everyone,” Jazz hushed, glancing towards Bruce, who’s expression was looking significantly distant.
Danny hadn’t commented in favor of blowing on the tomato soup enough that he could eat it, and then was distracted by the surprisingly gentle yet rich flavor from the simple food. It definitely made the trip to the dining room worth it, though Danielle’s comment made him end up looking around at the others in mild confusion. She obviously meant him and herself for two of the people, but who was the third? He realized it was rude after he was caught, but he couldn’t help looking towards the girl with ashen skin and black hair. Wait… who was that again?
“No, it’s not Raven. It’s me,” Jason snickered slightly, pointing to himself and grinning slightly.
“....You don’t look dead,” Danny admitted, subconsciously comparing Jason to the other ghosts he’d had to deal with over the years.
“Not anymore,” Jason clarified, sparing the others at the table, and inevitably himself, the trauma trip by keeping the explanation simple.
“He died before though. That’s why he has that weird vibe not like anyone else,” Danielle added, sounding rather proud for knowing that now. “Figured that one out finally.”
“Hn,” Danny hummed around some toast, figuring if he got the option to ask about more details he’d have to do it with a smaller crowd.
“It's good to see you up and about now though kid. How are you feeling?” someone with red hair that Danny also didn’t recognize decided to change the subject to.
“.... Okay,” Danny answered, squinting slightly trying to remember who this person was also. “Better than a few days ago at least.”
“Good, good.”
“This is Wally, and Raven,” Dick spoke up after noticing Danny getting increasingly confused trying to place names to the new faces. “They both were a big help with your recovery, and we figured since you were starting to feel better we could start trying to figure out how to get you guys back home. Both of them are familiar with interdimensional travel, and Wally is pretty knowledgeable about the mechanical side of things while Raven is more versed in the mystical.”
“Oh. Are you guys going to build another portal? I guess that makes sense,” Danny acknowledged, now understanding who the new faces were.
“Well, that depends,” Wally admitted, grimacing a little. “From the sounds of it, with talking to Raven and some others, it doesn’t sound like even attempting to open a portal to the Liminal Realm is a good idea.”
“She mentioned before that attempts usually end up with some sort of explosion or implosion,” Jazz recalled.
“But she was able to do it just fine, wasn’t she? That’s how she got the ectoplasm,” Tucker pointed out.
“That was only because Dani and you two were present. And because I closed the gateway before it could react,” Raven clarified, and Danny noticed her hand seemed to have a residual injury that made him frown. “The gateway was also only one way. I was able to accept the gift it was giving to Dani, but if I’d tried to send anything through it in return I’m sure it would have broken down.”
“And based on the research Barry and I did, there isn’t much for anyone in this dimension to go off of when it comes to the Liminal Realm. It’s only really known as the most fussy realm to deal with, and most people don’t bother,” Wally concluded, only a little upset about the matter. “Which is why we wanted to ask you about how your parents were able to make a portal that’s permanently open. Everyone else said you’d know the most about that topic.”
Danny inevitably grimaced a little at that fact, not feeling like he knew much about how his parents had made the portal to the Infinite Realm either. But if it would help them get back to his parents, then he could at least try to help. “They’re not the greatest at documenting their work, but I guess I did get curious enough to look into it a little some time ago. What do you want to know?”
“Do you have any idea how the portal was constructed?” Wally prompted.
“Trial and error?” Danny grimaced again, and backtracked when Wally looked unimpressed. “Look, my parents took notes, sure, but they weren’t organized and I’m not completely sure which ones were part of the final product. I won't be able to tell you exactly how to build one.”
“That’s fine, I wasn’t expecting you to have a blueprint memorized,” Wally chuckled, not sure if Danny was being vague on purpose, or just hadn’t worked with anyone before on constructing anything. “You can just tell us what you remember, and we can try to fill in the blanks and figure out if it’s a viable option. Jazz said it was a structure on the wall in your home basement?”
“Mm,” Danny nodded around a mouthful of soup. “It looks flat when it’s on, but it’s actually a tunnel about… maybe the length of this table?” he guessed, squinting slightly as he tried to remember. “I think they changed the size of it several times, the first prototype was only about this size,” he added, gesturing to a tabletop model size in front of him. “It’s about… 2 meters in diameter? The measurement isn’t exact- is this what you want to know?”
Both Wally and Raven were listening intently to Danny’s descriptions, and Wally blinked when Danny interrupted himself to clarify again if he was saying anything useful. “Yeah, it’s great. Anything you know about it will help, even if you think it’s not important.”
“Would it help if we tried to recreate what they can remember in a 3D space?” Tim spoke up suddenly, noting how Danny seemed to be struggling in explaining in words something he’d only dealt with in physical space.
“We can do that? I’m not exactly… a sculptor or whatever,” Danny asked, fumbling over his thoughts and words as he was once again starting to feel incredibly dumb.
“We’ll have to go to the basement, but the computer down there should allow you to draw a hologram of sorts based on what you remember. That way we can see what you’re thinking, more or less,” Tim explained, then inevitably glanced over Danny’s form briefly. “If you’re up for it of course. We don’t want to push-”
“No. It’s fine, I’ll do it,” Danny agreed quickly, not sure how to accept Danielle trying to reassure him by placing a hand on his arm for a moment. She knew her brother tended to get flustered in anything that resembled an academic setting, but wasn’t sure how to convince him he wasn’t as dumb as his school told him he was.
“Cool. We can head down there after lunch,” Tim nodded, returning to his own meal.
Yeah I'll admit this drawing was 100% self indulgent 'cause I remember seeing a similar drawing of a different chara before and just loving it XD I love when charas get drawn doing really subtle but oh so casually human things.
Anyway, tomato soup with bread is my favorite food ever, so I tend to default to that when charas get some notably "good food" or comfort food for once.
fast update because this is part of that bug chunk I had to split into 3 parts XD just had to get a drawing
I also think, at least drawing from my own teenage years and childhood, that there's a certain amount of "but it can't be the terrible thing we've been warned about, can it?" There's a huge difference between knowing that something terrible could happen and accepting it happened to someone you love, even for adults. I was 23 when I found out my best friend's ex-boyfriend was abusive, and I still had that panicked moment of "No. Please, not you." when I found out, but I had the advantage of being an adult with adult resources and the ability to do something, even if it was just listening to her on the phone when she was dealing with the mess of disentangling her life from his. When I was fifteen, sixteen, seeing signs of bad things happening to friends of mine? I had no power to do anything other than telling a teacher and praying that my friend wouldn't stop talking to me in case the adults didn't do anything. In the back of my mind, there was always the fear that I wouldn't be believed, or that a situation would be looked into and it would turn out that things were actually perfectly innocent. So, take that regular teenage fear, that desperation for the bad thing to not be true, and add in everything we know about how agents have no trust of authority, have a very understandable desire to be seen as more mature than they are, but with the knowledge that they have just as few, if not in some cases fewer avenues for help as other children, and it's very easy to see why Lucy and Lockwood wouldn't have seen what was going on until it smacked them in the face.
I posted this before and i’ll do it again.
George and Pamela were pedophilic and that was glossed over so fast😭.
My boy was getting groomed and everyone was like “ohhh George, u two are so cute”.
“It was- not love at first sight, but familiarity. Like, oh, it’s you.” With Klaus or Elijah please! Something to make me feel better while I do this awful assignment 🥲
deep breaths | elijah mikaelson
pairing: elijah mikaelson x reader (no y/n!)
warnings: noneeee this is just sweet
author’s note: i wrote this at work on my phone just now so sorry if it’s not the best <3
The thing is, Elijah Mikaelson has lived many, many lives. He has had so many names, faces, stories, and voices he can hardly remember them all at this point. That, he supposes, is just part of the curse of immortality. Esther likely didn’t think that far ahead out of her grief when she turned them all into monsters. She didn’t think to consider that she wasn’t saving herself anymore loss, she was cursing her children, leading them to damnation and then blaming them for what she did.
Elijah would likely live another thousand years before he was able to fully comprehend all of the tangled, contradictory emotions that came with vampirism. A gift and a curse, like most things.
What he could for certain say was that he’s loved just as much as he’s hated. He would even argue that you can’t possibly know what it means to hate someone unless you loved them before, unless you still loved them. And although he believed that, he was not someone to give second chances often. At least not to anyone besides his siblings— though that was a different beast altogether.
Elijah knew that even if he hated someone, someone else could love that person just as much. He’d seen it often enough, felt betrayal in his gut like a stake to the heart.
Love, in all of its glory, was not often kind to Elijah.
So whenever his siblings found it necessary to tease him for being so uptight and closed off, he did nothing more than roll his eyes, because it was much easier than telling them that he was scared. Truly, deeply, in his ancient bones, he was scared. Not of love itself, but of the continuously growing sense that he would never truly find real love. And perhaps it was entirely too human of him to think that way, and perhaps it made him weak to some, but Elijah knows that his brothers and sisters more than anyone crave love just as much as he does. He knows they feel it just as deeply as he does, that want in their bones that rushed through their blood, the want for someone to just come in and never leave.
It’s hard to find that when you outlive most people. Harder than one might think, even if you fall in love with an immortal being. It’s not just that he’ll outlive most everyone he could fall in love with, either. It’s that every time it seems he’s done it, he’s fallen in love even knowing it won’t last but letting it happen anyway, it doesn’t— it doesn’t fill that void inside of him.
It doesn’t flood his mind and his body, it doesn’t fill him with life, it doesn’t make him want to breathe.
Elijah doesn’t have to breathe, but he wants someone to make him feel like he has to.
For the past thousand years he’s fought and won and lost, and he’s done his best to keep his family alive despite everything they do to drive him insane, despite the fact that they try to kill each other more than anyone else. He has been holding his breath for a thousand years, fighting and fighting and fighting. He wants to exhale.
He can’t explain this to his siblings. They would understand, he knows, but it’s something he’s never said out loud to himself let alone anyone else. Saying it out loud makes it real, and he can’t— he can’t admit it. When you are drowning, when you are holding your breath, you don’t realize you’re drowning for a long time. And the moment that you do, you realize that you can’t breathe and suddenly you’re gasping for air and you’ve all but killed yourself.
Elijah can’t admit that he’s drowning.
He sighs loudly, and it’s not an exhale and it doesn’t lift that weight off of his shoulders. It’s an expression of his annoyance with his siblings, because this far into their collective immortality, all they live for is getting on each other’s nerves.
And here at Rousseau’s is the last place he wants to entertain their petulance. You never know who could be listening, and Elijah really doesn’t want anyone less than favorable to hear about his love life, or lack thereof.
“I wish you’d just bring someone home to meet us at least once!”
“I wish I could go out and have a drink without being harassed by you people,” Elijah says moodily.
Rebekah pushes her bottom lip out in a pout and widens her eyes in a way that has always gotten her anything she wants from anyone ever. Elijah is, in fact, very aware that he and his brothers have worked overtime in making her as ridiculously spoiled and entitled as she is and yet he still manages to be surprised when she behaves like this.
“We aren’t harassing you, Elijah, we want you to be happy. Is that so wrong?”
He sighs again and closes his eyes for a moment before opening them again and fixing them on Rebekah and Klaus. “It’s not wrong. But I don’t know what you expect me to do about my lack of prospects, it’s not like the perfect person can be conjured at whim.”
Klaus lifts a finger and Elijah knows that he’s going to say something ridiculous before he even speaks. The gleam in his eye never bodes well for anyone. “I bet we could find a witch to do just that. We could compile all of your wants and desires in a partner and get a witch to mix it all together for you. Problem solved, Elijah has a soulmate!”
Elijah gives his brother a deadpan look. “Is this witch Victor Frankenstein?”
Rebekah snorts in amusement, and Elijah dutifully ignores it.
“Be creative, Elijah! Open your mind,” Klaus swipes an arm out dramatically, sloshing his drink over the side of his glass, splashing a few drops of bourbon onto Elijah’s suit jacket.
Elijah’s lip curls in distaste and he gives his brother a look of disdain that goes ignored.
“I have an open mind, what I don’t have is an open schedule,”
“You are not as busy as you like to believe,” Rebekah drawls out, finishing off her own drink. “Your life will never change if you don’t go out and do something different! You’ll be stagnant forever, and I do mean forever, brother,”
“I will never be stagnant with your dramatics, Rebekah,”
She rolls her eyes at his avoidant response. “Your love life is stagnant. I don’t even think stagnant is the proper word, it is downright nonexistent. It is extinct.”
“Thank you, Rebekah,”
“Even if you have a sleazy, completely forgettable one night stand, you need to do something. You’re constantly dealing with us, you need to focus on yourself!”
Elijah pours the rest of his bourbon down his throat, barely tasting it as he swallows. “Maybe if you did less idiotic things that I have to deal with I’d have a more active love life. And truly, I’m not sure why I’m being lectured when you two are the furthest thing from romantically successful.”
“I have a child, I’m plenty romantically successful!”
“She was conceived during a drunken one night stand with a werewolf who is now married to someone else.”
“The details don’t matter, I have a child to show for it. I have a father’s wisdom now, you should listen to me!”
Elijah raises an eyebrow. “Unfortunately, I am not part dog and therefore am actually incapable of reproducing much like you thought you were. And considering the trials and tribulations we went through with Hope, I can’t imagine I’d have any better luck in my own venture to fatherhood.”
“You’re being purposefully obtuse,”
“That doesn’t sound like me,” Elijah simpers, gesturing to the bartender for another round for them.
“I have a challenge,” Rebekah cuts in before Klaus can continue their bickering, and Elijah narrows his eyes at the determined gleam in her eyes.
“I don’t like this,”
Rebekah dismisses him with a flutter of her fingers. “The next person to walk through that door, I want you to go and talk to them. You don’t have to have a one night stand, you absolute prude, but you need to speak to someone that you’re not related to, and that isn’t trying to kill you.”
“Rebekah—”
“I don’t want to hear it. Just do this one thing for me, for your darling little sister,”
“My darling little sister—”
“Shut up, look! Someone’s walking inside, get ready to go be your charming self,”
Elijah groans and turns to look at the door as it opens and someone walks through. He sighs again, weighted, empty, scared.
When he lifts his gaze, though, he finds a woman. He takes her in— eyes, nose, lips, hair— and thinks beautiful.
The bar is as crowded as ever, no breaks in sight for the bartenders and waiters, and he’s tucked away at a table with Klaus and Rebekah in the back corner because they are particularly antisocial and Klaus really just wanted to use this outing as a way to remind everyone that they are still here, and that New Orleans is still theirs. The exit is across the room, Elijah has not paid much attention to the distance at all, and yet now.
Now, the crowd of people in between him and the door is frozen and endless. Elijah’s standing before he realizes, and it feels like he’s stepping around the people frozen mid-laugh, mid-drink, mid-bite, because the world has stopped just long enough for him to cross the room.
He parts the crowd and stops before her, eyes roaming over her face. Committing it to memory and vowing to keep it there for the rest of his eternal years.
She looks at him with a smile, blinking at him slowly like she’s got all the time in the world. There’s a necklace sitting on her chest that has a familiar blue stone hanging off of it and he inhales sharply.
He thinks vampire, perhaps a coincidence but things rarely are for him and it’s something new to think that she is immortal, too, of course more fragile than an Original but if she’s smart, and he knows that she is, he can feel it, then she’ll last just as long.
“Hi,” She speaks first, and the world starts up again, the noise comes back and people unfreeze. Now that he’s stood here before her, the world can keep spinning, but it had to wait— it just had to wait for him to catch up.
“Hello,” He responds quietly, too quiet for the bar, but she hears it anyway. “I’m Elijah.”
Her smile widens and she says, “I think I knew that already,” and then she tells him her name and Elijah repeats it for himself, and then for her, and then he turns it over in his head a hundred times over so it never gets lost.
She tilts her head slightly, looking up at him. “Were you trying to leave? Am I in your way?”
“No,” He responds quickly, almost rushed. “Not unless you’re leaving, too.”
She seems pleased at his response and the longer he looks in her eyes, he thinks he’s found a new favorite color.
“I’m not leaving,”
Elijah exhales, and the weight is gone, and the void is no more. And he thinks— oh.
There you are.
7-“You’re not a burden. You’re my world.”
y/n sat curled up on the couch, staring at the TV without actually watching it. Her chest felt heavy, as though someone had wrapped a chain around her ribs and tightened it with each passing minute. It wasn’t a new feeling, but lately, it had been getting worse.
Work, family, friends, expectations—it was all too much. Yet, she kept it all inside. Sje had to. After all, who wanted to deal with someone else’s problems?
Oscar’s voice broke the silence. “Love? You okay?”
She blinked and turned to him, startled. He had just finished dinner and was drying his hands with a towel, his soft gaze fixed on her.
“I’m fine,” she replied quickly, her voice a touch too sharp.
Oscar frowned, but didn’t push. “Alright,” he said softly, setting the towel down. He came over to sit beside her, his knee brushing against hers.
She felt her throat tighten. Why did he have to be so kind? So attentive? It made it harder to keep it together.
For a while, neither of them spoke. The only sounds were the faint hum of the TV and the clock ticking on the wall. Her mind raced, every worry, every insecurity bubbling up to the surface. She wanted to tell him—God, she wanted to tell him. But the words wouldn’t come.
Suddenly, Oscar’s hand slid into hers, his thumb tracing circles on her skin. “I can feel you pulling away,” he murmured. “Talk to me. Please.”
The dam broke.
y/n's face crumpled as tears spilled down her cheeks. She tried to hide it, to turn away, but Oscar was faster. He cupped her face in his hands, forcing her to look at him.
“I’m sorry,” she choked out, sobbing. “I’m sorry, I just—I don’t want to bother you. I don’t want to be a burden.”
Oscar’s heart visibly broke at her words. “A burden?” His voice was soft but firm. “You’re not a burden. You’re my world. Don’t ever say that again.”
She shook her head, trying to pull away, but he held her close. “You don’t understand. I—I can’t do this anymore. Everything feels like too much, and I don’t know how to talk about it without feeling like I’m dumping it all on you.”
His thumb wiped away her tears as he pulled her into his chest, wrapping his arms around her tightly. “You don’t have to hide anything from me,” he whispered against her hair. “I want to know every part of you. The good, the bad, all of it.”
She clung to him, her hands gripping his shirt as the sobs wracked her body. “I’m so tired, Oscar,” she admitted. “I’m trying, but it’s just so hard.”
He kissed the top of her head, then het temple, then her cheek. “You don’t have to do it alone. Let me help you carry it. Please.”
They stayed like that for what felt like hours, his hands soothingly rubbing her back as she cried into his chest. When her sobs subsided, Oscar pulled back just enough to look at her, his brown eyes filled with love and concern.
“You’ve been keeping this in for so long,” he said gently. “No wonder you feel like this.” He pressed a kiss to her forehead. “But you don’t have to keep it all bottled up. I’m here, okay? Always.”
y/n nodded, her voice barely above a whisper. “I’m scared.”
“I know,” he said, cupping her face again. “But you’re not alone. And you never have to be scared to talk to me. I’ll never get tired of listening to you.”
She felt a flicker of relief amidst the storm of her emotions. He didn’t just see her; he understood her.
Oscar smiled softly, brushing a strand of hair out of her face. “And for the record, I think you’re amazing. The way you handle so much on your own—it’s incredible. But you don’t have to be so strong all the time.”
y/n let out a shaky laugh. “I don't deserve you”
He grinned. “I think it’s the other way around.”
He kissed her again, this time on her lips, slow and tender. Then he wrapped her in his arms once more, pulling her onto his lap like she was the most precious thing in the world. Because she was.
As the night wore on, the weight on her chest lightened, little by little. She talked, pouring out every worry, every thought she'd kept hidden. And Oscar listened, holding her close, his whispered reassurances and soft kisses reminding her that it was okay to fall apart—because he’d always be there to catch her.
