After they woke, Jacob would tell her stories. About the beasts he fought and the crew he fought with. She’d interrupt every so often to ask about whether the book was right or not and he answer.

However throughout it all, she heard the many different voices of the sea creatures and of Lashrona interjecting as well.

Hearing, ‘The larger one must be talking about Yuhbli and her brood’ or ‘Don’t be fooled, Sale only fought them so his mate could get away’ was a little jarring but Maisie could deal with it.

She still remembers voices from her memories, one is a woman’s voice of “Don’t forget Maisie, there’s always two sides of the story.” And another, a man’s, “My child, one day the land and sea will regain their harmony, I just wonder if it you will be at the center.”

Sometimes it made her upset that she couldn’t recall their faces very well but she’d always console herself with the fact that she’d always have their voices. From those two sentences to some pieces of song and stories.

But… if the beasts had met with the Monarch then…. Maybe…..

So she waited until Jacob fell asleep.

’Lashrona, I’d… I’d like to ask about some things.’ Maisie spoke, her voice coming out in weirdly.

’Speak freely, Meskeet.’

’Do you know why I can understand you?’

’The bloodline of your hatchers, little one.’ Her hatchers…. Her parents? Maisie wanted to ask what that meant but Lashrona continued, ‘you are of the body that governs us, that allows us to move freely and explore the world. That is the bloodline you carry.’

’Did you ever meet ’em?’ She asked and when the bluster agreed, ‘Will you tell me about ‘em?’

‘Do you not remember your hatchers?’

‘I don’t remember much of ‘em really.’ Maisie explained, ‘I was young when I lost ‘em but theys all told me they were lancers.’

‘Lancers…. The ones with throwable claws?’ Lashrona replied. ‘No, Melody Brumble was what you all called a “Captain” and Pierre whose bloodline grants you our speech, would ask us for our horns.’

‘Ask for your horn?’

’In some cases yes. A lot of us have pieces that regrow after they’ve been broken or cut. So we made trades.’

‘Wait, what do you regrow?’ Maisie asked and Lashrona ended up talking about her parents until she fell asleep, dreaming of a man and woman holding her as they shared tales with a beast.

And the sighting of the little merman continued throughout the world, as media caught wind breeze of little white-haired mer baby playing with dolphins passing by a Cruise ship.

Arguments had started over the lone mer baby across the continents, between capturing and captivity the merbaby, letting the merbaby be, or protecting the merbaby from poachers and collectors that was suggested by PETA.

Aquaman has already discussed on behalf of the Sea and Justice League that it was best for the merbaby to be left alone for it is last of its kind to appear in thousands of years in Altanta after the Momma whale crashed sixth would be poachers and endangered species ships.

Pictures, description, and documentary began of the last merbaby journey. A new video was sent live every few weeks as sea creature biologists team and their swimmers who trail behind momma whale and her calves.

One massive mer with white hair that resemble a great whale shark or what could've been a megalodon swam slowly watching the others who there was female sea horse like mer with black hair and purple and green like patterns trail behind along side a silky like dark skinned shark mer with Egyptian like pattern and old gold relic tied in his hair, massive large orange haired humaniod jellyfish like mer the size of a sperms whale swam, as Phantom was hugging, swimming around excitedly and trilling bubbles onto a tiny little new merbaby with white hair with similar patterns as him except with a red scarf like tied to her little wrist.

I think one of the most tragic things is Caryn Pines and motherhood.

Like when we see her, it's quite obvious that she loves her sons. And that like many families, has a soft spot for Stanley. Because he's the possible baby of the family, her little surprise, her free spirit. Out of everyone other than Ford, Caryn was someone who loved Stanley. And who was in his corner. An example of this was when her husband and Ford were excited about the school and she immediately cut in to ask-

"What about Stanley?"

Just from that little bit we can see that she loves him. That she's always thinking of her son. So imagine you're her, and then you lose your son because your husband kicked him out. A teenager who can't face the world yet, and yet you're powerless to do anything. So you have to wait for your boy to reach out to you, and every day you wonder if he's somewhere safe. If he's someplace warm, and if he's eating a hot meal and sleeping in a warm bed. And for awhile that gives you some sort of comfort, because your baby's still out there somewhere. Not with you, but still in this world.

And then you hear about it.

The firey car crash.

And the person in that inferno was your son. Your free spirit, your baby.

Can you imagine, how devastating that'd be? To learn that your son is dead, and had died alone and in pain and fear. And the kicker?

There wasn't even a funeral held for him.

It's almost as if Stanley never existed. Like he was never important. And that probably ate at Caryn Pines in ways that cut deeply. Because Stanley was important to her, was important to Stanford and now he's gone and she didn't even get to say goodbye to her boy. She'll forever have a hole in her heart, a piece missing because her Stanley is gone. And she'll never be able to fill it because no one can replace her baby. And we don't know if Caryn's still alive or not, so there's the horrifying possibility. That she died believing that Stan was dead. That she died in her grief that only a mother can feel. That she died, unaware that the boy she grieved for was next to her the entire time. Forced to pretend to be his brother, in order to save him from his own creation and fix mistakes that he believes he made that hurt Ford.

So close to her son, yet so far away.

According to NBC here in the US, the missing titanic sub has been found. As debris. Off the bow of the Titanic wreckage.

And it looks like the sub suffered what we all suspected, and what was undoubtedly the more merciful of the two options: a catastrophic implosion from the pressure.

Also, more info has come to light about the fishing trawler with the hundreds of migrants that sank cataclysmically off the coast of Greece, indicating that the greek coast guard knew about the vessel AND how much trouble the vessel was in, and were towing it at a speed that made it capsize, at which point they unhooked the tow line and watched the trawler sink without helping the passengers to safety. Despite a bunch of other ships trying to help as well throughout the whole ordeal.

So a lot of people are dead, all because of regulations (and the lack thereof) regarding sea-faring vessels and rescue protocols. People shouldnt be allowed to make a business charging a ton of money for a ride on an uncertified, unsafe, un-seaworthy ship going deep into the ocean with no distress beacon or tether to the mothership. People also shouldnt be allowed to enact laws that criminalize the ferrying of refugees, which then force the refugees to hitch rides on fishing trawlers, and which also prevent people from helping those fishing trawlers full of refugees due to fear of legal consequences.

Hopefully BOTH of these events spark changes on an international scale in terms of what is legally allowed to be sailed, who is legally allowed to be the passengers, and what the rescue protocols are in the event of disaster for any seafaring vessel, illegal or not. It shouldnt be just the global 1% who get 24/7 search parties and remote-operated submersibles helping rescue them.
