How did you meet her? Aren’t you guys together?

Yeah, we met in college through mutual friends. But sadly, we’re not together anymore. Looking back, I realize how young and naive I was, stumbling through mistakes that left marks I can’t undo. I thought I could hide the sad, broken parts of myself, bury them deep where she’d never see, never feel them. I wanted to protect her from the weight of my own darkness. But pain has a way of creeping in, bit by bit, slipping through the cracks until it became impossible to hide. And when it finally surfaced, it drove her away, piece by piece, until she was gone—leaving me with nothing but the memories and an endless longing for her.

But even with all my flaws, what I felt for her was real—achingly, desperately real. I loved her with everything I had. In the end, it just wasn’t enough.
