So on the RP blog I just ported her over from an AU I wrote once and didn't really think about the logistics but I did sort of imply that Jack had Tequila both before and after being mutinied and getting hit with a cannon ball and all that so now I am imagining her hovering somewhere just off screen for all of episode 8 and when Jack wakes up in the dinghy she's sitting there demolishing a fish she caught.

i feel like. theres designing a character with certain themes and motifs in mind, and then theres making a gijinka for the water bottle on my nightstand

#me when im the only person on the bus wearing a mask: i should make a furry plaguesona #its hard to explain bc. most of the time i try NOT to give my characters a 'strong' theme like making their whole design around #one thing like apples or even broad stuff like baking or cottagecore.. idk if its partly for flexibility or because i cant imagine them #making it their whole personality. not bc i find it cringe or overblown but more like ive learned to associate design with character depth #i had a cutesy uwu persona for most of highschool because i thought it would make me more. likeable? easy to remember? since #memorable character designs are easy to recognize. and one way of doing that is simplifying it with a theme or symbol so you form an #association. but since im a real person its exhausting keeping up that appearance all the time and denying myself things when they dont #fit my 'aesthetic' or 'theme.' i think ive grown past that bc i just collect stuff because i think it looks cool and dont let myself dwell #on how it might 'fit' with my image. but i cant help feeling bad doing it to my own characters bc it feels like im making them too one #dimensional. despite knowing that theyre not real and design alone doesnt reflect depth i cant help feeling like its wrong #despite that i love seeing motifs because it feels like it reflects the characters soul and paradoxically gives them depth. it makes them #interesting to look at too and honestly its pretty fun combining things that fall under a similar category when designing #i struggle find a balance between those two things #actually this reminds me of noelles christmas theme.. i dont remember her saying anything abt liking christmas despite a lot of #her design and character tying back to it. it makes me wonder if she would have feelings about that or doesnt think abt it too hard #or if its like a matching family shirts situation and shes just going along with it??#maybe i should just do whatever i want with my character designs since theyre not real and im thinking abt it too hard #although. this probably has something to do with deep seated identity issues huh #yapping #oc talk #oc

I haven’t even read the epilogue yet, but apparently the last few chapters of Ascendance of a Bookworm Part 4 Volume 3 was written solely to make me ugly cry for an hour. (Spoilers ahead)

That goodbye was brutal. I cannot. I am so upset about this. I was upset waaaay back in the beginning for being denied my rightful Gunther and Myne father and daughter ADORABLENESS! When she unthinkingly reached out to him after the Hasse execution and he gave her his coat? I was a puddle of tears y’all 😭 😭

And now? This last tie being severed and those two years being lost is just too cruel. I’m sure later I’ll squeal over how cute it was for Ferdinand to praise her like that (b/c omg it was SO cute!), but right now all I can think about is how tragic and sad it must have been for him. How unexpectedly happy he must have been to receive such praise, that would only come once a year. How utterly alone he must have felt sometimes…

Right so I’m back to crying. This book is more than kicking me in the feelings. I got hit with a 20 hit combo and am down for the count.

My family has such a special ability to stress me out so bad

#my mom had a minor foot surgery a weekish ago #shes fine but she cant drive herself #she asked me to take her to wallgreens #ok. my sister came for some reason. why ?? just to annoy me #my mom had to critique my driving #my sister is asking for coffee all covert like so as to not ask in front of me but is still obviously asking in front of me #they are talking so much its getting on my nerves. i said im gonna sit in the car for a minute before i go inside #my dad came out???#bc i texted him earlier that i wanted to watch dw #so he told me he's ready to watch it whenever i am #ok. why didnt he just text me #i opened the car door to talk to him #the fricking alarm went off #and i dropped the key under the seat #when i put the key in he was like you could've just turned it on you didn't need to start it #ok!!!!!!!!!#i want to scream!!!!!!!!!#and nothing even that bad happened!!!!!!!!#im still sitting in car . 🙂

I hate driving. I hate the car. I hate losing everything in the car. wallet, important keys, anything that matters I will apparently lose it in the car. it makes me want to tear my hair out

and there are ALWAYS a million little terrible cracks and crevices to convince myself things could have fallen into while I was busy paying vital attention to the road. no security except compartments that turn invisible when you close them so I will also forget they exist

Anyone else feel bad for teachers (specifically female teachers) that get made fun of behind their back by students because no reason other than just to make fun of her??

#literally happened in art 2 day #teacher was so mad at the class because like- they would always makes fun of her and not listen so she finally snapped #and the kids in my class APPARENTLY didn’t like that she stood up for herself #so she told the class that everyone will be swapped seats and everyone will be forever quiet for the last week of school #but people didn’t listen and kept mumbling under their breath #about anger issues and how “is she on her period? au where narec and ventress both survived and returned to the temple to help when the war broke out, thus creating the galaxy's most vicious rivalry-slash-partnership between Asajj and Anakin. just bringing an absolute "it's rotten work, especially to me, especially if it's you, I'll do it but fuck do I wish I didn't have to" vibe every time they have to cover each other's backs, and gloating when the other gets in trouble with the council, but never dreaming of letting anything actually bad happen to the other because that would make Obi-wan, their mutual bestie, sad :(

#i know 'obsession' isn't a canon work any more but obi-wan directly compares the two of them and imo he's right #they're similar at the core but express that deep seated rage very differently #i think canon ventress has had to learn to rely on no one & take care of herself and thus has the personality of a cornered animal #whereas Anakin has been surrounded by others caring for him but depending on him way too strongly so he's more of an explosive #anakin gets in trouble for taking wild risks and relying on luck. ventress has never trusted luck so she just starts blasting.#obi-wan has a migraine from dealing with them both while under pressure but they're the only ones interested in matching his wit #and he does care for them both dearly so he has accepted that he is permanently holding their shared brain cell while they menace people #star wars

#I’m reading volumes 14-16 of the ouran manga OOUGHHH MY HEART #I love this weird little friend group so much its unreal #like u have this charming sweeps you off your feet prince but he’s actually a huge lovable idiot with a kind heart and his friends #who are all misfits that he reached out to and drew in because of his kindness and own weirdness like that shits TIGHT BRO #and the trauma part where he has some deep seated issues with love bc he thinks that itll break a family apart like with his mom #how his family isnt allowed to be together because his mom and dad fell in love and how he says he wants to build a big house #so that way one day everyone will get along as a family like. all he wants is not to lose everyone and the only way to do that is #by maintaining a certain order.. he both wants a complete family so bad and doesnt want anything to sour between anyone #so he assigns each of his friends a family role based on how he sees them and YEAH its mostly played for giggles and tamakis #already weird so its his way of showing theyre close to him but. god damn this boy has LAYERS #it also feels kinda meta towards how found family tends to get thrown around to assign characters as 'siblings' or family roles instead of #using it to describe characters who are close enough to be each others family. cuz tamakis doing that EXACT THING in a way tht #ties in with his character and i have to say its fascinating using that within the story itself and its completely plausible #theres a lot of things i can say about ouran that are good bad and questionable but. god i love it when characters are niceys to each other #i remember i really liked the mall episode bc kyoya and haruhi got to spend time together and their relationship isnt very close #but it was really nice to see their personalities bounce off each other. i think i also wouldve liked to see haruhi alone with kaoru #i also firmly believe all of the hosts are at least a little in love with haruhi and this can be anything like endearing romantic cuz like #who DOESNT love haruhi. kyoya i think would want to study her under a microscope like his fascination with her draws him in #but im fucking obsessed with whatever haruhi and tamaki have going on because YES hes obsessed with her YES he jumps at the chance to #put her in a cute costume but haruhi? she just fucking goes with it because she knows hes fun to be around even if hes a little wacky abt i #theyre all so.
