so there's no hindi version of phoenix wright but it absolutely SHOULD exist because it would be so good listen-
(i am fully "localising" this because if the english and french versions of the game were allowed to then so am i, dammit)
it would take place in some big city in india, probably mumbai so that the steel samurai stuff can be connected to bollywood
the last time i was in mumbai i literally saw a japanese temple like down the road from my grandparents' building so the japanese influences aren't even that out of place. it's a big city okay, it could totally work
kurain village can be a "gaon" (village) somewhere in the maharastrian countryside. the fey manor even feels a lot like the big family houses you get out in gaon, though with a lot more japanese influence of course
the thought of pearl calling maya "maya didi" is melting my heart omg ("didi" means "big sister" but you can also use it on people who aren't literally your sister)
maya can still be called maya, it's a common name in india
and morgan would get so mad whenever phoenix doesn't call maya "maya-ji" ("ji" is a respectful suffix like "-sama" in japanese). he'd be like SHE'S MY BEST FRIEND, WHY TF WOULD I CALL HER "MAYA-JI"
edgeworth and gumshoe would have THE jai dixit and ali bhai dynamic from dhoom. without the motorbikes, of course. gumshoe would call people "yaar" instead of "pal" (it means the same thing).
larry is circuit. i don't know how else to put that. if you understand then you understand and if you don't, you don't.
speaking of, furio tigre would ABSOLUTELY refer to himself with the pronoun "apun" (a first-person pronoun often used by mafia-type characters) and call people "mamu" ("sucker")
OH AND WOCKY WOULD TOO. wocky would speak in the most munnabhai slang you ever heard. he would also mix english, hindi, marathi, gujarati, punjabi and bengali all in the same sentence. nigh incomprehensible.
lotta hart... while it makes sense to make her from south india, i feel like they get negatively stereotyped enough as is and they deserve better. so you know what? she can be gujju. lotta is from surat now and she talks like it. she's got that "hurati" accent. morgan fey hears her with her પાણી instead of पानी and ગોળી instead of गोली and is immediately like "get out >:("
wendy oldbag being one of those desi grannies is absolutely brilliant lmao
sister bikini being a desi auntie is even better
me and my brother have been calling hindi manfred von karma "manoj karma" for funsies so i've decided to keep it (the word "karma" is of indian origin so it works perfectly)
i haven't come up with pun names for people yet but phoenix, apollo and athena can keep their english first names. seriously, in mumbai you see places with those names all the time. especially apollo. it is inescapable.
Tumblr media
^see? i was DYING. anyways
MAYA'S TRADEMARK FAVOURITE FOOD SHOULD BE PANI PURI ("gol guppa" for you dehli peeps), NO I AM NOT TAKING CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM
khura'in, being likely in the himalayas somewhere near bhutan (based on their climate and culture), would still be a few hours' plane journey from mumbai so it still works. a lot of the khura'inese characters can keep their same names too, eg "nahyuta sahdmadhi" already sounds very very sanskrit to my ears (sanskrit is the south asian equivalent of what latin is in europe). and also have you seen how he dresses because it's clearly a sherwani (indian/pakistani formal clothing) and amara's idle animation is clearly inspired by art of hindu deities and rafya's middle name is literally padma and oh my god there is so much shared cultural influence they are CLEARLY countries that border each other
(the "kh" sound strongly present in the khura'inese language is also giving me south asian vibes...)
me and my brother already joke about how shah rukh khan would totally make a great mr reus/roger retinz. LISTEN okay he absolutely would. he's got that villain swag.
you don't even need to change the other guy's real name ("manov mistree") because that already sounds like an indian name. do you know how common the surname "mistry" is in some parts?? do you know how many gazillions of people i personally know who have names that sound exactly like that??? and roger retinz is the ratings rajah. RAJAH (king). i've already been headcanoning him as desi since the first time i played aa6. anyway shah rukh khan character vibes
(but then again amir khan has literally played an evil magician in a bollywood movie before, so he could pull it off too i think...)
hindi has informal ("tu"), medium ("tum") and formal ("aap") second-person pronouns. you could have SO MUCH FUN with those. franziska would call literally everyone "tu" to assert dominance while edgeworth would call literally everyone "aap" to keep them distant. siblings amirite
franziska referring to miles as "mera chhota bhai" is actually killing me oh my god. that's her chhota bhai you guys skjdhkjfhldjssdrgse
feenie calling dahlia "dollie" works really well because i have like seven relatives with the nickname "dollie" so i'm presuming it must be common
oh yes, and mumbai does occasionally get earthquakes so the DL-6 incident still makes sense
india also has an active space programme so the UR-1 incident does too
and there's a monsoon season with storms so the SL-9 incident does as well ahahhahahhaa this is sO GOOD (okay in all fairness the monsoon season is not in february, when the case takes place... whatever whatever it's FINE i can make it work somehow)
you can use three scripts for the one translation -- english romanisation (for NRIs like me who suck at hindi...), the devanagari script commonly used to write hindi, and the urdu script so that urdu speakers can play too (for the most part the languages are mutually intelligible, you wouldn't need to change the dialogue at all, only the writing system)
if anyone out there is better at hindi than i am and wants to make a fan translation please do, it would be so iconic

Hey, thoughts anon here. Back again so soon, I know, I know.
I guess I should start off by replying to your last answer (specifically the first part). Thank you so much for that, firstly. I do write (I have my own OCs and I'm currently world-building) but I don't really show people my writing because, well. Now that I think of it, I don't really know why I don't show people. I just don't. And I don't plan to either, except if it's creative writing assignments from school, that is. I'm not opposed to participating in competitions either, but my teachers don't allow it because what I write and how I write it is rather, erm. Unconventional, let's say.
That said, I'm not very particularly talented at it, though I'd like to be.
And it is also at this point I wish to make like that one specific type of fic writers and say that English... is not my first language. Sort of. I'm trilingual, you see, and English was just ONE of the languages I was taught from a very young age, along with Hindi and Bengali. I am practiced in all three. I also learn German from school (it's been like what, 8 years?) and French on my own (although I started with French just this year). So you could say I know 4.5 languages. (At this point I feel strangely as though I'm bragging. I probably am a little bit.)
Anyway, languages are my passion, and I feel as though I could never learn enough of them or from them. I actually plan on pursuing Linguistics someday.
In other news, I'm over that girl! Completely. I guess I pulled a James Potter number on her and just fell in love with the idea of her, because of the mature way she talked and how she was so unbothered by everything around her. I realise now more than before that she did some pretty childish things too, because she's a kid, like me, and wants to be older than her age, like me. We'd never work out anyway. (Speaking of pulling James Potter numbers, I am now in dire need of my Regulus Black coded partner.)
Also, I have discovered that I'm actually pan and ace (as opposed to when I used to think I was bi) and am quite attached to both labels. The only problem is ninety percent of my picrews feature bi flags and badges so. Hehe, self-discovery I guess.
Lastly, Christmas was a drag. No, literally. My mother DRAGGED me by the hair, tied me up with our luggage and whisked the both of us to my grandmother's house for some 'family time' (which in my country means a stay of over ten days) wherein we all fought like cats and dogs, went out a lot, ate too much street food (which was hotter than the sixth circle hell btw) and promptly fell sick. Both my mom and my aunt puked at least twice, my grandmother shouted at them for being so reckless with their health while my uncle stood by and resigned himself to the fact that women will be women, and as for me, I wanted nothing more than to disappear off the face of this planet. But, Christmas wishes, in a surprising turn of events, do not come true, it seems.
Anyway, it was also around Christmas that my family (on my mother's side) discovered (by pure accident) that I had grown taller than all of them, and I was instantly labelled 'Lambhu Singh', much to my chagrin. This accursed term is MEANT to be a funny and endearing nickname for someone who is tall and lanky. (I am not thin, I am extremely mid-size and also hate my life, did I mention?) Anyway, how was YOUR Christmas + New Year? I hope you could enjoy it with your wife. Sending love.
Hi <3
As far as writing and knowing languages, you definitely are talented and I don't think you're bragging at all. That's a wonderful thing to be talented at!
I'm glad you're discovering more about yourself and your identity, it's wonderful to feel comfortable in that way.
And I'm so sorry your holidays were awful. To be honest, I'm a bit worried about what you said about your mother...are you okay? I hope things are a bit better now?
My holidays were pretty good! I'm glad to be getting back into a routine now though <3

Do you have any other Desi Johnny hc’s? I love them soo much, It’s so interesting to hear about other cultures! 🫶🏻
yea sure of course!!!
unfortunately still dont have many hcs so some of these will just b building off of old hcs but WHATEVERRRR
•ik i said he wears a lungi at like his house, but he actually did wear it from time to time in the curtis house for when he was sleeping over
•his spice intake is crazy he can eat something rlly spice w no reaction meanwhile everyone else is dying
•ik holi is a hindu holiday and hes not hindus BUT i think he would find it very pretty and be very interested in it (i mean shit unless u wanna hc his religion being hinduism be my guest)
•johnny actually uses a shawl a LOT when hes cold and when he notices that ponys cold he just, uses his cloth and makes pony wear a shawl too, literally 0 questions asked
•his fav food is biryani i will not be elaborating
•he eats w his hands a lot (like yknow he eats things like rice w his hands) he finds it pretty practical, and he WAS nervous about doing it around everyone else outside his home but he kinda grew out of that
•his mom used to feed him w her hands, thats like one of the better memories he has w her, so maybe???he also feeds pony w his hands??? as like a familial thing
•FUN FACT in 1952 there was this big emphasis on bengali culture, especially language and since johnny was born in like 1949, i think his mom (i hc him as half mexican half bengali, his mom is bengali, or if u want u can reverse it it truly does not matter) would have this big idea to surround him around him speaking bengali as his first language (if ur curious spanish is his second language, then english is his third)
•him learning english as his third language is kinda why he has trouble reading acc, i forgot if that was canon or not, but yea, he can speak it perfectly fine, he just didnt practice actually reading it as much
•he sees his mom as like bollywood pretty when she was younger, if that makes any sense, like movie star pretty (YES IK BOLLYWOOD IS FROM INDIA but my point still stands)
THATS THE HCS I GOT FOR NOW, if i messed anything up or wasnt culturally right someone feel free to tell me

Chapter1 - Pooh (& Inner Pooh)
Hello Readers…I hope you liked the Intro blog as much as I liked writing it…
One comment which I got from DeeDee was that I should have mentioned my age as, not ‘in thirties’, but rather ‘in late thirties’ !!!! Angry Pooh’s reaction was ‘Why not I say approaching FORTYYY!!!!’ …..(Inner Pooh – ‘If you round it off, you can even say FIFTY….’) GRRRRRRR……..
Guys, I need to introduce you all to another character in my life i.e. 'Inner Pooh'....Don't know what she is.... is she inside me? or outside me? is she some supernatural being???? I have no fucking idea….I just know that it's very difficult to keep her in control…she has her views, her choices, her comments blah blah blah,  in every chapter of my life!! It was tough to keep her out of the Intro blog….but now she is going to peekaboo from time to time….please bear with her!!!
Let us now get further into the murky waters of the Pooh Saga….ahem ahem…
I am a happy single with no wants to mingle (Inner Pooh : "As if they care!!").... But I do enjoy ‘window shopping’ (Mr. Momoas and Mr.Clooneys of the world) from time to time….I do not have any budget for actual ‘shopping’ in this life …..however, I do have a long exquisite shopping list for my next life… (Inner Pooh : "God save the world!!")...LOL…
I think I am funny…I may not be ‘Mrs. FunnyBones’ of the world…..but I definitely am ‘Ms. Funnily Crackling Bones’..yeahhhh, my knees have started making crackling sound…OLD AGE KNOCKING!!! (sighhhhhhhhh)
I am labelled as ‘Fake Punjabi’ by my friends…I am a pure vegetarian Punjabi who has never been to Punjab!!!! I knowwwww…laugh at my expense….(Inner Pooh sarcastically : "How funny!! You expect them to laugh at this?? duhhhh" )
If I weren’t Indian, I would definitely be an Italian…why?....simple answer….I love (rather am obsessed) with Pizza and Pasta! (Inner Pooh : “Cheese, Wine…..#drooling”)…I love the way Italians love their food…I adore their open nature, warm and welcoming to all…. (All these ideas are just based on my knowledge gained from books and movies :D I do hope to visit Italy someday…….)
If I am half Punjabi, then I am half Bengali (ohkk…I get it…some similarity with Piku)….I have spent my entire life in Kolkata….and the funny thing is that I can understand Bengali (with all its slangs, courtesy to my college friends) but in 30+ years, I have not learnt to speak Bengali….my Bengali is as good as my Punjabi…’ektu ektu’ (little little) LOL
Those who know me well, very well know, how much I depend on ‘Muri’ (aka puffed rice) in my life….Muri is my soul….Puffed rice making me puffier…but who cares….Muri is Love… (shout-out to all the Bongs who share this love)
I have had the privilege to be associated with various garment sizes…XXXL to XXL to XL to L to M to L to XL….(pleaseeee God not back to XXXL!!!!) Life comes to a circle…I am a big round circle (Inner Pooh : "Stupid Woman! Circle is 2-dimension…you are Spherical…") (Me – "Shut Up !!!!")….ohhk….so I am a big  ‘spherical’ ball rolling down the path of life!!!!
I am a crazy freaking romantic…be it Mills & Boon books or Hallmark movies or Lata ji’s songs (may her soul rest in peace)….I am a sucker for all these!!!
I am hazardous to expensive technological stuff….I dare not buy expensive mobiles or television or laptop or blah blah blah….You need to ask Singh Jiju how tortured he feels seeing the way I handle my mobile phone (btw same goes for DeeDee and so you can understand Singh Jiju’s trauma :P )
I have a special ‘God-Gift’ to identify doppelgangers….yeahhhhh….’Heyyy, you look so much like Mr.X’, ‘DeeDee, see! isn’t she looking like Ms.Y’ , ‘I have seen this person somewhere….’ etc etc (Inner Pooh : "It's not a gift, silly…..screws in your brain are loose!!")
I have serious memories issue (Inner Pooh : "the woman is saying something correct after ages!!!")...…the extent of which can be understood from the following example…..Open a soandso.com website, click Login, click ‘Forgot Password’ (Inner Pooh : " As expected….duh!!!"), change password, back to Login page, and….waittttt …What was the password??? And cycle repeats ☹
I have no love-interest in my life but I have FULL interest in other’s love-life!! In fact, every single niece/nephew I meet, I end up asking same questions…’got a girlfriend?’, ‘found a guy?’ …it has become such a bad habit that these nieces/nephews now say that I am becoming like those nosy aunties (Aunty mat bolo….DO NOT DARE CALL ME AUNTY!!!!).....(Inner Pooh : "Call her grannyyyyyy….")
I have this special talent that I fail to remember the names of things, people, places etc but I do remember their beginning alphabet…and then I play Bournvita Quiz Contest with my audience (I mean my poor relatives/friends)… ‘Arreee….it begins with an S’, ‘Sonu…I know this actor…what was his name? Something starting with A…’ (sighhhhhh) (Inner Pooh : "I am telling you from ages…you need psychiatric help babes!!!")
And the list goes on…let me keep something for my future blogs….If I tell you guys everything today, then there will be no suspense left!!! (Inner Pooh : "awwwww….how much interested the world is in your life….#sarcasm") ….But, I do hope that now you guys know me (& Inner Pooh) and you will be able to relate to our shenanigans…Until next time…Ciao!!
P.S.: Please refer to the P.S. of my first blog..duh!!!!

ok so basically i need advice. my girlfriend (who i have been dating for 6 years i promise this is relevant) just turned 26, i’m 32. and at the very end of 2020/start 2021 she started to gain a lot of success. like ungodly amounts of success. pre pandemic she worked for the UN (she still does but is transitioning out) but in 2020 she went back to school to get a degree (she’s in 2nd year now) she started 2 companies which are both successful, one only moderately but the other one absolutely took off in august last year and became one of the top companies in our country as well as ranking on several lists for humane working conditions. she taught herself to code, built an app which made the apple editors list all in less than 5 months, she speaks so many languages it’s insane. she signed a book deal. she started 2 charities, one that pairs with universities and colleges in our local area to retrain houseless people and partners with local businesses to give them guaranteed 6-8 month job contracts as well as using the money from her app to buy a building and house as many of them as possible. it works. the second is a basically single handedly solving the food scarcity problem in our area and surrounding counties. last week i found out she started teaching herself bengali so she’d be able to talk to my parents. she went on an insane fitness journey, lost weight and got jacked and just last month got selected for the national team for a sport she had never even played before january but took up during lockdown, they’re pretty sure she’ll make the olympic team next year. and she still is the most amazing girlfriend, she’s never dropped the ball on our relationship even once, even though i have no idea how she finds enough hours in the day for everything. and i find myself being unable to be happy for her because i’m jealous of her success. the girl goes to class, goes to work and literally is changing the world for thousands of people every single day and i’m just there like “today at work i managed to not cry also i took a shower” and she is genuinely happy for me every time. she kisses me, makes me dinner and listens to me eagerly as i tell her about the job i have that i hate and is genuinely happy that i took a shower or that i took a nice walk like she didn’t just spend 13 hours literally changing the world. when people ask me if i’m proud of her i have to just awkwardly laugh because i think i’m too jealous to be proud. she asked me to move in with her last month (we basically live together anyway) but i can’t bring myself to do it bc i don’t want to be reminded of the success i haven’t achieved (she’s not in any way flashy, the opposite actually she gives away most of her wealth and actually downgraded flats after success, i just find myself thinking about it more and more). am i a terrible person?
I'm going to say something that may sound absurdly simple given the length of your message and you incredibly detailed you were (which btw thank you I appreciate you being so open with me) but I promise I'm not being facetious. This is genuinely the single best piece of advice I can give you: I think you need therapy. Potentially couple's therapy but start with solo therapy and go from there. I'm no expert but it seems to me like you're severely depressed and that's only something a professional can help you navigate. There might be some other issues feeding the jealousy but it might also just be that your depression has you stuck and once you solve that problem you can gain momentum in your own life in a way that would leave no room for jealousy of her success. So yeah, that's my honest advice.
Another thing I would say is, she sounds like an amazing girlfriend so maybe a conversation with her explaining things the way you explained them to me wouldn't hurt. Open communication is better than letting things fester. She asked you to move in with her. She clearly sees a future with you so be honest with her about where your head is at. If therapy isn't something you could afford on your own then maybe opening up to her would mean she could help in some way given her success. It would ultimately benefit you both in the long run. Idk. I just think therapy is at the very center of your solution. Everything else will stem from there.

THE GREAT LEMON PICKLE
I am not an expert on pickles. My mother was. The shows like The Pickle Nation on Epic Channel helped my mother in honing her art. She could make the pickles out of anything.
Being an Indian, I am privileged with the presence of endless fruits and vegetables ready to be pickled and eaten as a side dish. Sometimes as the only dish with Rotis too. My favorite is mango pickle( aam ka achar).
“maine, ek..ek martaba na.. aur aam ka achar banaya..to main mar jaungi..main mar jaungi rakesh.”
Wailed Babli in front of Dashrath Singh in Bunty Aur Babli.
Well, if we take the cue from this movie and many others, preparing pickles is taken as an intensely domestic activity. One cannot be professional and smart if one prepares pickles. But, as my mother used to say and as I observed over the last 15-20 years, one cannot prepare really tasty and sustainable pickles, if one is not smart. But, why stereotype it?
There is a reason why some dishes are referred to as grandmother dishes because they need precision. Our generation cannot be trusted with that. My mother had inherited the art of pickling not only from her mother and grandmother, also from her neighbors’ mothers and grandmothers. This activity was very much like the one we got to see in Sasural Genda Phool song. Waheeda Rehman, Aditi Rao, Sheeba Chaddha, and others lovingly prepare spices and oils to put them together. Again, a domestic scenario.
But, what about the people who don’t have nanis and dadis with them? Thanks to Covid, many of us don’t even have mothers, to begin with. Does the tradition die here? Should it? I mean, people (primarily women) working 9-9 on their laptops or in their office cannot and honestly, should not bother themselves with these preparations. So, what should be done? Switch to Goldee, Tops, Mother’s pickles? Or simply don’t eat them. Eventually, we don’t eat them. So then what?
Then, comes the deadly viruses which push us to go inwards and start healthy and traditional eating habits. Back to desi daal, chawal, sabzi, roti, salad, and achar for the good gut bacteria. After all, we all want to live a healthy and longer life. Thus, begins the search for the recipes.
Now, if a person is like me who, thanks to her mother, knows the difference between a good achar and a badly prepared one, cannot settle for a less than a perfect recipe. We turn to Youtube. The ultimate dadi and nani of 21stcentury. If you are a Hindi-speaking Indian, you must have come across tons of channels giving you the recipe on a tap. Keep scrolling and lo behold, you find Nisha Madhulika. I tell you, this woman has literally been a savior of my life. With the wisdom imparted by my mother and her tips and tricks, one can make anything. Well, I know, she prepares only vegetarian food primarily without onions and garlic. But, I also know, that my Bengali friends have their Nisha Madhulika in Bong eats. Basically, youtube is there to save the day, if by any chance you are into cooking.
You must be thinking, why I am rambling about here. If you are a person like me who wants to have the traditional delicacies in your life, you would understand how life becomes without any magical hand with you. Because I love them and the onus of preparing them solely is on me. Obviously, because I want them. Home-made, simple, and healthy. Hence, I made one. The simplest, the healthiest, and the Digene of every lower-middle- and the lower-class person suffering from indigestion, flatulence, etc. NEEMBU KA ACHAR ( Lemon Pickle).
The recipe is really simple:
Take as many lemons as you want, depending upon the money you have and the distance between the market and your home. Distance varies according to the love for it and willpower to go there. If you are lucky, you will find a pheriwala with just as juicy and big lemons as you might find in the market.
Select the lemons which on touch tell you that they have thinner skin. In Uttar Pradesh, one finds the best and cheapest lemons in the month of December- January.
I remember how my mother used to scan the entire market in one walk and then go back to a seller who would have 3-4 mounds of lemons. She would then try to scavenge the juiciest lemons from the mound of middle-range price. Like, 8 for Rs.10, 6 for Rs.10, 4 for Rs.10.
Soak the lemons for 5-6 hours (currently, I don’t know why, but if I will come to know, I’ll surely share)
Cut the lemon into 4 pieces; before cutting, remove any trace of water present. Dry them with towels. they look cute this way and( the jar looks fuller, believe you me).
Take a bowl, add the lemons, add carom seeds ( if I take 20 lemons, I add seeds till each lemon gets coated with 7-8 seeds), add salt. MIX THEM UP.
My mother always added two salts- black salt and table salt. It really takes the taste a notch up.
For my friends who are as beginner as I am, I added 5-6 spoons of salt for 20 lemons and left the matters to god.
Now, the trickiest part is the jar selection. You might want to have a jar that displays how able and desperate you are. I took a glass jar with a wide mouth. So that I could take a pickle out without having my hands pickled every time. WASH AND DRY IT. Leave it in the sun for a few hours if you can. Not a trace of water should be left otherwise your pickle will turn into fungal vanilla ice cream.
Place the contents into the jar. Shake well and leave it in the sun.
If you live in an apartment, appoint a person to put the jar on the terrace and bring it back at dusk. Or if you want leaner legs, do it yourself. Do this for at least a month.
Shake the contents once in a while without breaking the jar.
After 25-30 days, taste it. If the salt is less, add some more; if the salt is extra, blame it on god.
If it is perfect, then what are you waiting for? EAT THE DAMN PICKLE! ( if you are a fan of simple pickles, if not, please don’t call me names, ask Nisha aunty!)
WHEN LIFE GAVE ME LEMONS, I PICKLED THEM.
As the days went by, I saw the lemons submerging into their own pulp and juice. The jar was emptying. The anaerobic fermentation process under warm sunlight took all the shine, shape, and superficial beauty of lemons away. Just the way hundreds of suns would disappear under the sea and leave bright orange radiance, the feeling of longing for love and care, and the sense of accomplishment. What was left after a month of the grueling process was their pure and unadulterated essence. Is this what hardships do to us? Are we submerging into our own essence with the constant struggle of finding ourselves? What about after struggling with grief, the pain of losing loved ones, and pieces of oneself with them? Would we know ever? I hope we do. After all, we are just small pickles in this huge jar of the universe.

Inheritance: Her dad was disowned after he married her mom... he made his own hospital and became a successful businessman. Her mom was a doctor as well. They lived a simple life they didn’t spend their money on things that they didn’t need and they lived in a regular house, most of their money was given to charity and her family in Bangladesh during the flooding. Jake and Samantha were disciplined and worked and earned their own money by doing work experience. People often misjudge Samantha thinking she had advances in life when she didn’t.

She became quiet and stayed in her room for a week...After her mom died her dad became an alcoholic but he hid his issues he also had anger issues. She started to draw and do art. Her aunt invited her to Boston where she came at the start of her intern year.
Present: she has many faded marks from her dad and uncles years of abuse. She’s a claustrophobic due to being beaten and abused for years and she feels at times her dad would be there to hit her in her sleep when he isn’t. She sleeps with the door half open. She doesn’t let her past effect her present at all. She loves to joke around and have fun. Her friends often joke of her height and the fact she’s the youngest, they treat her like a kid.
Characteristics: she has four things that she does...When she’s happy she’s like a child...innocent, happy and you can’t help but to smile and join in with her joy. When she’s angry she ends up breaking into Bengali, when she’s sad or feels alone she draws she’s a good artist. When she’s confused she questions everything. However if she’s really upset she locks herself in her room and sits quietly thinks about it. She loves nature and can find beauty in anything. Her friends often come to her when they are in need of advice she’s good at giving advice... she can dance but she doesn’t have confidence to dance. She can’t sing at all to save her life. However she can cook, her aunt taught her how to cook... both English and traditional Bengali food. she loves to do art it helps express her. She loves to read and spend her free time outdoors she enjoys the peace and quiet...and she can be quite philosophical at times...
Random facts: she’s the youngest child but treated like the eldest she does have a lot of responsibilities. Family is everything for her... she loves to spend time with her friends. Her brother in law often makes fun of her height as a joke as she makes fun of his, him being too tall. She suffers from panic attacks and takes medication for it... Art is sort of her coping mechanism. Her friends think she has too much sass and she reacts too quickly. She won’t start a fight but if anyone says anything about her friends and family she will fight them.
Just a little thing I did because not everyone knows my mc or her background... Thanks for reading and showing support.💕💕

British Bangladeshi Muslim 21 Year Old
I’m usually a lurker on this blog but, I’ve decided to send in a POC profile - mainly because it’s so rare for me to see someone like me represented in the media. In fact, I’m not certain I’ve ever seen someone Bangladeshi represented in mainstream media
Beauty Standards
Colourism is a very big thing still in the Bangladeshi community. My parent’s generation, despite liking to think that they’re very open minded still fall into the trap of the narrow minded view so present in the older generations. I’ve always fallen on the fairer side and as I grew up and developed mild iron deficiency, people would comment on how beautiful my skin was (and some people use the Bengali word for beautiful as being synonymous for fair), whilst my younger sister who is on the darker side but very rarely gets such comments.
Clothing
On a day to day basis, I wear casual English clothes or more casual Asian clothing around the house. But, for special occasions where I’m going to be with other Bengali people, I do tend to wear traditional clothing. Essentially, all the women in our house have two wardrobes; one with English clothes and one with Asian clothes. Although, nowadays, the English wardrobe seems to be growing more and more packed. A quick thing - traditional Asian clothes, especially those that are very flashy and embroidered, are heavy and so people don’t tend to wear them that often.
But - it differs between person to person. My mum wears English clothes around the home but her older sister wears a saree - a plainer saree but a saree none the less.
Culture
Culture is an odd one for me because I’ve never felt as if I belonged to either one. Growing up, I didn’t fit into the typical English stereotype because I wasn’t Caucasian and I grew up bilingual. I’d also hear all these bad things about Bangladesh, and the experiences others had around me would mould the opinion I had of a country my family still refer to as their motherland. But, as I’ve grown older and actually started to make opinions for myself, I’ve begun to accept that I can be a part of both, I don’t need to be one or the other.
Dating and Romance
In my family at least, ‘dating’ is done with the intention to marry. It all remains very chaste - with very little/no physical affection - until after marriage and almost all dates are with chaperones. The only ones that happen without chaperones are those in secret or those happening after the engagement. Nowadays, I feel like love marriages are the norm and most couples meet through being introduced by other people.
Food
Food is a big part of our culture. In fact, if you’re invited to someone’s house, or if you pop in for five minutes, it’s considered rude to not sit down and have a cup of tea or even to have an entire meal. Food is one of the ways that we show affection for each other and, especially for important days like Eid, food plays a central role. Eating a meal together on a festival day like Eid is one of the few days of the year when all the adults and all the children gather together and spend time together.
In my home at least, rice and curry is a staple. As Bangladesh is mainly riverine, fish is an important part of the diet. In fact, there’s a saying that if you can’t eat fish, you’re not really Bengali (which makes things a bit awkward for my uncle who is allergic to fish) and in some families there’s a tradition of a new bride cooking a fish curry on the second day of marriage. I’m not sure why, but it’s a thing.
Home/Family life/ Friendship
I could talk about family for ages …
My family is on the big side with my Mum being one of eight and my Dad being one of six. I’m one of three, but all of my cousins are considered like siblings - because we were raised as siblings. The familial bond is an important one and it’s often one that’s a burden to bear. For instance, as I’m the oldest granddaughter/niece/cousin I’m called affa by every cousin younger than me (Affa meaning older sister) and this burden is quite a heavy one to bear. It means that when the cousins experience any issues, they run to you to sort it out whether it’s something small or something big and it’s a burden I don’t mind shouldering. After all, it’s one I’ll likely have to carry for the rest of my life.
Everyone older than you is treated with respect - even if you don’t want to respect them at all. For some reason, it’s an important thing.
Friendship between Bengali girls is … something else. Often we’ll break off and have our own conversation in Bengali as if it’s some sort of secret code and this usually comes in extremely handy when discussing secret birthday party plans in front of the person whose birthday we’re planning. Personally, my parents have never been strict that I can’t have any male friends - I honestly don’t think they care but I know of other parents who insist that their daughters can’t have male friends.
Language
To me particularly, the language was an important thing. I grew up bilingual because my grandparents lived with us and they couldn’t communicate in English. But, I don’t remember ever making the effort to learn it - it was something I picked up. I certainly can’t read or write in Bengali but I can speak it. However, this ability doesn’t seem to have transferred to my sister and most of the younger cousins. Most of my younger cousins can’t speak Bengali and so struggle to communicate with our grandparents and it’s sad to say but this isn’t strange at all. Many of the new generation British Bangladeshi’s can’t speak the language and in fact, they don’t care to learn it because they don’t see it as being worth passing along.
Religion
As a Muslim woman, I find myself being constantly policed. Whether it’s by the media or by those around me. There seems to be a misconception that if a woman wears a hijab (the head covering) then she is the epitome of all things chaste and virtuous - but that’s not always the case. There are so many hijabis I know that don’t pray five times a day or keep their fasts or they drink etc. In fact, I’ve met a lot of muslim women who don’t wear hijab but their niyyah (intention) and their behaviour is inline with religion - my sister being an example.
The basic 5 pillars of islam, the first of which is the shahadah which is the declaration of faith. This is whispered by father’s into their children’s ears at birth and is the last thing whispered into someone’s ear as they pass away.
The daily prayers are the second - with 5 prayers throughout the day and this is something I know many people struggle with, but I personally think that faith is a personal thing - you alone know your struggles. If you are praying 5 times a day and you are ridiculing someone who only prays once, you may think you’re doing the right thing. But for all you know - that person who prays once a day may be someone who reverted to the faith (revert being what we call converts) and they may be on the road to accepting Islam. Your two minutes of ridicule may even turn someone else away from peace they were hoping to find in Islam.
Zakat is the third which refers to giving alms to the poor and this is often done in the month of Ramadan.
Fasting in Ramadan is the fourth pillar and during this month, Muslims fast from sun rise to sunset and we’re not allowed to drink or eat anything. (And yes - this includes water. Not even water? Is a question we always get)
The final pillar, the fifth refers to Hajj which is the yearly pilgrimage to Mecca. Everyone who is able to afford the trip and can make it, should complete it at least once in their lives. All my family who have been, have said that it is the most peaceful time they’ve ever spent in their lives.
Things I’d like to see less of…
Muslim girls being ‘repressed’ by wearing the hijab and having a curfew and being secretly rebellious once they leave the home.
Yes, I have a curfew but mostly it’s because my parent’s are terrified after hearing of all the stabbings and the acid attacks that happen to hijab wearing Muslim women
The overly strict father figure who is unreasonable and adores sons over his daughters.
My father was on the strict side yes, but I realise now, after growing up and talking to him that it was all shaped on his own experiences. Yes, he might not have let me play in the streets until late like other kids but it was because when he was young, if he stayed out too late the racist teens would approach the Bengali children and attack them. My father was strict, but in the way that other parents in his position will be. (If anything, my mother is stricter … and the worst thing she does is text me a list of chores that she wants me to do whilst she’s at work)
That brings me onto the next point; the mother who stays at home being uneducated and relying on her husband for everything.
There’s nothing wrong with that - but the issue comes when this character is used to put down Bengali women, to try and show how much better Caucasian educated women are.
Another thing I absolutely can’t stand is the idea of a Bengali girl falling for some plain, boring Caucasian boy and he removes the wool from over her eyes, teaching her how repressed she was and how she should embrace this Western lifestyle. When a boy tried that on me in my first year of uni, I walked away from him the moment he told me that he has a hijab kink because Muslim girls are and I quote ‘untouched and I can teach them everything’.
Things I’d like to see more of…
Supportive family units.
Whilst I might fall out with my parents every now and then, as is natural, they still support me. My father and I often head out for little ice cream cafe dates and my mother is teaching me to cook (although her cooking style tends to be put enough of this in and enough of that - there’s no measurements of anything) and my siblings and cousins and I gather as a whole every weekend. Those of us that live close enough to anyway. The 20+ of us that do gather, take over a house and all between the ages of 21 and 5 tend to be unruly and can go crazy but it’s a dynamic no one seems to want to represent.
The educated hijabi.
Goodness, I can’t stand seeing the trope of a girl wanting to marry and pop out babies and etc - yes, it’s a valid trope but again, so many people use it to show how backwards we are. My eyes are even rolling now - Bengali Muslim girls are amongst some of the most driven people I have met and this is usually because the older women in our families weren’t given these opportunities and most people instantly assume that we’re not going to get far.
Casual mentions of Islam - religion is a big part of a character.
But I hate it being a controversial thing especially since Islam literally translates to ‘peace gained through submission to Allah’ and newsflash, Allah is the arabic word for God. That’s it. Why can’t we have characters who have to be home before sunset because they need to pray? Or hijabis needing to go shopping for a new headscarf or even phrases like 'this top would be so cute if it weren’t see through’ or 'if only this dress was floor length and then I wouldn’t have to wear leggings with it. I hate having to wear leggings in the heat’. These are things I regularly say!
Wooow, this is long and I kind of ended up rambling. But I hope it helps someone!

“Historically, these rituals have had minimum participation of the bride. But, in today’s context, that needs to completely change. Today, both are equal partners and so such an addition was crucial.”
POST AUTHOR:ANANYA BARUA
POST PUBLISHED:FEBRUARY 12, 2019
In the midst of a rising cloud of ‘yagna‘ smoke, the ‘Ulu Dhwani‘ reaches its crescendo amidst the chanting of shlokas (verses). This is the typical imagery of a Hindu Bengali wedding. But, we are talking about one which wasn’t.
To begin with, there was no male purohit draped in a white dhoti, proudly holding the ‘yagnopawitha,’ the holy thread, wound around his body while chanting Vedic verses in Sanskrit.
Instead, it had a group of women, gracefully chanting the scriptures in Bengali amid some of Tagore’s most melodious songs.
Their only motto—reintroduce the culture and heritage of India to the younger generation sans the orthodoxy, ambiguity or inequality.
“The knowledge in our scriptures cannot stay hidden behind an ancient language. The couples of this generation are asking questions about what and why they do in rituals. And, it is the responsibility of the priests to help them understand. That’s exactly what we are doing,” said Nandini Bhowmik, to The Better India.
Nandini is the priestess at the helm of ‘Shubham Astu’, a group of female priests who have been crashing gender stereotypes and the patriarchy, in their own graceful and harmonious way.
A visiting faculty at the Sanskrit department of Jadavpur University (JU), Kolkata, and a theatre actor, Nandini found her calling as a priestess a decade ago.
“I was in college and our Sanskrit teacher, Gauri Dharmalal, had introduced a new and reformed way for female priests to perform Hindu rituals. So in a few years, we (a bunch of young Sanskrit teachers) began to pursue this. After a few years, with the help of few more fellow priestesses, I branched out, and together we created a more evolved script which was in-line with this generation,” said Nandini.
Since then, with Nandini and Ruma Roy reciting the hymns and Semanti Banerjee and Poulami Chakraborty singing songs, the wedding ceremonies conducted by Shubham Astu have become a unique experience.
According to her, for any ancient scripture, the process of evolution is continuous. And, so one of the major changes introduced was a simplified interpretation of the texts in three languages—Sanskrit, Bengali and English.
This new script also did away with the ‘kanyadaan,’ a prominent ritual in a Hindu wedding, thus starting a new wave across the state.
The No-Kanyadaan Wedding
A byproduct of patriarchy, kanyadaan, which literally means donating one’s daughter, is a commonly practised ritual in Hindu weddings.
But, Nandini and her group are slowly changing things. They have officiated several weddings where this ritual was not conducted.
One such wedding in Kolkata went viral after a guest saw the father refusing to perform the kanyadaan, and tweeted about it.
When TBI got in touch with Dr Amlan Ray, the father of the bride, he explained the ideology behind the decision.
“I took this decision some six months before the wedding day. And, that was one of the major reasons why I requested Nandini Bhowmik and her group to officiate the wedding. Contrary to common belief, which considers this to be against Hindu culture, a wedding without kanyadaan is not a new thing and is already mentioned in the scriptures,” said Dr Ray.
Dr Ray argues that the Rig Veda mentions eight different types of wedding, of which only the Brahma wedding includes the ritual of kanyadaan.
“And, most Hindu weddings today will not qualify to be a Brahma wedding, as it involves the wedding of one’s daughter to a Vedic scholar, among other strictures. In general, today most modern weddings come under the Gandharva marriage category, in which bride and groom know each other before marriage, and the marriage can be between different communities and castes without any barrier, and without the practice of kanyadaan,” he added.
Speaking about his daughter’s wedding, he added that the level of understanding and simple interpretation made the event more meaningful and memorable.
“Unlike other purohits, these priestesses made sure that the experience was worth remembering. We were not just blindly following directions, but understanding the significance behind every verse, as all of it was in Bengali,” said Dr Ray.
Equal partners in marriage and life
The wedding ceremony of Sharmistha Chaudhuri and Dr Debadyuti Ghosh was a perfect example of equal partnership, all thanks to Nandini and her group of priestesses.
Held on January 4, Sharmistha spoke to TBI and shared that her wedding was both rooted in tradition and yet liberated from the rigid strictures; seeing each individual as a separate entity.
“There were several rituals introduced in the wedding, which ushered an egalitarian beginning to our relationship. One such ritual was where the groom applies sindoor on the bride’s head. While we conducted it, we also added another bit, where I applied a tikka on his head, in return, thus symbolising our union with vermillion,” she said.
This is one of the many rituals introduced to ensure equal participation of the bride and groom in the ceremony.
Explaining the principle, Nandini, who is also an Indologist said, “Historically, our world has been patriarchal and owing to that, the laws and rituals were also formed in such a manner. Also, in the olden days, girls were married at a very young age, making it very difficult for them to understand or participate in the rituals. However, in the current context, that needs to change completely. Today, both are equal partners, in age, experience and agency, and so, this addition was crucial.”
With all this in place, the couples added that their weddings were more than just grand affairs where the main focus is on food and merriment.
Sharmishta exclaimed, “Our ceremony was conducted in English, Sanskrit and Bengali, as a lot of guests, including my husband, were not comfortable with Bengali or Sanskrit. It was a ceremony where people paid attention to the rituals because now they could understand the beautiful underlying symbols. I have had people come and tell me that they had never planned on staying for the actual ceremonies, until now. We all learnt something new!”
Despite taking up a challenging task of questing and reforming the ancient scriptures in all these years of work, the four priestesses of Shubham Astu have surprisingly gathered more love than resistance.
“We did not embrace this to wage any war or hurt anyone’s feelings, but only to share our knowledge. Most people see and understand that and so have been showering us with love!”

⌠ BAHAR SAHIN, 19 CISFEMALE, SHE/HER ⌡ welcome back to gallagher academy, AYLIN KALELI! according to their records, they’re a THIRD year, specializing in LINGUISTICS, CULTURE, & ASSIMILATION AND RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT; and they DID go to a spy prep high school. when i see them walking around in the halls, i usually see a flash of (hair pulled back with a chanel ribbon, lycra boots with razor blades in the heel, champagne and french macarons in a bubble bath, wiping your tears with a $100 bill). when it’s the (leo)’s birthday on 8/3/00 they always request their FRENCH FRIES from the school’s chefs. looks like they’re well on their way to graduation.

bex baxter – gallagher girls

blair waldorf – gossip girl
cher horowitz – clueless
torrance shipman – bring it on
jackie burkhart – that 70s show
cordelia chase – buffy the vampire slayer
tahani al-jamil – the good place
BACKGROUND + CLICK FOR BIO.
both of her parents work for the national intelligence organization of turkey, they’re big shots and they make a lot of money! she has two older sisters and she’s born into a world of wealth and expectations.
it won’t take her long to learn more languages than years she has lived, and waking up early to run drills and do obstacle courses with her sisters is routine.
picture perfect on the outside, the household within goes through turmoil. her mother is promoted to the director of the NIO and it puts a strain on her parent’s relationship.
her father starts taking more business trips, and aylin and her sisters spend nights sitting on the top of the stairs, listening in on phone conversations. aylin’s the youngest, so she doesn’t really understand what’s going on and needs to have it broken down.
aylin had always LOVED her parent’s love story – they met on a mission and they were partners for years, it’s all very romantic. so the divorce leaves her confused. how could you stop loving someone? how could you just give up?
both of her parents are an active part of her life, the divorce is…fairly amicable and they share custody. the only thing aylin doesn’t like is her father’s new girlfriend, young and totally uninvolved in the world of espionage. the girl could be her sister.
aylin spends her time split between two houses, half-belonging to each, but her parents feel GUILTY so aylin quickly learns how to use that guilt to get what she wants, whether it’s freedom or material goods.
she’s a little spoiled, but it doesn’t satisfy her. nothing really does, it just makes her feel sort of empty, so she works harder, filling time with books and training with her older sisters who tell her cool stories from their spy prep schools and teach aylin things they’ve learned when they come home for breaks.
aylin long for the day when she’s not splitting your time between other people’s homes and she’s in a place that she can really call her own.
she goes to the same spy prep school that her older sisters did in london. she’s competitive from the get-go because she’s a kaleli and people already expect things from her to begin with. she smiles when people call her by her sister’s name or mention her mother, but inside she’s seething, eager to prove that she’s good because she works hard, not because she’s someone’s sister or daughter.
it’d be a lie to say that aylin didn’t step on a few toes, and the way she skyrocket to valedictorian is a little less than savory.
she has her pick of spy prep colleges across the nation, but her mom really encourages her to choose gallagher. why? that’s weird, her mom never went there and neither does the rest of her family! but aylin really likes the idea of a place that’s all hers and she’s always wanted to see america, so she chooses it.
she’s a bit smug about being ahead of others because she’s been reading books on espionage since age 4, and if you don’t know sixteen languages, stay out of her way.
PERSONALITY:
PROUD. aylin is a very proud person, she grew up in an affluent household with important parents. when faced with a challenge, it’s her pride that tends to motivate her to be the best because she feels like she has something to prove, and she’ll turn her nose up at you until she gets it. this also makes her stubborn.
INTELLIGENT. aylin was raised in an environment where she was being trained since her childhood, knowing about espionage since she could speak, but she also has an iq of 122, so not quite genius level but she’s getting there. she’s the head cheerleader type that you’d be surprised is actually really good at math.
HARD-WORKING. queen of taking on too many extracurriculars at all times! honestly she tends to overexert herself until she burns out, but she wants it all – the exciting social life, the straight As, the meaningful connections, the parties, when does she sleep? maybe never.
SNOBBISH. honestly, she doesn’t mean to come off as a snob but she definitely does because she hasn’t really known anything other than crystal dishware and fancy clothes. she doesn’t even comprehend that other people don’t come from the same place of privilege that she has.
FUN-LOVING. the girl you want to party with! just because she’s a good student, she wouldn’t want you to think that she doesn’t know how to have a good time. aylin operates in extremes, so she parties just as hard as she studies and has a tendency to get carried away, but let it be known that she’s doing this for herself and not for anyone else’s attention.
MANIPULATIVE. aylin will step on toes to get what she wants, and she’s not scared to fight dirty. she tends to stay in the lines of what’s legal of course, but if she sees a window into getting what she wants, she’ll say what she needs to in order to get it. honestly, she can be a bit callous with the way she uses people and doesn’t always understand the effects of her actions. she would tell you that the ends justify the means. yikes.
INDEPENDENT. doesn’t need you or anyone else and wants you to know it. her confidence is genuine and real, and she doesn’t attribute any of her accomplishments to her family name – she’s not insecure about it, she knows that she’s good at what she does.
HEADCANONS.
started school early, so she’s a bit young for her grade by a year. she sees this as a positive thing and will brag to you about how she’s younger AND smarter. annoying.
acts like she really likes healthy food and eats a salad in public ( will tell you that’s her favorite food ) but she’s weak for things that are greasy and fried and will be pigging out in secret. her favorite food is french fries but you probably wouldn’t guess that about her !
LANGUAGES SHE KNOWS: english, french, turkish, arabic, german, kurmanji, italian, dutch, spanish, mandarin, japanese, latin, hindustani, malay, russian, bengali. some are better than others and some she reads more than she can really speak.
taught herself to skateboard since coming to america since it seemed like the thing to do based on watching american films. she will ride her little penny board in high heels around campus and loves it ! and you thought i couldn’t make her more annoying !
tons of expensive lingerie but u can look but don’t touch.
has a little stuffed rabbit in a tutu that she got as a baby named  dans tavşanı, and she always sleeps with it lol. however, it was recently stolen in her luggage when she was traveling home after the semester and she misses it a lot.
started drinking bc she wanted to be like her sisters and fit in and she’s fun to party with, but has never seen or touched a single drug in her life, not even weed. with parents that work for the government, she’s concerned about it.
super into classic romances, her favorite book is pride and prejudice and jane austen is her favorite author! loves classic romance movies too, or anything by norah ephron. she’s lowkey a romantic and needs to be romanced and feel special before she’d ever consider dating someone or even crushing on them, really. scary movies freak her out though, she will lose her shit at a jump scare.
her parents are not super strict about their religion, but she doesn’t eat pork and her dad doesn’t keep any alcohol in the house. she definitely keeps a lot of secrets from her parents, and they don’t know that she’s ever had a boyfriend.
lowkey a HUGE nerd !!!!!!!
leo with a virgo rising and cancer moon. i am so SORRY !

she has very cute voice. and.. her voice is.. you know.. she doesn’t sound like an adult and she sounds cute but I don’t think that she’s naive
I think that she’s the type of person that.. has parents that make sure that she has everything
is this their only song I know?
they put her on thumbnails always
https://youtu.be/ShGVCembq70?t=50
I saw this on thumbnail for some reason

coaching
coaching was so funny in my games.. I was like.. I didn’t know what that was.. so I was like.. who the fuck is talking all the time.. on microphone. lol.. and we won and I rated coach “bad” xD because I didn’t know even who was talking all game. and he was mad in chat that I gave him bad review.
and then I saw that he was mad in chat on giving him bad rating. it was me who gave him bad rating because I didn’t know that he was in the game.. I was just wondering who is talking on microphone all the time because it was a new thing and it never was in before
so he was so mad that he got one bad review
he was talking all game and I was wondering who is talking.. because I didn’t know who is talking
because it’s the first time I saw it
I just clicked.. whatever to get to the end screen and there was a coach rating screen.. but I didn’t know about this new thing so I didn’t even read that and clicked “no” to get to get out of it
https://youtu.be/5OckREah0ug
because he was telling people to donate instead of subscribing.. that’s why they banned him
they don’t ban people who have contracts like ninja, “shroud” because they have a lot of subscribers
because they have a lot of subscribers..
he was trying to be a smart mouth.. and you know what they do with smart mouths

I told you that twitch bans people who don’t have subscriptions
twitch bans people who don’t have subscriptions and only use donations, because they want money
so they will ban people who don’t make them any money
https://youtu.be/IWtnY8cHlTo?t=69
that’s how that works
maybe aceu also gave away subs so he doesn’t get banned
I’m tired of watching racist commercials on twitch

это баг, мне вкинул в игру меня нелза героя выбирать
#1. everyone says that #2. nobody reads what I’m saying anyway
lol I did the thing with nade
when you throw nade high and it explodes when it falls..
I’m not feeling that good..
I play bad today. I don’t feel that good because I don’t feel that amazing
I need to stretch my back again
I’m already starting to feel good
I was sleeping a lot
every single game requires million hours of playing..
this one isn’t any better
I shouldn’t have eaten so many of these scrambled eggs..
is my pasta from yesterday still okay? smells ok
pasta saved my life
https://youtu.be/w-Wc4lPCW9s
this pasta actually tastes really fresh
I rinsed it in cold water after cooking. that’s why it tastes so fresh. because.. bacteria develops the fastest in the water that is made out of cooking the pasta.. so if I rinse all this water.. away. then bacteria doesn’t grow in the water that I used for cooking pasta
https://youtu.be/CA_EGwZY69E?t=50
make sure that you rinse pasta after cooking in cold water.. if you want it to stay fresh for more time
and also if you rinse it. then pasta becomes cold so bacteria doesn’t grow as fast in cold temperature
I already feel better after eating this pasta
I get a lot of ads on youtube.. about.. people who are asking for money for medical help
and the last one I saw.. is.. hebrew.. and.. it’s not the only hebrew ad like that that I saw.. but this time this person reminded me of yaara.. the hebrew teacher
she said that she was “diagnosed with cancer”. to me what doctors say is just lies
and she’s saying that she’s gonna die.. and.. you know.. I think that donations for stuff like that is a scam
I don’t believe it
I already feel better after eating this pasta
https://youtu.be/Fb0x8R0vb4g?t=50

wow. I said that before too
https://youtu.be/lEiLKnK9RXU?t=367
I said exact same thing
I was saying that I also hate blinds like.. not that long ago
I mean I was talking about like.. 3 times

xD
sky was clear today
it wasn’t clear in previous days.. but day is still really short.. so.. even though it’s.. like.. even though it wasn’t cloudy today.. there wasn’t much sun you know. so usually on not cloudy days days were warmer.. but today it’s kinda like usual. it’s not much warmer than on non cloudy day
because days are short and there’s not a lot of sun anyway.. so it doesn’t get much warmer when it’s not cloudy
usually on non cloudy days it was warmer
but not any more I guess
it’s still not that cold for me
in israel.. (the place where they speak hebrew, and where yaara and this woman who asks for donations live)
it must be warmer there.. on the ad this woman has.. red cheeks and.. she looks like there’s a lot of sun there and it’s hot there
and dry.. her hair look like yaara’s hair
https://youtu.be/dKPKtvrXEfM?t=288
her skin is also.. it’s really dry place. in israel
it’s easy to get dehydrated. it’s really dry. that’s why people wear clothes on entire body. so they don’t evaporate
days are very hot and nights are cold. because it’s really dry climate so the temperature gets cold very fast because it’s really dry. and water has high heat energy capacity, which means that it loses temperature very slowly
air with high humidity wouldn’t lose temperature as fast as dry air
if there’s no water then temperature would change fast
I think that it’s the easiest to learn from all the teachers she is the teacher that’s the easiest and fastest to learn language from all the teachers I’ve seen.. because she knows english very well
and sharon also hair look similar and face too
and I read that sharon is hebrew name
https://youtu.be/eNSVKtopR34?t=49

egypt.. there’s like.. only like.. one language in a lot of countries around this desert climate. like.. I think that 90% of people speak arabic in these desert areas
but in bangladesh it’s a different language
although rumena looks a lot like the girl from jordan
who speaks arabic
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangladesh
“bengali” is more like.. indian language
like hindi
but “religion” is 90% “islam” and only 8.5% “hinduism”

I’m gonna comment “I like the part when she’s saying “one more gay”“
https://youtu.be/9hlrgjIJMpo?t=31
now totally new level starts.. in platinum..
it’s gonna be a lot more difficult this time..
if I have million hours of free time and use it to play then I can maybe get higher
because some people have 2.5k kills on one legend..
I have like.. on all legends.. I have like.. 1.6k kills.. on main account
the hoe is like.. 4k kills.. also on just ONE legend..
and I have 1.6k in total on all the legends. and a little bit on 2nd account
so I though that this game is gonna be less time consuming.. but people just don’t have lives and play this game million hours a day
they don’t do anything else than playing this game.. they get even.. food pumped directly into their veins. (some of them)
so they don’t have to waste their time eating
https://youtu.be/9hlrgjIJMpo?t=5
I hit this bitch for 83 and he’s still chasing me..
I could have full killed him
https://youtu.be/9hlrgjIJMpo?t=2
doesn’t the gold sight have smaller dot??
I though that it’s not gonna use as much of my time..
but it’s just like the other game.
I mean.. people are just.. playing 24/7
and sacrifice their lives
https://youtu.be/u85NpwLXgJA?t=80
https://youtu.be/sEbsgZyLf94
and they still didn’t say anything about the ring damage..
https://apexlegends.gamepedia.com/The_Ring
wow.. it finally says..
under “patch notes history”
“ November 12, 2020 Ring 3 damage increased from 5% to 10%. Ring 4 and 5 damage increased from 10% to 20%.“
so it’s not as new change..
omg... so ring 3 is also impossible
so they changed ring damage back.. f*cking assholes
ring 3 is 10 damage so you can pop a medkit with full hp damn they messed this up
so my syringe strategy is no longer a working strategy
but ring 2 used to be 5%.. but I wish ring 3 at least wouldn’t be as deadly
I will have to be rotating fast with team to the ring
and maybe.. use.. like.. maybe sniper rifle or something..
https://youtu.be/shtceZ5wCdw
https://youtu.be/qNdGEtJDky8?t=38
wingman vs hemlok with 3x scope.. hemlok always wins
you gotta be really lucky to win against hemlock with wingman
but you move a lot faster but if you have cover then it’s very unlikely that you hit someone with hemlok
without cover it’s easier but with cover hemlok would win
https://youtu.be/qNdGEtJDky8?t=510

she doesn’t look as bald as before
lets see how much these cards go for.. I added some ads to watch list.. and now they’re over.. well.. they didn’t go for as much as I wanted..
I mean.. no.. none of them got sold yet.. one had low price but didn’t get sold.. but my card is OC model with good cooling
and other 2 auctions are still not finished yet.. so we’ll see how much they go for. but nobody bought one card that was at quite low price
of course.. it was “broken” of course..
someone wanted to sell broken card for high price. that’s why it didn’t get sold.. I shouldn’t have added this to watch list at all
one card has no delivery option.. so also nobody wants to buy it..
one dude is selling similar card to mine.. but with 3 fans. mine has 2 fans.. but I think that the heatsink is the same as my card.. it’s just 1 more fan.. so it’s almost the same card.. and my card doesn’t get any hot at all.. it’s kinda.. same as my card.. and price. is.. not super high.. but it’s not much difference so my card should be just as good as this one
but my goal wasn’t super high too
this was kinda my goal but he’s gonna pay 10%.. so.. I don’t wanna pay that much.. so I wouldn’t sell it for this much at 10% cost
if he pays 10% then he gets.. more warranty from a site.. that a buyer won’t get cheated.. so buyer feels safer about buying stuff.. I mean.. like.. I don’t think it’s like.. doing anything if you pay 10% more.. it’s not doing anything.. so like.. but he’s selling with 10% so I would want to sell it for as much but without paying 10%
and this one is “a little bit” better.. it’s kinda the same card as mine.. 3 fans can also be a disadvantage.. because it may not fit in all cases
other people who sell this card ask a lot more so this card may sell fast.
I ask myself.. how much I would pay for this card..
I bought it cheaper.. and.. not prices are higher. but.. I take inflation into account.. 5% a year.. and.. like.. but like.. demand is high right now I guess... because it’s near christmass.. and new graphics card got released.. so other ones should get cheaper in theory
but demand is high before christmass I guess
lol this dude put.. 9.99 on the end.. xD
how much I would pay for this card.. I would buy it not on christmass.. because I couldn’t find cheap card before christmass..

why somebody from my squad always pushes first 1v3
why enemy squad never pushes 1v3 but my squad teammates always do that always
and then me and my other teammate go to save him and we get f*cked
omfg my teammates.. what a fucking joke
starting fight with one squad and then starting to fight 2nd squad.
and getting staying in between these 2 squads
fighting 2 squads again on the start. xD
oh. gold 4 in team this time. nice
I knew.. there’s no point of even playing with gold 4.. he died in in 1 second to some dude with g7 scout with double tap trigger. he literally died in 1 second
this gold 4 noob
4 g7 scout shots with double tap trigger
no. it was pathfinder..
it wasn’t crypto. crypto actually.. I mean.. not crypto but mirage.. mirage use this.. invisible ressing to get pathfinder up
but mirage landed on a place with 0 loot and I didn’t even have shield but thank god I had loba so I used ulti to get it but they already had purple shield on one dude..
they had like. 2 purple shields
we all had lvl 1
but mirage did almost no damage
what is g7 scout bullet speed
what the fuck are the people doing
what are they fucking doing what the fuck.. first this dude stands behind all the time and doesn’t wanna push with us then he starts to go solo 1v3
I have someone with 3k kills on one legend this time in team
ok this time we got third partied. welcome to platinum
maybe I should use a sniper rifle I don’t know
everyone with triple take
lol. I don’t understand these plays for real. what the fuck.. why are we leave ring and go in a tunnel to get gatekept.. what the fuck.. I don’t understand
their plan was literally to leave ring and get gate kept in a tunnel
I don’t understand these plays..
and I hate hemlok
hemlok versus triple take is still shit
and I have no idea where these people are.. like.. they are shooting from everywhere..
from every fucking side..
hemlok makes me so easy to hit with triple take.. because of the ads slow..

The 5 things tag, this was super interesting! Thank you so much for tagging me! @thefandomsurfer ♥
5 things you'll find in my bag :
1. Baby things. I don't carry a normal purse with me, I always bring a fully equipped maternity bag with everything my daughter needs, diapers, baby wipes, cream, water, food, fresh clothes in case she gets dirty, toys, among many other things.
2. My phone, I always make sure I have it fully charged when I'm out in case of an emergency or if I need to Google something, take a picture and whatnot.
3. My wallet, I always carry some money with me in case I remember something I might need from the store or if I see something cute for my daughter.
4. A notebook and a pen, I always carry it in case I need to note something down like a phone number, a date of an appointment or just a reference in general.
5. A book, I usually always carry something to read with me, usually it's a manga volume but it can also be just a regular romance novel, a book of short horror stories or a fun magazine, in case I find a good spot I can sit and relax a little :)
5 things you'll find in my room :
1. Toys, lots of TOYS, I have baby things all over my apartment and my room is no exception, also my daughter's crib stays in my room because I still can't seem to sleep without her (I get anxiety when she's not close to me) so I have many of her little squishy, fluffy toys in my room.
2. Manga, I have all of my manga in my room, I plan on moving it to the living room but for now it stays in my bedroomroom very neatly organized, it's very precious, all the stories that I own mean something important to me so it's sort of my treasure.
3. Some of my figurines, I have many of them and they're a little bit all over the house.
4. Candles, I have a little obsession with candles, especially scented ones so I enjoy my collection of cute, colorful, yummy scented candles.
5. Mystic books, I have a few books about mystical beings like dragons, mermaids, fairies, elves, among others, I love it very much, I've always been into magical things, I have a wild imagination and love to day dream.
5 of my favorite things :
1. My daughter, my daughter is definitely my number one, she's the person I love the most in the whole universe. I thought I knew all about love before but when she was born I felt something like I had never felt before, I look at her and I just genuinely, selflessly love her and want her to be happy and safe, I would die one thousand deaths for my daughter, she's everything to me. ♥🐥
2. My fiancé, he's the best person I know, I love him with my whole heart, he's always so selfless, caring, patient, constantly making sure we're alright, he's hard-working, intelligent, sensitive and unlike anyone I've ever met, he's also my best friend and the best father for our daughter, even when we disagree we never fight, he never raises his voice or loses his temper, I could go on and on about how grateful I am to him but I'll stop here. ♥
3. Nature, I love nature, I love taking long walks by the river or just lay down on the grass, listen to the rain and thunder, the wind, how colorful flowers are, everything about it is very poetic and soothing for some reason.
4. Anime/manga, I love reading manga and watching anime, it's always very entertaining, I enjoy the different art styles and I can always relate to the characters to some extent, I enjoy the different stories and morals behind it, it's something I've always really enjoyed since I was a child, it makes me happy.
5. Music, music is a huge part of my life, I'm always playing some sort of music throughout the day, even if it's just soft background music, or nursery rhymes for my daughter, music has always been a safe escape from everything and reality itself when I need it, it's funny how sometimes lyrics can speak for us, all the things we can't say.
5 things I'm into right now :
1. I'm currently rereading Death Note and I find myself falling in love with it all over again, I also plan on rewatching the anime with my fiancé soon, it's always been one of my absolute favorites alongside Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul : re.
2. My fiancé is ethnically South Asian and his native language is Bengali (he's also fluent in Urdu and Hindi which is pretty similar). We're both fluent in quite a few languages which is pretty awesome but in my case I only know European languages while he knows both South Asian and European (he's pretty awesome) so even though I already know the basics I've recently started really investing more of my time in trying to learn Bengali so I can one day surprise him by being able to hold a conversation, not to mention I love Bengali and Hindi music. 😁
3. The Arcana, I recently downloaded this game called The Arcana because I was searching for something interesting to play on my phone and it came up so I thought "Why not?" I've only been playing it for around 3 days but it seems pretty entertaining thus far and I love the art and mystery in it, it also has a very mystic vibe to it.
4. The Death Note original soundtrack, Death Note is wonderful in general and not only have I been obsessing over it all over again but also the music in it, it's just beautiful, I play it a lot around the house all day lately.
5. Fruit, I know this sounds weird but I've been eating a lot of fruit lately, probably because it's been extremely hot and fruit is fresh and juicy, I'm not sure but I've been definitely eating a lot of it, it's my favorite thing to eat at the moment.
5 things on my to-do list :
1. I'm currently organizing my daughter's birthday party, it's her first birthday and I'm a little obsessed with it, I'm a perfectionist and I want to make sure everything goes well, it's in less than a month and I've already got it all planned out so I'm pretty optimistic.
2. I've been wanting to watch an anime called Kakegurui, I've got my eyes on it for a good while so hopefully I'll start it soon!
3. Going to Europa-Park, we're planning on going a few days following my daughter's birthday and I'm super excited about it.
4. Take care of my mom's dog, my mom is going for a small trip this weekend and I'm supposed to take care of her dog so I'll have an extra baby in my home this weekend. 😁
5. Take care of the house, my usual domestic chores, do laundry, cook, keep the house clean, take care of my daughter, make sure she's safe, that's about it. 💛
(I feel for everyone that made it through reading this whole thing, I turned this into a proper interview :3 )

so... i’ve mentioned before a couple of times that i’m slowly (very, very, very slowly) working on my own original stories. and... well, the cast is pretty diverse (which makes sense, since i want to be a diverse fantasy author, duh). since i am but one person, i haven’t lived all of their experiences, and i’d love it if anyone had tips? hell, even for the experiences i have lived; i’m not turning down any advice.
anyway, here are the main characters:
Lev Abulafia– 15; half-Ashkenazi, half-Sephardi; raised in a fairly secular household (mom wears a tichel because she wants to, not because she’s super orthodox; they only really go to the local synagogue for Rosh Hashanah; etc.); autistic; has a crush on Aabir; lives with his mom and sometimes with the Wen family, who’ve essentially been actual family since before Lev was born
Meiling Wen– 15; at least half-Chinese (only met her dad); Lev’s sister and best friend; has known she was a girl since she was two; mentally ill (haven’t quite decided on a diagnosis yet, for multiple reasons, but psychosis is involved); celebrates the Jewish holidays but is uncomfortable calling herself Jewish; pretty nice but also lowkey loves sassing her siblings
Xiuying Wen– 22; half-Chinese (shares a dad with Meiling); Olympic gymnast and martial artist; diagnosed with ASPD at age 19; is the only person allowed to call Meiling “Mei” (because Meiling was afraid to ask her not to when she was younger and now she’s just used to it); likes partying and booze; stopped doing anything beyond weed at 21; pansexual and polyamorous; not super reliable but relatively self-aware; unlike Meiling, she does consider herself Jewish, since she was raised with Jewish holidays and culture as a major part of her life, even though she isn’t religiously or ethnically Jewish
Aabir ibn Isaiah al-Hashimi– 15; father is Sunni and mother is Shia (may change this bc I definitely don’t want to start anything and I’m not super educated on Sunni-Shia relations yet); has an older sister; bisexual; best friends with Thomas, even though no one can figure out why; believes that there is good in everyone, which leads to him trying to help people he sees “going down the wrong path” (like Thomas); plays basketball
Sandhya Ghatak– 16; born in Tripura, India and moved to the States at age 5 because her doctor was moving; has four arms (hence why her parents moved with her doctor); speaks Bengali, Hindi, English, and a little bit of Kokborok; closeted lesbian; dating Alex; fire powers (have to learn more about Hinduism and Agni before I go into more detail about that tbh); really loves makeup but is also very aware of where she buys it from, and is very, very clear about why she wears it (for herself, no one else); student council vice-president; straight-A student; very popular and probably the prettiest girl in the school; high anxiety and probably some other mental illness but I haven’t decided what yet
Alex(a) Howe– 16; closeted trans lesbian; was raised by super liberal parents and is hyper aware of his privileges; only out to Sandhya, so mostly uses he/him pronouns; doesn’t have a transphobic family but is choosing to remain closeted because he wants to be a professional football player; doesn’t like spicy food but is trying to increase his tolerance to impress Sandhya’s parents; had trouble saying Sandhya’s name at first so he practiced over and over again until he got it right; doesn’t use makeup himself but is pretty knowledgeable about it bc of how much his girlfriend likes it; pretty intimidating at first sight but honestly a giant teddy bear; learning Bengali; became friends with Sandhya in kindergarten and started dating her in high school
Jess Cooper– 15; nonbinary black teen; lives with their father and younger brothers; older half-‘sister’ went missing seven years ago; spends a lot of time working with their pastor helping out charities; PTSD from the death of their mother and SPD (Schizoid Personality Disorder - a “secret schizoid”); befriends Thomas after he learns why Aabir befriended him and tries to help him become a better person; doesn’t bind bc they can’t afford a binder; works two part-time jobs to help pay for younger brother’s medical expenses; sexuality currently undecided (I was going to have them be asexual, but I want to make sure I’m not stereotyping people with SPD before I finalize their sexuality)
Thomas Weaver– 15; lives with his abusive dad and younger half-sister Sarah; cis, white, poor, straight, Catholic, and super bigoted; only friend is Aabir; starts off as antagonistic until he overhears Aabir telling Lev and Meiling that he only befriended Thomas because he realized that Thomas fit the profile of a potential school shooter; becomes depressed and lashes out until Jess confronts him and he breaks down in front of them; character arc revolves around unlearning toxic behaviors, accepting others, and open-mindedness; develops a crush on Jess which leads to internal conflict when he realizes he sees them as a girl and therefore hasn’t come as far as he’d first thought
Sarah García Weaver– 6; Thomas’s younger half-sister; has lived with Thomas and his dad for since she was 3 when her parents died in a car accident; half-Mexican on her father’s side; often used by father and brother as “I can’t be racist” playing card; too young to really understand much; likes cars but plays with dolls bc her stepdad thinks cars are for boys only; wants to be a train conductor when she grows up
Riley Cooper– 21; Jess’s older half-brother who ended up in another dimension when he went to what was supposed to be a meeting for closeted trans teens; left before either he or Jess came out, so both referred to the other as “my sister” until they met up again; mother was a white woman from a racist family who got disowned for dating a black man and was hit by a car during a panic attack when Riley was 4; considered Jess’s mom to be like a second mother and was heartbroken to learn she’d died while he was gone; bisexual; ends up in a relationship with Xiuying and Luca; transitioned via magic while missing and worked as a soldier so he kinda looks like he can bench-press a tank
Luca Finley– 21; half-Romani, half-Native Hawaiian; was raised by Roma mother after other mom (I think the word is ‘Māhū’?) was killed in a hate crime; wants to learn about Shaktism but doesn’t have the resources to do so; bisexual; works as a bartender in a club Xiuying likes to go to; ends up in an open relationship with Xiuying, which Riley eventually becomes part of
there are other characters as well (Mr. Wen, Ms. Abulafia, Joe Weaver, Mr. Cooper, Pastor Kim, Pastor Kim’s wife, etc., but these guys are the main characters + Sarah - I’d put Jess’s younger brothers here too, but... this is already a lot of words, and also Marcus and Antoin are both walking spoilers)
