Caitlyn kiramman shoving two fingers into your mouth to gag you because she's making you moan too loud T.T ( creaming my pants. )
good thing her bedroom is big enough to stop the obscene but beautiful sounds you're making from reaching other rooms and ears besides her own. can't have anyone else hearing how good she's making you feel—but bein completely honest, she would absolutely adore to let the whole world know.
“I can tell you want more” her voice a low hum against your neck, lightly nibbling on the skin while her hands hold you in place beneath her. crying from overstimulation definitely counts as wanting more in cait's horny mind, alright?
“shush.”
It's a bit rude to bring a girl to multiple orgasms and tell her to be quiet…but it's not like you have the ability to complain right now. you know, fingers pressing deep against your tongue and all.
her mean actions do have a good explanation though. she can't have her parents walking in again. poor cassandra…finding your daughter with her whole face buried in between a girl's thighs is not the most ideal situation.
THAT'S why the young woman wants you to shut the fuck up. ( plus, it's hot when you get whiny and she feels your hips stutter underneath hers. )
“we can go for a bit longer, can we love? yes, I know you can take it.” the sweet, gentle whispered words coming out of Caitlyn's mouth are a clear contrast of the rough and steady thrusts of her pelvis against your own.
at this rate she might need to push your face down onto the pillow. sigh.

Death Comes Knocking
Tumblr media
AN: Not finishing projects seems to be the norm right now- so just take this lil 1,000 words of Lobo/Muerte x reader bc he gave me brain worms okay? Puss in Boots The Last Wish was so good you guys omg.
Pairing: Muerte x Female Reader
Rating: T
Summary: She's given a stern warning. 'No more of your kind are allowed' so she extends an offer to Death in return.
---
She’s seen him before, on the faces of those she’d loved. Their eyes would glaze over and become empty, void of all animation, becoming quiet and still as they took their last breaths. There- in the right hand corner of that glassy void in their pupils- the shadow of Death could be briefly seen, passing over and stealing all light.
The silk spinner has witnessed this countless times- from the luxury of these people’s bedsides as they peacefully passed, to freak accidents involving one too many drunken unicorns and a travelling puppet show. The world she inhabited was colourful, vibrant and endless- so it stood to reason that in this world, Death himself could be a real, breathing creature.
She just never expected to gain a personal audience with him.
“You’re becoming lonesome, inmortal.”
The woman jumped, startled so badly she lost grip on the white sheet she’d been taking down. A large hand snapped out to catch it mid-air, slowly lowering it back down to her in offering. It took a moment for her frozen hands to accept it, gazing up at the creature looming over her washing line. His shadow swallowed her whole. He gazed at her with a kind of unblinking- red eyed fixation- the kind that betrayed his identity before the suffocatingly still atmosphere did, as if time itself had frozen.
A wolf had entered her garden.
“Hate to be a bother…but when you get lonely it becomes a problem for me,” he continued in his perfectly polite tone. There was a faint, gravelly edge to his voice, but it hummed pleasantly in her ears rather than frightened her.
Recovering from her shock, the silk spinner folded her sheet and placed it atop a waiting pile.
“How so?” she found her voice.
“Well, you repeat the cycle, of course- the one that led you here,” he wandered around her humble garden, taking care to weave around bird feeders and windchimes without so much as a strand of fur brushing them. He moved on two legs like any human, not an odd sight. The graceful fluidity of his movements was alarming though. Deliberate and predatory. He was looping around her in a lazy circle that was slowly tightening. “It’s only natural…everyone’s predictable in a few certain ways: one of them is the universal truth that when you get lonely, you seek company,” he mused, finally stopping before her. “And the company of mortals just isn’t cutting it anymore, is it? Hm, my friend?”
He stood a good several feet taller than her. Not even attempting to crane her neck up, the woman tidied her basket and lifted it as if readying to walk back into her tiny cottage. “I’m fine. I don’t need anyone. They all die eventually, I’m not sure why you’re worried.”
With that said she took a step, only to find her wicker basket snagging on something- a sickle. The wolf practically used it as a fish-hook, turning her back to face him, and this time she had no choice but to gaze down the grey expanse of his muzzle straight into those vibrant red eyes.
“You’re not listeniiing~” he sing-songed in a gentle, cajoling tone full of too much teeth. He tilted his head with a patronising smile. “What cycle led you here?”
As if she could forget. “My creator was…lonely,” she murmured. “So, he made me, and eventually more of my kind.”
“Right you are! And I’m not such a big fan of that. Of your…kind,” a single deadly claw skimmed her cheek in a whisper of steel on flesh. The suggestion of it sent her heart racing. “You’re all so heavy. I can feel you.” All at once the playfulness vanished from his expression, leaving only a quiet sense of malice and frustration in his tight whisper. “The world won’t withstand the weight of too many of you.”
“So you’re here to stop me before I can even think about creating more immortals, is that it?”
“Bingo! My work here is done,” the wolf leaned back with satisfaction, and it felt like the garden could breathe again. Air entered her lungs, and the silk spinner shuddered quietly when his shadow drew away, allowing sunlight to kiss her skin anew.
With his silent warning given, the wolf swung his previously concealed sickle up onto his shoulder and happily strolled toward her humble gate, whistling an eerie tune.
“I’m not afraid of you,” she murmured, so quietly it was a surprise he heard her at all. But he halted immediately in his tracks. She could see his hackles rise a little just beneath the folds of his hood. “I’m not afraid, so there’s no reason for me to listen to you- Muerte.”
Death turned and met her even gaze. His silver fur fanned gently in the breeze, his tail flicking with agitation.
“Oho I really don’t think you want to go there,” light glinted off his sharp rows of teeth, the points glinting like treacherous mountain peaks. “True I can’t harvest your soul, but you’ve seen the life flashing before people’s eyes as I’ve taken them.”
He was suddenly there before her again, tilting her chin up with the flat of his blade. Her body automatically tensed, watching as the black specs of his pupils shined white, two moons hanging in a blood-soaked sky. “You were there, just as much as I was. You know- cordera- how painful it can be. How painful I can make it,” hot, panting breath fanned over her upturned face. Those rows of teeth were now inches from her ear as he leaned in close. “You won’t die, no- but are you really prepared to suffer me, over and over again, for breaking the rules?”
She swallowed. It was impossible not to picture the numerous grizzly ways she’d seen or heard people die.
Satisfaction leaked into his animalistic features. “Heh, thought so. Be seeing you.”
But I…I’m still alone.
Before he turned away, Death seemed to notice her expression. “If you’re really that hungry for company, then find the other heavy ones weighing this world down.”
“I don’t uh- get on well with the others,” she admitted weakly, knuckles relaxing from her death grip on the wicker basket. “We’d be living together if we enjoyed each other’s company.”
“Touché.“ He shrugged his large shoulders, resting a sickle on one with a bored look. “Well it’s not my problem, figure it out on your own time.”
Alarm flashed through her chest inexplicably as he finally turned away.
“Wait-“
“Carajo!” he hissed, glaring at her like she’d overstayed her welcome despite him being the one to approach her home. “What is it now?”
“Since you’re the one who has a problem with me creating fellow immortals- but I’m still hungry for company- the solution is right under our noses, no?” She smiled and dropped her basket to spread her arms wide, gesturing to the humble space situated on the mountainside. “You will become my companion.”
It amused her to see his dark features become blank with genuine surprise. His triangular ears perched upon his head flicked and flattened to his skull as if he’d tasted something sour.
“Cómo fue?”
“You are Death incarnate,” she said, confidence filling her tone the more she spoke. Yes- why hadn’t she thought of it before? This was perfect. “You won’t die- and I can’t be killed and won’t age. It makes sense to keep each other company.”
“You want…my company? Mine?” He shot her a look like she was crazy.
“Is that a problem?”
He tilted his head, falling silent for a long, silent moment. His eyes narrowed, sweeping over her frame as he stalked closer. “…You must be starving very badly, if your need has driven you to beg for me to be in your midst. Only the souls of the suicidal and desperate call for me.”
“I’m not quite that far gone in my apathy for life. I’m 500 years young,” she smiled, offering her human hand out to his monstrously large, silver furred one to stop him from baring too harshly down on her, stopping him in his tracks. “But yes, I am…famished,” the admission slipped out oddly breathlessly, though she was uncertain why.
His mouth slowly upturned, sizing her up in an entirely different way from before. Intrigue, perhaps? He looked just as hungry as she felt.
“Well, well. What big eyes you have,” he purred, gazing at her intently with a wicked gleam in his own red hues.
She returned his smile with one full of teeth as her hand became engulfed in fur and warmth.
From that day on, Pygmalion’s immortal bride kept Death’s company whenever he had a moment to spare.

I personally like the headcanon that both Lilith and Adam were made with both parts, you know, equal-
Eve was made with one set because to Heaven Lilith and Adam were prototypes, and Lilith didn't work out so Eve was changed.
I like the idea that because Lilith and Adam never had sex, so she has no idea that he to also has both sets, so through out time everyone thought Adam just had a dick. That really got drilled in when Lilith and Lucifer met and had sex with Eve.
So it wasn't until Adam respawned as a sinner, and spent more time with Lucifer (Adams still not thrilled about that), that Lucifer notices that Adam goes through all the normal woman things, like having a period and ovulation.
Luci makes fun of him at first, thinking it's a punishment from hell, it's not until Adam snaps at him that he is just in shocked silence. Extra points if everyone else at the hotel hears. Adams loud, and he doesn't care who knows 🤷.
Lucifer: ha! That's what you get for treating women like shit asshole!
Adam: the fuck are you talking about? I've always had a puss, like, since I was made. And I never treated women like shit- I had a whole woman army that kicks absolute ass! So fuck you, clown looking bitch!
Lucifer: ...since... the beginning? But Lilith said-
Adam: of course you'd believe her shit. We never had sex Lucifer- thank god. So she had no idea what I have, now piss off, I'm trying to actually enjoy my beer
Poor Husk doesn't get paid enough to bartend, honestly
Intersex!Adam has a soft spot in my heart, there's not enough of it around *bangs hands on table*
Thanks for coming to my tedtalk 😝
I too enjoy intersex Adam.
Ha! That would be a great way for Lucifer to find out lol
No Husk needs a fucking raise and more cheap beer.

Stories I want to base Ever After High OCs off (an ever growing list)
Hans My Hedgehog (One of my favourite ‘obscure’ fairytales. Already decided her name would be Hannah M. Hedgehog. To fit the design aesthetic of eah she wouldn’t literally have the upper body of a hedgehog and the lower body of a human, she’d be more of a hybrid. She’s a rebel because she rejects her destiny of becoming fully human at the end of the story and embraces her hedgehog side.)
Boy Who Cried Wolf (See my last reblog. Lies a lot but because of their destiny no one tends to believe them anyways. Also accidentally right a lot. Not lying maliciously just doing it for shits and giggles)
The Frog Princess (Because I think it’d be funny for there to be two royals who turn into frogs but are completely unrelated to each other. Also there’s so many variants of this story from region to region that it’d be fun to write this girl)
Speaking of, The Frog Prince (Specifically the daughter of the princess from the tale and the son of the prince’s gayass servant. Princess Girl does not want to be Hopper’s princess but is slightly willing to enact the version where she gets to throw Frog Hopper at a wall instead of kissing him. Dislikes frogs a bit but plays it up as a seething hatred to scare Hopper. Kind of a bitch if you couldn’t tell. Sporty girl. The servant boy is 100% in love with Hopper, like father-like son, and has the iron bands around his heart. Maybe he could be Hopper’s real true love :x)
Pinocchio (Daughters of The Coachman and Mangiafuoco, and niece of Lampwick. The Coachman’s daughter has a pet donkey that everyone thinks is a turned boy, but nope it’s just a regular donkey. She’s a rebel because she doesn’t want to go down the route of her father. Mangiafuoco’s daughter is scary and off-putting, but actually a genuinely nice girl. Would love to perform onstage but she has stage fright and is just so shy in general, so she resorts to puppet theatre instead. Always uses a hand puppet to talk through. Lampwick’s niece is a rebel because she’d rather not turn into a donkey thank you very much. Low-key resented Cedar up until Legacy Day because she believed if Cedar didn’t exist she wouldn’t need to turn into a donkey. Now they’re on better terms since Cedar decided she’d become human in her own way)
The Wolf and the Seven Young Goats (Youngest son of the youngest goat. Really I just like people with goat features. He’d feel tense around Ramona, even though he’s pretty sure she’s probably not the wolf from his story)
Puss In Boats (Daughter of Puss In Boots. Would probably be able to transform between an animal and human form like Bunny Blanc. Doesn’t really align herself with Royal or Rebel, but has slipped into thoughts like ‘if I can make someone else royalty, why can’t I make myself royalty?’)
The Prince and The Pauper (It’s not a fairytale but the books included King Lear’s daughter so I feel like I’m free to do this. I just think designing two boys that look identical would be fun)
Mwindo (One of my favourite tales because of how entertainingly OP Mwindo is. I imagine that his son would be equally as OP and like half of the student population is scared of him. But that fear often gets subsided because he’s not that keen on using his powers like his dad was)
Commedia dell’arte (Not a story but kids based on the stock characters could be fun. They probably wouldn’t attend Ever After High since they wouldn’t have actual destinies, they’d attend another high school. I had the idea of Cedar doubling as the Burattino stock character, and it developed into all the stock characters being based on different dolls/toys, ie Pierrot being a rag doll, Pulcinella being a wind-up toy, etc. Really I just want Cedar to have people who could understand her whole ‘Am I even real’ situation better, is that too much to ask?!)
Two miscellaneous additions that don’t actually align to specific stories; a Warrior Girl and a Forest Witch. (The Warrior Girl is the daughter of a warrior tribe leader. My idea for her story is that it’s an ancient epic that is so old it has lost its exact name, having been repeated so many times. Also, her reason for following her destiny is less ‘we have to or we all disappear’ and more ‘I have to so I can prove myself worthy’. Her warrior kingdom’s society is very different from Ever After’s society, which she learnt the hard way. She feels awkward hanging out with the other girls because of cultural differences, and she doesn’t like hanging out with boys because they tend to underestimate her. She was only supposed to attend for Legacy year so that she could sign the Book of Legends because Milton Grimm would not stop bugging her father about it, but she decided to stay after the shit show that happened on Legacy day. I didn’t base the Forest Witch of a specific fairy tale because goddamn it there are too many witches living in the forests in these tales for me to choose just one. In universe she probably has a specific destiny, or a few, I just haven’t chosen it yet. Very closed off from others. Actually lives in the Enchanted Forest with her mother. She also likes archery but how much of her skill is genuine and is magic is up to debate)
The Devil (He appears in a lot of fairytales. The OC is a girl who is clearly the daughter of the devil, but it’s never said so no one actually knows it. Every time someone asks about her destiny she’s like ‘it’s nothing important don’t worry about it :)’)

Bad Ideas of the Day, part 5, Even Worse Edition
It's time for my monthly-ish roundup of my regular bad ideas of the day from the D20 fanfic discord! Last month's is available here and has links back to all the prior ones because now there's too many for me to be bothered direct linking here!
As usual, these are a mix of fantasy high and other D20 prompts and are open for anyone who wants to do something with them, though I appreciate letting me know because I wanna read it!
Bad idea of the day, class swap (but not like that) edition: Due to a clerical error - namely, their cleric signed them up for it - all of the bad kids have to attend each other's classes for a week, resulting in Fabian sitting through a Worlds Religion lecture, Kristen doing her -3 Dex best to sneak around in rogue classes, Gorgug going to the bard classes that Fig never actually went to, Riz doing his best to remember everything Adaine's ever mentioned about how wizarding works, Fig faking fighting instead of raging for once, and Adaine trying to pass off her furious fist as just being how her anger manifests
Bad idea of the day, abc edition: In the village of Happly, at the harvest festival, Pinnochio enters his infamous bubblegum and whiskey pie and gets himself run out of town by a mob of angry villagers
Bad Idea of the Day, Toxic Masculinity is Undead edition: The adventurers of Solace are well aware of Halloween, because every year on that date the soulless corpses of villains slain in the past year rise again to chase after their killers. Can Fabian keep ahead of both Zombie Penelope Everpetal and Zombie Bill Seacaster?
Bad idea of the day, Figueroth Faeth's Day Off edition: Receiving notification halfway through junior year that one more unexcused absence is going to result in her being expelled, Fig drags her friends into a heist to break into the school, fake her attendance record and show that she's been there the whole time.
Bad Idea of the Day, Drama Edition: It turns out that there's a reason that Aguefort has a theater department. Once every hundred years, a performance must be put on that is quote truly moving unquote lest the school be destroyed, and it turns out that Riz is fated to play the heroine of the most recent attempt. Can the Bad Kids teach him to not botch his lines or hide under the stage?
Bad idea of the day, not all cats are good cats: Puss in Boots must fight off a new contender for children's hearts and minds as the trickster cat du dour. Can he successfully murder this strange cat and his lame rhymes and thing-like minions to keep his throne, or will he be the first to fall to seussian influences?
Bad idea of the day, death stalks you edition: Adaine starts sending out Solstice cards to people who annoy her throughout the year with prophecies of their deaths. Most of them she just makes up, but one or two are genuine every year just to mix things up.
Bad idea of the day, World's Greatest Detective edition: Riz is asked to solve a murder that seems to have all the classic detective tropes he truly loves involved; it's only partway through that he realizes that Fabian, with their friends' help, has staged it because they were all worried about Riz getting bored and spiraling between quests.
Bad idea of the day, I know Halloween was two days ago but I rewatched in the mouth of madness recently edition: The Bad Kids come to realize they are being controlled by mysterious and unknowable forces, and reach a decision: To cut off the flow of evil into the world, they are going to need to find and kill whatever a 'DM' is.
Bad idea of the day, I think we've all learned some valuable lessons here edition: The Dream Team realizes some kind of truly awful existence is sweeping over new york, in which every conversation and conflict ends with everyone having picked up a seemingly valuable but really quite shallow moral to the tale; they eventually figure out that it is in fact an attempt by a powerful sorcerer to turn the world into an after school special on this, a very special episode of The Unsleeping City.
Bad idea of the day, No Really A Starstruck ODYSSEY edition: The crew take a smash and grab job investigating missing people near a remote outpost, and discover a mad scientist conducting strange experiments but also offering great hospitality and food. Can the crew of the Wurst figure everything out before the more foolish of them (gunnie) end up as pigs?
Bad idea of the day, just how sure are you about this new god edition: In the summer before junior year, Fig and the Sig Figs record a music video for their new smash single. Watching it for the first time, Saint Kristen Applebees notices something in the video that noone else seems to be able to see: A familiar tabaxi, hanging out in the crowd watching the concert.
Bad idea of the day, that gum you like is going to come back in style edition: Fig at last discovers Porter's one flaw that makes him a truly intimidating barbarian with an unstoppable rage: Students putting chewed gum onto the bottom of their desks.
Bad idea of the day, ashes to ashes edition: Tired of Fig's chainsmoking cloves, Jawbone and Tracker stage an intervention to maybe at least talk her into some sort of rebellious vice that doesn't stink up the home of two werewolves with strong senses of smell at least
Bad idea of the day, my frog is real and so is magic edition: Adaine grows up without spellcasting ability at all until on the morning she starts at Aguefort, when on her way walking to school she runs across a frog who offers her magical powers she might be able to use to improve her life.
Bad Idea of the Day, You Wouldn't Steal a Car edition: Seeking to impress his father, Fabian gets into Solace's new age of piracy, selling illegal copies of movies, music and apps throughout Elmville. Will the lawsuits catch up to him in the end, or can his amass a horde of treasure suitable for a Seacaster?
Bad idea of the day, unfamiliar edition: At Some Point in the future, Jayhson feels a magical tug from afar and appears due to the whims of one of these 'humans' who has summoned a familiar. Can he kill this whizzered and get back to his family?
Bad idea of the day, I shot the Sheriff edition: Riz wakes up one fine morning in his office to discover Agent Angela Worrel came knocking in the night, and one of the traps his paranoid ass has set up for his office has killed her. Can he cover up this capital offense, or will Worrel finally succeed, posthumously, in getting at least one Bad Kid in jail long term?
Bad idea of the day, foreseeable problems edition: The Hangman gets impounded due to a series of unpaid parking tickets, leading Fabian to argue that the Hangman should count as a pet and not a vehicle. This results in him also getting tickets for having his dog off the leash.
Bad idea of the day, Heaven or Hell edition: Following an unfortunate but hopefully temporary death, Figueroth Faeth finds herself at the center of a dispute between the planes that threatens a war, as Hell wants its archdevil but Rock Heaven insists that they have a claim to everyone who has a rock album go platinum. Will this begin a true battle of the bands?
Bad idea of the day, I admit these are getting weirder edition: The bad kids wake up one morning in the midst of a campaign designed by just the worst kind of a DM, with railroaded sidequests, boring samey npcs, and combat every six feet. Can they figure out what's going on and escape back to Spyre before rocks fall and they all die?
Bad idea of the day, Lost Things and Misfit Toys edition: Irritated as hell at the blue fairy after ending up a puppet again, Pinocchio turns not to his new stepmother for power but instead someone else who dislikes the blue fairy, someone else who believes in the occasional misdirection, someone who is pretending to be the blue fairy's sister…. one "Gwendolyn Thistlehop".
Bad idea of the day, the WORST fusion edition: After she goes on a mission trip to parts unknown, all of the bad kids notice that Kristen is acting… odder than normal. This is because (burrow's end spoiler!) she's being piloted by chipmunks, of course.

Artemiy Artemivich Pinker Theory
how incoherent are my thoughts reduxed
Tumblr media
Ok this has always been ruminating at the back of my brain since the start of TWST's release back in 2020 regarding Chenya's position, not as Riddle's and Trey's friend but in the Queendom of Roses.
Sidenotes: this is going to take from both the original Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Caroll and the Disney adaptation. Arguably, while TWST is very much based off existing canon Disney IP, TWST has also been seen to pull insporation from the actual base fairytales as mini tidbits (example: Jade's Dorm Groovy where he gives Vil the red shoes the latter wanted - a reference to one of the older Snow White ends where the Evil Queen is placed into red hot iron shoes, although obviously in TWST, this gruesome end is not warranted).
In the original Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Alice first encounters the Cheshire Cat in the Duchess' (not present in the Disney film) house, lying by the hearth and grinning ear to ear then encountering the Cat again thrice face to face. The second is the famous Cheshire Cat scene "I'm mad. You're mad. We're all mad here." The third is when the Cat appears (just as a head) when she is playing croquet with the Queen to ask of her opinion about the Quewn. The last time she encounters the Cat, it's because the King and Queen of Hearts, plus the executioner are at their wit's end because they don't know how to behead someone who is just... a head. Alice herself does not know either what to do and claims the best course of action is to ask the Duchess because Cheshire Puss here is the Duchess'.
In the Disney adaptation, the Duchess' house and character are completely wiped out and the last scene we have of the Cat is him causing a ruckus in Alice's trial.
How does this tie back to Chenya? Theory time with a whole load of mixing and nonsense. Then again where is the sense Wonderland.
The theory is that the Pinker family is minor nobility and a a longtime vassal family of a Duchess in the Rose Queendom. Exactly like how Lilia served Meleanor and Silver keeps up tradition (as Lilia's adoptive son) by serving Malleus. Chenya only makes mention of his grandfather so I'm just going to assume his parents have been given the Disney treatment but nothing more than that. Granted, he's a side character so we don't know much about him, so let's just keep being delulu and follow this train of thought. Unless Chenya has older siblings, he's the de facto heir of this maybe nobility grandfather. I'm willing to theorize that despite being playful and mischievous, he was given topnotch education like Riddle, though not as controlling as the latter and had a much happier childhood and disposition as a result. But on the flip note, maybe Chenya feels stifled by the fact he is set to inherit a title he was born into and that could be why we know him as being lackadaisical and a gremlin to others as a way to escape the confines of what theoretically could be demanded of him in terms of decorum. It might also just be freeing on this note that him being playful is his true side he shows his closest friends when he's not being Sir or Lord Pinker. Being in RSA right now also helps because he has quite the freedom in doing literally anything he wants in the Isle that the Queendom might limit him to.
Ok next, we all know that the Clover family were all scolded to hell by Mrs. Rosehearts, but what about the Pinker family? All things considered, given how Trey and Chenya were playing with Riddle, we don't have any input from Riddle or Trey of all people if Mrs. Rosehearts met with Chenya's grandfather is odd. Probably its because the Clover bakery is close by? Is it because we don't have any of Chenya's input given how he is a side character? Or is Mrs. Rosehearts not in any position despite being a well-known magical healer to run her mouth off at Grandpa Pinker that his grandson dearest has "misbehaved". If the Pinkers were nobility, it might make sense (also whatever rules the Queendom has could factor into play) to why she can't lay a finger on them. And if they were a vassal noble family, and the other nobles heard of it, the Rosehearts might lose their reputation. If this is the case, Chenya gets away scot free of any scolding but still leaves with a bad taste in his mouth that that is what his friends went through.
I don't doubt the fact he feels guilty for what happened in the past, even very much aghast by it, but we do not see this fact haunt him the way it does Trey in the Heartslabyul chapter. They're both powerless as children and if theory holds he is nobility and did manage to tell his grandfather about what happened, law would see it as a mother just giving her son discipline and having to go to another kid's parents to sort the matter out. He will not be able to help any further on that matter. Instead in the Heartslabyul chapter as a teen, he sticks to the sidelines but provides guidance to the main group.
What could dispute this theory is either new TWST Canon that hasn't been given to us yet, the fact both Trey and Riddle speak casually together, and the fact Chenya doesn't act like typical nobility (then again, no one in TWST does except for Malleus)
In short, I don't know what the hell I'm actually on and I should get back to studying because why did I really find time enough for this. K thx bye.

Imagine if Stella hired Striker for a hit on Bayonetta. I'll bet Striker's encounter with the witch would go similarly to and about as swimmingly as Puss in Boots' first encounter with Death, with Striker on the losing side!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bayonetta: "A death threat? Really? In front of my martini?" ⬆
Tumblr media
Striker's in for a surprise when he sees Bayonetta being the most expert dodger out of all his targets. (Because he doesn't know about Witch Time) ⬆
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Either way, a moving target like her might make Striker unwaveringly believe that no reward is worth this! That he might, for the first time, go "fuck it!" and tell Stella to find someone else, 'cause he ain't dying for this vendetta and she can't pay him to do that!
He thought he was on a witch hunt, but ended up with the witch hunting him! ⬇
Tumblr media
(Alternatively for fun, you could also imagine this same scenario but with a human-sized Madama Butterfly instead of Bayonetta...)
Oh lord poor Striker. I actually just watched Last Wish so I could do this the best I could so let's do this.
Perhaps he tries to sneak up on her, hearing her hum Moon River (That will come back later) Before she suddenly turns to him making him freeze "You know it's rude to sneak up on a lady, if you have something to say I suggest you say it"The witch states, Striker awkwardly recovering, pulling his hat down to hide his surprise before replying "Your a lady who has too much of habit of making powerful people upset..."to which her eyes widen as she gets up and chuckles pulling out love is blue "Oh, an Assassin I see, well then, let's dance shall we?"
Yeah Striker is way out of his league here, mainly due to two things, one witch time, Bayonetta continually dodging everything and retailating with attacks he simply doesn't see coming, and two her weapons, if Striker brought his blessed arsenal along which seems likely, he'd have a bit more of a chance, but most of Bayonetta's weapons literally have demons inside of them, not to mention she has tons she can pull out at any moment to keep him on his toes
She would certainly toy with him, literally shooting his bullets in mid air and just smirking at him as he panicks, eventually throwing his knife at her which she also shoots down, it stabbing into a wall right next to him which makes his heart race, Bayonetta just crossing her arms "You know, you do have a fire about you, and I'd hate to put that out, too few passionate people in the world these days, so why don't you run along, I won't blame you."She says, Striker looking at her in surprise, truly not expecting that, his hair standing on end as she raises a brow, cocking one of her guns and that sends him running after grabbing his knife, trying his best to keep his tail from between his legs.
He tells Stella off and checks out of that whole situation, except well... While I don't believe Striker would get as panicked or... well traumatized by the experience as Puss was from his encounter with Death, it still leaves it's marks, him remembering it as one of the few moments he ever felt truly powerless and afraid. And he get's all panicky ever hearing Moon River, terrified of ever seeing her again, though he keeps his composure despite that mostly until the memory get's stirred.
The thing I love about this most is I have an OC who's friends with both of them, so Imagine Striker and him just run into her on the street, and while there talking Striker is just scared into silence, hiding his face under his hat hoping not to be recognized, she has no ill intent or hard feelings, she isn't hunting him like Death hunted Puss but still, he's scared of her to a degree he didn't know he could be XP

✨ people I wanna know better! ✨
Tagged by the lovely @roxannes-love-letters thank you, hun!! 💗🥰
Last Song? I got into Sabaton recently (like, two days ago 😂) and went for a greatest hits playlist on spotify yesterday to check more of their music, so the last song there was "In the Name of God". A really good listen, y'all definitely give it a go if you like heavier sound! I sure missed it.
Favourite colour? Violet! Or, I guess most people say purple, but for me it's the more blue-ish shade I associate with violet, and that's the one ^^
Currently watching? Nothing much, I'm not exactly a tv shows person, and if I end up watching one, I usually binge it (which hasn't happened since Kinnporsche: the series tbh), so for now it's mostly gameplays and let's plays on yt or streams of games Im interested in ^^
Last movie? Oh, I can finally answer this! 😂 I actually caught up on three movies I wanted to watch for quite some time last week. The last-last was Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, which hasn't sucked me in quite as much as I was expecting until the back half of the movie (tbf I usually watch animations with polish dub and this I watched in original, so maybe that had smth to do with it too?), but overall a very lovely movie and the ending was *chef's kiss* and two days earlier I caught up on John Wick Chapter 4 (Hiroyuki Sanada's parts were Amazing and absolutely my fave in the whole movie 💗💗 yes, Im biased, sorry not sorry xD) and I Finally watched Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among thieves too and y'all... Y'ALL, it was so good 😩👌 I LOVE IT! You can feel so much heart went into it, the humor was super fun, the characters Lovely, it Really felt like a DnD session in play and Holga my absolute beloved 💗 It actually managed to jerk a few tears out of me too 😂 Overall such a lovely movie, absolutely give it a watch if any of y'all hadn't already, it's definitely worth its time 💗 (Also, I'm surprisingly in the mood to catch up on some more movies, any recs anyone? ^^)
Sweet/spicy/savoury? Hm, out of these options, probably savoury. I've been trying to accustom myself to more spicy dishes too and it's slow going, but so far I'm liking that more and more too ^^
Relationship status? Single. Have been for years, unfortunately 😔 I miss having that sort of connection with someone terribly, but so far, no luck.
Current obsessions? Sad to report Im lacking a proper brain rot rn 😔 It was Astarion from BG3 for a while, but I kinda fell off the game after making a 100h in a couple weeks and now Im searching for a proper obsession again. There IS this new survival-building LotR-themed game but I Really don't need another one I'll play for a week or two and abandon forever, not to mention I shouldn't chip away at my savings any more than I absolutely have to now that I'm not working. So... We'll see if I'll cave in or not 😂 (for now I got Shadow of Mordor on sale so I might finally check it out tonight, who knows!)
Last thing you googled? Sabaton - 40:1 'cause I wanted to check the lyrics (and it's currently among my faves from Sabaton and no, not only because it's about polish history! it's just that good ^^)
Selfie? I'll do you one even better! Look at our lovely pupper:
Tumblr media
It's an older photo, but shhhh, no one has to know! And she's still looking good ^^ (better even, without the eye buggers!)
Friends I wanna get to know better: @dual-desires @fleet-off @asexualannoyance @the-cookie-of-doom @theflowergirl @livingbythewords @oenothera5 (This is no pressure tagging as always!)

Solas wakes up in the strange new world of his own making and it terrifies him. Ridden with guilt, he joins the Inquisition and begins his lonely research in order to correct his mistake.
He doesn’t expect to find consolation in the presence of a human who wields ancient elven magic without knowing it. Who is way too gentle for an elgar’thanelan, but doesn’t know that either.
Solas, for his part, doesn’t know how to stay away.
Dorian wonders if the mysterious elf just enjoys playing with a Tevinter. He wouldn’t expect anything else.
_____________________
Chapter 1- 13 | Right after uthenera, Solas is found by a Dalish clan. This goes well until it doesn’t. (Basically my excuse for world building and hilarious misunderstandings.)
Chapter 14 | Solas joins the Inquisition.
Chapter 20 | Dorian appears in Haven.
Chapter 35
On the way out of the Chantry, Solas dwelled in silent agony, rarely engaging with the others. It wasn't that they needed his comments anyway. The air was filled with Sera's curses that she spouted on and on, at the templars, the dragons, demons, the fade and even herself. She was occasionally interrupted by Cassandra, who tried to remind her of the task ahead, but her snaps came without the usual sharp edge. The resulting silence never lasted long.
When they joined the others, Solas kept to himself. At first, he had his boiling anger to hold on to, but when he saw Madame de Fer among the mages, limping and bleeding out of various wounds, he lost that too.
He didn't realize the hope he had kept in his heart until the avalanche came.
It was punctual. Exactly after Fiona shot that flare, a flaming projectile flew at the mountain. People looked up, praying, begging, praising the Maker, Andraste and the Herald altogether. There had never been more hope set on a tiny flaming ball. The resulting avalanche shook the earth. Solas had to clasp his staff, but his hands trembled more than they should have when he watched Haven being buried whole. Only the tip of the Chantry tower poked out of the snow, as if to mark whose work it was. Then he saw the dragon. It ascended from the valley, unscathed, as shouts of despair rang out among the people. They had nowhere to hide. The explosion surprised everyone. The beast trundled, dropped a few feet and almost slammed into a summit before it caught itself again and fled, disappearing behind a mountain. They waited. Worried. But the dragon didn't come back.
Cheers followed. They were safe, for now. It was all they needed to catch a glimpse of hope on this fateful day. Solas was sure they would tell the tale for ages to come, even though it would lack the finesse of a certain dwarven storyteller.
Sera appeared next to him, her face red and wet with tears. “This stupid bullshit plan didn't do shite! I knew it! It was a friggin shitballs out of arse-crack buttface plan! Why did I let him go? Why did you let him go? I thought you were some creepy kind of friends!” Solas knew who she meant. Sighing deeply, he answered: “He knew he took a high risk. But it was the only chance to escape for these people, that is why he complied.” “And you too!” She glared at him. “And so did you. Because you knew you would have broken his heart otherwise.” She frowned, but desperately. “Right, because he's a stupid, crap-head hero! That friggin arse-demon dragon-puss pissing piece of lizard shit didn't even die!” She kicked stones as she spoke, matching the rhythm of her anger. “But it is hurt. The plan has given us time to escape.” “Us, right! Hooray! Thanks for that, hardhead!, she whined, unable to keep her eyes off the buried village.
An outcry she couldn't direct at anyone else, because Cassandra wouldn't listen and others wouldn't understand. So she went to him, even though he embodied all she hated. Right now, Solas didn't know what he thought of her. She regretted that she didn't die alongside her friends today. A feeling he knew too well.
“I mean, Lady Stick-Up-Her-Arse is like, super important or whatever and you are good with the creepy stuff...but me?” “You are quite a talented archer...” “Pppbbthh!“ “...and if I remember correctly, Blackwall wanted you to kick some noble's arse.” She looked up, eyes wide. A giggle choked her shortly. “You said arse”, she informed him. “I only meant to stay true to the message”, he said without moving his features, but he felt a little lighter because he made her laugh. She giggled again at his stiff reaction and slowed her steps, gasping for air. Then she sobbed. Solas decided to leave her alone. He needed the silence himself.
Being saved by the Maker's chosen helped the Inquisition with the weary march up the mountains, but when the trek stopped and camped, encircled by steep walls and frozen slopes, their patience finally ran dry. Quarrels started about every little problem that occurred building up tents, missing tools, resources, clothes, food. Everyone had forgotten something – or someone while running for their lives. It was like sitting on a powder keg.
Cassandra, Leliana and Cullen, while trying to figure out a plan, couldn't agree on anything. Not even Josephine's soft diplomacy could soothe them. Cassandra seemed to try fulfilling the role the Herald had given her, but the others didn't consent. Solas realized that the true leader of the Inquisition was the Dalish woman that had sacrificed her life for them. The only person these stubborn fools ever listened to.
Eventually, Solas couldn't handle them anymore. And himself among them, saved by their bravery. He wandered as far away from the tents as possible, resting on a rock where he could overlook the frozen valley. He didn't pay attention to the sight, though. His mind went inward. The emptiness outside matched the inside quite well.
Entering Haven, he would've never guessed the tale would end with him mourning the loss of his friends. Because of his own actions. The life that, glimpses ago, had flowered in the prettiest colours was now gone. He didn't even have the means to give them a proper goodbye.
Blackwall, the Grey Warden, sturdy as a rock. The moment they had met, he had already been on the edge of death. Had been prepared to give his life for a greater cause. Hadn't hesitated when he saw that dragon... The thought forced a painful smile upon Solas' lips.
And Varric Tethras, who supposedly had enjoyed his life, but had given it anyway, because it had been the right thing to do. After writing so many heroes...Well, fair enough, most of his characters were liars and traitors, but his favourite had always been Hawke. The Champion of Kirkwall. Who would call Varric a hero now, overshadowed by the Herald of Andraste? Solas wouldn't forget him.
The Herald herself. Solas was still confused by her. Had she taken the mark on purpose, to save her cruel world, or had it truly been an accident? But no matter what side she had been on, at the sight of death she had never faltered, never begged someone else to carry the burden, hadn't brought all her friends to die with her solely out of fear. It seemed that the Dalish cherished elven virtues after all.
But Dorian Pavus... The name alone made a shiver run down his spine. That man confused him even more. Who was he, coming all the way from Tevinter to oppose his countrymen? Why would anyone from Tevinter do this? He hadn't seemed to hate his homeland. Solas regretted that he had never asked questions about him. Never showed genuine interest or sympathy. Except when it had been inappropriate... He swallowed, but the lump in his throat remained. “Flames like feelers, breaking though my skin, but soft and tender...Now quenched forever...”, a breathy voice whispered behind him. Solas winced and jerked his head around. Cole had joined him on the rock. The rim of his hat almost touched his forehead as he stared at the boy. He had appeared there, soundlessly. There were no traces in the snow behind him. Solas couldn't stop staring. Those had been his thoughts.
“He walks unseen. He has a name. He has a form. But he is different...” Cole blinked then. “It's gone”, he said. “You should not waste your energy on my thoughts”, Solas offered carefully. “But you hurt. I want to help you.” “Who are you?” “I'm Cole.” “You said...you were in the fade?” “Yes. Before I became Cole, I was in the fade. But I came through, because I want to help here. People hurt and I can make them forget. I wanted to make you forget.” Solas furrowed his brows. “You came through on your own?” “Yes. Bleeding, crying, thorns in the flesh. Eyes are open, but they cannot see...I was in the shadows for a long time. Now I am better.” “I...I am...delighted to meet you, Cole.” “You are? But I can't help you!” He looked desperate. His compassion was pure. “My pain is very old”, Solas explained softly. “Here are people with younger wounds. They need you more than me.” Cole thought about it.
“Glowing, blinding, needles on my skin...Falling when he let me go...He saw me in the end.” Solas gulped again, but the lump hurt him. He couldn't speak. “Deep blue. Violet streaks. I want to see his eyes again.” He sucked in a breath. It was very close to a sob. “Cole, please stop. His last thoughts were meant to be private...” “But they weren't his last. Green light in the darkness, keeps the wolves away. A voice is shouting...” Just then, they heard a commotion coming from the camp. Voices rose and cries of joy were heard. Solas gave Cole one last glance before he slid off the rock.
Dorian knew he had a drive for impulsive decisions, but running out of the Chantry back into the burning village, he surprised even himself. Of course, it was just the right thing to do. And admittedly, while joining an organisation that was meant to save the world, he should've expected to do all that was necessary. Leaving his soon-to-be best friend to be mauled by red templars was beyond question.
In his last moments, he could've thought about many things, but except for being surprised and hoping not to die before he executed the plan, Solas' face haunted his mind. The elf had said nothing, but at the same time, he had appeared to say a lot.
Most likely, it was all his own wishful thinking. Another lie he told himself. But why not? He would soon be dead. Better entertain himself with a pretty little lie. Better thinking about those pretty, violet eyes, the sharp, but freckled nose and the full lips, half open to say a quiet goodbye.
Should he have hugged him?
Well, he would've made it awkward for sure. And after being almost crushed by poor Sera, nothing could've surpassed that experience. Being liked by elves...That was something worth thinking about. While he followed another elf into death. Whatever he had expected from the South, this wasn't it.
He heard no comments from Blackwall. Finally, the “spoiled prince” argument had worn out. Varric showed the usual coolness. “If there's one thing I know, it's how to get an asshole's attention!”, he bragged shortly after they left the Chantry. Dorian realized that he still owed that man 5 Sovereigns. Well, not anymore, so it seemed. “Looks like it's already working!”, Ellana announced a group of red lyrium monsters that came their way. Dorian winced at the strange, rhythmic noise they made. Their “call”, according to Solas. He missed the elf's barriers now.
It wasn't a glorious fight. The templars seemed to be determined to never let them reach the fence again. Dorian feared that their monster-leader would catch up to them before they would get even close to it. And it wasn't pleasant to dig through the rubble, the blood, the corpses, just to find the leftover supplies they craved. Surviving, surviving...to die at the right time.
They rarely talked, merely grunted a few words to each other from time to time. All combat related. Slurs for the templars. For the Breach. The Maker's underwear. It didn't matter what. Dorian's muscles ached and his teeth tasted like copper when they finally saw the trebuchet ahead.
“Let's make this quick...”, Blackwall grumbled and moved to aim it. “We can't fire before the people are above the tree line! And we need to trap the dragon and its monster!”, Ellana reminded him. She just...functioned. Dorian guessed she didn't think about much either. And she didn't have a pair of pretty violet eyes engraved in her mind. Although he couldn't deny to himself that it had hurt seeing them hug.
“Well, if they aren't taking this bait, they have a terrible taste”, he said with a swing of his hips. “Not to underestimate you, Sparkler, but you know who the best looking companion in this party is.” Dorian allowed himself to look down the lavish cleavage. “You have your charm, I give you that.” “Sorry to interrupt you, beauties, but we're not alone!”, Ellana pointed behind them, from where more templars came. Dorian didn't know how long he could keep this up. He almost fell into a wall of red lyrium that one of those horrors grew through the ground. Whenever they could, they aimed the trebuchet, but that thing was heavy and slow, as if it wanted to see them suffer.
In the middle of the chaos, the archdemon decided to come back. “This is gonna be interesting”, Blackwall said when he saw the dragon shoot into their direction. “Heads down!” Varric shouted and ran. The others followed suit. Dorian caught a glimpse of the odd red energy the dragon spat at them. Red Lyrium? This would've been a feast for scholars, if only he had the time.
The explosion came heavier than expected. Dorian felt the heat first, singing his skin. Then he noticed his limbs wiggling uselessly in the air. The sky was suddenly under him. Then he crashed into frozen ground. He wanted to scream, but got his mouth full of snow. There he lay for a while, panting, coughing and trying to move his limbs. The dragon was still somewhere above him, announced by the flap of heavy wings. “Dorian!”, he heard Ellana shout in panic. When he turned his head, the ground shook as the monster landed and stomped into his direction. “Good taste after all”, he muttered, crawling backwards until his back hit a rock. “Get up, prince!”, the “rock” scoffed and pressed two arms around his chest. “Ah! Careful! I think I broke all my bones!” “You're gonna, if you don't move!” “Uh, guys...?”, Varric shouted from another direction.
Blackwall was so generous to turn Dorian around with him, so he could see the Elder One in the other direction. He resembled a terrifying symbiosis of a red templar and an arcane horror, but twice as tall, with massive claws, red crystals growing through his flesh, deforming his body, and calling. They were cornered, with the trebuchet out of reach, behind the monster. And the way to Ellana free. She knelt in the snow, holding her hand. The damn mark acted up again. “This is not good...”, Blackwall mumbled while Dorian leaned against him, working what healing magic he had left. “He shouldn't...kill her, right? He wants her alive?” The Warden gave him a look. But before they made a decision, they heard Bianca go off. The Elder One staggered, but surely, one bolt alone didn't hurt him. When he stood again, he looked furious. “Greetings from Hawke, you ugly-ass son of a bitch!”, the apparently crazy dwarf shouted at the giant monster. And shot another bolt. “You think I'm too scared to do this again?!”
Blackwall and Dorian looked at each other before they moved. Suddenly, the earth erupted, angrier than before, shaking them off their feet and cracking as if the abyss opened beyond them. Dorian could only yell and push the Warden out of the way before a wall of red lyrium almost impaled them. While they caught their breath, they heard Varric's mocking laughter: “Missed me!” Then Ellana ran to his rescue. Holding her glowing hand against the Elder One, she shouted: “Stand back, or I'll feed you your own recipe!” The giant's laughter almost caused another earthquake. His dragon had been shooed away by his spell and landed somewhere in a save distance to its master. Dorian couldn't believe their luck when the way to the fence was free. But firing would still take time.
“Listen, we have to gain as much time as we can!”, he hissed at the Warden. “You go aim that thing and I'll have a chat!” The man had the gall to smirk. “Homesick?” Dorian turned around, pushed forward by a heavy slap on his back. The monster was too distracted by Ellana to notice his approach. It felt grotesque to hear him talk. “Pardon me jumping in”, he said nonchalantly as if they were meeting at a party, “I believe I picked the lovely word Tevinter out of your conversation, yes? Perhaps we met before? I am Dorian of House Pavus, native of Quarinus. Recently, of Minrathous. Sounds familiar?” The monster's features were human enough to resemble a disdainful look with a lifted eyebrow. Now Dorian really felt at home.
“I bear no mortal name. I once breached the fade in the name of another, to serve the Old Gods of the empire in person”, he boomed. It was probably not a good idea to stand so close to him, but curiosity gave Dorian courage. “I found only chaos and corruption. Dead whispers. For a thousand years I was confused. No more. I have gathered the will to return under no name but my own, to champion withered Tevinter and correct this blighted world. I am Corypheus. Beg that I succeed, for I have seen the throne of the gods, and it was empty!” “Corypheus? I don't believe you're listed in the ancient texts. No...family name? I'm just curious”, Dorian chatted on, holding himself upright with his staff. He saw Ellana suppressing her laughter, before an invisible force pushed him backwards. “Your words are useless, little Pavus!”, Corypheus roared. “Your family once served the Old Gods in vain! Now you will serve to heal your blighted land, or die with the unworthy!” “Huh, healing would be exactly what it needs...”, Dorian muttered, struggling back onto his feet. Then he heard a clank in the distance. The trebuchet fired. With his neck hair standing on end, Dorian kept talking, but Corypheus' attention went to the mountains.
Ellana brought him back, waving her hand. “You want this? Come and catch me, you monster!”, she shouted and darted off to the ruins. Said monster didn't hesitate a second. He levitated after her, spreading his claws. He would get to her. Dorian threw fire at his back. A bolt joined his spell and he heard Blackwall charge into their direction. They would either kill him now or take him down with them. Corypheus ignored their attacks, save for a bit of waving about with his massive claws. “Where is she?”, he boomed, boiling with rage. The crazy Dalish woman had somehow managed to get away. The dragon circled the village, shrieking, searching. In a half-hearted attempt to shoo away the flies, Corypheus pulled another lyrium wall out of the ground. Dorian dodged it easily this time. “I'm here, you imbecile!”, Ellana kept mocking him from her hiding spot and he flew towards the noise, only to find the place empty. This was a stalemate. They did no damage to the monster, but distracted it. Luckily, it was all they needed.
Dorian felt the tremor under his feet when the avalanche rolled closer, crushing everything in its way. They would make it. The dragon would survive, but that thing... Then even the dragon shot down. Dorian ducked, but yelled out in frustration shortly after. The good little pet only went to save its master, grabbing him and lifting him in the air. Dorian cast a walking-bomb at it, but doubted that it would do enough damage to bring it down. He stood right under it, watching it escape as his own frosty grave came closer. He ranted, cursed, spat at the sky. Useless.
Blackwall, the giant lummox, ran into him and almost rammed him onto the ground. Not that it mattered. Then he seemed to drag him away. “Come on...we're dead...”, Dorian lamely protested. But then he realized Ellana was shouting at them from her hideout. Alarmed, he set his own feet in motion, his muscles aching and burned skin whining. The avalanche rang in his ears. Whatever she wanted, did it really mean anything? He stopped worrying when his feet lost ground once again and he tumbled into a pit.
There was a beautiful moment, when his consciousness slowly came back to him and he floated in a fluffy warm cloud of his own mind. He felt arms holding him up. A body pressed right next to his own. Someone carried him. He thought of these pretty, violet eyes and his heart made a little jump. Opening his eyes in anticipation, he found a jungle of uncombed, black hair. Brown eyes peeked out of it, under furrowed brows. “Ah, you're awake. That means you can finally walk on your own.” “There must be something in that archdemon blood that makes you Wardens so utterly charming...”, Dorian muttered when Blackwall put him back onto his feet. “Don't get any ideas, prince, I'm married to my cause.” “Sparkler, you're back! I thought I'll never hear your complaints again!” “Ah...You know I wouldn't begrudge you a second of calm and quiet. I'm just cruel by nature...” They laughed way too loud and too long about nothing in particular. Ellana hugged him, telling him she did all she could to heal him, what gave him the opportunity to complain about every spot that still hurt. It was the happiest time of his life.
“Where are we?”, he asked when they calmed down. “Looks like some old mine”, Ellana said, shrugging. “Everybody forgot about it, I guess.” “Incredible. You happened to find it just in time?” “It's not exactly hidden. You shems just never give a fuck about your surroundings!...Sorry...” “It's full of demons, though”, Varric added. “There were two demons...and a wraith.” “You wouldn't be so casual about them if your mark hadn't saved us there.” “Yeah, maybe. I promise to shit my pants at the next demon we meet, okay?”, Ellana snapped back, rolling her eyes. “But it is interesting”, she went on looking at her hand. “It created a little rift and pulled them in. Like what Solas does, but much stronger.” “You can do rift magic now?”, Dorian asked, remembering the short conversation he once had with Solas. “Looks like it.” “He'll be interested in it for sure.” She smiled faintly.
Dorian then realized that he might never see him again. Wherever this mine went, the others were far ahead of them. How were they supposed to find their traces in the snow? After that avalanche? And after the first moment of euphoria, he felt his tired muscles. Saw his companions trudge and slouch their shoulders. They last best hope was to find shelter on their own.
Very slowly, they reached the exit, along with the blizzard that howled outside. Dorian wasn't excited to go out into the unknown wilderness. But there were no supplies in the mine. They could either die in there, or try their luck outside. It was when he realized how dire their situation still was. They didn't survive nothing.
It didn't take long until the violet eyes took hold of his mind again.
They waded trough knee-deep snow and Dorian's limbs protested at every move. He muttered spells with Ellana to keep them warm, but both of their mana was exhausted. They held hands when it went dark, so they wouldn't lose each other in the storm. Their only entertainment was Varric, who told them the funny story about how he met Corypheus for the first time and failed to kill him. Or else, there were more than one of these horrors in the world. Did it matter? The only fireplace they found was abandoned, with no food left. Wolves howled in the distance. Dorian was about to accept that he would faint here and freeze, without having really saved anyone.
The cave that suddenly appeared before him looked like a delusion. Like the one in the Fallow Mire. Except that Cullen and Cassandra ran out of it, shouting something. Dorian laughed at the ridiculous dream as his vision went dark.

Note
It was a good first episode. There's always some growing pains before they lock down the dynamic, but this was a solid introduction to what's coming down the pipeline. Murph and Emily successfully broke my heart the most. One's marriage is crumbling and the other's just a really traumatized child. Lou and Ally character's are pretty great and seem to have the most plot going on ATM. That voice Lou's doing is such a choice. Zac and Siobhan need more time before we can fully sink our teeth in. PIB is entertaining, but that's all we got so far. And while I'm desperately trying to block out Siobhan's intro, beyond the stressful horror, Rosamund didn't give us a lot character wise. Looking forward to getting stressed out by the rest of the season.
I was a big fan of this first episode! There was a lot of interesting stuff intro'd with all the new PCs (and I really got a sense of like...Once Upon a Time but competent lol). I already went through my thoughts a bit in the recap for the week but here are some more casual thoughts on everyone.
(1) Rosamund: Roz seems to have retained a lot of her princess niceties and demeanor which is honestly impressive considering her entire Situation. I'm wondering if this is going to be a Ruby style arc where she turns jaded eventually or if she's just going be Like This the whole time. A sunshine-y character in a crapsack world is always an interesting contrast. Also, we kind of started and ended with her since Pinocchio was warned that someone was coming for her. I'm curious if the fairy who cursed her is the same fairy that Pinocchio met.
(2) Ger: Brennan does this really cool thing where the end of the world is happening but you're like, "Oh no! This character cheated on this other character!" The human drama stuff feels just as weighty and often more weighty than the life or death stuff. That's how I feel about Ger's whole situation. He's really a dude in need of some serious self-reflection and I'm charmed by how pathetic he is. The issues he's having with his wife are so grounded in reality, even though they involve conversations that start, "Remember who we started dating when I was a frog?" Can't wait to see more of him--and hopefully Elodie at some point too. Where is she Brennan???
(3) Tim: Once again, everything with the Gander is totally messed up. I really hate the idea of accidentally stumbling into a kind of eldritch pact. You're right that there's a very clear plot hook with him and his mission with the book. From the way it was framed, it almost seems like the book has the "correct" or at least more wholesome versions of the tales in it somehow. Or is a gateway to where those versions exist? Because Brennan said it was their town but without the flooding and Jack looked like how he "was meant to be" or something like that. A lot to think about.
(Sidenote: Me and my friend were joking about whether the bad guy this season was going to be capitalism, or the church and my halfway joking answer is capitalism in the form of some version of the Disney Corporation lol.)
(4) Puss: I don't have a lot to say about Puss that I haven't already said in my recap but I love Zac putting his all into his cat mannerisms and I really love this grounded look at what would actually happen after the Puss in Boots story. Looking forward to getting more info.
(5) Red: Yikesssssssssssssssssssss. Emily just went for the jugular right away, huh? As usual, no notes Ms. Axford. I think it's super cool they mixed the Red story and the Big Bad Wolf story. I wonder if/when we're going to get details on how it went down with her grandma because we never got that. I feel like Emily might steal the emotional killshot crown from Siobhan for me this season.
(6) Pinocchio: OK first of all, no one can say Lou doesn't commit to the bit. Second of all, as I said in my recap and at the top in Roz's section, there's clearly something afoot here. Why does Pinocchio’s stepmom want Roz kept safe? And who even is she? My pet theory (based on very little info to be fair) is that she's Cinderella herself somehow but she could very easily be lots of other people (one of the stepsisters is a guess I didn't mention in my recap). Clearly, we're missing a ton of puzzle pieces here so I'm eager to get more. Also, I’m gonna be so mad when Lou is having a super emotional scene and he’s talking Like That. You monster.
One last thing: I'm curious about the timeline here. Since Roz has been asleep for 100 years it seems, how does that slot in with everything else? How long has this plan involving her been in motion. If Sleeping Beauty happened 100 years ago, when did—for instance--the Cinderella story happen (if it happened)?
OK, that’s what I got. Looking forward to the next ep on Wed!

9 Lives too Many
Finally wrote a fanfic for this beautiful movie!
“You’ll be together again one day,” Perrito once said, but the optimistic pup just doesn’t understand—especially since he has only ever had one life—that one day could end up being many days.
Months. Years. Decades.
Puss sacrificed his last life for her. She still has 9 whole lives to live.
I love this movie. I love the characters. So why not hurt them a bit? Especially Kitty? I know, I am in need of my own ethical bug.
I don’t think it was ever mentioned how many lives Kitty has, right? So she still has 9 in this. It’s going to be a long time before she’s reunited with Puss.
He dies on their trip to Far Far Away. This takes place a while after that.
AO3
Finding the crystal cave had been a complete happenstance. Kitty hadn’t even really been looking for the cave but when she did find it, she hadn’t been able to resist entering.
She remembers that Puss had never been clear about what had happened in the cave he’d gotten trapped in and then ran out of, ignoring her and Perrito when they called out to him. She’s confused about its similar appearance to the Cave of Lost Souls; she thought it had only been unique to Puss like the other landscapes of the map that had appeared depending on who touched it. Maybe Death is able to travel between variations of the cave in different locations, not just in the Dark Forest.
Whatever the case, now that she’s discovered a trail, she has to find him.
If she finds Death...she’s sure to find Puss.
The wolf finds her first not long after she treads inside. He’s suddenly standing right in front of her, but she doesn’t move a muscle. Not a lot of things scare her these days.
She knows that he knows who she’s there for.
“Bring him back!” she screams loudly as her tired voice will allow, but Death remains silent.
He doesn’t even flinch when she raises her sword at him. She might not be able to do him much harm, but she can try.
Death stares back at her, like he’s waiting for her to make the first move. Her paw holding the sword trembles.
He continues staring at her, unblinking. Unmoving. Challenging her.
Her sword drops to the cave floor, making a loud clattering sound that pierces her ears, but she doesn’t care.
She can feel the tears streaming down her face already as she drops down onto her knees, unable to look at the afterimages of her special moments with Puss, especially when he had proposed for the second time. She hadn’t hesitated to say yes now that he had changed. He hadn’t loved just himself anymore. She knew that she could trust him with her whole heart and that he wouldn’t abandon their wedding once again.
She still hasn’t taken the ring off. It almost physically hurts to even look at, but she doesn’t dare remove it even though he broke his promise not to abandon her again like he had at the church.
They could have had a whole life together, but the crystal showing the possibility of a family is the worst. She can’t look at their children who will never come to be any longer. Puss would have made such a great father, but her? She doesn’t want to know what kind of mother she would have been.
She wants to be angry, so angry...but she can’t be.
Not when it’s all her fault.
He left her a second time, but not of his own accord.
The pain of it all is too much for her aching heart to bear. She remains on her knees, refusing to look up at the entity before her.
She’s Kitty Softpaws. She never cries—she pushes through.
But her beloved’s passing is something she just doesn’t think she can bring herself to handle, every day without him like a knife stabbing her directly in the heart.
Perrito keeps trying to comfort her every passing day, telling her that everything will be alright, that Puss would want her to be happy and not so sad, but nothing works.
“You’ll be together again one day,” Perrito once said, but the optimistic pup just doesn’t understand—especially since he has only ever had one life—that one day could end up being many days.
Months. Years. Decades.
Every life adding up more and more time.
“Are you okay?” Perrito will always ask that question, too.
“I’m fine!” she’ll usually snap back.
Perrito probably knows she isn’t. He’s gotten good at his therapy dog service. He tries his best, but she’s just...broken.
Because how can she ever be happy without Puss by her side? When she still has her whole nine lives to live without him? She suddenly wishes that she had been as careless as Puss had once been with each of his lives...until his last life.
The last, most precious life that she unintentionally ended because of a stupid accident Puss had to save her from.
“I cannot bring anyone back when their time is up,” Death replies softly, but his voice is enough to bring her back to the present.
Her heart pounds hard in her ears. She rubs at her eyes until her tears are almost gone, sniffling. She doesn’t like to beg, but she’ll do anything for Puss. “Take me instead, then. Please.”
She would gladly trade places with Puss. It’s her fault he’s gone. He wasn’t meant to die yet, but he’s gone because of her.
“It is not your time yet,” Death says, his voice ever steady—like he’s been through this conversation many times before already. “You still have many lives to live.”
Kitty can barely bring herself to whisper, “What if I don’t want to live through them all? Why can’t you take them all now?”
“It is out of my power to do so until your time comes at the end of each life,” Death informs her gently.
“You went after Puss before his last life was up,” she counters, her voice suddenly angry.
“I was never going to kill him. As I’ve already said, I am unable to take someone’s life before their time is up. Oh, believe me, I really wanted to, but...I can’t. It’s actually impossible for me to do such a thing. I’m more like a guide that leads souls where they need to go. Hence the ‘Caves of Lost Souls.’ Plural. There isn’t only one. Surprised?”
So it’s not just unique to Puss, and there are more than one in different locations.
Kitty glances up at him for a moment, indeed surprised at his statement. She knows that he can’t take lives prematurely unless those lives are meant to die prematurely, so...
“So why did you scare him like that?” she whispers.
He had been more than scared. He’d been terrified then that he only had one last life. He realized that he couldn’t be careless anymore.
“He needed to learn a lesson about appreciating life. He wasted so many of his lives and I felt I needed to knock some sense into that loco, daredevil brain of his.”
For the first time in a long time, Kitty laughs. It’s not a loud or drawn out laugh, but it still qualifies as a laugh.
Death is right about that. Puss had certainly needed a wake up call and he gave him one. In a way, she’s glad he had some sense knocked into him. He might have wasted his last life like he had all the others.
Her next questions burn her like she’s been branded, but she has to know even if she isn’t going to like the answer. “Was it quick? Was he afraid?”
Death doesn’t take long to respond, and he isn’t disturbed at all by what he describes. “He was afraid at first, but more relieved that you were okay. His fear wasn’t able to last long and he wasn’t in any pain. I made sure of that.”
It takes her a moment to realize that the wolf hadn’t done so out of malice, but was kind enough to make a swift end for him. It was over fast and he hadn’t been in any pain. She’s thankful he told her that, but it doesn’t make her loss any easier to bear.
“You’ve been feeling lost lately without him, haven’t you? That’s why you found this cave...not because you were actually lost,” Death says, almost like he’s a bit amused.
Kitty can feel her tears trying to break free again, but she does her best to hold them back unlike when she broke down in front of Death upon her arrival.
He speaks again, spinning one of his sickles mindlessly in a paw. Even though he’s right in front of her, close enough to accidentally cut her, Kitty isn’t afraid. It isn’t her time yet, as he had unfortunately reminded her.
“I might not be able to take your lives yet, but what I can do is let you say goodbye. Honestly, I knew he changed and appreciated life more after what I did, but even though he had one life left, he still sacrificed himself for someone he loved. I didn’t expect that. I wasn’t expecting to meet him again so soon after what he learned about life. He surprised me. Again. So I figure I should make a little exception for him. And trust me, I don’t make exceptions often.”
Her heart feels like it stops short. The way he died hadn’t granted her the luxury of saying goodbye.
Death raises a finger to his mouth in a ‘shhh’ gesture. “I’m not exactly supposed to do this either, so don’t tell on me.”
If it means she can have a few minutes or even seconds with Puss, she’ll be forever grateful. A gentle breeze wafts through the cave, and she realizes she hasn’t felt that much air until now. Looking up again, Death is gone. The crystal that he had been standing next to contains—
She runs up quickly to him, ready to embrace him, but her paws aren’t able to get through the crystal. She’s panting by the time she reaches him, nearly out of breath.
He looks exactly as he did before his death, wearing his classic Puss in Boots outfit with the hat and all. The sword is even included at his side. He’s the same size that he was in life.
Puss bends down, resting his paws on the inside of the crystal. Kitty does the same from the other side, the crystal feeling cold against her paws. She ignores the sensation.
So close, yet so far.
All she can do is sob and whisper an apology. “Oh, Puss, I’m so sorry. It’s all my fault...”
He shakes his head.
“I am not angry. I could never blame you for what happened. If anything had happened to you, I would have never been able to live with myself.”
Somehow, hearing the confirmation from him that he’s not angry and isn’t blaming her for what happened doesn’t make it any better.
“I can’t live without you! I still have all my lives!” she screams, her pain once again becoming overbearing. “I don’t think I ever told you that, did I?”
Wordlessly, he shakes his head slowly.
How can she live like this through all nine lives being apart from the one she loves most?
Puss is quiet for a moment. Kitty keeps her eyes locked on him, afraid that he’ll disappear at any second. She had considered jabbing him with that little fact when he’d told her Death was after him, but then Jack Horner had interrupted along with Goldi and the bears in their mad scramble to get the wish first.
“And I’ll be patiently waiting,” Puss finally says. Even his voice sounds patient, but it also holds longing...longing of what could have been. “How is Perrito?”
Too bad Team Friendship had ended before it even really got started.
“He misses you a lot. He grieves in his own way, talking about you all the time, but I never really let him finish what he has to say about you...”
She feels bad about that, but she can’t help it.
“Why not?” Puss asks. He would appreciate his therapy friend comforting Kitty with happy memories of him. He wishes that she would let Perrito help her like he helped him.
She feels like crying all over again. She knows she shouldn’t push Perrito away, but...
“It hurts too much.”
“Kitty, I dont want to cause you any pain. If it’s easier for you to forget about me...”
“No! Never,” she disagrees instantly. How could he ever say that? “I could never forget the Legend even if I wanted to. I’ll tell your stories to whoever wants to listen.”
Puss gives her a small smile. “Keeping me alive in that way would make me happy,” he admits, but then his smile fades.
Something is bothering him.
She doesn’t want him to be in pain, either. “What is it?”
“I want you to promise me something.”
“Anything,” she agrees without hesitation. She’ll do whatever he asks.
“Promise that you’ll live your life to the fullest. All of your lives,” he emphasizes so she understands.
Kitty breathes in deeply. She’s not sure if she can do that. Why did he have to ask one of the only things she’s not sure that she can do?
He’s being a hypocrite. He told her moments ago that he wouldn’t be able to live with himself if something happened to her!
“Please don’t try to become who I once was just so we can be reunited sooner,” Puss continues. He had gotten good at guessing what she thinks. He sounds so desperate that her heart does a small flip flop. “Cherish your lives as much as you can. Find happiness, even if it means being with someone else.”
Perrito had been right about that, about Puss wanting her to be happy. Maybe she really should listen to that dog more often. She shouldn’t be so upset with him for wanting to protect her from literally diving headfirst into a situation none of them could control.
She looks away, tears starting to fall again. “I don’t know i-if I can,” she sniffs, not bothering to wipe her nose. “You should have let me die! Why did you try to save me in an impossible situation when you only had one life left and I still have all of mine?!”
She’s so pathetic; she’s blaming his own death on him when she should have outright told him how many lives she still has.
“I know you would want me to do the same if it was the other way around,” Puss goes on delicately, “but I’m so relieved it wasn’t. I am so thankful I managed to save your life, even if you didn’t need me to.”
Maybe he’s not exactly being a hypocrite if it’s true for him and her. Either way, it would be hard for both of them to lose the other. She’ll have to find the courage to live on without him, but it’s going to be difficult.
The way he says his next words is so sincere and steadfast that it reminds her about one of the many reasons why she fell for him in the first place.
“I’ll admit, I wasn’t thinking right in the heat of the moment, but watching you die once would have been enough to take that one life from me no matter how many lives you had at the time.”
“Estúpido!” she hisses, but they both know she doesn’t really mean that, because he’s her idiot and hers alone. “You’re much too dramatic. I would have been fine!”
“Are you?” he inquires seriously.
That question again. She knows what he’s asking, and she knows that he probably already knows the answer.
Silence. Then...
“You’ll need to take care of our little amigos and amigas.”
Kitty’s eyes start shining again and she places a paw around her belly, looking down in surprise. She hadn’t even known yet!
The echo of purring causes one of her ears to twitch. It sounds like a cat but much younger, like it’s coming from a...kitten? Looking back at the crystal showing their family with Puss still alive, she can see herself holding one of their children: a ginger kitten just like his father, but with blue eyes like hers. Puss is holding another that looks scarily similar to her with black fur and white markings, only with his bright green eyes instead.
So that reflection isn’t only a possibility, but a future that hasn’t come to be yet. Her fiancé’s inclusion is the only false reality.
“Remember, on the ship—?” Puss teases, shyly twirling one of his whiskers. The ship they had taken to get to Far Far Away.
“Yes, yes, I remember,” Kitty interrupts quickly, feeling a blush arise as she looks back at him. How could she forget? If Death is still listening, he doesn’t need to hear that part. They hadn’t even been married yet, but they were both too impatient to wait until they arrived at their destination they never reached—at least not together.
But it had been wonderful after they both managed to get away from Perrito for a while.
She also remembers the storm that happened. She almost lost one of her nine lives, but being the idiot he is—was—Puss had saved her. She and Perrito had never been able to find his...his...
Not even his hat and boots. All had gone, sunk to the bottom of the unforgiving ocean. There had been nothing to bury. Perrito had wanted to make some kind of memorial anyway, but she refused. His friends in Far Far Away had been devastated by his loss, offering a small service. He had been so excited to introduce her to them.
But the only place she could think of that Puss might want to be ‘laid’ to rest is San Ricardo. If she’s still alive and well, Kitty would have to tell his mamá what had happened to her son. She will have to tell the human who meant so much to him eventually at some point, even if she herself is still a wanted cat along with Puss in San Ricardo unless she finds a way to clear both of their names.
After all this time, she still can’t forget his look of happiness and relief when he saved her from going overboard, and then the utter fear on his face as he went overboard himself when a large wave crashed onto them—the realization striking him that he just used his last life. Puss had saved her once before during their adventure with Humpty when she almost drowned and they had both gotten out of it alive, but their luck had run out. He’s a strong swimmer when he needs to be, but he couldn’t have been a match against the raging ocean.
Neither could she. Perrito had to hold her back from diving in after him, using his sharp teeth to bite down on her tail.
But even if she had managed to get to Puss, then what? How would they have gotten back aboard the ship? Maybe in that moment, all of her lives would have been wasted at once. Not that she would have cared at the time.
Because she had almost gotten knocked over the edge, Puss had risked his life and then lost it. She’ll never be able to look at the sea the same way again.
Kitty tries her best not to think about all that, forcing a smile at her forever would-be husband. She still can’t get too close because of the crystal blocking them; if only she could hold his paw, hug him, anything—
“I still like the name Chomper,” Puss comments, offering her a welcome distraction. Of course he would want to name one of their children the name he had wanted to call Perrito before the dog had decided to stick with his original name after all. “Jeff is also growing on me.”
She’s not sure she can do it without Puss. What if she’s a terrible mother? What if she does everything wrong? What if they end up hating her?
“You will be fine,” Puss reassures her. He sounds more sure than she feels. “They’ll love you. You’ll love them with all of your heart and help them grow up to be big and strong, telling them stories of the legendary Puss in Boots.”
Kitty shakes her head, desperate. She squeezes her eyes shut against the cool crystal blocking her from Puss. “No. I’ll find another map and wish for you to come back—”
“No!” Puss argues, his voice sharp enough to grab her attention and open her eyes again. “We cannot cheat Death; I learned that the hard way already. My time is up. I don’t want you to waste your lives searching for something you might not be able to find again. Please, Kitty. That is what I wish. Please do not waste your lives like I did.”
Kitty gives him a small nod, trying not to let her tears get out of control. She can tell their sons and daughters all about their father so he won’t be forgotten. Their children can, in turn, tell their own sons and daughters about their grandfather. His stories will span generations. She’ll make sure he’ll always be remembered. Her children will be a painful reminder of what she lost, but they’ll also bring comfort that in some way, Puss will still be with her.
“I-I love you so much,” he says with a ferocity that surprises her a little, but not too much. Ever since he changed, she hasn’t doubted his love for her once. He said it every day. She should have said it back more.
His voice is starting to break—they both know their time together is coming to a close.
She doesn’t care about the barrier blocking them or how silly it might look, suddenly craving to be closer to him. She wants to feel his fur against hers; it hurts so much that she can only feel the crystal’s smooth surface. Leaning her head closer towards the crystal, she closes her eyes and imagines her lips connecting with his, their passion united.
Opening her eyes again, Puss is smiling at her. Not a bright, happy kind of smile, but bittersweet.
“Promise me you’ll live,” he says again, more firmly this time. He wants to know she isn’t going to do anything reckless. He’ll never be at peace if she does otherwise.
“I-I promise,” she says, her voice shaking. “Please don’t go.”
“I’ll never be too far, mi amor,” Puss whispers, staying as close to her as he possibly can. “As long as you hold me close in here.”
He places both paws against his heart. His image inside the crystal starts fading away.
“Please...” she whispers back, hoping that he can stay just a little longer. If only a few seconds more...but she knows deep down there’s nothing either of them can do.
“I must. I am sorry...just know that I will always be watching over you,” he assures her gently. This is what he wants. She’s not going to try and go against his wishes.
She keeps her eyes on him until he’s completely vanished, as well as the other crystals around her.
All of her special moments with him and what could have been...gone...but still with her. Still hers to always cherish and share with others to keep his memory alive.
Death walks out of the darkness. She doesn’t feel as angry at him as she did when she walked in. She finds the strength to stand again, to look Death straight in the eyes.
“Thank you,” Kitty says genuinely—she means it. She’s thankful she had the chance to say goodbye when others might not always be so lucky.
He gives her a small, respectful nod, but doesn’t say anything else and walks back into the darkness. She picks up her sword, remembering the way she had come in and retracing her steps to get back out. She finds herself back in the woods where she and Perrito decided to camp for the night.
Looking back, the Cave of Lost Souls is...gone. She blinks, rubbing her eyes, but it doesn’t reappear again.
Sighing, she figures she better find more firewood like she said she was going to do.
She follows the smoky scent of the campfire they had set up. After walking for a while, she gets close enough for Perrito to see and run towards her until he practically tackles her to the ground, but he stops himself just before they collide.
“Kitty? Are you okay?” Perrito asks, his head tilting curiously to the side. “You’ve been gone for a while.”
He’s always been worried about her ever since the accident and what happened to Puss. He had been asking that same question more times than she could count, her irritation usually getting the better of her. The same question Puss asked in the cave.
For the first time, she doesn’t feel annoyed at his endless questions. Her anger at him for stopping her from saving Puss isn’t as strong as it once was.
“I’ll be fine,” she tells him more firmly than she’d been able to before. She starts adding the wood to the fire, smiling at him.
Perrito’s tail starts wagging, his face lighting up at the fact that she seems to be feeling better. He’s going to make a great uncle to the kids when her litter is born. He begins to go on about a funny name he had originally known Puss as when the two of them met for the first time at a cat rescue while he had been running from Death—Pickles?—and she doesn’t try to stop Perrito from talking about her love this time. She allows him to continue on, even laughing with him.
She stares down at the ring on her paw, shining brightly in the campfire light. Puss had been worried it was too simple to show the love of his life exactly how much he loved her, but she had reassured him that she loved it no matter where he had gotten it or how little he had to pay. The only thing that mattered to her was him. He’d made her realize a long time ago that a certain special someone was worth more than anything gold could offer.
Kitty isn’t ready to take it off yet, but maybe one day. Maybe one day she’ll find happiness again like Puss wants her to. It will take a lot of time, but she thinks she can keep her word to live her lives to the fullest.
She rests her paws on her belly, turning back to face the general direction she thinks she found the crystal cave.
“I promise.”
...
Regarding Death, I know he said he was going to take the last life from Puss early, but I kind of like to think that he was just bluffing to scare him and that he’s not really able to do something like that. He just wanted to scare the poor guy literally almost to death so he would value life more xD

Today I ascended from this mortal plane and remembered why I love movies and want to pursue filmmaking.
For context, I watched Barbie, and the Miraculous Ladybug movie today.
So, I saw Barbie with my mom, in a theater full of women. The first five minutes, I was sat there like "Did the internet lie to me again?" cause I was genuinely confused about what the hell was happening onscreen. But once I managed to get into the groove of things, I really enjoyed myself. I didn't play with Barbies growing up, and it was still enjoyable to me. It was so campy and funny(thank you Kate McKinnon and Michael Cera for being a big source of that), but it had some pretty deep themes, such as criticism against both a patriarchy and a matriarchy, the struggles of women in society, existentialism, and mother-daughter relationships. Definitely a movie for the girlies, but I think it's enjoyable for everyone.
I think the music was great. My mom hates musicals, despises them with her whole heart, but she told me after the movie that she loved I'm Just Ken. And yeah, it was so much. My favorite bit was the fast paced "Can you feel the Kenergy" moments. I've been playing Identity V, and I use that to hype me up for matches. It gives 80s power ballad, and it's super fun to listen to over and over again. Ryan Gosling did a very good job with it. I can see I'm Just Ken and Peaces battling it out for Best Original Song. Push was great as well, despite being underused in the movie, the full version(which is a cover of an existing song) is very interesting, and lyrically fits the movie so well.
I'm not typically a fan of bright colors in movies, catch me watching The Batman any day, but Barbie is the exception, as it just made certain scenes feel so much more important. Mattel offices being cold and gray, really sold that corporate vibes, and the soft white at the ending with Ruth definitely made it feel like Barbie was reaching a life-changing conclusion. It's a wonderful use of color.
Now the themes are the big draw of the movie. Regarding the patriarchy, matriarchy, and daily struggles of women, those themes are definitely hard to miss, but they do so much good with them. Showing Ken being essentially brainwashed by the idea of the patriarchy is interesting, and definitely rings home for anyone who grew up with boys as friends. I've seen a few guy friends of mine turn from sweet guys, into womanizers as they grew older. And it also shows that a matriarchy isn't good either, by showing how the Kens feel less than in BarbieLand. The Ken's situation is a muted version of women's situations in the real world. The Kens aren't sexualized or hated, but they're ignored. In the real world, both in the movie and real life, women have it worse than the Kens, and feel in a similar position. Makes it easy to enjoy both perspectives. Barbie focusing on thoughts of death and change as a whole hits with me on a personal level, as I have a lot of issues with existentialism, and any movie with death as a major theme usually brings me close to tears(such as Puss in Boots 2, curse you good movies). Seeing Barbie meet her creator in Ruth was so sweet, and was incredibly heartwarming.
Special mention to the line "We mother stand still so our daughters can look back to see how far they've come". It made me want to give my mom the biggest hug, and I'm in no way a hugger.
Then I went home, and watched the Miraculous Ladybug movie because I had nothing else to do. I've been with the show since 2020, which isn't as long as other fans, but the show still sticks in my brain the same. I knew the animation was going to be great, and that the art direction would make up for any shortcomings in the story. And while yes, the plot was rushed (duh, like, how many years has it taken to get to this point in the show? its gonna feel rushed) but the art was absolutely stunning. My favorite moment was from Hawkmoth's villain song, Chaos Will Reign(available on Spotify) when they pulled out the Disney Villain lime green color. I love that color, and seeing Hawkmoth with it made me ascend. I really love the ending battle as well, the use of colors, lightning effects, butterfly textures, was just perfect. The animation was also really smooth, down to the small details of hair movements, such as when Nino and Alya are on the roller coaster, or when Chat Noir's hair gets wet.
The music was probably my least favorite part, just because I think Cristina Vee could've slayed it, and that the songs sounded kind of generic. But Oh My God, Chaos Will Reign had me bopping and replaying it. In fact, I'm listening to Chaos Will Reign and I'm Just Ken while writing this. It definitely gave me old Disney villain song vibes, mixed with the slightest hint of a Danny Elfman soundtrack. It just sounded so evil, but in a way that I can get behind. Keith Silverstein can actually sing, and that note at the end was wonderful. The vibrato gave me life. I was lowkey hoping Nooroo would stop talking so I could hear more. The chanting was awesome, and gave Friends on the Other Side vibes. I was (and still am) a big fan of villain songs, and this is a throwback to my theater kid days when I exclusively played villains and enjoyed it. Definitely overthrew the Hawkmoth Rap as my favorite Miraculous Ladybug song, but the Hawkmoth Rap is like, second place still. The only crime this song had was being too short. Release the ten hour cut.
Finally, aside from the glory that is Chaos Will Reign, I want to say that the two identity reveal scenes were amazing. I'll start off with Adrien and Marinette's, just because I care about that one the least. I think it was a creative way to go about it, with the masquerade masks. Fanfiction wins again. But I have so much to squeal about when it comes to the Adrien and Gabriel reveal. This version of Gabriel was definitely way more sympathetic than his show counterpart, despite committing atrocious acts. I actually wanted this Gabriel to get some redemption, and I think that bit of forgiveness from Adrien is just that. Let them have a good bond, PLEASE! The whole battle scene was just amazing, the fact that Hawkmoth was willing to do literally anything, and very nearly came close to winning. I knew he wasn't going to win, it's a kid's movie, but I was still on the edge of my seat and biting my nails.
I need both of these movies injected into my bloodstream ASAP.
Do I recommend them? Depends on your preferences. For Barbie, I can see why people wouldn't like it, it's campy(in a fun way), and it's anti-patriarchy and anti-matriarchy, which would make the misogynists and misandrists mad. But I think if you're open to a goofy time that will make you appreciate the women in your life, then give it a watch. It's definitely worth it.
For Miraculous Ladybug, it's a kid's movie, based on a show with a big following spanning years. I think it's something to watch if you're a fan, former or current, of the show. If you're just starting to watch Miraculous, it'll be a better watch if you sit through the show. But, it's a good movie, and still enjoyable for novice Miraculers.
I'm definitely watching these over and over again.

Life update
Hello Tumblr.
It's TJ here. I know I haven't posted much lately. I'm a little frustrated about my loneliness. I've been feeling like I've been missing something and that nobody cares about how I feel. I hope writing about it helps but gosh... I don't even really know any one of my followers like that. Heck... I don't think I really know anybody like that.
I've always liked Tumblr because it's been a place I could literally dump anything going on in my life. I don't even know if anyone cares enough to read about this but here goes nothing.
I've been very successful lately. I've got my sobriety on lock. I've quit smoking cigarettes. I've been keeping in touch with my family regularly. I've got a job. I'm getting a promotion. I own a business. I lack a girlfriend and the confidence to find a girlfriend. I live in a sober living home and share a room with 2 other old guys not even close to my age. I'm religious but I'd like magic in my life, not the sloppy fake kind but like ACTUAL magic. I know it sounds silly as heck, but seriously, there's been like this hole in my life that it just fits perfectly into.
I miss the crap out of my 3 children. It seems like there's nothing I can do about it though because through legal issues, there's this shitty barrier that I'm ready to break through by all means. Right now I should be asleep because I've got to get up hella early in the morning volunteering for something I'm literally losing interest in very fast because in this recovery crowd, it just feels like it's got people running around in circles for someone else to take the next best thing of yours while they give away their last. It entirely sickens me because although it feels like I'm bettering myself, it also feels like I'm being robbed of my time and relationships.
It's been about three months since my last relationship went to shit and anyone I've tried anything with just hears shit talked about me because it's the same, stupid crowd OR their not emotionally available. And I'm not about that whole closed off, hideaway until I die alone, kind of life.
I'm tired of reaching out to people and not being reached out to. By the way, I absolutely hate AI. Since AI has been out, nothing has seemed legitimate and I'm tired of fake ass people turning into some sour puss seeping from a sopping wet burrito.
Like, is there something wrong with me? Am I that fucking repulsing to be around? I get along with people at work just fine. My family seem like they love me. And I love myself unconditionally until the day somebody finally decides to love me.
Emotionally, I'm doing so great. Physically, I'm exhausted. I've made it easy for some girl to wiggle her way into my life by patching myself online and throwing myself into a crowd. Like damn, I'm only 28 years old. What kind of life am I living if I can't live a life with a female who's remotely interested in anything I care to do with her.
Trailing along, I don't want to carry my success much further because I feel like I have to find someone who's interested in me while I'm not successful otherwise the only thing that'd be lurking in the back of my mind would be something like, "is she with me only because I'm doing good in life or is she going to disappear as soon as things go to shit someday unexpectedly?"
Trudging forward, will someone just message me and make an effort at a friendship with me because I'm the kind who sticks around as long as the chemistry between us is fair. I'm too freaking young to feel this alone and I'm not ready to say fuck everyone and go my own way just to wind up happy being alone.
For real, I know I don't need anyone but God in my life. I care enough to post something about myself and hope someone gives 2 shits and a half about putting in their two cents out of the kindness of heart.

Who's your favourite OC of yours and why? =]
Killing me with the hardest question possible i see...... dgfhdgdjhdf
Really though that is super hard, i have wayyy too many ocs and my favorite sort of swaps around every few months or so. sometimes it just cycles between the same few for a year or two though.
I would sayyyy right now? Probably anybody from Mary's whole squad. Which would be her (Mary-Anne Cassia), Samiel, Roberto Yun-Capo, Hale-Bopp, Puss in Boots (aka Danyel Mewette), and Winter Adams. All of them are here in this photo! (Hale in the star, Winter in the heart, Roberto in the triangle, Puss in the square, Mary in the circle, and Samiel in the..whatever you call that shape. He has the gun)
Tumblr media
To narrow it down even further, specifically my top 4 are hale, mary, puss, and roberto. And then out of that Mary and Puss are probably the two im currently most focused on (but again the whole cycling thing applies here ahjgdjhfg for all i know next week ill be back into being obsessed with roberto)
I like them mostly because they're my first ocs that are actually in a sort of sci-fi setting, which is something i always wanted to do but struggled to! But then i watched Wander Over Yonder again and i was like damn....i could do this but with insane people.
All of them except for Hale-Bopp started off as either Lobotomy Corp OCs or just straight up LC characters that i just..yoinked and changed up a bit, because me and my girlfriend have a Lobotoym Corp rp and their personalities had developed enough to basically not be themselves as they were at the beggining anymore. Samiel was Der Freischutz, and Puss in Boots is.....Puss in Boots. Although he was never actually in the game, he was cut content that we decided to bring in for the rp, so everything about him is still, essentially, about 90% my own creation, since the only thing he had in his cut content was art and some flavor text.
I really like Mary in particular because i think she is just, a horrible human being, but in an interesting and somewhat sympathetic way. Which is something done a lot I know, but i mean hey there's a reason those sorts of characters get so popular ajhgdhj. She does awful things and doesn't let herself open up genuinely to anybody, but she's masks all of it under multiple layers of joking around and being weird in general. She's extremely emotionally stunted, refuses to allow herself to experience genuine connection despite desperately wanting it, and she makes this into everyone's problem. But she's very good at what she does, and extremely competent in other aspects, which is what manages to keep the whole group together.
Puss in Boots on the other hand, is also an emotionally stunted character but in a different form. It's not quite as bad as Mary, who can't handle emotions in herself nor with others very well. Instead Puss mostly struggles with handling his own thoughts and feelings while being excellent with other people. Sort of. He's great at reading people, and he isn't dumb, he often has great advice, but what he is, is PUSHY. He doesn't know how to let things happen naturally, and so often makes things worse instead before theres any progress. I think that the dynamic between him and his (unwillingly, on Puss's end) estranged brother is fun to explore. He has a very strong sense of justice and has lots of conflict with Mary, because she's one of the few people who he can't read very well (Samiel being another one, but he's still easier than Mary) He can't tell if he despises Mary or if he's just concerned for her, and it keeps him around on the ship out of fascination, like a pet project. He hates everything about most of the crew (except winter, and somewhat okay with Roberto) he hates their behavior, their jobs (3/6 of the crew being hitmen/assassins) and most of all he can't stand their morals, or lack thereof.
It'd be a LOT to go into further detail ajhgdhjdf so i think this will do fine as a start bc its. um. 7AM where i am and i have not slept. Oops! But if you want to ask any further questions about them i have most of their info on my website!! (except samiel, who's page i have not finished yet. it's mostly finished, just that his backstory page only has the TLDR section filled in and not in full) https://kittymanya.neocities.org/art/ocs/oclanding
I can't link directly to their pages bc i set up my site weird and im not sure how to fix it really without recoding the whole page, but if you go to the 'sintane' tab theyre all in the first section! They're the first 6 characters that show up in the list. So theres a lot more info there and if you have any more specific questions about them i would LOVE to rant about them :D
