Update:

♦️ I convinced the doctor and nurses to off themselves. Took the battered lute he had. Went to wake up Art and talk to him. Halsin is now at the Last Light Inn waiting for me to meet him by the water.

♦️ Currently doing the Shar trials for bbg ShadowHeart 😂 I did Faith-Leap Trial & Soft Step Trial, gotta do the last one (where tf is it lol)

♦️ Met the Golden Woman, tried many times and many different ways to get around her, kept dying. sis got like 500 health 😭

♦️ Where do i find camp supplies? I been looking everywhere and i basically cleared out the Last Light Inn for supplies 😭

some moments in bg3 feel fated because both times i killed Gortash, Karlach got the final blow, and the same thing with Astarion, he was the one who killed his master. good for them, good for them

Tonight's misadventures: I've recruited Minthara on this Astarion origin run and I brought her along to face the Thorms. Tragically, Shadowheart triggered the Gerringothe convo and her miserable +1 to Persuasion didn't do it, even with as much inspiration as I could spare. In the ensuing fight, both Astarion and Minthara got turned to gold, but not before Gerringothe hit Astarion for 637 damage (he was holding 12k gold). :(

That was bad enough, but once that fight was done and we made it into the back room, I had Astarion break the statue of her out of spite. Hilarious, right up until it fell over, through the floorboards, and down the level below, taking Karlach and Minthara with it on the way down.

I honestly don't know why she's sticking around at this point. (As an aside, I'm realizing typing this that I forgot to actually jump down there and loot. Both Minthara and Karlach jumped back up immediately with their thighs made of steel springs, and I got distracted with the little gold bits scattered around the map! I'll head back tomorrow and finish the loot.)

Even more tragically, Minthara then triggered on Malus Thorm, and despite her very good CHA she couldn't make all the checks & we had to fight them too. Astarion did finally push everyone aside and get there first on the Thisobald one, though, and was successful in talking him out of existence.

Look at how mad he is to be playing this lute.
