i am seeing all of the criticism of watchertv (and agreeing of course - it's entirely tone deaf and un-conducive among other things) but i feel as though the attitude i am seeing from a lot of people online involve absolving shane entirely, saying things like, "shane blink twice if they made you do this!" "shane "eat the rich" would never allow this!" "he was forced into this!" and redirecting all of the blame unto ryan and steven - mostly steven - saying that steven is the "ned fulmer of watcher" (wild thing to say) and delegating the responsibility of this decision entirely onto the two of them, and i cannot help but feel like there is an undeniable racial undertone to this rather vitrolic pivot. i understand being a fan of shane - i myself was a proud shaniac! - but i plead that we be conscious about woobifying an adult man who - though could have very well opposed the decision - was still one of the three ceos who okayed it! nothing is gained from scapegoating the two asian men and relinquishing the white one for the hate that this business venture is garnering. please, by all means, continue to criticize, but if you are, do it tastefully, and be careful with insinuations - especially without knowing the intricacies of the situation (and even if/when we do know something. criticism should never come from veiled bigotry) ! just because the property itself is shifting rather horribly doesn't mean we as watcherinas need to turn our community toxic <33

Bath time! Unfortunately.
I sometimes had this thought that Young Thaddeus sometimes smells bad like in general 💀…also..because I head cannon in my AU that Thaddeus travels a lot so..practically he has…No place to shower or bath so he just…does it when he can in somewhere he’s able to do it, 😭 THE UNDERTOW CAVERN.
Granted I remember that place is inhibited by pirates, so I would guess Thaddeus would practically do his best to avoid them or fight one off if he had the energy, and I’m guessing the water IS NOT the cleanest too😭..it’s sea water so..Thaddeus wouldn’t bath in it for long, but hey, you got to do what you have to, to not smell…horrendous I guess? 💀 This would also be before Will tells him he can stay over in the Shane hideout too, so it was just baths at the sea water for him. -.-
I don’t think Thaddeus enjoy’s the baths as well..also because the water isn’t the cleanest I presume, it’s sea water ☝️
Will joins him a few times, because I’m sure he probably likes swimming so he’d take that as a chance to spend some time with Thaddeus and swim! Thaddeus takes it serious though and tries and at least like wash Will or something like his hair when they make conversation.
Take this as you will…🙏
I finally drew these guys after a long while 😭

my 1 (one) stardew opinion is shane should not have won the bachelor poll
#stardew valley#like i love shane but his storyline is not improved by him being a marriage canidate#if anything his bland post-marriage dialogue and 14 heart event dampen the message#and clint would have been a GREAT bachelor#linus not so much because he would have suffered from the same post-marriage dialogue dampening as shane#and he's too much of a free spirit to be tied down to your farm#like maybe he'd have a similar romance path as krobus? like you don't get MARRIED married but you have a commitment ceremony!!!#and the wizard... need to be in a love square with the witch and caroline...#his hidden dialogue. the situation with abigail. his adulterous past. his condescending behavior towards the player.#i also don't think he'd marry the player though. would probably make you soul bonded or something#maybe it increases your health or smth? and if you get divorced your health gets cut in half for like a week while you slowly recover#idk i really like the idea of him cursing you if you divorce him. 'not a very mature way to express anger' my ass#clint... i need to marry him...#there's a mod which makes his storyline WAYYY too similar to shane for my liking#with him going to therapy and stuff#but it DID make him realize being around emily makes him uncomfortable which i really like#i think a good route for him to go down would be him recognizing that what he feels for emily is not love or even desire#it's anxiety. emily is nice to him which makes him uncomfortable because no one is nice to him#which he confuses for attraction and he confuses her kindness for reciprocation#i think if emily ever asked him out he would turn her down#like emily would come up to you and be like 'hey i realize clint has a crush on me and i think it's really sweet so i'm gonna ask him out'#and then she does and he just goes 'O-O erm... no thank you...'#which confuses emily but she accepts being turned down and later on#clint talks to you about it like 'i thought that was what i wanted but her asking me out made me really uncomfortable and i don't know why'#and in a romance route he gets with you specifically because you make him feel calm :)#originally i wanted to say this was my most controversial stardew opinion but a LOT of people hate shane. so#also emily shouldn't have won the poll either!!!#sandy would have been a MUCH better option to flesh out her character and the desert more#marnie would have been interesting considering her relationship with mayor lewis#and i hate penny so i would fuck her mom out of spite lmaoooo

I’ve been obsessed, obsessed, obsessed with Raisha for a while now. I know you’ve said little things about her in the past and i want to know what’s up with her/Gerathon if you’d be willing to talk about it.
I really like Raisha as a character, too! We know so little about her, but in my opinion, she's one of the most fascinating characters in the series. Unfortunately, she meets a sad end in A Revised History of Erdas.
All we know about Raisha post-infection is that she was present at the final battle in The Burning Tide, still under Zerif's control and in pretty bad shape. She vanishes off the grid after that, never mentioned again, not even in the concluding montage of Great Beast summoners reuniting with their fallen spirit animals. My retelling offers some closure, but not the good kind.
In my version of events, Raisha is flanking Zerif when he emerges from the ship with his Great Beasts. Zerif, in an act of cruel irony, saw fit to keep Raisha by his side even in her mindless, infected state. Shane, up in the archers' keep with Abeke, hardly recognizes the girl who helped steal Halawir months earlier. Later, she reappears to restrain Abeke when Zerif brings the defeated Redcloak forces to the Wyrm. When the Wyrm is killed and the parasites lose their power, though, Raisha collapses to the ground and doesn't get back up. The Wyrm had pushed her finite body to an extent that it couldn't recover from. Many people and animals in Zerif's army are the same; their possession eventually killed them. The Wyrm was a child playing with toys, the mechanics of which it couldn't possibly understand. Thankfully for it, its parasites could go on controlling a body in the event of an untimely death. Indeed, Stead raises the possibility that Raisha had been dead for some time, and the parasite was only animating a corpse.
Like I've said before, I didn't do this out of dislike for Raisha or anything like that. She was ultimately another victim of Zerif -- a young, lonely, impressionable girl he took advantage of -- and didn't deserve anything that happened to her. I'll always support AUs where she is alive and well. In my eyes, though, her story was always meant to end in tragedy. By the time she realized her mistake and reached for the light, it was too late.
Gerathon, after reemerging in Southern Zhong and feeling the loss of her human partner, disappeared into the brush and is currently at large. She is only an adolescent cobra at the moment, hardly a threat... but the Great Beasts are growing, and Gerathon's time will inevitably come again. (I like the idea of her becoming a maneater as she slowly regains her former size and power, terrorizing the locals and gaining a place in their legends.) Who knows how she feels about losing Raisha. I expect, under the excruciating pain that may one day drive her to madness, there is a sweet sense of relief.
#sorry this took so long to get out!#i've said it before but i do not think gerathon would take kindly to being a spirit animal and absolutely nothing can change my mind#if raisha hadn't died of her own accord gerathon would have ended up killing her to escape the confines of their bond#i've talked before ab how interesting it would be to delve deeper into how the great beasts feel ab being spirit animals#no longer independent‚ now bound#even if they love the children they are bonded with‚ do they ever wish to be free? would they leave them behind if given the chance?#i can sort of accomplish this with gerathon‚ who actually loses her human partner#although her feelings ab it are not as complex as the others' might be bc there is simply no way she would accept being tethered to a human#gerathon who once controlled a whole army of people like they were ants would never‚ and i mean never‚ endure a partnership with one#the others all might. even kovo and halawir might come to love theirs. but not her. never her#fun fact: long before i envisioned path of the heroes‚ i had a very different concept of a fourth arc that had raisha as the villain#(truthfully it was gerathon manipulating her)#this was a next gen arc so the four heroes and all the great beast summoners were adults. their kids were the protags#in fact raisha's own daughter was one of these protags#crazy times lol#maybe at some point i'll share those very old plans. it's all hilarious and nonsensical bc i was 13 but#it paved the way for path of the heroes and for that i am eternally grateful. my sacred texts#text#asks#a revised history of erdas#spirit animals#spirit animals books#spirit animals series#raisha#gerathon#zerif#the wyrm#abeke#shane#stead

Oh, nothing, just thinking about Talon being the only one that can withstand Drina's temper tantrums without any negative feelings toward her and Drina hating her for it and wanting her to stay at the same time, but she knows it's inevitable that Talon will walk away someday because how could Talon want to stay with someone so toxic so she lashes out more to hide the hurt which makes Talon more determined to stay. Don't you see they're a cycle of toxicity. Don't you see. Don't you see how the cycle could have never ended without the Bile, and now Talon can't reconcile her feelings about the Bile because how could it be bad when it fixed her relationship to Drina by dampening her cruelty, yet every time she looks in the mirror she's forced to face the fact that the Bile has punished her. Yet at the same time, she's very, very wrong, because the Bile didn't fix Drina, it made her worse. Drina's cycle was destined to continue, around and around again and again, until the day she died. Don't you see. Don't you see how Drina's death wasn't just a tragedy, but a triumph in its own way. Don't you see how Drina could never return to the girl she was before she summoned her spirit animal in life, so Talon would have to reassure herself that she'd at least be that innocent girl again in death.

Hi king, can you rank your favorite Redcloaks from best to worst
-definitely not a Redcloak who wants to know if I’m your favorite
Ah, unfortunately, I do not do rankings. The last time I did, I got in trouble for giving Abeke the top spot. However, let’s just say that some Redcloaks are . . . more attuned to my personality.
Stead, of course, is one of these. He’s quite stubborn sometimes and I wish he would lighten up a little when we tease him by calling him Crown. But he’s very loyal. And he’s really good at my dance moves, almost as good as me. He also complained the least when I proposed the idea. And he even got me a new set of ruby earrings for my birthday! Rollan claims that this is “practically bribery” that’s part of a “corrupt organization” since I tend to go a little less hard on him when he disobeys my orders because of this, but I disagree.
Next is Jolt. I think he’s probably the one of us that is most likely to have switched sides during the war itself. He seems to have a strong sense of morals that would have, sooner or later, led him to the correct side. But I don’t like the way he draws crocodiles all over the page when he sends me messages. He might think it’s funny, but it’s actually disrespectful. Also, his handwriting is absolute shit. I once had to ask Shadow what he’d written because I couldn’t decipher it.
Shadow and Howl can be nuisances, but they're very good fighters. Although Howl is terrible at the game Statue. Shadow also loves to come up behind me while I'm cooking and scare the shit out of me, which I am not a fan of. However, they are also very good at running errands efficiently, which I like.
Ever since Talon spread that vile cartoon about me, she hasn't been my favorite. I've had many a talk with her, but all she does is aim her crossbow at me and pretend to shoot me, which is completely unacceptable behavior. She's also taken to calling me "Crocoboy" which I don't like, and nobody will help me come up with an equally insulting nickname for her, which I find utterly unfair. However, she's an awesome shot and one time, I had to go on a mission alone with her and she's completely hilarious. Honestly, it's a bit dangerous, since my laughing almost gave our position away one time. But she has a way of lightening the mood in a way that nobody else can.
Ah, Worthy. I don't hate him, I really don't. He just gets under my skin sometimes. Always smirking (especially when Abeke's around) and I don't like the way he likes to make commentary while I'm giving important, inspiring speeches. It really disrupts the mood I'm trying to create. But he's also one of the only Redcloaks to say nice things behind my back. I once asked Abeke what he said to her about me when I sent him on that bond token mission, and she said that he praised me and called me an amazing, organized leader.
Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is all my Redcloaks have their good and bad sides, and this is just a handful of the total count. Some have good sides that gel well with me and bad sides that are forgivable, while some others . . . not so much. But they're all amazing! Whoever you are, dearest anonymous Redcloak, you can rest assured that I like you just fine, even if you aren't my favorite!

Is Hugo a fictional replica of the real Schienenzepellin as the real one was scrapped for the German war effort?
Yes he is. Despite the og version being a faceless one, he was still “alive” but unable to communicate through a mouth and face (being an inanimate machine was difficult)Hugo is currently at the Earl’s Museum. His driver and creator, a Mr. Franz von Huss is the grandfather of a certain Luther von Huss, one of the overarching antagonists in my au (he’s still alive as of now I’m taking him from stories of sodor alongside the other humans and doing so much more with them) though both are woefully unaware of this.
He was still built a few years after the war and Daisy felt quite threatened over him due to him being slick and modern though they have made amends, and he participated in the International Great Railway Competition with Axel.

Tell him it's from the one that keeps trying to plant grass in jojamart.
Im so glad Shane has people that care for him. Thats such a kind gesture.. don't worry about it this ones on the house.
You tend to learn alot about your regulars. Intoxicated or not "Bar counter therapy" is quite a common occurance in the valley. I learned alot of things about my friends and neighbors from them venting out there sorrows once I took this job.. im sure Gus has too. And let me tell you, Shane needs friends like you.
Ill be sure to tell Shane its from you! He may be a bit grumpy about it but dont let it fool you he will appreciate your kindness. (But.. maybe not your peculier green thumb.)
