As an artist or writer, create a piece featuring any of the male canon characters of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines to be featured in a zine!

Artists can also apply to have their posters included in a free modpack to download and use in-game! Link to the download will be posted on Tumblr when it's ready.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

This is an open event where anyone can join and post without applying! Apart from the following guidelines, the sky's the limit as to how many pieces you submit, what characters you create for, and what themes you use! Submit your pieces via Tumblr using the tag #VTMBpinup2025 for the zine! OPTIONAL: Submit the following form if you would like to include your art piece in the modpack: https://forms.gle/vLa16bZLCdFRNQav8 If you do not submit the form, your art will not be included as we need your clear consent. CONTENT GUIDELINES This event only covers male canon characters* from the video game Bloodlines. No ladies or OCs this time, sorry! Work must be R-Rated or 17+ at most. Strictly No NSFW!

Suggestive posing and partial nudity allowed

Spicy clothing and props allowed

No full nudity or explicit depictions of sex

Non-suggestive SFW works are also allowed!

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Writing pieces should be at least 500 words. The limit is 2 full pages including 10 pt font, spaces, and breaks with a 1 inch border.

Art pieces must be submitted digitally, either native or scanned.

Art must be in aspect ratio 1:2 vertical and 72 dpi. Some sizes include 450pt x 900pt, 900pt x 1800pt

No AI generation on either writing or art.

No hateful content (i.e slurs, hate groups) allowed

Pieces that don't meet submission guidelines will have revisions requested or be rejected from the zine and modpack.

SCHEDULE

Event starts August 15th.

Deadline for all submissions is October 15th.

Late October - Early November: Release of the Zine and modpack!

ADDITIONAL INFO

More than one character can be featured in a piece at a time. This means shipping or shared space pieces are allowed.

We expect to see a lot of repeat characters like LaCroix and Nines from multiple creators. This is okay! The more the merrier.

We also encourage you to cover more minor and niche characters like Knox and Vandal. Variety is the spice of life!

Writers and artists are allowed to collaborate on a joint 2-page spread in the zine.

Share with your friends outside Tumblr! Anyone is welcome to join. You can post here on their behalf or they can DM us on Discord for us to post and tag them.

Mozilla, in its finite wisdom, embedded LLM bots into recent versions of Firefox for the vitally-important purpose of… naming tab groups. Now, some users are noticing CPU and power usage spikes caused by a background process called Inference.

Ugh. Reminder again for Firefox users to visit your about:config page, search for the browser.ml.chat.enabled key, and set that to false:

If yours says true then double-click it until it reads false.

Doing that turns off the AI chatbot features in Firefox, but also the stupid new LLM tab-naming feature that's rolling out.

being anti ai is making me feel like in going insane. "you asked for thoughts about your characters backstory and i put it into chat gpt for ideas". studies have proven its making people dumber. "i asked ai to generate this meal plan". its causing water shortages where its data centers are built. "ill generate some pictures for the dnd campaign". its spreading misinformation. "meta, generate an image of this guy doing something stupid". its trained off stolen images, writing, video, audio. "i was talking with my snapchat ai-" theres no way to verify what its doing with the information it collects. "youtube is impletmenting ai based age verification". my work has an entire graphics media department and has still put ai generated motivational posters up everywhere. ai playlists. ai facial verification. google ai microsoft ai meta ai snapchat ai. everyone treats it as a novelty. every treats it as a mandatory part of life. am i the only one who sees it? am i paranoid? am i going insane? jesus fucking christ. if i have to hear one more "well at least-" "but it does-" "but you can-" im about to lose it. i shouldnt have to jump through hoops to avoid the evil machine. have you no principles? no goddamn spine? am i the weird one here?

i feel like no one really wants to hear that sleep/exercise/nutrition/hydration are major factors in treating mental health issues bc we’ve all talked to that person who thinks your depression would be cured by one good session of goat yoga or whatever but unfortunately they do help and i’m chronically annoyed about it
