I tried the first episode a while back and didn't quite get into it, but I think you've just convinced me to give it another shot

honestly I didn’t totally love the first episode either, I was just... idk, stressed and bored and Netflix showed me the shiny NEXT EPISODE button, so I kept watching anyway? (also I have an unreasonable love of the time loop trope, so that helped as well)

but I found myself getting significantly more invested as I went on, and I’m glad I stuck with it!

What's been your favorite part of the experience of making a podcast (so far)?

i think just watching all the pieces come together to form this finished product that’s so much more than my words on a page. the collaboration between a bunch of actors i’ve never met in person, a sound effects engineer on one coast and an editor on the other coast.

Anon, you are clever! Sending me three more cousins like that. Thank you.

E is an excellent writer. This means that he is attentive to detail, he knows how to read and dissect and reassemble people and places in all sorts of fascinating combinations, he is empathetic and communicative, and that one of his ideas of enjoying something is creating something in response to it. He’s a lot of what I wish and hope to be as a writer! And he does it not only for enjoyment’s sake but as a path of study (maybe even as a career? I’m a little behind on the times there -- but either way). That’s so cool. And he loves space! I always enjoy people who love space.

He is also just as good at humor as he is at pathos, maybe even better. Reading what he’s written, speaking with him, or listening to him is always fun and funny.

I’m still not over the One Day More parody he did, personally.

Val Ryder didn't have much of a romantic history pre-Andromeda, with one exception: she knew a turian during her early days on the Citadel. He was stuck there because his dad was an important ambassador; they bonded over having parents with huge legacies and wanting to get out and explore the galaxy. Val eventually joined the Alliance military and the turian got assigned to a corps of military engineers, and they parted ways. He was her biggest "what if."

Well here goes- Sara is actually very timid and protective of herself and she never really found an intimate interest in anyone, so she's actually been single her whole life- sexuality being a demisexual. She gradually falls for Jaal and doesn't even realize that she's so attracted to him until he starts to flirt back and she just kinda feels safe. Though she's haunted- biotics /can have lasting implications on children, Scott got asthma, Sara got infertility and is nervous about telling anyone.

Oh :/ But I’m glad she feels safe with Jaal.

hmmm okay picture this:

somewhere outside fictional riverdale. late summer. a red car. convertible. in the front seat, betty cooper, letting her hair down for the first time, going a bit over the speed limit to feel the wind in it. veronica lodge in the passenger seat, hair tied back like jackie o. she gently teases her girlfriend about crashing the car her dad bought for her before v’s even had a chance to drive it. they’re holding hands. they’re dating. the sex is fantastic

in the backseat, archie andrews lays across jughead jones’ lap. jug’s hand is in his hair, archie is pouting because no one let him drive. jug is rolling his eyes but so fondly. they’re dating. the sex is nonexistent because jughead is ace you cowards, the romance is tentative at best but the love is overwhleming

they’re all happy and no one murdered anyone and chuck clayton is a good guy and is dating reggie maybe, who is also a good guy if a bit of a dick

Amount of sleep: i mean… depends on the day? i try to get to bed around 11pm on weekdays, so i can actually get 8–9hrs, but it definitely varies, and weekends i think i tend to get anywhere from 9hrs to 12+. if we’re talking pre-quarantine/being allowed to work from home, i was trying to going to bed earlier but getting up at 6:30 so i could catch the bus on time, so… 8-ish hours on weekdays if i was being nice to future me? i spent five years consistently sleep-deprived and two of those years running on about 5hrs a night + caffeine + anxiety, i’m reaaaaally over the chronic sleep deprivation thing

14. Dream job: see i don’t have a dream job, i have a dream life that involves being able to just study stuff and crochet/knit and bake and copy-edit stuff (for fun) and not having to Do A Job.

15. Dream trip: I… don’t actually particularly like travel tbh? there’s places i’d like to be (anywhere i could hang out with allie, sarah, or better yet, both at once, for starters), but the actual getting there would be stressful, not part of the fun.

Prepare for Trouble, and make it... both really bad at their job, but for different reasons?

While drawing this I figured out a few things for the Pokemon AU!

Voss is a pretty rubbish trainer without any pokemon of his own (his Zubat and Rattata were given him by Team Rocket) and no skill in battles, so he’s jealous of Wolfe's ability and close friendship with pokemon (even Zubat and Rattata like him better.) He couldn’t even beat one of those bug kids, so not very good at stealing pokemon. 

Wolfe of course is far too nice to actually be any good at stealing pokemon either. Like I said before, it’s not too different from canon, he joins because it’s family tradition but when he actually comes to it doesn’t have the stomach for violence. I think Mal probably gets caught up in the attempt to steal Lowe’s pokemon rather than he’s actually a target - a scruffy young man who hasn’t even properly caught his Ralts isn’t of much interest to Team Rocket - and their joining together goes pretty similar. Wolfe caught Kricketune when he was a kid and she’s travelled with him ever since, they even busk together on their journeys.

After Wolfe deserts Team Rocket, Voss is sent to some far off region to avoid being a further embarrassment, which is where he finds Zoroark. Zoroark can turn human-shaped and talk and also create powerful illusions, so it makes a deal with him it’ll pretend to be his various pokemon and win him any battles if it takes it across the world to Widdershins, so it can become the most powerful.

Understandably, Wolfe’s pretty ashamed of his involvement in Team Rocket so Ben doesn’t find out until Voss rocks up in Widdershins. By that point though he trusts Wolfe so it’s not a huge deal, it’s more a case of Mal taking the piss out the uniform and weird poses.

Next for this AU I think I’ll draw Alexa and Celebi! I couldn’t stop thinking about @shamrockjolnes ‘s suggestion about the hotel having something to do with them, and I think I’ve figured out some stuff about how that story would maybe go, so I’ll explain my ideas then :)

Also, this is a collaborative AU ( @malform-removal​ did a lot also btw) so everyone’s welcome to come up with stuff for it (please tell me if you do though, I’d like to see!) <3
