you dont know that alec loves that magnus is taller than him

you don’t know that they dated in secret for months

you dont know alec’s wardrobe is absolutely hopeless and he only wears years old worn out sweaters with holes in the cuffs and magnus loves it

you dont know that sometimes magnus wears his worn out sweaters

you dont know that they didnt get married for years until alec became consul and they could get married in warlock blue and shadowhunter gold under his new law

you dont know they have two kids, before they ever married

you dont know their first son is named after alec’s brother max, who actually died during the war

you dont know that max’s skin is blue, and his eyes are just a shade darker than alec’s

you dont know that alec loved one man so much he changed the world for him

If I had a nickle for everytime one of my favorite book series was adapted into a single mediocre movie with bad writing but great casting choices that had all the sequels cancelled AND a mid teen show that's fine on it's own but horrific as an adaptation that also got cancelled AND had Dominic Sherwood playing a main character.... I'd have 2 nickles, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

Immortal Malec established relationship!

canon divergent where Malec is an established relationship and Alec is also immortal (vamp, seelie, warlock, other) and the two have been together for centuries, and then the shadowhunter plot happens. And Magnus is like: "Darling, these young shadowhunters need our help desperately. This is Clarissa-" And Alec, who is not a fan of shadowhunters at all, is like: "Oh god don't name them, you will just grow attached."
