She was born on the year that Will had been dead for as long as he'd lived

Thinking about how Will and Tessa loved Jem so much they named their son “James” after him.

And also thinking about how, 130 years later, Jem and Tessa named their daughter “Wilhemina” after Will. And then they adopted a snarky lil Herondale boy to raise too.

I kind of love how Cassie frequently mentions in LoS that every time the Blackthorns reunite, Kit fades into the background while everyone hugs, because nobody of the family really seeks him out. And while this might be sad to read, it’s so meaningful because by TWP he will have Tessa, Jem and Mina who will immediately search for him, hug and ask him if he’s alright.

It's so funny to me, cause I always think about Johnny Rook rolling in his grave, cause his son is now a full Shadowhunter with runes, he lives with an ex-shadowhunter and a warlock, has a Shadowhunter sister and is IN LOVE WITH A SHADOWHUNTER BAHHAHAHAHA

Just realised Mina’s second name, Yiqiang, translates to “remembrance”. If you connect it with her full given name “Wilhelmina”, it can be literally read as 'in remembrance of William’. I love how much Tessa and Jem actually love Will.

tessa choosing to have mina despite knowing how the story would end for them, despite having been unable to stick around and witness that ending the first time around, has always felt to me like this insane act of bravery, and almost recklessness, on tessa's part. but i was thinking about it and like.. i wonder if it will actually be a bit easier this time around simply because magnus will likely be going through the same thing at a similar time. like he was there for her the first time but.. idk this time they'll get to really be there for each other.

Imagine Mina crying and throwing a tantrum when Kit tells her he needs to go away again in TWP 2 or 3. After she calmed down a bit, Kit looks at her seriously, hands her his Herondale ring and says „This is a promise that no matter what, I will come back to you, Min Min. Do you promise to take good care of it for me while I’m gone?. And Mina enthusiastically nods her approval, and swears upon a pinky promise to take very good care of it.
