Seth: I just find it hilarious that you could have taken those two characters in literally any direction and Entrapdak But To Tje Right is something we just happened to stumble into.

Alice: I think it's sweet. That entire subplot is sweet and that's something /that/ one needs more of. *vaguely guestures to Lexie*

Lexie: ??? I don't know how to take that. Coming from the gore lover.

Seth: *bursts out laughing*

Alice: I am /happily/ a gore lover. It ain't your thing and angst makes you cry but you'll fight through it for crumbs of happiness at the end. Sweet makes you all gross in gooey, but in the warm and fuzzy type of way. You're a very hard and dedicated worker and to an obsessive and many-are-concerned-for-your-well-being type of way. So you need sickening sweet in your life.

it's like a week after they meet and seth had a night off with no game the next day so seth decided on some lowkey spot in raleigh.

seth is so nervous. he offered to pick liz up but she refused since she's still at unc, it would be pointless so she met him in raleigh.

she was also nervous but did better at hiding it. seth got there ridiculously early and waited for liz in his car. he gets out just as liz pulls and smiles when he sees her.

his smile gets bright when she approaches him. he says, "hey. you look beautiful."

liz blushes, "thank you."

they get a table and sit down for drinks and start talking. seth asks, "so where are you from liz?"

"I'm from cross. it's like 40 ish minutes from here, on the other side of chapel hill. you?" liz says with a smile. (should we give her a slight southern accent?)

seth smiles, "I'm from Winnipeg. in Canada."

"what brings you down here?"

"work." he says simply. he's hoping to avoid the topic of hockey because he really wants her to get to know him off the ice without hockey being a factor. he wants her to like him for him and not because he plays hockey.

a waiter comes over and takes their food order.

liz continues after the waiter leaves, "so you mentioned that you're here for work. what do you do for work?"

"I work with carolina hurricanes. what about you, what do you do for work?" seth shifts the conversation back to her. she smiles, "I'm a junior at the university of north carolina studying exercise and sport science but I'm also on the field hockey team."

"oh that's awesome!" seth says smiling. liz blushes, "yea, we actually just won the national championship and had an undefeated season."

"well congratulations. that's not an easy feat to do."

"thank you." liz blushes some more. seth asks her, "so what do you plan on doing after graduation?"

"so I'm working with the athletic director at nc state to start a field hockey program there when I graduate. he's working with the athletic department to allocate funds and scholarships and get that side squared away while I play my final season at unc. he basically said that if we win the natty again next year, I have the job. that's actually why I was in raleigh last week, I had a meeting with him the day after I met you."

"oh that's awesome." seth says again smiling.

the whole night ends up being filled with laughs and smiles from the two of them. as the night winds down, seth pays for dinner and walks liz back to her car.

he ends up holding her hand and asks softly, "is this ok?" she nods and they continue the quiet walk to her car. when they get to her car, liz says, "I had a great time tonight seth."

"me too. can we do this again?"

"definitely." liz says looking up at him with a smile. seth smiles back, "can I kiss you liz?" she nods and seth cups her cheek with is hand to lean in and kiss her softly.

they pull away with smiles. seth says, "it's getting late."

"yea." liz agrees. seth then says, "text me when you get home please?"

when liz nods, seth kisses her again softly and then says a soft, "good night liz."

liz basically whispers back, "good night seth" before getting in her car and going home. seth gets in his car and drives back to his apartment smiling. he then texts the group chat of him, svech, aho, and kotkaniemi saying, "jokes on you assholes, I took liz on a date tonight and it went so well that we're going on a another one soon."

to the guys: oh fuck you. I hate all of you.

he's about to put his phone away when a text from liz come through, "I'm home seth! thank you for a great time tonight."

to liz: glad you're home safe to liz: and I'm glad you had a good time. hopefully we can find a good time to do this again soon?

from liz: definitely. just let me know when.

to liz: sounds good.

from liz: I'm heading to bed because I have an early ish class so I'll talk to you later seth😊

to liz: good night liz😘
