Pokemon Scarlet/Violet - Voice Actor Headcanons (Teal Mask and Indigo Disk Edition)

So, the version of this post I did for the main game turned out to be one of my all time most popular posts on this platform, and I'm honestly super happy about that. The majority of people seemed to really like the voices that I picked for each of the characters, and there were some fun discussions in the reblogs and comments.

So it was only a matter of time before I got around to doing the DLC characters, and now that Indigo Disc is finally out, better now than never. Pokemon obviously rarely has voice acting in the main series, so this is the next part of the series where I assign English VA's to each of the characters.

Before I get into this, there are a few points I need to reiterate, as I often do with these posts.

This is NOT CANON. These are HEADCANONS and are unofficial. It’s just a hypothetical situation. If the characters were voiced, this is who I imagine would voice them.

Every major character in the DLC is included here, so there are HEAVY SPOILERS for the game’s DLC storylines. DO NOT READ THIS POST IF YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED THE TEAL MASK OR INDIGO DISC OR DON’T WANT TO BE SPOILED.

This VA Headcanons post is SPECIFICALLY for the characters from Pokemon ScarVi's DLC. If you want to see the characters from the main game, the post is here.

As was the case with Nemona and Penny, it's highly likely that the characters will get official English VA's in Pokemon Masters. Remember that this post was constructed prior to this.

I'm a 17 (she/they) role player with 5-6 years of experience! I want to find some roleplay partners interested in doubling up (basically I play my oc and the character your oc is shipped with and you do vice versa)! I do ask that you're around 16-17 years of age though.

Shingeki no Kyojin was good n' I liked Tokyo Ghoul.

Out of animes I liked their intro songs- especially Unravel, Shinzou wo Sasageyou, n' The Rumbling.

Another one I loved was found & lost by Survive Said the Prophet.

I tried Given- n' I guess this would be a "hot take" or whatever you guys call it- but if I'm bein' honest, I was more into Bocchi the Rock.

Still a cute one, though.

Nothin' will ever give me chills like Banana Fish n' this scene from Bocchi.

Death Note was another one that was pretty good but drove me nuts- loved the second op though- n' I'm excited to continue Boku no Hero Academia n' Demon Slayer.

I think the two I'm most excited to read/see more of though are Trigun/Trigun Maximum/Trigun Stampede n' Rurouni Kenshin.

Vash is a pretty cool guy.

Oh yeah- One Punch Man was hysterical, too.

Princess Mononoke was gorgeous.

He blinks when the wings move, eyes widening at the sight of the table for two and the hanging lights twinkling like stars. He stares for a long moment, only shaken out of his stupor by Kazimir's promise of 'dessert' later on, which startles a soft, delighted laugh from Harper.

"You're such a dork, Kaz." He chuckles softly, wrapping both arms around the winged man's neck as the other bends down for a kiss, fingers playing with the downy feathers around Kazimir's ears "Thank you, I love it. I love you."

Archetypes usually refers to cards and effects sharing part of their name together, but also goes to those sharing a common theme. While naming an archetype is the easiest way to identify an archetype card, some cards gather together by having supporting options and sinergy arround certain traits. In some cases like Counter Fairy aren't officialy an archetype yet are treated like so by the playerbase, while in others is very obvious that some cards are specifically created to work together.

"Number 27: Dreadnaught Battleship Dreadnoid" is a small Xyz Monster that its core effect encourages playing the Railway archetype, a series of high Level trains with expensive yet powerful summons. The objective of "Dreadnoid" is to destroy a monster in battle, as by doing so it will use itself and its materials (If any) when the Battle Phase ends to Xyz Summon a Rank 10 or higher Machine. To assure this outcome, "Dreadnoid" can spend its materials to protect itself against any destructive sources once per turn. Capable to gather several materials from its own Xyz Summon, "Dreadnoid" becomes a solid choice to pressure the opponent with an almost assured result by protecting itself against any potential threats and immediately replace itself with some of the strongest Xyz Monsters out there.

Despite an effect aimed towards Railway monsters, the liberty of using as many Level 4 materials as we can makes "Dreadnoid" and its potential summons when defeated available for the vast majority of Decks out there. Is further clear given that a Railway Deck has plenty of opportunities to Xyz Summon Rank 10 monsters by their own means, while many other builds can depend on monsters like "Tin Goldfish" and "Rescue Rabbit" to immediately prepare the arrival of "Dreadnoid". Not only that but some particular builds can invest several monsters in a single turn to gather as many materials as we like on "Dreadnoid", ranging from Yosenju and Star Seraph with their consecutive summons, to investing on several Level 4 monsters with summoning effects like "Summoner Monk" and "Kagetokage" sinergizing together. Don't miss the opportunity to revive "Dreadnoid" in later turns, as although won't carry any materials is still a way to use its main effect given the perfect situation.

Although not having the strongest stats, "Dreadnoid" is a fearsome monster that can bring powerful Xyz Machines once it defeats any monster in battle. This is further assured with its second effect, protecting "Dreadnoid" from any countermeasures like stat changing effects and chainable removal effects. The real problem however is that cannot defend itself against any effect able to get rid of it without being destroyed, so try to have some backup from cards like "Infinite Impermanence" and "Solemn Judgment" to assure its survival. Once we take down a monster with "Dreadnoid" it will replace itself once the Battle Phase ends, having plenty of options to choose from depending of the circumstances. In most cases we'll aim towards "Super Quantal Mech King Great Magnus", a Xyz Monster which becomes stronger the more materials attached and thus taking big advantage of "Dreadnoid" own Xyz Summon. If the opponent has low Life Points, instead we can bring out either "Number C9: Chaos Dyson Sphere" or "Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max" to finish them off with their effects during our Main Phase 2. And keep on mind that "Dreadnoid" can trigger its effect during the opponent's turn with the proper coverage (Like "Limiter Removal" as we will ignore its drawback before it happens), so we can end summoning "Superdimensional Robot Galaxy Destroyer" and use its ability to clear the opponent's backrow once our turn begins.

"Number 27: Dreadnaught Battleship Dreadnoid" is a quite interesting monster, as despite being part of the Railway theme it will shine the most outside its own archetype. Railway Decks already have plenty of methods to summon expensive Xyz Monsters without having to pass through "Dreadnoid" conditions, making it and its potential summons available for many other Decks that wants a powerful monster without having to invest much on high Rank setups. Combining its own protective effect and basic coverage, soon enough "Dreadnoid" and its materials will turn into lead monsters like "Super Quantal Mech King Great Magnus" to rule over the field from the very first turns of a Duel. Its summoning effect might seem slow given other Extra Deck options out there, but with plenty of methods to invest on its Xyz Summon to follow with powerful Machines makes "Dreadnoid" a solid investment for any Deck even with the bare minimum of materials to work with.

Seraph had many, many ideas about what his proposal would be like from as soon as he was merely a few years rezzed.

  At one point, he was sure he'd want to be treated like a ruler. To have his lover propose, to be the center of attention. And yet...when he had met Apostle, the other seemed to tilt this expectation on it's head. First as Warlords- and then when they met again. Perhaps it was age, or experiences- but the proposal Seraph once longed for didn't suit him well, nor his lover.

  Instead, the margins of his notebooks had been filled with tiny details for the past months- little notes on locations, sketches of rings in places he kept hidden so the other could not figure out his plans so easily. Glimmer was no problem, and the ring was surely expensive. Then the place... and finally Seraph thought himself ready.

He had 'smoked' the kids out for the afternoon (which entailed as much glimmer as they wanted for a trip to the city with the promise to be out late), and cooked them both dinner- a turkish delight he'd learned ages ago, when he was still a warlord and was still even learning the ropes of living. He'd hunted for something that tasted the same as what they'd been drinking on the new years night when they confessed to each other- but...non-alcoholic. He didn't want either of them to be less than sober for what he was planning. After dinner, he'd drug the other out to the balcony, stars shining from high above. The garden beneath them was quiet, ivy crawling up the walls as if it was trying to help hold them up, the leaves shining silver in the moonlight.

  "Do you remember the day we confessed to each other, out here?" Seraph asked, leaning against the railing, leading Apostle closer. "The stars above us, the city celebrating another year lived..." He set his drink down, on the small glass table he kept out there and then reached down for Apostle's free hand, taking it gently. "I think about it alot, and when we met..."

The warlock brought his hand up, playing with the others fingers. His voice was soft- never breaking the atmosphere as Seraph had such a talent of avoiding. "I never thought I'd see you again for the longest time. In my time I saw countless Guardians come in here, many took a liking to me even, but some part of me still held out hope that you would be somewhere out there I think."

  Seraph glanced up at him, checking the others reaction before beginning to press kisses to the tips of Apostle's fingers, being so gentle, as if the other was not a titan and instead something he could break by being too rough. He paused in his thoughts, closing his eyes.

"What was it like for you, love?" He finally said as he moved to place his hand over the top of Apostle's, closing his eyes. "In all of those years. I don't mean just thinking about me, I think I'm just...did you have a kind life in that in-between?" Stalling, perhaps, but Seraph didn't want to drop it on him immediately as soon as they got out there. He wanted to reminisce, if only for a little while with the Titan.
