So.......The time has finally come. For the past few days, I have been struggling with the twine app regarding the codes and other stuff. But now it is finally finished!!!!!!!!! Wooooooooooo!!!! 🥳 🥳 🥳

But, as I am still a noob at creating codes, I haven’t expanded much on the UI screen and character creation. I will work on it. I promise!! Shout out to llamagirl and the-keeper-of-midnight for their help. ^-^

I occasionally see people complain that stereotypes of trans women even in our own online communities are often about us being nerdy shut ins, and how they say that’s unfair and inaccurate. But besides the obvious selection bias that in online spaces people who are shut ins that spend most of their time online are going to be more prevalent than those who spend less time online, I feel like it takes a bit of willful ignorance to pretend that nerdy shut ins don’t make up a very large portion of transgender women for very material reasons. Most of the transgender women I know have a few things in common:

We grew up uncomfortable with our bodies

We spent most of our lives prior to transitioning feeling like something is very wrong and feeling like we don’t fit in with most of society

We frequently fantasized about a life that could be different

Again there is a very real amount of selection bias in this because basically every trans woman I know is also mentally ill and spends most of her time online. But again I feel that the material reality of being a person who feels uncomfortable with themselves, feels like they don’t belong, and often fantasizes about a life where they didn’t have those problems very much would cause said person to gravitate towards being nerdy and/or a shut in. And that is intensified if you consider the statistically higher percentage of trans women that are autistic (the autism-transgender connection is a whole different topic but there is a statistically significant overlap). To a person like that, video games, tabletop role playing, and online communities where you can present yourself how you’d like are all very attractive things. And if so many of us gravitated to those things before transitioning, existing in this world that is so deeply cruel and unaccepting of trans women only pushes us further into using those as our outlets.

I won’t pretend to have any statistical or other knowledge to make sweeping statements about that making up the majority of us or anything, and I also recognize there is selection bias inherent to this discussion and that my view is limited as an American white woman. But I will say that I don’t think it should be necessarily surprising or disappointing to anyone that online communities of transgender women tend to focus on talking about the types of transgender women that make up the majority of those communities: the ones who spend more time online

in another life, i miss you terribly during a late night. i call you, and you do not answer. you must be very busy, i think. i roll over in bed and watch the shadows on the ceiling bend and twist with every passing car. i sleep, and i am dreaming of you even if i do not remember it the next day.

in another life, you are a beetle, and so am i. we are burrowed together beneath a tree root during a rainstorm. i do not know you. i am not as small as you. your carapace nudges mine as we both try to burrow further into the dirt. it is cold. we are warm.

in another life, we are spotted hyenas in the same pack. you have been hunting, and now your ear is bleeding. you are limping, so i follow you. i lick the blood from your face, lay down next to you and breathe in the silence. we watch the evening sun glow.

in another life, we live across the hall from each other: you are room 317 and i am room 316. we know each other, barely - i have held open the door for you a few times and you've done the same for me. we have never looked at each other's faces close enough to recognise each other. but still, i notice it when you move out, when the sound of music on your stereo no longer floats through my window.

in another life, we are transmission towers, connected by a few metal strings.

in another life, we are lilypads on a pond. we are stars in the sky. now we are skeletons in the same grave. we are corpses on a battlefield. bricks in a wall. stickers on someone's notebook.

what am i to you? and how do i describe who you are to me? i have this feeling that is greater than love, perhaps it is beyond the word "love". all i know is: with the time i have, i am glad to know you.

I always feel somehow insulted on the guy's behalf when people ascribe every single sign of personality g1deon ever exhibits to pyrrha peeking through. he is a fairly inscrutable character seen through harrow's eyes (she is also, understandably, distracted by the fact that he keeps trying to murder her lol), but credit him with at least a little bit of interiority and depth of character, huh. there must have been something there for pyrrha to have loved and trusted him so much. him saluting harrow for almost turning him inside out at dinner makes perfect sense seen in context with the way he hilariously and casually is like 'sorry about this whole thing btw, this wasn't my idea' the last time he tries to kill her, and it being pyrrha instead only opens questions of how augustine at least wouldn't have noticed the changing eye colour (HUGE risk for pyrrha to take for no good reason, if so). g1deon clearly has a kind of deep respect for a worthy opponent, as we also see with wake, and there are several times when the dios apate disaster trio are being. well, themselves, where it's noted that g1deon looks at harrow as if in quiet solidarity (even if it just freaks her out fhdssdfa). this poor guy has been sure he's losing his mind for ten thousand years and when he found out he'd apparently been fucking The one person he shouldn't during his blackouts he just. he just went with it? for a while??? it seems????? listen I'm saying this guy has got layers and he provably has Weird ideas about the capacity for coexistence between cameraderie, respect and attempted murder

idk. he's not the most charismatic presence in the books, I know, but I feel bad about the idea of denying him basic humanity and depth. and if nothing else will convince people, HOW could you disrespect pyrrha like this by assuming she was once upon a time ready to give her whole soul to a guy who's genuinely thoroughly boring and swagless

While I (and others) love the idea of Edwin having a very Edwardian music taste, I think there is a more likely (and funnier) option

This boy was only 16 when he died in a time when radios were only used for military purposes and spent 3 years in a boarding school. He probably didn't get exposed to much music at all. It would be the occasional phonograph or a live band of some kind

He first exploration into music would've been with Charles after he escaped Hell. So, while a song or two from his time might have emotional attachments, he probably listens to music more modern than that.

Imagine Edwin listening to a CD or a walkman for the first time. That's when he truly enjoyed listening to music especially having someone so enthusiastic to share it with him

i love this scene so much, it really shows how much they've grown. izuku can be openly vulnerable and said what was on his mind to him, and katsuki can accept it and attempt to be reassuring. like he's really trying to show that he cares in his own way :(

i don't think he's telling him to suck it up, i think what he meant here was to stop blaming himself for what happened to him. like they've brought him back to UA and showed him that everything that's happened is not his responsibility, so he shouldn't be so hard on himself anymore. they should start looking ahead, because being stuck in past would just endanger himself with shigaraki and afo. but i think katsuki just failed to understand that izuku wasn't only blaming himself, he was afraid to hurt katsuki. that it wasn't about izuku, it was about katsuki and the potential fatal consequence of his mistake with shigafo. it was fear of losing him.

(nevertheless even if it's not bkdk i still love that izuku has a scene that shows how much the previous events have impacted him.)

Within bedlam the sunlight trickles down liquid and delayed as if fat drops of rain, racing across a speeding car's window.

Inside the storm sleep feels ever distant, as wind cradles fragility and we search for shelter under juniper trees.

We brave the tempest, strands of hair stuck to our faces, wiped away for a brash openness and a smile that is the invigoration of temporarily being invulnerably human.

We wake touching ground with dirt caked under nails and grass between toes. We gaze up, jealous of birds in a perfect sky, damning our fear of heights.

Then, the sun caresses the horizon, and our visions rest as we collide, tempted into the star-strewn night.
