Every time I think about the Tree of Feelings I can't help but be a little underwhelmed at how the most popular depictions of it is just. the tree. on a hill. surrounded by miles of nothing but grass and maybe a few houses in the distance.

#zelda#legend of zelda#ocarina of time#link#linktober#day 13: phantom#aquanutart#actually i meant to do this for day 2: temple but ...#i guess i could really stretch it and say it's day 15 favorite character (oot link)#i listened to the forest temple music while working on this until i couldn't take it anymore#i hear it in my head when i look at this#the haunted paintings are so cool. this temple is amazing#i love how it's not dark and claustrophobic all the time but also has these bright outdoor areas that are eerily overgrown and abandoned#and then it whiplashes you into stuff like the twisted hallways. it's so cool#i'm not really into spooky/scary stuff but eerie with a sense of implied history and mysteries from years ago? go for it#also the wallmasters teaching us all to deal with anxiety in adulthood#(that is: sense its lurking presence; dodge it when it falls; slash it apart but dont let it split into smaller ones that run away from you

#kingdom hearts 0.2 birth by sleep a fragmentary passage#kh0.2#the world within#dwarf woodlands#realm of darkness#scenery#my gif#this world is interesting because it's so different from the rest#the sky looks like some sort of dome with triangular screens that project a broken glitchy sky#almost as if it takes place in some kind of data simulation#which i don't think is the case but it adds to the feeling of aqua's experiences here not feeling ''real''#i mean this place hardly even resembles what the original world is supposed to look like#like it changed to match aqua's psyche. forcing her to look at her own reflection and confront her own fears; doubts; guilt; and sadness#actually now that i think about it this feels extremely fitting for this world#it's like when snow white was running through the forest and was so afraid that it made the trees around her look alive and dangerous#except aqua has to wander this broken world and face her dark thoughts that take shape by looking exactly like her#she's constantly running in and out of mirrors into rooms that make no logical sense like the endless staircase and the pillar maze#there are ghostly echoes spoken in her own voice that mock her by saying no one can save her and no one wants to. it's chilling#i can't even say for sure if the phantom aquas are actually physically there or if it's all in her head#similar to how she'd see visions of terra and ven#she's such a tragic character

Hellooo! Remember when i said i was going to draw my version of Wukong with some of the different clothing he wore in JTTW? (Probably not, It has been a while-)
Well, i've finished them a few months ago, i just forgot to post It. But i really wanted to show them here, im really happy with them :D
WELL HERE THEY ARE!!!
Not really clothing but i wanted to show how Wukong looks when he was younger comparing to his adult version :P
This is when he just got crowned as the Monkey King! And a king needs a crown, so i gave him a flower crown cause its cute. And the leaf outfit i might change how it looks, but i want it to be more simple, since its only the begining of his legacy as the Handsome Monkey King
The "among humans" is when he leaves the mountain to go look for immortality! When he arrives he steals some dude's clothing, (which is way too big for him, lol) And the design is in reference to the 1986 series
The student one is when he becomes a desciple of Patriarch Subodhi, and i took inspiration from the description from the book + the one in LMK
His dragon armor is mostly inspired by the 1996 version, but i made some changes to it. I tried making it more simple to draw but still detailed enough to look cool (i mean, its his most iconic look, it HAS to look good!)
I don't have much to say about the bimawen outfit, it looks mostly the same in all adaptations i think, i just drew that :P
Aaaaand his pilgrim outfit doesn't have a specific inspiration exactly, but i looked at many references to think of what i wanted in my design. Something more humble then his dragon armor, but still colorful and fun! The only thing that i was certain about the design, is that it needed to include the tiger skin skirt. Its possible i will change it in the future, but for now im happy with the look. And i wanted the golden circlet to actually look golden and magical, so its ✨sparkly✨
