fem reader, pure fluff, childhood friends to lovers lemme alone do not perceive me yk the drill by now, lil self indulgent fic cus i love childhood friends to lovers and puppy crushes, polar opposite’s trope, this reeks of my oc x canon katsu ship sooooo shh shh do not perceive.

the first person who realizes katsuki has a crush on you is his mom because when she comes to pick him up one day from kindergarten he suddenly mentions you. it’s an innocent little interaction he had with you that mitsuki doesn’t think much about at first, simply surprised her son managed to befriend someone outside of his little group of friends until he starts mentioning you more and more.

soon you’re the only thing he talks about and katsuki even starts begging her to have you come over to play. mitsuki is extremely curious to know what kind of person you are to have been able to enchant her son the way you have, she says it’s fine as long as your parents agree.

you’re a sweet little thing, almost the complete opposite of her little devil’s spawn. you’re polite and a little shy when you ask “ is it okay if i come to play at katsu’s house, please miss katsuki’s mom ?” and how could she say no to you ? she pulls at your cheek lovingly and her son almost snarls at her.

“no touchin’ !” he snarks, pulling you against him like you were his teddy bear.

mitsuki was the first to realize her son had a crush on you when you were always around. when he found something cool during a class trip you were there and whenever he was upset it was always because you had argued about something irrelevant that seemed so much bigger in the eyes of a child.

she realized because katsuki had, and in some ways, will always be rowdy. he’s rough and temperamental and moody—basically, he can be quite the brat. (she wonders where he gets that from a lot) but he’s different with you.

he’ll always be a little rough around the edges but it’s the thought that counts. he drags you around a little too hard but it's to show you something he knows you'd like and you repay him by being patient with him and letting him drag you around to his hearts content. he let’s you use the crayons he’d just denied another classmate seconds ago and when it’s really early in the morning and you’re still sleepy unlike your more energetic friend, he waits for you. sitting with you in the reading corner quietly commenting on a little bit of everything in the book you’re sharing until you’re awake enough to start the day because katsuki wanted you to be together through anything no matter what, starting the day without you was simply unimaginable.

you offer him your kindness and he repays you with his loyalty. acting like your guard dog, protecting you from everything and everyone he considers a threat to you. he goes a bit overboard but it’s the thought that counts and he’s definitely got the right intentions.

“ i’m g’nna marry yn when i grow up !” katsuki proclaims from the backseat of the car after mitsuki had come to pick him up. she looks at him through the rear view mirror only to see he’s not even looking at her, looking out the window somewhat longingly, watching as his school fades away from his sight, further and further and further away from you. she smiles to herself.

“yeah ?” she asks “yeah !” he responds proudly, crossing his arms “ i asked yn if she wanted to be my wife an’ she said yeah, so we’re gettin’ married !”

“huh. how’d you propose ? you don’t have a ring.” she jests.

katsuki responds immediately and exclaims he does have one, shuffling around to reach for something in his pocket. he pulls out a plastic ring pop holder, the candy on top is missing and mitsuki can imagine what happened to it.

“gave her one of these !”

“so that’s why you had me buy those from the store last time,” she hums. “ you ate it, though.”

katsuki tries to roll his eyes but just ends up looking up and to the side, mitsuki recognizes it as him trying to mimic what she does a lot and she snorts.

“well duh, we both did ! ‘f i kept it in my pocket it woulda gotten gross !” he defends. mitsuki simply responds with a hum, smile on her face growing larger as she hears her son happily chatting about the rest of his day with you.

she knows her katsuki is hard to handle. extremely so. but when she sees the way you both interact she can tell something is there. you don’t ‘handle’ him. you like being around him. you like playing and talking with him, she sees how happy you make him whenever you come over for playdates. he holds your hand when you get scared and you hug him tight and beam when you see him again after he’s gotten over a nasty cold.

she can tell you make her son happy and he does the same for you in the way children do with pinky promises and shy cheek kisses, kisses over tiny wounds and refusing to be separated whenever the rowdier one of you both gets his recess time taken away for being naughty.

mitsuki hopes this crush, this love you have for her son can grow along with you. she hopes you’ll stick around as katsuki grows up more and potentially more rowdy and rougher around the edges but even more enamored with you. and with the way her son is squirming around in his seat and tugging at his seatbelt, giddy about you accepting his ring pop proposal, she has a funny feeling you’ll be sticking around for a long time.

I still can't get the unused concept art of Wish out of my head so I've been reading a lot of rewrites and looking at a lot of Wish redesigns...

So... I got inspired. I'm currently conceptualizing my own Wish "rewrite/redesigns", but with a twist. It's gonna be a spiritual "prequel", cuz idk I feel like being meta since we'll be using the original concepts before the final concepts/decisions made for the final movie XD

Many of my "prequel" characters will be stand-ins for the canon characters! So "Asha" will be renamed "Amala", "Magnifico" will be called "Mamoun", and so on. Think of Pokemon Legends: Arceus regarding the relations of these "OCs" with the canon characters.

Anyway, here are the designs I have so far! I only have the designs for Amala and the Star for now. Hopefully, I can get to draw the other characters soon, especially Mamoun and his wife.

The story will be called "Once Upon a Wish"

Here's an overview of what I have so far... Some details may change if I feel like my other choices serve the story better. (Also, small disclaimer, this is just a veryyy self-indulgent AU made by yours truly, so some details may not be accurate with the canon lore present in Wish)

The story takes place on the same island of Rosas, but from many years ago. If my research is right, canon Wish takes place in the 1200s, so maybe my "prequel" can take place in around the 900s-1000s. Rosas definitely wasn't called Rosas back then, but I'm still figuring out what to call it so I'm just gonna refer to it as "an island".

Amala is a shy, meek, but hardworking apprentice of the island's head sorcerer Mamoun (hence, her color palette looks similar to Mickey's outfit from The Sorcerer's Apprentice). Despite all her hard work in her magic studies, she doesn't really excel at using magic, making a lot of accidents during training. If there's anything she really excels at, it's the act of storytelling (She can draw/animate, sing, and write stories like fairy tales).

Amala also has a little sister Ayah, who I can imagine is the Lilo/Anna to Amala's Nani/Elsa. Ayah is spunky and cheerful, but she has an illness that makes her disabled. The sisters are orphans, but they live under an old family friend they affectionately call Grandpa Dabir. Dabir is a retired bard turned doctor who was part of a troupe with 6 other former bards, all of whom he and the sisters still interact.

so I think Anne rices canon introduction of “through Science™️ vampires can conceive children with the help of DNA 🧬 , but they will come out as genetic clones, literally like identical twins but they r ur child, and lestat has a canon clone son” is a stroke of unhinged world building genius that is greatly underutilized by the fandom! I also think the vampire chronicles fandom is rlly missing out on some cringe fandom trademarks (like fandom ocs, ridiculous aus, stuff like that) bcus of the lawsuit thing probably. So anyway, I made the change I want to see in the world, and I have a genetic clone fan child oc 🙏. inspired by Armand’s canonically paternal personality and nurturing tendencies and soft spot for children, I like to think that way way post canon (around modern day) Armand and Daniel decide to Start A Family, and go through the process lestat did of conceiving a clone child with a surrogate (through armands dna), and they have a son (clone of Armand) named Ivan (after Armand’s father, I’m sappy) ! 🥰🥰 . It’s so silly I know, but I think having the opportunity to raise a human child and getting to give him and watch him live the mortal life he constantly envies and hoped to be able to provide Benji and Sybelle (before it was stripped from them) would be like, rlly good for Armand, and definitely I could see him in later canon wanting to pursue having a child with Daniel bcus of this unresolved grief. The clone layer, as ridiculous as it is, adds another dimension of sappy bcus not only will Armand get to live out the catharsis of giving a human child the fulfilled human life he never got, he will also get to see *himself*, or an almost too literal embodiment of his inner child, get to experience what he never did, and live that happy and safe childhood that Armand was deprived of. I think watching his son who looks just like him grow up and become a man while Armand is eternally frozen as a teen would be hard for him, but still healing and important.

So in my heart, post canon Armand and Daniel have their shit together enough to healthily (tho imperfectly) raise their clone son Ivan, who lives and dies a mortal. Ivan is the most spoiled child to ever live and he has a lavish playroom that is practically a house, fifty iPads, probably like ten ponies, etc etc. I imagine since he shares so much of Armand’s dna he strongly carry’s a lot of his traits, such as autism and strong hyper fixations. And I like to think he’s a little bit of a brat like Armand was as a child🙏 especially since his other dad Daniel does little to discourage those tendencies 😭. Ivan is a screen addict, a model train addict, and a Wolf Kid. He grows up to be the freakiest, strangest, long haired big bearded 5’6 ginger man at the gay bar. As a toddler Armand dresses him like a tiny fancy little man bcus he won’t have any son of his committing any fashion crimes, but unfortunately for Armand Ivan takes after Dad-niel in the fashion department and by the time he’s able to dress himself he wears wolf themed t-shirts and cargo shorts everyday 💔💔

Daniel is rlly naturally good with kids which is incredibly sexy and romantic to Armand. He’s the fun dad 💀 Armand is a little too strict and a little to over protective bcus of how trauma based I imagine his parenting would be, and daniels laid back, comfy and understanding energy helps level that out. When he’s a teenager Ivan goes through a rebellious emo phase and Armand and Daniel have to spend all of their energy desperately trying to ensure Ivan doesn’t tap into his addiction gene or his strong susceptibility to inheriting his father’s personality disorders 💀. He is very doted on and very loved, he is given more care and attention than any other child would be capable of receiving 😭. Armand is convinced he’s a child genius and will definitely cure cancer and become a world leader, so he tends to parade him around like his prized possession that everyone needs to know is incredibly special during Vampire Family reunions or whatever goes on post canon. ivan is not allowed to interact with Most vampires, except for Uncle Louis, who finds it emotionally difficult to be around children 😭 and Uncle Lestat (only under careful supervision of Uncle Louis), who loves throwing Ivan around like a ragdoll and telling him embarrassing facts about Armand 💀

I think the shipping thing in rainworld is just a "problem" in every fandom, but it kind of sticks out more when the source material is something more complex themes/has no romance in it itself. It's simply easier and more fun to make ocs and have them do something familar(romance) than it can be to actually sit and look deeper into the source material and get into the complex themes of it.

Like I do it myself too in my own fandoms, make ocs and just play dollies with my friends where our OCs get married and 'the horrors' of the canon are never brought up because it's just easier and more simple to do and usually makes it easier for me to interact with others(and maybe make more friends). Where as if I wanted to really get myself elbow deep in lore and dig around in there I'd find it way harder to find other people to play dollies with me(and they'd be more headcanon/lore ideas to butt heads over).

But I totally get it! it's like "Why are all of the characters kissing and giggling in x fandom. GIRLS THE WORLD IS ON FIRE they would not have time for this!! There's much more interesting things to be thinking about!" And feel kinda... left out? Because that side of things just doesn't hold your interest but it's like 80% of the content in the fandom.

yeah i agree, like im guilty of it to some degree im not gonna pretend im not above being self indulgent. And ive been having fun lately playing dolls and toys with some other people both with ocs and official characters. but its so insanely prevalent at times it feels like its all people care about, and its always specifically romance instead of any other type of relationship. its just easy to get fed up i guess

The Cookout - Gyomei Head!Canon w/OC!Kiana

Authors note: This was a very self-indulgent Head canon that got waaay too long and was too much fun for me. The scenarios could have gone on and on, but I had to stop eventually lmfao. Enjoy, or don't. i know I did! LMFAO. Head Canon beneath the cut.

When they got married, Gyomei had no idea how different his life would be. That isn’t to say that it was in a negative way, but it was definitely something that he wasn’t used to. Needless to say, he was apprehensive about the four day stay at Kiana’s family home; they wanted to celebrate, with a cook-out, of course.

“Is… He crying?” Kiana’s sister would ask when he’s introduced, his prayer beads tightened in one hand while Kiana grips his other hand.

“He is! He’s tearful and sensitive in the best way.” She says, the smile on her face was so large that Gyomei could see it. But something about that grip on his hand, and the happiness in her words, made meeting her family a little more comforting.

Gyomei’s heart crumbles to bits when he feels a firm hand palm his bicep - he could tell from the imperishable grip that it had to be the hand of a father, or at least a very protective older brother.

He wasn’t expecting his height to be so cherished, loved, and made fun of all at the same time. It was a strange experience.

“Damn, Gyomei!"

He's startled when he bumps into a smaller body while walking through the door.

"You know ya ass can’t fit through the door with me!” Kiana’s sibling would giggle before immediately turning to him with a hand on his forearm and stating, “Just playin’.”

Gyomei was absolutely shocked when he was greeted warmly by everyone in the house when he walked in. Normally, it’s a pretty casual thing to say “I’m back” and receive a “Welcome back.” But Kiana’s family was different…

“Tadaima… Ah.” He remembers that none of them speak Japanese, and tears up.

Okaerimas!!” Kiana would shout, causing a few glances from the family.

Imagine his surprise when they took an interest in his language because of that one interaction.

Gyomei wasn’t expecting to feel so welcomed by a group of people that didn’t share the same culture as him. Even more shocked when they all tried to learn things to accommodate him. It was very polite.

Gyomei’s favorite thing is family functions. Something about his Kiana and her family getting together brought him a sense of joy.

“Who this lil’ Asian boy?~” Kiana’s grandma would ask with a lifted brow.

“Nana, this is my husband and his name is Gyomei..” Kiana would respond - respectfully of course. She ain't wanna get slapped in the mouth. Gyomei could sense that this woman was the progenitor, and that title held much weight. Silence was his only option.

“Ooookayy!~ He cute! Tall too! Mhm, and strong! You hit the lottery with this one!! Back in my day he coulda been used to hoe an acre-long field!....” She continues, causing an apologetic Kiana to whisper ‘I’m so sorry, honey.’

Gyomei couldn’t forget the way he was brought to life by the scent of food alone in the mornings. He’d never smelled such a combination of things…

“What are those, love?” He’d ask curiously, mouth practically watering.

“I’ll feed it to you and let you figure it out~” Kiana would whisper - poorly.

“AWWWWWWWW!~”

Gyomei never knew that biscuits and gravy could go so well together, or fish and grits, or chicken and waffles, watermelon with salt or sugar. What a variety of odd combinations to make an amalgamation of wonderful flavors.

“You eat like this at home, Gyo?” Nana would ask, giving him his nth serving of whatever it was he was eating.

“Mm-mm.” He responds, steadily placing more food in his mouth with more grace than anyone else, struggling to keep his demeanor calm as he tries not to shovel food in his mouth like Kiana.

“Kiana! Start feedin’ that baby! He can’t live off scraps!” She scolds with her hands on her hips, brow furrowed and lips curled.

From that point on, every other Sunday, Gyomei would perk up - anticipating his return to a family that showed him hospitality on a level he thought comfortable and familial.

“It’s nice being invited to the cook-out, ain't it babe?

With a blush, Gyomei nods once. He understood that being invited to "The cookout" was more than just the bringing of good food. It was the integration of him into a family that wanted him there.

If you think they're cringy than chances are other people aren't doing it so it's original and you should write it Like if you wanna write about you and Hobie playing D&D that's super unique and fun to you, so that idea is unique and fun

Romance and interacting with canon characters help your OC grow. By allowing them to have deep, passionate relationships with canon characters, you're exercising their emotions in a way that otherwise wouldn't be possible. Your OC can experience grief, euphoria, shyness, heartbreak - ANYTHING.

It helps you write canon characters better by exploring parts of their character otherwise untapped. Even if they have a canon partner. By placing them in different unique people, you get to see a new side of them.

You get better at worldbuilding - because you learn how to coherently add things to an established world rather than uses canon pieces

You'll be ten times more motivated to write.

You'll be easier on yourself, because you're going in with the idea of self-indulgence and whimsy instead of technique

The creator WANTS you to take interest and explore their world and have your own angle and perspective on it. That's a writer's dream.

It really is not just annoying, but also somewhat sad, that IDW characters can never have a meaty role without shamelessly upstaging a game character. It's the ultimate play of insecurity.

Tangle gets touted as the Sonic Female of All Time while the crewmembers drag the game females through the mud.

Whisper gets randomly fawned over by Silver and Jet of all guys.

Lanolin humiliates Silver and treats him like a child.

Rough and Tumble are too much for Cream the OP to handle.

Starline was hyped up for an extended period as Eggman's superior (no, his final fate did not undo sitting through his agonizing "Sonic VS Eggman is routine" soapboxing).

Surge is being hyped up for even longer as the most badass villain and the most badass character period, despite having absolutely nothing of merit to show for it.

Is it really that hard to find a middle ground? I get you want your character(s) to do big things and be a legitimate part of the cast instead of sitting in the background with their thumbs twiddling, but this is not the way to do it. Trip was only recently introduced to the series, and she found her place just fine. She didn't need to effortlessly beat up Sonic in concept art in order to earn her stripes. She didn't need her creators to brag that she would improve Forces through her mere presence in order to cement her value.

Look. I talk a lot about Trudy. I talk a lot about her role in my fic, her interactions, her dynamics, her abilities, her quirks, all that good stuff. I take her role in the story quite seriously, and in an age where it's become taboo to have your OC do literally anything with the game cast (because overcorrection), I've stuck to my guns and made her a big part of the fic.

But - and this is a big but - none of this comes at the cost of the other characters, or the story as a whole. Sonic is still Sonic, and acts as you'd expect from him. Tails is still Tails, and isn't dismissed by the narrative as a mere sidekick to prop up Trudy as the "true" hero by comparison. Amy is still her bubbly self, not morphed into a Sally clone. Cream is still capable, despite her youth and innocence, and her bond with Trudy doesn't reduce her to literal baby. Eggman treats Trudy no differently from the rest of the cast, and he sure as hell doesn't show any fear at the prospect of facing her. Stellar is not little more than The Trudy Show: it's Sonic's latest adventure in a new land that Trudy happens to be tagging along for, and how he leaves an impression on her. Just like Unleashed did with Chip, and Secret Rings did with Shahra, among other examples.

Even Sonudis, for as Never Going To Happen In Canon For Very Obvious Reasons as it is, is still made with the mentality of not only what Sonic himself is actually like in canon, but the others too. It's not a shallow bait that exists solely to exist, it's something I took seriously in regards to how it could potentially work without sacrificing Sonic's official characterization. Is it a fanfic cliche? Is it self-indulgent? Maybe, but writing fanfic in general is inherently self-indulgent. The sooner you accept that, the better. But as fanfic-y as some concepts may be, I still try to portray them as naturally and as faithfully as I can in respect to the games that spawned this franchise. That includes not reducing Sonic to a lap dog with no independence or backbone.

You can make your character important, and even give them a risky role if you're daring, without disrespecting the game cast and what they contribute to the franchise.

My Ranfren Self Insert/OC's Relationships w the characters. I made this a long time ago but deleted it. This is an updated version I guess. Most of these are characters that are alive, main characters, and relevent characters Ig. And my faves. Lmk if I should add any other characters, or just ask about their relationship with a certain character and Ill answer.

Randal: When they stay over, finds him interesting and amusing at times but too chaotic, confusing and unpredictable alot of the time. Likes his weird dolls, though. They sleepover sometimes when it's bad weather, so they like to watch Randal play with his dolls sometimes. They find it fascinating. Other than that he just exists to them. Randal treats them how he treats the catmen basically, but with less familiarity. He's overall friendly to them though.

Nyen: Opposition. Honestly its complicated. Nameless and Nyen are natural enemies because of Nyen's loyalty to Luther and protecting him by any means necessary. No name avoids Nyen like the plague in most cases and tries to just mind their business. They can hold their own against him and aren't exactly afraid of him, just cautious because I mean who wants to be attacked like that? Nyon and Null are both silent hunters, so they are of course wary and volatile when it comes to each other. Since Nyen is usually off doing his own thing or in the house, they rarely encounter each other. However, since No name associates themself and is on good terms with Luther, Nyen has to hold back on killing them. They actually connect in many ways due to having similar personalities, interests, and goals, which they find out much later after they both let their guard down. A potential for a I guess friendship with mutual respect (or more) or something like that. Luther acts as like a medium for them, though.

Nyon: Due to his docile nature, Null does not see him as a threat at all. They feel safe around him. Nyon is naturally cautious (so is Null), so he of course avoids Nameless at first. Nameless finds him to him very cute, soft, and cuddly and like that he is calm and not aggressive like the other cat. They try to prove to him that for him they are not dangrous which took some time. They usually aren't dangrous or aggressive unless they have to defend themself so their and Nyon's dynamic is chill. They like to discuss philosophy and Russian culture with him. Nameless thinks that he is very intelligent and insightful. In a way they balance each other out because Nameless is kind of like Nyen but not as mean or aggressive and actually have alot in common.

Luther: Is quite fond of Luther. Very fond. He is nice to them like he is to most people. He sometimes encounters them on his walks out of the house. At first, he tried to shoo them away, but they wouldn't leave so he was forced to get to know the critter and grew a fondness for them. When the weather is really bad, he lets them stay in the house (the catmen don't like this, eventually Nyon comes around), and he takes care of them, making them feel fuzzy on the inside. They try to make excuses to see him, or hope that he comes into the forest sometimes. Feels a connection to him and there is a possibility (not really its pretty much canon) they have developped a crush/feelings for him. It probably won't go further than that due to their age, but that doesn't stop Null from admiring him. (I know I depict them in a relationship but its usually just me tryna indulge in my crush on Luther. At the end of the day its all just fiction, speculation and fun.)

Carpet kitty: When Null stays over, they simply acknowledge her. They think she is odd and they never seen anything like her before. But other than that its tital indifference.

Nana: Natural. Null and Nana enjoy each other's company. They hang out and stuff. 2 spooky amnimals hanging out doing what? Who knows.

Sebastian: Doesnt interact much, but feels for him and his unfortunate situation. Has moments of vulnerablility with him where they understand each other, to an extent. They think Sebastian is sobering, and Sebastian thinks they are to scary, dangerous and to an extent grotesque, but he has gotten use to that just like he had to everything else. He is suprised at how good of a listener Null is.

Robert: Ever since he was released into the forest, they happened upon him after hunting. They avoid each other and know nothing about each other. Havent interacted thus far.

Werewoof: (I HC him as alive) Peas in a pod. They hunt, be wild and do untamed things together in the woods. No name cant howl, so they just sit and watch the moon while Werewoof does the howling. They've tried though. They have a close friend relationship.

Ran Over Raccoon: ( (I hc him as alive hopefully thats the case) Null sees him around. They see him in the woods sometimes. Null thinks he is cute, lets put it that way. They have alot in common being wild animals that live solitary lives. They both have been through alot. Due to their feelings for Luther and their lack of social skills and experience with relationships they have no idea what's happening inside of them. These two probably like eachother tbh.

Satoru: They dont enter the dream world, so they have no idea of Satoru.

The other Ratmen: they are dead and only lived in the Ivory house walls. They never were introduced.

Ethereal Q: When they stay over, Null thinks Ethereal Q is annoying and creepy but they like oatmeal so they tolerate him to get oatmeal out of him. Preferably blueberry flavor because they like blueberries.

@veinsfullofstars || an extremely cute question to start with! i think she has probably not even considered the idea of tree houses and would be absolutely smitten by them. she'd like a tall tree- so as to be closer to the sky- with dense soft branches that would catch her if she fell, like a conifer perhaps. though one that grew fruit or nuts would also be favourable for that late night snack-time. she'd definitely have to have a balcony, to sit on and star gaze, and i'm sure she'd have it decked out real cozy-like in true waddle dee fashion, with soft places to lay and sit and lots of little fairy lights. she would definitely have the great king's insignia in there somewhere as well.

Do they seek help? || as we know, she's desperate to be seen as a Totally Normal Waddle Dee, to the point that that alone makes her look suspicious. this was absolutely caused by that initial interaction with bandee, though he absolutely does not know and would be quite gutted to learn he had caused this kind of mental stumbling block for her. she's not totally wrong to be worried about it, because it does cause her to be ostracised and subjected to meta knight's suspicions, but probably she could be a lot emotionally chiller if she just accepted she was a bit unusual and didn't think of it as such an inherent flaw. Do they deal with it? || it's hard to answer this one because i don't really want to label any of her behaviours as flaws because they are all behaviours that belong to me that i have had to fight and scratch and claw not to loathe and punish myself for. i'd say possibly it's that she can get very stuck in her own head or on a topic and won't notice how other people are feeling or reacting, especially when she gets nervous. the feelings of others are actually very important to her, and she's not emotionally unintelligent, she's just a bit obtuse. if she chilled out a little and took a breather, she'd be a little less of a steamroller in conversations, and would have an easier time being more emotionally aware of others and their needs.

Who does it entwine with? || increasingly. and that's classified, but you might be able to guess 🍃 [FALLEN LEAF] What's the darkest period of time your OC has been through? || during her stint in the hospital. she didn't know who she was, where she was, or what was going on. she was in pain. little creatures who looked a bit like her would come up to her and poke her with things. they'd be kindly and attempt to performing social healing on her, only to burst into tears or run away shrieking and apologising. she didn't speak the language, though she picked it up very quickly. but that meant that she overheard when the only beings she recognised seemed to be discussing at length whether she was a planetary threat and whether she needed to be disposed of or not. obviously meta knight and dedede would never ever have done something so drastic, but if they had wanted to, she'd have let them. 🍏 [GREEN APPLE] How do they differ from the norm and how are they punished for it? || her appearance is fairly abnormal for a canon compliant waddle dee (though significantly less so among other waddle dee ocs) but her magical signature is the most unusual thing. it wouldn't even be that weird if she were anything other than a waddle dee; it's just that waddle dees have very consistent signatures in the cottagey-vibe area of a consistent strength, and hers is far outside that norm. unfortunately, because waddle dees are also extremely sensitive to the signatures, it results in her being almost entirely excluded by most of them. it's like seeing something that's pretending to be a human person but knowing that it Is Not, like slightly-off cgi. bandana dee, who is braver and stronger and more determined than most, with an extraordinarily well-developed sense of heroism, pushes through it in order to not leave her suffering in isolation
