Legit, I was going to say something about here when it was first announced (I was gonna make a joke like "Devsis has been taking notes from the fandom/me-") BUT, then, I completely blanked. ANYWAY, after catching up to how the results have been for the previous brackets, I'm honestly surprised at RV making it to the finals. I may have underestimated his current popularity, uwu. I had no plans to draw the victor but, maybe... wedding groom RV?......wedding bride RV?? 😳

awaaa you're too kind! (๑´ω`๑) As to making my own design of Ananas, I'm not sure. It def sounds like a good idea; however, I don't have a lot of faith in my designing skills. I have been looking at their sprites as I've been typing this and a few ideas have popped into my head, so maybe I can attempt an edit in the future :.D

Awww, thank you!! Ananas' design is truthfully one I struggle with due to the many overlapping details they have in their design, so hearing that my drawings have been your favorite look of them is a big honor! The chances to draw Ananas have def helped me get used to it, this one came to me more naturally than other times in the past uwu

So if Longan wags their tail when they get happy, do all the dragons do that? (Ngl I feel like most of them are far less likely to try and hide such a reaction aside from Ananas, the prideful mf that they are)

Absolutely! And I think that as well too! uwu

Both Pitaya and Lychee’s tails emote very energetically and freely! I believe the difference between the two’s patterns would be that Pitaya’s has a chance to be more destructive than Lychee’s.

Lotus’ tail is the longest out of the dragon group and combined with their calmer disposition, their emotions do not show up much through it by default. Instead, it sways rather than wags.

Anana’s definitely trying to not be read like a book thru their tail ADJDJGKL Does their best to temper their emotions but when they’re high energy (like when they get angry), their tail might smack heavily against the floor to let out steam. Their pattern will be more tranquil when they’re relaxed/ with others they trust (like their island subjects!)

Longan’s tail wagging at receiving affection is so out of place for them due to building their whole persona to be as unfeeling and intimidating as possible. And in regular circumstances, would’ve likely never been discovered to be something they could do. That’s the power that their chosen weak one has over them uwu

UNICORN TAIL...ꉂ (′̤ॢ∀ ू‵̤๑))ˉ̞̭♡ I think that suits them greatly as well!! Admittedly, I just re-used the tail design from their dragon form sprite, I'M STILL HAPPY YOU LIKE MY HCS HEHE

Friendly praise makes their tail move only slightly, blink-and-you-miss-it kind of movement. It's overt affection that really makes them struggle to control their tail uwo especially from their lovely weak one.

Took a while to answer this one bc I wanted to illustrate some of my ideas! I thank you for asking me uwu

Has a natural, booming voice. Doesn't need to try at all to make themselves heard over a raging storm. Also, rarely blinks as part of their intimidation towards others. Towards someone they care about, Longan will naturally blink more and even make an effort to speak more softly to them.

Big thing in my artworks of them is that they're super tall compared to regular cookies. This, of course, gives them a larger stride when walking. They won't slow down, even for their precious weak one. Though, they'll look over their shoulder now and then to watch them struggle to keep up; it's amusing to them :P

DEF NOT THE PERFECT PARTNER. Even if they gain a companion, they'll still be fixated on their goals. If their weak one's interests lie in anything cookiekind-related, Longan will be completely tuned out of it. EVENTUALLY, they'll try to see what all the fuss is about. Just to learn and form their own opinions about it.

Something angsty- if their weak one is a normal cookie and not a dragon, their mortality will become a constant thought in Longan's mind. They'll get more and more attached over time but in turn, put up a stronger aloof front. They have the power to bring back the era of dragons, but they can't bring back a cookie once they're gone... ...unless they can preserve them in some way. cutely petrifies their beloved into stone.-

You know the two NPCs in one of the stages of the Longan Palace Map, Longan Shaman and Longan Lancer? I imagine they would be bit more friendlier towards their master's new partner. :> At least one of the two would be assigned to them to watch over them when Longan's busy. Which means plenty of time to get acquainted!

After looking at their sprites a lot when drawing, I believe that Longan is able to move the spines on their back freely, as those are the most flexible of their horn structure. TBH, I think Longan is almost freakishly flexible, overall. In addition to stretching in any position with ease like a cat, they can also turn their head almost 180 degrees, just for the added creepy effect.

More on the cat thing actually, Longan absolutely does the eye thing where their pupils get wide when they see something they like. Also, purring- *gets shoved off stage*-

Has a tail similar-looking to their dragon form's. They just like having it hidden under their robes, since it tends to show more of their emotional state than they like.

I've been drawing the ears on charas more often and I think that compared to the rest of the dragons, Longan's would be pointy but slightly on the droopy side.

Thank you, I guess I'm still kinda processing everything. I have a bit of hope that, maybe, things will shake out in the next couple of days for the better. Just anxious for myself, my family, my friends, everyone, pretty much. Yesterday was the first time I ever voted, and I wanted to make what I thought were the best choices, so I looked up all I could beforehand. It's hard to not feel like it was all kinda useless in the end, especially considering where I live. Still, I don't regret doing it at all; it was a valuable learning experience! I hope you and everyone here is doing okay too.
