I tried writing just a little more of the third loop and I realized. Within the THIRD LOOP, so as soon as Odile accepts her journal entries are genuine:

Arrived in House. Siffrin activated the Death Corridor's trap. However, he did not call it the Death Corridor. Mirabelle informed me it was the place when I asked about the trap. This seems to be our third time. Haven't told the others. The brevity of the previous entries makes them more alarming than helpful. But there's still a notable difference. First attempt: ends too abruptly. As a work of fiction, tasteless for implying a sudden death to a trap--may have been the case. Second: Siffrin successfully disarms the trap and names the corridor. Current: Siffrin disarms trap but does not offer details. They were also calm when the boulder crashed down. Siffrin tends to startle at sudden noises. May have their own knowledge of previous attempts?

just like. Odile being super analytical and clocking 'no gdit that's weird talk to Siffrin' and then as soon as she talks to Siffrin (probably during the first snack break) and sees them react to being questioned going 'okay yes you totally know. so since you don't have a journal, how are you getting the information--oh you remember all this. you remember getting horribly crushed by a boulder. That's...'

The only word coming to her mind is 'oof' and she does not want to say that

Since I guess I'm constructing a whole AU about this here's some spider drawings. Also I think I'm keeping the name Weaver for the species.

I keep drawing belly buttons for some reason which I think it's bc i use them as reference points ? Anyway I got rid of nipples bc they're not mammals. They just have pecs with differing amounts of muscle and fat depending on the individual. Additionally I'm probably going to look up some spider species at some point for like, references in patterns/colors/different legs I could use for them, if only bc i currently only know "looong and thin" or "HAIRY LEGS" lmfaoo

They're long lived but it's in the 600-700 year range with a couple outliers being as old as 1000 years. They're also fairly magically gifted naturally, as in a lot of baby Weavers tend to have a natural magical ability. Of course everyone can learn magic, and they also use the Vannean system. Most of their magical prowess is geared towards enchanting, specifically in textiles and such.

ok so did anyone else jump at the lore potential and imagery and symbolism of joel walking down a long narrow corridor to a red door he created to end his series completely of his own volition only for the trap to not work and embarrass him in front of the spectators who were all watching at the time btw. so he just had to go off and kill himself with ender pearl spam. anyone else

It irritates me alot when people say that making medic more compassionate is ''missing the point of his character'' when he is literally shown to be in the comics.... did you miss the part where he showed concern for both sniper and miss pauling's well being in comic 5 and 6.

His actions are a combination of genuine attachment + clinical interest and these things do not cancel out one another. He is always pushing boundaries and going against the grain and i think this is what led to him losing his license in the first place. He felt stifled by the rules imposed on him.

He is shown to be extremely passionate so it makes sense that he would use his endless fascination with medicine as a way to show his affection. He loves his friends so he will find a way to make them borderline indestructible. Malpractice is his love language.
