Top-Quality Ditchers for Tractors in Minnesota and Illinois
When it comes to efficient farming, having the right tools makes all the difference. Proper water management is a cornerstone of successful agricultural operations, especially in regions like Minnesota and Illinois, where soil conditions and weather patterns can present unique challenges. A reliable ditcher for tractors is an indispensable tool for farmers, streamlining the creation of drainage systems, improving soil conditions, and boosting productivity.
Why Farmers in Minnesota and Illinois Need Reliable Ditchers
Agricultural regions like Minnesota and Illinois are no strangers to water management issues. With diverse climates and soil types, effective drainage is essential for preventing waterlogging, maintaining soil health, and ensuring crop success. Here's why ditchers are indispensable:
Water Management
Excess water can drown crops and lead to soil erosion. Tractor-mounted ditchers allow farmers to create precise drainage channels, redirecting water and preventing waterlogging.
Improved Soil Health
Proper drainage enhances soil structure by improving water movement, ensuring roots get the oxygen and nutrients they need to thrive.
Enhanced Productivity
Reliable ditching equipment speeds up drainage tasks, saving time and reducing labor costs, enabling farmers to focus on other vital aspects of their operations.

Drainage Management: Prevent flooding and direct water flow in heavy rainfall regions.
Irrigation System Installation: Build channels for even water distribution.
Landscaping Projects: Create functional or decorative features like trenches and water channels.
Utility Line Installation: Simplify underground cable or pipe laying.
Tips for Choosing the Right Ditcher for Your Tractor
When selecting a ditcher, consider these factors:
Soil Type: Ensure compatibility with sandy, clay-heavy, or rocky soils.
Tractor Capacity: Match the ditcher to your tractor's size and power.
Project Needs: Assess the required depth and width of your ditches.

Planted some bulbs today, not sure if they'll come up, I have never had much luck with daffodils, but the others were muscari, alliums, and irises, all of which have proven incorrigible when I planted them previously (still pulling alliums out of pots they were never planted in five years later).
#Earth and Stone#We will see? Idk I might not even be in this house to see them flower but I really could do with something going right#And it's better than the corner flowerbed just getting more and more overgrown#I like weeds but these weren't flowering and the whole front yard is weeds so a few spring bulbs more or less hopefully won't hurt#I DID dig up at least three caterpillars in the process though! Which has never happened to me before it's always worms I surprise#But I moved them all to another plant- there were two normal sized green ones and one massive brown one (a future moth maybe?)#Hope they make it#Just goes to show that even though there are literally no flowers or flowering trees planted round here except that buddleia#Which is attached somehow to the back of the bins and ravaged the front yard earlier this spring#That the weeds must be good for something if the caterpillars are thriving#No worms though which makes me suspect that the soil will not be good for bulbs#It's a very dry corner but then again it is a purpose built concrete raised flowerbed from the 1960s#It's always going to be an oddity#Unfortunately I also forgot where I planted some of them so the planting scheme may be a bit uneven in places#Eh I can cover it with seeds later if need be#Anyway trying to do something each day of October and this counts#I usually garden at my parents' house (mostly in pots too) so these will be the first bulbs I've planted at my own house#I tried to pick varieties that would come back every year

Lots of things to be said about Gundam SEED and SEED Destiny (and hoo boy, not all positive lmao), but dammit is it great to listen to 2000s J-Pop, from before "wall of sound anison" became a standard.
I can't tell when not letting songs "breathe" really became the norm, but while Macross Frontier (2008) still has some semblance of normalcy in its theme songs, by the time I started watching a lot of anime there weren't a lot of real radio-friendly songs in this shit.
#Gaëtan still watches animus at the grand old age of 30: will he ever stop being a virgin?#I watched the special edition movies before going to see SEED Freedom and holy shit the pacing is hilariously bad#especially for SEED because pretty much every bit of character growth is binned in favour of robot battles#SEED Destiny otoh has one of the dumbest protagonists I've ever seen so what can you do really#and watching Stargazer gives just a lot of whiplash because that shit is more in line with SEED than Destiny

July 2024: The Last Week
Last Sunday's harvest:
Monday harvest:
Wednesday harvest:
Thursday harvest:
Friday harvest:
The echinacea is looking a little rough since it has gone to seed. We could deadhead them but the Goldfinch have been enjoying them and we'd rather have Goldfinch than a second round of blooms:
Saturday harvest:
Seen while walking:
We've had four days of off & on rain that was sometimes been pretty heavy. The area behind our carport where we keep our compost bins gets flooded because the people that own the rental house next door covered a drainage grate with at least 3 inches of mulch. That water is ankle deep but I braved it to bring juicy vegetable scraps to the hungry black soldier fly larvae in our bins:
Sunday barbecue:
Sunday dinner. The meat is the only thing on this plate that we didn't grow in our backyard. That is Southern-style kale in the center prepared like traditional collard greens with onion & smokey pig... in this case, bacon:

bro wtf, this is late May weathers. get outta here.
#throws arms in the air in defeat#might as well start the tomatoes outside this year. kicks bin of seeds out the back personnel door#if we have more than 2 days above 95 degrees fahrenheit this summer I'm GOING to bite someone.#legit if it's too hot in the greenhouse where I normally plant veggies they all get noodly and stupid. we've made space in the hoophouse#in previous years but that's 1) a hassle and 2) RISKY bc if it DOES get seasonably cold out it's hard to heat it above 40*F in there.#which is Too Cold for tomatoes & peppers. like they'll live but they'll look so ugly about it. scarring and such. customers don't like that#I've killed off all my squash by moving them out there too early. it's sheet plastic and metal! with holes in the walls! it's not ideal!!!#spans of hot weather followed by regular cold temps means I get all these overgrown veggie plants and nowhere to PUT THEM. wailing crying &

It still hurts to think about the patchwork blanket and a snowman plushie(it was a time-limited merch and also a gift from a ice cream shop clerk) I loved as a child, and how my abusive mother forced me to throw them away 'because she doesn't like them'.
(She also made same excuse when I was teen/adult as she destroyed and threw away my belongings to the trash in front of my eyes.)
Real reason behind that was she just hated watching me being happy, even for a moment.
I wasn't able to be attached to anything after that experience. Especially towards objects or animals. Probably because I thought it's going to be taken away from me eventually.
Those two things were special to me, even if it wasn't expensive or most pretty looking.
I felt somewhat safe under the blanket, hugging that snowman plushie. Even in the chaotic environment I was living in.
But now they're lost to the time, burnt away just like the rest of my 'childhood'.
#Domestic Violence#Child Abuse#PTSD#C-PTSD#Abusive Parents#Narcissistic Parents#past memories#shitposting#one time she even killed my houseplants even though I cried and told her to stop. she was furious I said 'you killed it.'#I grew those plants from seeds I collected from the wild myself. I really cared about them.#she ripped the roots out of pots and threw them into the bin.#after complaining how she doesn't understand why I love them when they aren't even pretty in her eyes.#why?#why does it have to be pretty?

Bardagul Type of Rice Seeds, What?!
Tatay being a farmer then, always talked about the different types of rice seeds (bin-i in Ilocano, binhi in Tagalog). But he never taught me the correct classifications so I can only look at the ceiling wondering what the hell was he talking about while he’s doing his monologues on how CL8 is not that soft, or the RC10 that doesn’t yield that much compared to others, yadda yadda yadda. Then…

Play ideas for chronically ill, disabled, or otherwise bed bound/low energy littles
Hi all! I am chronically ill. I am not comfortable sharing my specific diagnosis, but I am more than okay with talking about disability in general. Everything below is based on my own personal experiences and activities I like to do while stuck in bed. Everyone's body and experiences are different. I may list some things that just aren't an option for you, and that's okay. You are more than welcome to add on to this post with activities you do too!
🐛 Open the curtains and cloud watch! I like to look for clouds that remind me of animals or characters and day dream a story about them. If the weather is nice, consider opening your window a little bit and letting some fresh air into your room.
🐦 Bird watch! I have a bird feeder outside my window that I painted myself from a kid's kit. There are also bird feeders that have suction cups that can be stuck right on your window. You can also make your own seed ornaments. You could pick yourself up a kids book or two on learning to identify birds.
🌷 Get a window planter. You may need someone's help to set one up, but once they are in place they are fairly easy to care for. I like pansies and marigolds because they remind me of childhood, and they are low maintenance and do well in containers.
📖 Audiobooks are great for middles who want to read chapter books. If you have a library card you can borrow tons of audiobook, ebooks, and comics through hoopla and Libby for free. There are some audiobooks for younger kiddo books, but honestly I think YouTube is better for that.
🖼️ Scrapbooks and journals! Being penpals with another little is also an option, but I do recommend using basic internet safety and common sense. (I don't think you should do this if you are under 18). You could always scan/take pictures of your letter and send it digitally to your penpal instead.
🛏️ If you spend a lot of time in bed, and have the money to do so, I really recommend getting items to make your time in bed more comfortable. Extra pillows, or even a reading pillow can be helpful. Lap desks or bed tables can give you space to color or set up play scenes with small toys.
🌟 You can also decorate the area around your bed to make it more child like! Fairy lights, glow in the dark stars, bed canopies, posters, and the like.
🪑 I have a floor chair I use for times I am playing outside of my bed. Being close to the floor helps me feel small, but not having back support hurts after a short while. I have an adjustable one that I can lay flat on the floor as a sleeping mat. Very helpful for the times when I need a quick nap after playtime.
🎨 Check the seasonal and kids sections at dollar stores and Five Below. I usually find fun craft kits that can keep me occupied for a bit for really cheap.
🧶 Do your own crafts! I like the knit and crochet. Some people can do them in bed, but I find it difficult to find a comfortable way to do that. However making friendship bracelets in bed works out pretty well. They make great gifts, even for non little friends. Or you could make matching ones for you and your CG or favorite plushie!
🪀 Make your own sensory bin! You can find tons of tutorials and ideas online. Bonus is you can get most of the items you would use at the dollar store. There are tons of other DIY sensory toys you can make as well if you look around. Glitter/shaker bottles are pretty popular too.
🐇 Cuddle with your stuffed animals. Tell them stories. Play pretend. Read to them. They will appreciate all of it.
🎮 If you have an old 3DS stuffed away in a drawer somewhere, pull it back out. 3DS are fairly easy to install homebrew and there are toooons of kiddo friendly games you could get (check 3ds.hacks.guide for this, do not follow tutorials on YouTube or random websites as they very well could be outdated)
💊 Decorate your medicine organizers with stickers. If you use mobility aids you can decorate them as well! Fake flowers are great for decorating mobility aids and there are tons of ideas you can find online.
🍼 I have stomach problems that makes it hard for me to eat enough. I often drink Ensure to make sure I am getting enough calories/nutrients. I get the strawberry flavor and sometimes put it in my sippy cup and pretend it is strawberry milk 😋
😴 If you need rest, rest! You deserve to get as much sleep as your body needs. Babies and toddlers take naps all the time! Trying to just exist with chronic health issues is difficult enough. You don't need to push yourself.

Went to take a pic of my newly cleaned kitchen, and heard nibbley noises from the box in my bathroom that contains all my medicinal plants and incenses. Oh no.
Open the box, little mouse eyes blink up at me. I’m like, “Awww shit what are you even eating in there?? Are you eating my medicine? That’s so uncool, man.”
So yea, at least two (2) mice in my house just ate maca and gingko biloba. I hope they remember I didn’t kill them when they’re boning with the natural Viagra they ate.
#I didn't end them#i emptied the box#then dumped them in the trash bins outside#washed all the jars and put them in a new box#they ate my Mullein seeds and my Purslane seeds too#RIP wild rocket seeds#they didn't eat my Synaptolepis kirkii though#mice#mouse#pests#too fucking cute#I have traps#but they ignore them utterly#i wonder how they foundthe blue water lily#i bet it was lovely#psycoactive#hallucenogenic#lol
