I imagine that Frost’s mental connection with people works kinda like a phone call (except you can actually hear the other person 100% of the time). So if the connection suddenly severs—like if Frost suddenly cuts the connection without warning, or something MAKES him cut off the connection mid-conversation—then the recipient gets a killer headache. I mean, Frost does too, but less so. So kinda like whenever you’re in the middle of a phone call with someone, and they suddenly hang up, except you take 1d4 psychic damage each time they do.

Also, on the subject of headaches, I imagine Frost is not only more prone to them, but also is especially prone to some killer migraines. Like, imagine the worst migraine you’ve had, and picture it 10x worse. Sometimes they can wipe him out for a week straight, if not longer (he once was indisposed for two and a half weeks after a particularly nasty fight). Those migraines he doesn’t get too terribly often, usually only if he’s 100% tapped out (no sorcerer points and spell slots), but he basically gets chronic migraines. The more he’s tapped out between long rests, the worse the migraine is. Frost has been basically dealing with a bad migraine the entire time they have been in the Feywild
