ooooh the star trek triumvirate…….. three men and their martyr complexes who each believes themselves to be incapable or undeserving of love showing insane care towards each other at every turn. they would each die before having harm come to any of the others. it’s this insane devotion that is the heart of the original series. it makes me soooooooo sick, an ostracized half human, a divorced self-depreciating doctor, and an impulsive traumatized starship captain. they all value their work above all things which alienates them from the people they care about, yet they would in the same breath abandon everything to save the other. kirk blows up his ship and loses his son!!!!! his two babies!!!! for the chance to bring spock back!!! bones gets driven near insane by hosting spock’s mind as a psi-null!!!! he’s ready to die again for the Non Guaranteed chance to revive spock!!! not to mention that they’re risking their careers and jail time. and it’s all in one movie, i’m losing it

One of the best things about the original Star Trek movies is that they’re allowed to swear, and the best thing about about that is we got to hear Bones call Spock a ‘green-blooded son of a bitch’

I know we all talk about Spirk in Wrath of Khan and Search for Spock but Voyage Home has some of my personal favorite scenes between the two of them.

I love their argument over Italian food, Kirk trying to get Spock to stop swearing, Kirk trying to get Spock to call him by first name again, and I especially love the scene where McCoy goes "He trusts your guess more than most people's facts".
