In general I believe in the supernatural but I still approach things with a healthy degree of skepticism. However if you tell me you saw something paranormal at sea I will 100% believe you no matter what. If someone tells me they saw ghosts on land I would need some proof before I’m onboard but if someone tells me they saw ghosts in the ocean I’d be like yeah man we all do

Life on the Seafloor

Some habitats are very consistent from planet to planet across the universe. The bottoms of deep oceans generally experience similar conditions—extremely high water pressure, zero sunlight, and a constant rain of organic debris known as marine snow. Thus, organisms on the deep sea floor of Veteris developed common traits in parallel to their counterparts on Earth. The darkness eliminates the need for most pigments, so most creatures are rather drab. In order to grab bits of food from the water column, many utilize grasping appendages covered in sticky setae. For every scrap of nourishment that can be found here, there is a creature that has evolved to exploit it. Far from being a desolate wasteland, this seemingly inhospitable environment is full of bizarre, perfectly-adapted inhabitants.

I have been recently thinking of my sea alien story so I drew my characters because why not :> The art is underneath and I’m also gonna rant about them

The red shark is Koa and the whale shark jellyfish hybrid is Siren. (I know sirens aren’t fish related but it fits her since she’s into singing too)

Their dynamic is frenemy kinda. Both of work similar jobs, but the only difference is Siren’s work is more professional while Koa’s job is more rebel like.

They bump into each other sometimes on missions, mostly if they’re after the same thing. They don’t really hate each other and are actually happy to see each (they won’t admit tho 👀)

The design process of a predatory quadrilaterian from the open seas of Chriirah. Their slender, hydrodynamic horizontal jaws slice through the water to catch sea-darts. The smaller, crushing vertical jaws break prey apart and draws it into the mouth.
