New Job, Who Dis?!

(Grim x Gender Neutral Reader)

Grim is now living rent free in my brain.

After completing the DLC ending of A Date with Death, I have decided it is my favorite ending and conjured up a little dialog. This oneshot hints to the endings outcome, so spoiler warning ⚠️. This was written quickly, so pardon any grammatical errors! Enjoy!

“Hold up, start from the top. What's my job description again?”

“Your job will be to give life back to those who aren't supposed to die. Sometimes, innocent people are caught up in things where losing their life was NOT part of the original plan. Because your soul harbors the essence of life itself, with you at my side, you'll be able to attempt to save those people who are at the presepist of dying too early.”

“Attempt?” You eye him quizzically from your place at your desk. Casper is sat at the foot of your bed, long legs outstretched, hands in his lap. He nods and continues.

“Basically, when a mortal is on the verge of death, their soul has become tainted with what we call a ‘blight’ or ‘blight of death’. Similar to ‘the taint’ for reapers, though much much harder to bounce back from when the soul or a mortals very existence is overtaken or ‘infected’ if you will. Some people can bounce back on their own, while others succumb and meet their unfortunate end. I say attempt because sometimes a mortal is beyond cleansing. The blight is too far gone, and no amount of divine intervention will save their existence....so naturally, when we, no, you receive cases like this, time is of the essence.

“I see...wow, that's heavy. No pressure or anything. Sheesh.”

“Yes. The job will be difficult at times. Y/n, there will be times when a person will be beyond help. You'll want to save them desperately. Times where no matter how much effort is placed into saving them, it may not work, and you will be angry. I can't tell you how many times I've witnessed an innocent person parish entirely too early at the hands of a twisted version of fate. Those moments are out of my hands, and I have to ferry them away regardless. But that's where you'll come in.” 

“Sooo I'm basically an angel??”

“No, they're grotesque creatures. They instill fear in humans and sugar coat their acts with pretty words. You'll actually give hope. Plus, you're much prettier than they are. Who really needs that many eyes and wings, honestly??? But anyways…”

You fall silent in deep thought.

“Y/n? Why are you screwing up your face like that?”

“Can I really do this, Casper? What if I mess up??”

“My sweetest, little nightmare. I'll be there with you every step of the way.” Casper smiles reassuringly.

“Thank God. OH! Do I get a cool ass scythe of my own, too?” You perk up almost immediately, wistfully looking at his impressive weapon that is currently leaning against your wall nearest the door.

“I...I'll never get used to the way you can flip subjects so easily. But yes, I guess. Once you're settled, we will get you fitted with a 'cool ass scythe'. Or at least a decent weapon you'll use to channel your soul energy. I know a guy.”

“You know a guy? That doesn't sound shady at all, but fuck yea!”

He chuckles softly at your enthusiasm.

“I'm glad you're okay with this decision. I really couldn't think of a better way for this to work out for both of us but-”

“But you have a big, sexy brain that was able to figure it out, now you're stuck with me foreeevvver.” You beam, triumphantly.

“I suppose I am, and quite frankly, I would have it no other way.” With a smile on his face, Casper stands, reaches for your hands, and pulls you to your feet.

“Awww, little reaper. Since when did you get so mushy? It makes me want to violate yo- I mean...I could really go for some food right about now. Yea, food. That's what I meant."

“...You really are something else. We will grab something on the way to my place.”

“Bet. Finally making good on us moving in together?”

“Obviously. I can't escape you.” With a chuckle, he brushes his nose against yours playfully.

“It was inevitable, Casper” You respond. The grin that spreads across your face makes his "supposedly" cold heart warm.

“Seems so…and by the way…”

Casper slips his arm around your waist gently, leaning into your ear.

“I'll take you up on that offer of 'violating' me later, my little nightmare.”

“You just want to be stepped on.”

“S-stepped on? What..uh...I”

“The blush on your cheeks says you do. Can't take it back now. Your fate is sealed. I hope you're ready.” you wink.

“Haaa....fuck.”

Question bout the roleswap au… since the upgrades still sorta exist for the abilities, just for the Kirby Cup

what happens to the Masked Hammer upgrade?

Fantastic question!!

So this is from an older post, but I think the arena mode would have to work differently in the Roleswap AU. So blueprints collected along the journey are still used to upgrade Kirby’s copy abilities- but since he’s not the main protagonist and is instead protecting Waddle Dee Town in the AU, blueprints would unlock new more difficult tournaments instead! The more abilities he has, the more Dedede and Meta Knight would learn and gain by fighting against those in a friendly challenge!

But yes, I have given some thought as to how the ability upgrades in this AU would work differently!

So in the Roleswap, Masked Hammer wouldn’t exist anymore. Dedede’s hammer would be the ultimate upgrade for the Hammer ability. It would have a few different moves than the canon Hammer or Masked Hammer ability but revealing any details on that is a massive comic spoiler, sorry! When the time comes I’ll explain.

I guess that also means I’d leave out Wild Hammer from the upgrades. But I’m not that mad about it hahaha. Toy Hammer has some unique moves AND that cool flying glitch anyway so I just like it more. Sorry, Wild Hammer fans :’O

So to balance those removals I’d add the Spear ability back in the picture! Then Primal Spear (aka the Prince’s scythe hehe) would be obtained after that in-game boss fight. I revealed this design a long time ago so I don’t consider it a spoiler anymore! I just can’t talk about the circumstances of that in-game or hypothetical battle in the comic’s story….

But by adding Spear’s evolution line to the equation, I think it would only be fair to make its final evolution themed after the wielder of one of the most powerful spears we’ve seen in-universe as of this post…

In conclusion, Dedede Hammer would be the ultimate version of the Roleswap’s Hammer ability. But then to keep things fair I wanted to make Meta Knight Sword the ultimate version of the Roleswap’s Sword Ability……

…..so I did. It just feels symmetrical and right to me.

I can’t talk about what happens to Morpho Sword ability in the AU at all. Part of the reason is so I can keep the trend of the two third-level ability evolutions after similar bosses, but there’s story reasons I can’t reveal. Very sorry. I’ll try to make the wait worth it for that answer.

But at least the Sworn Partners can have equal bragging rights now!!

They are secretly quite honored to be considered such adept users of their weapons, no matter what they choose to show on the outside. <3

It was the same thing with Zagreus and Hades, but I like how in Hades II the designs of Melinoe and Chronos are so similar. The shape of their outfits (well, the bottom half - belt and skirt, cause Chronos is too old for a shirt) is more of less the same, they both have some sort of metal collar and armguards (and hey silver/gold dichtomy).

But the thing I've noticed first is that Chronos wields essentially an older version of Melinoe's cover weapon. While she has a dagger (not important at the moment) and a sickle, his weapon is a scythe, and they are both agricultural tools first. Compare to Zagreus, whose weapons were all, well, weapons.*

Real curious if Supergiant will go the way of building an actual relationship between Chronos and Melinoe, could see it as well you trapped my family but you can't be killed so might as well see what your deal is. (if the heat does not kill me, I might even write a fic out of it)

*there is something to be said that when the protagonist is a man, he wields actual weapons, but female protagonist gets magical staves, skulls (that one is cool), torches (???) and more "feminine" weapons (daggers). The only thing I will call a weapon is her axe. She is supposed to be a witch, I guess? But still, give her a sword, she was training to be a living weapon since infancy.

FUCK what I said about the majority of significant changes to dialogue in Re:CoM being to adjust Axel's characterization, the most egregious change is actually this

if I had to guess, the reason for this change was because in GBA CoM, The Superior was a spooky, unknown being at the head of this Organization we had very little knowledge on, and for Vexen, the guy who runs his mouth constantly about how much better he is than the others, to be terrified of him, he must be some pretty scary dude. But then after kh2 we know him, it's Xemnas, he's very dramatic, he likes to talk to the moon, and the effect of your mind filling in the gaps about what "The Superior" must be like is gone. So it wasn't really necessary anymore, right?

Except... the way they changed it is so weird. In the GBA version, what's happening is pretty clear:

Marluxia tells Vexen that his project is a failure

Vexen demonstrates that he does not give a shit about Marluxia's opinion

he does care very much about The Superior's opinion, though, and Marluxia uses this to blackmail him into eliminating Sora- an action which is nonsensical, as the entire point of what they're doing needs Sora alive, making it clear to everyone in the room that he is deliberately sending Vexen to die

and then after that, when Vexen shows up to fight Sora, he goes "if you want to fight me for real you've gotta do it in the memories from the other side of your heart lol bye" and Sora goes "huh? other side?" and then it cuts to a scene on the top floor:

and then this gets more into subtext but here, Vexen has realized he's totally fucked and his only hope is to mess directly with Marluxia's plans (well, they were the Organization's plans, but it's pretty obvious by now Marluxia's abusing his power for his own purposes) by giving Sora more information than he should know. This does get the traitor gang worried enough to send Axel to go kill him (as opposed to just letting Sora take care of him, which was presumably the original plan)- he very specifically cuts Vexen off to keep him from saying too much (this is retained between the original and the remake)

Anyway, what happens in Re:CoM sort of follows the same order of events, but everything is changed slightly in a way that just makes things more confusing.

Marluxia tells Vexen his project is a failure and Vexen demonstrates that he doesn't give a shit about Marluxia's opinion, as before

Marluxia threatens Vexen with a weapon, rather than threatening to tell the Superior

this, notably, does not seem to faze Vexen very much. he continues to run his mouth while having the scythe pointed at him.

Xemnas is still leveraged- Marluxia points out it was the Superior who entrusted him with the castle

...even though reasonably Vexen would already be aware of this, and has still demonstrated that he has zero respect for Marluxia despite it

the lines about betraying the Organization being a capital crime are retained, probably because it's super relevant later, but then that line of thinking is abandoned in favor of Marluxia and Larxene just taunting Vexen instead

The part where Marluxia says "do it. you won't" could be seen as a sort of threat... if not for Axel's line: "You give a challenge like that to Vexen and he'll seriously want to eliminate Sora." It frames it all as though Vexen went to fight Sora out of some sort of pride.

And look, Vexen may have a temper and a superiority complex, but he's not stupid. They're obviously baiting him. Plus, what happened to him seeing himself as above the others and countering things he doesn't like with "well actually I'm higher ranked than you and also you're an idiot"? Is he that insecure in his fighting capabilities? I could deal with characterization changes doing him dirty if it didn't also make no sense in the context of the plot.

So now we have Vexen going to try to kill Sora, something that really makes no sense to do, out of pride. What was the purpose of sending Sora to Twilight Town? Also pride, over the fact that he managed to get that information? Giving the writing the benefit of the doubt, I could say that these nonsensical actions can be explained as evidence that Nobodies can have hearts and people with hearts do strange and rash things, but that just feels like a reach, which is bad because what they had in GBA CoM worked perfectly fine and made sense without any reaching for the "idk emotions make you do strange things" explanation.

It continues. After Vexen gives Sora the Twilight Town card in Re:CoM and Sora wonders about what the "other side" means, this is that version of the conversation the top floor members have:

...what? "If Sora disappears, that would mess up the Organization's plans"? what are you worried about? the only reason Sora would disappear is if Vexen killed him. there's no way they think Vexen being in Twilight Town would give him an advantage, right? they know he's a pathetic fighter. "Vexen has clearly committed a treasonous act against the Organization" HOW? HOW IS IT CLEAR? they don't express any worry about Sora learning too much, up until Axel says "I came to stop you from talking too much" when killing Vexen- and that being there makes it seem like they were worried about Sora learning to much, but if that's the case, why would they replace the perfectly serviceable lines in the above scene? it's just... baffling that they would want to lean into the narrative that Vexen going to kill Sora (which he'd been goaded into doing) is the problem here, because it just makes so little sense compared to what it was originally.

once again giving them the benefit of the doubt: Marluxia's real plan was to take over the Organization, and he saw an easy way to pick off one of the members, so he took it. the motive for stopping Vexen doesn't actually matter.

buuuuut it's the same as with Vexen earlier. Marluxia may be too self-absorbed and power-hungry to notice Axel is scheming against him, but he, too, is an intelligent man. he's plotted for a while, getting into Xemnas's good graces in order to be put in charge of the Castle. this is incredibly sloppy for him. I guess it could be said that getting so close to his goal would make him sloppy, but again, if they'd just left things the way they were in GBA CoM, I wouldn't even have to be saying this

in conclusion: GBA Chain of Memories' intra-Organization strife subplot is so tightly woven with calculated moves on all sides that Re:CoM changing certain things without taking into consideration the consequences makes certain parts of the plot fall flat and become far more confusing than in the original story

Suzune goes more for a Japanese theme to play off Tsubaki. Also let her child version be suitable for a child ffs. Her adult outfit has a funeral theme and would have more colours (I think I chose red here for Tsubaki but it would change with her magic)

Chisato and Arisa, probably the worst... Chisato has what looks like an actual fucking uniform and she isnt UNCOMFORTABLE IN IT ahem anyway... she also has a baton cause I guess I thought it would be more fun? She can have a gun too if she wants

Arisa's was changed to suit her more rough attitude and got rid of the scythe for gauntlets. Why did she have a scythe??? It did not suit her AT ALL. The stripes on her socks that didnt fit in before are now on her sleeves too and those ugly boots are gone too

For Haruka I want super far away from her original design (cause well, it's not winning any awards anyway) my inspirations were that she's meant to be princess-y as well as her doppel's name, Odette. So she has a princess/ballerina theme. I think it also suits her big sister feel. Also her pencil skirt was another thing that made me mad, ever tried actually doing anything in a pencil skirt? You can't, let alone fucking fight in it, sigh

Tsubaki! More interesting than just a kimono and hakama! I just spruced up her outfit a bit and gave her horns and masks to suit more with her abysmal doppel.

You've seen these two but here they are again, Matsuri and Kagari. Moth and butterfly themes. Got rid of Matsuri's ugly and out of place hands to a wand to suit with her being more of a traditional magical girl than Suzune. (I dont think I chose a weapon for Kagari here eh, maybe a fan?)

Everyone is alive, for some reason- My takes on Bloodmoon I and Bloodmoon II that appear on a one shot I wrote and a concept I shared here; Dagger and Rifle (placeholder name, I don’t know what else to call him :(), Rabies and Bleed

The Moon and Sun show- The ones from my swap au, which I am still counting because Fang has exactly one line which was meant as foreshadowing tho I don’t know if it worked cuz no one mentioned it; Scythe and Fang

The Bloodmoon One- The ones from… that au (which for some reason I made an alternate timeline for where they’re humans); Bloody and Harvest

Get in losers- The ones from my more silly au where everyone joins the family; Hunter and Harvest

The bffs- The one that got separated and became Jack’s friend, or has Jack as his emotional support bot, and the root world of the Virus!Jack event; Original

Now, having looked through my notebooks and writing spaces, and counting the six Bloodmoons we already have:

Let’s get into their lore, shall we?:

The tree at face value- I was experimenting with family set ups for the Celestials and decided to take things literally, Bloodmoon here would be the child of Eclipse. They were never named.

Creator sucks, deluxe edition- okay, okay, this one is weird, and I’ll admit I wasn’t really thinking it through when I made the concept, ergo it will probably come off as insensitive and weird, which is understandable because I was not thinking through what I was thinking. So, human au, Sun and Moon and Lunar have DID, both Bloodmoons are Lunar’s alters. That’s it. This is one of the two aus in which the twins are younger than 20. Lunar, Hunter, and Harvest.

The RaTc (pronounced ‘rats’)- short for ‘Redhead and traumatized club’, basically a place where I drop all my favorites//ocs that have so many things in common that I can refer to them as being ‘the same guy’. Bloodmoon II was the latest addition. Original and Adaptation

Uno-less afterlife- my take on the ghost versions of the dead SAMS characters, I’m planning to write a one shot for this one when Sun dies (or if, I guess). There’s the first Bloodmoon who’s half melted and kinda disintegrating, and the newer addition of a mutilated Adaptation II. Original and Adaptation, Copy Adaptation

This is what you wanted- that concept I shared sometime last month (?), Bloodmoon wanting to get reprogrammed and getting Eclipse to help them, and then getting amnesia. Ruby and Scarlet

DND mini phase- a simple doodle of Bloodmoon as a vampiric rogue, thing which I don’t even know if it’s possible. They weren’t named

Death game- … I may have watched a Danganronpa let’s play. Look, the concept is neat, and the character designs are cool as hell! That said, I did plan a whole au revolving around the SAMS characters being put in a death game, I’m pretty sure I planned to have the twins kill someone and get away with it because of a loop hole. Bloody and Harvest

Fantasy au- not restricted but definitely inspired by DnD, a magical world where there’s all sorts of creatures and places. The Bloodmoons were vampires that Eclipse got to work for him, and then got out of control. Ruin revived them as a demon on account of being a necromancer. Neither the first or second versions were named

Pure and utter regret- I… I might’ve… I might’ve shipped the twins and Jack at some point— It was a crackship and I don’t even ship them anymore, I‘ve adopted the ‘Bloodmoon is aroace’ headcanon, and y’know, canon is being canon for Jack. They’re really just friends now. Yet, I still have about three digital pages worth of them being all kissy and shit. I feel like shit. Fuck, I even had a name for them. I hate myself. They go by every single name ever given to a Bloodmoon (because this was purely a fun crack ship)

April fools actor au- exactly as it says, Sun and Moon started thinking of ways to bring engagement up for the channel, and then Eclipse popped up, and so they all ran the channel together, bouncing ideas off of one another, and so began the lore episodes. Bloodmoon is a bot that was made by Eclipse from some scraps of code he did originally intend to use to mess with the Celestial twins, now repurposed into a theatre kid. They probably have names but they’re only referred to as Original and Adaptation

I got infected by Magic Girlitis- I was watching a bunch of videos about Madoka Magica, and then I watched the ‘Will you press the button’ video, so now I have magical girl designs for Moon, Sun, and Lunar. I never got to them, but the blood twins would’ve had a really cool introduction and would’ve been a genuinely scary antagonist to our heroes. They weren’t named

Fragment of the ocean- I asked a friend of mine what I should draw for Mermay, they said mermaids and oceanic creatures, I accidentally created an au. Bloodmoon is an apparent human (has never been seen as a mermaid), who after being controlled and used by several people was adopted into the Foxy family. They also have DID, because human. This is the second au where the twins are younger than 20. Bloody, Scythe, Hunter, and Rabies

The DEMIURGE LAYER settles back over your vision, and the spooky halloween mansion situation resolves back into the sunlit chrome and glass of the DESIGN CENTER. Birdsong echoes through the courtyard park. You spot TACTICIA T. KARYDON chatting with ERIC SMUSTER about something inane again, and you snap at them to get back to work already.

As soon as they head back inside to avoid your wrath, you ensure the coast is clear and open the hidden path home in the west wall. The secret passage leads to a second enclosed courtyard, where your unassuming little house sits in the middle of a slightly overgrown garden.

You don't see the assassin monster. You hope it's not already upstairs in Dad's office.

You head inside and--

Choices Insiders September 2024

Here we are once more with the latest Insiders.

Undercut due to length of post

I was expecting this to be a multiple choice one, so seeing that it was one of those ones where you can type out an answer was fun, I mentioned about not using AI and including more than one female Love Interest in multiple love Interest books as well as more Trans and Non-Binary Love Interests.

The new skills look interesting. Curious to see how they will play into the story.

The scythe kind of reminds me of the one from the Dante's Inferno game. The Spellshot looks cool and so does the shield. I'm interested to see what the downgraded versions will look like.

I do like that they have paired characters together, kind of gives the vibe that they have grown and learned to work together.

I will not say not to another Cat. Be interested to see everyone's reaction to when we first see Flumph in the book (Especially Valax).

I still can't believe a 180 was pulled on this and a sequel got greenlit, never would have expected a BK3, but here we are and there are now complaints about more Gabriela from me!

I remember when we were getting books at least five out of seven days back before the pandemic. Good times. I'll be honest, I would prefer to see them spread it out again a bit as it feels a bit much having so many on just the two days.

A couple months usually seems to be the gap between VIP and Wide Release, but I did wonder if it might get pushed to December, glad to have confirmation and again, no complaints here about it being earlier than thought!

I think a spinoff that focuses on one of the other realms would be cooler, they definitely wrapped things up for the Fae in BK2, but it's like "you name drop these other realms and do nothing with it!" I do remember a merfolk realm being name dropped and I have seen so many people say about wanting a Merfolk book, and it would be interesting to see!

I'm curious as to what Inheritance will be about. Even with the image, I couldn't make any guesses.

Years Apart looks like it will be some form of Open Heart redo going by the hospital image, but going by the title, it makes me think that it will be another one of their power imbalance "forbidden" romances with the MC being a recent med school graduate and the Love Interest being a Chief or something. So it may be a pass on that one.

The current Wide Releases are definitely a mix at the moment. I gave up with Filthy Rich part way through chapter 1. Along Came Treble is one I fell behind on and just never go to catching up on (It's on the list to do). I have really been enjoying Deadliest Game. Rivals With Benefits I have only got to the end of chapter 1 on and I'm kind of meh about it. Hearts on Fire is getting interesting with the arsonist plotline, curious to see how it plays out. The Ghost Of Us I have been enjoying, again an interesting murder mystery with a supernatural spin on it.

I am ready for Terror Fest tomorrow! I've been hearing about how there are consequences with this one which is cool as it feels like there hasn't been anything like that for I don't even know how long haha.

Looking forward to the All Of Us books, curious to see how they have worked the different stories.

With Blades 3 being confirmed for November, it's safe to say that Plus One will be in October. I must admit, I'm not overly fussed about it, I won't write it off just yet and look at it when it releases and see then.

Having seen the cover for Bitten, it looks like it's going to be their version of Twilight. interested to see what it will be like as I do more often than not enjoy the supernatural books.

Choices Threequels always seem to have something to do with weddings in some way. Curious to see what the mystery will be, I know a lot have said it more than likely be the mystery of MC's father's death. Only one way to find out!

“I didn't exactly mean to go out in the first round, but I guess it’s not so bad if it’s to guys like you. Where are you from, anyway? You don’t really fight like a Valerian.”

Qrow narrows his eyes, scanning for any trace of mockery or insincerity in Twister’s broad grin and bright, dark eyes. He finds none, but still.

“Hey, tough guy, fight’s over,” he growls. “Back up.”

Twister just laughs, as if that was a joke. “I kind of wish I’d been fighting you instead of your buddy with the ponytail! Like, boxers versus boxers can get boring. What’s it like to try and dodge a scythe like yours? It’s quite the weapon, you should be proud of it! Those extenders that transform it from the sword mode, they move out pretty fast, don’t they?”

In spite of himself, the corner of Qrow’s mouth twitches up. So Harbinger Version 3.0 (and counting) is his pride and joy and weakness all at once. Bite him.

I love love LOVE interpreting Ruby and Yangs relationship as a better healthier version of Raven and Qrow even with all their ups and downs. I'm a sucker for inverse tropes and just, the girls mirroring the Branwens. Qrow seeing himself reflected in Ruby, his own hope and innocence through her eyes and actions and how she still held them true to her heart wheres he drowned his away. How Yang reflects her mother, to accept the fear in her heart and use it as a strength to protect and fight, wheres Raven let herself fly away. Wheres Qrow chased after Raven to get her back to the family, Yang follows Ruby.

both ruby and qrow looked up to someone so much that they fashioned their weapons after theirs ( it's ✨a cycle of scythes✨) and they really have that "i want to do good in the world, i want to be a hero" thing going onand, okay. can't say for certain but yang's original reason for wanting to become a huntress was the adventure, not because she wanted to become a hero and reading between the lines of "guess what the tribe sent the twins to beacon for", i doubt raven was ever there to be "a hero".

tho i'd say it's less qrow chasing raven and more raven showing up every now and then, qrow saying "come back" and raven going "no u". rinse and repeat lol

The Star Splitter: what could have been

hello!! as promised, here are a few ways The Star Splitter diverged from my original outline:

All of the Society of the Scythe world-building came after the original idea; I got that ask, outlined a bunch of it, and then as I was writing the original snippet I kept thinking about different ways to do it.

The setting was supposed to be the Department of Mysteries, with Draco as an Unspeakable, using Time-Turners to do all time traveling. Then I remembered how unintentionally dystopian and terrible the Ministry canonically is and ditched that.

This is probably obvious, but in the original, DoM version, Hermione was Chelsea. I still thought about keeping her in that role for the Society, because originally there was going to be a broader conspiracy where most of the Society went against Draco and she wasn't as much of a clear-cut villain, but redid as I went.

Jack was originally a canon character :~) but then I figured enough people would just automatically hate him that I decided an OC was better. His whole arc with Draco stuck pretty closely to how I wanted to do it, though, just with some personality tweaking. I don't want to tell you who, but if you can guess you will win a prize (my respect and enjoyment!!)

Harry and Draco were originally going to hook up at that first Society Ides of March party! I decided to go in a much more slow burn direction (and it just didn't make sense on Draco's end at that point, he genuinely thought Harry still hated him and wasn't more than passively attracted to him until after) but there is a very messy situationship sort of setup version out there. I'm happy with the direction I took instead. 🥰

Mega awesome HRE and Chibitalia art dump cause i’m on that high rn

These doodles are on my old AU I tried to make a game with friends for a gamejam but had to drop out but still forever haunt my mind begging to be made. I'm still figuring out a lot of the plot and ideas for the story i guess and playing with ideas and concepts of the world and characters. Mainly Death and Earth personified, since they're original creations ya know, especially Death cause they're kinda the antagonist. TLDR Whole plot of the story is that HRE is dying and Death was supposed to make it comfortable for him for giving peace of mind but they were sick and tired of it and kinda punished him for being a greedy power hungry little shit.

In these doodles they're supposed to be dancing together in a ballroom, the jig is up and Death is opening up to HRE and probably giving exposition, probably talk about how they were wrong to do that to HRE, why they lashed out and asking if he wants to do something before he takes his life for good. I have a few old doodles where I designed the dress and stuff, the scene was also drafted to still be in the dream world/ HRE unknowingly thinking this is reality so this was going to be his final moment before the big reveal and Death snapping. Was also gonna be a mini game maybe where you had to do a memory game to remember the steps

These are for when HRE finally discovers everything in the game/story was all just this dream world and he never got that closer with Italy or his brother and where Death gets frustrated and just has a whole rant about their true feelings about humans and the personified countries. The scythe is so shit im sorry. The dream world throughout the game keeps getting flooded with this black goo, which in reality is just this limbo space before a soul makes it to the afterlife, as Death has a harder and harder time keeping the world together and/or just to fuck with HRE and make him paranoid

Here is a alternative version where Death takes off the disguise, probably doing the same thing as the last one but ya know just a bit different. In my note I drabble the idea that the disguises are made with the help of Earth since death ya know kinda kills shit so they can't really create stuff, in this scene I also had a idea where (kinda gorey sorry) they even pull off the skin and hair to reveal their true skeleton form to HRE.

These were just fun doodles, played around with sketching with highlighter and going over in pen which was super fun. I also just wanted to draw Chibitalia, cause idk he's silly. These were kinda just warmups and experiments cause art block has been hitting like a TRUCK.

I hope one day I can still bring this idea to game form, maybe blow the dust off RPG maker or try to get a team together again to work on it but who knows. IN ANOTHERR LIFFEEEE I WOULD BE YOUR GIIRRRRLLLLLL

She's a red/big bad wolf combo, she's bi, she gets tragically underused like so many OUaT characters

She’s a werewolf :)

We first see her as Ruby in Storybrooke where she's initially depicted as a fun-loving flirt who spends her nights most likely in a bar while wearing revealing clothes that her grandma disapproves of (and is all in red. Absolutely everything). She lives with her grandma who runs a diner and that's where Ruby works. When Emma wakes up the sleeping town, she tries to leave Granny's and ends up helping in a case that Emma's working on by following her nose. That episode also has her backstory, but when we first see her as Red in the Enchanted Forest, she's confident and helpful and not afraid to use her lycanthropy. But the start of her story has her being an innocent young woman with a love for discovering the world and her boyfriend Peter (of Peter and the Wolf, I guess). She meets Snow while still living with her Granny in her cabin in the woods and takes her in. She's so hopeful - and then she turns into a werewolf and kills Peter (after they all thought he was the werewolf and had chained him to a tree). She is obviously quite traumatized by this and takes off with Snow. But that and her subsequent adventures gives her the growth she needs to be comfortable in her own skin, whether human or wolf. And, when the curse breaks completely, you can see the change in her - she would absolutely walk through fire to help Snow and the other good guys.

Another version where Red Riding Hood also ends up being the Big Bad Wolf. She eats her boyfriend which is sad but she falls in love with Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz in like Season 5. Her red cloak is what keeps her in human form which I think is neat. When all the storybook characters are transported to the modern world, she runs a diner with Granny.

She's one of my favorite characters from Once Upon a Time. She's a cool Red Riding hood wolf girl who is bi and has seen like 3 of her love interests and her mother die. She slays very hard so I nominate her. (Also I used to have a crush on her as a kid)

She is literally just based on Red Riding Hood and she's such an amazing character holy heck

Red Riding Hood but with a gun. (Specifically a combination scythe/high-impact sniper rifle called Crescent Rose). Also she's gone through so much she deserves it. She's trying to save the world and keep going despite all the people she's lost. Grew up dreaming of being a hero who fights monsters. She knows life isn't a fairy tale and wants to make it better. Just went through a mental health arc where she had depression from trying to live up to her (presumed dead) mom and from her friend dying for the second time. Killed the Big Bad Wolf with her magic eye powers. Her sister is Goldilocks and her friends are Beauty and Snow White. also I love her &lt;3

She’s the little red riding hood but also a powerful fighter with a massive fucking scythe that is also a sniper rifle and she’s so skrunkly and so gender. Also RWBY’s whole thing (well one of them) is that their characters are all inspired by pre-existing ones from older stories and Ruby’s the main character so like, poster child of ‘character based off [insert relevant fairytale here]’ so I think she deserves to at least get pretty far

Aesthetics, themes, meta, personality and raw coolness.

She is the main character of her show. The most common monster they fight is a type of wolf (its been a while since ive seen it). Her job is to hunt them down before they can eat her. this story is very much about failed fairy tales, many of the side character's inspired arcs end in failure, but (having not seen the most recent bits) Ruby is still going strong, and i really like her cape, rose petals, and use of a scythe.

She is THE RRH character of all time. She has a scythe that's also a gun and she has to be the hero because she's got super rare main character powers. She is my happy girl. Also her mom was Sleeping Beauty and her sister is Goldilocks, and she fights to stop Rapunzel from destroying everything on the world, the gods, and then herself.
