My Devilsona's Main Weapon: The Reavolution

I've decided to work on a new and more creative design for my Devilsona's scythe. It's called a Reavolution because it's a combination of the two words Revolution and Reave.

I plan to make more weapons for my Sona but I just wanted to get the main weapon out of the way because I couldn't stop thinking about designing it for the past couple of days.

Description:

The scythe is 7'0 tall (213 cm) because that's how tall my sona's father was. (For context my Sona's height is 5'10 tall (178 cm) and the skeleton behind the Scythe is actually their father's (Explanation will be next.)It's also made out of various steel and metal. The scythe design was inspired by the Undertaker's scythe from Black Butler but the name and the meaning behind the name was based on Dante's sword the Rebellion from Devil May Cry.

Meaning behind the Scythe:

Revolution means a forcible overthrow of a government or social order, in favor of a new system. Reave means to steal/rob or carry out raids to plunder. These definitions are important based on my Sona's life story which is why I named the scythe "The Reavolution".

Life Story (involving the scythe):

Once again, this scythe is made out of the skeleton of his father. Why would my Sona turn their father's skeleton into a scythe? Well, it's because of how he treated them growing up. His father treated them harshly and coldly all because my sona was assigned female at birth. Their father wanted his firstborn to be a boy and what's worse, my Sona's mother died while giving birth to them. So not only their father hated him for not being a biological man but he blamed them for the death of their mom.

Growing up, their father would just force them to train and to learn what he wanted them to learn. From fighting to basic education. He didn't show any type of love or affection at all but since they were still his child, he felt like they should get married so his bloodline could continue ruling the kingdom. So he tried to marry my Sona off at the age of 13 to his right-hand man.

My sona managed to escape, and they found their uncle on their mom's side to live with their uncle raised them and trained them their main goal was to end their father and to make the monarchy of their father's kingdom fall. So when they were strong enough they did just that. But they kept their father's body, ATE their father's body (My Sona is part ghoul. They got it from their mom and no I'm not talking about the type of ghouls from Tokyo Ghoul.) and kept his skeleton as a symbol.

The thing is the scythe that they had at the time belonged to their mom because their mom was a Grim Reaper before and they decided to follow in their mom's footsteps. So they went to a swordsmith and asked if they could fuse their mom's scythe with their dad's skeleton. So the skeleton is covered in metal/steel and is connected to the scythe. The chain whip just symbolizes the fact that their dad had a tail which is typical since their father was an incubus.

So basically my Sona did a Reaving and a Revolution against their father. Since their Father Reaved them of their childhood, joy, and the loving bond between them, my Sona decided to Reave his life, his corpse, his army, and his monarchy. The reason why they wanted to keep their father's skeleton in the first place is that they wanted to use it as a motivation they can get stronger and achieve whatever goals they have and their father's skeleton is proof plus even though they hated their father they still respected them because if it wasn't for him they wouldn't be as strong as they are now.

A silly jester! Finally got around to modeling Jevil from Deltarune in 3D since he has been requested by a lot of people! 🎭

I'm a big fan of his sprite design plus I've been meaning to make his 3D model for a while now. I already made a drawing of him for a Tumblr ask, so I loosely based my model off of it and posed him in a similar way (I like to call it the "let's take ibuprofen together pose" :')). While my drawing is a lot more exaggerated, I tried to tone my 3D version down to make him more sprite accurate while still maintaining a decent degree of stylization. Hope you enjoy the spinny jester man!! 🎭
