I'm still so very sad about many things but also specifically about Mumbo taking the Sahara merch down from his store. I completely understand why and respect his decision, and i think the company that works with him does the designs to order so that minimizes wastage...but Sahara was one of my favorite hermitcraft projects ever and such an ambitious redstone design and all their season 6 shenanigans meant a lot to me.

I'm no stranger to still loving the *work* despite the terrible actions of one of the creators (orson scott card hates everything I am and Speaker to the dead is still a great book lol) but its evident Sahara means a lot to Mumbo, and it couldn't be easy for the hermits as Iskall was a member and friend for so many years. I don't mean any more speculation to this post other than this whole situation is upsetting and *doubly so* for the victims and Vault Hunters community that directly financed or were employed by him full time. This doesn't just concern fan culture but peoples livelihoods.

•Sammy was actually originally a writer for the series but then filled an empty role for the series for a bit until they found someone perfect for it but than Sammy kinda just became the perfect person for the role

•Shelly and Kath actually met at a coffee shop where Kath use to work at in highschool

•Louise and Joey actually was actually happily dating for around 10 years and actually purposed on set, the wedding episode was not planned

•Mark makes music with Sahara they're roommate's actually!

•Liam would drag Carson along for yoga sessions

•Sebastian and Sammy actually go way back to like preschool days, the two grew up in a small town and later on moving into the city together

•Sammy and Carson actually met in a very interesting way (I'll get into it in another post)

•Xornoth was actually played by sausages twin brother, so they'd put him in like a whole suit and like this thing had leg attachments because he had to look tall

•every Sunday everyone in the cast would bring something to set for everyone to eat, and the one predictable thing that will always be there is a pile of milkshake, no one knows who brings in milkshake still

PERSONALITY

-He is really calmed and quiet during the reunions, but during his free time is pretty animated. Also, he's difficult to anger and usually just a glance is needed to made most people shut up and obey, except for a little group of people. And when he's on what he calls "the storm zone", it's like he loose every hint of calm and just start fighting as he was a hurt animal (that happens normally when is a hand-on-hand fight).

-He never really intervene on the team relationship with others teams, while they work good and without slowing them...it's fine for him. Yet he keeps an eye on the team they are working with.

-Luke's analytic when is in and out of missions, taking quick decisions. However also he is a little impulsive when they are on the battlefield, which it can be a problem sometimes.

BIOGRAPHY

Born in Rochester, New York, he is an only child. Since the very beggining he had loved everything related with cars and any kind of mechanics. And as his personality is analytic and he pays lots of attention to the details, he used to help his father in the workshop. The scar that cross his eye was caused when he was a teenager, running across the beach during a trip to Florida he fell down and cut his skin with a broken bottle, fortunately it wasn't something that affected his eyesight.

At first he wanted to help with the workshop or work with a big company, so he studied mechanical engineering on Cornell University. Once he graduated, he started to re-think his life decisions and his goals. While he thought if go to the workshop or apply to a company, the opportunity of enlist in the Army appeared. It called his attention and he decided to try, surprisingly for Luke...he found a vocation inside it.

He was well recived with his degree and as the years passed, he noticed that being part of the infantry was his role. The Army made him even more focused in little details and usually he helped with the Humvees when the other were overworked. More years passed and he became a Ranger, and hell if he wasn't proud. His superiors sent him to Colombia to train with other soldiers inside the Lancero course, he succeded and keep the badge with him as a good luck amulet.

He was the first member picked by Alicia to be part of the Specters, and at first he was reluctlant but accepted the offer. Luke didn't thought that Alicia really would want him to be her right hand man, since some superiors didn't specially liked being corrected. Again some time passed and he noticed that her trusted him with that, so he took as his unoficial work to keep far Alicia from doing dangerous things, even if himself sometimes do some too.

The first time he got pissed off with his Captain was after a mission on Western Sahara, she was stabbed and didn't went to have any kind of medical atenttion until the stitches broke. It was a tense time to the team inside Black Tomb until they were to Hawaii looking for Francis, where Alicia explained a bit about her reasoning.

He never said anything, but from then on he has talked to her more frecuently off duty, worried that she could do something with no return. Bit by bit they have become friends and he has helped with some...not so legal things (the scandal about Elijah's old superiors for example). He cares a lot for the team and is happy seeing how similar to a family they had become.

SKILLS

-Expert on the mechanics of most of the vehicles.

-Survival expert.

-Has had some missions on every kind of environment, and so he became adaptable into every situation. However he prefers desertic environments.

COMBAT

His combat style is focused on strength. He uses the military combat he was teached, and his first choice weapon is a Bowie knife. Even then with the years he has learned MCMAP. Alicia, Marcus and Alexander have taught him.

Is it legal? Probably not, but they don't care while no outsiders know about it.

TRIVIA

-He have his own car, a white Honda Civic, but borrows Alicia's car because he likes it more. She never says anything, but he's the only one she entrust with her car.

-Definitely he'll never admit that accidentally he took a PhD level class during a half semester thinking it was part of his pensum. It was Southeast Asian History and he understood...nothing, basically nothing. He only noticed he took the wrong class when a classmate told he had the wrong classroom. Yet, he keeps the books he bought and sometimes he lends a couple to Alicia.

-There's something that made him won reprimands from Alicia and Jackson. He overwork himself A LOT, so usually the Captain has to go and drag him to the medic bay or the common room. Jackson just sighs and ask for patience when he ends in the bay barely standing awake.

-He always says that's a long story how he get his callsign, but it really isn't. When he first joined everyone thought he was from Harlem, no clue why, but soon all the recruits called him like that "Harlem". Luke decided that it sounded good and it stayed until now.

-His favorite drink is tea and sometimes he jokes that he's somehow british, but also drinks many cups of coffee. And his favorite food is probably pizza, he loves it and eat it whenever is possible.

-There has been one time where he was angry, not to the point to be in the "storm zone", but was scary anyway. It was when Wraith threaten to lock him and Alicia outside Black Tomb. He wanted to beat her in that moment as he thought on the nerve of the agent for threat them inside THEIR base.

okay so grians species is actually kinda complicated

he was born as game watcher, an animus nightwing working under his mentor, secret keeper. he helps to organize tournaments between tribes on the mainland, tournaments that frequently end up going to death, a bit like scarlet's battle arena. though, one day, he got too attached to a participant in the game, which is a big no no and secret keeper cursed him to become a "lazy, bumbling rainwing for the rest of his days"

he moves permanently to the mainland and into the rainforest, plotting his vengeance and trying to find out how to cure himself.

since he looks like a very. weird rainwing though jimmy and joel end up finding him and trying to recruit him to their little hybrid clique.

jimmy is a rainsea hybrid named canary and joel is a rainmud hybrid named leaf. they're kinda the weirdos of the rainwings and, because grian is 1. generally bad at "acting like a rainwing" and 2. looks like a weird sort of hybrid of some kind, they take him under their wings for a while.

while out one night, trying to find that portal to the nightwing island, grian is ambushed.

when he wakes up hes in the scorpion den, ran by cleo, a skysand hybrid named cobra. she gets to be nicknamed king cobra cause I think its it's fun. turns out theres a small bounty on his head, but cleo will spare him (for now) out of good faith, them both being hybrids and all.

scar is the one who kidnapped him. formerly named sahara, scar was renamed after gaining all his battle wounds. hes like the quibli to cleos thorn. scar doesnt exactly appreciate cleos generosity, but he doesnt do anything further. hes just tasked with showing grian around, hes essentially his assigned best friend. neither of them care to much for it.

one day the skywings raid the scorpion den, lead by martyn, who is named general mars. grians wing gets injured in his and scars escape, cleo is captured.

scar wasnt able to fly anyway, but he refuses to leave grian, carrying him away on his back.

they are left stranded in the desert and become closer, grian still trying to find a cure for his curse. jimmy and joel are still looking for him.

some extra things:

tango is an overcooked skywing with too much fire, though he isnt with the skywing kingdom, hes actually imprisoned there. his name is blaze. also gay rancher love

lizzie is the seawing queen who's name is axolotl. she and jimmy are half siblings and shes been searching for him since his egg was stolen from the hatchery. his egg was yellow, btw, so shes looking for a yellowy seawing. his name was going to be cod. she and joel meet and fall in love at first fight.

scott is one of her ambassadors and friends, helping her try to find jimmy. his name is seafoam.

pearl is grians sister, her name is, of course, pearlescentmoon, named that mostly just because she was born on a bright bright night. she can see into the future and she desperately wants to return her brother to a normal life.

cub is an icewing named polar (last name bear lol. cuz. cub.) and he and scar met when they were both taken as prisoners. they're besties but dont talk often. etho is also an icewing, his name is icicle.

ren is the skywing king, his name is just red. they call him the red king.

this is fairly new so I haven't done much work on it this is kinda all I got rn

Happyhoganon AU Questions: How well would things go if eighty five year old Superman and eighty three year old Wonder Woman joined the JSA, with the original Flash (Jay Garrick), the OG Green Lantern (Alan Scott), Hawkman and Doctor Fate (Kent Nelson) welcoming them to the team...which they also see as a family? Also, how many family members they'd have by this point in their lives?

Diana is immortal. She stops growing old the moment she reaches adulthood (say...around 25YO, give or take). whether she's 83 or 1178 is irrelevant. She'll look the same. Don't you remember one comic in which she's said to be 5000 YO and she's the exact same? Don't you remember Queen Hippolita, her mother, has been around since 2500 B.C. and still looks like her sister?

We, immortals, don't age. Not like you mortals anyway. We gain experience.

As for Kal-El, as long as he's under a yellow or white sun, his cells renue constantly, so age is not a concern of his either. He being mortal, still suffers from aging, but at a much slower pace. Since DC Comics never bothered to establish some chart for that, it's anybody's guess, but I don't think we'll realistacally see him with graying hair on his temples until...say...500 years from now.

Members of JSA and JLA will be Pyramids in the Sahara before these two look 85 and 83.

Not having the urge for procreation Zeus or the ancient gods had, Diana and Kal will settle for two offsprings, a girl and a boy. Specially seeing how worried humans are they will create a race of superpowerful freaks to take over the World. Also, they are not sure what would come from the mixture of their incompatible DNAs + magic. Caution is the word. Procreation is still an experiment for them. Selene, the first, came out alright. A bit taller and blue haired, though. Aster started talking within days of existence. Not a red flag per se, but a yellow one nonetheless. They can wait and enjoy their family as is until the kids reach adulthood. Both, Diana and Kal-El will remain fertile for several ages of our planet. There's no rush.

Considering an honor to be accepted among other protectors, Diana and Kal let them establish the pace they impart justice. They contribute with ideas and methods, but recognize their seniority and knowledge. Only a few times they saw the need of going rogue and do things their way, when there was no advancement in a particular subject and the danger was still a concern.
