Scott Lang and Gladys were introduced in Avengers 181, cover date March 1979. They were created by David Michelinie and John Byrne. The issue saw Hawkeye, Black Panther, Thor, Yellowjacket, Black Widow, Hercules, Ms Marvel, Captain Marvel, Wonder Man, Jocasta, Quicksilver, and Moondragon cut from the team by Henry Gyrich as a condition of reinstating the team's security clearance with the government. Gyrich informed them that the team could only have 7 members now. The members he had chosen were Iron Man, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Beast, Captain America, Wasp, and Falcon. To further annoy those not chosen, Gyrich made it clear that Falcon was chosen for diversity reasons. To make matters worse, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch mysteriously collapsed. I don't know who needs to hear this, but there were bad MCU films prior to Phase 4. If you go into a MCU film expecting every film to be a blockbuster masterpiece cause you haven't been around since 2008 to see the piss warm reception the first and second Thor movies received along with Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and the first and second Ant-Man movies then welcome to the fandom and get your head out of your ass. Because it is statistically impossible that every Marvel project or CBM in general is going to be AMAZEBALLS.

That's just how real life works. So get with the program, and stop ruining shit for everyone else with your negativity.

It's not the movies or superhero fatigue that's the problem. It's the fandom.
