Photo Booth | Albus Potter x Scorpius Malfoy Oneshot
Tumblr media
Prompt idea from @blue--ingenue
Scorpius is practically pressed against a shop window, peering at the different types of cameras on display. Albus has noticed how fascinated Scorpius got whenever they passed by a technology shop.
“This is… incredible.” Scorpius begins, eyes wide. “These things are all so cool. Cameras, phones, computers… these muggle inventions are incredible”
Albus just chuckles at his reaction. “I’m surprised you're so into these cameras considering ours are magical.”
“Precisely - I’ve been using magical cameras ever since I was little. I have no idea how these could possibly work.” He pointed at the display of photos near the window. “I’m dying to know how they produce pictures without magic! I feel like we should go inside!”
Albus laughs and nods, letting Scorpius pull him into the shop. It’s small and a bit cramped, but packed with electronics and little gadgets. Scorpius looks around like a kid in a candy shop, immediately heading to the section with cameras.
Albus follows him to the camera section and begins inspecting a few of the cameras on display, fascinated by the technology. “This is insane.” He mutters, adjusting a few of the settings to see how they work.
“I know.” Albus says, smiling. He looks over at Scorpius who’s fiddling with the settings, looking concentrated. He’d be lying to himself if he said he didn’t find his boyfriend's fascination with cameras adorable.
Albus watches as Scorpius continues to examine the cameras, feeling a fondness in his chest. He could happily stand here and watch him play with the cameras for hours.
Scorpius picked up another one of the cameras, messing with its settings as well. He suddenly turned it and pointed it at Albus. “Smile!”
Albus blinks for a moment as he processes Scorpius’s words before giving him a small smile. As soon as he smiles, Scorpius takes a picture of him. He grins triumphantly as he looks at the photo that he had just taken.
Albus leans in closer to look at the photo as well. The photo shows Albus smiling directly at the camera, looking a little caught off guard by the sudden picture. “See? You look handsome even when not prepared for a picture.” Scorpius teased.
Albus rolled his eyes, his cheeks turning pink from the compliment. “You just took a picture of me without warning, of course I didn’t look prepared.” He smirked.
“I gave you a warning by saying the word smile.” Scorpius continues to tease with that contagious grin of his. Albus rolled his eyes again, still blushing a little. “That hardly counts as a warning in advance, you git.” He nudged Scorpius playfully.
As they continue with their bantering back and forth one of the employees makes their way over to the two. “Do you need help with anything?”
Albus and Scorpius both turn to face the employee, caught off guard by the sudden interruption. They look at each other, a little stunned, before Albus gathers himself enough to speak. “No, we’re just browsing,” he says with a polite smile.
“Actually,” Albus says before the employee walks off. “We’ll take this camera.” He points to the camera in Scorpius’s hands.
Scorpius looked down at the camera in his hands, surprised by Albus’s sudden decision to buy it. “Really?” he asked, a grin slowly spreading across his face.
Albus nods. “You like that one right? If you want a different one that’s fine too.” He begins to ramble making sure Scorpius didn’t want a different camera.
Scorpius shakes his head, stopping Albus’s rambling. “No, no. I do really like this one. “A small smirk tugs at the corners of his mouth. “You just surprised me, that’s all.”
A smile returns on Albus’s face as he takes the camera from Scorpius’s hands to give it to the employee.
“Let me get the box for this and I’ll meet you back at the register.” the employee says kindly as they begin to walk off.
Albus and Scorpius nod and begin walking towards the register to wait. As they’re waiting, Scorpius nudges Albus with his elbow. “You didn’t have to buy this, y’know. You didn’t have to buy anything.”
“I know but I wanted to.” Albus shrugged. Scorpius smiles at that and reaches out to link his hand with Albus’s.
While waiting Albus notices something out of the corner of his eye taking a mental note of it as the employee returns with the camera just then and starts ringing up their purchase.
Scorpius watches as the employee rings up the purchase, barely able to conceal the excitement on his face as he thought about the camera that Albus had bought for him.
A smile forms on Albus’s face at Scorpius’s excitement. He’s always so much more smiley whenever Scorpius is around.
The employee finishes ringing up the purchase and tells them their total. Albus quickly pulls out his wallet to pay them. He can feel Scorpius practically shaking with excitement next to him, making his own smile grow.
Once the transaction is complete, Albus turns to Scorpius and holds out the bag to him. “Here you go. It’s all yours now.”
Scorpius takes the bag carefully, almost as if he feared that the camera inside was going to explode, and pulls it close to his body, grinning from ear to ear.
“Thank you,” he says, his gratitude evident in his voice. “Now come on I saw something I think will really get those wheels in your mind turning.” Albus says pulling him deeper into the store.
Albus’s vague statement piques Scorpius’s curiosity, and he lets himself be pulled deeper into the store. They quickly find themselves in front of a photo booth and Albus smiles excitedly at him.
Scorpius looks at the photo booth and then turns his gaze to Albus, a mixture of curiosity and excitement on his face.
“A photo booth?” He raised an eyebrow at Albus, a small smirk playing at the corner of his lips. “If you think cameras are interesting just wait and see how this works.” Albus grins.
Scorpius’s curiosity was now fully piqued. “How does it work?” he asks, walking closer to the photo booth and examining it.
Albus lightly pushes him into the booth before following right behind. “Best way to learn is to watch.”
Scorpius stumbles into the booth, surprised by the sudden push, and then turns to watch as Albus closes the curtain behind them and joins him inside the cramped space.
Albus fishes out some spare coins from his pocket and inserts them into the machine. “Okay so there will be a countdown on this screen so make sure you pose before the countdown ends.”
As he inserts the last coin he says one last thing. “I think this machine takes four photos.” Scorpius listened intently as Albus explained to him how the photo booth works. His face lit up at the information, eager to try it out.
“Four photos, got it,” he repeated, nodding his head in understanding. The machine lights up and the boys blink from the extra sudden lights before the countdown appears.
As the countdown appeared on screen, Scorpius felt a sudden sense of urgency. “Albus! We have to make four different poses!” he whispers urgently, slightly panicked by the time limit.
Albus chuckled as he saw Scorpius’s panicked expression. “Relax, Scorp. We have enough time to make four different poses.”
3…
Scorpius places his bag in front of their feet before standing back up.
2…
He glances at Albus as they still aren’t in a pose. His eyes dart around as he tries to think of a pose for them to do.
1…
Scorpius throws himself into Albus as he tightly hugs him. That’s the only thing Scorpius could think of as the countdown was stressing him out.
Albus almost stumbles backwards from the force of Scorpius’s unexpected hug, but he quickly steadies himself and hugs Scorpius back. He grins as he looks down at his boyfriend, thinking that the panicked hug was adorable.
As they sway in the hug and finally get their balance back they turn to face the camera and see in bold letters ‘Thank You! Please collect your photos down below.’
“We’re done already?” Albus asks, surprise evident in his voice. Scorpius grabs the photo card that the machine printed and can’t help but laugh.
As they both look at the photos Albus joins in on the laughing. All four photos were of their singular hug. Each photo was slightly different due to the force Scorpius put behind the hug.
The pictures were all slightly blurry, but captured their hug in various stages. In the first photo, they were both off-balance and stumbling backwards.
In the second, they were just managing to regain their balance. The third picture showed them standing still in a hug, and the final photo captured them looking at each other with such adoration in their eyes.
The pictures were all so candid, so real, and Albus couldn’t help but think that they were perfect. He looked over at Scorpius with a smile, seeing the same adoration in his eyes as in the final photo.

Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Let’s spread the self-love! ❤️
oh my god! this is such a nice ask, and i've had a v bad day so far so i'm going to take a moment to let myself cheer up with some self-love <3
the quidditch fic herself!! heaven knows i've tried – maaaybe this is the recency bias talking, but this is some of the most fun i've ever had writing a fic. it's also my first au fic, and combines so many of the things i love so much! (hinny, the first season of ted lasso, roy kent, banter, quidditch... need i go on?) i also ADORED getting to brainstorm this fic with @solongdaisymayy and @starlingflight this is a universe i adore, and one i'm REALLY looking forward to returning to
laugh with me (buddy) – i HAD to include this one <3 so much of my own grief and my own feelings made it to this fic, and writing it got me through a very tough time in my life. it was also just my first foray into george/angelina, and that is a love story that has endured!
all the pieces fall – my scorbus getting-back-together fic! i love next-gen, i love the potter siblings, i love writing about gavin sinclair being a twat, and i love scorbus. this entire fic was a win for me, personally
noble and most ancient – or, my oneshot about how sirius black came to run away from his house. i remember talking about this fic with @ashesandhackles for a couple weeks before i finally came around to writing it, and the fun memories of that alone mean it has to be in the top five!
funny story – this is a george/angelina oneshot i forgot i wrote until two days ago (once again: recency bias) but... it was fun and i enjoyed writing it!

you are my sunshine - scorbus oneshot
Scorpius ran through the park, bright gray eyes glistening in the sun. Albus marveled at his beautiful boyfriend as he ran wildly through the grass, every so often stopping to admire a pretty flower. Albus held Scorpius’s hand, amazed by how perfectly they fit together, like how two puzzle pieces meant to be connected. Sunlight kissed Scorpius’s creamy pale skin, and Albus thought he was staring at an angel on Earth. Outside of school, Scorpius seemed so at ease, not needing to worry about the opinions of others. He really was incredible.
Scorpius ran a hand through his wavy white hair, and he turns toward Albus, who has an awestruck expression. It makes him laugh.
“Now what are you smiling about?” Scorpius teases.
“You’re preeeetty,” Albus says in a mock shy voice. “The sunshine really suits you.”
Scorpius presses a hand to his mouth, stifling a giggle.
“Oh, you,” He says, leaning down to kiss Albus softly.
Albus feels the entire world melt away. Scorpius’s cold hands feel refreshing in Albus’s hair, and Albus’s hands find their spot on Scorpius’s waist. Albus thinks that if this moment never ended he would be happy forever.

Wake up sleepy head
Scorbus prompt from @abi-the-gay (sorry if I missed any details). Albus sneaks off to Malfoy Manor after a nightmare, and he and Scorpius get caught by Draco walking in on them asleep together the next morning.
Tumblr media
A flash of green light exploded in front of Albus’s eyes, and her face... her face grinned right back at him.
She was holding something, no... someone. Her arms were wrapped around a blonde boy, long fingers creeping towards his neck, like vines. Scorpius. She had Scorpius. Albus tried to scream, to yell, to call out Scorpius’s name, but no sound came out. He couldn’t move, he couldn’t stop her from pulling out her wand and pressing it to Scorpius’s temple. Albus looked into the boy’s grey eyes, desperate and pleading. And all he could do was watch.
“Avada Kedavra!” Another flash of green light bursting into his bedroom as Albus suddenly lay awake, panting, sweating, terrified.
Scorpius. Where was Scorpius? Everything Albus had seen had felt so real, so vivid. His stomach dropped as he had the sudden, awful thought: what if it was real?
He sat up in bed, his mind running at a mile an hour. He had to see Scorpius. Now. Sending a letter would take too long. He wanted to see his... he wanted to see Scorpius.
It was still late, dark out. Everyone was fast asleep. No one would notice if he snuck downstairs and used the floo network to visit Malfoy Manor.
Albus didn’t risk turning the lights on; he knew his house like the back of his hand, so he managed to reach the living room fireplace with little mishap. Albus took a handful of floo powder from the pot beside the stokers. The fire had long since died out, but the coals were still hot enough for the powder to work.
“Malfoy Manor!” Albus instructed, as loudly as he could without alerting the rest of the house, which still left his voice barely above a whisper. He hoped he wouldn’t get splinched on the way there.
Green flames erupted around him, and he had to close his eyes; too reminiscent of his nightmare. Of Delphi. Of Scorpius.
Before he knew it, he was thrown out the other side of the floo network, regaining his balance on the polished floor of Malfoy Manor. It was dark. Quiet. Was that a good sign? Or a bad sign? Albus wasn’t sure whether he wanted to find out or not.
But he had to. He couldn’t leave without making sure Scorpius was alright.
And that’s when he suddenly realised: he had no idea where Scorpius’s bedroom was. And it was a big house. He could be searching all night.
Albus began on the next floor up, up the large, winding staircase. The first few rooms were rather sparse, uninhabited, and one of them- which made Albus hold his breath upon entering- was Draco’s room. Albus closed the door behind him as silently as he could.
He stood for a moment and pondered his next move, soon spotting a door at the far end of the hallway. As he drew nearer, he noticed some sort of trinket hanging from the doorknob, a kind of lucky charm perhaps. Scorpius was relatively superstitious. This must have been his room.
Albus slowly opened the door, his heart beating faster in trepidation at what he might find. As his eyes adjusted, he saw a figure underneath the covers of a bed, in the middle of the room.
“Scorpius?” Called Albus in a whisper. “Scorp!”
The figure moved, turned around, and switched on the oil lamp beside his bed. The light illuminated the faces of the two boys, and Albus was so relieved to see Scorpius alive and well- if a little perplexed- that he almost started shaking. Scorpius noticed his slightly panicked disposition.
“Albus, what are you doing here? What’s wrong?” Scorpius was clearly concerned, and Albus felt bad for waking him up. Of course it was just a dream, you idiot.
“I’m sorry, I just... I just had to make sure you were okay.”
“Another nightmare?” Albus nodded. Scorpius moved over and opened up the covers.
“Do you want to stay?” He asked, and Albus gladly accepted, thankful that Scorpius didn’t ask anymore questions, such as how he had got there or what the nightmare was about. He simply let Albus snuggle up beside him and settle into his arms, exhaustion washing over both of them.
“I can read if you want?” Scorpius suggested, a murmur in Albus’s ear.
“That would be nice.” Scorpius reached over Albus to pick up a book from his bedside table.
“It’s a muggle book,” Scorpius explained. “Rose sent it to me a few weeks ago. I’m already halfway through, but I’ll start again from the beginning.” Albus tried to listen, really he did, but as soon as Scorpius started speaking, his soft, calm voice meeting Albus’s ear, Albus immediately felt his eyes start to close.
“This Side of Paradise, by F. Scott Fitzgerald,” began Scorpius, and within moments, Albus was fast asleep.
————
The following morning, Draco was sat at the dining table in his dressing gown, sipping his morning coffee and reading the Daily Prophet. He was about to check on Scorpius, thinking it odd that his son wasn’t up yet. Scorpius was usually awake way before him, a morning person through and through.
Draco finished his coffee, folded up the newspaper, and began his ascent up the flight of stairs towards Scorpius’s room. Reaching Scorpius’s door, he knocked lightly, receiving no reply. Draco was starting to get worried now, so he allowed himself to enter.
His son wasn’t alone.
Scorpius opened his eyes as he entered, and froze. He tried to nudge awake the sleeping figure beside him.
“Al. Albus, wake up,” he whispered frantically. Albus? Thought Draco. Albus Potter? Albus groaned lightly, and mumbled something inaudible. Never had Draco felt so awkward in his life, and he coughed nervously, finally alerting the boy beside Scorpius.
Albus turned around- and Draco could see that it was indeed Albus Potter- and immediately turned back, facing away from Draco and burying his face in Scorpius’s chest, muttering something about not being able to deal with anything today.
“Dad, I can explain...” Scorpius began, but Draco interjected.
“How about I leave you two for a moment and you can explain downstairs.” Scorpius nodded gratefully, and Draco left the two in peace, heading back to the dining room and trying to process what he’d just seen.
————
Ten minutes later, and two fifteen year old boys were sitting awkwardly in front of Draco, both of them avoiding eye contact with him.
“So...” Draco began. “Are you two...?” He sort of gestured between the two of them, hoping they’d fill in the blanks.
“We’re together,” confirmed Scorpius.
“Right...” Draco didn’t know how to feel. He wanted to be supportive of his son of course, but a Potter and a Malfoy? Who would have thought it? It would certainly take some time to wrap his head around the idea.
“So that means you’re...”
“Gay?” Draco nodded. “Yeah, I am...” Scorpius finally made eye contact with his father, and Draco noted how terrified he looked.
“Alright. That’s fine, Scorp. I love you no matter what.” Scorpius looked at him disbelievingly, which sent a pang of hurt through Draco’s chest.
“Really?” He asked, hopefully.
“Of course! You’re my son, and I’m proud of you.” Scorpius smiled at him, clearly relieved.
“So how did you two... how did you two become a thing?”
“Oh, um...” Albus coughed nervously.
“Well, it was after the whole Delphi thing,” began Scorpius. “You see we... we had a lot of nightmares, and we would calm each other down.” Scorpius fiddled with his sleeves.
“Is that why Albus was here?” Prompted Draco. They both nodded in unison.
“Yeah, and we’d read to each other,” Albus continued. “Stuff that Rose would get from the library and lend to Scorpius.”
“And I suppose it just went from there. Started out as platonic, and... became romantic.”
“So you both knew you liked each other?” Draco knew he was being too personal, but this was the first time Scorpius had ever really opened up to him, and he didn’t want to waste the opportunity.
“I liked Scorpius, because he was nice to me, especially when I’d fallen out with dad.”
“And I saw Albus shirtless once, and I just knew-” Albus snorted, immediately stifling a laugh. Scorpius too was holding in a smile. Draco just raised his eyebrows, letting the two have their own inside joke, before continuing.
“Well, you both have my blessing,” Draco concluded. “Thank you for telling me Scorpius. Even if you didn’t have much of a choice.” Scorpius nodded in acknowledgement. “And, Albus. I take it your parents don’t know where you are?” Albus suddenly remembered what time it was, and his eyes widened.
“No, you’re right. I need to get back.”
“I’ll see you off,” said Scorpius. They all stood up. Albus left the room to return to the fireplace in the living room, leaving Scorpius and Draco alone for a moment.
“Your mother would be proud too, you know,” said Draco, his voice softer than before. Scorpius looked at him, grey eyes meeting grey. Draco hadn’t even noticed that they were almost the same height now. How had that happened?
“You really think so?”
“Of course. All she wanted was for you to be happy. And I take it you are?” Scorpius nodded.
“I am. Really.”
“Then she would be proud.” Scorpius smiled, paused for a second, and then closed the gap between them. For a few moments, they hugged in silence. Unfamiliar, but nice. Draco was glad to have his son back.

scorbus + 47
-
Albus’s footsteps cut through the cool air unexpectedly, making Scorpius jump. He’d been sitting on one of the stone benches by the entryway to the courtyard, after slipping out of the new Hogwarts tradition: the winter ball.
It had been a disaster; Rose was set on getting Yann’s attention after he’d forgotten to ask her. In her defence, Scorpius had agreed to be her date even after she specified that she just wanted to rile Yann up, but she pointed out that it would work in both their favours, because then Scorpius wouldn’t have to clamour around for his own date.
Albus had one, of course. Emilia, a Ravenclaw in their year. Scorpius couldn’t bring himself to like the girl. Or even try to.
“Where’s your date?” Scorpius asked quietly.
“I... I don’t know,” Albus said, and the dim moonlight illuminated the blush creeping up on his face. “I might have told her I was going to get us drinks.”
“You left her?” Scorpius raised a brow. “That’s not very nice.”
Albus sighed. “I’m an asshole, shoot me.”
Scorpius gave him a sympathetic smile. In his opinion, Albus didn’t look very guilty.
“I dunno, I just don’t think me and her - I don’t think... I don’t think I like her,” Albus sighed. “I mean, I like her, but not like that.”
“That’s unfortunate,” Scorpius lied. “Actually, not really. I’m kind of glad you’re here... does that make me a bad person?”
“You couldn’t be a bad person if you tried,” Albus scoffed. “You and Rose didn’t work out either, huh?”
“Nope,” Scorpius admitted. “After she finally caught Yann’s eye, I didn’t really see a reason to stay.”
“I’m glad you left,” Albus said. “It gave me an excuse to leave.”
“Well, you’re welcome,” Scorpius grinned. “And Albus?”
“Yeah?”
“You looked really nice in your dress robes,” Scorpius blurted out, trying his best to focus on the courtyard in front of them. “I mean, not looked, as in past tense. And not just because of the robes... I mean, you always do. Look nice.”
“Thanks,” Albus replied after a moment, the corner of his lips lifting slightly. “You too. I can’t believe Rose wasn’t all over you.”
“Thanks,” Scorpius said, feeling his heart rate increase slightly. “You know, I don’t think me and Rose are ever going to work out.”
“That’s a relief.”
“Why?”
“She’s my cousin,” Albus rolled his eyes, as if it was obvious. “Besides, you deserve better.”
“You think?” Scorpius asked uncertainly.
“I know you do,” Albus corrected. “I never understood why you liked her in the first place.”
“I don’t,” Scorpius admitted. “I don’t know why you always thought I did.”
“Because you did everything in your power to impress her?”
“I did that because she’s your cousin,” Scorpius said. “It kind of matters what my best friend’s family thinks of me, doesn’t it?”
“My family likes you.”
“Not Rose,” Scorpius pointed out.
“Well, I like you enough to make up for how much she dislikes you.”
“You’re obligated to,” Scorpius teased, making Albus laugh. “You have no choice.”
“Whatever,” Albus scooted over so that their legs were nearly brushing. “Maybe next time, ask someone who you’re actually interested in?”
“Yeah,” Scorpius mumbled, and Albus put a comforting arm around his shoulder. How was he supposed to tell him that his being upset had nothing to do with Rose Weasley?
“Rose isn’t the Weasley I wanted to be with tonight,” Scorpius said quietly, after what felt like an hour.
“What?” Albus’s eyes widened. “Merlin, are you working your way down a list of my family members?”
“It’s not much of a list. There’s only one person on it.”
“As long as it’s not Lily, because that’s worse than Rose,” Albus wrinkled his nose in distaste.
“You’re close.”
“Oh, fuck. James? Don’t tell me it’s James. James is a prick. And he’s older.”
“Not James,” Scorpius sighed.
“Well, the only Weasley you speak to other than Rose and my siblings is me.”
Scorpius stayed quiet, hoping the silence was enough. He knew if he spoke he would stumble on his words so badly that Albus would be more confused than ever.
“Wait,” said Albus slowly. “No way. You don’t... do you?”
“I didn’t mean to,” Scorpius mumbled. “You’re just, well, you’re hard not to like. You’re my best friend. And you’re great. Even though you’re sarcastic and moody and don’t listen to teachers and never do your homework. And you almost got us both killed in fourth year.”
“So you like me because I’m a crappy person?”
“I like you because you’re Albus.”
Albus grinned widely, standing up and pulling Scorpius to his feet. His hand was a little cold, but Scorpius didn’t mind.
“Next time, ask me before striking up a deal with Rose,” Albus said softly, pulling him back inside. “What do you say we ditch the ball?”
Scorpius gazed into his piercing green eyes, watching the way they flickered from his eyes to his lips, and found that he couldn’t think of a better way to spend his time.

Congratulations on 700 followers!!!! Would you consider doing a scorbus oneshot where Albus is really popular and scorpius is a nerd and Albus keeps hitting on scorpius
Ok this became a lot longer than I planned but I hope you like it!! (For reference: Albus is in Gryffindor and Scorpius is still a Slytherin)***Scorpius rounded the corner, he didn’t want to be late to potions. He had spent his free period in the library, trying to get evidence for the extra-credit thesis based essay he was working on for Professor Sprout.
He checked his watch and quickened his pace. It was just his luck that he ran smack into someone who was going the opposite way. The papers and books in his hands fell to the floor as Scorpius tumbled over awkwardly.
—-Albus had been on his way to Defense when he had accidentally walked right into someone. Albus looked up into bright gray-blue eyes, that were slightly hidden by silver-rimmed spectacles.
Scorpius Malfoy. He realized, he was a Slytherin in his year, and also happened to be Albus’ crush since 4th year. Albus immediately helped him gather his books and papers.
“Sorry about that, Malfoy, didn’t see you there,” Albus offered a slight grin, his smile became wider when Scorpius blushed.
“Er- no problem, Potter,” Albus leaned down to continue to gather papers into his arms.
“Albus, why the hell are you helping him?” Sneered Matthew Smith, one of Albus’ friends, Smith turned to Scorpius, “You better watch where you’re going, Malfoy,” Smith put emphasis on his name, he took a step towards him and laughed when Scorpius flinched.
Albus turned to glare daggers at him.
“Fuck off, Smith. Get the hell out of here,” Smith sneered once more, but turned and walked away, Albus’ other ‘friends’ following close behind. Albus turned to Scorpius and gave him a grin.
“It’s alright, I understand what it’s like to be judged for your last name,” Scorpius smiled back and shoved a book in his bag. Albus chanced a look at one of the papers he was holding, “Hey! This is the elemental thesis on the properties of Dittany! Sprout showed us your theories in class, they were bloody brilliant”
—-Scorpius tried to comprehend several things. One, that Albus Potter, head of the dueling club and king of Gryffindor was actually helping him. Two, that he had defended him from Smith. And three, that he was complimenting his thesis work.
Scorpius blushed and stuttered a bit,
“Er, it was nothing really, but uh- thank you,” Merlin, father would be horrified at how much he was stuttering, Scorpius thought. He accepted the bundle of papers that Albus was holding out to him, and shoved them in his bag.
“So, next weekend is a Hogsmeade weekend,” Albus told him and Scorpius’ head shot up in surprise, “do you wanna go to the Three Broomsticks with me? Like- on a date?” Scorpius spluttered.
“B-but you’re not even gay!” Albus laughed.
“As it turns out, I happen to be a flaming homosexual, and I know you are too,” It had been quite a stir when someone caught Scorpius kissing a boy he had met in Paris. A paparazzi had followed his family to the estate there, and the creep had managed to get a photo of them.
“So will you go with me?” Albus asked, his curls falling into his hazel-green eyes. Circe, I’m being cliche, answer him you twat! Scorpius thought. He nodded his head and bit his lip. He could hardly believe this was happening.
“Great! I’ll see you, Scorpius,” He stood and held out his hand to help Scorpius up. To Scorpius’ surprise, Albus pulled him up and tugged him close, he leaned in and softly kissed his cheek.
Scorpius felt like he was going to die from blushing too hard. His heart leaped in his chest and his eyes widened.
“Y-yeah, see you,” Albus pulled back and gave him another grin. He turned and left a gaping Scorpius Malfoy in the corridor. Scorpius raised a hand to touch the place where Albus had kissed him. He checked his watch, he was late for potions.
***This was a lot of fun to write!! Thank you for the ask @imprincesspotato 💜💜
