Prompt #27
You had no idea you were sick. All tests came back clear and you weren't showing any symptoms, so how did you become patient zero for a disease that wiped out 99.99% of this planet's population?
-What should you do now? Should you flee? If so, where would you go and how would you get there?
-What if you stay? How would the locals react to you? Should you avoid them and live in isolation indefinitely, or should you seek out survivors, risking hostilities or infecting any who may have avoided it thus far?

Ooooo this is spicey brain stuff
more sci-fi/fantasy dynastic empires should feature the emperor or empress just cutting out the middle-parent and cloning themselves. I want scenarios where they make like five clones and then force their potential heirs to fight it out and see who the best (evilest? most willing to sit back and watch their siblings murder each other?) mini-me is. I want "I'm nothing like you" yelled at your clone-parent over treasonous regicidal family dinner with like, 12 identical imperial portraits hanging overhead. I want the death of the self in pursuit of immortality. I just think this could really take dynastic familial dysfunction to the next level.

Humans are one of the longer lived animals on this planet, outlived by only a handful of things. So instead of humans as space orks, rapidly and aggressively spreading, please consider the following:
Humans as space elves. Ridiculously long lived, even compared to the Redronia who were previously envied for their long lives of 7.5 large galactic time units (approx 37.5 terran years). They are often willing to wait years, MULTIPLE YEARS! for projects to complete or plans to play out. Each one is possessed of more life experience and the accompanying wisdom than a Quixlan could attain in 3 lifetimes by the time they reach their age of maturity. Never let them borrow something however, as it may be half a lifetime before you see it again.

"You're nothing at all of what I thought an alien would look like," Human says.
"What did you think I was going to look like?" Alien asks.
"I don't know. Multiple arms or heads. Maybe three eyes. Huge heads. Green skin," Human mumbles. "But you look like a human. Like me."
"You are very stereotypical. And—" Alien states.
"Sorry," Human winches.
"—saying we look like your species is an insult. The major difference between our two species is that mine is much more advanced than yours. I mean, you guys are still traveling to space in tin cans."
"I was wrong about what I thought you looked like, but I'm spot on about your personality," Human says.
"Intelligent and honest?" Alien assumes, grinning.
"A stuck-up, know it all who thinks their better than everyone else," Human corrects, wiping the smrik right off Alien's face.

Alien Ambassador: so I've just been to Sol, met with the Humans, and we have a problem.
Alien politician: what sort of problem?
Ambassador: remember a while back we ran into that insectoid species?
Politician: yeah there were like what 60 million of them in delta P right, such a headache trying to negotiate voting rights for them, their population was out of control.... An order of magnitude more than any other race we've encountered, Wait there's not 60 million humans right?
Ambassador: um no... There's not 60 million humans
Politician: thank the stars, those humans are a mess, I heard what they did to their system, global warming, nuclear war, then Mars... Just crazy...
Ambassador: they passed 60 Million humans before the nuclear war, in fact they passed 600 Million humans before their nuclear war.... They had 6 Billion when their global warming was first identified
Politician: oh.... Oh no...
Ambassador: the insectoids had one mother laying eggs, about half the humans are mothers, they can double in population every 2-3 years if they want, though typically they double every 30 to 50 years
Politician: so that's ...
Ambassador: they're coming up on a trillion
Politician: ... A problem. Wait how does even two planets support that many of them?
Ambassador: well they don't just live on Earth, Luna, Venus and Mars anymore, someone had the idea to turn space debris into 'space stations' and farmland... They predict their system can support 10,000x the population before running out of easily accessible materials.
Politician: ... Well the fecal matter is certainly going to hit the circulation unit when the news gets out... They have no self control... Wait a second wasn't Venus that Acid world... What the... How are they living there?
Ambassador: I figured it was better not to ask.
Politician: I think I'd better get to work, please write up a full report for .... Everyone .... everyone will want to know... *Sigh* it's gonna be a long Decade.

Hey! Weird request, but do you have prompts for how science and maths could be used in magic scenarios to gain the upper hand and make a battle much easier? So far all I have is using infrared glasses to see an invisible warrior
Science and Math in Magical Battle Scenarios
-> feel free to edit and adjust as you see fit.
Angles of reflection can amplify protective spells. You can design a series of intricate mirrors arranged in a geometric pattern to reflect and amplify your magical shields against an incoming attack.
A sound dampening cloak that absorbs sound waves, making the wearer nearly silent. Using principles of acoustics, the cloak allows the user to sneak up on opponents or escape unnoticed, enhancing stealth tactics during combat.
Sound Waves as Weapons. Combining musical abilities with sound frequency analysis, you can use math to calculate the exact frequency that can disrupt an enemy's concentration or shatter magical barriers, crafting a powerful song that acts as both a weapon and a shield.
A handheld device that scans the environment for various wavelengths of light, allowing the user to see through illusions, detect hidden magical traps, or analyze the composition of materials around them.
Calculating Gravity's Pull. Using physics to modify gravity around a battlefield. By calculating gravitational pull with equations, you can create zones where enemies feel heavy and sluggish, while allies feel lighter and faster, turning the tide of battle.
Using chemistry to concoct volatile mixtures that create spectacular distractions or devastating explosions. By carefully measuring ingredients and employing magical runes, you can cause reactions to target specific enemy units.
Employing concepts from quantum mechanics to create portals that allow you to teleport around the battlefield instantly. By calculating the right coordinates based on your enemies’ positions, you can dodge attacks and reposition themselves strategically.
A small device that releases a swarm of nanobots capable of repairing injuries or armor in real-time. The nanobots can also serve offensive purposes, overwhelming an enemy or disabling their technology.
Light Manipulation. Combine the principles of optics with magic to bend light, creating illusions or cloaking yourself and your allies from view. By understanding how light refracts and reflects, you can create a battlefield advantage by confusing your enemies.
A headset that uses artificial intelligence to analyze an opponent’s movements in real-time. By processing data on their fighting style, it predicts their next moves, providing the user with tactical insights and a chance to counter effectively.
A grenade that emits a short burst of electromagnetic energy, disabling electronic devices and magical constructs in its radius. It could be used to thwart technologically enhanced enemies or disrupt their magical defenses.

How to Get Started with Worldbuilding for Fantasy Writers
Hey fellow writers!
Worldbuilding can feel like a Herculean task, but it’s one of the most rewarding parts of creating a fantasy novel. If you're getting stuck, Here are some tips that have helped me, and I hope they’ll help you too!
Start with the Basics
Geography
- Map out the physical layout of your world. Think about continents, countries, cities, and natural features like mountains, rivers, and forests.
Climate and Ecosystems
- What are the climate zones and ecosystems like? How do they shape the lives of your inhabitants?
Create a History
Origins
- Dive into how your world came into existence. Are there creation myths or ancient civilizations that set the stage?
Major Events
- Outline key historical events. Wars, alliances, discoveries, and disasters can add so much depth.
Develop Cultures and Societies
Cultures
- Craft diverse cultures with unique customs, traditions, and values. What do they wear? What do they eat? How do they express themselves through art?
Social Structure
- Define the social hierarchy. Who holds power? What are the roles of different classes or groups?
Establish Magic and Technology
Magic System
- Set the rules and limitations of magic. Who can use it? How does it work? What are its costs and consequences?
Technology
- Decide on the level of technological advancement. Is your world medieval with swords and castles, or does it have steampunk elements?
Design Political and Economic Systems
Governments
- Create various forms of government. Are there kingdoms, republics, or empires? How do they interact?
Economy
- Define the economic systems. What are the main industries and trade routes? How do people earn a living?
Build Religions and Beliefs
Religions
- Develop religions and belief systems. Who are the gods or deities? What are the rituals and holy sites?
Myths and Legends
- Craft myths and legends that influence the culture and behavior of your characters.
Craft Unique Flora and Fauna
Creatures
- Invent unique creatures that inhabit your world. Consider their habitats, behaviors, and interactions with humans.
Plants
- Design plants with special properties. Are there magical herbs or dangerous plants?
Incorporate Conflict and Tension
Internal Conflicts
- Think about internal conflicts within societies, such as class struggles, political intrigue, or religious disputes.
External Conflicts
- Consider external threats like invading armies, natural disasters, or magical catastrophes.
Use Maps and Visual Aids
Maps
- Create maps to visualize your world. This helps you keep track of locations and distances.
Visual References
- Use images or sketches to inspire and flesh out your world.
Stay Consistent
Consistency
- Keep track of the details to maintain consistency. Use a worldbuilding bible or document to record important information.
Feedback
- Share your world with others and get feedback. Sometimes fresh eyes can spot inconsistencies or offer new ideas.
Let Your Characters Explore
Character Perspective
- Develop your world through the eyes of your characters. How do they interact with their environment? What do they know or believe about their world?
Be Flexible
Adapt and Evolve
- Be open to changing aspects of your world as your story develops. Sometimes the best ideas come during the writing process.
