Saw your post about an arranged marriage prompt for Eminem x reader not working, but what about twisting it a little? Like there’s been some type of scandal (ex. Him getting a lot of heat for his words about overweight people in Road Rage), so he has to enter one of those fake relationships for publicity due to the label with reader. (Even better if reader isnt famous but agrees to it because they think he’s getting the heat unfairly from the press.) It’s not exact, but I think you could make it work. There’s room for a tiny bit of angst, some romance & hopefully a happy ending.

Oh 👀 that’s actually interesting ! Thank you for sharing your idea ! I kind of like it. I mean, at the stage his career is at, I don’t think he’d do a publicity stunt for damage control but hey… we could make it work. Especially if we add pressure from a label. And reader agreeing to the deal because she really needs money. It would require a lot of description to create a background that makes it plausible but that could be interesting I suppose. Maybe creating an AU in which his GOAT status isn’t as solidified ?

Yeah, I actually like the « fake relationship » prompt. It’s a fun one for sure !

I’ll say this though (you can absolutely call me a bitch for complaining 😂) : it does not compare to the arranged marriage prompt because there’s that « permanent » feeling of commitment, you know ? And the domestic thing that it involves ? I want to write about how odd it is for Marshall to have someone to come home to after so many years spent alone and believing he’d end up this way. How weird it is for him to have a feminine presence in the house. How, in spite of appearing stoic and distant, he kind of wants to try and be an actual husband to someone. 👀

We are on to a new theme this week! Goodbye Ficmas and Twelfth Doctor, hello fantasy AUs! (If you’re wondering, Thirteen’s month will come in February, to coincide with Femslash February.)

And as promised, we’re resurrecting the fake relationship and bed sharing prompts from November, since we were mostly too busy to write that month.

Fantasy AU:

Royalty AU. Rose is a princess and the Doctor is the knight errant trying to win her hand

Mermaid AU. Rose is a mermaid and the Doctor meets her in his travels. Maybe in this mermaid AU there’s some sort of choice possible, a shapeshifting ability, so Rose could travel with the Doctor in the TARDIS? And they fly around the universe visiting the most beautiful oceans for her to swim in.

Arranged marriage AU, in a kingdom sort of based on Gallifrey. A magical kingdom, where the royal family and nobility have the ability to manipulate time... 

Fake relationship/bed sharing:

Hurt/comfort bed sharing: After a bad day, one sneaks into the other’s bed so they can cuddle and be reassured that they’re still okay

The Doctor thinks it’s perfectly safe to share a bed with Rose because he has perfect control over his anatomy, thank you… but it doesn’t take long for him to realise Rose ruins all that perfect control but at least she’s asleep oh no she’s waking up

Canon-verse fake relationship: In order to see *insert spectacular alien site/event* we have to pretend to be married because only married couples are allowed for *insert made up reason*

Fake dating to get free wedding cake samples–you know the Doctor would do this and eat all the banana cake.

“Huh,” he murmured as he looked over the man before him, “Not what I expected at all.  You aren’t going to shatter this impression by being some poncy stick up his arse lordling are you?”

He pushed off the wall and stalked closer, eye roving all over his arranged spouse.  Definitely not built like the normal lordlings he’d seen with other houses.

OQ Prompt

OQ Prompt: Historical/Medieval Times Period Prompt. Robin of Locksley needs  a wife immediately. After the passing of his distant uncle, he’s inherited the title of Lord of Sherwood and all the privileges that come with that title. But in order to gain that title, he needs a wife..and he needs one right now. His first choice would be his sometime lover, the sweet and demure Marian, but he somehow ends up with her distant cousin, the out spoken and promiscuous Regina Mills. The Regina Mills who sets his body on fire and his blood racing.

In your culture it is customary for your people to kidnap their future spouse on the night before the wedding. This includes arranged marriages and impromptu weddings. As a member of the royal family, you are expected to marry by a certain age. However, the only person you've ever had eyes for happens to be one of your country's mortal enemies.

So when you kidnap that person instead of a member of your own country, your family is appalled. Not to mention, your spouse-to-be is quite enraged.

Our muses are supposed to be married in an arranged marriage in two weeks. Send me “I’m your future husband/wife.” For my muses reaction to their first meeting and getting the news.

Alfred had heard something about this arrangement, but of course he was never very well informed nor did he have a great track record with listening for details. This was the first time he’d be meeting his future partner. Even if an arranged marriage had never been his cup of tea, he would still do his best to be considerate. It certainly wasn’t her fault and she was probably a very lovely person.

"Really? Well, then it’s a pleasure to finally meet you. You’re as lovely as I’d hoped," he smiled, holding out his hand to shake, "My name’s Alfred F. Jones and I’m the hero."

Perhaps it was for her own protection? Despite wanting to null the contract she'd never been told about for the sake of freedom, Elsa was intrigued. What were the reasons?
