*ੈ✩‧₊˚ anon request: Could I request Akito, Shizuku, and Toya finding out their s/o is from a noble family?
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ Ofc!! I was thinking about making it fantasy at first buuuut it wouldn't make much sense then because I'd literally choose their status there... So yeah! I settled for modern in the end! Hope you still like it!
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ fluff
Tumblr media Tumblr media
✧ despite Shizuku bring a bit surprised and worried at first... she actually fits in great
✧ surprisingly though she gets used to it rather quickly... She loves you and nothing will change that so maybe that's just it~?
✧ she's quite an elegant person by nature... and so is your family! So she definitely made quite good impression on them just by being herself
✧ it also made her calmer when she saw your family wasn't too obsessed with rules and likes her for being herself
✧ she doesn't really care about money status! Tho she will react if she sees you gave her something fancy...
"Oh my! This necklace is lovely! But... it doesn't look cheap... I hope you're not straining your budget for me, sweetheart..."
✧ now status isn't that important... but even if the news spread around school about you being from noble family, she'll make sure to spoil you in compliments and always assure she truly loves you!
✧ honestly... the only thing that may bother and pain her the most is when people assume she's with you for status or money... she's really not! She honestly just loves you!
﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌
@bleachtheidiot @ravenmoon903 @qwnelisa @miya-akane @miguelito-maruti-blog - come get your beautiful model~
Tumblr media
✧ if you said it randomly during conversation, Akito'd be stunned. If you'd make a fuss about it, he'd act as if it's nothing. You can't possibly fit to his reaction...
✧ if you randomly drop it tho, you'll see the IS-THAT-HATSUNE-MIKU the OoO face just for a second because he tries to regain composure quickly and act as if it's nothing
"You're WHA- EHEM- I mean... Yeah, that's cool. Totally."
✧ he doesn't want to make you think it'll change anything in your relationship... because it won't! He may try to impress you by being extra elegant but that's it!
✧ he knows how to act like gentleman so he's not that afraid if meeting your parents... more annoyed... He's afraid they'll turn out to be just hunch of snobs...
✧ but don't worry! Because once he's been proved wrong, he actually changes his mind about certain group of people!
✧ if you or someone ever says he's with you for money, he'll immidietly get defensive and call them a dumbass. If it's you, he'll give you additional kiss as he does that though~
﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌

Tumblr media
✧ Toya is also from quite a rich family! So he certainly knows how to behave, which isn't hard to notice in the first place~
✧ so he actually takes news about you being from noble family quite well! He only assumed you that nothing between you will change and... that's all about it he said!
✧ though he is worried you may have... parents that are hard to deal with... so when first meeting comes up, he's VERY nervous
✧ but when he sees that your parents aren't actually bad at all, he quickly softens up and from just gentleman, he makes opinion of a soft boy~
✧ in the end, family meeting was definitely successfully! Though he still thinks his dad should stay unknown to your parents... and you too if possible...
"You... want to meet my dad? Well uh... how do I phrase it... I think we should leave this meeting for... another time in the future..."
✧ he most likely forgets about the fact you're actually from noble family most of the time... Not because he doesn't care but because he doesn't find it like information important to your relationship!
﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌

tyvm for 8k+ followers!! 😭
Tumblr media
Ignore the crazy number of drafts I have—
WEHHH 🥺 You guys keep surprising me time and time again! Like I always say, thank you for the support!! Each and every one of you has been such an integral part of this journey.
At the 7k follower milestone, I revealed seven NRC dorm uniform designs for Miss Raven (my TWST OC and blog mascot/muse!). For this milestone, I’ll do the same, but for RSA and NBC uniforms 🎵 They’re just sketches, but I hope you find them interesting all the same! I designed them with the prompt of "what if Raven ended up at a different school than NRC" in mind. How would these new environments and students shape her as she learns and grows?
Tumblr media
Royal Sword Academy
The hairstyle for RSA!Raven is similar to NRC!Raven, but with the pigtails lifted much higher to represent a shift in her place and role in the world. It's crazy how just the pigtails being higher makes her look so different... almost kind of resembles Hatsune Miku! You'll also notice that it's not actually a single large chunk of hair curling in each pigtail; it's meant to look sort of like two segments intertwining (think like OMGkawaiiAngel from Needy Streamer Overload, but with thicker hair; it looked weird when Raven's hair wasn't thick).
RSA!Raven's look is a mixture of what a tomboyish, active princess would wear and what a more traditional princess would wear. The base look is very Snow White-inspired, since that's an important and historical film for Disney. She has a little red bow clipped to the center of her hair, puff sleeves that resemble the ones on Snow White's dress, and her collar is high and poofs out similar to Snow White's. The bow also appears on her boots, which are high and come with a stable sole for trekking around.
Raven's jacket is long and boasts a flamboyant train that flares out, and with the sash repurposed to her waist and the pleated skirt, it gives the illusion of a dress. On top, she wears a frilly blouse and a cravat of raven feathers. Cinched as an accessory atop the cravat is her magestone inlaid in an RSA brooch. She wears a pair of safety shorts under her skirt so she can run and climb without worry. What if there's a cat stuck in a tree or an old lady that needs help crossing the street?! Have no fear, the tomboyishly heroic Raven-san will come help!!
This version of Raven is much more upbeat and outgoing! Since RSA is a place that promotes teamwork, she's now the type that's eager and willing to fight for her friends and to help those in need! Raven's still ever the curious intellectual, but at RSA, where her wishes and hopes for the future are planted, watered, and left to bloom, she's much more open about sharing her dreams and confiding in others. No trust issues here! In fact, maybe she's a little too trusting (much like how she initially started off at NRC). Even though she may have girlish dreams and small stature, you shouldn't underestimate her! She can pack quite a punch with her small fists and loudmouth. RSA!Raven is a classic bright, doe-eyed do-gooder that would surely piss the NRC boys off. When she's not writing a story, she's going around with Chenya and seeing what fun new things lie in store for her. (It's rare that you'll find Raven cooped up in a room!) She's also the first to admit wrongdoing or defeat if she's done something wrong or stepped out of line. RSA!Raven is just honest to a fault, and it's usually Chenya who has to talk her out of apologizing for everything. "Mmm? What's the big deal if we sneak onto NRC campus? Sure, they may not like us, but there's no rule against paying a visit to old friends! You should come along~ I bet it'll be real fun!"
Tumblr media
Noble Bell College
NBC!Raven doesn't have too many outrageous modifications (like, no super short skirts here) to her outfit because in my mind, the school is pretty conservative and wouldn't stand for that. There's a ribbon tied in her beret, as well as another at her chest to secure the diamond-cut magestone there. Usually the shawl NBC students wear is all cloth, but I layered it so there's cloth over Raven's usual feather shawl. The sash coming from her shoulders is also longer and cut a little differently to help signal that she's an anomaly within the student body. Her collar is also a little looser to help her breathe. Last but not least, Raven decided to personalize her uniform a little bit by tying a loose piece of fabric over the longer robes underneath. It has golden beading along the hem, which resembles a piece on Esmeralda's own skirt. Raven wears strings of pearls on her waist in her original NRC outfit, so I thought this would be a neat parallel for her NBC look.
I wanted Raven's hair here to be simple, so it's let down and falls in natural loose waves. Some of it is over her shoulder, but the rest is behind her back, so this helps to slightly differentiate it from the other hairstyles she has worn before. I think it helps to give the impression that she's a studious scholar, but there's a cute and quirky side to her too.
If you thought NRC!Raven was an introvert, hoo boy 😅 you haven't seen anything yet! In the quiet solace of Noble Bell's untarnished halls, peace reigns supreme. Under the watch of the Bell of Salvation, Raven has blossomed into a quiet, stoic, and innocent flower. She does her due diligence sweeping the floors and washing the gargoyles (greeting them every day with a soft smile), then writes stories by candlelight. In the afternoons, she likes to observe the townspeople from a seat at a cafe, or even from up on high, at the tallest tower in the city. Raven respects authority and the rules, and, above all else, believes that justice and equality should be upheld. As expected of someone growing up with the tales of the Just Judge!
If the bad influences of NRC aren't around to be bad influences on her, then surely Rollo will get the job done for them. Thing is, we don't see him acting out in the presence of his peers. This will, naturally, lead to Raven foolishly thinking that he's an excellent role model and thus strive to be just like him. She follows him around like a lost puppy and shyly asks him for advice on various things. Maybe she'd even be a member of student council (secretary?) and hope that her contributions will bring her ever closer to reaching the pinnacle that is the president. With the vice prez and aide, they form the Rollo Fan Club!
... And yet, even though she admires him so deeply, there's a part of her that suspects that Rollo-senpai isn't telling his whole story. She's incredible empathetic and good at reading people (after all, she talks to the stone statues around campus too!)--and her senses tell her that behind Rollo's calm demeanor and dependableness, there's something dark eating away at him. "I wish he would trust us enough to let us know," she says. But maybe someday he will open up to her. (ie Raven is so totally going, "I CAN FIX HIM!!")

OH I LOVE AOI THEY’RE SO SILLY
“i also have a bit of the story written of her backstory and how she meets the others if you want that too.” GIVE ME. 🤲
YAYAYAYA IM SO GLAD U ALSO LOVE THEM HOLY HECK WOW
you get a sketch of her from back in February as a reward for your eagerness (also the main reason this took so long cus i couldn't find it)
Tumblr media
anyway! this is all copy pasted from when i talked to friends about them (in August 2022?!?!?) idk its not set in stone but this is still gonna be the gist regardless
So Aoi got bullied so bad in her last school that her mom made them move. And this time she was hesitant to tell people that she was a Princess. Y'know how like in 25ji it's Mafuyu's Sekai and everyone else can go in and influence too but it's like hers and she can kick them out (and did), well that's like this. Her Sekai formed from her desire to express her true self. So she would go in and get to be a princess with Miku. But it got lonely. She would also still act like a princess irl, just more hidden and in places where people didn't frequent. The first to find her doing this was Kei, then Hikari, then Yuki. None of them made fun of her like she expected and soon they got the untitled song on their phones too. From then on they would hang out and be nobles together and eventually found out about their love of music together. That's when they formed their band, Tunes de la Lune and their song was no longer untitled. Bam.
The thing is, everyone except Aoi is popular. Hikari is handsome, Kei is rich, and Yuki is just a social butterfly. So they all have people constantly around them and who want their attention. This makes Aoi even more insecure because they have so many other people who want to hangout with them that are so much cooler.
Yet like how Aoi hangs cherishes them for not judging her for being a Princess, they also have their reasons for loving each other's company. Hikari doesn't care about his looks and hates that that's all that people notice about him. Kei is rich and knows everyone only talks to her so they can get things, whether physically having her buy them stuff or having their social standing move up. And Aoi, though she loves hanging out with people, gets so tired of it and doesn't have to keep up her energy anymore.
Also they're poly cus yeah
thabk you for reading all that your reward is a link to a playlist of songs theyd cover? or idk just them songs. also some of the songs had yet to be added when i made it so i moved all ones actually in the game to the bottom

Hello, it's a me
I know that I've been MIA for a while, like, a while
Let's just said that life is a wrecked piece of shit sometimes and don't play the good boy.
That being said, it's time for some news, I am now 27 years old, I spend my birthday in the beach, like 700kms from home and my boyfriend, who is my comfort people at this time because after some fights between me and my family and some uncomfortable talks, I moved up with him. A couple of weeks later and thanks to him, I took advice with a good doctor that told me that I have panic attacks and depression (not surprised) due to be under pressure all the time.
Now I'm better, adjusting my life like a person jobless and trying to get better to find a job again, plus, I'm probabky going back to school to finally have my degree at 100% (like, a title and all that kind of stuff).
I've been working in some things, like myself to get better now with my new lifestyle, taking a lot of meds (like 3 almost 3 times per day) and some writing and trying to get distracted to not spend all my day in the bed.
Writing has been the hard part of this journey so far (including gaming but that doesn't help a lot) due to my depression and self-esteem, but I'm trying to start again and continue old works and made new ones specially with a VERY long time fic that is mostly based in Hinomori No Setsuna from Hatsune Miku and Luka Megurine but I feel a little insecure in post it or not in AO3 due that the main pair is Nene Kusanagi and Tsukasa Tenma, feel free to say someting about this, another one is a Shakarian from Mass Effect and the last one is from Halo Reach, mostly the next part of my fic between Carter and Fem! Noble Six.
Anyway, to not make it this more longer, I'm much better with my boyfriend and his family, I'm with major depression and anxiety attacks but I'm trying to get better trough meds and doing my best to do what I really likes.
That's it, that's all.
Thank you if you read all my crap, I really love you <3
Biased out!

Oh hey, I'm on time this month.
First things first: Volume 4 of Shirabe Meshi will release on January 17
So...Shirabe Meshi Chapter 27, part 1...It's time for the school festival! Get your maps of the food booths ready~
Tumblr media
Shirabe keeps feeling like someone is watching which...she's actually correct. Vanessa and Elsa are hiding in the bushes nearby, having infiltrated the school like Kirika and Shirabe did in G
Tumblr media
Apparently the reason Noble Red were being chased at the end of last chapter was Millaarc managed to get in debt through gambling. They shook off the guys wanting their money, but they need blood again so...
Elsa and Vanessa are at Lydian because someone on the list of people with the rare blood type they need is enrolled there. The two split up to search.
Meanwhile, Millaarc is trying to raid a hospital for the blood (she can't let Vanessa and Elsa dirty their hands because of her own carelessness)
Tumblr media
Back at the school, Vanessa finds the map of food with a note that says someone can use it as they please so she wanders around looking at it. Someone in a pig costume (who is obviously Kirika because of the way she talks) is running down the hall trying to get where she needs to be since it's time for her to be on duty at the festival.
They both get to the same corner and collide
Tumblr media
Kirika recognizes the panda costume Vanessa is wearing as being stolen from Class C so she takes chase after her.
As Vanessa is trying to get away, she runs past (er through) Hibiki and Miku while Miku is trying to feed Hibiki a corndog with the word "LOVE" written on it in ketchup, because this series is as subtle as being hit in the face with a brick
Tumblr media
Vanessa ends up with it in the costume's mouth, leaving poor Hibiki hanging and Miku reciting the "kaeshite...kaeshite..." ("give it back...give it back...") line from Waikyou Shenshoujing 🤣
Elsewhere, Shirabe and Serena notice Elsa unsteadily holding on to a tree, both weak and hungry. Serena starts to give her some taiyaki but Vanessa comes running...er, flying, ketchup all over her face, Kirika still chasing, telling Elsa to run
Tumblr media
And it ends right as one of Vanessa's mechanical arms hits part of one of the stalls. Second half is next week.

Anime Update V2 34
Wolf’s Rain - You know shit’s hit the fan when the guy we thought was getting set up as the main villain gets offed at the start of the episode. Yeah, Lord Orkham got assasinated by the forces of the as of now unseen Lady Jaguara, and Hubb Lebewski, who was taken captive by the late noble’s forces, is now on the run, while his ex-wife is still held captive by our other main antagonist, Lord Darcia. And oh man, Darcia shows just how scary and efficient he is here, and by the end has Cheza back in his possession and has thwarted the four main wolves on what could’ve bene a clear pathway to Paradise.
Hunter x Hunter - Caught up to the second anime’s version of where the first anime ended, and then Chrollo used the fortune-telling ability he stole from Neon to read the futures of all Troupe members while Kurapika finally recieves Hisoka’s text message that the Spiders aren’t really dead. And so we’re approaching this arc’s real ending!
Fruits Basket - The episode that introduced Rin Sohma, the Zodiac horse who unfortunately does not meet our main characters this time and doesn’t even transform. The episode was mostly about how Hatsuharu was dealing with his and Rin’s breakup, and how his angst and potential danger to even his loved ones is paralleled with Kyo. Yuki also resolves to return to the Sohma family estate to visit Haru, which took a whole lot of courage and maturity on his part.
Rozen Maiden - My fears were confirmed - “middle school Jun” who has been communicating with adult Jun is not really middle school Jun, but Kirakishou decieving adult Jun into making a body for her. The real middle school Jun is trapped in another realm with Canaria and has been recieving adult Jun’s replies to things he never sent him to begin with! The one character who catches onto what’s really going on here is Suigintou, who of course proceeds to not alert Jun or Shinku to this because she wants to fight Kirakishou when she emerges so that she may claim her Rozen Mystica, oh you evil little shit! This is “Vegeta allows Cell to reach his Perfect form” stuff here!
Fate Zero - Not much in the way of plot advancement this week, just more solid interactions between Saber and Irisveil, and between Gilgamesh and Kirei, who continue to provide some of the best stuff.
Revolutionary Girl Utena - 'Twas the series finale, what all can I really say about it? It was trippy and mind-blowing and eye-opening and heatwrenching and inspiring and...well, revolutionary! And I just loved the conclusion it came to. The Rose Bride/”princess” role truly is worthless to the girl who has it and only benefits the Prince, the “Prince” role itself is toxic and ultimately incapable of breaking through the Rose Gate, Anthy’s lack of self worth and internalized sexism failed her as much as Utena’s own wrong-headed idealism and aspirations to be a Prince failed her, what actually saves Anthy is Utena reaching out to her not as a Prince trying to save the damsel in distress, but as herself believing in her friend, as one young woman in need to another - one lover to another, as their hearts and hands connect. And getting to see Akio get exactly what he deserved twice was so damn satisfying. In the end, Utena did bring the world revolution, but not in the way Akio had ever understood or intended. Everyone’s own “world” is now in revolution, the Rose Bride is slave no more, and Utena is out there somewhere, waiting to be found...
Senki Zesshou Symphogear - The last thing I’d been expecting after last episode was Chris getting taken to Miku’s house and becoming her new friend, that was so sweet! And seeing Chris step up to protect Miku and other civilians put in danger from the Noise attack, Genjuro coming in to protect Chris (who takes off afterwards), Miku taking action to protect others including her estranged friend Hibiki, and of course, Hibiki coming to her rescue as the two of them rekindle their beautiful friendship afterwards. The OTP sails again!
AMC: Tengen Tonpa Gurren Lagann - Got to episode 5, which introduces characters that aren’t exactly favorites of mine, but had a central conflict that was interesting enough to hold my attention the whole way through. Kamina immediatey hating on the high priest due to him reminding of his old villages leader was hilarious, and while he’s left unable to really understand the ways of this village, he turns out to not be entirely off the mark - the high priest essentially is just the village leader disguised by religious doctrine and beliefs he doesn’t truly hold dear. By far the weakest part of the episode was the fight. I could barely make it out, the lighting was so dark and dull!
AND
Akudama Drive - Had to watch this in addition since I’d have no room for it anywhere later in the time remaining of this year. And yeah, I’ve certainly reached the halfway point of this one cours anime. I know this ‘cause main charactes have begun to fucking die!

EVENT 006: Return
“Kazanari Shoko. Born August 13th, 2027...” The offical looked over her identification card. “Why aren't you in school?”
Melanie shook her head. “Graduated early.” She pulled out the other card that she had in her bag, handing it to him. “From Lydian.”
“Your parents?”
“Kazanari Genjuro.”
The official sighed. “Stay out of trouble.” He handed her back her cards before leaving. Melanie put them away before heading towards one of the buildings and going inside, taking a deep breath as she sat on one of the chairs. The official would, obviously, tell the Genjuro of this world about a girl calling herself Shoko who claimed to be his daughter.
It reminded her of when she first met Genjuro, oddly enough.
-
“So, you're the foreign survivor. The girl you saved, Tachibana Hibiki, is doing well.” A man with spiky red hair and golden eyes sat by her bedside. His pink tie was in his pocket, and his sleeves were rolled up. Melanie stared at him, unsure of why he was here.
“If.. you're here just to tell me that, I... already know.” Melanie said, looking at her hands. “Her... parents were here earlier.”
They'd yelled at her thanked her for letting their daughter get hurt saving Hibiki from the Noise. Melanie gave a strained smile to him after a moment. She didn't really want to, but it felt like she'd get in trouble if she didn't pretend she was okay. Most people who came to visit her had yelled at her for suffering, so why would this man be any different?
Japanese was hard to understand, she only knew a few words.
But this man was speaking to her in English. There was a slight accent, for certain, but he was able to talk to her.
“I see. Do you have any family?”
“No, sir.” Not there, at least. In another world, maybe.
“Hmm...” He stood, walking to the window. “Then, we'll have to make some arrangements.”
“....A...arrangements?”
“I'll be formally adopting you.”
-
Formal adoption of a foreigner without a family in the world. That was what Genjuro had done, even after learning that she had a family in another world. He said it was for security in case she ended up back there, so she had something to fall back on. Which, she'd been grateful for but...
This wasn't the world where she was Genjuro's adoptive kid or Tsubasa's cousin. This was a world where she hadn't been before. Melanie wondered if the official would come back after Genjuro said something. If so, she'd be in trouble. After finishing her drink she'd ordered after a few minutes of being in the cafe, she left and headed towards... Well, she didn't know, exactly, but she was going somewhere.
“Excuse me.”
The voice caused her to pause, and then look behind her. There was Miku, someone she was afraid of seeing for failing to save Hibiki. It'd been her fault Hibiki died, and--
“Y-yes?” Melanie asked, nervous. “Is there something you need, miss...?”
“You almost walked while it was red.” Miku pointed towards the crosswalk light, which was red. Melanie laughed a little nervously before backing up a bit.
“Oops, I guess I was too wrapped up in what's for dinner tonight that I wasn't paying attention!” At that point, the light turned green and Melanie noted that. “I gotta get home! Bye-bye!”
And she left Miku with more questions than she had at first.
-
“She says her name is Kazanari Shoko, and that she's your daughter.” The official said. Unbeknownst to Melanie, he worked for S.O.N.G and was a part of the intelligence network for the organization. “I was able to photograph her identification. It seems to be real.”
He showed Genjuro the photo of the identification card, and Genjuro sighed. Though this girl was possibly a relative of theirs, to call herself his daughter with no actual relation... It seemed there was someone out there doing that for some sort of fame. After all, his niece, Tsubasa, was an international idol... So perhaps it was attempting to capitalize on that success.
“Do you know where she is now?” He asked, handing the tablet back to the official. He shook his head. “Thank you for informing me, I'll take care of this.”
“Commander!” But Genjuro was already headed off to the surface, to go look for the girl and ask her a few questions about her identification. Surely, it looked real but...
He couldn't be too careful.
-
Melanie stared at the sky itself, the bright blue encompassing the world. Looking at the bracelet on her wrist, the Elekleid she'd gotten from Starlit, she didn't know how to go back to a world that she knew condemned her for letting Hibiki die like that. Closing her eyes, she sat there on the bench. Thinking on it, she had to figure out what enemy she was going to be fighting. Back when she was living in Japan for those three years she'd been gone from her homeworld, she'd fought Finé, Carol and the Autoscorers, Saint-Germain, Prelati and Cagliostro...
And then Noble Red and Shem-Ha, who had taken over Hibiki's body until she was purged from her.
But if this world was a copy of the one she'd left behind, then...
“This is an emergency alert from S.O.N.G. Noise have been detected in the area. All civilians are to evacuate to the nearest shelter immediately.” The siren blared as the voice came over the speakers. Noise, huh? Standing up, Melanie took a few steps forward. She'd fight them, alright.
She'd fight them for Hibiki.
“Elekleid. Switch on.” The bracelet expanded and the armour pieces all settled in on her body as she called upon the relic left to her. Taking a battle stance, she charged in and started cutting up the Noise that had started to form. But that was when she heard Chris' voice, activating the Ichaival relic. Looking up, Melanie noticed the quick flash of two lights. It set in stone what enemy this would be.
“Noble Red...” Melanie murmured, before continuing to cut through Noise. Chris' song filled her ears, as did the music coming from her Symphogear. Hearing one of the Noise behind her, Melanie wasn't quick enough to turn around and attack it, so she prepared to defend herself when it turned to carbon.
Behind the Noise was Hibiki.
Melanie's eyes widened upon seeing her.
“H-”
-
“HIBIKIIIIII!!!”
Her scream passed her lips as she watched Hibiki vanish right in front of her eyes. The flames grew higher, and the world around her blurred. Tears started to fall from her eyes as her hand grasped at nothing but air. Just gone. Vanished.
The giant continued to walk, as if ignoring her, leaving her alive. The last time she’d survived something like this, it had been Kanade who died protecting her and Hibiki.
-
“You're Hibiki...” Melanie said. Hibiki was about to respond when she noticed Chris in trouble and went to save her. Melanie took the chance to get out of there, instead of sticking around for questioning. Cutting through the Noise as she went, she felt tears brimming in her eyes. She couldn't stick around here. She had to leave, immediately. Even though she'd only been here for a week, she just couldn't take seeing Hibiki again.
It hurt, more than she could even come to explain.
Using Elekleid, she left almost immediately. Knowing she couldn't face Hibiki, no matter if it was the Hibiki she knew or not, Melanie would just leave before she could see her die too. She didn't want people dying in front of her again... Kanade, Hibiki, Starlit...
Upon arriving in the next world, she recognized where she was. She'd left here when she'd gotten Elekleid. The buildings were still in ruins but... there were people around. Luckily, she'd been behind a container and had peeked out to see where she had ended up. But her vision wavered as she stumbled out from behind the container after turning off Elekleid. Ah, her energy was low again... Elekleid really enjoyed using up more of her energy than she really had for travelling the multiverse.
“Melanie...?”
It was Miku, again. But the Miku she knew, not the one she'd met not too long ago. Melanie stood straight and gave a forced smile. “Hey, Miku! I've got some things I need to do so I can't stick around! Bye!”
A quick exit was easier than explaining why she was there and Hibiki wasn't.
-
“You can't keep running like this.”
It'd been two weeks since Melanie had run from Miku. It was like Chris had done way back then, run until she finally joined the Gear users and assisted in saving the world from Finé's want to bring down the moon. Melanie kept her knees to her chest as she heard the footsteps walk over to her and then a grunt as they sat down next to her. A bag rustled, meaning they'd brought something with them. She just took a glance over before looking back at her knees.
“I can.” Melanie responded. “Why are you here, anyway? Isn't the pressing matter the destruction of a part of the city because of me?”
Genjuro sighed. “Although it is a pressing matter, it's being handled by the other divisions. We don't oversee reconstructing destroyed areas, we try to prevent it.” Try was the keyword there, but Melanie shook her head a little at his explanation. If she hadn't been there, then Hibiki would still be alive. Starlit would still be alive.
They'd all be better off.
“I see.. And what about Hibiki...? Don't you guys hate me for not saving her?” Melanie asked, a frown on her face.
Genjuro looked puzzled at what she said. “Why are you asking that again? It wasn't your fault that she ended up in a coma, Melanie.” He put a hand on her head gently. “She's showing signs of improvement, so she should be waking up soon.”
Wait... what?
“Hibiki's in a coma? But-- But she died, I saw her disappear right in front of me!” Melanie stood up, looking at Genjuro as if he had told her that her pet cat had died. “She can't be alive...”
“Come with me, I'll show you.”
-
The hospital smelled sterile, and Melanie hated that smell. She'd spent months in here rehabilitating after the Zwei Wing incident, and it had really not been a good time. Parents came to berate her for surviving, Hibiki's parents had been distraught and took their anger out on her (though her grandmother had been sympathetic and apologized for their actions and had spent time with her before seeing Hibiki), and she'd been the one everyone had pinned the murders of the people who had died on.
“Your hands are stained with their blood!”
“You should've died instead of my sister! My sister was going to become a doctor! So why don't you repent and kill yourself?!”
“It's because of you that everyone's dead!”
Melanie winced, a whimper escaping her as she held her head. Right... She had been responsible for everything, hadn't she? The attack on the Zwei Wing concert, Hibiki's coma, the people dead... It had all been because of her. Genjuro stopped and looked back before turning around to walk up to her.
“The past?” He asked, concern lacing his voice.
“Mm...” Melanie could only nod and glance up. Her eyes were filling with tears yet again, and she whimpered slightly. “...It's my fault she's like this, Genjuro...”
“No, it's not. You tried to save her.” Genjuro said, shaking his head a little. “Let's go see her, her room isn't too far now.”
Melanie just gave a nod and the two of them walked to Hibiki's hospital room. As they approached, the door opened and two people came out. Ah, Hibiki's parents. Melanie looked for some place to hide, knowing she was in for another lecture about how it was her fault Hibiki was like she was. In a coma, never to wake again..
Singing of a Blitzer detected. Unlocking final lock.
The voice had gone through her head almost immediately, causing her to wince again. Final lock? What did that mean? She didn't really know, nor did she understand what was going on. The entire world around her faded to black, as if she'd passed out.
“This was to stop Tesla.. Song brought us together, so it should be what stops him from doing this..”
She felt her bracelet shift just a little, which caused her to come back to reality. There was a ringing in her ears, and she looked up at the person before her. Hibiki's dad, anger contorting his face as he yelled. Genjuro stepped in, saying something that she couldn't understand but... Hibiki's dad turned his attention to him and away from her.
“Hibiki...” Melanie murmured, before backing up and blinking away tears. “I'm sorry.”
And she ran from the confrontation, unwilling to go through it just to see Hibiki.
-
The hospital roof.
It was quieter up here, where she could think and not have to listen to the yelling. Not have to confront Hibiki's parents and explain it hadn't been her fault, she was trying to get Hibiki out of there. She hadn't expected to be pierced by a fragment of Kanade's Gungnir, or for Hibiki to hit her head on the rock as she tried to run and tripped over her injured leg.
She hadn't expected any of it..
“I'm sorry, Hibiki...” Melanie pulled her knees to her chest. The Hibiki she'd been talking to all these years... who had she been? And why had she disappeared like that? It made no sense. Melanie couldn't make heads or tails of it, and just sat there staring into the distance.
And then, a song abruptly disturbed her thoughts. She heard the music, and the lyrics. Standing up, Melanie looked around. Where was it coming from?
“Unlocking final lock.” She heard, before looking at Elekleid. The bracelet's crystals turned a little before righting themselves. “Elekleid special ability, Symphonic Drive, unlocked.”
Symphonic Drive?
A special ability buried deep within Elekleid, which allows it to fuse with a Symphogear. A voice said. Melanie looked around, but there was no one there. But the song she heard was powerful, though strained... as if the singer was in combat. It encouraged her to sing along, and so...
She did.
Slowly but surely, her wavering voice sang along to the lyrics that she heard. The song was filled with hope. Maybe that was what she was missing herself. Hope... and the dream she'd had so long ago, to become a singer. It'd been a stupid dream berated by her foster parents, but this gave her the hope to go on and try to become one anyway.
She didn't know how long she was standing there, singing, but it felt like eternity. She was enjoying singing. Before, she only sang because the Symphogear had required it to access all of its abilities. But now? The song came naturally, and the other song had long since faded.
The door behind her opened, and she caught herself mid-chorus. Nervously laughing, she looked behind her. There was Genjuro, with Hibiki's parents.....
And Hibiki. On crutches, but smiling widely.
“You're okay!” Hibiki said, using her crutches to move forward. “You didn't bleed out! I'm so happy...”
Melanie felt her eyes fill with tears, and she turned and ran at Hibiki, hugging her tight and making her lose her grip on her crutches. Crying, as Hibiki pat her on the back.
“Heiki, hecchara! Don't cry, it's okay. I'm awake now.”
“Hibikiiiii....”
-
The sun blazed bright in the sky and Melanie stood in an abandoned apartment lot. Everyone in S.O.N.G was there, along with Hibiki, Miku and their friends.
“So... I'm going now.” Melanie said, rubbing the back of her neck. “I'm taking Gungnir with me again, so....”
“It's yours, after all.” One of the S.O.N.G officials said. “Elfnein is working on a replacement Gungnir. It turns out Hibiki and Miku can use both Shenshoujing and Gungnir interchangably, so we'll be able to have backup. These three volunteered to help out.”
“Don't forget to visit!” Yumi said.
“Hey, dummy! Don't get into any trouble!”
“It was an honour working with you.”
Everyone was saying their goodbyes, and Melanie felt like she wanted to stay... but from the echo of the voice she heard, she would be going to check up on her world and see if it was still dead. It probably was, but..
“Melanie! Wait!” Hibiki ran up to her and paused in front of her before thrusting forward a present. “Miku said your birthday came and passed, so I got you something! Open it before you power on Elekleid and head off!”
Melanie looked confused, but opened it. It was a small box, and opening it showed a pair of hairclips. The same that Hibiki wore. She grinned and pointed to her hair, and Melanie pulled a lock of her hair to look at it. The colour had changed the day Hibiki woke up, to a shade matching hers. As if she'd become whole, instead of being... who she'd been up until then.
“I wanted you to take something of mine with you, so why not my favourite hairpins? I got another pair, so it's okay!” Hibiki grinned widely. “Make sure to come back and visit us!”
Melanie laughed, tears streaming down her face as she put the hairclips in her hair. “Of course, Hibiki.”
Elekleid, Switch On.
-
Walking out of the portal, Melanie deactivated Elekleid and noticed birds flying by. Confusion filled her face. Hadn't her world been dead? But here it was, alive and with people milling back and forth as if nothing had happened. Biting her lower lip, Melanie headed off towards her house and grabbed the spare key, hastily trying to unlock the door. Her hand shook as she did so, and she slammed open the door when she got there.
Empty.
The TV was still on, though.
“Ah...” Melanie's eyes filled with tears as she stepped into the house. “I knew it was too good to be true...”
“You said it.” A voice said from behind her. “The piece of shit laptop was really shitty. Like, for $900? It'd been just the screen. I really hate Craigslist.”
Melanie looked behind her to see Noah with a Best Buy bag in his hand and his car keys in the other. As she started to cry in relief that Noah was here, he didn't hesitate to put his keys and bag down before running over to her, putting his hands on her shoulders before hugging her tight. Melanie cried into his chest, happy to see him alive and well.
“I'm... I'm home, Noah..”
“Welcome home, Melanie.”

THE SAIMON FAMILY CASE recaps [10/13]
In which we meet a young wordician and the detectives finally stumble upon a breakthrough in the case.
--
PART 7
Three days before August 19th, a few other detectives from Nihon Tantei Club propose they can help with the Saimon Family Case. Ajiro might take them on their word if the next incident doesn’t clear anything up. However, he’s afraid to mix anyone else into this, seeing as a single case stretching for so long is already pulling their attention away from other cases.
In fact, Ajiro reveals to everyone that he’s considering withdrawing from the Club entirely; he’s grateful to everyone who would hate to see him go (especially tearful Kirigirisu), but he still has his pride as a detective. If no progress in the case is made soon, he will be forced to make that decision. Two young detectives, Raiouji and Mikuruma, outright declare that they will quit too if push comes to shove.
Three days later Ajiro and Kirigirisu are faced with a new incident in the Saimon Family Case when Kyuuzou dies from a hornet sting.
On the same day, Raiouji and Mikuruma are killed when a reckless truck driver hits them on their usual bike ride.
As soon as they get the news, Ajiro and Kirigirisu stop their investigation in Tsuwano and return to Kyoto to learn more about what happened. Witnesses testify that the truck driver (who also died in the crash) didn’t even attempt to brake before hitting the two young detectives. The police finds stimulant drugs in the truck’s cabin, states that the man was probably using them, and files the case away as a normal traffic accident.
Raiouji’s and Mikuruma’s joint funeral ceremony is held a day after Fujita Kyuuzou’s wake, and unexpectedly a few Saimons decide to go to Kyoto to attend it: Soga Tensui with Miku, Taishi with his wife Yurine, Hyousen with his son Hyousai, a few members of Fujita-gumi, even shy Takayoshi.
Miku says that they wanted to bring Juku along at first, but decided against it, as him wearing sunglasses throughout the entire ceremony could be seen as rude by other people. It’s still unknown just what made the boy so strangely beautiful after his brother’s death.
(Kirigirisu has had some very outlandish theories about it come to his mind. If we define the twins’ previous beauty as being “90% perfect” for each one, then maybe after one died, the other one now somehow counted for two, and the accumulated value tipped over the point of “100% perfection”… This sort of ridiculous theories. Kirigirisu has no idea why he even thought about it.)
As they talk with the family, Hyousen mentions that he saw Ajiro’s grandfather Soujin yesterday in Tsuwano, showing up in the Fujita household once everyone else left after Kyuuzou’s wake. Hyousen acts quite friendly towards them, what with his late father and Soujin having been sworn brothers and all. There is some uneasiness in Hyousen’s behavior that wasn't there before, but one can expect it from a son who just lost his father... from someone who keeps losing his family every month. He says that his wife Shima couldn't show up, as she's been feeling sick lately.
Takayoshi exchanges a word or two with the detectives, but leaves in a hurry once his brother Taishi approaches (unsurprising reaction, considering the two's past). Taishi isn't as friendly as everyone else and claims that he's only here because he has another business in the prefecture anyway.
"The other Kotensui lives in Kyoto," Taishi says. "That is, the kid that provided Kotensui's voice, Ryuuguu Jounosuke. We have something to do at his house."
Ajiro seems to know the name Ryuuguu. Or rather, he knows about Ryuuguujou, the family’s palace so splendid it’s often called one of the two great mansions of Northern Kyoto (the other being a place called Geneijo). So this strangely named Ryuuguu Jounosuke has to be a young noble. Apparently when his ancestor Yatsutarou was designing the palace grounds, he took inspiration from the Saimon family’s garden, which led to him becoming friends with Saimon Taishin.
The Ryuuguus offered the Circus financial help many times, but the Saimons always refused to take any money from them. However, Taishi can tell that the Circus is pretty much over now with so many performers dead, and wants to ask the Ryuuguus for help—not even asking for money, but for a few of their koi so he can repopulate the depressingly empty pond.
It feels like Taishi’s sense of loss is connected less to their fish, and more to Akio; perhaps his sudden desire to get the pond back to normal comes from subconsciously wanting his brother back.
The bright spot in despair is that Taishi's and Tensui’s relations are getting better lately. Taishi states that if anyone will be able to keep the Circus going in the future, it will be the three child geniuses: Yomiko, Juku, and Jounosuke.
“That boy is a true wordician,” he says of Jounosuke. “A magician of words.”
Apparently Jounosuke has been travelling all over the world with his parents since he was born, which contributed to his knowledge of an astounding number of languages. He likes words so much he even named some of the buildings belonging to the Saimons, like Sanasou and Shakuya. For some reason he also likes to call Tensui yossha no ojisan (well, Tensui kind of is an "alrighty guy", but it's still a strange way to address him).
That last innocuous fact seems to pique Ajiro’s curiosity and he wants to have a word with Jounosuke.
--
And so, on August 22nd, Ajiro and Kirigirisu ride to Ryuuguujou together with Taishi and Yurine. It’s easy to see how rich the Ryuuguus are; their private grounds could probably fit an entire Disneyland, and a sleek limousine takes the guests to the palace, a giant black building with a tall tower in the middle. Ryuuguujou is surrounded by a western-style garden on one side and an eastern-style one on the other. In fact, the entire building was designed to resemble an European castle on one side and a Japanese keep on the other, down to the internal decor.
A butler shows them inside, where they meet Mr. and Mrs. Ryuuguu—Kintarou and Kaguya—who dress like they just got here in a time machine from 18th century France. They welcome the guests in a pretty exalted manner, both seeming constantly cheerful. They are without a doubt the weirdest people Kirigirisu has ever met, and that’s counting all the strange detectives he works with. Maybe that’s just how people living in palaces are.
Apparently Kintarou and Kaguya don’t always dress like this, but choose between many outfits from different eras on a whim (and even invite the detectives to borrow costumes and join their dress-up game if they like). They travel abroad for most of the year and because of that take special care to keep their friendships going whenever they're back in Japan. They like to consider anyone they meet as a potential great companion.
Their endless chatter is a bit exhausting, so even if the couple is extremely friendly, Ajiro and Kirigirisu are glad they can leave for the eastern garden to search for Jounosuke. Kirigirisu is actually a little worried for Mr. and Mrs. Ryuuguu; they seem so trusting and ready to help everyone around that maybe someone could easily abuse their friendship for nefarious purposes.
The detectives find Jounosuke feeding koi in the garden. Even in the summer the boy is wearing all black, including an elegant hat, gloves, and a long cape (but at least the shirt under that cape is sleeveless). He looks at them with curious big eyes, a happy smile on his face.
“Oh, so Mother and Father have made new friends,” he says when they introduce themselves.
Ajiro makes a comment that as expected from someone called a wordician, his speech sounds very intelligent, then asks about his age.
“Ryuuguu is now ten, in fourth grade at school," Jounosuke answers in third person. "Are you friends with yossha no ojisan? You called Ryuuguu a wordician, which means you know people from the Circus, and the one who knows the most about Ryuuguu there is yossha no ojisan, so you probably came to talk with Ryuuguu on his request.”
“This child is quite a detective,” Ajiro comments in amused surprise. “Maybe we should employ him in the future, huh, Kirigirisu?”
“Are you detectives?” Jounosuke puts two and two together quickly.
“Yes, we are detectives. We’re investigating a case and we would like you to help us with something.”
“You want to know yossha no ojisan’s secret? Um… but Ryuuguu promised he wouldn’t tell anyone.”
“I see. Then I won’t ask about it. You were the one who named Sanasou (山鴉荘) and Shakuya (杓屋), right? Could you tell us the origin of these names?”
“Oh! Sanasou has the kanji for raven (鴉) trapped in the word for a mountain villa (山荘), but it should actually be written differently. In the word for sake kasu (酒糟), there's this kasu (糟) that can also be read as sou. And by looking at Sanasou and changing sou to kasu you get Sanakasu (山鴉糟), which sounds like Saakasu—“Circus”! “And Shakuya is where they keep sharks, so it’s a shark room, shaaku-room, shaaku-ya.”
These are… quite the wordplays. Ajiro seems intrigued by the last one.
“I don’t know if you did that on purpose, Jounosuke… but that kanji for shaku (杓) means a dipper. I think the shaku in Shakuya may mean a constellation called the Big Dipper… and it refers to one other thing too, doesn’t it?”
“Um, that one is a secret.”
Ajiro gives Kirigirisu a conspiratory wink. Jounosuke may be smart, but he's still a child, so Ajiro can try and get the secret out of him in a roundabout way, by checking what topics the boy doesn't want to talk about.
“By the way,” Ajiro says, “in the aviary at Sanasou there’s a big dove figure called Onikaru-sama. Was that name also created by you?”
“No, Ryuuguu thinks it’s been called that since a long time ago.”
“Do you know that name’s origin?”
“Ryuuguu knows… and won’t tell.”
“I think that Onikaru-sama is not quite its actual name. Instead of O-ni-ka-ru it should be pronounced On-i-ka-ru, right?”
Kirigirisu has no idea what the difference is, but Jounosuke makes a troubled face. The boy’s not a very good liar, that for sure. Even if he stays quiet, Ajiro is pelting questions at him and presumably reading out satisfying answers between the lines.
“Tell me, did yossha no ojisan tell you anything about the word juuku?”
“Juuku… that’s the name of yossha no ojisan’s son, who’s a few years younger than Ryuuguu. Actually, Ryuuguu has never met him before.”
“Certainly, juuku written like the number nineteen is also Saimon Juku’s first name. But have you perhaps heard something else about juuku?”
“Huh? Ryuuguu doesn’t understand…” This time Jounosuke seems honestly confused.
“Then… have you heard of Golgo 13?” Ajiro for some reason names a manga series about an assassin for hire. What does that have to do with anything?
“Um, no… when Ryuuguu thinks of the shape of the word juuku (十九), the only thing he's reminded of is Senmaru (千丸)...”
That last word sends a cold shiver down Kirigirisu's spine.
Senmaru is a common nickname for the crossing at Senbon Maruta, the same place where Raiouji and Mikuruma were killed in an accident mere days ago. This has to be just a coincidence… right?
Kirigirisu doesn’t really understand what this entire conversation meant, but Ajiro looks completely satisfied and thanks Jounosuke for the help.
“Can Ryuuguu show you an illusion to end with?” the boy asks. “It’s the best, even yossha no ojisan was surprised! Is it okay if it breaks your watch?”
“It’s alright,” Ajiro says presenting the arm with his watch. “What gets broken can be fixed. It’s only fair to help you show us an illusion, considering how much you helped us today.”
Jounosuke reaches forward with one gloved finger, lightly pokes Ajiro’s watch—and it instantly stops working, the hands freezing in their tracks.
“I see…” Ajiro seems strangely satisfied for having his watch broken. “You’re like the opposite of Uri Geller, making clocks stop instead of restoring their function…”
“Jounosuke!” shouts a new voice. A teen girl in a white dress is walking their way with a stern face. “How many times did I tell you not to break other people’s things? I am deeply sorry, we will cover the cost of repairs …”
“No, it’s alright. My watch was already acting strangely and I wanted to repair it anyway. You must be Jounosuke’s older sister?”
“Ah, yes. My name is Ryuuguu Otohime. I’m sorry if my parents and brother were bothering you…” She sounds quite mature and like the only normal person in this family. Well, they do say that children either end up highly similar to their parents or become their complete opposite. “I’m not sure how to explain it, but what Jounosuke just did wasn’t an illusion. He has a strange power that lets him break every mechanical device he touches. It just suddenly showed up last year, around the same time when he started wearing all black.”
“It’s still a kind of magic,” Ajiro states. “As long as one acts like there is a secret method behind the performance, even a supernatural power is illusion. I think it’s wonderful to have abilities that other people don’t have.”
--
Soon, Kirigirisu and Ajiro prepare to leave against the wishes of Kintarou, Kaguya, and especially Jounosuke, who would love for them to stay and hang out all night. (Taishi and his wife do spend the night, since they live in another prefecture).
The detectives get a taxi back to the city. The slightly bizarre frenzied atmosphere from before turns into grim silence as they approach the crossing of Senmaru.
A class of small children is following their teacher through the crossing, and for a short moment Kirigirisu is sure he spotted Juku and Joukei among them—but that can’t be, Joukei is not around anymore. He takes another look. The two children he saw are actually a pair of a boy and a girl, perhaps also twins, both their backpacks having the name TAMEI written on them. [Which implies these two are Dakushoin and his sister from the other JDC books. What a nice little cameo.]
“Boys, be ambitious,” Ajiro says suddenly.
Huh? The popular phrase shounen yo, taishi wo idake? Ajiro doesn't elaborate what he means by it, instead adding another non-sequitur.
“We are the ambassadors solving the mystery of the magic show.” [Ore-tachi wa, kijutsu shou no nazo wo toku taishi nanda.]
Ambassadors? Kirigirisu truly has no idea what Ajiro means by those strange phrases, but has a feeling they aren’t just random gibberish.
--
Ajiro and Kirigirisu return to Nihon Tantei Club’s office, where everyone else (except Shiranui and always wandering Soujin) is waiting for them. Some of the detectives, especially Shiranui’s group, seem fed up with Ajiro doing things on his own and relegating responsibilities of the representative to others; even if he still gets cases solved, he falls behind as a team leader. Arito Tarou points out that Raiouji and Mikuruma were likely killed because of the Saimon Family Case, so Ajiro should at least tell everyone what’s really going on.
Ajiro can’t deny that those two deaths could be connected to the Case; if that’s the truth, he’s taking full responsibility. Even if it was just an accident, Ajiro admits he has to either abandon the Saimon Family Case and go back to his duties, or pursue the Case and abandon his position instead. He decides that if he doesn’t solve the Case until the end of September 19th, or if the deaths of Raiouji and Mikuruma turn out to really be connected to the Case, Ajiro will quit the Club.
Kirigirisu immediately announces that if Ajiro’s going to turn in his resignation, then he’s quitting too.
Soon everyone except for our two main detectives leaves the office for the night. Kirigirisu walks to the nearby Lawson to buy them something to eat. When he comes back, he notices a gorgeous white car parked under the building, then meets its owner on the stairs inside. Short and thin, with a white suit and the atmosphere of the Godfather—it’s Ajiro’s grandfather Soujin, who hasn’t shown up around for over a year. As always, his presence is overwhelming, making it obvious why the man was once called “Ajiro the God”. Soujin is happy to see Kirigirisu, but apparently is so busy he already has to leave.
Back in the office, Kirigirisu discovers that another old detective showed up in his absence, Shiranui Zenzou. Apparently Soujin gave him a lift here. Did the two Ajiros and Shiranui talk about the Case?
“We did,” Ajiro answers. "The Saimon Family Case that’s been confusing us for a year took grandpa all of three seconds to figure out. Well, it’s not that he solved it, but he gave us an important hint. The truth behind the Case that boils down to a single word.”
Shiranui interrupts him, saying that he doesn’t really know what’s going on, and his own method of reasoning (basically “doubting every single detail”) is still focused on whether Kyuuzou was actually stung by a hornet or not. Ajiro explains that while a stinger really was found in the victim’s body, the hornet itself may have not existed; anyone skilled enough in voice mimicry could emit a convincing buzzing noise. It’s possible that the murderer used a prepared stinger to kill the victim, making it look like an unfortunate accident.
Someone skilled in illusion and voice mimicry… Soga Tensui is apparently pretty good at both.
“If we were to guess the truth based on all the data we have gathered, everything would point to Tensui being the culprit,” Ajiro says. “However, a single word from grandpa forced us to abandon our previous theories and go back to the drawing board. This word is kuroyashi. Yashi may refer to the merchants and peddlers of a tekiya yakuza group, such as Fujita-gumi. Kuroyashi would mean “a black peddler”. And if you switch black and white around, what do you get?”
That would be shiroyashi… which sounds suspiciously close to Shiroyasha, the masked murderer.
The Case is finally one step closer to being solved.

Majo Kaitou LIP☆S Chapter 1
a heavily edited google-translated reader impression
Hoshino Miku, a highschool student, is a big fan of the popular idol group M.A.G.
Most popular band member is Sho, and her friends gush about him, meanwhile Miku is slightly less mainstream and her favorite is Hikari.
"He's like a prince from a land of light in this modern era! He's tall, he sings great, dances great and looks so cool!" - she thinks, staring at her poster with puppy eyes and squeeing in her heart, but doesn't dare voice her preference...
We're then informed that Miku has a strong sense of justice, thus can't skip school cleaning, and also can't read the atmosphere and is aware of that last one..?
Also, M.A.G will be singing live at a "premuim ceremony" of a museum.
Miku's excited to get a ticket to the show and almost bumps into a frowny-looking boy, who rudely tells her to please bugger off as soon as she gets the damn thing (without the please).
When asked what's his business, he says he's a policeman. Miku has trouble believing that and breaks into a laugh, because no way he's much older than her.
Except he is! a policeman! The man, the legend, Azuchi Ryusei.
He's been called there by the museum director mr Kleiner. We're informed that this kid has an IQ of 190 and solved The Labyrinth incindent (don't ask) at age 9 as his first case. Since then, he has unraveled serious incidents one after another, was granted a special status at the age of 16, is a specially appointed investigator belonging to the International Police Agency, and in general is a highly regarded person.
Kleiner says he's counting on our boy - or our boy says he's counting on Kleiner, I can't translate this clearly - but he(Kleiner) is lying through his teeth and the jewel is a part of a Grand Ploy and does a little villainous laugh just so we're clear he's evil.
Meanwhile, Miku's at school feeding her teacher's pet owl boy Minne (because that's normal) and does a little Ryusei impersonation, which looks hilariously cute. Ms Yurien Marie the science teacher needs her morning coffee to function, and thankfully Miku's there to help.
After school Miku's friends are all in a hurry because live show is starting soon, but as we all remember Miku can's bring herself to skip school cleaning so she remains behind to do exactly that, saying she'll come after because priorities.
By the time she finishes - all by herself, mind you - the concert has already started, and she laments this fact; "I did it again..." and the tears are brimming.
Suddenly, teacher Marie appears! "Can you see the light?" (she can, it looks like little stars but inside the classroom)
If you can see the light, that means you have Potential.
Ms Marie aka the Fifth Witch of the Night spooks Miku with a flashy transformation, gets a whole broom out of a tiny perfume bottle and whisks Miku into the skies, flying over right to that concert everyone's so psyched for. Miku gets briefly distracted by seeing Hikari down there.
Teacher says she's been collecting mana from bad guys for a while now, but she thinks it's time for a baton pass to the 6th generation.
Mana is the energy of all things, and if it runs out, everyone will die. And as it happens, everyone at the live show suddenly faints, including the performers and the brave policeman boy. Naturally, it's because of Kleiner, who doesn't even try to pretend he's not evil incarnate at this point. Also, apparently brave policeman boy's life energy is special?..
Miku screams that she can't let all these people die, teacher smirks "I was waiting for these words", the lipstick appears and an epic transformation ensues.
Kleiner kicks not-quite-fainted-yet brave policeman boy in the face for trying to stop him, but then gets blinded by the light as our glorious witch makes her entrance.
"Tonight, I'll take this gemstone. Of love, of pride, of a maiden's lips, of a red maiden's lips, Majo Kaitou LIP☆S appears!" (i am not making this up but i am having translation issues)
The fight is summed up as "she was in a pinch a couple times but got the jewel in her hands safe and sound".
Minne the owl appears and transforms into a balloon; Miku almost flies away except Ryusei decides to tag along, which is kind of not according to plan.
Miku loses her grip and starts falling, but brave policeman boy does the noble thing and saves her from becoming a pancake.
She recognizes him, and seeing him up there holding on for his dear life with whatever life energy he's got left she's very touched that he helped her in this condition and manages to summon a flying broom and take him to a nearby roof.
"Who are you?", he asks. He doesn't get an answer, he gets kissed and a cocky "If you want to know, catch me, Mr. Handsome Investigator" as a goodbye.
Flying off on her balloon, Miku returns mana to the fainted, oversees everyone waking up, and disappears with her last words being "Have a nice night!".
Kleiner (remember him? you don't have to) reports to a superior, but gets burned. Literally, apparently.
Next day everyone's fine and miraculously no one got injured, so Miku's happy and the thought that she helped warms her heart.
Then she learns that Ryusei just got transferred to her class. Surprise!

(Episode 4 thingssssss
Truthfully, this episode was pretty chill, meaning it feels like things don’t start to pick up until the middle portion (Maria’s song) and the end (Hanasaku Yuki).
But! There is one thing that got me curious.
I’ve been grateful for the cameo’s of Miku in each episode. I’m still ridiculously excited what they may have planned for her in the season. However, even if they’re small appearances, I feel like they’re important, as in it’s building up to something later.
With AXZ and XV being made together, I still have confidence that this season will be paced well enough. What they’re doing seems to be changing everything up compared to previous seasons, which is why I think people are a little iffy on how things go or are going so far. But I’m getting ahead of myself.
Anyway! This short scene with Hibiki and Miku left me feeling a certain way;
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hibiki cuts her off before Miku can finish her sentence. Now, without thinking, this can be seen as amusing but my first thought was worry. We all know about the hints towards Miku this season, or ever since the end of AXZ, but these small scenes between Hibiki and Miku so far in this season makes it feel like there’s some...strange distance between them or as a friend put it, they’re “out of sync” with each other.
Hibiki has gotten to the point as a character where she doesn’t hide many of her problems anymore and relies on Miku more than before for that sense of normalcy. Miku, perhaps used to the sense of normalcy clashing with Hibiki’s hectic battle life, is content on being that support for her.  However--- Ever since episode 1 of XV, heck technically since S1, Miku has had issues expressing her deeper feelings. She’s always been frustrated with her not being able to communicate in general, or express herself like others (as she explains in AXZ, as well as her XV bio).
In Hibiki’s second song this season, “Kimi Dake Ni”, she admits to not noticing Miku’s tears unless she was literally in trouble. That means, even when Miku may seem fine on the outside when they’re talking normally and at school, Hibiki didn’t notice that Miku was actually having her own struggles, which is sad haha.
Not sure what it will take for her to realize it in the show, but clearly she does at some point since “Kimi Dake Ni” is her literally pouring her heart out to Miku, which is seriously a first in my opinion haha. So I feel like little things like this will be adding up for later.
I’d talk about this dang scene all day so let me move on.
Shout out to the same scene though for referencing the one time Miku and Hibiki invited Tsubasa to go out for karaoke in S1 because they wanted to try and cheer her up. It was sweet.
But clearly Tsubasa still isn’t fine.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Clearly Fudou is still getting under her skin.
And speaking of him---
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He’s over 100 years old yet is strong? The heck is up with this dude?
Okay, jokes aside, Fudou is clearly the bad-guy of this season, as I assumed ever since AXZ ended. He orders Millaarc to kill, which I’m wondering why they’re listening to him. Maybe because he’s so powerful, he gives them protection (technically) from being found out, as well as getting the blood they need to survive? And in return, they help him obtain the divine power?
That’s what I assume, anyway. And he already speaks about making his next move because it’s clear, after one of the people who put on the bracelet tried using it and basically exploded, it can’t be handled by just about anyone. And we know that the only two people that can handle the Divine Power is Miku and Hibiki.
Miku I assume is still under the radar, which leaves Hibiki being the obvious one since it took her over last season. However, we don’t know if Fudou knows about Miku or not. With his power, and possible connections, he could very well know but again, no telling.
Maria’s transformation is awesome. Her song is awesome. Hibiki is a mess.  That’s all. Lmao.
After that fight, they have everyone back on the bridge to listen to the strange music they picked up, which was briefly when Shem-Ha was activated. They picked up the Aufwachen waveform, which honestly reminded me of how Airgetlam’s waveform looked like.
(Shem-Ha)
Tumblr media
(Airgetlam)
Tumblr media
And it’s interesting that Maria seems confused by slightly recognizing the distorted music that was picked up from Shem-Ha as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With all the hints towards Maria’s background this season (her line in episode 2 and the OP), this surely will play into that as well. Wondering how though of course.
Now, the craziest thing that happened was the whole Hanasaku Yuki and duet with Saint-Germain. Just in case for those that don’t know, Aoi (Hibiki’s VA) suggested her and Minako (Saint-Germain’s VA) actually sing the song together at the 2018 LIVE, which they proceeded to do. It was nice, because it actually felt like the song was something between the two of wanting to come to an understanding and connect, but they were both fighting strongly for what they believed in and so were at odds. The song strangely fits very well as a duet and I didn’t realize this until seeing the LIVE.
Tumblr media
And so, having it actually show in the anime, where they are literally fighting together and singing the song, it made me get a little emotional.
Hibiki has grown a lot over the series; in the beginning, all she’s wanted to do was make friends with everyone and that sometimes made her a little bit pushy. That’s technically how she managed to make friends with Chris, Tsubasa, Maria and the others.
The next person I think she tried hard with was Carol. She was determined to try and befriend her, to save her so to speak, but it didn’t work out. It’s a personal headcanon of mine that Hibiki thinks about Carol often and how they failed in saving her. So she tried a different approach with Saint-Germain in attempting to try and understand her way of thinking instead of pushing her own beliefs on a person, as well as realizing that people are fighting hard for their beliefs just as hard as she is.
Like she says in Hanasaku Yuki, there’s no “good or evil when it comes to landing a single blow”.
It’s already been officially confirmed, even before this episode due to the keywords, that the Gears were practically part Faust Robe due to the Lapis Philosophorum (Philosopher’s Stone) merging with them at the end of AXZ (when they used it instead of achieving X-Drive, since they had no means of accumulating that much Phonic Gain to achieve it anyway) so that’s where these new forms come from, known as Amalgam.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Amalgam means “a mixture or blend” so it makes sense.
But what makes me emotional about this is because Hibiki technically has her dream come true at this point. She’s fighting alongside Saint-Germain. They did at the end of AXZ, but it clearly feels like they’ve managed to come to a more mutual understanding thanks to all of it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It makes me wonder if they’ll actually release an official duet version of this song between the two. I would love it, honestly.
But after all that, Hibiki tries offering her friendship to Vanessa, since she says she wants to get her body back and make friends. But before she could respond, the Gear users are ordered to step down from official government orders.
But the thing about this is that they’re holding everyone on the bridge at gunpoint.
Tumblr media
I assume this is due to Fudou and his so called “next move” that he’s already made.
Again, things are heading off pretty fast this season. There’s 9 episodes left and that form they achieved is something I thought they wouldn’t get until maybe around episode 10 or later? Since that’s how it normally goes. But if Fudou is going to be the main baddy, what about Noble Red (Vanessa, Elsa and Millaarc)? How will they continue to fit into this? It may seem fast, but I think they still have things planned to stretch out upon these next 9 episodes.
This all depends on how they execute it but I’m not trying to jump the gun when we still have plenty of story left to tell. I feel like I can’t judge pacing until the season is over. Maybe that’s too late for me to form an opinion, but I find it easier to look back instead of assuming as we go along.
So I won’t say it was “rushed” or anything like that until we get further in. Then I’ll think about possible pacing issues.
Hm, that’s all I got I guess! Lol.)

I always want to send a list to someone, of Mangas I enjoyed, but I don't have one... (¯ ¯٥)
So I make a list here! :)

Miku has always dreamed of being an actress-but just when she has a shot at making her dream a reality, her life takes an unreal twist. She's hurled into the "world of the play," a strange mansion where she meets seven mysterious, and potentially dangerous, characters.
They all have their own secrets, but there's one thing Miku knows for sure: if she doesn't find the page that was stolen from their script, she'll be trapped in the false world forever!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sounds interesting, didn't it? If you're a huge fan of Hatsune Miku, you'll love it! Even you're not... So I hope... (・_・;)
Book number two:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Moriarty the Patriot
Bevor he was Sherlock's rival, Moriarty fought against the unfair class caste system in London by making sure corrupt nobility got their comeuppance. But even the most well-intentioned plans can spin out of control-will Moriarty's dream of a more just an equal world turn him into a hero...ore a Monster?
In the late 19th century, Great Britain rules over a quarter of the world. Nobles sit in their fancy homes in comfort and luxury, while the working class slaves away at their jobs. When young Albert James Moriarty's upper-class family adopts two lower-class orphans, the cruelty the boys experience at his family's hand's cements Albert's hatred of the nobility he was born into. He ask the older of the two boys-who has a genius mind and a killer instinct-to help him rid the word of evil, starting with Albert's own family.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Moriarty is one of my favorite books I ever read. I love detective story's and bloody murder, so this book is perfect. The mix between Moriarty- and Sherlock's cases are perfect, so you can see more perspectives of a case and their real meanings.
Seriously, I think I would join Moriarty's agency. Corruption is never a way, I know, but at least it helped. I wish, this world can be changed to...
You can also watch the Anime! _________________________________________
Book number three:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I know what happened... their getting boyfriends... Yeah, Haikyu is the reason why I ship boys... AND IT'S NOT EVEN A BL!!!

When Nakajima is engaged by Dazai and his associate Kunikida to hunt down a man-eating tiger terrorizing the region, little does Nakajima suspect that the encounter will transform his life forever!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What a awesome Manga!!!
The Anime is a masterpiece!!! 人(_ _*)
_________________________________________
The last book, number five:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Demon Slayer
In Taisho-era Japan, kindhearted Tanjiro Kamado makes a living selling charcoal. But his peaceful is shattered when a demon slaughters his entire family. His little sister Nezuko is the only survivor, but she has been transformed into a Demon herself! Tanjiro sets out on a dangerous journey to find a way to return his little sister to normal and destroy the demon who ruined his life.
Learning to slay demons won't be easy, and Tanjiro barely knows where to start. The surprise appearance of another boy named Giyu, who seems to know what's going on, might provide some answers... but only if Tanjiro can stop Giyu from killing his sister first!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have to say, I only bought the Manga because I liked the Anime so mutch! The Manga is good too, but the artstyle isn't my type.
