Love is in the big gestures and the little ones

Tamaki is known for his big gestures but often, these are usually a bit skewed; they're either 1. Haruhi hates them lol, 2. Too extra. TOO. EXTRA

but the best love gestures between them are the little ones

They're always thinking of each other, caring for each other even if Haruhi is less showy about it

This is a really asian thing in writing ig but I've found in a lot of asian writings couples (also when they're not couples yet) motivating each other or looking up to each other and wanting to do their best in study or work or whatever because of it

Tamaki is, despite being older than Haruhi, not as mentally mature compared to her. Maybe it's because she's always had to work harder as a commoner (lol) so she knew where she was heading and what she wanted to do with the limited means that she had. Tamaki had all the money but he matured in the area at a normal pace (compared with a commoner who had to be aware and set their goals at younger age)

He is a lot more expressive and more in touch with his emotions compared to Haruhi but mentally he's just a 17 years old dude trying his best when it comes to the more serious stuff like his future

I find it really endearing that he goes to Haruhi to talk about his ambitions. Then when he was accepted by his grandmother to go the main mansion, he decided to tell Haruhi too; went to her house both times to tell or discuss with her

For Tamaki, Haruhi is someone who's reliable and a good listener to him and he needs someone like that on his side. She also sees thru all his nonsensical stuff. (Which I might add is why his bestest friend is Kyoya. In some ways, Haruhi is a lot like Kyoya.)

Anyway

Extra Tamaki and lethargic Haruhi is just such ☺️🩷☺️🩷☺️👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 couple for me i have no words (i had a lot of words ik). Bisco Hatori made a whole shoujo manga subvert tropes in a way that's so not so freaking noticeable, she just pulled it off like magic, and doesn't stop it from being so silly too, it's amazing.

I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!! I dunno what clicked in my brain within the past few months but I went from enjoying him as part of the Nekoma 2nd-year trio to really appreciating him as an individual, especially how he's written in the manga. He's just a dude with so much love and passion for his favorite sport, he's suprisingly respectful too and a great teammate who's constantly hyping up everyone around him. Also he makes it to a division one team and no one ever talks about that?? CAUSE THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT HIM LIKE I DO RAHHHHH

So even though he's the second most obnoxious person on Nekoma I will defend him till my final breath, Tora hq you're the realest ever

okay so. i was very (VERY) obsessed with these 2012-2014, which is when i started to do a ton of fanart, and i was heavily influenced by them. very pointy shapey square fingers and all........ learned how to draw hands by drawing in danny phantom style lol. anyways stylistically gravity falls is a bit of an outlier because its very Round but setting/themes are anj bait and it had its claws in me the minute it aired. now i am making you look at my 2012 danny phantom art because its funny

anyways in 2015 i got super invested in ace attorney and had to suddenly learn how to draw Suits and Adult Men (in 2015 the men i drew did not look like adults but god was i trying)

uhhhh then i went to school for animation in 2018 which loosened up my sketching a ton since i used to draw way too stiff haha. drawing the same things thousands of times over and over does that i guess
