pondering that falon'din is associated with an owl, and those are also messengers of andruil. and he's referred to as "winged death" which is also mentioned to be something that elgar'nan deploys against enemies. and both falon'din and andruil are referred to as venturing into dark places, where no one else can survive/wanted to go.

and ghilan'nain was not initially an evanuris, but was antagonistic towards them and making a bunch of weird creatures. she was given the offer to join them in return for getting rid of the creatures, and accepted. but with "pride stopping her hand" from destroying a few. and when asked about trusting people to share power, solas says "I know that mistake well enough to carve the angles of her face from memory."

solas also has nothing good at all to say about falon'din, mostly calling him a bloodthirsty tyrant who went so far in encroaching onto other evanuris territory that mythal had to besiege his temple and beat him up to stop him.

but he says nothing about dirthamen at all.

dirthamen is described as having gone missing unexpectedly, scaring all his followers, because they were now unprotected. and caught between their own high priest wanting to lock them into the temple forever like a cask of amontillado, and other forces outside that wanted to take their secrets by force. there is one note that a dirthamen follower defied the evanuris and took on a forbidden (probably a dragon) type of form, and was judged by elgar'nan harshly. he apparently also invented the varterral to protect his town from a high dragon? wack, but also could indicate that he had worked with ghilan'nain on making it, since she's the only one who's otherwise mentioned to be bioengineering stuff.

dirthamen has very very few surviving statues or depictions, and is more associated with falon'din than as his own independent figure in the dalish myths. even his own temple includes mosaics of falon'din. there's a few statues that are probably dirthamen, but the most striking is in mythal's section of the fade behind the eluvian, which is a statue of a hooded figure, doubled over with a giant sword sticking out of his back.

why citlali is immortal

why traveler wasnt able to gain the power of pyro when touching the statue

why ajaw was locked up on the first place

why does the statue look like mavuika

there's probably more i just cant think of them right now

If you've recently had to reconsider plans of seeking a diagnosis, or you worry that you may still need one even despite new concerns for your privacy and safety: consider what accommodations you'd hoped to gain from an official diagnosis, and determine if you can still obtain them without one.

They can do this for you without you having any official diagnosis. Get your executive dysfunction/anxiety/overstimulation/etc. accommodated at work or at school without needing the full diagnostic code.

(Individual diagnosis for particular behaviors/symptoms without a full diagnosis linking them back to any specific condition may also be possible but I don't know enough right now to say if it's recommendable.)

Also remember that it's illegal for a lot of places to ask you for health/medical documentation. Know your rights. Don't disclose any medical info that you legally don't have to disclose. Give nothing away; even if it is legal for them to ask, you may not legally need to provide an answer.

Find out what information your insurance, pharmacy, etc. have been sharing about you; HIPPA allows disclosure between providers and insurers without your knowledge or permission. Find out if that information has been going anywhere else.

Know yourself; if you tend to overshare or say too much about yourself, be careful who you speak to.

Peer-review and self-diagnosis are valid; especially if an official diagnosis is likely to do more harm than good, by causing you to be denied citizenship in certain countries, or forbidding you from fostering or adopting, or enabling hidden workplace discrimination (up to and including reduced pay, rejected job applications, and terminated employment), or disqualifying you from insurance plans, or allowing toxic carers in an unsafe home environment (or anyone else you may be legally/financially dependant on) to effectively use your condition against you in a bid for control over your autonomy.

Be aware of your medical needs, go to checkups and get what you need to maintain your health, don't cut off your own access to professionals; but know the benefits and know the risks involved. Know the cost of access to gatekept resources. Be aware of who and what will be able to see your private info. Protect your privacy and autonomy. If the risk isn't worth it, then know what you can manage yourself, and know who you can rely on for the rest. Regardless, do what it takes to survive and get yourself the safety you need. Research how to best support yourself without a diagnosis or without access to a professional.

Self-advocate for the services you need. Demand the support that will empower you.

Don't be a martyr. Watching out for yourself and your loved ones and your community is more important than making a statement.

Know your support network. Reach out to community. Connect with other people in your position and share what you know.

If this isn't you but rather someone in your family or friend-group or community: help them build/maintain a support network that will assist with practical accommodation. Push schools/workplaces to give accomodations without need of a diagnosis from the one being accommodated. Be an ally. Protect your diagnosed family, friends, and neighbors. Protect your undiagnosed family, friends, and neighbors. Advocate for institutionalized people. Advocate for and listen to and protect those with higher support needs.

Not everyone will be able to do this. Protect the ones who can't.

I did! Even if I don't update this blog, I'm always up to date and also watch Merui's CN streams for future patches o7

2.5 is such a great patch to me because it reminds me of the format of the old non-main story patches from the 1.X series--a self-contained story that can be enjoyed on its own and sets up fun details for the main story but doesn't REQUIRE to watch it to PROPERLY understand the main story, unlike how you need to watch 2.0 and 2.1--two side events--to understand why the fuck Anjo Nala exists in 2.2--a main story patch.

All characters are so solid, whether they're NPCs or playables! One thing that always pisses me off about the 2.X series is that in most patches, it feels like only ONE of the new 6 stars gets the spotlight (think of Joe in 2.0, since Mercuria fucking DISAPPEARS from the plot halfway through, compared to Melania and Pickles in 1.1 or Lucy and Kakania in 1.9) or the 5 star gets SO FUCKING IGNORED for the entire patch (think of Barbara in 2.1 being literally irrelevant and having little to no screentime, compared to Blonney in 1.2 or Desert Flannel in 1.5. You can replace Barbara with any NPC that also belongs to UTTU, but you can't switch Blonney nor Desert Flannel for anyone else because of how important they are as themselves). But all three playables shine on their own and have extremely solid dynamics with each other, without being FULLY dependent on one another.

I didn't really care for Poitier and Liang Yue when I first saw 2.5 when it released in CN, but now that I could experience the entire event on my own, I LOVE THEM TO BITSSSSSS. Poitier ended up being so fun and solid mentor figure for Liang Yue, and Liang Yue turned out to be such a compelling character EVEN without the need for her character event. Loggerhead was such a treat too and Noire's entire story is so interesting. It's such a solid patch and I miss when events were like this, instead of half-assed attempts at piecing together the main story while sacrificing the core of the patch orz

I'm so excited for them to follow up on ANYTHING related to Matilda and her mother, or Black Ibis on the Vigiles Bureau. And I HOPE they do follow up on these things AFTER they're done with all the shit happening currently with Igor and Urd and Laplace

I'm just kinda sad right now.

Cause there was a point where the server wasn't ever really *closed*.

Between Bad, Foolish and Tubbo with their 8+ hour streams, Etoiles' addiction to maxing out his stats, Cellbit, Pac and Phil having clear schedules where you *knew* they'd be on, Fit and the extended morning crew being there practically every day like clockwork, and people like Roier, Mouse, Niki, Charlie, Max, Jaiden, and Antoine (etc etc) instantly spicing up the vibe any day they popped in, fairly constant events (both lore and cultural events), and the admins (of all kinds) keeping it running fairly smoothly (we now know this was a nightmare in many many ways but we didn't at the time) the server had times where it was almost 24/7 and IMPOSSIBLE to watch every stream if you weren't a cave hermit who also didn't sleep

Now it is almost surprising if someone other than Tubbo or Bad is on the server at all

Roier was on recently and... the ghost town nature of it was miserable to me. It's like walking into a city centre and finding no one.

Just Tubbo's signs that he pretends are from his eggs and Bad's pranks that aren't as funny when the entire in game chat doesn't clown on the person he got.

The lack of admins in particular is the weirdest thing coz you just can't ignore it. It's different from when the eggs were gone coz bored admins would turn up all the time, not just one or two MAYBE to goof off with Tubbo and Bad every now and then (obvious reasons for this are obvious and necessary, I'm not actually complaining that overworked employees have chosen to leave a project that was detrimental to them or that restructuring is happening to keep it from happening again, like bruh).

Like. I'm just. I'm just sad.

Big prayge that somehow Quackity Studios manages to fix this all up legally, that the merch sales really helped and that the server can be somewhat what it was, whatever that will look like.

Until then I think I'll go find the qsmp prison and purgatory vods coz I wanna hear a bunch of multinational multilingual minecraft players yelling in my ears about pixel eggs and the Federation
