Boruto wearing so many pins and necklaces arguably clutters his design a bit but I think it's entirely worth it for the emotional damage they give me

Like. at this point, Boruto hasn't been able to go home in three years. he's regarded as a traitor to his village and family by nearly everyone. there are orders to have him killed on sight. most of his friends hate him and almost nobody remembers him for who he truly is.

But despite all of that, he doesn't let go of what he had. He wears a badge of the village symbol that cast him out. He wears a necklace of the Uzumaki crest, despite the people saying he doesn't belong to that family anymore. He has a pin of the design that was on the back of his first coat, as if to say that's still who he is.

And the one that makes me go insane the most - he wears a sun symbol, of all things. A reference to Himawari, possibly, whose name means "sunflower"... but seeing as it's not a flower pin, I have a feeling that it's actually a reference to Mitsuki.

Mitsuki, who always said that Boruto was like the sun. For him to now wear a sun on his coat, I can only imagine that he valued being seen that way by him more than he let on; enough to include it in what's functionally a compilation of the symbols of his identity.

He's Uzumaki Boruto, from Konoha, and apparently, the sun in Mitsuki's sky. I am never going to be normal again

Eyes dart from the food, the time, to his phone which rested at arms-reach in case Fizz answered his text message (nothing yet).

At least if he got a text, he'd know whether or not he should start dinner without Fizz. 6:23. Seven more minutes. At this point, he's impatiently tapping his foot while standing over the stove — the anxiety was creeping up worse than ever the closer their agreed time loomed and that door didn't open.

To think... the Embodiment of Lust getting stood up by his date boyfriend for the second time this week. Unheard of amongst the masses but they don't know the reality he's lived. It's silly in hindsight. But punctuality does matter to him. Especially when with someone the heart's so fond of. Frankly, he's tired of going to bed alone and with plans that fell through weighing over his head. It's not the best thing to fall asleep to.

Shoulders begin to drop as another minute passes and there's still no text. No video message. Not even a "read" notification. What if he's still at work and didn't even look? Forgot? Sighing, Ozzie needed something to occupy his hands with. So, he settled for fixing himself a plate. Guess he isn't coming.

At this rate, he isn't really in the mood for dinner now. A disgusting sadness took place in his stomach where an appetite once was. He already made the food, why let it go to waste? Suppose Fizz could help himself whenever he gets home, too.

Disappointment settled in when another minute passed and Ozzie's already forcing himself to ignore the time, fighting the urge to watch the clock (it'll only upset him more). Just when Ozzie's eyeing the case which kept his alcohol (maybe putting up with the trouble of accessing them is worth it this time), thoughts are interrupted by the sound of their babies rushing to the door - whimpering and yapping the whole way. Setting the plate down, Ozzie's following the girls to the door ...

Just like that, the sound of Fizzarolli's voice is enough to bring spirits from the bottom of a bottle to sky high. 6:29. He'd let himself glance at the time, catching a glimpse before immediately finding Fizz at their living room. ❝ He... Hey! I was wondering...! ❞ I thought you forgot. The way Ozzie's whole demeanor shifts, radiating excitement and overwhelming emotion.

Even Ram and Bull are more animated, with Ram doing flips and Bull bursting into cyan flames. He's anxious to get his hands on Fizz.

❝ Okay — step aside, girls. Step aside. ❞ He understands their excitement perfectly but ultimately settles for sweeping his Imp up into his arms and kissing his cheek. ❝ Welcome home, Froggie. ♡ ❞ he may look composed but duo heads are ratting him out. Even in the way chest swells with held breath to keep composure. ❝ Wanna wash up real quick? I'll fix your plate. ❞ He needs something to occupy himself.

I’m not into Billy, but I wouldn’t mind fans sympathizing with him if they weren’t so eager to throw every other character under the bus. The arguments so often boil down to “only Billy is allowed to act out due to his difficult circumstances. Everyone else is at fault if they behave imperfectly, no matter what they’re dealing with.” It’s understandable for him to be mean to Max due to the toxic household dynamics, but, if she responds in kind, she’s a vindictive brat. Steve should have explained the (very weird supernatural) situation better if he didn’t want Billy to beat the shit out of him. Lucas, the thirteen-year-old black boy, probably scared him (?!?!). Jonathan is also not a perfect person despite having a well-meaning mom, so doesn’t that make him worse than Billy? Why is everyone so hard on Billy when Nancy is in a bad mood sometimes?

a lot of material for minedai exists in the RGGO stories, which most people might not know bout or care enough about to read. not that y3 doesn't blatantly tell you mine's feelings, but only going off of y3, it's not easy to make the case that daigo's feelings are as intense compared to having context from y3 and the stories. just from y3, it looks more one-sided

there's also just the case that people don't like daigo, mine, or the idea of them together

Obsessed with the dynamic (not romantic, not platonic, but a secret third thing--both and yet neither) between two characters who knew and cared about each deeply years ago when they were both younger and life was much less complicated.

But then, tragic, transformative circumstances separated them. Assuming that this separation was certainly permanent, because how could it not be?

And yet, somehow finding each other again years later, and sometimes they aren't sure whether the reunion that they once longed for with every fiber of their beings is a blessing, a curse, a joke, or a punishment.

Because they've both changed in the intervening years--largely because of the hellish circumstances that caused their separation. They've both changed completely and irrevocably, even if one of them has changed much more noticeably and dramatically than the other to the point of seeming a complete stranger. It is about leaning to see and appreciate all the things that have changed about the other and all the things that have not changed. It's about learning to reconcile beloved, often rose-tinted memories with the complex, yet-equally-compelling reality of the person those memories are about.
