There probably are valid things to be said about all the dead enbys, but also I don’t know what to tell you, it’s a horror podcast, the nonbinary characters are going to suffer and/or die horribly.

Why do I keep seeing transmascs and trans men insisting or implying that all trans men are "female socialized," or "understand the female experience," or "navigated the world as a woman." Because yeah, sure, that can be true for some people. especially if you weren't gnc at all as a kid and didn't crack your egg until well into adulthood, it makes sense.
But they don't stop at saying they had that experience. It always comes with an addendum that trans men, as a group, all can relate to this experience. I don't know about the entirety of my demographic, but I never got even a little bit of what some of them talk about. I didn't even believe that women were scared of going out at night until I kept consistently seeing them say it, online or wherever, for years. I never realized catcalling was a thing until I saw some women complaining about it on reddit.
But they posit it as some sort of, you're safer than cis men, right? You know what it's like? Which, on top of being patently, demonstrably false in the case of myself and many other trans men, holds some unpleasant and often outright hostile implications about trans women. And they always deny it, but if you can't even conceptualize someone like me who grew up gnc, and never got the bulk (or any?) of whatever we consider to be 'female socialization,' what does that say about what you think trans girls went through, growing up? I don't want to speak for them, as I've never experienced that firsthand, but I can guarantee that (if you're even a little bit obviously trans) people don't treat you like a cis kid of the opposite gender. By and large, they don't get treated like cis boys.
It just makes me mad that we're taking this inaccurate framework that (ever so conveniently) puts trans people into the box of our assumed birth gender, and trying to fancy it up and use it with a faux-progressive veneer; never mind the way that transphobes use it to bar trans women from being athletes, or using the bathroom, or having access to any gendered resources they need. It would be bad enough to try and dust it off and use it even if it were largely accurate, due to the aforementioned connections to outright transphobia, but it literally is patently false. Not in all cases, obviously, but why are we trying to revamp this untrue, inaccurate generalization and pretend that we can make it 'trans-inclusive?'

sorry but i am SO deeply tired of the 'aphobia isnt real' arguments because they are literally always being conducted in such bad faith. NO there is not specific societal or legal discrimation against aces and aros BECAUSE we are asexual and or aromantic. you cannot hold specifically bigoted beliefs towards a group you do not even know exist. there ARE, however, underlying and deeply pervasive systems and beliefs that actively erase, dehumanise and make life tangibly more difficult for aro and ace people on a social, economic and legal basis. most of this is due to hyperinvisibility, the medicalisation of any nonnormative + misunderstood orientations, the elevation of romance + romantic structures as the most important aspects of interpersonal relationships in society, as well as the nuclear atomisation of the family. among other things. like. amatonormativity has never been ABOUT aromantic people specfically oh my GOD. its simply the underlying social belief that everyone is expected to be in monogamous romantic relationships and that those relationships are expected to the default centre of one's life. its something that affects EVERYONE! but within that it affects aromantic people in a specific and heightened way because of our inability to participate in it in a societally acceptable way. like these are not 'aromantic' or 'asexual' or 'polyamorous' issues specifically. these are theories and terms that originated within feminist + queer sociology studies! its all part of the wider underlying social fabric! aspec people are simply pointing out that we are often affected by these things in unique and often unseen ways.
the idea that we believe people actively 'hate' us for being asexual or aromantic is completely ridiculous. most people i know do not even know the definition of those words! so how could they hate me for it. they could however, for example, hold the pervasive + societally unchallenged belief that not experiencing sexual or romantic attraction is a medical issue or something concerningly abnormal in a human being + something i should get fixed. and its not uncommon that when you DO explain that its simply your orientation to them, they continue to medicalise it and see it as some sort of issue. genuinely so deeply tired of having to explain this to people time and time again when they only want to cherry pick the most ridiculous arguments to respond to and then act as if that's a majority held opinion in the aspec community. like i actually think we are aware of how society views us we're not fucking deluded and stupid. we don't have victim complexes we are just pointing out facts that yall are so desperate to ignore. UGHHHHH

The extent of the left wing politics you see in a Terry Pratchett book are introductory and are not a replacement for in-depth political theory, it looks just as silly to constantly be referencing Discworld abt capitalism as it does to be referencing The Hunger Games, you do still have to read other books!!

Why does it seem like people completely gloss over the fact that Uzi canonically does not blame any of the disassembly drones for her mom’s death
She sat down in front of one of the possible candidates and told him he was being mistreated and was sent to die. She had the opportunity to blame one of the two she did not like at the time and chose to blame humans. She told Doll to shove it cause there were bigger things at stake than getting revenge
The only people who would care about N killing Nori are Nori and N (and maybe Khan but he clearly warmed up to N and V existing if ep5 is anything to go off)
“Oh but it could’ve been an interesting plot point” fuckin
Oh yeah sure let’s make Uzi get all weird about N killing the mom she barely even knew instead of focusing on the bigger issue of The Things That Sent The Disassembly Drones in The First Place. Yeah that’ll be an interesting plot point seeing Uzi act completely out of character about something like that.
That’s not Uzi. I dunno who some people think the characters are but Uzi canonically did not hyper focus on something like that. Doll did because she witnessed both of her parents get taken from her.

nothing's more annoying than people who don't even give a fuck about the borgias, except using it to dunk on house of the dragon. can't people just enjoy the spanish-italian incestuous scheming siblings show for what it is without somehow making it about the dragon one?

I've already seen many interpretations of this page, which makes it a little perplexing. My interpretation is that there is more to the two routes than just Uraume and Yorozu.
Tumblr media
Uraume most likely had a similar past to Sukuna's and was saved by him, Uraume symbolizes Sukuna's retaliation against humans (hatred)
they give me Zabuza and Haku vibes from Naruto, or Kenpachi and Yachiru but Idk I haven't actually watched Bleach.
While Yorozu symbolizes the path of love (she's merely a symbol I doubt Sukuna actually loved her if anything he loved gojo💀 the theme of love was very prominent in the fight with gojo Sukuna was very arrogant he only could be reached by someone as powerful as him)
Sukuna obviously took the hateful route, bringing Uraume down with him. That explains why we see them strolling together down a fresh path at the conclusion.
If you picture geto instead of Sukuna and the paths as Nanako and Mimiko on the right and Gojo on the left, I believe everything becomes lot clearer.

The Deca S1E3: Scandalous Scendeles || Recorded Changes
Minor word changes.
Grammar corrections.
Corrected Scendeles verbage.
Adjusted a Scendeles’s dialogue to reference Only Dead Fish.
Modified dialogue between Ushas and Millennia.
Replaced flashback with dialogue.
Let Theta say “fuck.”
Swapped passive voice to active.
Corrected typos.
Removed Epsilon from the second to last scene.
Final Word Count: -67
Barnable's Behind-the-Scenes Babbles
vansell's line about the scendeles's robe being on backwards is one of the few i've written that actually cracks me up.
i can tell from how i wrote the first scene with mortimus that i was initially hesitant to lean into his sluttiness. in the chapter i made some adjustments to be more confident in it. i am now wondering what else i might have hesitated with so far, though. i was always (and still am) very terrified to share some of my headcanons. whenever i've posted a chapter with a more significant concept i've always anxiously awaited the hate comments. 5.5 years and i haven't gotten any. thanks for accepting my goofy ideas.
to elaborate on the dialogue i modified between ushas and millennia: since writing this chapter i read doctor who and the krikkitmen and i could not stop laughing at "the potato solution for world peace." given that a potato is central to a plot in this chapter, i couldn't resist tying it in.
at one point i wrote basically "4/10 of the deca were there so the table was less than half empty" and nobody has pointed that out to me in over five years. it correctly says "MORE than half empty" now.
i was trying to figure out why jelpax&vansell have 2 plots back-to-back then i remembered that their plot in the new magnus was completely improvised as i needed a 3rd plot and they happened to be unoccupied characters as opposed to this chapter where they were always intended to be together. coincidences are a funny thing.
(i also tried to figure out why epsilon is there twice in a row and genuinely i have no idea. my best guess is that i was making some sort of jokes with my friend, his creator, at the time and it amused me to add him in. it annoys me now. i think it's overdone. get him out of here he's not a member of the deca!!! oh well. too late to remove him now.)
“Who cares?” Theta groaned. “All I see is a bad grade and a failed class.” “That’s all you ever see.” this is my favorite. petition for more of this rallon.
“Why did you stop being friends?” “Because he stopped taking showers.” this is my other favorite. no further comment.
dumb typo of the week: "ment" instead of "meant." congratulations to this typo for surviving almost 5.5 years on ao3 without correction!
especially towards the end, some of this dialogue is so clunky it's making me cringe. ouch. can't believe i got away with this.
what other rules did ushas write down? more importantly... how many of them have been broken? questions to ponder.
overall, i did not take away very much from this chapter. no open plot threads or unanswered questions that i can see.
bonus note: THERE WAS A FUCKING TYPO IN THE SUMMARY

This is your friendly reminder that the Proverbs 31 woman was actually amazing.
This woman ran a household and a business. Not her husband's business, her own. And apparently did extremely well at both those things. We know she was an excellent manager, because she saw to her servants' needs as well as her family's. We also know she was an excellent and successful entrepeneur who actively worked alongside her servants to make her business grow. We even know what kind of businesses she ran: She was a weaver and a vintner.
We know she's a weaver because the scriptures specifically describe her working with wool and flax, which is the raw material for linen, and turning it into fabric that she sells at a healthy profit and uses to clothe her entire household. From the NRSV-CE:
"[13] She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands."
"[19] She puts her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle."
"[21] She is not afraid for her household when it snows, for all her household are clothed in crimson. [22] She makes herself coverings; her clothing is fine linen and purple."
"[24] She makes linen garments and sells them; she supplies the merchant with sashes."
That last bit in verse 22 about purple is significant, because it's almost certainly talking about royal purple, which was the single most expensive dye in the ancient world. This is, unequivocally, a statement of wealth. Enormous wealth. She's not so much running a business as a business empire.
Again, this is specifically her business, not her husband's, as evidenced in the same verse that talks about her being a vintner. From the NRSV-CE again:
"[16] She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard."
Or, to spell it out explicitly, we'll quote the NIV (which I normally dislike for reasons):
"[16] She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard."
We also know that she's a good manager who works alongside her servants, rather than sitting back and requiring them to do the work for her. More to the point, she's the hardest worker in the business and at home, as evidenced in the verses above, and in verses 15, 17, and 25 (Again in the NRSV-CE):
"[15] She rises while it is still night and provides food for her household and tasks for her servant-girls."
"[17] She girds herself with strength, and makes her arms strong."
"[25] Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come."
Important sidenote: If the repeated emphasis on her strength is anything to go by, this lady was swole.
The Proverbs 31 woman is a subject that's been talked to death by Christians. Most of the time they downplay her feats and accomplishments, which is honestly a shame. It's my strong opinion that she deserves to be remembered as a legend. Also the modern Church could benefit from celebrating women's excellence in general. Christ is glorified when we honour His whole body, not just the parts we're comfortable with.

Tired of people saying Indigo Park is a cashgrab, mf it's free!
The only reason why there's merch was because fans wanted it, people were buying bootlegs so the only thing they could think of was to put out official merch and that money is going into the game, I have never made a game before but I assume it's not easy and it costs too, paying the voice actors and people who helped work on it
It's also a passion project
