hi babes!!! I'm looking for this fic that I want to read again but just can't find!!!!! basically, (from what i remember) Neil is a shadow traveller who travels in the shadow realm ever since Mary died to escape his father!! if I'm not wrong he's found after he breaks into the foxhole trying to find medicine to heal himself and for some reason he gets bound to Andrew!! also, he's very friendly with some hellhounds!!

The Fae king and queens have gone away, closing the knowes behind them and abandoning their offspring to the mortal world. As the Fae have spread far and wide, their bloodlines thinning if not vanishing forever as they flee from mortal persecution... two Fae have found a way to reopen the knowes - Kayleigh Day and Tetsuji Moriyama. The Fae regroup once more, the balance of power shifted amongst them, and 'changelings' appear now and then in the mortal population.

Andrew Doe is one of those changelings, a young child suffering in the foster system, shunned by his peers for some reason and hearing voices in his head.

Alex - the latest name gifted to him by a charm - is on the run along with his mother from his father, using their talents as shadow walkers to slide between worlds and stay one step ahead of the powerful Fae. Except even that is not enough anymore. Except that's not Alex's only talent.

Objectively speaking, Neil should have issues with his sight if not be completely blind in one eye, at least the one near the burn scar.

For plot reasons none of this happened, but logically speaking being burnt so closely to your eye would damage the capillaries and the general sight + the other eye wouldn't be safe either because of the cuts, they got pretty close to it more than once so it should have some kind of damage.

This came up to me while i was thinking about Andrew discovering Neil's blind spot and using it so he can gaze at him for entire minutes until Neil finally turns around and catches him. (he calls this "observing" and "checking he's not hurt", but everyone knows he's just lovingly staring at Neil) (("You're staring" "No I'm not." "You were!" "Shut up, Josten."))

Neil at first doesn't even notice it, he knows that Andrew is always standing close to him, whether or not it's in his blind spot, so he doesn't bother turning to check, until one day someone sits on Neil's side before Andrew can and the blond almost breaks hell loose for his place. Neil calls himself stupid for not catching it earlier and the foxes are not even surprised it took him months to become aware of what was happening mere inches from him.

(everyone should thank @sapphoherselz for this one, she screamed at me to post this after i spent a good half an hour yapping)

Apropos of this post by @sapphoherselz (so sorry girl, I will leave you alone after this I promise) and every other hc of the twinyards having the same taste in love interests, I'm proposing a fic idea:

Imagine a uni au (sans the mafia) where Andrew/Aaron/Nicky have a slightly closer relationship and it's become increasingly obvious that Aaron's pining after someone but he refuses to give any concrete details. However, he occasionally drops hints by accident that Andrew absolutely catches like this person being a readhead, them working in one of the bookstores on campus, and them being a cheerleader. So then Aaron tells them he's inviting his roommate Neil over for thanksgiving and Andrew's like oh shit, because he literally met Neil a few weeks prior at the bookstore and is now realising that he's probably the guy Aaron's into.

Cue the angst and the silly misunderstandings when Andrew tries to not get in Aaron's way but Neil makes all of his efforts be in absolute vain because he's hellbent on annoying Aaron by befriending his brother
