Birthright
as most of you know, i’m chinese and very proud of my culture, so despite santhe being my lavellan and a fantasy oc, she’s still very strongly chinese-inspired. Here’s a piece of her in a traditional outfit from ancient china!

SULEVIN
Sulevin - Elvish for ‘purpose.’
This piece has been a really long journey; I don’t think I’ve ever poured so much time and effort into detailing armor and jewelry before!

Before the day ends, I just want to wish my daughter a very happy 5th birthday and a happy 5th anniversary to Dragon Age: Inquisition! thanks for breaking my heart over and over again, but also inspiring me to create countless pieces and take my art to new heights ♡ I can’t wait to see what DA4 brings.

Farewell | blood tw below the line!
This is a piece I did as a little break from zine work! I was thinking a lot about if Santhe had been my Hawke in DA2, and if I had left her behind in the Fade instead of Alistair in DAI. Then I thought about how a Fenris-romanced Hawke says “I’m sorry, Fenris” when they sacrifice themselves, and that whole thought process just led to this piece. It hurt to draw tbh but it was really good expression practice, I think!
Bloodied version below the line!

SULEDIN
SULEDIN - Elvish for 'Finding strength in enduring loss or pain.'
First piece of 2019! Took a little time to do a self indulgent study between commissions and it turned into another piece in my HERITAGE series! Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, treating breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.

"Turn into something beautiful, and you know
For you I'd bleed myself dry."
I polled a couple ideas for a new piece of Santhe on Twitter, and the most popular answer I got was vampire AU ♡
