~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Half the night you tossed and turned filled with longing and regret and the other half you felt your anger reignite. The back and forth of your emotions leaving you rattled and unsure of what to do next.
When morning came, you felt like shit. Dark bags under your eyes, face a greyish color, eyes bloodshot red and hair a mess. You stared at yourself in the mirror feeling the weight of the day ahead. You had to go to training and more than likely see Azriel, you knew he wouldn’t skip it, after that you had a meeting with Rhys, and then you had to work all day at the library. A sigh left you as you thought of the long day ahead and all the responsibilities you had when all you wanted was to curl up in bed and sleep the day away. The thought of you and Azriel ending made you want to drop to your knees. If the possibility of that made you want to weep, you couldn’t imagine what seeing him today would do to you.
Closing your eyes you managed to quiet all your thoughts and started breathing in and out, telling yourself that Azriel hadn’t broken up with you last night. This was just a disagreement and everything would work itself out… You repeated this to yourself until you finally felt determination settle over you. Determination to work this out, to not let it consume you, and especially to not let Azriel see how much he had affected you. If he was going to act the way he did last night, cold and distant, then you would act the same.
So with one last look at yourself in this state, you turned around and started getting ready for the day.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Every bone in your body begged you not to go to training. Your body was sore, thanks to Azriel, and the sleepless night did little to soothe your body. But you wouldn't give Cassian any reason to hold skipping for a second time this week against you, and most importantly, you wouldn't let Azriel get in the way of your duties to the Night Court. You owed much to Rhys.
As you walked into the training pit, you immediately noticed the Shadowsinger's presence. His back was turned to you as he adjusted the wraps on his hands. He continued what he was doing but you could tell by the slight twitch of his wings and the movement of his shadows that he knew you had walked in.
You wondered if he wished you had stayed back, if he wanted to see you, or if he simply just didn’t care. By the way he carried himself, it seemed like the latter. You fought against the pain blooming in your chest. You always wanted to see Azriel. Right now, all you wanted was to touch him, hug him, and rest your head in the space between his wings. But you were starting to realize your feelings for Azriel were stronger than his. Was he not filled with the same need as you? The realization came to you late in the night as you replayed the argument, the way he had looked at you, talked to you.
There was no doubt in your mind anymore that you felt more for him.
Training went by agonizingly slow, your heart never slowing down, your mind never letting you forget Azriel was nearby. You had tried sneaking looks at Azriel, hoping to catch him staring at you, but he seemed unbothered by your presence, never sparing you a glance.
You couldn’t understand how he could just turn off his emotions like this. You knew becoming involved with your best friend, as emotionally challenged as he was, would be difficult, and you were aware his profession relied on detachment of emotions but how could he act like you meant nothing after having consoled you just the night before? After showing you how much he cared for you. It didn’t make any sense and you felt that you were being toyed with.
Azriel was trying very hard to stay focused on his workout. He was ready to be done for the day, not wanting to be near you any more than he had to. He felt ashamed and embarrassed at his actions from the night before, and quite frankly he had not gathered the courage needed to talk to you. During all of training, his mind kept racing with thoughts of what to say to you, jumping from one thought to the other. Azriel felt all over the place and nowhere closer to finding the words to better explain his actions. He tried keeping his eyes off you, knowing he wouldn’t be able to carry on with his day if he saw how you looked. Instead he relied on his shadows’ descriptions of you- whispers of the bags under your eyes, the frown on your face, the looks you were sending his way- which didn’t aid his overthinking.
He wanted to comfort you, to hold you, but knowing he had been the reason why you felt this way made him feel sick. Training felt like torture, his self-deprication not letting him get the relief he seeked from a hard session. Deciding he was better off in solitude today, he started getting ready to leave. He figured if he could just get away from you, the smell of you, the whispers of his shadows, he could think of an apology. All night he had replayed the possibility of telling the inner circle, of becoming official, and he couldn't escape all the negative outcomes his mind had come up with. He needed to figure out an apology that would not compromise his belief in remaining private for as long as possible- until he felt assured that nothing would go wrong.
Finishing up your last set of drills, you looked over at Azriel for the countless time that day. He was stretching, having just finished his drills as well, and the anger building up in you took over. You started walking towards him as everyone else headed out and his shadows rushed around him, probably letting their master know you were walking over. He looked from his peripheral view to confirm and straightened up, turning his back to you and starting to walk away to the changing rooms.
You were livid. The way Azriel had ignored you during training irked you in a way you had never experienced before. You had never been this angry at him. You understood the way the conversation went last night wasn't the best but he didn't have to ignore you. All morning you kept trying to make eye contact with him and he had refused to meet your eyes. And the way in which he walked away when he saw you headed towards him right now fucking hurt.
The way he was treating you hurt. Never had you felt so little and unimportant to Azriel and although you had promised yourself you would be as cold and distant as him, your anger had other plans and you were not going to stand by this treatment, not from him.
Trying to catch up to his long strides you marched after him into the changing area
pushing the door open.
"Azriel" you said stopping a few feet away, his shirt was already off, back facing towards you. You ignored the tightness around your throat and the conflicting emotions rising within you as you tried to not stare at the sweat gleaming down his back, his wings in all their majesty.
His wings twitched while the rest of his body went still at the mention of his name. He didn't respond which caused a scoff to bubble out of you. You were in complete disbelief. This did not feel like your Azriel. This dynamic between you two was completely new.
"Are you really just going to ignore me?" You asked, anger coating your voice.
He remained quiet and took a deep breath. Internally he was a mess. He didn't want to say anything that would make things worse than he already had last night. He felt if he opened his mouth he would completely ruin everything and he was trying his hardest to not let that happen by remaining silent. He knew he was being unfair to you, but he had already hurt you last night and he felt unworthy of even being in the same room as you.
You however were not understanding that. All you could see was his cool mask of indifference.
"I'm just confused, Azriel. I don't understand what's happened. I believe what I asked for isn’t unreasonable, considering we've been doing this, whatever you want to call this, for over half a year. I don't understand your reaction."
You wanted to plead with him, beg him to turn to you to listen to you, to love you. You wanted to cry and have everything be alright. But you wouldn't. Instead you straightened yourself up and narrowed your eyes.
"Azriel, turn around." you said in a low voice.
Azriels fists tightened in response, you could see his knuckles turning white.
"Azriel. turn. around. Look at me, I'm trying to talk to you. This feels weird, this isn't us. " Your voice softened, exhaustion and pain taking over you now. "I want to talk through this."
Azriel turned around, your belly fluttering with hope. You were sure if you could just discuss this, everything would be okay. Your eyes met for a second and you thought you saw sadness in his eyes when he looked at you but you blinked and his walls were back up.
"I don't want to talk right now Y/N" he grumbled, dismissing your attempts at fixing the problem.
"Then when Az? When are we going to talk? Why can't we just work this out right now? Why does it have to be a thing? Just talk to me Az." Your breathing was getting more agitated with every word you spoke, his silence cutting deeply. Still, you carried on
"I’m sorry for the words I chose last night, for how it came out but… What did you mean last night? You are enough for me, I don’t ever want you to think that you can’t give me what I need. I know you can. You already give me everything I want. I don't see how telling our friends would change anything between us."
"It would change everything, don’t you see? It already has" he said, becoming just as irritated as you. He was over this conversation, he didn't want to have it right now, not when he still hadn't found the words to explain his feelings. Gods he hadn't even been able to tell you he loved you . He wanted to do that before having to tell everyone.
"How Az? How?" You almost shouted, your patience running out, you were ready to argue it out.
Suddenly the door opened, Cassian walking in muttering about forgetting something when he abruptly stopped, noticing the tension in the room. He could see both you and Azriel breathing heavily, your fists were clenched and Azriel's shadows were mostly covering him, swarming frantically. The way you both stood looked like you were engaged in an argument and he raised an eyebrow.
"Everything okay?" He asked. He looked at Azriel's face, set on a scowl, and then at yours, noticing the tears lining your eyes and your cheeks flushed pink. “What’s going on?” he tried again when he was met with silence.
Azriel held your gaze before muttering “Nothing” and winnowing away.
You and Cassian stood in the changing rooms staring at the spot Azriel had just stood in.
You blinked the tears that had welled up away trying to not let Cassian see but it was too late. He could see the state you were in and he knew he had just interrupted an argument between you and his brother. An oddity, given how close the two of you were. What could his brother have said to have you at the point of tears? Cassian started asking “What happe-” before you cut him off “I don’t want to talk about it Cass.” and then you winnowed away, going to your meeting with Rhys.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
In front of you stood your high lord and one of your best friends, Rhys. Immediately you wished you had winnowed somewhere else to compose yourself, Rhys could read everyone in the inner circle in a matter of seconds. There was no way he wouldn’t notice your current state. Your red rimmed eyes and your heaving breathing.
He took in your appearance for what felt like forever, but was really a matter of seconds, and raised his eyebrows in a questioning look.
You shook your head, letting him know you didn’t want to talk about it. He gave you a look that said he was sorry, but wasn’t going to let it go.
“Not only as your high lord, but as someone who cares very dearly for a friend, a friend that I consider family, you know I have to ask. What’s wrong?” he asked, going around his desk and leaning against it, arms crossed waiting for your answer.
You rolled your eyes “Really Rhys? You’re gonna pull the high lord card?”
He scoffed and shot you a smirk “Here I was thinking I was pulling the family card”
That made a small smile appear on your face. You knew Rhys was just worried and it wasn’t fair to take out your frustrations on him. If he showed up at your office in the same manner you would also ask.
“I’m sorry… just… feeling a little scattered. I didn’t mean to snap”
“My dear Y/N, you have been snapping at me since the day we met. I do not hold that against you. However, I will hold it against you if you keep things from me that are clearly disturbing you. I heard you missed training this week, I also heard you used your powers against Cass… and now you are showing up to our meeting, quite frankly, looking like a mess. So, what’s really been going on?”
You sighed and sat down across from him, head falling between your hands. “I can’t tell you”
At this Rhys stood a little straighter, eyebrows drawn in confusion. “You do realize one of my top spies telling me she can’t tell me something is cause for concern”
Your eyebrows rose in alarm “I don’t mean it like that Rhys, you know I tell you everything of importance. It’s just… it’s personal”
He sighed and went to sit next to you, placing an arm around you. “Alright… I won’t press you if you really don’t want to talk. Just know you can always come to me”
You leaned into his side and whispered “I know Rhys, thank you.”
He squeezed you into his size letting you rest there for a few minutes before proceeding with the meeting.
“As you know, we will be hosting a gala at the end of this week, it will be a chance to celebrate the alliances we have built after the war and for the courts to further strengthen relationships with one another. Eris is coming to stay with us for the next few days. Now that Beron’s rule is over, I have offered our courts help to Eris. I intend for the Autumn Court’s new High Lord to have as smooth a transition as possible, otherwise all our work to remove Beron was for nothing. Hopefully, in return, Eris will help us when it is time to change the ways of the Hewn City and fully be the Night Court we all dream of. Now, I need you to keep an eye on Eris. I have no reason to doubt his loyalties, but one can never be too careful. I have already told him you will be there to help with anything he needs.” said Rhys, concentrating on some documents on his desk.
“I have to babysit Eris?” you muttered, crossing your arms. You had learned to not hate the former heir, he had proved himself to the inner circle and he was often around, strategizing with Rhys and whatnot. He had asked for Mor’s forgiveness, and everything had for the most part been worked out. However, Azriel still despised Eris. The High Lord's attempt to right his wrong has done nothing to diminish Azriels’ distrust in him. Naturally, due to your proximity to the Spymaster, you had kept a professional distance from him. Never actually becoming friendly with Eris.
“If that’s what you wanna call it, yes.” Rhys looked at you with a glimmer in his eyes “But I like to think of it as giving you the honor of being an extension of me for the next couple of days” he said, shooting you a grin, knowing you would like the sound of that.
A laugh burst out of you, “Alright Rhys, you don’t have to butter me up. You know I’ll do it, shouldn’t be too bothersome. Eris hasn’t been a problem for some time” you drifted off “Although, I do I wonder how Feyre will react when I tell her I’m an extension of her husband” you joked, standing up and walking towards the door.
Rhys chuckled, muttering about the kind of trouble you would get him into.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Cassian felt weird about the interaction from earlier with you and Azriel. He was running the events of the past weeks in his head and he felt that there was something he was missing. He thought of your skipped practice, of your outburst during training, of Azriel’s mood at the debrief the other day and what he had just walked in on.
Clearly he hadn’t walked in on nothing, regardless of what Azriel said. Set on finding his brother, he wandered around the places Azriel usually frequented. He found him on his balcony, face in concentration, leaning his body over the railings, wings drooped, and shadows swarming around him in chaos. It had been a long time since he had seen his brother so out of sorts.
Cassian landed a few feet away from Azriel and approached him cautiously. Azriel looked at him from the corner of his eye and stood up straighter. “I want to be alone right now Cass.” Azriel said, trying to harden his voice to deter Cassian from trying, but Cassian knew his brother. He could hear the mask covering his turmoil.
Cassian sighed and went to stand next to Azriel. “What’s going on, brother?”
Azriel huffed and muttered “I said I wanted to be alone”
Cassian grinned at him “Since when do I follow orders from you?”
Azriel rolled his eyes but didn’t try to argue with Cassian, he knew there was no point. The general wouldn’t be leaving yet.
At Azriel’s silence, he continued. “Brother, we have been there for each other our entire lives. I am not going to leave you alone when I can so clearly see something plagues your mind.”
Azriel debated for a second telling Cassian what was wrong, he wanted to ask how Cassian navigated his relationship with Nesta. How he was able to put aside the fears and worries of things going wrong, of Nesta getting hurt because of him, but he reminded himself that Nesta was Cassian's mate. The bond tethered them to one another, and the risk of things not working out was significantly less, given that the Mother had decided they were meant for each other. No matter how many times he had prayed to the mother, you weren't his mate. He didn’t have that same level of assurance, Cassian wouldn't understand.
“I’m fine Cass, just thinking about work” Azriel said. He figured that excuse would satisfy Cassian, it wouldn’t be the first time work consumed him and had such an effect on him.
Cassian narrowed his eyes at Azriel before asking “Is that what you and Y/N were arguing about? Work?” his tone letting Azriel know that he didn’t fully buy it. At the mention of your name Azriel’s shadows became agitated again, the Shadowsinger having to reign them in from becoming a frenzied mess. He cooled his expression, hoping Cassian hadn’t caught any change in him.
“We weren’t arguing” Azriel stated, looking at Cassian in the eyes briefly before setting them back on the horizon.
Cassian scoffed “Az she was literally about to cry. Y/N always tears up during arguments. I heard some arguing before walking in, that’s why I walked in. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you two argue. What happened?”
Azriel’s jaw tensed. His chest hurt at the thought of you crying. At the thought of him making you cry. He felt that he was only making things worse. He had to fix things with you, he just needed to figure out how.
Azriel ignored Cassian and turned to walk away “I have some work to catch up on. I’ll see you tonight at dinner” he said to Cassian before winnowing away.
Cassian was left standing there wondering what the hell was going on between you and his brother.

Adapting Part 3
Fandom: Shadowhunters
Character/s Included: Alec, Magnus, Reader, Raphael, jace, Clary, Simon, Izzy
Word Count: 840
Series: Adapting
Part 1 // Part 2 // Part 3 // Part 4
A/N: Triggering Acts are in the next few chapter (SA)
Hearing Raphael yell Magnus raced to the room with Alec trailing behind after being woken up by Magnus getting out of bed as fast as he could. While racing down the hallway Magnus nearly tripped multiple times before reaching the doorway out of breath. Alec rubbed Magnus’ back while Magnus tried to regain his breath. When Magnus and Alec looked at Raphael, Raphael looked at you.
“She won’t talk to me, she just grabbed that picture in her hands and pointed to you both in it to make me call out to you” Raphael said getting up and leaving the room.
“Y/N?” Alec whispered once he and Magnus sat down on either side of her “Are you okay?”
All you could was shake your head and move the blanket off you. Magnus and Alec looked very confused at you. “What happened?” Magnus asked sounding very concerned. You looked at the door waiting for it to close which Magnus did with his magic before you turned your attention back to the two men in front of you.
“When the demons attacked last night we were majorly out numbered. Although we were close to each other during it they managed to separate me from him.” You looked at your hands “They were all little demons we were fighting but once they separated me from him they had pretty much pushed me around a block away from him.” You looked back up at them with tears in your eyes, they grab your hands tightly.
“It’s okay Y/N/N. You’re not alone. You can tell as anything you know that” Alec said.
“They little demons kept their distance but still surrounded me when a much larger demon came towards me. It did things to me; I killed it before heading back to Raphael.” You were now crying and shaking in fear.
Magnus looked up at Alec “Call your mother tell her we need the infirmary cleared and for no one to enter there without getting authority from me. Then call your sister tell her we need an ultrasound machine and to not tell anyone we need it” Magnus tell Alec before holding you tightly and watching Alec leave before yelling “Tell Raphael I’ll create a portal for him to get back to the Hotel”
When Magnus left you got changed into something much looser and headed out just as Raphael walked through the portal to the hotel. You walked over to Alec holding his waist tightly as if you were holding on for dear life. “Izzy says that everyone is out of the infirmary and everything is set up for us when we get there” Alec told Magnus.
Magnus created another portal for you three to get into the infirmary. You let go of Alec before walking through to Isabelle and hugging her tightly. You let go of her and headed to the bed set up. As Alec walked through Izzy started to yell at Alec, “You didn’t say Y/N was the patient. I thought it was just someone you found”
“Iz you never asked who the patient was now please can we get this over with so we don’t raise too much suspicion on what’s happening in here” Alec said before heading towards you with Magnus and Izzy following.
Once the ultrasound was done you pointed at Izzy and moved you finger for her to come towards you and shooing the boys out. Izzy leant down and you whispered in her ear, “Jace and tell him to lock the door once he’s in” She nods at you before leaving.
You watch Jace walked in looking like a mess but smiled at you after he locked the door. You moved over in your bed so there was space for Jace to lay next to you. Once laying down you placed your head on his chest. He stroked your hair like he use to when you were sick. “You okay?” He asked finally.
You looked him in the eyes “If you call being pregnant with half demon half shadowhunter babies okay then yes im ok”
He held you tighter and whispered “You having two children, shadowhunting warlocks” He laughed, “Magnus is going to be an adoptive grandfather. That explains why he’s looked so scared when I walked past him to get here.”
“If the other shadowhunters here find out they will look at me like I’m a failure” You started to cry.
“No one else will find out just me, Izzy, Alec and Magnus. Magnus will hide you till the babies are born and then you may come back but if you don’t me, Iz and Alec will visit and if I have to and the babies warlock marks are similar to Magnus’ and can be hidden I will claim them as my children okay? Even if they aren’t and we aren’t together we can do this okay? Together” He smiles at you kissing your head lightly.
“And what if the clave asks us to you know?” you whisper
“We’ll get to it when it comes”

He’s Lost - Bakugou Katsuki - Part 3
Bakugou x f!reader
Warnings: fluff, sexual mentions, smut, 18+, daddy kink, fingering (fisting?), f!receiving, alcohol, cursing, LONG WRITING PIECE, Bakusquad a teensy wheensy bit ooc, BAKUGOU BEING A BIG ASS SIMP
BAKUGOU’S MASTERLIST
Summary: After the classroom moment, Katsuki’s been doing everything he can to get you back. You’ve both come to terms as friends who are mutually pining for one another, but how long will it take to finally be found by one another?
A/N: Y’all I just have to keep saying thank you to all of you. The love and support is incredible and I never expected my one shot to be so likeable. Anyways, this piece is what will bring the whole story together. Just HELLA fluff. Hope you enjoy!
A/N: If you guys are curious as to what I put for Y/N’s quirk, I’ve titled it Phoenix. She has all the abilities of a Phoenix, like fire powers, regeneration, and flight ability with beautiful wings of fire that can come out on command. Honestly, her quirk isn’t really a big deal in the story but if you wanted to know, there you go.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
“YOU DID WHAT?!”
“I fucked her in the classroom,” Bakugou so calmly said while taking a sip from his water bottle.
Kirishima felt like he was gonna faint. He told his friend to talk to her so they could make up. He didn’t expect him to dick her down.
“Wow Kacchan, didn’t know you were an exhibitionist,” The electric blonde said while nudging Bakugou in the arm with his elbow.
“I’m not......well-“
“Katsuki” Kirishima said with a warning tone because he did NOT want to hear about his friend’s kinks.
“Right. Anyway, it was fine. No one was there...actually why weren’t you guys there? We all had class you idiots.” Bakugou asked.
“Mr. Aizawa told us the day before that we were going to meet up in gym gamma for an all day training sesh. So we were all shocked when one of our best fighters didn’t show.” Kirishima explained.
“Well nobody told me we were having an all day session.” Bakugou complained.
The group then raised their phones showing the texts sent to the group chat the boys of the Bakusquad shared.
8:47 a.m.
🦈 : Bakugou, tmr is all day training in the gym. Make sure you’re there
11:21 a.m.
🕷: You gonna be in the gym wit us tmrw Bakugou?
2:10 a.m.
⚡️: Sooo we’ll see u in the gym tmr Kacchan?
After some silence and Bakugou’s soft “oh,” Bakugou asked another question. “Well why wasnt Y/N there then?”
“Just like you, the girl wasn’t in class the day before so she didn’t know. She spent the day interning with Hawks.” Sero stated while taking a break from his bag of chips.
‘Hawks huh? Guess it made sense. You both had bird-like quirks, so you guys go well together’ The blonde thought to himself.
“But enough of why you weren’t there, tell us what happened with Y/N,” Sero added on.
“The hell? Why are you so invested in how I fucked her?” Bakugou said with attitude.
“Not that man,” Kirishima intervened, “we wanna know what happened after.”
“We also wanna know which desk you fucked on so we could avoid the cum splatter.” Kaminari said, earning a wack to the back of his head from Sero.
“Well I thought we were gonna make up and get back together,” Bakugou started and the trio of boys stared right at him as if he was going to open some buried treasure.
“But I guess she’s not ready for the relationship again. At least not yet. She said she wanted some time and then she’ll come back to me. All I gotta do is wait.” Bakugou said while getting comfortable in his spot on the common room couch.
“Says who?” Kaminari added.
“ ‘scuse me?” Bakugou asked.
“Who says all you gotta do is wait?” Bakugou looked at his idiotic friend.
“She did, Dunce Face.”
“Well you could wait for her, but if I was you, I’d still treat her like my girlfriend.” The electric blonde stated.
“Huh?” The entire group asked.
“Bakugou look. Give Y/N the time she wants, but you could still treat her like your girlfriend. It’ll remind her of the times you had and it’l-“
“I’m gonna stop you right there Kaminari.”
As the group turned towards the doorway, they saw Y/N. She seemed to have gotten back from some extra training considering she was still wearing gym attire and her duffel bag was still on her shoulder.
“Hey Y/N, just got back from the gym?” Kirishima kindly started up a conversation with the girl.
“Yeah. Had to take a shower there too to save some time. I’m heading back out to go on a late night patrol with Hawks after I drop off my bag, but I can spend 2 minutes to explain something to you, dorks.” You started walking towards the group, more specifically behind Bakugou’s seat.
“I’m gonna make this real simple. Katsuki and I don’t need a grand plan to get back together. We just need some time,” when you finally made it behind Bakugou, you gently wrapped your arms around Katsuki’s neck area, “besides, Suki knows I’ll always come back to him. He’s my one and only after all, right?” You said the last part while looking at Bakugou.
“Right.” Katsuki proudly replied.
You leaned in to give him a little hug from behind and pecked his cheek before walking off to your room.
Katsuki couldn’t help but smile and watch as you walked away. He knew you guys would end up back together. All he has to do is wait. But his moment was ruined by a certain dunce face.
“Damn dude, what the fuck kinda dick did you give her to get her to act like that with you?” He shockingly asked.
“SHUT UP!” Bakugou screamed as his two other friends laughed.
——————————————————————————
Ever since, Bakugou and You grew closer and closer. To others, it looked like exes who stuck to being friends. Best friends, if anything. Y’all played together as best friends, fought and bickered like best friends and looked out for each other and loved one another like best friends. But in reality, you and Bakugou were just falling for each other even more day after day. Yes, it was clear to you both that you were already in love with each other, but damn y’all didn’t know love could grow so strong.
Bakugou stuck to his word though. He was doing whatever it took to get you back, and yeah. Maybe he took a little bit of Kaminari’s advice and continued to treat you as his girlfriend. The only difference was that he didn’t and couldn’t claim you so it kinda hurt him but he was ok because he knows what’ll happen in the end.
So now we have this Bakugou who’s at your every beck and call, even when you don’t call. Thirsty in the middle of class? Bakugou’s got your favorite drink with him on standby. Craving something special? Bakugou will learn how to make it for you. Tired after a hard day’s work? The angry Pomeranian was there to carry you back to the dorms. What a simp.
——————————————————————————
*RIINNNGGGGGG*
And there goes the bell for class. As students walked into their respective rooms, the students of 1-A notice the two entering.
“And here comes Bakugou holding the door for his lady,” Kaminari spoke aloud.
“Hey man, they’re not dating, remember?” Sero reminded him.
“Yet. That’s the exciting part. 2 lovers, patiently waiting for each other. And Bakugou being so willing to drop everything just for Y/N, and Y/N willing to tussle through challenges for Bakugou. Ohh it’s so romantic!!” Mina said with a squeal and excitement.
“Bakubro really doesn’t want anyone else but her....they’re gonna get through this!” Kirishima hopefully said. “If they don’t I’ll beat his ass myself after all the shit I went through for this relationship. You know, THE RELATIONSHIP IM NOT EVEN IN!” He said loud enough for Bakugou to hear.
“Those idiots,” Bakugou growled. “CANT A GUY JUST SPEND SOME TIME WITH HIS GIRL WITHOUT SOME CRACKHEADS WHISPERING ABOUT US?!” He yelled at the group. But with that last comment, you raised your brow.
“So I’m your girl, huh?” You said with a sly demeanor.
This caused Katsuki to blush like crazy. “You know what I meant you little dumbass!”
“Yeah, I’m a dumbass. But apparently I’m your dumbass.” Your snide remarks were beginning to drive Katsuki crazy.
“Ok, that’s it!” With that, Bakugou grabbed your arm and dragged you away from the classroom before Mr. Aizawa came. As the 2 left the room, the boys of the Bakusquad knew exactly what was about to happen.
“Annnddd they’re they go. Off to a place of sweat and ecstasy.” Kaminari sighed.
Ever since that time in the classroom, you and Bakugou have had sneaky links here and there for the past few weeks. A little make out session in the kitchen, a little grinding in the common area, some receiving in many different places. However you were both cautious and made sure it never went beyond that. No vaginal penetration with a penis!
Though you both said you weren’t dating yet, it was obvious where you both would end up.
“What do you mean?” Mina asked.
“It’s nothing you have to worry about, just let them do them.” Kirishima explained.
Fortunately, only the Bakusquad boys were aware of these secret meetings. Once Bakugou told them of the classroom sex, they could tell whenever you two were interested in doing the deed with one another. They also steered clear from Bakugou’s desk. When they found out you both had gone to town on it, they made sure to never go near it unless they knew Bakugou cleaned it up thoroughly.
——————————————————————————
“Mm...Suki..” you breathed out in between the heated kiss.
Here we are in the storage closet. Y/N seated on top of a small standing shelf with Katsuki standing over her and his fist deep inside her.
Katsuki was in the process of marking your exposed breast and enjoying the feeling of your soft walls around his hand. He couldn’t help but speed up his movements.
“P-please....slow down-“ you were cut off by your own moan and cry of pleasure as his fist hit a sensitive area.
“Oh c’mon, you know you love it. You also know you shouldn’t have given all that sass. You knew exactly where it would lead ya,” he spoke as he continued to bite and suck at your nipples. “But I bet you wanted this, didn’t you. You little slut.”
His fist sped up even more and went deeper than before earning loud cries to leave your mouth.
“Ahh...fuck! Y-yes! I wanted this so bad...ohh shit Suki!” You cried out. You felt the coil in your stomach tighten and Katsuki knew what was coming right from the look on your face. He quickly pulled his fist out and dropped his head down to meet your glistening cunt, and continued to finish you off.
“Shit....you taste so sweet.” Katsuki couldnt help but eat you out as if you were his last meal. He groaned as your hands went to tug at his hair to push him in deeper. As he stuck his tongue out to enter inside you, your hips moved on their own and began to grind against his face.
“Yes...yess oh my god..just like that Suki please,”
Katsuki was desperate for more and so his hand went to your clit. He viciously rubbed at it until your legs began to shake.
“F-FUCK!... oh yess...ah!” You let out.
“Let me taste you....come inside my mouth like a good girl and let daddy taste you.” Katsuki demanded.
And you did just that. You released the white honey all on his tongue and Katsuki lapped at every drop, sucking you dry. As he finished his meal he kissed your cunt and continued to kiss you up your body from you stomach to your chest to your neck until he reached your lips. He gave you a passionate kiss, all tongue and love, and you could taste yourself. He was right. You were sweet.
——————————————————————————
During lunch, the Bakusquad, including Y/N, all ate together and had friendly conversations and arguments as usual.
“Man that steak hit the spot!” Kirishima exclaimed with a breath of satisfaction.
“I bet your already full too, huh Kacchan. Bet you already had your fill of Y/-“
*WHACK*
As the tray slowly slid off of Denki’s face after so rudely being thrown at him (curtousy of Sero) he was revealed to an angry Kacchan.
“Shut up dunce face!” Bakugou yelled.
“You’re one to talk Suki. If anyone should shut up, it should be the one with the booming voice.” You said as you ate your udon noodles.
“ME?!?” Bakugou exclaimed.
“Yes you ya dummy!” You retorted.
“You wanna go shitty woman?!?” Bakugou said while standing up now.
“Bring it on Blasty! I’ll take you on any day!” You replied while standing on top of your chair to beat his height.
‘Typical,’ the Bakusquad thought.
You guys would go from lovers to enemies in a split second with a besties vibe somewhere in between. The fun and teasing bickering went on like this for awhile and has been happening for awhile too. But at the end of the day, there was no real beef between you two of course. Just a mutual pining that involved some attitude.
“Man, you guys have so much energy. Cant you guys tone it down, we’re pretty sure you shouldn’t be so energized after you both just fu-“
*WHACK*
Sero was shut up with a tray (revenge from Denki) before he could finish his sentence and expose the soon to be lovers’s dirty secrets.
“I KNOW!” Mina popped up. “How about a beach day?” The pink alien girl suggested.
“Huh?” The entire group said while Y/N and Bakugou sat down again.
“A beach day! We all have pent up energy and some of us wanna relax so why not get everything out at the beach? Oou! And let’s go at night, it’ll be way cooler and so much more fun. Plus, that’s the best time for us to sneak out!” Pinkie explained.
“The hell do you mean sneak out dumbass? It’s a Friday, if we wanna go the beach, we can just go on Saturday, tomorrow.” Bakugou said.
“Jeez you moron, wheres the fun in that. Look this may seem a little wild since we’re hero trainees and all but how about we take a car to get to the beach?” Mina proposed.
“Mina, we’re under 18. We can’t drive.” Kirishima said.
“Legally. But Bakugou here knows how to drive! Remember that one time Mr. Aizawa made him pull the travel bus around the corner because he was too tired to bring it himself?” The alien girl reminded the group.
“Not only that, but Denki’s parents are outta town!” The girl added on.
“Oh yeah! We could totally take my Dad’s car! There’s definitely enough room in there!” Kaminari said.
The group was now starting to get excited. Except for one blonde of course.
“No way. Like you said Pinkie, we’re hero trainees. We can’t risk ruining ours or UA’s reputation just for some trip to the beach.” Bakugou said while downing his rice bowl.
“Aww c’mon man!”
“Whaaat but pleaseee!”
“Seriously dude?”
“Awwww :(“
The group all said in unison. But Bakugou wasn’t cracking. He wasn’t going to risk his career as a future pro just for a quick trip to some sand and sea.
That is until he felt a tugging on his sleeve. When he looked to his left he saw Y/N holding onto his sleeve with a pout and puppy dog eyes. His heart was about to blow.
“Please Suki?” You whined.
You basically embodied the “🥺” emoji. Bakugou had to turn away so he could deny your request.
“Mm mm” he said while staring out the window next to the table.
You let out a huff of frustration while looking towards your group of friends that were staring at you in desperation. You guys were going to get that beach day.
So you pulled onto Bakugou’s arm and pulled his side into your soft pillowy breast. You reached up and whispered into his ear to make sure no would could hear your next words. With a seductive voice, you spoke.
“Please daddy?”
——————————————————————————
And now here we are. The Bakusquad currently on a road trip to the beach at 9:45 p.m. Y/N riding shotgun, Mina and Kirishima in the seats behind you, Kaminari and Sero in the third row right infront of the trunk, and Bakugou behind the wheel. He was just thankful that there was almost nobody driving around here or else they would’ve noticed this young group of teens driving late at night. He was also very thankful that during lunch yesterday, nobody noticed his raging boner after Y/N whispered in his ear.
“Oh my gosh!! We’re almost there!” Mina squealed from behind.
Although it was almost 10, the weather was still really warm so it would be a fun night. Just the moon, the stars, the sand and sea, and your best friends. Perfection.
“Oh! Suki, you missed the turn for the shortcut.” You pointed out.
“No I didn’t dumbass, we’re taking another shortcut.” Bakugou replied.
“Umm, says who exactly?” You retorted.
“The one driving this damn car, now settle your fine ass down before I kiss you.” Bakubitch replied with.
“Ok, just because you add a little flirt and flare to your reply doesn’t mean your in the right.” You stated.
“Oh but I think it does.” Bakugou came back with.
“Oh! Okay Bakubitch, I don’t know who you think you’re getting smart with-“
“I know exactly who I’m getting smart with, teddy bear.” Katsuki said with a smirk on his face.
“.....Fight me. Fight me right now.” You deadpanned while obviously joking.
“I’ll beat your ass any day of the week you shitty woman-“
“Except you’ll LOSE Bakubitch.” You added.
“You wanna fight that bad, huh shitty woman?!” Bakugou now started yelling in a very Bakugou manner.
“I do! I really do Katsuki! Bring it on Explosion boy!” You said
As you and Bakugou started going at it with your words in the car, the squad was starting to get a little tired of this endless pining. JUST DATE EACH OTHER ALREADY. Mina finally snapped.
“OKAY YOU KNOW WHAT?.....I’m just gonna say it.” Mina started with.
‘Huh’ You looked behind you while Bakugou took glances from time to time in his mirror to see Mina as she spoke.
“Why don’t you cut the horse shit, and get to the part where you admit your feelings for each other?” She added on.
“WHAT?!”
“Excuse me?”
“Oh spare me, spare me, spare me!” Mina went on with. Then, Kirishima joined in.
“Yes yes Y/N, he’s a brute, I know-“
“Hey!” Bakugou interrupted but Kirishima just continued.
“He probably reminds you of a bad relationship and gosh you’d like a real nice man to settle down with,” he added on.
“But admit it! You’re real curious to know what he’s like in the sack nowadays!” Kaminari joined in.
“You idiots are dead meat,” Bakugou said.
“And you! HA!” Mina began to speak. “Well you’re just a big man baby who’d rather act tough then show his true feelings because the last time you opened your heart, you got hurt.....OWIE” Mina said in a baby voice.
“And now,” Sero began, “rather than admit these feelings, you’re dancing around one another with this mind numbing and frankly boorish mating ritual.”
Mina spoke once more.
“So PLEASE, for our sake, either quit your bickering, or PULL OVER, TEAR OFF THOSE CLOTHES, AND GET IT OVER WITH ALREADY!!!”
(Silence)
“Aye, I said what I said.” Mina concluded with her hands up at her side in defense.
As Bakugou and Y/N blushed ferociously, the squad behind them finally settled until Bakugou sped up, swerved the car and hit the brakes.....he was parking.
“Oh look, we’re here.” He said.
As he turned around to look at the group, he saw his friends all mixed up and thrown around the van.
“You guys good?” Y/N asked as she turned around in worry.
“Ugghhhhhh.” Her friends replied, clearly a little bruised.
“Alright then, let’s get going!” Y/N said with a sweet smile and exited the car.
——————————————————————————
After everyone had changed into their swim suits, everyone began setting up. The girls stayed behind with Denki to help set up the towels and seats and bring out the coolers, food, and tables. Bakugou, Kirishima, and Sero went out to collect firewood for the bond fire they were gonna make.
As you looked around the beach, you were glad that nobody was around. You guys could be as loud as you wanted, do what you wanted, and just have an awesome night. And the fact that this was a wild beach meant that there was so much more to do. You guys could go cliff diving, mountain climbing, or forest roaming. No lifeguards to stop you.
As the guys came back with fire wood, Mina and Denki pulled out the cooler.
“Hey guys~, guess what we have!” Mina said.
The group watched as Denki pulled out various beers, wine coolers, and a bottle of Hennessy and shot cups.
“Alcohol?” Kirishima asked, “where’d you guys get that.”
“We grabbed it outta my garage fridge. My family likes to turn up a lot so we also got some spares hanging around,” Kaminari explained.
You guys weren’t first time drinkers. You were high schoolers and you’ve been to parties so of course you guys have already had your first taste of alcohol. Hell, even Bakugou had some before. What can he say, he couldn’t help himself after he saw his friends seem to be enjoying themselves a little too much after getting drunk the first time.
As you started the fire with your quirk, everyone else began to get comfy near the blazing flame. Denki was the last to sit since he went to grab his acoustic guitar to play some tunes. When he finally sat down he began to sing a song.
“Let’s sit around the campfire and sing our campfire song! Our C-A-M-P—“
“NO!” The group all yelled.
“Oh alright!” The electric blonde huffed.
The group all laughed and Kaminari then began to play a chill melody on the instrument. The group was happy, laughing, enjoying themselves and having so much fun...well one of them did have something on their mind but nonetheless still enjoying themselves.
Faces were being stuffed with delicious food, alcohol was being passed around, rounds of shots were being downed like water, and everyone was having a good time. A little game of truth or dare started up and ended after Kaminari and Kirishima both threw up in separate bushes after being dared to kiss each other by Mina.
“Never again,” Kaminari said.
“Yeah I’m good with never having to get kisses from my bro again.” Kirishima sighed.
“Oh whatever you big wussies. It was a fun game while it lasted.”
Everyone laughed in agreement.
“Alright well,” Sero spoke, “we all came to the beach, why don’t we get to the main event. I’m gonna go for swim, you guys in?”
As everyone agreed they all started walking to the water. Well except for two people. As Y/N was walking to the shoreline, a hand stopped her as it grabbed onto her arm.
“You idiots go, me and Y/N are gonna join you later.” Bakugou said to the group and they all said their ok’s and went in. “You, come with me.”
As you and Bakugou walked back to the car, he asked you a question.
“So..you’re not drunk are you?” He asked precautiously.
“Just a little tipsy but I’m still in control. Still aware of everything, so no. I’m not drunk.” You answered.
“Ok cool.” He said as he got into the driver’s seat. Once you finally got in and buckled up, he drove off. In the middle of the drive, you asked him a question this time.
“Hey Suki? Where are we going?”
“I found a special place while I was looking for wood. I wanna show you.” He simply stated.
As he continued to drive off to wherever you rested your hand on the center between you and Bakugou and let your face sit in your right palm as you stared out the window. The songs playing throughout the car gave it a loving and chill vibe. You enjoyed the comfortable silence.
As you continued to stare off, you felt Bakugou’s hand intertwine with yours. You looked back and saw he was blushing while holding onto the steering wheel and staring at the road. Man, he was so hot. In nothing but his swimming trunks as he leaned into his chair and drove off. His defined abs and chiseled chest was definitely eye candy. His giant veiny hand gripped the wheel and his jaw was so sharp as he turned and looked around for other drivers. Yeah, Bakugou was definitely one of those people that looked attractive as hell when they began to drive. You looked down at your hands and squeezed his. You were really enjoying this car ride.
When the car came to a stop, you finally noticed how you were in the middle of the forest.
“Where are we Suki?” You asked him.
As he grabbed your hand he spoke, “just follow me teddy bear.”
You guys walked for what felt like a good thirty minutes until you came across.....a cave?
“I know it doesn’t seem like much but wait until you see the inside.” Bakugou said. As you walked in, you finally realized where he took you. A gorgeous crystal cave. Its colors were shining and its gems were sparkling. All the walls were covered except for the top where there seemed to be an opening. It was letting all the moonlight enter the cave causing the crystals to sparkle even more, including the giant pool of water at the center of the cave.
“Suki it’s beautiful,” you said in awe.
“Yeah, knew you’d like it,” He began.
You both sat down at the edge of the pool just dipping your legs in and enjoying each other’s company.
“Y/N.” Bakugou said.
“What’s up Suki?” You asked.
“I can’t help but keep thinking back to what Mina and the others said in the car.” He admitted.
“What? About pulling over and tearing off each other’s clothes?” You chuckled.
“No. About our feelings for each other.” Bakugou said as he just stared at the pool.
“Oh. That.” You calmly said with a hidden smile and soft blush.
Bakugou grabbed onto your hand before speaking again.
“Y/N I really, really, really, really, really love you....a lot. And I’m so sorry for everything I said and did,” Bakugou started.
“Suki....” you softly said while looking at him. You noticed he was staring down at your arm where your now tiny burn mark was. A scar that won’t be forgotten and a memory that was permanently burned into your skin. Literally.
You saw how Bakugou cringed at the sight of it.
“I am so, so sorry for everything. I don’t even know what I could say that could even make up for what I did. Every night memories of what happened keep coming back to me and I’m still in complete shock that I could even do that. To you of all people! The love of my life....I’m just really glad that you said you’d come back to me and that you gave me another chance to get close with you again. I know I said I would wait for you for as long as it takes but I don’t wanna wait anymor-“ Bakugou was cut off as you raised his head to give him a deep kiss. As he kissed you back, Bakugou put everything he couldn’t say as words into that kiss, hoping you’d understand.
When you finally pulled away, you leaned your forehead onto his while staring into his ruby eyes.
“I don’t want to wait anymore either, Suki.”
With that, Bakugou gave you the biggest smile you’ve ever seen. He pulled you in for another kiss and a tight hug.
“So....you’re mine again?” He asked.
“I was always yours Suki. You’re my one and only after all, right?” You teased.
“Right.” He proudly stated. Katsuki Bakugou finally got his girl back. He finally got his love of his life and his teddy bear. His world felt like it came back together again and he no longer felt lost.
After you both spent more time in the cave, exploring, finding all the gems, and enjoying your renewed and fixed love, you and Bakugou found yourselves back in the same spots you were sitting in when you first arrived.
With his eyes closed, chin resting on your head, and an arm wrapped around your waist, with you cuddled into his side and leaned onto his chest, you had a realization.
“Oh hey, Suki.” You said.
“What’s up teddy bear?” He asked with his eyes still closed.
“We never got to go swimming” you said with a pout.
As he opened one eye to look at you, he noticed your adorable pout and the simp in him came out along side with the devil.
“Alright then princess, let’s go for a swim. We have this crystal pool all to ourselves so why not?”
As you gleamed with excitement, you excitingly got up to jump into the water but before you could, Katsuki stopped you.
“Not so fast princess. Our little game of touch and tease is over now since your mine again. I wanna make up for lost time,” he said with a smirk.
“So you’re saying...?” Y/N asked confused.
“We’re going skinny dipping.”
At first it shocked you but then again, this is Katsuki we’re talking about. So you played his little game.
“Maybe your game of touch and tease is over but mine is still running.” You said with a smirk as you walk towards him. You placed your hand on his toned abs as you began speaking again.
“You wanna go skinny dipping Katsuki?” You then slowly went up to whisper in his ear.
“Then let’s get in daddy.”
As you walked away from him you started to undress yourself in a seductive manner. You started with your bikini top, pulled on the string to untie it and tossed it to the side. As you stepped to the pools edge, you did the same to your bikini bottoms and looked over at Katsuki. You didn’t fully face him as you spoke, but as you were holding up your chest pretending to cover yourself up, you showed just enough cleavage to get him riled up.
“You coming or not?” You teasingly asked before you stepped into the water letting its surprisingly warm temperature surrounded you. You had an idea and used your quirk to turn the pool into a hot spring. As the steam surrounded you, a blush from the heat began to show on your face and Bakugou couldnt hide his hard on inside his thin trunks. He undressed himself and entered the now spring.
A/N: YALL I DIDNT REALIZE HOW LONG THIS WAS SO THERE WILL BE A PART 4 COMING OUT RIGHT AFTER THIS ONE. I LITERALLY CANT TYPE ANY MORE SO STAY TUNED!!!

Master list
Y/n watched the boys try there food. They're faces lighting up as the room became silent, people busy digging into there food.
Y/n ate his own, his hand on Echo's thigh under the table, Echo's leg touching Y/n's.
"Ma'm this is way way! Better than rations!" Wrecker cheered.
"Im glad you like it so much, so tell me boys. What brought you over here?" Margie asked.
Hunter swallowed his food, "well we wanted to meet Echo's boyfriend Ma'm, we had no idea they had been dating for so long."
It was lucky for the group that talked they stayed together, near the head of the table where Margie sat, a small kid or two down from her.
"Echo's been nothing but a delight. To both my son and my family." Margie praised, "he's a good kid, Im assuming he gets it from his older brothers?"
"Oh...uh." Hunter spoke.
"He's older than us." Crosshair responded for the group.
"Oh?" She smiled, "you learn something new every day."
She looked at Y/n who nodded and smiled, "Yep."
"So where are you boys staying?" She asked.
Oh shit. Was the only thing Echo could think of. His brothers? Staying here?
"Oh we have our own place." Tech responded, "We live in a building complex called the Marauder."
Well that was a lie.
"Wait. Isn't that the name-" Y/n was cut off when Hunter kicked him.
"Ow.."
"Sorry. Foot must've slipped." Hunter responded his head slightly jolting towards the side, Echo was lost in his food, eating small spoon fulls, he was listening inteny even though he tried to cover his easedropping up.
"Oh! Yeah!" Y/n chuckled, Echo's frame slightly picking up.
"Oh. Nice place then?" Margie spoke.
"Oh..uh yeah. Decent..just a bit cramped but we don't mine." Hunter told, "we do alot of delivering off world too, so we work a decent amount...Echo! Echo here works the hardest. He may not be the strongest but he sure knows how to uh-"
"Pack a crate! And log the ports data. He's also a skilled mechanic!" Wrecker joined in.
What were they doing? Fake Prasing him? Why?
She smiled, "You boys seem like you like your jobs."
The boy's nodded, Y/n watched as Tech, Hunter and Wrecker hyped up Echo. The boy's trying to support Echo, "and you? Crosshair was it?"
Crosshair stopped from putting a spoonful in his mouth, "Oh. I.-" he looked at Echo infront of him, "I have a long way to go, a lot to learn."
"The youngest then?" She questioned.
"Yeah..." Crosshair responded bringing the food to his mouth.
"That's a sweet little bussniess you all have then," she congratulated, "We'd have to work with you one day, we have a business of our own."
"What's the bussniess if I may ask?" Tech questioned.
"Well our main bussniess is a food bussniess, you know selling buying, producing, but recently we've started a non-profit organization for battle droids."
"For battle droids? Clankers?" Wrecker asked.
"Thats what them clone boys call them," She smiled, "we basically rehab them, and send them back into the world, most as servants, translators. Small things."
"That's uh well..."
"I know I know. But here we believe that everything stands a chance." She contuined, "Echo has helped us alot on efficent repairs."
Echo nodded as he put a spoonful in his mouth.
"We have one that takes care of the animals in the small barn." Margie told, "Y/n! Have you showed them the animals dear?"
"No ma. This is only the second room they been in." Y/n informed.
"How dare you not give them a tour!" His mother spoke fake harshly, Y/n chuckling his mom soon following after.
"Oh mommy dearest I ask your humble apologies even though I don't deserve it. I suppose I'll sleep outside in the barn."
The two laughed as they smiled at one another.
"I'll show them around afterwords. Prepaired for your world to be rocked." He told the boys infront of him.
"Well I welcome you to the family boys. Its always a pleasure to have another few join the bunch!" She cheered.
"Thank you." Hunter spoke.
She smiled for a final time return to her food as did the others, small talk. Kids started asking to be excused, when excused they took there dishes and walked into the kitchen to clean there dishes and put them on the drying racks.
Echo finished before Y/n asking to be excused he got up with his dishes and went to clean them. Wrecker asked next, he being excused as he grabbed his own things and left.
Echo was along cleaning his dishes, his plate flat in the sink as he scrubbed the plate with one hand.
"Wanna hand?"
Echo turned his head, "oh. No. Im good."
Echo turned back towards his plates.
"Echo. Im. Im sorry." Wrecker apologized, "he's better than any lady you could date."
"Oh. Uh." Echo spoke, "thanks..."
"I didn't mean to hurt your feelings." Wrecker told him.
Echo frowned, "I. I know Wrecker. I shouldn't of yelled at you."
"We've should of waited for you to explain."
Putting his dishes on the drying rack he turned to Wrecker who stood next to him, Wrecker's dishes sat on the counter patiently waiting for his turn.
"It's. Okay." Echo responded, "I, I forgive you, at the end of the day. I'm the only one dating him. Right?"
Wrecker smiled, "So. We're okay?"
Echo nodded, quickly being picked up in a hug as he chuckled, patting Wrecker's shoulder.
"Now do your dishes before Y/n's mom cuts your head off." Echo joked waving smally to him.
Echo walked back out, going down the hall and too the living room, the room filled with silence as he collected the cups from eariler.
Bent over setting all the cups down accordingly there was a whistle, a soft one, not loud enough for anyone to hear if they weren't in the room.
"Would you look at that ass." Y/n spoke, Echo standing straight as he turned around, "aren't you a gifted fellow?"
Echo chuckled, "You should be careful what you say in here."
It was Y/n's turn to chuckle.
"Why's that?"
"Why do you think?" Echo questioned as he watched Y/n walk forward, grabbing his hips and pulling Echo closer.
"All I do is tell the truth," Y/n smiled.
Echo's arms drapped on Y/n's shoulder's, Y/n holding his hips.
"Now this is something we shouldn't be doing in here." Y/n teased.
Echo smiled, "One kiss never hurt anyone?"
"Oh?"
Y/n smiled, leaning down kissing Echo. His hand running through Y/n's hair, Y/n pulled away from Echo, foreheads resting on one another.
"I love you." Y/n told him.
"I love you too." Echo smiled.
Y/n pulled him into a short kiss, "You wanna sit on my lap again baby?"
"Gladly-" Echo was cut off again with a kiss, a chuckle filling his mouth from Y/n.
"Get a damn room!"
Y/n pulled away, glaring at the teen.
"Well Enzo. I am in a room! So get out of it!" Y/n argued, Echo's head in Y/n's shoulder.
"Well mom wants you to give those guys a tour." Enzo responded.
"Alright." Y/n spoke, turning back to Echo, "Later baby."
Echo was give a kiss on the lips, Y/n grabbed the tray.
"I can do that," Echo spoke stopping Y/n.
"How about you can do this one day, when we have our own home." Y/n spoke, "you know when we're married and have a little farm."
Echo flushed deeply, a farm? With him and Y/n all by themselves? Sounded...sounded. amazing.
Y/n pulled away from him tray in hand, "come on let's give that tour."
Echo followed Y/n dropping off the tray and then taking the boys around, introducing them to all the kids, big, medium small to twilek, zabrack, human to torguata. All of diffrent personalities. Some reading on there bed, some working out, some listening to music, others playing with dolls and action figures.
And then there was his room, nothing special, Echo and his favorite record in sitting still as the song had finished, a box of records tucked under the small table the record player sat on. The sheets a dark purple his pillow cases a matching dark blue a window at the far end.
"Please come in." Y/n responded offering them to come in and look around.
They filed in, the room fitting all them comfortably.
"It's quiet simple," Tech explained, "Your personality is a bit more bubbly so I was expecting something wild."
"Like that?" Crosshair questioned.
"Like what?" Tech responded turning around to face the wall behind them.
The wall was filled with photos, drawings and dried flowers, a vintage theme, branching off into its sub groups.
"There it is." Tech repsonded adjusting his glasses.
"Please feel free to look around." Y/n responded.
Crosshair stood next to Wrecker as they looked at the photos.
"Hey! It's Echo! Look!" Wrecker cheered as Crosshair peered over, the photo of Echo asleep on the couch, kids knocked out with him, "and Kamino!"
"How's you get a picture of Kamino?" Hunter questioned now also looking at the photos.
"Echo here got it for me." Y/n smiled as Echo rubbed the back of his head, "Its not just my memories up there- Hey! Lets get our own photo up there!"
Y/n got up going over to his desk as he lifted the top up pulling the old porloroid out.
"Echo." Crosshair spoke as the clone came over, "wanna explain this one?"
Echo looked at the photo, he clearly knocked out in Y/n's bed, his back bare hinting towards what had happened before hand, the blanket covering to his mid back and down, his arms tucked under a pillow permentatly fluffing it up as his cheek was baired into it.
"Not bad." Crosshair spoke nudging his brother, he was trying.
"Here is is new film and all." Y/n smiled going towards the group, "Come on! Gather around."
Y/n smiled as the group akwardly grouped together infront of the window. Looking at the group he rushed over, pushing them closer together.
"It'll be on a timer so I only have a few seconds." Y/n told them walking back over, "ready?"
"Uh sure?"
Y/n quickly pushed the button rushing over to the group, he quickly stood next to Echo. There was a click as Y/n rushed back over. The photo coming out the bottom as Tech rushed over intrested.
"Oh nice its comin through already." Y/n smiled, soon waving the square around as he walked over to his desk picking out a red and black thumb tack.
"Hmm..." y/n spoke rushing over to the wall looking around, "hah! Echo come here! Help me put this up."
Echo walked over as the boys watched him hand Echo the image and tack.
"See right there." Y/n pointed a spot above the door, dead center towards the ceiling.
"We'll move this one." Y/n said pulling up an old photo besides the light switch "up there."
Handing Echo the old photo they swapped Y/n pinning the new one with the group with a smile.
"Ready?"
"Yeah-"
Echo was grabbed by the legs, Y/n picking him up as Y/n grabbed the back off his thighs.
"A bit higher." Echo spoke as Y/n pulled his arms back, tight on Echo's thighs he pushed the clone upward, his thighs now trapping Y/n's face as Y/n's hands vanished behind Echo's kama skirt.
"Got it?" Y/n asked his chin resting at Echo's belt.
"Yeah." Echo spoke, his face red as he cleared his throat.
"Ready?'
"No- Y/n-" He spoke as Y/n laughed walking towards his bed, "Y/n! Y/n! I'll kill you don't- Ah!-"
Y/n tossed the trooper on the bed he bouncing as he let out a grunt, Y/n only chuckled turning back towards the boys, "come on i'll show you that barn they were talking about."
Y/n lead the boys along to the backyard, showing them the small barn his father worked on fixing a small animals leg, waving a B-1 droid showed up in a happy matter the others ready to fight.
"Master Y/n!"
"Please Y/n is fine B." Y/n smiled, "Boys this is B. He helps with the animals."
With an akward introduction the batchers kept there distance, but with the end of the small barn came the end of the tour. It now late in the hours of the day as the boys made there way our. Excusing themselves for the night.
"You'll have to come back." Y/n smiled.
"If its okay with Echo and your mother. " Hunter spoke, "and you of course."
"We'd be delighted to have you again." Y/n smiled, "Please. Come anytime with Echo. Or by yourselves. We're open doors."
Hunter nodded, the batch saying there goodbyes and thanks once more. They started there way away from the home, Tech staying back, "I suppose not all regs are regular after all. And that's good."
With his last comment Tech rushed to join the others.
Echo stayed behind with Y/n who smiled as the boys vanished.
"Now. That we're. Alone." Y/n teased.
"Alone? Really in this house?" Echo teased back.
Y/n chuckled, "as alone as we can be."
Echo smiled as Y/n closed the door.
"I'll go make some more milk and honey, you. Go get ready to cuddle." Y/n ordered playfully.
"Thats something I can do."
Him and Y/n unfortunately went separate ways, Y/n cleaning the cups and pot setting them to dry as one of the old B-1 droids would put the mass of dishes away during the night.
He pulled out another pot, putting it on the stove filled with the sweet liquid he wipped the tray clean, putting a fresh set of cookies on a small plate and two cups. Just in time as the pot started to whistle, pulling it off the stove he turned the gas off and went to his room.
Holding the tray in one hand he opened his door, "hey hope you didn't miss me too..."
Y/n's frame filling the door way, but froze seeing Echo's bare back facing him, a blanket sat high waisted on him as Y/n quickly stepped in, quiet with his steps he locked the door behind him, Echo now standing up and facing Y/n the blanket still around his waist.
"I uh..." Echo responded with a flush, "thought...you might like this first..."
Y/n flushed as Echo dropped the blanket, setting the tray on the nearest surface big enough, the floor flush against the wall besides the door, he walked over, kicking his shoes off in the process.
"Baby you have no idea how much I like this." Y/n told him, Echo's gaze away.
Maker. Y/n took his thumb to Echo's chin, Y/n's soft skin lightly tapping up Echo's chin to look up at him. Holding Echo's chin in place with his thumb and index finger Y/n smiled smally, his eyes filled with love for the pale male infront of him.
"Y/n. I..." Echo trailed off.
"Shh..." Y/n hushed softly, his thumb running down Echo's lip and back to his chin, "You don't have to say anything..."
Echo raised on his toes, leaning up to kiss Y/n, Y/n leaned down, the first kiss was almost shy, there lips only pressing together in sweet presence of one another. The small kiss leaving Echo breathless. They pulled away shortly. Another one soon be initiated, Y/n nudging Echo to sit down softly, he following Echo's movements, Y/n sitting besides him, the kissing barely any more intense, Echo swinging a leg over Y/n's straddling the taller male.
Y/n held the small of Echo's back, the two's makeout session growing in heat as Y/n's hands running down Echo's back and to his ass, where he gladly let his hands rest of Echo's warm skin while they kissed.
It was soon for breathe they pulled away, Y/n attaching himself to Echo's neck. Echo's hand through Y/n's hair as he hummed against Echo's pale skin, earing a soft mewel.
"Y/n...take me...take me away..." Echo whispered, Y/n laying Echo down on his back, his lips never movinv from Echo's shoulder.
"Take me away...Y/n..." Echo meweled softly, the words spilling from Echo's vocal cords once again.
Y/n stopped momentarily to lean up into Echo's ear, "only if I can come along baby..."
The night was filled with passion, hair being pulled in pleasure, moans dripping off each others lips, ripped from there vocal cords in call for the other one. Pleads drawn from the bottom as Echo left a few new scratch marks on Y/n's back, along with a line of hickeys following Y/n's collar blade to sholder. Y/n did the same, leaving hickies along Echo's body, where skin met metal.
Echo laid flat on his stomach now, his head turned towards Y/n. Y/n held a stupid large smile on his face, his finger's interlaced with Echo's.
"That was somethin else babe." Y/n told him softly, "Parched after the time of your life?"
Echo chuckled as Y/n pulled himself up, and out of bed. Echo receiving a pleasent veiw of Y/n's behind with one side having present marks, they currently defined and fresh, marks both darker and lighter spotted Y/n's back, mostly towards his shoulder and nape of his neck.
Echo watched Y/n pick up the tray and make his way back to the bed setting it on the nightstand, climbing back in the covers as Echo nuzzle up to Y/n.
"Clingy now are we? Let me pour you a cup atleast." Y/n chuckled.
Pouring them both cups Echo was handed one cold cup, "Thanks."
"Mhmm," Y/n acknowledged the two cuddled up, "shame its cold. Must sat for too long, needy thing arent you?"
Echo flustered, but took a risk himself, "Could still be longer."
"Oh? And what are you gonna do that I haven't done to you?" Y/n teased, Echo took a heavy drink, hoping it would bring him energy later taking Y/n's he sat it on the nightstand next to his own side of the bed.
Echo pushed Y/n onto the bed flat, the covers still hiding Y/n's lower half.
"I haven't rode you." Echo told boldly.
Y/n smirked up at him, "You're right you haven't,"
Echo's leg's swinging over Y/n, "Think you can handle me?" Echo questioned.
Y/n chuckled, "Baby you have no idea what I'd endure for you." Y/n sat up, holding Echo's face with a hand.
"Lets see then." Echo responded Y/n biting his lip as he pushed the covers down with a foot.
Y/n was pulled into a kiss, his hands running up and down Echo's back as Echo pushed him to the bed, the kiss never breaking.

next stop iwa-chan!
“now i know we’re not dating, maybe soon by the way things go, we’ve been talking for ages, take it step by step slow it down we just need to be patient, if the love feels good and it’s real, it’ll all work out”
y/n panted as she ran up to iwaizumi and oikawa’s shared apartment. not bothering to want to wait any longer to see him, y/n opted to take the stairs not willing to wait for the elevator.
4 flights of stairs weren’t too unforgiving to the girl especially with the adrenaline running through her. nothing else mattered other than getting to iwaizumi.
after what felt like a whole expedition, y/n finally reached iwaizumi’s door and waited a moment to gather herself before knocking.
swiftly, the door swung open revealing a freshly showered (fuucckkkk he's so hot i’m so jealous of you 😔) iwaizumi with his dark hair damp and a few water droplets hanging at the ends of the short strands. his lean figure complimented by a white tank and black sweats, and oh his arms. the arms that had gotten y/n into the mess way back when. y/n knew iwaizumi looked good but to look this good after a casual shower? that should be illegal.
“y/n.” he spoke softly as he stepped out the doorway to let her in.
the girl smiled slightly and cautiously entered the sleek and modern apartment. the tension was thick but not in a overwhelming and heavy way. no negative feelings towards each other in the air, just anxiousness and concern for the conversation waiting to occur.
“let’s go sit yeah? your legs might give over by the time i’m done telling you everything i need to if i make us stand.” he joked slightly as they made their way over to the inviting couch.
“i’d rather you make my legs give over in another way rather than making me stand for too long.” y/n joked back earning a snicker from him.
this was good.
the mood was being lifted ever so slightly. y/n didn't want iwaizumi to feel obliged to vent to her in a completely serious atmosphere.
the two sat and iwaizumi anxiously began to play with his hands.
“so obviously you know what i’m going to tell you. just tell me if im going on too much yeah? i don't want you to feel like i’m just dumping this all on you to make you feel bad or anything like th-”
y/n grabbed iwaizumi’s hands into her smaller ones and gave them a light squeeze as she held them.
“tell me anything and everything you want and need to.”
he smiled and took a small breath before continuing.
“so, you know shitty- i mean oikawa. you know oikawa the boy who gave you my number at the train station. he’s been my best friend for as long as i can remember. the piece of shit was always getting himself into all types of trouble, he can be so reckless sometimes... but that’s why we work well together. i call him out on his behaviour and help him fix it and he keeps me grounded. it’s always been like that.”
iwaizumi stopped for a brief moment to look into y/n’s eyes. her only twinkling and gleaming with pure genuine and care.
“so when we got to highschool, he uh, started getting a lot of attention. from girls i mean. they flocked him everywhere we went, sometimes i even had to go out of my way to look for him when he was late to practices or lost out of our group. his fangirls were... irritating and shallow. none of them saw or wanted to get to know oikawa for who he was. believe it or not y/n, sometimes i hate to admit it but he's a good guy really. he just has a funny way of showing it sometimes so it’s not the clearest.”
the girl laughed slightly as she nodded for iwaizumi to continue.
“so the end of second year, oikawa had been dumped by his girlfriend because she said he was too absorbed with volleyball even though she knew what she was getting into from the second she asked to date him. oikawa was bothered by even more girls after they learned he was single again and that's when my uh... ex was introduced to me.”
the word “ex” didn't seem to sound nice coming from iwaizumi’s mouth. it was almost like he had to force himself to say it.
“she wasn’t a fan of oikawa’s, well a clear one anyway. i’d never seen her in the huge groups of screaming and shoving girls whenever we had matches or practice so i just assumed she wasn't interested in him. i met her in the halls one day and helped her carry some books from her locker to her class.”
y/n felt iwiazumi’s hands grip hers ever so slightly tighter. this relationship must've affected him more than y/n thought.
“after that we spoke more often and became good friends. she was different to oikawa i didn't have to babysit her or scold her. she was easy to be around.”
iwaizumi had to stop himself from ending that sentence with “like you”. y/n and his ex were not the same. y/n was easy to be with in a different way. a better way. it was unexplainable, but y/n really was something else and iwaizumi meant this when he said it.
“months later and she confessed. i accepted and things went from there. things were good for ages. i felt happy? yeah, i felt happy with her. things were great between us. for once in my life i didn't feel inferior. i know i don’t show it but sometimes it can get a little... much? being stood next to the school’s idol your whole life will give you the automatic label of second best.”
he laughed at this slightly. a choked out laugh.
fuck he was already having to hold himself back from allowing the flood of emotions to break through the mental dam he’d built up over the years.
“we dated for over a year. i loved her. i really did... it just- it just wasn't reciprocated apparently.”
y/n leaned forward to caress the struggling ex ace’s face as he scrunched his face slightly to stop himself from breaking down. iwaizumi wasn't a man of too much emotion. his manly persona had led others to believe he was incapable of feeling hurt and iwaizumi just fed into this expectation not expecting anyone to call him out on it.
“she- no, i came out of practice and she was pressed up against oikawa’s locker with another boy from her class. i-... i didn't hear much of their conversation just bits. she said something along the lines of ‘if i can’t have oikawa the next best thing is to be done against his locker.’ fuck, i didn't even feel like second place.”
tears were now gathering in his eyes as he turned to look away for y/n who only looked at him with sympathy. wasting no time, y/n pulled iwaizumi’s head into the crook of her neck as she let him vent out all the pent up emotions that had been building up for months on top of months. she ran her fingers through his dark hair not caring that it was still damp as she drew circles on his tense back muscles to calm him down.
“take your time. i have all the time in the world for you.”
iwaizumi sighed after a few more minutes of quietly crying.
“s-sorry i just- everything became too much. i’m being stupid aren't i? getting upset over not even being second best to oikawa but his locker instead.”
“haijime.”
the boy’s head snapped up to meet y/n’s challenging gaze.
“you are anything but stupid. you have every right to be upset. i can’t even begin to try and understand what you went through. don’t you dare hold back, let everything out i want you to feel okay after all this and even if you don't, i at least still want you to get it all out your system.”
iwaizumi nodded before continuing.
“after that i broke up with her. she said that she was only dating me to try and get close to oikawa but that had gotten her nowhere apparently. she had been seeing that other boy for t-three months before our relationship ended. i should've seen it coming i feel so idiotic for not noticing sooner.”
“what did oikawa say when he heard about this?”
“he was livid. even i didn't feel like i could stand against him, then again i never really could in some sort of sense anyway.” he laughed dryly as y/n frowned.
“stop that.”
“stop what?”
“calling yourself second best, putting yourself as second best. you’re not second best and you never will be. fuck haijime, you know you’re the only one who’s ever managed to occupy my mind so effortlessly. since you, there’s been nobody else on my mind so i’m hurting knowing that you think you’re anyones inferior because for what it’s worth you’re not and never will be mine. you are your own person and you’re the person i’m so so helplessly in love with. everything about you. absolutely everything. you’re my person so please stop thinking you’re second place because nobody with a sane mind thinks that.”
iwaizumi was left speechless. he looked into y/n’s eyes and as always, nothing but sincerity shone in them. oikawa had been the one to indirectly end his relationship but something in iwaizumi’s mind told him that the universe had also allowed oikawa to bless him with something better. a chance for a better relationship with a girl he could openly and genuinely allow himself to fall in love with. oikawa tooru had given him the chance to be with y/n and there was no way in hell he was going to pass up what the universe had offered him.
“y/n. thank you.”
the girl smiled as she raked her fingers through his hair and laced one of her hands into one of his own.
“don't thank me. this isn't something you should need to be told.”
“no, thank you for not ignoring oikawa’s antics. thank you for giving in and texting me. thank you for not complaining when i dragged you all the way to miyagi at 12am. thank you for giving me a look into domestic life with you. thank you for letting me into your life. thank you for letting me fall in love with you. thank you for falling in love with me. just- thank you y/n. im stupidly in love with you and i want to make sure i do things right with you.”
now it was y/n who was rendered speechless as tears of her own pricked into the corners of her eyes.
“you idiot.” she huffed as she pulled herself into his chest.
“your idiot.”
“my idiot.”
the two stayed like that a little longer. relishing in the now lifted tension. iwaizumi felt like a huge weight had been lifted off his shoulder and y/n felt nothing but relief that he’d finally managed to let go.
he was still healing, that much was obvious and both of them knew he wasn't ready for a title yet.
the two were ridiculously in love.
and for now that was enough.
‘just a little longer y/n i promise.’

Take me home where i belong
Suguru x Reader
a/n: man i just wanna write Suguru right now. im working on another one similar to this!!
warnings: angst and idk. Grammatical errors
word count: 1697
Summary: after what happened to Suguru Geto, what is it that you truly desire?
A soft voice- a voice that calls you out.
"I'll be waiting for you, until then please be safe"
Those were the last words he said. The last words that made your resolve crumble, that every minute of the day breaks you. He's not here anymore. The first guy that calls you out, the first guy that was so sweet you feel like it's illegal to be close to him,the first guy that'll take you out to random places after every mission, the first guy to ever look out for you. The first guy that you longed for- you yearned everything about him-his touch, his humor, his smarty-pants attitude, his voice that makes you know that you're alright once you're talking to him, his terrible but at the same time makes you feel like the world is just about the two of you attitude. You miss him but
Suguru is already gone.
He left you. He left you with a broken resolve. A broken heart. And a confusing words-yet he said delicately. How did it end up like this? He left the world he was born to be in. He became the person that he said is not necessary for a jujutsu sorcerer. Suguru ate all his words.
A mission.
A mission was sent to you again. How many missions was it again ever since he left? It suddenly got out of your mind anymore. Was it not that important? Was he even important? Moreover... Were you even important to him?
A crowded place with a grade 1 curse spirit. It should be fine. You're a grade 1 too so it should be fine. But why did they even put you with this many people? Are you gonna...protect them?
"Shit, fuck" was all you grunted after receiving a number of attacks. Why did you even prioritize others? Fuck, all you did was protect those non powered people and this is all you got. A number of bruises and wounds. Did it hit any vital parts in you?
" I should probably go to shoko right now before anything happens" was all you thought after losing your consciousness.
"I'll create a world full of jujutsu sorcerers" your heart is running meters now because of how fast it beats. "What are you..talking about?" Was all the words that came out of your mouth. He looks down- Suguru might've lost his energy
"Are you gonna laugh at it?" He leaned in the nearest wall the both of you were in. He was waiting patiently for your answer. But all you did was look down. The urge to shout and question him was inside of you and yet it didn't come out.
You just met him after a mission you thought the you can make him come back. How delusional of you, you can't even speak up to him. You can't even speak up to the guy that made your world brighter. You can't even speak up to the guy who left you behind. What is he even talking about? What is he planning? What is he thinking? What got into him? You wanted to question him all of that and yet- only one question come out- "what are you talking about?" The 2nd time- yeah it was already the second time you asked him that. It was already the 2nd time and yet you feel like he'll just answer the same answer- the answer you don't want to hear from him-"i'll create a world without a non-jujutsu sorcerer". Why? Why do you wanna create that? Aren't you satisfied enough with the life you had? Who pushed that idea into you? Why did it cross your mind? Can i even..do something about it? No. Not even Satoru can do anything. Both of you and Satoru didn't have enough courage. "Hey.." there it is again. The voice that calls you out, the voice that made you question everything about you. A weight was pressed in your right shoulder-his hand, his rough yet gentle hands that reach out to you. You looked up at him. And all he did was put his other hand in your left cheek and pressed your foreheads together. "I'll be waiting for you, until then please be safe" then he left. Again. He left you hanging. He left you again with a lot of questions. He left you questioning yourself. You didn't even feel that you were losing your strength in your knees. You were already on the floor. With tears that you shed for the one and only Suguru Geto.
A light.
After all those days. Why does your dream need to remind you of him? You take a look at your surroundings. A bed. A nightstand. A familiar room. Yeah it was your room. Someone must've put you there when you got to Shoko. Your head aches,no it wasn't your head only. It feels like everything in you was being torn to pieces
"If the time comes would you run away with me?"
Another headache. Suguru Geto filled the depths in your soul. You remembered the time he asked that. It confused you at some point. But you said yes-you said yes to running away with him-because you thought his witty attitude is finally hitting him again. But now, it feels like- he really did wanna runaway- with you.
Yeah. Maybe. Running away was the best choice.
But something was holding you back. What was it? What was it that kept you from running away? What was it-what's the reason for it.
"Protecting the weak must come first, that's why i'll protect you first"
That's right. The old Suguru Geto was holding you back. The Suguru Geto that made sure to look out to those who are weak. The Suguru Geto that was so considerate to everyone. The Suguru Geto that believes that protecting the weak comes first.
But how about the Suguru Geto that's waiting for you. He must be lonely. He needs you. His words scream something so deep that it's hard to dig it. The voice of someone that yearned for another.
Suguru Geto is waiting for you.
You took the courage to stand up even though your body felt weak. There was still some aching in your body probably from moving around too much but yet you still stood up. You made sure to rethink everything. What was the right thing to do? Will helping take out curses be able to help you? Or will you just run away from everything and go back to someone so dear to you? You think about it again and again.
“Let’s go home?”
Another headache, another memory of him, this time he was smiling. That smile that made you fall deeper than somewhere on earth. That crashed something beneath your soul.
Suguru Geto really was so dear to you
You took everything out, you didn't even bother when something fell as long as it can have you take something, your clothes, your personal belongings everything, and it hits you, where are you gonna find him? You don’t even have leads of him and yet you still thought of running away. How are you gonna come to him
The village
The village where he massacred even his own parents there must be something there. There must be some leads of where he is. Contacting him is impossible right now. All you can do right now is rush to that village and find some leads of where he is.
4 days- 4 days and still no Suguru. The village was no help either. It was deserted at some point. Where are you gonna find him now. Your stomach is now wishing for food, the food runs out on your 3rd and a half day. Your stomach could bare right? It doesn't matter right now right? You haven't even got to sleep yet and are still finding Suguru. The odds of finding him is very slim right now.
8 days- your money really wasnt enough huh, now you can’t even afford transportation. Pathetic. You really would risk everything huh.
Suguru Geto where the fuck are you?
The 11th day was the worst. At least on the 9th day you still got some food and now you only have water with you and you feel like passing out already. Was running away really the best choice? Now you’re finding reasons about running away. You’re finally overthinking your decisions, it’s already the 11th day and still no leads of him. Your feet just kept walking and walking taking you everywhere. Your knees felt particularly weak right now. You dont even know if you can travel all around Japan like this and yet you still keep going.
You wanna come home. To him
“Mimiko that’s dangerous,please watch out”
Your world shaken. After almost 12 days, Suguru Geto finally showed up. You looked up at him, he had his back turning at you. It looks like he’s watching out for those two girls
But that doesnt matter
You wanted to run at him and punch him and yell at him. You wanted him to know that you almost went homeless because of him. But you didn't have the energy to do that. All you did was walk up to him until you felt close enough to tug his white long sleeves that he was wearing. Not feeling your knees anymore, you suddenly fell down. Tears swelling up in your eyes
I found you
“(Y/N)?” looking up to him, tears now falling down from your eyes, you smiled. “Take me home?” was all that came out of you. Suguru just kneeled down at you, foreheads pressed together. “Sorry, did I put a burden on you?” he muttered with such a low voice that only you can hear. You finally had the courage to hit the guy but all he did was chuckle at you
“Sorry to make you wait, let’s get you home?”
He made sure he guided you afterwards, the two girls assisting you also. He took you somewhere unfamiliar and yet you didn't complain.
Suguru Geto was finally with you

Just a Cold
MARK SLOAN X READER
REQUEST: Could you do one for when Mark is the reader is sick, but is doing everything to not have him notice. Then ends up getting worse. Sorry hope this makes sense lol :)- Anonymous
A/N: I loved this request sooo much! I wasn’t sure whether you wanted Mark and the reader to be in a relationship or not so I kinda did it like they might be but it could also be just flirting idk? I hope I wrote it okay and that you enjoy it :)
*WHY ISNT THERE A CONCERNED MARK GIF WHERE HE ISNT CRYING URGH*
I blinked my eyes open as sun shot through the blinds into my room, glaring across the white and grey walls. I groaned and rolled over, covering my face with a pillow as i slammed the alarm clock off. A vicious cough ripped through me and I winced, my chest contracting and sharp pains running through my head. It was my own fault really, i had gotten off work a little earlier than usual and decided to go for a walk while it was still light out. My downfall really was when I had decided against bringing a coat, instead trusting the stupid jumper I was wearing to keep me warm. The weather had looked nice enough to begin with but after 20 minutes the sky had decided to chuck buckets of water down on me and I was drenched, resulting in the now painful cold I had given myself. I opened my eyes again and looked at the clock, trying to turn the minutes back to give me more sleep. When this failed, I rolled out of my fluffy, lucious cloud of a bed and walked to the bathroom, hoping a warm shower would wake me up and heal my blocked sinuses. I rubbed my eyes as I stepped into the tiled room, looking at the mirror. My reflection wasn't too bad although I could see my eyes were a little puffy and my nose was sporting a tinge of flaring red. Sighing, I turned the shower on and undressed, pulling my hair up into a bun and stepping into the relaxing steamy fumes. When I had finished getting ready and had grabbed a breakfast bar that would end up ignored in my locker, I trudged out the door, locking it behind me and starting the 10 minute walk to the hospital. I really hoped I would have time to grab some medicine before rounds but I doubted it, seeing as I had spent way too long dying in the shower. A strong breeze ripped past me and I shuddered, pulling my coat closer to me and trying to hold down the scratching cough at the back of my throat. I soon arrived at the hospital doors and gladly went inside, thankful for the shelter against the weather. I walked slowly to the residents' locker room, smiling at a few nurses as they walked past. The room was bustling with noise as I entered and a few people called out my name but I just smiled, making my way over to my locker next to Alex. He turned to face me once he saw me coming over and chuckled at my pained expression. "You look like crap." He said as I stripped off my jacket and jumper, pulling my scrubs over the long sleeved shirt I thankfully wore. "Thanks so much Karev." I hissed, now pulling off my trousers and yanking on the rougher blue scrub ones. "No worries Y/N." He grinned at me and I rolled my eyes, sitting down next to him. The locker room seemed to be getting louder by the second and I shut my eyes, trying to block out the dull pain in my head. I stayed like that for a few minutes until I felt Alex nudge me, "Come on don't want the interns slacking off." I nodded and groaned, standing up. We walked side by side until we reached the nurse's station and he went off to torment his group of suck ups. I gathered the folders with patient info and dragged myself over to my 4 interns who stared at me. "What are you waiting for?" I said harshly and they scampered, heading off to the first patient's room as I followed behind. I wasn't usually that harsh with the interns but I was strict and they behaved well, eager to learn. I tried my best to educate them but sometimes they really got on my nerves. Once we made our way into the first patient's room, the interns lined up by the door while I walked to the bed. "Goodmorning Mr Davis, how are you doing today?" I asked softly, trying to hide my running nose. "Alright, hurts a little but it's getting better." I nodded and looked over to one of my interns, "Johnson?" At once the intern started pratlling on about Mr Davis' case and I nodded along, half listening to him, half trying not to close my eyes. He stopped talking fairly quickly and I nodded, "well done, we need hourly checkups on Mr Davis' vitals for the next few days but you should be ready to go home in a few days." I directed the last part at the patient who nodded and smiled. I walked out the room and passed the interns out the patient folders. The next patient was Mrs Walker who had recently had a rhinoplasty to fix her incredibly wonky broken nose from falling off a ladder while painting her house. It had been a simple case but there were complications in the OR and she was now under careful watch. I noticed Mark standing in the corner of the room and I winced, hoping he would ignore me. I walked to the corner of the room by the door and stood a little away from the patient, listening drowsily to the interns. "Morning Y/N." A voice behind me whispered and my heart picked up pace when I recognised Mark's flirty tone. "Sloan." I said curtly, trying to disguise my illness because I know he would make a big deal out of it and really it was nothing. "Ouch, what's got your panties in a twist today?" Mark teased, easily letting the dirty words roll off his tongue. "Nothing." I retorted, not daring to look Mark in the eye. I could feel the warmth of his body behind me and I wanted so desperately to reach out and let his comforting hold engulf me but I couldn't, not wanting him to make a big deal. "If you say so missy." He replied, whispering close to my ear. Despite my cold, I could feel heat rush through my body at Mark's seductive words. Normally I could retort with a witty remark but today the only thing my brain could focus on was the increasing ache in my bones. "Mark if you have finished flirting with Dr L/N, we have other patients to attend to." Derek called out, and I blushed, not even realising he had come into the room. "See you later L/N." Mark said as he left the room, leaving me wanting his heat back. The rest of rounds passed by incredibly slow and I now sat in the locker room again, trying to catch up on forms and paperwork that needed filling out. I had turned most of the lights off so the room was darker and was nursing a warm coffee in my hands. The soothing silence was helping to ease the growing ache in my head but the incessant coughing wasn't letting up. Suddenly, my pager started beeping and I groaned, putting my hot drink down and speed walking to Bailey. I was almost in the patient's room when I spotted Mark coming out of another room a few doors down and I quickly leaped into a supply closet before he could see me. I really loved Mark but he didn't need to see me when I was all runny nosed and coughing like a diseased hag. I waited 20 seconds, counting in my head before opening the door again and checking the coast was clear. It was so I walked out and over to Bailey's patient's room where she stood, talking to him about his upcoming surgery. She shot me daggers when I entered the room and I mouthed a sorry before explaining to Mr Morrison the risks. At lunchtime, I had just finished with a code blue, hoping to head to a dark, quiet space away from distractions. I was just stepping around a corner when I bumped into a solid chest, immediately apologising before looking up to see who it was. "Oh, Mark." I said, scanning the area to look for a way out and avoiding his gorgeous eyes. "Sorry about that Y/N, seems I have a knack for bumping into pretty women going for their lunch." I nodded absent-mindedly, trying to get away. "Right yeah urm I need to go." I said, going to walk past Mark but he grabbed my arm and pulled me back. "Woah woah woah what's the matter?" He asked, instantly concerned at my dismissal of his flirting. "Nothing." I said and he shook his head, bending his head down to meet my averting gaze. "You said that earlier." Mark continued, both hands now on my arms as he kept me still. "mm." I hummed, staring at the wall behind Mark. "You sure you're okay, you look a bit like your going to throw up." He said, concern lacing his voice. "No Im fine." I said, smiling weakly before scooting off down the halls leaving a worried plastic surgeon behind. For the rest of the afternoon, I sat on the bottom floor filling out charts. My headache and coughs had been getting progressively worse to the point where I could barely move due to my body aching so much. Luckily I wasn't in any surgeries today and Bailey hadn't been so much on my heels today although Mark had paged me a few times to the Attending room which I ignored. He had spotted me earlier after Mer had wanted me in the research room but I had run down the halls back here before he could catch me. I knew it was only a matter of time before he sought me out. I was almost done filling out the last chart when the door swung open and a familiar head of peppered hair came through the doors. I cringed inwardly and tried to make myslef as small as possible in the gap between the two hospital beds. I waited, trying to control my laboured breathing as he walked nearer, calling out my name. I closed my eyes shut as he closed in on my position. "Y/N?" Mark asked as he spotted my feet poking out from between the two beds. I winced at his voice and he ducked down, crouching in front of me and placing a hand on each of my bent knees. "Y/N?" He asked again and I opened my eyes. He sucked in a breath and immediately tried to bring me closer to him but I groaned. "No please Mark it hurts." I whispered, my voice just a croak. "Jesus Y/N you look like a ghost." Mark said, his face serious and eyes kind. I tried to smile but I couldn't manage, my head flaring up with every movement. Mark gathered the charts I had lying around me and placed them on the nearby bed before squatting back down. "Hey let's get you out of here." He softly said, but I shook my head, sniffling and wincing at the ache. "Come on, I'll help you." He continued, placing a hand on my warm cheek. I looked into his eyes and gave in, nodding slightly. Mark wrapped an arm around my waist and put another on my hip as he helped lift me up, careful to not be to rough. "That's it." He softly spoke, my hands resting on his upper arms for support. As soon as I was standing he brought me into his chest, resting his head on top of mine and stroking my back softly. I closed my eyes and breathed in his comforting scent, relaxing into the warmth. I felt Mark's hand smooth my hair and kiss the top of my head before he whispered, "Why didn't you tell me you were ill?" He stepped back slightly but still held me close, looking into my eyes. "I didn't want to bother you, it's not that bad." I replied, slightly shaky. "Y/N..." Mark said, brushing my hair behind my ear and cupping my face. "What bother's me is not knowing your ill and not being able to help." He said, bringing me back into his arms. "Im sorry." I said, nuzzling into his neck. "It's okay, let's get you into bed." Mark replied, kissing my forehead. Mark had ended up persuading me to go to his house, and I was currently stood in his bathroom, a towel wrapped around me. The steam from the hot shower had freed up my nose a little but the throbbing in my head hadn't let up yet. I walked into Mark's bedroom, rubbing my eyes. "Hey." Mark smirked, making me open my eyes to see his stupid self standing there with a cheeky grin as his eyes ran up and down my body. "My eyes are up here." I said quietly, making him chuckle and a small smile come across my face. "You know I think my towel on you is my new favourite look of yours." Mark said as he watched me walk across the carpeted floor to him. I narrowed my eyes at him and sniffled, holding onto the white fluffy towel that just surpassed my bum tightly. "If I wasn't so ill right now Sloan, I'd punch that pretty little grin off of your face." I hissed, taking the sweatpants and tshirt out of his hands. "Oh so you think I'm pretty then?" Mark teased, eyes still wandering. "Piss off." I said, watching Mark as he smirked wider and I headed into the bathroom again, closing the door. When I had managed to pull the black tshirt on, I looked at the sweatpants and groaned, resenting having to struggle into another item of huge clothing. It was worse than putting leggings on after swimming. I had panties on and Mark's tshirt came down to my mid thigh so I unlocked the door, hoping Mark had a pair of shorts I could wear. As soon as I stepped out, Mark sat up on the bed, eyes raking my body yet again. "Jeez Y/N you think you were trying to kill a man." He said as I walked towards him, cradeling the sweatpants. I was exhausted and couldn't think of any remark so just stuck my hands out, extending the sweatpants to Mark. "I'm too tired to put them on." I said quietly before a violent cough coursed through my body. "Okay come here." Mark said and sat me down on the bed, taking the sweatpants. I expected him to walk off to get some shorts but he crouched down in front of me and lifted my ankle into the cuff of the sweatpants. I blushed and muttered, "thanks." Mark just grinned and winked cheekily, making my face flush even more. He brought the sweatpants to my knees before asking me to stand up which I did. He went to take them up further and started lifting the tshirt before I grabbed his hands. "I think I can do the rest." I said softly, rolling my eyes at Mark's constant dirty flirting. "Worth a try." He remarked, brushing the hair out my face. Once I had gotten the sweatpants on and had gulped down 2 glasses of water and some medicine, I walked back from the hallway to Mark's room, seeing him lying in the bed with his pyjamas on. I yawned and smiled sleepily. "Gonna come join me missy?" He asked, flicking the duvet off to reveal his tartan clad legs and comfy bed. I nodded, dragging myself to the other side of the bed and climbing in before resting next to Mark. He chuckled and lifted me slightly, laying my head down on his chest and wrapping my arm around his waist while he hugged mine. I sighed contently and snuggled into his warming body, letting waves of sleepiness wash over me, lulling me to sleep. Mark turned the bedside light off and kissed the top of my head, whispering, "Night love." I smiled and closed my eyes, drifting off.

Hey, could I request more of that ‘Alan has cancer’ fic please? With Scott looking after Alan when he’s not feeling well, like a really tender moment?
sure! i hope you dont mind me nabbing prompt number 4. “Please stay with me.” for this. its based on the number in your URL :] (i would have also grabbed 7 for fun but theres no way im fitting that sentence in lol)
ill be accepting prompts until tomorrow morning, so get them submitted within the next 7 ish hours if you haven't yet and want to! the prompts are pinned at the top of my blog <3 (im going to bed snnnzzzz)
cw for mentions of cancer/cancer symptoms as well as chemotherapy
technical first part to this story but you don't have to read to understand
Scott vividly remembered a memory of both John and Virgil banning him from the kitchen. They already had Grandma to start fires for them, they don't need Scott helping.
But even they would have to be willing to forgive him for dabbling with their janky pancake maker considering the circumstances.
"It's started," Virgil plainly stated while standing on the other side of Scott's desk.
The brunet could only look up confused, the paper he was reading previously loosely gripped in his hand with one of his favorite pens in the other, "What started?"
Virgil sighed, but not at Scott, just at the situation in general, "I was helping Alan get ready this morning and started brushing his hair. I got about four brushes in before a clump of hair fell out."
Well, what great news to start the day off with.
"Jesus," Scott could only lightly slam the paper and pen he was holding down onto the table to push his wrists into his eyes. "Jesus Christ."
They were all expecting it to happen sooner rather than later, still didn't suck any less.
Virgil walked around to place a gentle hand on his brother's shoulder, rhythmic with his comforting rubs as much as possible, "Yep."
Scott left a hand on the side of his face as he looked out over their house with a shake of his head, staring off into space as a million thoughts raced behind his eyes, "God, why Alan out of all people, out of us? What has he done in his life to deserve this?"
Virgil shrugged his shoulders, swallowing the spit in his mouth as he proceeded to look out over the room just like Scott, "Nothing, absolutely nothing, which is why cancer sucks so much. People who get it never deserve all the pain it brings with it."
John mentioned something about eating lots of healthy things during treatment, didn't he?
Scott grabbed a cup from one of the cabinets before heading over to the fridge. Filling the plastic container to the top with some grapes, pineapple, and carrots (Alan's favorites), Scott went back to the tray to place it on there and leaned away a little bit to make sure everything on it looked presentable.
A few pancakes, a cup of juice, utensils, and now a cup of fruits and veggies.
Scott sighed while carefully grabbing the edges of the whole thing, hoping it would be enough (would anything be enough right now?).
Making his way to Alan's room quietly, he used one of his feet to prod the door open to the kid's room, leaning over the tray in his hands to peek inside. With the sun rising over the horizon and peering in from the window, the room was lit up just enough to make Alan's outline on the bed, IV and all.
For the most part, patients tended to receive their treatment in a clinic or hospital, but occasionally, with the help of an on-site nurse, chemotherapy can be given at a person's own home. With both Brains' and Virgil's expertise, it wasn't that hard convincing the staff to release Alan and to let him stay with his own family.
They weren't dumb with it, and anything they were even slightly unsure about involved inviting a private doctor to the island to help them out, but for the most part, they knew the best thing they could do for the kid was letting him be in a familiar environment he felt safe at.
With a soft 'click', the door was pushed back shut with the same foot he used to open it. Scott took a deep breath, "Alan?"
He thought he would need to speak again before the youngest finally stirred and rotated himself around to look at the door. Once he noticed who was in his room and what that person was carrying, he sat up on his hands and knees with an ear-to-ear grin, "Scott!"
Scott was sure to hide the way he wanted to grimace at how Alan sounded, "Hey Allie, I got something for ya."
Walking over to the bed, Scott leaned down to place the food on Alan's lap, grinning at how happy the smile on his face was. Sitting down on the edge of the covers, Scott crossed his arms as he stayed to make sure nothing went wrong.
Ignoring how Alan's hand trembled while holding the fork, Scott watched Alan take a bite of pancake. He hummed around the utensil in his mouth, words mumbled as he spoke with food in his mouth, "Wow, this is great! Did Virgil make this?"
Scott laughed, though it had a hint of unsureness behind it, "Um, thank you, but no, I made it."
Alan moved to munch on some grapes as he absorbed the words, "But John said you weren't allowed to use the kitchen any more?"
Dirty snitches the lot of his brothers were, sometimes. With a fond sigh, Scott reached forward and ruffled Alan's hair the softest he ever had, "Well, he can take it up with me later if it bothers him so much."
Alan giggled before continuing on and finishing the breakfast Scott made for him. Nothing else needed to be said, everything the two of them needed could be achieved by just being in each other's presence. It almost felt like an eternity, with how slowly Alan was eating, but eternity was exactly how much time Scott had for his brothers anyway.
Setting the fork down, Alan leaned back with a blissed-out sigh, "That hit the spot. Thanks again Scooter."
Scott nodded, "Of course, it was my pleasure."
The brunet stood up and stretched his arms above his head to get the knots out of his back. Before he could fully reach down to grab the tray for when he left the room, Alan shot forward and wrapped his hand around his older brother's wrist.
The grip laughably weak, yet it still tugged on Scott's heart all the same. Despite it all, Alan still had the ability to whip out an absolutely stellar pair of puppy-dog eyes, "Please stay with me."
Scott had a lot to do today. He had to sign a bunch of papers, make a few phone calls, and he still wasn't sure whether or not he needed to go to the mainland for an in-person meeting. Still, "Sure thing, bub."
As gently as he could, Scott lowered himself back onto the bed next to Alan, grabbing the now-free-of-food tray and setting it onto the table next to them. Worming his way closer to the headboard to be more comfortable, Scott had all of two seconds before Alan's head was on his shoulder and the kid's arms were wrapped around his right one.
With a fond sigh, Scott pulled out his phone, content with the idea that he'd probably be hunkering down for a while. After a few rings, he held it horizontal as John's hologram appeared before him.
He spoke quietly, "Hey John, do you mind rescheduling anything I have for today for later in the week? Something came up, I'm gonna be kind of busy."
Noticing the tuft of blond in the corner of Scott's hologram, John didn't need to be told twice, "Sure thing, Scott."

that one fic where you play uno with toxin #2
heres the second part! i'll try to organize my masterlist soon, so please be patient with me! thank you guys for reading!
words: 625
warnings: kidnapping, fighting, lmk if there should be any other warnings!
toxin sat on the wooden bench, looking around to see if there was anyone else in the building. (un)fortunately, there was no one in sight.
anti venom had swung across the entire city and had continued on for quite awhile. they stopped at a little rural church, where you two were residing. anti venom said he had business elsewhere, and left in a hurry, and toxin could only assume that he meant the 3 other symbiotes currently fighting each other for something that wasnt even there.
toxin heard some shuffling next to him and he turned his head to see you lying on your side, taking up 2 seats of the church. you were looking at a glass mural of jesus holding a lamb, that shined brightly throughout the church, lit by some lights behind it. toxin looked outside the window, noting how dark it had become, before turning back to you.
"at least it's pretty, right?" toxin asked, wondering if you were alright. you mumbled something incoherent, and toxin tilted his head, wondering what you said.
he heard you sigh, before grumbling out, "I almost forgot why I dont like churches."
he stared at you while you explained, "I never liked how quiet it was. always too damn eerie, too, especially at night."
toxin nodded his head, and looked at the mural you were looking at. It's still pretty, though...
suddenly, you both heard a loud boom outside of the churches front doors. toxin got up, ready to fight.
another one came, this time, closer, and toxin grabbed you by the hand, and looked around, trying to find another area to hide.
BOOM
he spotted a door, probably to a kitchen, since churches usually had communions. he dragged you over while you whisper yelled at him, asking what was going on.
BOOM
pushing you inside, he shut the door and saw that it was in fact a kitchen, and saw a door leading outside. he went to open it, but he saw that it was locked. Damn it!
a sudden crash sounding from the isles of benches made him throw you in a cabinet and put himself with you. at this point, he was able to feel you shake and saw you covering your mouth with your hand.
large footsteps went around the larger room next to the both of you. toxin couldnt tell who it was, his father, venom, anti or knull. he heard the footsteps stop for a moment, before picking up speed towards the door.
you let out a whimper as the steps became louder and quicker, but right as they came up to the door, you both heard, "Where did you put her, Carnage?!"
you heard something jump towards the doors before realizing that whoever had spoken must have grabbed Carnage by the back of the neck and pulled him back.
toxin wasted no time however, kicking open the cabinet, and dragging both of you out. he went over to the door and crushed the handle before kicking it open.
holding you by the hand you both ran from the church, not looking back.
well. toxin wasnt looking back. you, however, were. you saw carnage and anti venom beating each other up, while knull and venom were throwing stuff at the other. none of them seemed to notice the both of you escaping to the dark woods, and escaping the chaos behind you.
toxin loved you. not in a romantic sense, but more like a brotherly love. he might think that hes doing the best for you, that hes being a great big brother for you, but deep down, he knows hes as good as the rest of the 4 symbiotes: he cant let you go to someone else.

THANK YOU’S
I can't explain how much AM Conversations and YOU&ME has meant to me. This was a story I started just for fun after I realized how much I loved Niall. After only a few chapters, i almost let it die. It took me 4 years to decide to continue it again, despite knowing back then that no one cared or was interested to read. I don't know how I got lucky enough that you guys actually gave this story a chance. And I can't thank you enough for trusting me. I hope I entertained you through the past year and a half, and I really hope I made you go through a bunch of emotions, good and bad. I don't think all of you realize how happy you made me feel with the likes, the reblogs, the comments, the feedback and the ideas you sent me. It made me want to write more, it made me want to continue this story and actually finish it.
And here I am. It's the very first time I actually finish a story. two books. 105 chapters. Over 440k words. I can't pretend I'm not proud of this. This story will always be my baby, my favorite. Chapter 50 (final chapter)
OLIVIA
I felt Niall's lips brush the skin of my neck and my lips curled. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I chuckled low, tilting my head to allow him to kiss me more. We had been back from our trip to Vegas for about a week, and had intentionally and very carefully ignored the messages and calls we had gotten. All we did was send an invitation for a party to everyone we knew, including our parents, along with plane tickets. We had taken hotel reservations for them and made sure their stay would be perfect. Everything was ready, everything was planned, and all the persons we loved the most in the world were going to be present. I was extremely stressed and as usual, Niall was totally relax about it. I had no idea how he did it, but the fact that he was so calm and laid-back helped me relax, too.
"This is amazing." he let out, pecking my skin more. "Everyone that really matters will be there."
"I hate talking in front of people, you know that." I whined, raising my nose up in a grimace.
"But everyone who'll be there actually loves you, petal." he argued, running his hands gently and slowly up my arms. "I love you the most and I'll be standing right next to you."
"How do you think they're react?"
"Mm, our moms will cry, our dads will laugh, our friends will scream and Louis will curse."
I let out a louder laughter, making Niall chuckle against my neck.
"You told him, didn't you?"
"I showed him the ring but I didn't tell him when I was going to ask you, or that we would just fly to Vegas to get married." he shrugged. "I just left him there and ran to you."
I smiled fondly and turned around in his arms to face him, tilting my chin and licking my lips as I stared in his eyes. He was wearing a tie and I gripped it gently, pulling on it. He had convinced me to wear a dress even if I knew I'd feel uncomfortable the whole evening but I knew I couldn't just wear sweatpants to this event, even if I desperately wanted to.
"How's my make up?" I finally asked, raising my eyebrows, after a few minutes of silence.
"On point." he replied, making me laugh.
"You have no idea what you're talking about, do you?" I asked as he pulled me closer by the waist.
"No idea. None."
I laughed more and he bent down to kiss me gently. "All I know is that you're beautiful. You always are." he whispered, brushing his lips against mine again.
"You're so full of shit, Horan." I breathed back against his mouth, my lips curling slightly.
"I mean it." he insisted very low, his arms slipping around my waist as he pressed my body against his. "You're the most beautiful woman i've ever seen. You shine so much, you glow, my love."
I giggled and he smiled, moving his face slightly away to look at me. My smile faltered a bit and turned into a fond one. I wanted to stay right there, in our living room, as he'd hold me close, but I knew we had somewhere to be.
"My wife."
My eyes fluttered close and my lips curled more. All the papers were signed and the 'I do's were said. We were officially husband and wife and that thought always made my heart jump in my chest. It probably always would.
"Yes?"
"I would love to stay here and make love to you all evening but we should really get going."
I laughed a bit and shook my head, knowing it was exactly what we had been doing for the past weeks but I didn't mention anything. Instead, I tilted my head and just nodded. I was stressed and I was not sure why but after everyone was arrived and had consumed at least one drink, Niall walked up to the small stage and I frowned a bit when I saw him grab his guitar. His eyes found me and he made a quick head movement, telling me to join him.
"Go!" Louis told me, pushing me gently but I just pressed my lips together and breathed in deeply. "Come on, my queen."
I finally joined Niall and he cleared his throat, placing himself in front of the microphone. That was it, that was the moment I was dreading, and I started feeling nauseous.
"Hello everyone, thank you for coming here tonight." he let out with a smile. "I know you're all here because you think we're getting engaged."
I bit my bottom lip but suddenly, I relaxed. Perhaps, it was the sound of his voice that calmed me down, or maybe the fact that we were surrounded by all the people we loved, or maybe it was just the thought that we were married and that no one could take that away from us. Either way, I moved closer and I smiled while staring at him.
"Uhm, we're not getting engaged. In fact, if you haven’t heard from us at all in the past two weeks, it's because we flew to Vegas and got married there."
The memory of him, standing in front of me as he held my hands and promised to love me forever came back to my mind and I held my breath. Everyone started whispering but coming loud from all the murmurs was the sound of my best friend screaming "FUCK YEA!" from the middle of the room. I let out a laughter as my eyes looked for him and he sent me a 'rock on' sign with his free hand while the other was holding up a glass of wine.
"Thank you, Tommo." my boyfriend let out with a smile and a small head movement. "So you guys are here to celebrate the fact that Olivia and I are husband and wife, legally and emotionally. I waited until you were all at least a bit intoxicated to let out the news but if you're here, it's because we love you, and we wanted to live this with you. We knew you would all be happy for us, because after all, Liv and I, it was meant to be."
His eyes found me and I smiled more, I took a step closer and licked my lips as In gripped the side of my dress nervously. It took only a second for Niall's hand to reach mine and when he squeezed my fingers, I felt better.
"Thank you so much for being here. We're sorry you missed the ceremony, but it was important for us to do it just the two of us. When you find the love of your life, that one person you want to spend all your days with until the very last, then there's no reason to wait. I've always known Niall was my soulmate, but now I know I'm his too, and nothing can change that. I know it's cheesy, but each and every single one of you were with us when we said 'I do'"
Niall chuckled next to me and shook his head slightly. "Here, let me reenact what happened to you." he turned to me and just let out a low 'I do' before grabbing my face and kissing me.
It was not as gentle and emotional as it had been when it really happened, but I still felt my heart jump in my chest. I loved the feeling of his warm palms on my cheeks and the way his fingertips brushed against my jaw and neck. I loved his touch. I heard everyone start cheering and clapping and I laughed through the kiss, feeling his lips curl into a smile too.
When he pulled away, I could swear my eyes were sparkling and when his eyes met mine, he smiled even more. "Okay so I wrote a song for you." he explained when the small crowd of our families and friends became quieter. "I wanted to sing it here, in front of everyone, because I thought it was perfect for today."
I took a step back and when he started singing, I recognized the lyrics. I had read them in his notebook a few months before. It was the song he wrote in the middle of the night and I remembered watching him for so long, his pen running quickly on the paper and his hand moving in his hair from time to time, messing it on the top of his head. I remember reading the lyrics the next day and tearing up when I realized there was my name at the bottom. I remembered everything and I tried to keep the tears in as he sang.
"Yeah, I see us in black and white Crystal clear on a star lit night In all your gorgeous colors I promise that I'll love you for the rest of my life See you standing in your dress Swear in front of all our friends There'll never be another I promise that I'll love you for the rest of my life"
I knew Niall would have preferred a more traditional wedding, and I also knew he gave it up just for me. This small reception was the closest he would get from telling everyone that he promised to love me forever and somehow, with this song, he was doing it very clearly and openly.
"I want the world to witness When we finally say I do It's the way you love I gotta give it back to you I can't promise picket fences Or sunny afternoons But, at night when I close my eyes"
I held my breath, feeling suddenly a bit guilty that he couldn't have his family and friends with him when we got married, but I teared up at how beautiful his lyrics were, even if I already knew that. I breathed in deeply only when the song was over and without thinking, I walked up to him quickly, got on my tiptoes and kissed him.
"I love you so much." I just let out before my lips crashed against his.
Everyone started clapping again but I was not sure if it was for the kiss or the song. Either way, it didn't matter. I just deppened the kiss and he answered it without hesitation. I knew he didn't like PDA, but I couldn't help it and when he pulled me closer, I knew he didn't mind. I felt half of his guitar press on my stomach and laughed a bit.
"I love you too."
NIALL
Everyone was dancing, talking, laughing and drinking. I remained close to my wife the whole time and when I saw our parents talking together, I knew that was the ultimate test. I was pretty sure they would be okay with this but I was still a bit scared of their reaction. I felt Liv hold my hand so tight that I almost took it back. Instead, I squeezed her fingers back and smiled as we walked up to them. Quickly, my mom engulfed me in a hug and all the stress disappeared. I noticed Olivia's parents do the same to her and I hugged my dad before turning to my parents-in-law and hold out my hand to her father. It took a few seconds but his lips finally curled and he shook my hand before pulling on it and hugging me too.
"I am happy for you, son."
"Thank you."
"We're sorry that you couldn't be there with us. I promise we didn't want to hurt you, we just..." Liv started before licking her lips and pressing them together. "We just wanted to do that alone."
Her mom raised her eyebrows and they stared at each other in silence for a while.
"Es-tu heureuse?"
My girlfriend's lips curled and her eyes fluttered a bit. "I've never been happier, maman."
Her mom nodded and after a while, it was my mom's turn to hug her. When they pulled away, Olivia frowned and her lips parted. I couldn't help but think that she looked too pretty for words but I tried to push that thought away when I heard only one word escape her mouth. "How...?" My mom smiled more and chuckled slightly. "I just do."
I was about to ask them what they were talking about but I felt someone slap my back and it took me by surprise. I jumped slightly and groaned low as Louis appeared in front of me.
"Congrats mate, I'm happy for both of you." he said, wrapping his arms around me and hugging me so tight that I lost my breath.
"Thank you." I said as he let go of me to engulf my girlfriend into a tight and more emotional hug.
I stared at them for a few seconds and finally turned to Eleanor who congratulated me too before hugging me. Soon, Liam, Julie and Harry joined us and after hugging everyone, we all started talking and laughing together. I knew everything would go well but at the same time, I was a bit nervous. It was important for me that our friends and family would be okay with the fact that we got married without telling them, and I just wanted them to know it was not against them at all, but mostly just for Liv and I. We had started just the two of us, and it was just the obvious way to do this.
For the rest of the night, I spent my time watching my girlfriend dance, laugh and interact with the people we loved, telling myself that this was the happiest time of my entire life. I watched everyone leave one by one, our parents being the firsts and then our friends. Louis was the last one to leave and we decided to just leave with him.
"You know, you literally made me want to do it too." he let out low, looking at our girlfriends saying their goodbyes and making me frown. "Your speech earlier. It made me realize that maybe I shouldn't wait anymore."
My lips curled and I let out a chuckle. "Go for it." I just let out, knowing perfectly well that their couple was as strong as ours and that they both considered each other their soulmates. "I don't even know why you waited that long."
He didn't send me a glance, he just kept looking at El and after a few minutes, we said good night and left in a different cab. It's only when we walked inside and closed the door behind us that I felt all the stress disappear from my body. It was a good stress, but it was still nice to relax.
Olivia disappeared in the hall and I just sat on the couch, loosening my tie and putting my feet on the coffee table. I closed my eyes and leaned my head on the back of the couch as a bunch of memories came to mine. I had been so close to lose the love of my life forever and by my fault. I had hurt her in a way I had never hurt anyone else in my life and at the same time, I had hurt myself in a way I had never been hut before without realizing it immediately. I couldn't lie and pretend Olivia was not the best thing that has ever happened to me because she was, and I liked to believe I was for her, too. You can call it fate, you can call it destiny, you can call it 'soulmates' but in the end, it was just an other love story for most people. For me, however, it was epic and the accomplishment of a lifetime.
After everything we've been through, every wrong decisions, every mistake and every problem, we still managed to reach this point of happiness together. Olivia has always told me that love was not all you need, despite the popular song, and I knew she was right. But it was because of the love we have for each other that we actually tried over and over again. It was because of this love that we actually ended up together, because we were ready to make the effort, and because we believed in the feelings we had. I knew I would never truly be happy without her and now that we were together, I planned to do everything possible and impossible to keep her in my life.
My girlfriend came back and put something next to the couch, which I guessed was her purse. I was not surprised to see she had changed into a pair of my sweatpants and a shirt that also belonged to me but looked so much better on her. It stuck to her chest and hips in a way it didn't to me and I loved it more than I should.
"I would have loved to take that dress off of you myself." I admitted with a smirk, making her raise her nose up as she sent me a smile. "But hey, I'm not surprised."
She moved closer and gripped my tie, pulling on it gently and making me laugh right before her lips reached mine. I was a bit tipsy and mixed with my happiness, it made me sound totally drunk, but she knew me well enough to know I was just ecstatic from the night we just had had.
"You can take my sweatpants and t-shirt off later, if you want." she proposed before I nodded. "I'm not wearing anything under, if it changes anything."
I chuckled and she kissed my lips again as one of my hands reached for her waist. "Come on, sit on me, will you?"
I watched her hesitate and bite her bottom lip gently before actually straddling me. I moved my chin up, endeared by her behavior, and my hands reached for her thighs. I let my palms rub slowly on the fabric of her pants and stared at her as she licked her lips.
"Thank you for the song." she whispered, a shy smile gracing her lips as she looked away. "Honestly, I had read the lyrics before. I know I shouldn't have but it was sort of an accident."
I raised my eyebrows and smiled back at her. "You're so nosy I swear," I joked. "No one told you not to touch other people's stuff?"
"I'm sorry! I know I shouldn't have. Forgive me?" she asked with a cute grimace, making me roll my eyes with a smile.
"Of course." I just let out, moving my head slightly. "I almost sang you 'This Town' instead." I paused and she frowned. "I know I wrote it when we first dated, and I told you it was partially about you, and partially fiction... but when you were with Dylan and we met again, It hit me how it had completely turned out to be what I was actually going through. And the lyrics are still true, you know? Everything comes back to you."
Her eyes fluttered and a fond smile spread on her lips. She brought her hands to my cheeks and let her thumbs brush on my stubble. I wanted to keep telling her how much I loved her but quickly, she pressed her mouth against mine and my hands gripped her thighs at how good she tasted. I don't know how long we stayed close, her forehead leaning against mine while we both kept out eyes closed, but I focused on her weight on my lap and the aroma of honey and vanilla invading my nose. I could have stayed like that all night.
"Told you our parents would be happy." I let out after a while, making her sit back up to look at me.
"Mm, and your brother?" she asked, raising her eyebrows.
"He sent a text message to say congrats earlier." I explained as my hands kept running on her thighs. "You know we're gonna have to entertain our parents for a few days. That means we can't spend our days locked her to fuck anymore."
She laughed a bit and tilted her head. "I think we can take a few days break."
I frowned but shook my head, wrapping my arms around her waist and pulling her closer. "That's not what I meant, we can still have sex when we come back home, and if you're too exhausted I can do all the to work."
"I suspect you actually enjoy that." she laughed, making me smile more.
"Mm, maybe I do."
I pulled her closer and when her lips brushed against mine, I heard her whimper low. I slowly deepened the kiss just to taste her and she let me, moving as close to me as she could. I felt her ass rub on my thighs and groaned when it reached my cock.
"Maybe we should go to our room now, what d'you say?" I proposed in a whisper before kissing her more.
"Not yet." she murmured back, grabbing my upper lip between hers and sucking on it.
I felt myself get hornier and groaned low as I grabbed her waist and turned us around, laying her down on the couch. She let out a little scream and I quickly moved over her, smiling big.
"Fine then, we'll do it here."
We kissed a bit roughly and deeply for a while but when my hand slipped under her shirt, she quickly stopped me. "Niall wait, I have something for you first."
I frowned but even if I was curious, I definitely thought it could wait. Seeing her face though made me back away slightly and after a few seconds, I sat up and she did the same, pulling on her shirt to put it back in place.
Without a word, she reached for what she had put next to the couch and held me a white gift bag. I stared at it for a while and finally turned to her, a bit suspiciously.
"Did I miss something? An anniversary or something else that was important?"
She chuckled and shook her head, but I noticed how she was nervously playing with the fabric of her pants. "No, don't worry. I just wanted to give you a little something."
We just looked at each other for a while and I let my eyes roam on her face before finally take the colored tissues off the bag and dive my hand in it. I grabbed something and took it out but it took a few seconds for my brain to process everything. It was a piece of fabric, almost the same white as the bag but a bit lighter, and when I turned it around, I understood. On the front was written "my daddy is a rockstar" and somehow, I felt my heart jump so high in my chest I had to swallow it back.
"Petal." I whispered before turning to look at her. "Are you pregnant?"
Slowly, she nodded, her eyes never leaving mine, and I felt my heart jump for a second time. I blinked a few times, feeling tears coming to my eyes as a bunch of emotions flooded me. My eyes roamed on her and ended on her belly who looked exactly like it always did but when I looked up, I held my breath, realizing something.
"My mom knows."
She nodded slowly again. "She... she guessed it. I don't know how she knew, but she congratulated me earlier, at the party."
"You... you didn't drink?"
"Not a drip. I had soda." she explained, tilting her head and pressing her lips together. "I thought you had noticed."
I didn't answer, I just blinked again a few times before looking back at the small pajama I was holding. It seemed surreal and despite what I thought I would feel if it happened, I felt overly emotional but in a good way.
"I'm really gonna be a dad?" I asked, raising my eyebrows and finally turning to my girlfriend who just nodded. I chuckled a bit, and then some more. "Fookin' hell."
"Are you happy?"
Her question was legit since we had had a pregnancy scare a few months earlier, but it seemed like so many things had happened in such a short period of time and now that my tour was over, I felt like it was a good time to jump into this.
"Honestly, Olivia..." I turned on the couch to face her and noticed she was holding her breath and tearing up. I moved closer and her eyes fluttered. I watched one single tear fall from her left one and cupped her face, brushing my thumb on her cheekbone to catch the tear. "I thought marrying you and finally being with you was the highest moments of my life. I honestly never thought I could be even happier than I already was. But you just made me the happiest man in the whole fookin' world, pet."
She let out a loud sigh of relief and I brought my lips against hers. "I love you so much, Olivia. I can't wait for that future with you. You and Me. This is just the beginning."

A pencil dangled between two of your fingers, gently swinging back and forth as you tapped the eraser’s tip against your chin in thought. Looking over Hinata’s shoulder at the worksheet laying on the table, you extended your hand and made a neat scrawl on the page. “That’s good translating, Hinata! However,” you dragged your pencil across the surface, marking a line and arrow to point at a space near the beginning of his sentence, “keep in mind that although gerunds look like verbs, they act as nouns. So, this word should go here.”
Yachi, who was seated to your right, nodded in agreement. “I looked through his notes doodles, and it looked like they were going over gerunds in class!”
With narrowed eyes, Hinata scanned the page, muttering the sentence underneath his breath. Suddenly, his hazel eyes lit up in understanding and his lips morphed into a round “O.” “Ohhhh, that make a lot more sense! Thanks, (y/n), you’re a big help, especially in English! Also, look, guys!”
He rummaged through his cluttered backpack and fished out a slightly wrinkled sheet of paper with a red “14/50” marked on the top right corner. Holding it up proudly, he declared, “I got a better score than last time! By nine points!”
“That’s still an F,” Tsukishima pointed out, eyes glued to the pages of the book he was reading. Yamaguchi and Kageyama tried to stifle their snickers.
“Y-You’re not even looking!” Hinata defended. The ginger was met with a shrug. “I don’t need to see the score to know you failed.”
Before any fighting could break out, however, the door swung open, revealing the remaining third-years. Bags of snacks in their arms, the four of them stepped in. “We’re back! Your parent/guardian let us in, (y/n),” Sugawara announced, setting his bag down on the table. The rest followed suit and set the goodies down. Rummaging through one of the bags, Daichi pulled out a meat bun.
“Hinata, here’s your meat bun,” he said, handing the snack to the excited first-year, who had long-forgotten Tsukishima’s snide remark about his lack of intellectual aptitude. Kiyoko offered Kageyama his milk, the slight brush of their hands being enough to stir Noya and Tanaka into an envious craze. Asahi tried to settle them down, nervously reminding them that they needed to act respectful in your home, especially after your family had agreed to let you all study there. You stifled a giggle as Sugawara and Daichi joined in, scolding their underclassmen for their poor behavior and threatening them with a time-out.
With an exasperated sigh, Sugawara took a seat next to you on the mat. “Ah, I can’t help but worry about how Ennoshita’s going to handle both of them on his own.”
Giving a sidelong glance to the second-year, who was now forcing Noya and Tanaka to complete timed practice problems, your lips formed a small smile. “Looks like he does a pretty good job at it, though.”
Sugawara let out an amused huff. “Guess I’m worried over nothing. Oh, also,” he dug into the plastic bag in front of him, taking out your favorite snack and offering it to you. “Here you go.”
(can u tell from my stories yet that fav snacks aka actions are my love language--)
“Oh, thank you, Suga, I didn’t even ask for this…” you flashed him a grateful smile and took the package from his hands, suppressing the blush that threatened to overcome your cheeks as your fingertips brushed. He gave a sheepish smile and glanced to the side in response, giving the back of his neck an anxious rub.
“Ah, it’s the least I could do to thank you for letting us all come over to study. It’s really helpful. I appreciate it, (y/n).”
“It’s not much, really. I’m more than glad to help you all (read: Hinata, Kageyama, Tanaka, and Noya) out with English and offer my place. Having everyone together makes it easier. They need to pass these exams so you all get to play.”
Your offer to help the team with their studies may have seemed a simple gesture as both their friend and co-manager. On the inside, however, you really were more than happy to have everyone over for whatever reason. It left you with a feeling of awe. The last thing you would’ve expected 3 months ago was to be sitting in your new home in Japan, surrounded by a group of people who accepted you despite your poor Japanese and late appearance to Karasuno. Just 4 months ago, after you learned about your parent/guardian’s job transfer to Japan, you were left feeling an array of mixed feelings:
Anxiety – a whole new country? With a language you could barely even speak or understand? How was that going to work? Could you even make friends at school? God knows how long it took you to make the friends you have now.
Disappointment – you were looking forward to graduating high school with the friends you’ve made throughout the past few years. Having to say goodbye would be difficult, and you’d miss them.
Yet, you felt a sliver of hopefulness – new experiences were waiting for you. You had the opportunity to lead a new life in a foreign place. It filled you both with fear and exhilaration.
On the night before your first day at Karasuno, you could barely sleep after spending hours religiously practicing how to introduce yourself in Japanese. Having to introduce yourself to the class and speaking with your new classmates was inevitable, after all. And so the next day, you found yourself standing in front of the classroom, trying to suppress the nervous shudder that threatened to rack your body and ignore the prickles of sweat on your palms. Despite how much you mentally recited your introduction that morning, your current situation left your mind blank, unable to conjure any words. Fueled by the awkward silence, the numerous gazes focused on you, and the growing pit of anxiety in your stomach, what came out was a quiet, jumbled form of what you intended to say.
“Hello, (y/n) (l/n). I’m (insert your original country name here). I can’t Japanese, but I hope friends. Everyone, nice to meet,” you bowed, both in respect and so that you could hide your face, which was red from embarrassment. You knew you messed up, but you pretended otherwise, hoping that nobody would point out your mistake.
You straightened up after a few moments of silence, registering the confused looks of your new classmates and feeling another stab of shame. In response to your introduction, the teacher raised her eyebrows and blinked in confusion. Then her eyes warmed, and she offered you a smile as she spoke up. “Class, this is (l/n) (y/n). She recently moved here from (insert OG country here). She’s still learning Japanese; however, her English is perfect, so I’m sure you can all learn something from each other. Please make her feel welcome. Your seat is over there, (l/n).”
Shoulders sagging, you made your way to your desk, avoiding eye contact despite the pairs of eyes that followed you to your seat. Focusing on the lecture was a struggle. Not only could you barely understand anything the teacher was saying; worries about how the rest of the day would go also flooded your mind. This was only the morning; how could you navigate your way through the halls? Ask for directions? Would you meet people? Where would you eat lunch? How could you survive?
The remainder of the classes went by gruesomely slow. Too embarrassed from your slip this morning and too shy to meet new people despite wanting to make a friend, you successfully dodged conversation with any of your classmates. You were relieved that finally lunch came by, yet that presented another problem. You weren’t sure where to go, but you were sure that you were going to eat by yourself.
After a few minutes of walking around the hallways, you settled for eating lunch in the classroom. At least it meant you didn’t have to rush to class after the bell rang. Taking a seat, you pulled out your boxed lunch and set it out in front of you. Painfully aware of how alone you must have looked, you pretended to look really interested in your meal (am i the only one or--). You poked it, broke it into pieces, then brought each sliver to your mouth and chewed slowly. If only your family had switched your phone plans earlier, then you could at least spend time scrolling the internet or lament to your friends back home about how your day was going.
Still “engrossed” in your meal, you failed to notice a figure standing in front of your desk. Only after you saw a hand situate itself on the edge of your desk did you look up.
You met the chestnut eyes of a boy. He bore a warm smile that made a small crinkle in his eyes and beauty mark. Strands of grey hair draped naturally in front of his eyes and framed the sides of his face. Despite your unease, his soft features helped to calm your racing heart and mind. He seemed a friendly person; after all, he was able to approach you.
“Hey, you’re (l/n), right? I’m Sugawara Koushi, but you can call me Suga. I’m in your class,” he introduced in pretty darn good English.
‘Man, that means he heard me this morning…’ you thought miserably. Yet, you couldn’t help but feel some relief. Perhaps you hadn’t given others or yourself much of a chance before jumping to the conclusion that you were incapable of meeting new people.
Clearing your throat, you shyly extended a hand to him in greeting. “Yes, I’m (y/n) (l/n). Call me (y/n). It’s nice to meet you, Suga,” you replied hesitantly, finally using the correct words in Japanese that you had been practicing the previous night.
Shaking your hand, his eyes widened in pleasant surprise. “Your Japanese sounds pretty good! You just moved, so you’re still learning, right? How about I help you improve that while you help me with English?”
You were about to nod eagerly in appreciation when you both overheard some snickering across the room. Two boys and a girl sat together, whispering quite loudly and sneaking oh-so-inconspicuous glances over at your desk. Taking notice that they were caught staring, they presumed to loudly munch on their meals and talk about the weather.
Suga only shot them annoyed glare and shook his head before turning his attention back to you. “Sorry, those are my… Friends.” The strain in his voice after saying that last word made you question if they really were on friendly terms.
After that day, you found yourself spending every lunch period with Suga and his other third-year friends Daichi, Asahi, and Shimizu. You initially felt unsure of how to talk to them, but after Sugawara’s efforts to include you in his circle and some reassuring words about being yourself and not letting a small, temporary language barrier hold you back from making friends, you earned a bit of confidence. While you spoke a hybrid of English and Japanese with them, you eventually managed to pick up a lot of Japanese from talking everyday, and after these few months of constant exposure, you were able to hold decent conversations. Additionally, the extra help you sought from the teaching staff allowed you to be able to keep up in class, and your instructors were understanding enough to give you some leniency on your assignments during this adjustment period.
Hanging around your new friends often, it was only a matter of time before you were introduced to the rest of Karasuno’s boys’ volleyball team. It occurred one lunch period three weeks after you first arrived, when Asahi suggested that you join some club activities. You were discouraged, however, considering that it was already halfway through the year, you didn’t know enough Japanese yet to converse with just anyone, and you were a tad shy, which made joining clubs a bit difficult. At that moment, your new friends all made eye contact with each other, then looked at you.
“Why not join our volleyball club?” Suga asked. “Shimizu could always use the help. She’s our only student manager.”
Shimizu nodded in agreement, her blue gaze soft. “Your help would be really appreciated. There’s a lot to this job, so having someone to split the work with would be relieving. You can also help me look for someone to take my place when we graduate.”
Later that day you found yourself in the gym being blocked by Sugawara, who was protecting you from two crazed boys whose collars were held back by Daichi. A ginger-haired boy looked at you with curiosity, excitedly introducing himself as Hinata and pointing out the names of the other members on the court (“This is ‘Bakageyama’ and that guy’s ‘Four-eyed Jerk Face’—").
Upon their release (which was granted only after they promised to behave), Tanaka and Noya dashed over to you, tears in their eyes as they held your hands and expressed their gratitude for your presence. “Oh, (y/n), you kind soul, helping Shimizu with the managerial work. Better yet, now we have two cute girls to support us, this is amazing!”
And that’s how you found yourself sitting with your new friends in your living room and feeling grateful for their vibrant personalities, kindness, and acceptance. You couldn’t have asked for a better batch of friends to end your year with. Though, you were most grateful to Sugawara. If not for him, the last several months of your highschool experience may have gone by miserably, with nothing special to note and no new friends to celebrate with. His gentle, understanding nature had done nothing but support you and make you feel welcome. He helped introduce you to a new, comfortable life you had trouble imagining before your arrival to Japan. He dispelled your doubts and fears, instilling in you a newfound confidence in your abilities. It certainly helped that the team was just as supportive and patient with you.
You could recount the events of the past few months that brought warmth to your heart. These people were growing on you, making you feel like you could be yourself more each day. Daichi provided you a sense of security and leadership. Asahi was empathetic, quick to detect your feelings of uneasiness and asking you if you were okay. Shimizu made sure to make you feel welcome as a friend and fellow manager, even inviting you to a café over the weekend to brainstorm ideas on recruiting a replacement (who you both later discovered to be Yachi) and try out some desserts. Tanaka and Noya tried to teach you all the Japanese curse words they knew, initially lying to you about their meanings so they could see the rest of the team’s reactions when you would blurt things out in the middle of practice (Let’s just say that Daichi, Suga, Ennoshita, and Tsukki knew whose fault this was, and Asahi was real shook hearing a string of curse words from your mouth while you sat there, no ill intent emanating from you whatsoever). Ennoshita gave you a comforting, easygoing presence. Tsukki was… Tsukki (LOL). But he could carry on a conversation, often genuinely interested whenever you talked about the culture back in (other country). And you knew he was soft. Hinata was a burst of energy, and you found his bickering with Tsukishima and Kageyama silly and quite precious. You often stayed with Yachi to toss balls to Kageyama late at night, much to his appreciation. Yachi and Yamaguchi were some of the biggest sweethearts on the team, and all you could think about was needing to protect them.
There was definitely something different in your interactions with Sugawara, though. You found yourself closest to him out of everyone. It may have been because he was the first you talked to, or maybe it was because he was one of the most easygoing people you’ve ever met. That, and you found yourself wanting to get closer to him. You wanted to know more about him.
Sugawara chuckled in response. “I suppose you’re right. We wouldn’t have made it this far without everyone,” he said softly, a tinge of fondness showing in his brown eyes. He proceeded to take out his schoolwork and pen, resting his chin in his palm as he read the words across the page of his assignment. Occasionally, you glanced over at him, admiring the way his eyebrows knit together in concentration, and how his hair brushed his cheeks whenever his head shifted in its position. How the grey tips of lashes kissed his bottom eyelids with each flutter of his chocolate hues. You even took a mental note that his lips, currently pursed in thought, were rather smooth and full in appearance.
A rogue thought about how those lips would feel against your own flitted across your mind. It brought a small pang to your chest, and you had to mentally slap yourself back into reality. You noticed these new feelings were starting to become more prevalent the longer you hung around Sugawara. You consulted your friends back home about it, and in their excitement, they insisted you had a crush on this guy (and demanded photos). Heart palpitations, heat-flooded cheeks, covert glances, and a desire for closeness in all aspects possible? All symptoms of infatuation, your personal love doctors concluded. You recalled when these signs first appeared about a month ago, after he offered to walk you home when practice had gone late into the night. Initially you declined, not wanting him to go out of his way when it was already dark outside. However, after seeing the soft look in his eyes as he declared he wanted to ensure you got home safely and that he didn’t mind the walk, your heart couldn’t help but give in and agree.
It was a tranquil night, accompanied only by the sound of crickets chirping and a cool, whispy breeze. About 15 minutes after having left campus, you were both seated on an aged bench at a small park, snacking on recent convenience store purchases to satisfy your growling stomachs. A comfortable silence settled in the air. The nightly surroundings were illuminated by the gentle glow of several nearby lampposts and stars that burned lightyears away.
Your gaze followed the tracks of a small bug crawling across the sidewalk in front of your feet. It skittered soundlessly against the pavement, eventually disappearing in the security of a bush. A gentle sigh took hold of your attention, and your eyes flickered over to your friend, who was peering up at the star-dusted evening sky.
“Do you know what you’re doing after graduation?” he asked, a hint of wonder in his voice.
You shook your head. “No clue, to be honest. You?”
He pursed his lips and took a sidelong glance at you before focusing back upwards. “Well, I’ve always wanted to be a teacher…”
“Seems fitting. Your Japanese lessons have been really helpful,” you pointed out, smiling.
The tips of his lips curved upwards as well. “Really? I’m glad. You’ve improved a lot, too. You’re a quick learner.”
“Heh, well I couldn’t have done it without you.”
Another comfortable silence fell upon you two before he spoke again. “I was thinking about how to keep in touch with everyone after we left, and how it’s a shame we’re leaving so soon after you arrived. I would’ve liked to know you better, too, but there’s only a few months left...”
His genuine words left a rosy tinge on your cheeks. As you were thinking of a response, you looked down, noticing how close your hand lay next to his. Heartrate quickening, you stammered, “Y-Yeah, I wish we had more time, too.. T-To hang around each other, I mean. But graduation doesn’t have to mean goodbye, right?”
“That’s true... You always know just what to say, you know that, (y/n)?” he turned his gaze on you and held out an extended pinky. “Promise to talk to me after graduating, then?”
You rolled your eyes playfully and huffed in amusement. Taking your own pinky and intertwining it with his, you nodded. “So long as you keep your end of the promise, too.”
“Of course.”
Sugawara’s voice brought you out of your momentary flashback. “(Y/n)? Can I ask you a question?”
Blinking your previous thoughts away and calming the warmth on your cheeks, you responded, “What’s up?”
He slid his assignment closer to you, pointing at a section he was having trouble with. “Here. I’m not sure if I’m doing this correctly..”
You leaned in, scooching towards him and closing in on the gap between you. Focused on the homework, you failed to notice how the brush of your shoulders made Sugawara’s body stiffen slightly. With your proximity, your scent easily wafted to his nose, and he could observe the closer details of your appearance. The hair tucked behind your ear exposed your cheekbone, looking soft to the touch. Your determined hues scanned the page, and he could visualize your thinking through your small, occasional self-nods. You looked cute and comfortable in the casual hoodie you wore, bringing him a strange, mixed sense of bashfulness and ease. His mind wandered, trying to envision how you would look if you wore any of his jackets, but his thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of your sweet voice and scribbles against paper.
“It sounds great, Suga! I just made a note there on how you can fix it; otherwise, it should be okay,” you gave him a reassuring smile as you slid his work back to him. You, however, didn’t shift back to your original position and instead stayed seated mere inches from the boy. Not that he minded, but…
“O-Oh, alright, thanks!”
It made concentrating during the rest of the study session a little difficult.
Occasionally you did get up, helping mostly the first and second years with some of their English assignments. His eyes would secretly (but c’mon, everyone but Hinata and Kageyama could tell) follow your figure, admiring the way you looked as you interacted happily with the others and did whatever you could to assist them. Yet you always returned to the same spot, near Suga. Close enough that everyone else on the team took notice (if they haven’t already), relayed the information via mental telephone, and secretly agreed to depart a bit earlier than they had anticipated.
“Oh, you guys are leaving already?” you asked everyone as they were packing up their belongings.
They all nodded in response, offering up their reasons for leaving earlier than the original time you set, which ranged from, “My parents wanted me home for dinner” to “My sister’s wasted and locked out of the house, nobody’s home—” (u good der Saeko)
Standing at your doorway, you waved to your friends, sending them off with a “I’ll see you at school!” as they waved back and filed out of your home. Looking over to Suga, who was still standing beside you, you wondered, “Oh, you’re staying?”
“Oh, yeah! I was surprised to see everyone leave so soon, but I was planning to head home in another hour. B-But I can go now if you need me to..!” he answered a bit shakily, waving around his hands in small, bashful gestures.
You shook your head and you waved your hand dismissively. “It’s okay, you’re more than welcome to stay for however long you need to.”
Settled back in the common area, you both tried to resume your schoolwork, but to no avail. Groaning, you leaned back, using your arms to support you from behind. “I’m tired of workingggggg.”
He sighed in agreement, resting an elbow on the table and propping up his head in a closed fist. “Same. Do you want to do something else?”
“Hmm..” you pondered aloud. “Do you want to see my room?”
Shrugging and responding with a “why not?”, you both stood up, leaving the common area to go to your room. You opened the door and stepped inside, Suga closely trailing behind you.
“Welcome to my room. Make yourself cozy,” you insisted as you sat on your bed and pat the spot next to you. He took your offer, taking a seat beside you and looking around your bedroom in curiosity.
“Something about this place really seems like you, (y/n).”
You raised an eyebrow at his comment. “Is it the messy pile of clothes in that basket or the neat desk I cleaned up this morning?”
He chuckled and shook his head. “I suppose you could say those are part of it. I just meant there’s a lot to you that you should feel comfortable sharing with others. People are complex and there’s so many sides to a person we discover along the way. I remember how timid you were in our first weeks of knowing each other, and now you’re getting along great with everyone and work hard to improve everyday. You were able to overcome a stressful repeat of entering highschool, but this time in another country, and adapted just fine! Your kindness and determination is admirable.”
Twiddling with your fingers, you felt a sheepish grin form on your face. “Aha, you’re too kind, Suga. You know I couldn’t have made these friends or adjust so well without your help. I was too worried about talking to anyone until you came up to me, so… Thank you.”
You risked a glance towards the boy, finding his chocolate gaze already set on you. If none of your interactions in the past month had set your heart ablaze, then certainly this moment would take the cake. Sugawara’s eyes flickered downwards briefly in a moment of hesitance, then locked again onto yours with a hint of an undetectable emotion lurking behind those irises. Neither of you could bring up any words to say. The only sounds present were the soft hums of your breathing and the low creak of your bed as you found yourselves shifting your weight in order to inch closer to one another.
His mind flooded with a cacophony of emotions, from crippling nervousness to an allure for risk-taking. He could barely come to terms with the current situation and what might happen. Maybe he was overthinking it. Surely being this close face-to-face with someone who you just happen to like doesn’t automatically mean they like you back and want to kiss you just as much. Perhaps you were just leaning in to rest your head on his shoulder; after all, you did seem tired from the events of today. Or, you were scooting close for a better look at his face so you could point out, “hey, you got a little something on your face.” Perhaps a crumb from the cracker he had earlier?
But when he took note of the way your eyes fluttered shut, eyelashes caressing the tops of your dusted cheeks, his doubts began to waver. Maybe this was the chance he’s been seeking out lately. Once Daichi deciphered Sugawara’s affections for you, eventually the whole team found out and began to silently root for him. Thankfully, despite their blatant attempts to help him out, you hadn’t noticed a thing. It made him wonder whether you were oblivious, or just didn’t like him, or both. However, in this moment, when it appeared as though maybe you returned his feelings, he felt he should—as Tanaka would say—shoot his shot.
A sudden knock on the door sent you both jumping 5 feet away from each other. Frazzled and wide-eyed, you choked out a weak, “H-Hello?” in response to the interruption. The door opened, revealing your parent/guardian, who peeked inside.
“Dinner’s ready. Would you like to stay and have it with us?” they were asking Suga.
Heart still racing from the fear that gripped it, he blinked in surprise. He piped out a polite no thank you, reasoning that he didn’t want to intrude.
“Nonsense, we’re happy to have you. Come soon.”
They closed the door and left, leaving you two in an awkward silence that was soon interrupted by the sound of your cough. “We should, uh, get going…”
Standing up, you reached for the door with Suga in tow. The tension in the air remained between the two of you throughout dinner. Nevertheless, Sugawara was able to leave a good impression on your family by being a good conversationalist, even earning a few laughs from your parent/guardian. It made your heart swell at how natural it was for him to be able to get along with others.
After dinner ended and he packed his things, you stepped outside with him to send him off, closing the door behind you. He was about to salute you with a “thanks for having me over” when you gave him a peck on the cheek so sudden that he didn’t have time to react before you were already making your way back into your house.
“Thanks for coming, Suga! I’ll see you at school! Let me know when you get home!” you exclaimed animatedly, shutting the door quickly to hide your embarrassment from your sudden actions. You leaned your back against it, instantly regretting what you did with tightly shut eyes. ‘Oh gawd how am I gonna face him at school tomorrow dhefjkg.’
But on the other side of the door, Suga stood dumbfounded, hovering a hand over the area your lips had touch. Though highly embarrassed, he felt a rush of elation pass over him like a humongous wave that never stopped crashing against the shores.
He was starting to really think it was a good idea to introduce himself to the cute new girl in class. Nice one, Suga.

I'll Always Protect the People I Love
I really couldn't tell you how it happened, one minute I was hanging up washing on the line and the next I was on the ground in a load of pain. It had been one of those days, you know the ones where everything goes wrong? First I woke up late and missed an important virtual meeting, then I somehow managed to knock over a massive glass of water, the contents going absolutely everywhere. All over my bedside table, my phone (luckily it was waterproof) and several important pieces of paper which I'd been reading for the very meeting I had missed.
Maybe this was the universe's way of telling me I shouldn't have even bothered with today? Maybe I'd have been better if I had stayed in bed. One thing was for sure, I'd be in less pain right now.The only good thing was that my husband who usually worked as a doctor in the local hospital's E.D had taken an annual leave day to get the filing done which he'd gotten behind on.
"Crap," I hissed as I lifted my arm to inspect the massive scrape that had resulted from the fall.
Everything hurt, my arm, my legs which I could see from the droplets of blood falling onto the concrete had also copped a nasty whack, even my side hurt. I could feel myself getting nauseous at the sight of the blood, I'd never been any good at anything to do with medical stuff, it just made me want to vomit. What Shawn got from it, I wasn't sure, but he was passinate about medicine and was always so good. Not only at solving the actual issue at hand, but at making connections with his patients,at gaining their trust.
I tried to stay calm, to take a few deep breaths, but I could feel my composure crumbling as all the day's events caught up to me.
"Shawn!" I called out, voice shaking with the effort of trying to hold back tears. "Shawn," I shouted a little louder when there was no response. Finally I was met with the sound of his footsteps on the stairs.
"April, what's the matter, I was in the middle of a -" he stopped dead in the middle of the yard when he saw me.
"What happened?" he asked, recovering his composure quickly and rushing over to me.
"I tripped," I sniffled, as he bent down, noticing the blood on my hands and knees, and the way I was holding my aching side.
"I can see that baby," he spoke softly, lifting the hem of my dress up just enough to see how far up the wound was.
"This looks nasty and sore," he commented, pouting, causing me to whimper. That was the last thing I wanted to hear, especially from him, someone who spent his days seeing gross wounds and abbrassions.
"It hurts," I cried reaching for him out of habit, only to have my hands sting in protest. I couldn't help the tears that came steadily now, rolling down my face and clouding my vision.
"Oh, honey, please don't cry," he shushed me, reaching up to wipe them away. "It's okay, I'll fix you up, I promise,"
"I'm sorry for being a cry-baby," I muttered scrubbing at my tears with the back of my hand.
"You're not a cry-baby Honey, you've just had a tough day is all," he replied, pressing a kiss to my forehead. I sat there for a minute forgetting the pain, just resting my head against his chest, letting him hold me. He was the one person in the world, who could always make things better.
"Alright Princess, do you think you can stand up?" he asked, taking hold of my upper arms, supporting most of my weight. I stood slowly,my entire body felt as if it was simultaneously being set on fire and hit by a truck.
We made our way inside. Slowly. Incredibly slowly, but Shawn was patient as I hobbled along beside him.
"Here, sit down here," he told me, helping me onto one of the dining room chairs.
"But what about the blood?" I pointed to the blood which was still flowing slowly from several of the wounds.
"It's okay, the chairs can be cleaned," he replied clearly unphased."I'm going to get the first aid kit, stay there," he told me.
"Not like I can go anywhere," I retorted making him laughed as he ran off in the direction of the bathroom.
He came running back less than a minute later, "I'm okay Shawn," I laughed, going to lean back in the chair, but the contact caused the grazes on my back to sting furiously. "Ah," I hissed, leaning forward again.
"Yeah, you look fine," Shawn sassed back, placing the large box of medical supplies on the ground and opening it. It was overwhelming just looking at all the different things. I had no idea how Shawn knew what he was doing, but he obviously did, because he pulled about 5 different things out, before looking up at me.
"Alright sweets,I'm going to wipe off your hands and knees first,it might sting a bit, just tell me if it gets too much and I'll stop okay?" he told, looking up at me as he pulled the wrapper off an antiseptic wipe and gently wiped it across my left knee.
"Ahh," I hissed, fresh tears coming to my eyes,my hand flying to his, stopping him from what he was doing.
"I know it hurts baby," he moved his other hand up to rest on my thigh comfortingly. "But if we don't get this all cleaned up then you risk getting an infection, who knows what sort of stuff has been on that ground, especially with Tarzan out there now,"
At the sound of his name Tarzan came running, tentatively putting one paw up on my lap.
"Aw, Tarzan, good boy, you come to look after Mummy hey, you know she's sad," he cooed, wiping my knee again. It hurt as much as the last time, but I tried to stay still and let Shawn do what he needed to.
"And I'm done," Shawn smiled five minutes later, stepping back from your hands as he gave them one last wipe.
I sighed, feeling relieved, but then I remembered he still had to deal with my side and back, and I knew that would be worse that both my hands and my knees. I'd really done a number on myself there, having landed with most of my weight in that one area.
"I think we're probably better off going to the bathroom for your side, from what I saw outside I'll need to give it a proper rinse out before I do anything with it," he spoke, causing me to groan.
"I know honey, but I promise once I've dealt with it you're all done then how about we have snuggles on the couch and other a take out?" We didn't often get to spend a truly lazy night together with both of our jobs being as crazy as they were.
Really?" I asked, smiling properly for the first time all day.
"Really," he smiled back "Work can wait till tomorrow, my poor invalid baby is more important," he pouted, causing me to laugh, as he helped me to the bathroom.
"That's my favourite sound you know," he told me as he helped me undress and get situated in the tub so he could use the detachable head to wash out the wound.
I smiled, feeling suddenly shy, even after being married for a year, and together for 4 he still had that effect on me.
He spent a few more minutes getting everything set up, towels, bandages, antiseptic wash, tweezers, before he finally turned the water on low, being careful not to get any water on the wounds he'd just dressed.
"Can you turn around for me April?" he asked, helping me to maneuver my body the way he needed it."I'm going to start washing it out now baby, there's a fair bit of dirt and crap caked in there so I'll need to give it a good rinse out. Do you wanna hold my hand?" he offered, extending the hand he wasn't using which I took immediately. "Ready?" he asked. I nodded squeezing my eyes shut in anticipation.
As soon as the water hit it, my whole side felt like it was on fire, the tears that I had managed to hold at bay until now, flowing freely. "I know Princess," he soothed, "One more minute okay," I nodded, opening my eyes, watching as he skillfully flushed the wound. "Can you arch your back for me a bit?" he asked stopping the water momentarily. I did what he asked, leaning over, seeing for the first time just how much blood was coming from me. The bathtub had streams of red water that just seemed to keep coming.
"Shawn," I squeeked, the blood.
"It's okay, Honey,I promise you it looks way worse than it actually is," he tried to console me continuing to work on my wound. I sat there, like I had outside trying not to focus on it, but I could feel the familiar twist of my stomach as he nausea set in,waves of dizziness washing over me like the water.
"Shawn, I-Im going to be sick," I gasped, holding my bandaged hand over my mouth. He was quick to act, switching off the water immediately, and reaching for the trash can that sat next to the toilet, holding it under my chin.
"Deep breaths, April," he spoke softly, pushing some of the hair that had fallen into my eyes out the way.
"You must think I'm such a whimp," I groaned, head still over the bin as I tried and failed to take steady breaths.
"Not at all," he promised, "You're just not good with blood, lots of people are like that, hey, at least you haven't fainted," he laughed trying to lighten the mood a bit.
"I feel like I'm going to," I whispered.
"It's okay, just breathe, that's it, nice long breathes," he coached still holding the bin patiently.
Finally after five minutes of sitting like that, the feeling started to lessen and I was able to sit up again. I must have looked like a complete mess, because the look of pity on Shawn's face was ridiculous.
"Feeling better?" he asked as he placed the bin down beside him and took my hand.
I nodded still not entirely trusting myself.
"Ready to get out and I'll fix the rest up out on the couch?" he asked offering me his hand again.
I nodded again, allowing him help me out of the bath and wrap a towel around my body.
We made our way back to the loving room slowly where he deposited me onto the couch, before running back to get the things he needed from the bathroom.
"How bad is it?" I asked, as he sat down beside me.
"I've seen better I've seen worse, it's not as bad as it probably feels though," he added in sympathy.
"What do you need to do?" I asked, turning to look at him. He frowned, obviously weighing up whether to tell me or of it was better to keep me in the dark.
"I need to get this gravel outta the wound before I dress it," he answered carefully. "Why don't you turn the T.V. on while I work?" he suggested quickly when he saw my face fall. He grabbed the remote off the table and handed it to me.
"What do you want to watch?" I asked when the screen came on.
"Whatever you wanna watch babe, I'll be focussed on this."
I nodded, turning on Once Upon A Time, immediately being pulled into the fantasy. The story helping to distract me. He kept a hand on my good shoulder the whole time he worked, occasionally squeezing it when I let out a whimper at a particularly sore spot.
"All done," he announced as he stuck the adhesive strip down half an hour later.
"Really?" I asked, turning to see he was indeed done, already in the process of picking up all the trash, going to dispose of it safely in the bin.
When he came back he had a glass of water, a bottle of Tylenol and an ice-pack in his hands.
"Here babe, take these,it should help with some of the pain," he spoke, coming around the couch to hand them to me, before sitting down next to me.
"What's the ice-pack for?"
"For your back, it'll help to stop the bruising," he lifted me onto his lap confusing me slightly.
"Won't you be cold?" I questioned as he placed the ice-pack between my back and his chest, pulling me back
"I could never be cold with you around baby," he murmured kissing my head, leaning back into the sofa.
"Thank you for looking after me," I spoke after a few minutes of comfortable quiet in which we were both focussed on the television.
"Of course baby," he replied, running a hand gently through my scalp. "I'll always protect the people I love."

Jujutsu Kaisen Christmas!!
jjk headcanon!
characters: every character introduced in the anime so far! and you of course hehe
plot: everyone is invited to jujutsu tech for a christmas party, including the unidentified special grade curses that have the ability to talk but... ITS CHRISTMAS.
as you guys were preparing for the party in the function room, panda kept trying to eat all the snacks so nobara had kept trying to hold him back (to no avail because she eventually got crushed underneath him)
gojo... was nowhere to be found OBVIOUSLY and the curses gang were just chilling outside. you were lowkey praying that jogo wouldnt set anything on fire before the party even started.
megumi was just hanging around with itadori and junpei, playing with his gyokuken (divine dogs) [honestly wouldnt that just be so cute]
you, maki-san and mai-san were busy setting up everything and also having small chit chats here and there.
since gojo wasnt there yet, ijichi-san was everywhere, both panicking and pissed since gojo was NEVER on time no matter what the event was.
nanami couldnt be bothered anymore to settle the situation so he was quietly reading at one corner.
inumaki was just vibing to the christmas music playing in the background with panda after wrestling with nobara.
before the party started, a very popular christmas song that was trending on vikvok started playing, being the great senpai he is, todo dragged itadori to the middle of the room to start dancing with him alongside inumaki and panda.
it was already around 7.30pm and gojo wasnt there yet so yall just decided to start without him to not waste anytime
everyone gathered around the table that had food on it, “LETS EAT IM STARVING” jogo suddenly screamed in the room with his fire coming out of almost every hole in his head.
“now now, jogo, be patient.” mahito calmly cooled down jogo to prevent the fire hazard from creating havoc during the party.
“who thought it was a good idea to invite the curses here...” megumi sighed as he shot eye darts at junpei, which junpei completely avoided.
“c’mon!, the more the merrier!” you said as you thought that they really shouldn’t have come, but it was all the make junpei happy so...
as the party started, everyone was just going around getting food. everything was smooth sailing until... itadori suddenly spreads cake icing over megumi... yeah megumi was both pissed and confused at the same time so he chased itadori around the table. itadori was laughing his ass off while he had a raging megumi chasing after him. thankfully the food was fine so all is good so far.
after about AN HOUR, gojo finally shows up. “hey guys! what did i miss?” gojo said cheerfully. however, a dark ominous shadow appeared behind him and whacked his head so hard it made the whole room go silent.
“not even an apology?” nanami reprimanded gojo while staring down at him.
since an hour has passed, it was already time for the next thing on the agenda so gojo didnt even have time to eat the moment he arrived, he was okay nonetheless.
Game time!
the first game was something like blinfold elimination? im not too sure about the name. the way to play is:
two members of the team are blindfolded and is waiting outside a ring that has balls scattered everywhere
in order to win, the two blindfolded team members have to eliminate the other teams blindfolded members by finding a ball and throwing it at them
however, since they cannot take of their blindfold, the remaining team members will have to guide them to find the balls and help them to tell them roughly where and when they should throw the ball.
the non-blindfolded team members are not allowed to throw the balls and use their cursed energy.
the rules were fairly simple so yall split yourselves into 4 teams.
the 8 blindfolded people were itadori and inumaki, panda and aoi, mahito and mai, nanami (he was dragged into it) and nobara.
you were on mahito and mai’s team so you decided to just guide mai along since you were a lottle uncomfortable with mahito. jogo was there for him anyways and they make a better team.
gojo started the game by screaming and suddenly the room was filled with desperate screams to get the ball.
balls were flying everywhere and people were already crying of laughter because of the scene.
itadori kept scurrying along the floor like an insect which made everyone laugh but he couldn’t be hit no matter what.
as time passed by, more and more people got eliminated, including mai-san and the only people left were nanami and mahito. (oooo the matchup)
the rest were frantically screaming everywhere that they should go and throw in a certain direction.
it felt so tense yet so fun at the same time so it was pretty enjoyable to watch.
finally nanami hit mahito with the ball and the game was over. “good game, jujutsu sorcerer” mahito said in defeat while shaking his hand. “i only do what im supposed to” nanami nonchalantly replied as both enemies walked away from each other
the game took WAY longer than expected so it was time for the exchange gifts!
Exchange Gift time!!
yayy its exchange gift timee.
everyone gathered together and sat in a circle in the large empty space of the room with their gifts in hand.
“okay! lets all pass around the gifts until the music stops!” you announced as you started the music.
all the gifts were just travelling everywhere in very different directions including across the room.
you stopped the music and everyone made sure that they each had a gift in hand.
all of you took turns opening up the gifts and there were actually some pretty funny ones. by a huge coincidence itadori got a sukuna finger cake that was made by mai-san. it didnt look the best but.... hey the effort counts.
you opened up your gift and you found a keychain of megumis divine dogs. you guessed that it was from him and to no surprise it was. you found it so cute you immediately attached it onto your bag.
after opening your gift you proceeded to just watch the others open theirs. some of them were quite ridiculous as mahito got a hanger and jogo got a can opener.
it soon came down to the last person nanami so he opened up his gift slowly, he tore one side open, peeked inside, and immediately closed it. “whoever bought this gift must be very childish...” he said in disappointment
itadori ran towards him and ripped open the present and realised, it was a maids outfit.
everyone burst into laughter just imagining nanami in a maids outfit. “h-hey! who gave him that HAHAHAHA” itadori asked as he was rolling on the floor with his hands over his stomach.
gojo slowly raised his hand up and was already at the door, ready to escape.
nanami slowly rised, “please excuse me” he said calmly and he bolted out the door to chase gojo
that sight made everyone laigh even more until they had no more energy to laugh.
by the time they returned with gojo semi beat up, everyone was so out of energy and just lying down on the floor while listening to christmas music play in the background.
“should we pack up now? its also quite late” panda asked and everyone nodded in agreement.
everyone helped to pack up the remaining food and clean up the place before leaving.
once the whole place was clean, everyone siad their goodbyes and left in different directions.
andd there it is! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! hope you guys enjoyed this and i also hope you have a fun time with your families today! hopefully you get the gifts you want too HAHA. i may or may not post on new year’s but ill try if i can. ill be quite busy starting 2021 since thats when school starts, ew, but ill still try my best to post every now and then so please forgive me if im inactive! anywho, besides all that, please stay safe and have a merry christmas and a happy new year yalls! see you guys soon!!

It’s the tail end of the night shift when she sees him, although the first time is fleeting. Fleeting, but not irrelevant.
He’s flanked by six guards from the prison. He looks like he’s in pain, and quite a lot of it. He’s wheeled in on a hospital bed to room 119 and she watches from the reception desk as he and his entourage of prison guards pass her by in almost slow motion.
“What timing,” Lavender said with a cheeky grin, “Your shift just ended. You’ll miss out on all the fun.”
“Your idea of fun,” Hermione corrected, completing her chart for the night, “My idea of fun involves going home, having breakfast with my daughter, taking her to school, and going to sleep,” She put her pen down and smiled in the face of Lavender’s pout, “But enjoy the day shift with the clearly dangerous criminal.”
“Tell Rose I said hi,” Lavender said.
Hermione went home and did exactly as she said she would. She paid the babysitter, laid down in Rose’s bed for a moment before gently waking her. She smiled at her 3-year-old daughter across bowls of cheerios and listened to her talk about what she dreamt about the night before. Then she dressed Rose, brought her to pre-school, kissed her goodbye, and returned home. She fell asleep in her scrubs, and didn’t dream about the man flanked by prison guards.
–
Hermione worked nights for a few reasons. The biggest one was the amount of time she got to spend with her daughter - she could always skimp on sleep to spend more time with Rose, but she couldn’t exactly skip work, and if she only worked while Rose was sleeping (save for a few precious hours at night) it meant she would never need to miss a school play, a birthday party, pancakes on sundays, or pillow forts in their living room. She could see all of that.
Nights were quieter too. No visitors, some patients slept but some didn’t, Lavender only worked day shifts so Hermione only ever saw her for an hour at most if their shifts overlapped which was about as much of Lavender as she could take. And no visitors, god Hermione hated visitors.
She worked 3 nights a week, sometimes 4 if she needed the money and they had an overtime shift for her. She was always tired, always a bit stressed, and her hair had never looked worse than it did in motherhood, but it was all worth it for the time she got to spend with her daughter.
She had to remember that, when she had nights like this one.
“Apparently he hasn’t urinated in a week,” Neville said, “He had a pretty severe blatter infection and sepsis but is steadily getting better,”
“Why hadn’t he urinated?” Hermione asked, and Neville shrugged.
“They think it might be an escape plan, so uh,” he none-too-subtly leaned to the side to peer at the guards outside room 119, “They’re keeping an eye on him.”
“How is he?” She asked.
“Horrible,” He answered, “Right bastard, gave Lavender hell all day on his first day in, didn’t sleep all night, then we gave him to Minerva–”
“Well, surely she set him straight,” Hermione interjected.
Neville laughed, but there was no humor in it, “Yeah well, she handled it fine, but she also said if we give him to her as a patient again she’s going to retire.”
“Shit,” Hermione sighed. She thought of Rose, asleep in her bed and thought of seeing her in the morning and waking her up for breakfast, “So naturally you give him to me.”
“Well,” He shrugged, looking sheepish, “It was either you or me, so…”
“So you sweet-talked the charge nurse into giving you an easy night?” Hermione quirked a brow and Neville just grinned. Hermione sighed, picked up the chart, and turned to face Room 119.
There were only two guards now, not six, and they nodded at her as she entered.
Tom Riddle sat on the bed in a room of his own, he looked pale, with dark circles under his eyes, and he fixed his eyes disconcertingly on her the moment she stepped through the door.
“My name is Hermione,” She said, putting gloves on at the door, “I’ll be your nurse tonight.”
“Is that so?” He asked. His voice was deep, but gravelly. He must be exhausted, she thought, if he truly hadn’t slept since he arrived.
“How are you feeling?” She asked, but before he could answer she added, “I hear you haven’t slept since–”
“How can I sleep?” He cut her off, “Sitting in a hospital bed with a new nurse every few hours asking me the same inane questions?”
Hermione paused, observed him for a moment. She had dealt with plenty of difficult patients, was used to biting her tongue and slapping a smile on her face. He kept staring at her with dark eyes, his jaw clenched, and she knew what she was in for.
“Well, Mr. Riddle,” Hermione said with a smile, “I will endeavor not to ask the same inane questions, then.” She stepped closer, made a vague gesture in his direction and asked, “May I?”
He was receiving fluids, antibiotics, seemed stable, she just needed to check his blood pressure to be sure. The fact that he obviously hadn’t slept wasn’t a good sign and certainly wouldn’t help in his recovery. He nodded once, tersely, and she glanced back at the guards at the door.
“Is it because of the guards that you won’t sleep?” She asked as she took his blood pressure. His brow twitched, but he didn’t look away from her face.
“If I said yes, would you take them away?” He asked her. She looked up from her work to meet his eye and tried to figure out if he was making a joke.
Either way she laughed, shook her head, and said, “I think we would both love that, but no, unfortunately not.”
His blood pressure was low, but according to his chart improving. It would probably help if he slept. She met his gaze, he was still watching her. “Your blood pressure is low.” She told him, “You should sleep.”
“I should sleep?” He echoed, his brow rose like he was talking down to a child, “Close my eyes, and dream?” He looked almost crazed, she thought. She wasn’t sure if that was the lack of sleep, the time he spent in prison, or maybe it was just who he was. Either way, she didn’t move - it was always better not to react when a patient became angry. “Let the medication take effect, while the rest of you skirt around me like an animal in cage–”
“Sir–” She interjected, but he spoke over her.
“While men with guns fantasize about the possibility of turning those very guns on me while I sleep and while I continue to be denied visitors that I would typically be allowed to see simply because I am unwell–” She sighed and made to move away as he worked himself up, but he grabbed her arm. She met his eyes again “–Don’t pretend to be concerned for my health, nurse,” He spat, “Shut your mouth, treat me, and keep your inane thoughts to yourself, lest I lose my temper.”
“Hey!” A guard from the door called, took a step into the room. Hermione held out a hand to stop him, “Miss–”
“Please let me do my job!” She said, turning to hold a hand out more firmly against the guard at the door. He hesitated, shifted his weight on his feet. “Return to your post, please.”
The guard very pointedly looked at the place where Mr. Riddle’s hand was on her arm. Hermione looked at that same hand, then back at the guard, and she hoped she was communicating every ounce of annoyance she felt in that stare.
The guard returned to his post.
Hermione’s gently pried Tom Riddle’s fingers from her arm. “It was merely a suggestion,” She said and met his eyes with a smile, “Stay awake if you wish.”
He was stable, so she turned to leave the room. The guard stopped her at the door. “Hey, uh–” He said, glancing into the room and back at her, “Could I get a sandwich?”
She looked him up and down.
“It’s just, we’ve been here all day, I’m pretty hungry.”
“No,” She snapped, “We don’t give sandwiches to the guards, they’re for the patients.”
“Well, he’s not going to eat it.” He said, gesturing toward Room 119 with his head. Hermione, taken aback, glanced into the room and saw Mr. Riddle’s eyes fixed on her before she looks back at the guard.
“Don’t ask me again,” She said, and walked away.
–
That night, she had Mr. Riddle with the temper and the armed guards, Mrs. Sprout with the lovely disposition recovering from a severe allergic reaction, and Mr. Crouch the drug seeker in the hospital for a broken leg who wouldn’t stop screaming for opiates, and Mr. Riddle’s stupid fucking guard who kept asking her for sandwiches.
It was a long night.
“What is he in for, anyway?” Padma asked, looking toward Hermione for an answer. She didn’t have to specify who - obviously she meant the one with the guards. Hermione shrugged - she really didn’t know.
“Like everything.” Neville said, pouring himself a coffee while Padma patiently awaited her cup. “He’s in jail for life for everything from selling weed to killing people and chopping them up.”
“No way,” Padma said.
“Yes way,” Neville took a sip from his coffee and shrugged, “You heard about him - he went by Voldemort.”
Padma gasped, turned and faced Hermione with wide eyes and a wide-open mouth, “Hermione, you’re treating Voldemort,”
“I’m treating a very irritable prison patient” Hermione corrected, “And not for the first time.”
“He was all over the news last year!” Padma said, clearly distressed, “He’s crazy - and I heard he didn’t piss for a week to be sent here, this is probably all his plan or–”
“Padma, drop it.” Hermione snapped. “There are two guards outside his room, a guard at the lifts, a guard at each stairwell and at the front entrance of the hospital. Mr. Riddle is in a hospital bed recovering from sepsis.” She stood up, “I suggest we all stop panicking and help him to recover, like it’s our job to do.”
She left the break room and glanced toward Room 119 and saw only one guard.
“Excuse me!” She called, hurrying toward the singular guard, “Excuse me,” She said again, peeking into the room. Mr. Riddle was still awake, watching her as she appeared in the doorway. She looked at the guard, “Where the hell is the other one?”
“Miss, please calm down.” The guard said.
“Where is he?” She asked again, “Where has he gone - doesn’t he have a job to do?”
“He stepped away for a moment.”
“Stepped away where?” She demanded.
“Calm down, nurse,” A voice said, and she turned her head to see the guard approaching with a sandwich in his hand.
“Where did you get that?” She asked quietly, a familiar feeling of annoyance mixed with rage in her chest, the kind that only comes after a long night of work on very little sleep.
“The vending machine downstairs.” He said, shrugging. He started to open the package, but Hermione snatched it out of his hands.
“This nurse has a name,” She said, “It’s Hermione Granger, and I expect you to use it. And no one,” She lifted the sandwich to eye level, right in his face, “Is going to be eating any sandwiches here except for Mr. Riddle, as he is the patient. The rest of us will do our jobs and eat when we’re done.”
The guard laughed, “Okay, okay, just give me back the–” He reached for it and she snatched it away. His smile fell off his face.
She marched into the room, tearing open the package and thrusting it toward Mr. Riddle in his bed.
“He doesn’t want it!” The Guard protested.
“Yes he does,” Hermione snapped, and turned back toward Mr. Riddle in the bed, who was staring oddly at her. “Don’t you, Mr Riddle?”
He just stared at her. She thought maybe he would have another temper tantrum and start yelling. “Take it,” She encouraged gently, “Please.”
To her surprise, he did. He took the sandwich and took a bite, watching her all the while.
She smiled.
“There,” She said, turning back toward the guard, “Don’t leave your post again or I will inform your superior.”
She left the room, grateful that Mr. Riddle didn’t have another one of his outbursts this time.
Her shift was nearly over anyway.
–
When she returned home, she laid down in Rose’s bed minutes before she was meant to wake.
“Mummy?” Rose murmured.
“Good morning,” Hermione whispered.
“I dreamed you were a kangaroo.” Rose said. Hermione laughed.
“Were you a Joey?” Hermioned asked.
“No,” She said, “I’m a Rose.”
Hermione laughed again, “A Joey is a baby kangaroo,” She explained.
“Oh,” Rose said, and then, “Can we have cheerios?”
Hermione loved these moments more than anything.
She watched Rose over bowls of Cheerios again. She would gladly spend every morning, every moment like this. She thought of the loneliness she felt when she first found out she was pregnant, the boundless love she felt when she held her in her arms for the first time, the feeling in her chest like she was going to explode with happiness when the nurse handed over her baby, wrapped in a white blanket.
She dreamed of a life where she could have this always, no interruptions.
–
She returned to work the next night.
“Why the hell do I have Riddle again?” She asked when she looked at the assignments for the night. Lavender was there, the tail end of her shift, and she raised her eyebrows and looked away. “What?” Hermione pressed.
Minerve spoke up, “He asked for you.”
“He what?” Hermione balked.
“Fucking screamed about it,” Lavender muttered, “I tried to bring him something to help him sleep and he slapped it out of my hand and said he wouldn’t take anything from the hand of a whore.”
“He said what?”
“He’s crazy,” Lavender said, “Fucking crazy, good luck Hermione, you’ll need it.”
And she left like that, clearly furious. Hermione looked to Minerva, but Minerva said nothing, simply raised her eyebrows in the way she always did and left to start her rounds.
The guards outside the room were different than the night before. They nodded to her as she entered. Mr Riddle watched her, looking more tired than ever.
“Miss Granger,” He greeted.
“Mr. Riddle,” Hermione replied, smiling, “I heard you were asking for me.”
“You’re my favorite nurse.” He said.
“Already?” Hermione asked, “Well, it sounds like you aren’t giving anyone else much of a chance.”
“I liked seeing you with McLaggen yesterday.” He said. Hermione wasn’t sure what he meant, and that must have shown on her face, because he said, “The guard.”
“Ah,” She nodded, and added, “You know, this version of you doesn’t exactly match up with the man who apparently slapped medication out of a nurse’s hand and called her a whore.”
“That nurse,” Riddle said as Hermione read over his chart and set about checking his vitals, “goes between speaking to me like I’m a child, and speaking to me like I’m a war criminal.”
“Sometimes you act like both,” Hermione said.
Mr. Riddle snapped his eyes to meet hers, and it took that for her to realize he finally hadn’t been staring at her. But he was now. Hermione blinked, and then realized what she just said.
“I hope you won’t start slapping me and calling me a whore.” She said, a poor attempt at a joke.
He smiled then, and it struck her that despite the dark circles around his bloodshot eyes, despite his pale skin and gaunt cheeks he really was sinfully handsome. “You wouldn’t like that?” He asked.
“No,” Hermione said firmly, and trying to change the subject she asked, “Are you hungry?”
“I am,” He said, but before she could be too pleased by his cooperation, he continued, “But first I have a question.”
“Yes?” She prompted.
“How old are you?” He asked.
She smiled. Such a random question, such a strangely serene patient. “I’m 27.”
“You look older,” He said, and she couldn’t help but breathe out a short laugh. “I don’t mean any offense,” He continued, “I mean that you don’t hold yourself like most people your age.”
“I’m sorry, I’m not sure what you mean.”
“The way you look. Like someone who has a large amount of responsibility and wisdom. A teacher, a scholar,” Hermione was taking her gloves off when he said, “Or a mother.”
She paused. She watched him for a long moment in silence. The guards stood silently outside the door.
“I apologize,” Mr. Riddle said, “I am only trying to make conversation.
“Are you a father?” She asked him, and he laughed. Twice she’d seen him smile now.
“No,” He said, “I never had time.”
She thought about what Padma and Neville said in the breakroom, thought about the armed guards at every exit. She wondered why he was asking her these questions, why he was here, why he had forced himself to become ill enough to end up in the hospital, she wondered…
“I have a daughter.” She admitted. Because here he was a man, receiving treatment, and she refused to treat him like an animal.
“Does she look like you?” He asked her, “Or her father?”
She smiled, a bit tightly, and didn’t answer.
He did a funny thing then - hie eyes narrowed just a bit, he tilted his head, and his mouth twisted in what wasn’t quite a smile but couldn’t be defined as anything else.
“I’ll get you something to eat.” Hermione said, “Do you want something to help you sleep?”
“Not yet,” He said, “I don’t want to sleep while you’re here.”
Her stomach twisted at that, and she a strange, nervous feeling made her hands twitch, as if there was something humming just underneath her skin.
“I’ll bring you some food.” She said.
“Thank you, Hermione.” He said.
The guards watched her as she left the room.
–
He was the easiest patient she ever had.
He let her run his IV, administer the antibiotics, check his vitals, all without any complaints, just a few odd questions. He didn’t ask about her daughter again, perhaps because he noted that she became uncomfortable when he did. Instead, he asked what her parents did for a living, he asked where she was from, he asked irrelevant things like her favorite flower and how she took her tea.
He was much chattier than she expected him to be.
“Miss Granger,” Minerva said in the break room, using her surname as if she was a patient. She always did that. “How has Mr. Riddle been?”
“Fine, actually.” Hermione said. “The guards are more difficult than he is, although the ones tonight aren’t so bad. They’re quiet.”
Minerva raised a single eyebrow and said nothing else.
Hermione gave Tom Riddle a sleeping pill at the end of her shift, and he took it with a smile.
–
“Do you have to go?” Rose asked.
It was 7:00pm. The babysitter had just arrived and Hermione was dressed in her scrubs ready to go to work for the third night in a row and Rose was crying. Hermione brushed her daughter’s hair out of her face and felt her heart wrench.
“I’m sorry, darling,” She said, “I’ll be back in the morning, just like always.”
“But I want you to read me a story,” Rose sniffled, snot running out of her nose. She wiped at it messily with the back of her hand. “I want you to read me a bedtime story.”
“I’ll read you a story in the morning, I promise.” Hermione said, “I’ll come back home, just like always, in the morning. When you wake up I’ll be right there next to you.”
She never once wished that Rose’s father was around - he didn’t even know he had a child, and Hermione would keep it that way - but in moments like this, she always wished she wasn’t alone. Maybe it would be easier that way.
Rose wouldn’t stop crying. Hermione had to shut the door on her crying and begging her mother not to leave.
–
“Again?” Hermione snapped as soon as she saw the assignments for the night. “Again? Seriously?”
“Stop complaining,” Lavender snapped, “Everyone knows he’s an angel with you.”
“Why are you still here?” Hermione snapped back, and Lavender glowered back at her.
“I’m just leaving,” She said, “He has given me hell ever since he woke up, so good fucking luck.”
She watched Lavender storm out, but the only thing she really took from that conversation was that he finally got some rest. She looked at Room 119, saw the guards outside the door. McLaggen, the annoying one, he still wasn’t there - it was the same guards from the night before.
She started toward the room, and the guards watched her closely as they always did. They nodded to her as she entered the room.
And she stopped short.
A tall, blonde man was sat by Mr. Riddle’s bed. He had one of Riddle’s hands clasped between his, and looked as if he was saying something quite passionately before Hermione interrupted.
Visitors weren’t allowed on the night shift.
Tom Riddle wasn’t meant to have visitors at all.
“What the hell is this?” Hermione asked, quietly, let the low tone of her voice fill the room that was silent except for the steady beating of Mr. Riddle’s heart monitor.
Tom Riddle blinked at her, and said nothing.
“No visitors.” She said firmly, and turned toward the guards, “Why the hell does he have a visitor?”
The guards looked at each other, and then her, and said nothing.
She turned toward the blonde man, feeling as if she was in a dream or on a TV show, something that couldn’t be real life, “Get out.” She snapped, “No visitors - what part of no visitors do you not understand? Who let you in here?”
“Nurse,” The blonde man snapped, holding up a finger as if to say ‘wait, one second, “Give us a moment.”
“No, I will not give you a moment.” Hermione snapped, “No visitors. Period. You need to leave.” She turned to the guards, “Excuse me?” She threw up her hands, hoping they would soon understand the ridiculousness of the situation. “Get him out.”
The guards walked in, finally, and said, “Sir, it’s time to leave.”
“No, it is not time to leave.” The blonde man snapped. He must come from money, Hermione thought, that was the only thing that would explain his tone. “We are having a private conversation, so if you don’t mind–”
“Abraxas,” Mr. Riddle interjected. “Do as Hermione asks.”
First, the blonde man - Abraxas - screwed up his face and looked at Mr. Riddle like he thought he was crazy. Then he looked at Hermione, and back at Tom. His expression changed, flattened out, like he suddenly understood something, then he turned his eyes back to Hermione and stared.
He just stared and stared, his expression unreadable, in a way that made Hermione acutely uncomfortable.
“Goodbye, sir,” She said, then turned to the guards and said, “Could you both do your job, please?”
“No need,” Abraxas said, his tone quieter, less snobby, less snippy. “I’ll see myself out.”
He reached down and clasped Mr. Riddle’s hand once more, but said nothing. Then he left.
Hermione shut her eyes and took a deep breath, tried to shut the anger away. She felt on edge tonight, it started with the way she left her daughter and was only made worse with all this bullshit. She turned on the guards again, who were returning to their post.
“No visitors.” She snapped, “At all.”
One of the guards nodded tersely. Neither said anything.
She turned back to Mr. Riddle, who was watching her patiently from his bed.
She shouldn’t mention it to him. She knew he could get nasty, she shouldn’t try his temper, she should try to have a nice night at work, but she couldn’t help herself. “You know you aren’t allowed visitors.” She said.
“I know.” He agreed, “I apologize. He always visited me in custody - it is a wasted effort to try and explain to him that anything should be different here.”
“Seems its a wasted effort to explain anything to him at all.” Hermione snarked, pulling on her rubber gloves. Mr. Riddle chuckled.
“You aren’t wrong,” He agreed, and watched her very closely as she approached the bed, “You seem agitated.”
“How are you feeling?” She asked, ignoring his observation.
“I am steadily improving,” He said, “How are you feeling?”
“I’m doing just fine,” She said, moving to take his blood pressure. He caught her arm, far more gentle than the last time he touched her.
“Hermione,” He said her name quietly, reverently, it made her stop in her tracks for a moment. “I can tell that you aren’t.”
She met his eyes then. She had no desire to entertain whatever delusions he was experiencing, whatever it was he thought was going on here. She wanted to get on with her job and return home to her daughter and let him be dragged back to prison.
“I am frustrated that the patients of this hospital are incapable of following basic instructions, and concerned about how incapable the guards outside your room seem to be at doing their job.” She said, “I would like to check your vitals, and then go about my job. I have patients other than you, Mr. Riddle.”
His jaw clenched. He let go of her arm.
She went about her business, and he let her. No questions, no comments, no interruptions. It felt strange, charged, she found that she preferred it when he asked her odd questions.
Abruptly, she felt guilty. Not because she felt like Mr. Riddle didn’t deserve to be told off, because she believed that he did. But it was her job to be his nurse, not anything else, and she had no business telling him off when he was being nothing but polite. She always hated the idea of someone being treated like a burden, or an animal, or anything other than a person in need of human interaction, and who was she to tell off the patient when it was the guards and the nursing staff who allowed it to happen in the first place?
“My daughter,” She said after a long stretch of silence, “She was crying when I left. I hate to leave her like that.”
“It must be difficult,” He said, not missing a beat, as if he was ready for her to break the silence. “Raising her on your own.”
“Yes,” She agreed, “It is. I wish I could be with her all the time.”
“You are a good mother.” He told her.
She stopped her work, raised her head to meet his eyes again. He was always staring at her so intensely, in a way that made her hair stand on end.
She couldn’t help herself when she asked him, “Why do you have armed guards all throughout the hospital guarding you?”
He smiled, “Because I’m a prisoner.” He told her.
“I can’t imagine you committing a crime so terrible you need to be brought in by six guards.” She admitted.
He smiled, and said nothing else.
And something about the way he looked away from her then, looked toward the guards, still smiling, like something about this whole situation was deeply amusing that made her think; it truly wasn’t so far fetched.
And remember the way he acted to people other than herself, remembering the way he somehow had a visitor with the permission of the guards and the nursing staff, she wondered why she had thought it was far-fetched, even for a minute.
She needed some air.
“Are you hungry?” She asked.
“Yes,” He answered, “But not yet.”
A strange answer, but Hermione just nodded and left the room.
The guards, as always, watched her as she left.
–
Hermione researched Voldemort on her break.
Neville wasn’t wrong, he was in prison for life. He was found guilty on counts of Assault, kidnapping, theft, robbery, murder, and multiple drug charges. He was the kingpin for the Death Eaters, which as Hermione understood from the news she read, was an organized crime unit that participated in predominantly drug and arms trading.
If the hospital was an escape plan, as was the original concern, she wondered how someone like him could take so long to carry out his plan. She wondered why he was still there, sitting in his hospital room surrounded by prison guards, sitting patiently, as if he didn’t have any plan but to get well again.
She called the babysitter to check on Rose. She was asleep in her bed.
Hermione took a deep breath and returned to work.
–
“You don’t work tomorrow night.” Mr. Riddle said when she was checking on him after her break.
“No, I’m not.” Hermione said, “Did you ask someone if I was?”
“Yes,” He admitted, “You’re my favorite nurse.”
Hermione smiled. “Try not to call any other nurses whores and you should be just fine.”
“I can’t help it,” He said, “It does make me angry when I have a nurse who isn’t you.”
“That’s rather childish, don’t you think?”
“You know, we’ve met before.” He admitted, and that abruptly caught Hermione’s attention.
“What do you mean?” She asked, quietly, as if they were telling secrets.
He lowered his voice to match her tone, “Once, you looked after a gunshot wound for one of my friends,” Hermione furrowed her brow, shaking her head, she was sure she would remember meeting him. “Before that, a colleague who nearly lost their leg,”
“Mr. Riddle–”
“But that wasn’t the first time.” He continued. His gaze was decidedly intense now. Hermione felt helplessly caught up in it. “The first time, I came to the hospital on business.” He reached out, wrapped his fingers around her wrist, “You were a patient, and I was in the wrong room.”
She didn’t know what he meant. She didn’t remember.
“I held your daughter in my arms,” Hermione felt something heavy settle in her chest, something cold, “You were half asleep. You asked me to hand her to you, you didn’t know who I was. I realized I was in the wrong room but I couldn’t bear to leave.”
“Why were you there?” She asked, her voice was shaking slightly, try as she may to conceal it.
“I was waiting for someone,” He said.
“To threaten them with their baby in your arms?” She guessed. He had that strange expression again, his eyes slightly narrowed, his head tilted, and she knew she was right. “What are you doing here, Mr. Riddle?”
“Right now,” He answered, his voice soft, “I’m looking at you, wondering how many more times we should cross paths before I finally begin paying attention.”
She moved away, feeling unsettled, afraid. She turned, and the guards were stood at the doorway as if nothing was happening at all.
“Mr. Riddle, are you hungry?” She asked.
“Yes,” He answered, “But I don’t want hospital food.”
“I’m afraid thats all I can offer you,” She said, “I’ll let you get some rest.”
She left him like that. She didn’t check him again for the remainder of her shift, and then she left.
She went home, and made good on her promise to Rose to read her a story in the morning.
–
Rose was coloring at the table while the TV was on that morning. Hermione stayed awake despite the long night shift before to have more time with her daughter.
No matter how many channels she switched through they all had the same message.
Voldemort escaped from Hogwarts Medical Centre at 8:22am.
Police had yet to make a statement.
No one knew where he was.
“Mummy,” Rose called, looking up from her coloring book, “Can we bake muffins today?”
Hermione tried to shake the uneasy feeling that had settled deep in her gut. She smiled at her daughter, and thought of the nurse that had so gently handle her daughter over to her that first night. The man who wasn’t really a nurse at all.
“Of course, sweetheart,” Hermione said, and she smiled.
She switched off the TV.

Night 1 Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 Week 4 Week 5 Week 6 Week 7
The Men Tell All let’s go!!!
Chris: Hi. I’m Chris Harrison, and welcome to The Men Tell All. A live show where we revisit the most talked about guys on TV for the past few weeks. But before we get into all that, last week, we left off with our Bachelorette Y/N and her final three men in New Zealand. Y/N told not one, not two, but all three men that she is in love with them. An unprecedented move for a Bachelorette. She had two magical nights of romance with Ben and with Joe, who have both said they are in love with her as well. But when confronted about his feelings, Gwilym confessed to Y/N that he’s not ready to say ‘I love you’, and he won’t be unless he’s the one down on one knee at the end of this journey. Y/N told him she needs to know if he’s in love before she could accept a proposal from him. But - will they even get that far? Find out what happens next, right now.
The studio audience applauded and watched the screen.
***
“I dunno, Y/N. I just don’t know.”
You sighed heavily and looked at Gwilym’s troubled face.
“Well, I know where I am,” you said. “This is the first time we haven’t been on the same page.”
“You know how tough this is,” he said. “Being on this side of it. Having to wonder.”
“You don’t have to wonder!” you argued. “I just told you that I love you! How can I make it any more clear how I feel about you?”
“But you’ve also said your heart is with the other two,” he protested. “How can you love me properly if….” he trailed off. “If you love them too?”
“You don’t think it’s possible for me to love more than one person?” you questioned.
“No,” he said. “Not truly.”
You felt like walls were closing in around your heart. Walls to keep this hurt out. To keep Gwilym out because you felt like he was destroying you.
“Excuse me,” you said, taking your hand away from him. “I need a minute.”
You got up, shoving your chair back, and walked away from the table. Your feet led you outside onto the patio. The salty breeze and the sound of the water didn’t calm you down at all. Tears stung your eyes, and you blinked, letting them fall freely down your cheeks.
“I don’t know what to do,” you sobbed to your producer. “I can’t let him go, but I can’t go to the fantasy suite either, not like this.”
You took a deep breath and tried to gather yourself.
“But if he doubts that my feelings are genuine, then maybe we…” you swallowed the lump in your throat. “Maybe we aren’t right for each other.”
Back at the table, Gwilym was trying - and failing - to hold in his emotions. A single tear slid down his cheek, which he wiped swiftly away as he drew a deep breath in.
“How are you feeling?” asked his producer. “What’s going through your mind right now?”
“I dunno, I feel sort of numb,” he said. “I don’t want to hurt her, but I’ve got to protect my heart too, right?”
“What do you want from Y/N?” she asked.
“I want her to be patient,” he said. “I need time to get where she is, but I know I can get there.”
“Maybe you should tell her that.”
Without another word, Gwilym got to his feet and followed you out to the patio. He found you, looking out at the shore, arms folded across your chest. He saw your face, and the mascara that was smeared under your eyes.
“Y/N,” he said. “Please. I just need time.”
“We don’t have any,” you replied, turning to face him. “If you’re going to propose to me next week, I need to know that you’re in love with me. And if you’re not, then...then that’s it.”
“This can’t be it,” he said, voice cracking. “This can’t be how this ends.”
“It has to be,” you said. “We need the exact opposite things from each other right now. Neither of us are able to give them. I can’t stand here and tell you that you’re it and this is over. And I don’t have the time to wait for you to catch up to me. I don’t see what else we can do.”
“We can try,” he said. “We can try to make it work.”
“How?” you countered, throwing your hands up with exasperation. “How can we reconcile this?”
“I don’t know,” he said. “But the night is not over. We can talk it out.”
You shook your head. “I just don’t see a solution, Gwil. You need something I can’t give. And I need something you can’t give.”
“Well, if I told you now that I’m in love with you, you wouldn’t believe me,” he said. “You’re much too clever for that.”
“Because you told me that you’re not,” you said. “It would seem like you were just telling me what I need to hear in order to stay. And you’re much too kind for that.”
A long moment passed as you looked at each other. The air around you was charged with the tension. The impending goodbye.
“That’s it, then,” he said.
“Yeah,” you said. “That’s it.”
He reached out and pulled you into his arms. You buried your face in his chest, letting yourself feel his embrace for the last time. You couldn’t say how long you stood there. The moment seemed suspended outside of real time. You and Gwilym were just existing together. Soaking up what you could before you parted ways.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered. “I’m so sorry it’s ending like this.”
“I’m sorry too,” you replied. “But...it is ending.”
You pulled away, unsure where your strength was coming from.
“Can I walk you out?”
“Sure,” he agreed.
He took your hand, and you walked back through the restaurant and out the front door. The walkway led to the street. A car was already pulling up. You stopped at the end of the path and looked up at his face.
“Are you sure?” he asked.
You nodded. “I’m sure.”
He sighed. “I’m going to miss you.”
You held his gaze steadily. “I know.”
He cupped your cheek in his hand, his expression softening. Then he pulled you toward him and kissed your forehead.
“Goodbye, Gwilym,” you said.
“Goodbye,” he returned.
You stepped away from him. Your eyes were trained on his back as he opened the door, slid into the seat, and closed it again. You watched as the car disappeared down the road. Your bottom lip began to tremble and you buried your face in your hands. Then you let out a sob.
In the car, Gwilym was also in tears. They streamed slowly down his face, and he wiped them away with the back of his hand.
“It’s terrible,” he choked out. “My heart is just...broken. I can’t believe this is happening, but at the same time, I’m just...I dunno. I’m going to miss her. I wish so much that I could give her what she wants. But...I can’t. So, I wish her the best. Truly I do.”
You went to bed that night, still crying. You wondered if you could survive this kind of heartbreak. You debated telling production you changed your mind and you wanted Gwilym back. But you decided against it. What would bringing him back do? You would only circle around to the same argument. But still, it absolutely broke your heart to say goodbye.
The next day, you had a rose ceremony. It was in the afternoon, on the beach close to where you’d had your last date with Gwilym.
Joe arrived first and took his place on the little stage that production had set up for you all to have the rose ceremony on. The table was already out, the two roses on a tray, fluttering in the wind. Joe looked at them, hoping he would be receiving one.
Ben arrived shortly after. He smiled at Joe and they shook hands before Ben took his place on Joe’s right. He looked at the roses and then at his friend.
“Where’s Gwilym?” he wondered.
Joe shrugged. “No idea.”
When they looked out and saw you approaching, looking beautiful in a green silk gown, they grew especially worried. Chris Harrison helped you onto the platform and you looked at your final two men.
“Hi,” you said meekly. Your voice was hoarse from crying. “As you can see, Gwilym’s not here. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye last night.” You choked up just saying it out loud. “I don’t want to dwell on it, so, uh...let’s get started.”
You picked up the first rose. You saw that both Ben and Joe had visibly relaxed at the announcement. This was the one rose ceremony where they truly didn’t have to worry.
“Joe,” you said.
He stepped to you.
“Joe, will you accept this rose?”
“I will,” he assured you.
You pinned it on. He kissed your cheek before taking his place again. You picked up the second rose.
“Ben,” you said.
Ben strode over.
“Ben, will you accept this rose?”
“Always.”
You pinned it to him. He started to walk away, but you grabbed his hand. He stopped, turned toward you, and gave you a questioning look. You reached your free hand toward Joe, who stepped forward and took it.
You looked at them.
“This is it,” you said. “The last rose ceremony. I want to thank you both for going through all of this with me. I’m so happy to be your Bachelorette.”
A tear leaked out and rolled down your cheek. Joe wiped it with his thumb. Then, both men wrapped their arms around you. Sandwiched between them, you smiled at last. Hope was not lost.
***
“Welcome back to the Men Tell All!” Chris said with a clap.
The audience was still recovering from watching what they had.
“We just watched Y/N say perhaps the most heartbreaking goodbye of her season,” Chris continued. “I’m here now with all the guys, and we’re going to talk about all the drama, including what we just saw. But first, let me introduce the men!”
He went through each of the guys sitting up on the platform, introducing them one by one. They went in order of elimination, so the further he went, the more cheers they got from the audience. Luke got a lot of boos. Then, when he got to Taron, Allen, Richard, and Rami, the crowd was booming. Gwilym was the last one to be introduced, and he laughed as people screamed for him.
“Well,” Chris chuckled as it all died down. “We can see who the most popular guy is.”
They cheered some more and Gwilym offered a small wave.
“Gwilym, I do want to start things off with you,” Chris said. “Come join me in the hot seat.”
Gwilym stood up, amongst more cheers, and joined Chris on the stage, taking a seat on the two-seater couch across from Chris’s one-person couch.
“What was it like, watching that back?” Chris asked.
“Ahem,” Gwilym cleared his throat. “It was difficult. Extremely difficult. I knew how I felt about Y/N and I knew I could get where she needed me to be, but we just didn’t have the time.”
“Do you regret not telling her that you love her?” Chris pressed.
“I don’t actually,” Gwilym said. “You know, I was being honest. I’d never tell her that if it wasn’t true, and at the time, it wasn’t.”
“At the time?”
Gwilym laughed uncomfortably. “Okay, that didn’t come out right. I didn’t realize it later on or anything. As much as it hurt me, I realized that I’d told the truth, and so had she. So she made the right decision. Even if she’d kept me around for the night, I think she would have sent me home at the rose ceremony.”
“So, you feel like you were going home no matter what?” Chris asked.
“Yeah, I do.”
“You don’t think you could have changed her mind?”
“No, nor could she have changed mine,” Gwil said. “We were at different places in the journey, and - devastating as it was at the time - we had to part ways. I’m grateful for knowing her.”
“You know, she’s here,” Chris said. “She’ll be coming out in a little bit. Have you two spoken since filming ended?”
Gwilym shook his head. “We haven’t.”
“Are you ready to face her?”
“As ready as I’ll ever be,” Gwilym said. “She’s not coming out now, is she?”
“Not yet,” Chris said with a chuckle. “But I’ll definitely give you two the opportunity to talk when she does.”
He turned to the camera.
“We’ll be back in a little bit to talk to the rest of the guys and air out some of the drama of the season,” he said. “Y/N will be here to confront the men she rejected. Gwilym, thanks for sharing, man.”
They shook hands as the show went to commercial. When they were clear, Gwilym went back to his seat. A few minutes passed before they started again.
“Welcome back to The Bachelorette: the Men Tell All,” Chris said. “I’m here with our live studio audience and the men from Y/N’s dramatic journey as the Bachelorette. She’ll be out here pretty soon to face the men whose hearts she broke. But first, we’re going to discuss some of the most dramatic parts of the season.”
He turned to the men.
“Lee, let’s start with you,” he said. “Night one, and you had already caused a stir. Take us back to that night, and what was going through your mind.”
Lee took a deep breath.
“I wanna start by saying I’m not racist, okay?” he began. “The pressure was getting to me, I’d had a few drinks, and I said something I didn’t mean.”
“Dude,” said Mike rolling his eyes. “If you have to tell everybody that you’re not racist, it means you’re definitely racist.”
“Yeah, and what do you mean the pressure?” Eric chimed in. “It was night one!”
“You called a man of color a diversity rose,” Kenny reminded him. “To refer to one of us as something token is super racist, and the fact that you can’t take responsibility and just apologize shows that you still don’t see why it’s wrong.”
Lee opened his mouth to respond, but Chris held up a hand to stop him.
“Rami,” Chris said. “You were sort of at the center of all this, I wanna get your two cents.”
“Well,” Rami began. “It’s funny you say I was at the center of all of it, when at the time I really had no idea what was going on. I didn’t know until Y/N came in and yelled at him.”
“What were you feeling when you heard the term ‘diversity rose’?” Chris asked.
“I mean…it didn’t exactly shock me,” Rami said. “Guys like me and the other men of color - Mike, Eric, Kenny, and John - we’ve all heard much worse. He didn’t use a slur or anything, so at first I told myself it was dramatic to be upset about it. But then we all got to talking about it, and I realized that it’s okay to be upset about microaggressions too. And that’s what it was.”
“A microaggression?” Chris questioned.
“Yeah,” Rami said. “Because it wasn’t overt, he didn’t think it was racist. But it shows a divisive mentality at best and a racist one at worst.”
“Very eloquently said,” Chris remarked. “Lee, anything else you want to say?”
“Rami, I’m sorry,” Lee said. “I’m sorry to all of you. I know ignorance isn’t an excuse...but, I messed up. I’m sorry.”
“Apology accepted, man,” Rami said. He turned in his seat and extended his hand. Lee shook it.
“Look, man, if ignorance is the problem, you have to listen when you’re told you’re wrong,” Mike said. “Educate yourself. I’ve got no problem with people who don’t know any better. But I’ve got a big problem with people who don’t want to know better.”
“I understand,” Lee said. “I’ll definitely do that going forward.”
“Glad to hear it,” Mike said, shaking his hand as well.
“Well, I’m glad to see this talked out civilly,” Chris said. “Not that we’re looking to solve big issues like this on our show, but I’m happy to start a discussion.”
He took the show to commercial once again. When they came back, Chris started fresh.
“Welcome back to The Bachelorette: the Men Tell All,” he said again. “We just spoke with Lee and Rami about Lee’s sudden elimination night one. Now, I want to talk to the man who was the top trending topic on Twitter for three weeks straight. Luke.”
He looked at Luke, who shifted uncomfortably in his seat.
“Luke, why don’t you join me up here?” Chris said.
Luke, among some heckling from the crowd, got up, and took the seat Gwilym had occupied minutes ago. He straightened his jacket and then sat back.
“Welcome,” Chris said. “Before I let the other men address their issues with you, I want to give you a chance to defend yourself. But first, let’s take a look at your journey on The Bachelorette.”
Chris gestured toward the big screen, and all eyes fixed on it. The whole studio watched Luke’s emerging from the limo and meeting you for the first time. Then it was a highlight reel of the crazy things he said throughout. His arguments with you, his disagreements with the other men - especially pertaining the naked bungee jumping - right up until his elimination and sudden return at the rose ceremony. When the screen faded to black, Chris looked at Luke.
“Okay,” Chris said. “Thoughts?”
“I mean, I could have handled things a lot better,” Luke said. “But I was being genuine. I really believed myself to be on a mission to save Y/N’s soul. That it was my duty to love her and protect her.”
“You really felt like you were there to convert her to your faith?” Chris questioned.
“I think so,” Luke said. “I definitely could have gone about it in a more subtle way, but that’s just not who I am.”
“What was your goal when you showed back up at the rose ceremony?” Chris asked. “After she’d already sent you home. What did you hope to accomplish?”
“I wanted to propose to her,” Luke said. “I had a ring, actually, in my pocket.”
A shocked gasp went through the crowd. Chris blinked.
“You were going to propose?” he repeated. “Even though you knew she felt differently than you?”
“When God puts something on my heart, I chase it with everything I have, no matter the obstacles,” Luke said. “That’s how I saw it.”
“Okay, I’m gonna open the floor to the other guys now,” Chris said. “Who would like to start?”
“I’d like to,” Allen piped up. “I felt like we didn’t have a problem before, and then during the football game, you became so aggressive. My question for you, Luke, is - did I do something to offend you?”
“No,” Luke said, shaking his head. “I actually really regret that game. It’s probably my biggest regret of the show. I got really competitive, and I felt isolated from the other guys, and I think I just took it out on you. I’m sorry.”
“Alright then,” Allen said, surprised. “Apology accepted.”
“Hold on,” Taron interjected. “It’s all well and good that you’ve apologized to Allen, but I don’t think it’s fair to place blame on us for any of your actions. You alienated yourself, Luke.”
“How could I have alienated myself?” Luke challenged.
“When this all started, we tried to include you,” Taron said. “We tried being nice. But everything turned into something to evangelize us, and that’s exhausting to put up with. Then, you lied about Joe and Ben saying they weren’t there for the right reasons. How could you expect us to warm up to you when we saw you would blatantly lie to get ahead?”
“Look, I didn’t make it up,” Luke said. “I know what I heard and -”
“Luke, I’m gonna stop you right there,” Chris said. “The producers and interns looked through hours and hours of footage and audio - you guys are mic’d up all the time - and no one heard any conversation like what you described to Y/N. Not between Ben and Joe or any of the other men.”
“You sure you didn’t hallucinate it?” Richard said. “You f***ing psycho?”
“Hey!” Luke cried indignantly.
“Or were you just trying to get those two eliminated?” Taron added. “Because look how well that turned out.”
The audience laughed.
“All I can really say is,” Luke went on. “God told me everything I needed to do throughout this journey.”
“God spoke to you?” Chris questioned.
“Yeah,” Luke said.
Gwilym snorted in his chair and the two on stage looked at him.
“I’m sorry, that’s just ridiculous,” he said. “God spoke to you? Come on, Luke. It’s one thing to be sexist and a liar, but are you actually now claiming to be a prophet?”
“What does God’s voice sound like?” Rami chimed in.
The rest of the men snickered and then Chris interjected.
“Before we get carried away with this, Gwilym brought up a big point,” he said. “Sexism. Luke, did you feel like your attitude toward Y/N was sexist?”
“No, not at all,” Luke answered. “With the whole bungee jumping thing, I was just asking her to be respectful. Y’know, be considerate of the other men and how they might feel about someone else seeing her naked.”
“Now, I know Joe isn’t here to defend himself,” Chris said. “But he said to you that he didn’t really see anything. Do you think that matters?”
“No,” Luke said. “She still willingly took her clothes off for a man who isn’t her husband.”
“Luke, that’s nonsense,” Taron said. “Very few people wait for marriage anymore - yourself included - and yet you judged her for something that was actually pretty innocent.”
“Her past wouldn’t matter if she chose to wait from here on out,” Luke said. “And I wasn’t judging her. Like I’ve been saying, I just wanted her to be respectful.”
“But she couldn’t take it back once she’d done it,” Allen said. “What was the point in getting upset?”
“Weren’t any of you guys upset?” Chris wondered, addressing the group. “Did it bother you that she’d had this experience with Joe?”
They looked around and saw each of them shaking their heads.
“None of us cared that much,” said John Paul Jones. “We all just kinda wished it was us on that date, y’know?”
They all chuckled in agreement.
“Luke’s reaction was about controlling Y/N,” Rami said. “To claim her respect for him is based on what she does with her own body is sexism.”
“You guys are ridiculous,” Luke said, shaking his head. “It really wouldn’t bother you to know your wife was naked with another man?”
The guys exchanged confused and annoyed glances.
“Okay, let’s answer this totally different question,” Richard said. “Of course it’d be different if she was already with one of us. But she wasn’t. She’s the Bachelorette. She’s no one’s wife at that point.”
“But if her goal is to be a wife, she should act like one,” Luke argued.
“I don’t think we’ll ever get through to you how wrong you are for that attitude,” Gwilym said. “Arguing with you is pointless because you’re so rooted in the argument itself, you don’t even care if you’re right or wrong, you just want to be opposite of us. And honestly, watching the season back was frustrating. You constantly tried to bring Y/N to a faith she doesn’t believe in. You belittled her when you got upset, and when she called you out, you relied on gaslighting her and lying to her. You don’t know anything about forming a relationship because you’re so narrow minded, and relationships take compromise. If you can’t open yourself up to different people, then you are never going to be happy, Luke.”
The audience went wild at this speech, clapping, cheering, and whistling their approval. Luke shifted in his seat.
“Is there anything else you’d like to say?” Chris wondered.
“There’s not,” Luke said.
Without waiting for Chris, he got up and returned to his seat amongst the men. A beat of silence passed, then Chris looked into the camera.
“We’ll be right back to talk to more of the men from Y/N’s season right after this,” he said.
The show went to commercial. During that time, Chris had Richard and Allen come up to the stage and sit on the couch. As he welcomed the audience back, he re-introduced them.
“I’m here now with Richard and Allen, who I wanted to talk to together because you two had an interesting week in Ireland,” he said. “Y/N said that you were both not far enough along to go to hometowns. Let’s take a look at your journeys with her.”
He indicated the big screen, and everyone watched as they cut between Allen and Richard’s introductions to you, their dates, the romantic moments, and then finally the goodbyes on the same day back in Ireland. Both men smiled fondly at the memories.
“So, I can see you’re both happy,” Chris said. “Tell me what’s going through your minds.”
“I dunno,” Allen began. “I had a wonderful time getting to know Y/N. I don’t regret it at all.”
“Richard?” Chris offered.
“I’m the same,” Richard agreed. “Things ended the way they did, and I’m alright with it. No regrets here either.”
“I’m glad to hear it,” Chris said. “You two were pretty strong contenders at the beginning. Many even felt you were ahead of the two remaining men at times. What happened, do you think?”
“I don’t think anything in particular went wrong,” Richard said. “The relationship was solid, but we weren’t progressing at the right rate to feel like a commitment was the right choice.”
“That’s true,” said Allen. “I think in Richard’s case, she realized it before he did, and in my case, I realized it before she did.”
“Well, you’ve both been joys to watch all season and you’re Bachelor nation favorites,” Chris said, which the audience agreed with loudly. “So, if you’re open to it, I’d like to invite both of you to Mexico for Bachelor in Paradise.”
Bachelor in Paradise was the show where the men from previous seasons of the Bachelorette and the women from previous seasons of the Bachelor went to meet each other and try to make connections.
The audience cheered wildly as Allen and Richard looked at each other and laughed. The other men were also encouraging them to do it.
“I’m always down to take a shot at love,” Allen said. “I’ll go.”
“I’ll go as well,” Richard added. “I don’t have anything to lose, y’know?”
Chris beamed. “That’s great news for the women who have already signed up.”
He let them return to their seats, and then invited Rami up to the couch. Rami was met with applause from the crowd as he made his way to the couch.
“So, Rami you were a fan favorite who made it all the way to hometowns with Y/N,” he said. “Before we get your side of things, let’s take a look back at your love story.”
Everyone looked at the screen again. Rami had a small smile on his face as he watched himself get out of the limo and approach you for the first time. How he spoke Arabic to you. Then all the dates he went on, the moments he got you during a cocktail party, and his one on one date in Ireland. Then, they showed the hometown date, the things that Jasmine had said, and the breakup afterward. Rami’s smile faltered. The screen went dark.
“So, tell me what it’s like, watching that back,” Chris said.
“Like Gwil said, it’s difficult,” Rami replied. “I felt like I really had fallen in love with her, and to have her say goodbye after that was just...painful.”
“Do you think the problems your sister brought up were there or do you think she got in Y/N’s head?” Chris asked.
“Honestly, when I watched the episode, I realized that Jasmine was right,” Rami admitted. “I don’t think she necessarily got in Y/N’s head, I think she just brought things to light that we had been kind of sweeping under the rug and not really dealing with. I’m not angry at my sister - though I was for a little while - and I know that it worked out for the best.”
“How have you been doing since the breakup?” Chris wondered.
“I’ve been okay,” Rami said. “I’ve been working and spending time with family and focusing on what I want.”
“Are you still in love with Y/N?” Chris pressed.
“No,” said Rami, shaking his head. “I’ll always have love for her, but it’s safe to say I’ve moved on.”
“Are you still looking for love?”
Rami paused a moment before answering. “I’m not not looking for it. If it comes, I’ll be happy, but I know now I’m not quite ready to get engaged or married.”
“So, I can’t interest you in Bachelor in Paradise?”
Rami laughed. “No, I’m afraid not. Even if I wanted to, I actually just accepted a lead role in a movie and we’ll be shooting at the same time Paradise is filming.”
“Hey, congratulations!” Chris cried, as the audience erupted with cheers and the other men whooped from the platform across the stage.
“Thank you!” Rami called over the din before it died down. “I can’t say much about it right now, but more information will be released later on. I’m really excited.”
“We’re all happy for you, man,” Chris said, shaking Rami’s hand. “That’s awesome.”
He allowed Rami to return to his seat. Then Chris looked at the camera.
“We’ll be back with Y/N right after this,” he said.
The show went to commercial for a few minutes. A few of the men shifted in their seats. The anxiety of seeing you after weeks apart was making them fidgety. Most of them were fine, but the ones who had made it as far as Ireland were more uncomfortable.
Chris took a hurried sip of water before bringing the show back.
“Welcome back once again to the Men Tell All,” he said. “I’ve got the guys of Y/N’s dramatic season here with me, and now, she’s about to face them all for the first time since their incredible journey. So, ladies and gentlemen, please welcome, Y/N!”
The whole studio went wild. You started toward the stage, legs a little shaky with nerves. You beamed and waved at the crowd to try and cover up how anxious you were. You walked up to Chris first, hugged him tightly, and then smoothed your dress out before taking a seat on the couch. The noise quieted and you took a deep breath.
“How are you feeling?” Chris asked.
“Nervous,” you said. “I’ve never been in a room with so many exes before.”
Laughter filled the room and you turned toward the men, looking at their faces for the first time in months.
“Hi, guys,” you said with a little wave.
Most of them returned with one.
“So, we started the show witnessing your breakup with Gwilym,” Chris began. “Can you tell us what that was like for you?”
You rubbed your hands along your thighs, looking down at your lap.
“Oh, yeah, that was…” you trailed off. “That was a tough one. Watching it backstage just brought all those feelings back up and I’m not gonna lie, I got a little emotional.”
“Why emotional?” Chris wondered.
“Because that moment was so...raw,” you said. “I wanted so badly for that night to go differently and for us to move forward. I remember lying in bed after sending him home and I literally cried my false lashes off. I went back and forth for hours wondering if I’d made a mistake. I don’t think I slept at all. It had just….completely destroyed me.”
“Do you still question that decision?” Chris pressed.
“No,” you said, shaking your head. “Watching it back reminded me that it was the right call. I don’t think I would handle it any differently if I had to do it all again.”
“Well, I’d like to invite Gwilym up so you guys can talk,” Chris said. “You ready?”
“Yeah, of course,” you assured him with a nod.
Chris looked over at the men. “Gwilym, come on over.”
Gwilym got up, straightening his jacket, and walked over. You had gotten to your feet as well. You smiled widely at him as he got closer, and then opened your arms for a hug. He gladly accepted. You took a moment to enjoy the feeling of him once again, and then you sat down together on the couch.
“It’s wonderful to see you,” he said.
“You too,” you returned earnestly.
“I can’t tell you what a relief it is to hear that you don’t question your decision,” he said. “Because I don’t either. I think if we’d gone forward, there would have been more trouble and just...disappointed hopes.”
“I agree,” you said. “As painful as our goodbye was, it had to happen.”
“And you should know, I was equally destroyed by it,” he told you. “It broke my heart, and I’ve missed you terribly.”
“I’ve missed you too,” you returned. “As I’ve been watching the season, I was remembering all the moments where I thought, ‘okay, I think I love this guy’ and it was a bit painful, but I just hope you’re happy.”
“I am happy,” Gwilym said. “I know you can’t tell us how your season ends, but I hope you’re at least that.”
You beamed. “I’m very happy.”
“That’s great, cariad.”
Your smile grew impossibly wider at the old endearment. He grinned back.
“So, how are you two feeling about each other?” Chris asked.
“Similar to what Rami said, I think I’ll always have love for her,” Gwilym said. “But things feel...friendlier now.”
“I agree,” you said. “I will definitely always care about him, but in a way that’s platonic. Like, I know we’re always rooting for the best for each other.”
“Exactly,” said Gwilym.
“I’m glad you two got some closure here,” Chris said. “Gwilym, you can head back to your seat, and I’m gonna open it up to the other guys. Anything you all need to say to Y/N?”
Gwilym squeezed your hand and returned to his chair, and you looked over at the men. They took a moment, but then Rami spoke up.
“I just wanna say, I’m sorry that things turned out the way they did between us, but I’m grateful for your choice,” he said. “Looking back, my sister was right, and I think we might not have stayed together if we had gotten engaged.”
“Yeah, I think so too,” you agreed. “I’m glad we’re on the same page there.”
“There is something I wanted to ask about you two,” Chris chimed in. “When you were breaking up with Rami, you told him you loved him. Was that to say you were in love with him?”
“Honestly, I’m not sure,” you answered. “I had fallen into something very deep with you, Rami, and I’m sorry if saying that confused you at all. I just knew that my heart was hurting so bad to say goodbye, and I didn’t know any other words to convey how much you meant to me.”
“I kinda guessed that,” Rami said. “I thought about it for a little while, but let it go.”
“Thank you for understanding,” you returned. “And hey, congratulations on the movie!”
“Thank you!”
“Now, I wanna talk to you, Y/N, about the most controversial part of your season,” Chris said. “And that was your fight with Luke about the bungee jumping. Tell us about what you’ve experienced regarding that.”
“Yeah, um,” you began, but you started to choke up. “Well, turns out more people think like Luke than I thought. Since that episode aired, social media has been kind of a nightmare. The night of the episode, I got so many Tweets and DMs calling me a slut, saying I was behaving shamefully, and that I was the most disrespectful Bachelorette ever. And those were the most tame comments I got. I was also called a selfish bitch, stupid whore, and a lot of other words that I can’t say on TV.”
You wiped away a tear that had fallen down your cheek.
“I can see you’re getting emotional,” Chris said. “What is it about these people that makes you so upset?”
“It’s the injustice of it,” you said. “Like, no one tweeted at Joe and called him a slut even though he did the exact same thing I did! Not that they should say that to him, but - y’know - it’s - it’s -”
“It’s the double standard,” Chris finished.
“Exactly!” you cried. “Yeah, it was fine for Joe to expose himself to a woman who isn’t his wife, but for me - a woman - I was suddenly a slut. It was driving me crazy, because people still like, gave him so much love and support when Luke came for him, but for me, they joined in the attack. And then -”
You stopped, emotion welling up in your throat. You took a deep breath as your chest got tight.
“The night I sent Taron home,” you sobbed. “I was totally bombarded by this one group of women. I think they were having a watch party or something. And they all got on Twitter and were telling me to kill myself because I was so stupid to not give him a rose. They were actually telling me I should die because I didn’t pick their favorite. That...that really, deeply upset me.”
“How do you respond to things like that?” Chris asked gently.
“I try to ignore it because I know that engaging them won’t do any good,” you said. Then you turned and found Taron’s eyes. “I actually wanted to say thank you to you, Taron. You have been my biggest defender online, and you actually responded to a lot of those comments to protect me. So, I did want to let you know how much I appreciate it.”
You sniffled and offered him a watery smile. Taron returned it.
“Those comments really upset me too, Y/N,” Taron said. “I think I speak for most of the men here when I say, we adore you. You’re an outstanding woman, and we’re all incredibly grateful that you were our Bachelorette.”
More tears stung your eyes at his words. The other guys began clapping their agreement, and then, before you knew it, the whole studio audience was on their feet applauding you. The men continued as they joined in a standing ovation. You laughed through your tears and offered a quiet “thank you.” You blew Taron a kiss.
When they all settled down, you were even more emotional.
“I don’t think there’s a person in this room who disagrees with Taron,” Chris said. “I certainly found you to be an exemplary Bachelorette. You were fair and honest and gave it all of your effort. You have nothing to be ashamed of.”
“Thank you, Chris,” you said. “I just want to remind everyone that the people on this show are real people. Not characters that are completely unaffected by what you say. We do read the comments and the DMs and they do hurt us. I don’t want to dwell on the negatives - because I also get a ton of lovely people sending me messages of support - but this bullying online has got to stop. Not just for me. But for every person who takes a chance like this.”
“Well said,” Chris agreed. “I’m gonna turn it back over to the guys. Anything else you all want to clear up with Y/N while we’re here?”
Nobody spoke up, so he looked back at you.
“Anything you want to say to them, Y/N?” he offered.
“Yeah,” you said. “I just want to say thank you to all of you for taking this chance with me. It didn’t work out for various reasons, but I’m really glad to have met you. I wish you all love and happiness in your futures.”
They murmured their thanks in return, all smiles.
“That’s sweet,” Chris said. Then he looked at the camera. “We’ll be back soon with a sneak peek of next week’s big finale of The Bachelorette.”
The show went to commercial, and Chris placed a comforting hand on your knee. You thanked him again for his words. For the few minutes of the break, you went over and chatted with the men some more, without the pressure of the cameras. It was really nice to see them all again. Then all too soon you were being called back to the chair.
“Welcome back to the Men Tell All,” said Chris. “We’ve reached the end of our show, but before we go, we’re offering you a little taste of what’s to come in the dramatic season finale. Take a look.”
For the final time that night, all eyes went to the screen.
***
“Coming up next week on The Bachelorette,” said Chris in a voice over.
“I am in love with two men,” you said to the camera.
They cut to a date with Joe and the two of you kissing, followed by a similar shot of you and Ben.
“I’m in love with Y/N,” Ben said to the camera. “I’m ready to propose to her. I know she’s the person I’m meant to love forever.”
“What Y/N and I have is so amazing,” Joe said in his interview. “I love her so much. I just want to get down on one knee and propose already!”
The next shot was a close up of you in tears, mascara raccooning your eyes as your bottom lip trembled.
“It’s not you,” you sobbed.
They followed with a shot of Neil Lane opening a case of diamond rings. A hand reached out and held one up. It glittered in the afternoon New Zealand sun.
Three shots flashed by: the first, you sobbing. The second, Joe crying and walking out of an interview. Then Ben holding his face in his hands and weeping openly.
The final shot was you, standing on a street in the dark, struggling to draw breath.
“I can’t do this,” you were fighting to say. “I can’t breathe...I can’t…”
The screen went blank as a producer’s voice shouted “Y/N! Oh, God, someone call an ambulance!”
***
The audience in the studio were shocked to silence by what they had just seen. Chris looked over at you and smiled.
“Well, we all have something to look forward to with what might be the most dramatic season finale ever,” he said to the audience. “Find out what happens next week. Until then, good night, Bachelor Nation!”
