luna is the oldest of her class, though she keeps it under wraps. she turned twenty-two during the spring of her third year. this is because she took a hiatus after her first year at hogwarts to return to ireland and live with her father. during this time, she helped keep the quibbler afloat following a drop in sales. she helped breathe fresh life into the magazine and became closer with her father again along the way. now, they call each other every sunday afternoon over tea, and xenophilius visits whenever he can to drop off a copy of the quibbler in person.

[ tw: maternal death ] luna's mother, pandora, died while experimenting with a new spell when luna was only nine years old. luna witnessed her death and briefly became a shell of their curious, lively self. xenophilius was the only person they could open up to or trust during that time because he was the only one who understood what luna was going through. together, they keep pandora's memory alive by talking about her frequently and maintaining her quirks and traditions. luna still sprinkles salt in their doorway to ward off negative energy and keeps buttons in their pocket for good luck.

luna's is an avid thrifter and collector of clothing, accessories, trinkets, and oddities. she is very in tune with the "spirit" of the items she buys, and she'll often dissuade a stranger from buying a particular item that she believes to be cursed. her clothes come from all places and time periods, and she hardly ever incorporates trends into her outfits. she takes pride in her individuality and isn't afraid to draw attention.

luna was originally a magizoology major, but they switched to mythology & magical beasts because it piqued their interest far more. they love exploring mysteries and learning about the forgotten legends of ancient cultures. it's their goal in life to discover a species of magical creature that is widely believed to be extinct or to have never existed.

every quarter, luna helps to publish student art in the hogwarts howl. everything from painting, to photography, to poetry, to collage can be featured. however, it took a whole lot of convincing from her friends to include her own painting in one of the issues. she insisted that she go by a pseudonym, but one of the upperclassmen in art club finally convinced her to publish under her true identity. luna's art is abstract and impressionistic, and she primarily paints figures and still life.

history.

myrcella knew the story of her house well; her father often spoke with pride of their family's rise. for house paege was a name previously long forgotten by the pages of history. landless. without titles save the knighthoods a handful managed to earn. each generation was overlooked, mostly unknown beyond the riverlands - their marriage options limited to other landless houses or a rare love match with a minor noble. but that all changed when myrcella's grandfather was bestowed the castle of harrenhal. through dedication, and every piece of gold the family could get their hands on, the castle was returned to its former glory. their new status let them escape obscurity and finally granted them decent marriage opportunities, which the family took full advantage of, securing blackwood gold, needed for harrenhal's reconstruction. samwell's children would be the first generation of the family raised at harrenhal from the first moment they were given the paege name - be that from birth or adoption.

there was something odd about myrcella paege. the wet nurse and servants would whisper it when she was only a babe. her entrance into the world was not smooth, a long and rough labor that almost added her mother to the list of ghosts walking harrenhal's halls but lady catelyn survived as did the child. later, they would say she would wake from slumber crying for no reason and when she grew old enough to walk and talk, they said she would wander around the castle as if following and talking to someone but the halls were empty. her parents brushed it aside as a child's imagination. if only the castle's reputation didn't already leave many looking for signs of ghosts.

the oddities quieted, though never vanished, as she grew. strangeness tempered by a lady's demeanor, courtesies embraced and wielded with ease. she became the darling of her family, a reputation they encouraged to be spread before further whispers of strangeness were. cella was often seen at one of her parents' sides whenever harrenhal hosted guests or traveled to visit other keeps. the eldest was their heir and future, but cella was the jewel. her talent for painting was equally encouraged and many of her works were proudly shared, even given as gifts, by her parents, resulting in her talent being well known throughout certain parts of the realm.

myrcella's nature prevented all whispers from being silenced. those who crossed paths with her for longer than a brief conversation might notice how the lady's eyes wandered, as if seeing something in the emptiness, or the odd figures that lurk in some of her drawings. can she see ghosts? some wonder. no, it's nothing more than an act, others retort. but no one could deny the youngest paege's kindness. a truly delicate creature in a world too harsh. perhaps that's why the unseen were so fond of her.

headcanons.

has a bad habit of sleep walking, which has resulted in servants and sometimes other nobles occasionally finding her wandering the castle with little recollection of how she got there. she's also prone to bouts of insomnia, some say it's due to how frequently she had nightmares as a child, but normally hides that by remaining in her chambers or only venturing to the kitchens for a cup of tea.

can be found drawing or painting whenever she has a free moment, and she'll happily give away her drawings if people wish for them.

has a quiet fascination with the macabre and the darker legends of history.

Enora In Skyrim part 3

Three weeks have passed since Tally and Enora became a traveling duo,with Tally being the main one good at fighting off bandits,wolves,and whatever dangers try to kill them along the way, and Enora being the one good at healing and getting them into trouble. The small imperial woman has quickly grown on Tally,her cheerful disposition making even the dreary days of rain and water logged boots happy ones. He also has to admit that she is quite easy on the eyes,and he wouldn't mind making her squeal in ways that'd make Sanguine himself blush. 

One of the things Tally enjoys most about Enora is how she fusses over him and treats him. After every fight he wins,she is there looking him over,gentle hands holding his face as she makes sure he doesn't have any signs of a head injury or any wounds that need tending. When they camp she will make him the best apple cabbage stew he's ever tasted and mend any holes in his clothing that he's gotten in battle or from walking the roads. During the nights at camp she tends to hum or babble about whatever is going on in her pretty little head at the time. 

Currently both of them are camping in eastmarch after having heard rumors of a man having been caught by some thalmor,both of them planning to help said man. Enora is making sure there are no holes in Tally's clothes while Tally warms himself by the fire and eats the soup Enora made from him,a warm pastry full of sweet apples and sugar also on his plate for him to devour.

Enora's gentle humming mixes with the sound of crickets chirping and the fire crackling. Tally finds himself curious about his cute companion and decides to voice a question or two.

Tally: So….I’ve told you about my sisters and parents…do you have any family Enora? Any siblings?

Enora:*Looks up from her sewing with her signature sweet smile,her eyes shining with love and a bit of nostalgia as she thinks of her family* Oh yes! I’m the eldest daughter in my family,but my brother Eli has the title of Eldest Child, I have 3 younger sisters,Mary,Divinia,and Ophelia is the youngest.

Tally: Oh? And your parents?

Enora: They passed when I was 8 years old. See i was born in the Imperial City in quite a lovely house,my older brother said my arrival caused much fuss as my mother’s labor wasn’t an easy one. My mother worked as a secretary for the East Empire Company and my father as a Blacksmith and Jewelry crafter. I was rather close with both of my parents,mama would read to me and let me help organize her books and papa would let me pick which gems to put in the circlets and lockets he would make to sell at upcoming fairs and festivals. *she smiles fondly as she thinks back to her early childhood*

Tally:*a small pang of jealousy hits his heart,but he shakes it off,he’s happy she had a happy childhood* They sound like they were lovely parents. You must have been happy together.

Enora: We were…then the illness broke out. At first it stayed around the docks and slums,then it hit the shopping areas. My baby sister,Ophelia, was the first in our family to get it. She was only a toddler at the time and I remember the fear and hushed whispers of my parents. Mama wouldn’t leave her side,she made her soups and teas and took time off work. The temple healers weren’t sure if she would make it. Then Mama,Mary,and Divinia fell ill. Papa made preparations for me and Eli to be sent away but then he fell ill. Me and Eli did our best to take care of everyone. Ophelia and my other sisters got better,slowly at first and one of the temple priests took them to stay in his home,he offered to take us but me and Eli refused to leave mama and papas side. Then one night,mama’s wheezing went silent…she had asked for me to get her some water,and when i returned she was so silent…I don’t remember what happened after that, Eli says he heard me scream and then a thud. The shock had been too much for me and I had fainted. Papa would pass a few hours later,the temple priests and Eli sitting with him. 

Tally: I’m sorry for your loss…especially at such a young age. As an older sibling I understand the shouldering of responsibilities such as caring for sick loved ones,but I have not yet had to deal with the loss of my parents.

Enora: Its Okay,sometimes i wonder what life would have been like if they had lived but then I wouldn’t have met you. 

After that pretty heavy conversation,Tally and Enora would prepare for bed and sleep for the night. Well Enora slept,Tally stayed up till 4am watching her sleep and thinking about what he had learned about his Enora. She had experienced loss and great change at such a young age,and yet she grew into someone with such a cheerful and kind nature. She didn’t speak often of her family,but then again neither did he. Looking down at her as she slept curled up into his arms, he made a silent vow to not let anyone or anything break her heart,not if he could help it.

HISTORICAL VERSE: Judith was born on the streets in Bristol. Her family was homeless, and her father died when she was only three. Her mother, Sarah, took care of her and her brother Israel. tl;dr: ophelia is a dressmaker ! & she's very, very good at it. she makes almost all of the garments worn by the english royals & now that she's in france, acts as a sort of seamstress for all of the guests. 

she's a deeply creative soul — when she's not working in the seamstresses' workshop, she's probably off painting somewhere, or collecting flowers to press or turn into natural fabric dye. she also loves pottery, & has a collection of vases & pots she's made.

she is, by birth, a cousin of the greys, but her birth father passed before she was born & her mother passed in childbirth. her father's brother, the patriarch of the current generation, adopted her without question. she knows the story of her birth parents, as her adoptive parents ( her uncle especially, who grieved his brother's death deeply ) wanted her to know them as intimately as possible.
