At Least Eli Appreciates It

Hal was out in town tonight. He had put Dirk to bed, getting him to sleep for once, and with the rest of their roommates asleep as well, he simply decided to go out. He wasn’t in the mood for staying home and being quiet. He was sitting in an alley, near enough to the shadier parts of town that he knew he could get away with something... but far enough that gangs weren’t patrolling the streets. He had his bat in hand, the other free to grab at whoever might pass right by.

He is, however, interrupted, as he catches the sound of footsteps whose rhythm and softness held familiarity. He grins, reaching out and tugging Eli into his hiding spot. He doesn’t flinch from the hand on his throat, though the fangs and hiss make fear sing in his veins. There’s reasons to be wary, still, even with Eli. She recognizes him though, which he is glad for, as he pushes down his hood, rocking back on his heels with a lopsided grin.

“Wouldn’t’a hurt my feelings none. I just couldn’t resist, y’know? You were right there.”

You're very excited about being able to meet new people. Eli seems very nice, and she's like you! You really want to make friends with her.

You fly around the tent, having just painted swirls on Rose and letting her paint on you. You're wearing your stage clothes- just a black tank top and a pair of shorts. Red paint sticks out on your pale skin, your black wings spreading as you situate yourself on top of your cage.

Waiting. Waiting for Eli to come. What does she look like? You don't know. People are coming in! You're going to perform soon! Not yet, not yet. You get to sit behind the curtain next to your cage until it's time for you to go in. Sometimes people get to talk to you before the show. You hope Eli does!

im a photographer for a magazine but sometimes i get sent on cool all expenses paid trips to places to shoot fashion shows and shit so yeah its probably cooler than what youre doing
