A quick follow up to my Gai post: I'm not completely against the idea of him regaining his compassion, but ideally those seeds should've been sown since the beginning. Even it were small things like helping people caught in his fights escape as Thouser, flashbacks to when he was genuinely passionate about his work, showing some sort of virtue that isn't undercut by his fairly liberal puppy kicking and backstabbing, or a positive relationship with literally anyone like Alain/Necrom with Grandma Fumi in Ghost, or any sort of early indicator he's not a total sociopath?

I probably would be more willing to let this redemption arc slide because if nothing else, Nachi Sakuragi's able to sell the idea better to me than Yuya Takahashi ever could, but the real sticking points against this idea to me personally are his treatment of Yua and Isamu and his decisions concerning the ZAIA Spec and RaidRisers. How does he even have willing investors? I get that they're definitely as corrupt as he is, but he doesn't exactly hide it well, and most of his creations are both ripoffs of Hiden Intelligence tech and have major security flaws that make them stupidly dangerous. Even the ZAIA Spec is just that Google GLASS thing but cooler looking.

This whole thing reminds me of how they tried to redeem Bryce in 13 Reasons Why, all the while showing the effects of everything he did to everyone else and how he undergoes no real character growth, instead opting to slap a tragic backstory and new character onto the script like a band-aid on a compound elevated skull fracture.

Come to think of it, it seems exactly like that. I'd love for somebody somebody photoshop Palpatine's hood onto a picture of Thouser (the rider, not the dog), because to apply a quote from I Hate Everything concerning Bryce in a similar context, "This guy's eviller than the fucking Emperor."

J'aime bien la manière dont est mise en scène la présentation de la classe. On assiste d'une part à la petite conversation entre Koichi et quelques camarades qui font connaissance, tout en faisant un tour de classe – la caméra s'intéresse à chaque élève et à leurs mimiques. Ça permet de voir rapidement l'ensemble de la classe (sauf Izumi) et les différences de caractère sans que ce soit lourd. (on remarque que les élèves n°9 et n°11 semblent suspicieuses... mais pourquoi?)

A little unfortunate that the xyz arc ended so fast. I had an idea where when Yuya and co. Met up with the resistance, amongst them would be Mieru, Yaiba and Masumi, having joined up as part of the lancers second wave. Many of the second wave were either carded, or abandoned ship when during the Academia raid, & one of Yuya's goals is to to get Sakuragi Yuu (the youth member who Yugo saved in the fortune cup), not to give up the fight and to continue leading the Xyz Lancers to fight

Yeah, it was definitely shorter than I expected but I guess I can understand the reasons why. That’s an interesting idea about a second wave of Lancers though. That would be pretty cool to see. I could certainly see Mieru, Yaiba, and Masumi being willing to go. Mieru especially if she thought it would mean she would get to see Yuya again. ^^; I dunno if Yuu would have been willing to go to another dimension in the first place though. Poor guy seemed pretty terrified after his first encounter with Obelisk Force and that might have scarred him so badly that he wouldn’t want to fight at all.

ARC-V-hetypes

With ARC-V drawing to a close,  wanted to do something to commemorate my absolute favorite Yugioh series. But seeing as I can’t draw, write stories, or do anything that would be beneficial or productive, I thought I could at least do something that I really like: deckbuilding.

This series brought us so many insane, memorable, fun, and well-designed archetypes. From the OTK power of Performapals and Odd-Eyes, to the careful planning of D/D/Ds, to the KOI KOI KOI of Flower Cardians, Arc-V has it all. I already made a few decks based on these cards, so why not go all the way and make all the decks?

Ways I would have changed Arc V (Xyz Lancers)

Now that Arc V is over and we have seen its failures, i thought i would voice out someways i would have changed the story.

During the first season, we had characters like Masumi, Yaiba and Mieru who were pretty much dropped from the show come season 2. I really want them to have continued showing up later.

What if LDS sent a second wave of Lancers to Heartland to combat Academia while the main Lancers were in Synchro dimension. However during the big Academia raid that wiped out the spade branch of the resistence, many of the second wave were either carded or turned coward and fled back to standard. The only lancers left would be Mieru, Masumi and Yaiba.

The new Xyz arc would be about overcoming despair and finding courage, with Yuya trying to rally and inspire the downtrodden Heartland citizens and Lancers.

There would be more of a reason for Kaito to be antagonistic since the Lancers ran and left his brother and father to die. Sakuragi Yuu (the guy in Reiji’s first group who ran off during the miami invasion) can act as the leader of the Lancers who turned coward, being one of the key figures Yuya needs to convince to come back to fight.

“Abridged” Arc-v

Hear me out! (cause I don’t know when I’m going to bring this but....)  this might be an old news (well, Arc-v is just start season 1 in my country about a few months ago and today it’s ep.67 ; w ; ) but I just wanted to share with you anyway lol

this is mostly based on the “insert quote” (the quote that doesn’t even in the story but hey! they bring it up and I LOVE it >w< ) of my country’s “dub” version 

Character’s most used insert quote list :  (If I don’t list here it’s means that character doesn’t get insert quote at all) 

Yuya is the one together with Yuzu who got a little of insert quotes ex. ran some of comedy gag when being with Yuzu.  But he always got mocked by others (especially Gon-chan) 

His favorite quote - “Why everyone keep mocking me???”   

Gogenzaka is salty at everyone! and always mock Yuya and others’s script......( and I call him Mr.script checker )

His favorite quote - “Who write your script, Let me look at it!”    

Ex. When Yuya is berserk and summoning Odd-eye reblion dragon and start screaming, Our Gon-chan said, “Yuya, Why TF are you keeping scream???!?! who wrote your script?!?!?!” 

Shingo is still same in season 1. But in season 2 he starts complaining at everything that he saw and Call Selena for “Tom boy” 

His favorite quote - “Don’t you know who I am? My father is a minister you dammit! ”    

Reiji Instead of being calm, serious he is now wanted to be looking good in every ep! even more wanted to looking like a cool character!

His favorite quote - “Let me arrange my glass first”     

Reira is also got mocked by every characters (including Yuya) especially in season 2, They said like “Why that child/kid/brat is so silent, is he has something in his mouth???” 

but Reira just replied them with his favorite quote “it’s not my queue yet...... ”

Selena is even more badass than before! She doesn’t want everyone to look at her nor touch her in first season but a little bit change in season 2.

Her favorite quote - “Who are you looking? Do you want to die? and don’t touch me! ”     

Jack is now fighting for the sake of “Cup ramen” (I’ve never expected that his voice actor still remember that in 5d’s Jack LOVES cup ramen lol  ) Ex. He said to Yuya in their first duel “They said if I win, I’ll get more cup ramen”

Yugo is even more angry and pervert than the before! 

His favorite quote - “Look at my mouth! It’s Yugo! My name’s Yugo! Don’t you all get it??!?!?! ”

Voice actor list section so far - ep.67 for now  (I can’t remember their name and I’ll try to find some video that has their voice later)  

Yuya = the one who voice blackmist, Kaito, Alito, Gache, III, Eliphas. He always picking the serious characters to voice or the main antagonist. (He also voice Edo in Gx so, I wonder if he do that in Arc-v too....)

Gong, Reiji, Yugo, Hokuto,Crow  = the one who voice Yuma (if you bet that he is a funny type voice actor, the answer is YES!! he really is!!! but I don’t understand why in Crow’s case he become more serious......)

Reira, Yuzu, = the one who voice Rio, Dogchan (she might has soft voice but she always came up to voice a strong girl! or sometime a boy lol)

Ayu, Yoko, Sora,  = The one who voice Cathy, Tron. She always voice to heroine or the main young/kid villain of the series.  (she also voice Asuka in Gx so, I wonder if in Arc-v she will voice her once more? ) 

Futoshi, Selena, Hali, Himika  = the one who voice Haurto, Droite. She always voice funny type character in both (young/kid) male and female. sometime, she pick up the serious character role.

Tatsuya, Masumi, Mieru, Olga, Rin = The one who voice Kotori. She always voice the brute and funny girl and they often being the main characters 

Shun, Strong ishima, Gen, Isao, Teppei, Chojiro, Leo akaba = the one who voice Dr.Faker, Vector. He got “old man” voice but I don’t know why he can change to fit younger character’s voice....

Syuzo, Shingo, Yaiba, Yuu Sakuragi , Barrett, Dennis, Roget = the one who voice Astral, V , Girag. and even more he always voice for the villain who got calm personality...

Nico smiley, Nakajima, Michio, Yuto, Yuri, Shinji, White Taki, Jack  = The one who voice Ryoga, Rei (vector’s alter ego), IV , Don thousand, Mizar (for Jack’s case only, he also voice as Jack in 5d’s too!)
