Ok, but their dream sequence hurts so bad when you think about it.

Marinette pretends to have a normal life, but she doesn’t. She is under great pressure. She cannot and doesn’t allow herself to relax. Monarch has almost all the Kwamis because of her. She just wants that to end. She still sees herself as a superhero, but with Monarch out of the way and the Miraculous all recovered and back in the Miracle Box, she can breathe, have a normal life with a boyfriend, get married and eventually have kids. Something she had daydreamed about before but seems so out of reach and is mourning right now because too much is at stake.

Adrien, on his end, still has depression. He is not a model anymore, but judging by his room, he is stuck playing video games, an activity that requires the minimum attention. He is bored, he is alone (no offense, Plagg), his father is more absent than ever. But this dream of being in couple with Ladybug, spending all their time together and having an actual family life? No wonder Chat Noir was furious when he woke up from it.

You know something I do like, and have been doing a little in my fics right now, is making Arthur like an anchor to Merlin when he leans a little too dark.

Like Arthur knowing about Merlin's magic situations, either in a Canon Era fic or Arthur Returns fic it's likeee, Arthur just being someone to be able to cut in with a hard "Merlin" or like a heavy hand on his shoulder, or both, and being able to stop Merlin from doing something incredibly dark (and/or stupid) is like yes, mmm yummy, yes exactly

And like you can do it both ways, Merlin is much of an anchor for Arthur in this sense in the show. Like with Odin in S5Ep4.

But yeah I just love it, I just love Arthur being able to pull Merlin back and say no. Just keep him from hurdling off the edge straight into a darkness he can't come back from, yes <3

I love how in Jubilation, they made the clues about Alliance not so obvious to Marinette thanks to the context. 

Marinette was terrified of the data collected by the Alliance ring, but not because she was thinking of the fact that data could be analyzed by an enemy AI. No, she was terrified because the data accidentally showed in front of Soqueline’s face who even asked her : “Do you have superpowers or what?”

Plus, because Marinette was there to check on Soqueline and try to convince her to stop pretending to be Ladybug in the first place, Marinette believes that Soqueline’s actions is what drew Monarch’s attention to her. Not her Alliance data.

Still, it explained why Marinette won’t wear an Alliance herself, while also explaining why she doesn’t yet suspect the product itself to be Monarch’s tool.

ohmygod rwd s5ep4 was so GOOD

the description mentioning a new god was so intriguing but i didnt expect austin pulling on some wild dnd lore and creating a super interesting challenge, it was really cool

the individual scenes showing off everyones personalities and arcs sooooo well and the dice playing in line with the rp, from vhas' impulsive and carefree personality paying off (i liked vhas before but i really like him now) to vr-la engaging w the mental aspect of the maze instead of the physical (and that WILD alternate timeline dream)

kyana's trial sucked so bad for her but it also made so much sense narratively?? the point of the maze was to develop a deeper understanding of the self and commit to a goal or path and kyana doesnt seem to have a solid long term goal for the future; her whole thing is running away but at some point thats not gonna be sustainable and her reluctant choice to run from stability reflected in the dice

dani's future choice is so interesting to me and feels like a very satisfying moment for a final season arc, especially since i was relistening to older episodes and saw how much dani grew in little ways (sophia describing dani as an asshole for bullying egan, still being mean to davion but now having a sense of respect; the self realization at pandemonium and trusting herself to be able to fix anything she puts her mind to; her becoming the captain of her own ship). i think i wouldve given dani a different choice in the moment, but i think sophia chose the right pressing decision for dani
