Happy Birthday Ryotaro Okiayu
Today's the birthday of my favorite seiyuu of all time, Ryotaro Okiayu (who is the hard working man that voiced many characters like Lee from Tekken, Alucard from Castlevania, and Byakuya from Bleach). I hope he gets to have a wonderful day!~

Idk why Netflix hasnt announced the third season of RoR, I won't ever forgive them the fact that I won't listen to my fave seiyuu laughing hysterically 😭

Audio clip taken from BL drama CD, Ura Katana Kami no Ki.
A short audio I've edited,(I had to edit out just the character names that are spoken in this audio, bc I felt like it, sorry🤪)but it's just a small-but-hot kiss scene voiced by X and Zero's seiyuus/Japanese VAs!!!!😳🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
X is Shinkai the protagonist, but what I didn't realize from what I've read from the info was Zero is Shiva/the sword!!!!
Like, WHY DIDN'T I NOT KNOW!???😲😲😲😲😲😲
Anyway the characters in this scene are NOT an official pairing. Well, you get the idea how the plot in the drama CD/Manga goes.
And yeah I hate having to make a small thumbnail cover which doesn't pretty much relate to this scene.😑

It's that time of year again... MARCH 14th! Which means it's time for another E.M.U / Sotsugyou M post!
So here is the E.M.U - MVP promo video. It's basically a 30 minute compilation video showing some behind the scenes footage of band rehearsal and photoshoots with the voice actors as E.M.U, with some pics of their Sotsugyou M character counterparts talking about their likes and dislikes, along with 2 cheaply animated music videos... Dang, I miss the 90s XD. This VHS also came with a small character bio booklet, which I've also scanned.
You can download it all HERE.
If you want to download all of the past E.M.U / Sotsugyou M stuff that I've posted so far, which includes all of their songs and their first live concert, you can find all of my posts concerning them HERE.

Hey everyone!
Did you know that Kokus Japanese v/o sings?
I found this playlist of his recordings on YouTube 😊:
You can even pretend that Koku sings you a romance song:
youtube
I think there's some songs by Muzans v/o and Doumas too, I'll find them as well!

Ryotaro Okiayu is to this day one of my top most favourite seiyuu of all time. Back in the day I would watch anime just because he was in it, and animes that I didn't watch because of him, I could recognise his voice immediately when I heard it.
My ear for recognizing seiyuu voices isn't as good lately, maybe because there's no one that I would say is my absolute favourite. However Umehara Yuichiro comes as close to being the sole exception as one can possibly be. Ever since I heard him for the first time as Goblin Slayer in Goblin Slayer (one of my most favourite of the newer anime and manga), I have been hooked. It helps that he's almost in every new anime I've been watching recently.
I think there's a similarity between his and Ryotaro Okiayu's voice that just appeals to me. However even as a fan I do admit that there is a certain monotony about his voice that works perfectly for Goblin Slayer and many of his other roles, but less so for Anos Voldigoad in The Misfit of Demon King Academy. Tatsuhiko Suzuki still owns that role.
But getting to my point, I'm watching episode 3 of Wind Breaker and it's the introduction of Togame Jo. The moment he said his first word I knew I recognised that voice but just couldn't place it. For a hot minute I was convinced it was Suwabe Junichi, but Anime News Network informed me otherwise.
My point is this is the first role of his that I didn't immediately recognise him from the get go, and I'm glad to hear him doing something different than his usual type of monotone stoicism, his work in this episode was amazing and he really brought to life the menacing playfulness of the character.
Togame was one of my favourite antagonists in the first part of the manga and having Ume-chan bring him to life is just the icing on the cake. I'm even more excited to see the rest of the show, especially once it gets to the Togame vs. Sakura fight.
(In completely unrelated news, god Nirei is honestly insufferable in the anime. He was just annoying and pointless in the manga but in the anime... I literally just want him to shut the hell up.)

Anyone wants to take the time to translate this?
It's a shame there's almost no uploads of these Bleach conversations with English (at least...) subtitles on.

(Ryotaro Okiayu selected Byakuya's Bankai scene as his choice for "My Best Scene")
Ryotaro Okiayu: I just want everyone to watch my highlight scene.
Kentaro Ito (mimicking Renji): Captain, you were awesome!
Ryotaro Okiayu (laughing): Was I?
Kentaro Ito (still mimicking Renji): Yes! You know how to do it, captain!

It’s March 14h, which means it’s that time of year again where I give an E.M.U / Sotsugyou M gift!
Last year, I posted the last of the CD album releases. So this year, I decided to post up E.M.U’s First Live, which was held at the Akasaka Blitz on May 19th 1996.
You can download the concert HERE!
At first I was a bit worried since a lot of Windows 10 updates during the past couple of years rendered a lot of video capture cards obsolete, including both of mine. Luckily my brother came to the rescue and let me borrow his X3. Please excuse the video and audio quality in some parts. Most of E.M.U’s videos were only released on VHS and Laser Disc, which I don’t have the latter, and I’m not  talented enough to even attempt to upscale VHS footage XD. However, for a tape that’s almost 30 years old, it was actually in pretty great shape. Whoever sold it took really good care of it.
