Orville Peck is a gay country musician from South Africa who released his debut album "Pony" in 2019. Since then, he has released the EP "Show Pony" and another album "Bronco." Peck is known for being private and hiding information about himself; Orville Peck is a stage name, and he wears his signature fringed mask to hide his face.

While he keeps his appearance and name private, he hasn't been secretive about his identity as a gay man. He has also been tied to the drag community, featuring queens from RuPaul's drag race in his music videos and collaborating with Trixie Mattel. Not only did Peck and Mattel record a cover of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash's "Jackson," but he also has appeared on the TV series "Trixie Motel" and on the drag queen's YouTube channel. In April 2024, Peck also collaborated with country music legend Willie Nelson to release a cover of "Cowboys Are Frequently Secretly Fond of Each Other" by Ned Sublette. In interviews following the release of the song and accompanying music video, Peck applauded stars like Nelson and Dolly Parton for showing their support for the LGBTQ+ community.
