cupid -> schoolmate! kim jiwoo
-your favourite genre was always romance. you loved the books from a very particular bookshop. the owner’s granddaughter always disliked romance books. she liked seeing you in the bookstore though.
warnings: y/n being very obvious; mamamoo are b e t t i n g
genre: fluff!
notes: plot idea goes to @cfvgbhndun-new-blog 🫶 i don’t think i’ve actually seen someone write for jiwoo?
ᘛ⁐̤ᕐᐶ
jiwoo always thought it was kind of stupid of you. while she herself wasn’t a romance fan, she could easily recognise the titles you’ve been reading- all of them were sappy love stories. and you could live out your romance dream, if you’d ever take your nose out of the book and see her standing there.
she’s told this to her grandma. said woman laughed at jiwoo for eight minutes straight (she counted) and said she wouldn’t even be able to woman up and ask you out, even if you noticed her.
jiwoo also told this to kyujin, who should have her side as she’s the older one. the younger laughed almost as hard as the grandma. that was the moment jiwoo stopped coming to older and younger people for advice.
ᘛ⁐̤ᕐᐶ
“i bet you 5 bucks they’ll end up together.” the teacher said, slamming the money on the desk. the other three women in the room looked up at her weirded out.
“yongsun? did you forget your meds again?” one of them asked teasingly.
“yah! you’re almost the same age, byul!” yongsun whined at the younger woman, at which the trio bursted into giggles.
“we get it, unnie. but what were you saying? who are we betting on?” the youngest out of the bunch asked. yongsun rolled her eyes playfully and gestured the outside with her head.
there, on the hallway, they could see a pretty usual sigh. a couple kids running, someone carrying some lunch, and of course y/n l/n with her nose buried in a book. not far behind her, kim jiwoo was also following like a kicked puppy.
“oh, you mean the jiwo/n situation?” byul asked before laughing. “i don’t really think she’ll confess. l/n is too obvious and kim is very scared of rejection.”
“nah, don’t judge her like that! jiwoo is my top student, she’s very brave.” insisted yongsun.
“yeah, brave enough to listen to you banter about literature for hours!”
“shut up, wheein!”
“yongsun unnie, i add 5 bucks jiwoo will confess but l/n won’t recognise her.” the youngest added, putting her money on the desk.
“good one, hyejin. 5 bucks she just won’t confess.” wheein pat hyejin’s arm and added her money to the pile.
“y’all don’t have faith in them!”
“you have too much faith, yongsun. 5 bucks she’s gonna confess.”
“didn’t you say i have too much faith?”
“confessing isn’t the same thing as dating!”
ᘛ⁐̤ᕐᐶ
“so, how’s it going with that girl you told me about?”
“grandma!” jiwoo whined at her elder and stopped putting the books on the shelves.
“what? i’m just asking! you’ve been talking about this girl nonstop for the past couple weeks…” the girl glared at her grandma.
“that’s so not true!”
“you begged me to move the romance section closer to the counter so you could see her.” jiwoo tried to think of a comeback but the smirk on her grandma’s face made her quiet and pouty. “okay, jiwoo-ya. go open the shop.”
the girl sighed and did as she was asked. maybe she’d get to see you come into the shop today.
ᘛ⁐̤ᕐᐶ
you sat in your favourite bookshop. it was your favourite because of the cozy atmosphere, and how nice the owner was, and how many different romances you could get there.
it was hard to say actually why you liked romance so much. maybe you wanted to experience something like that in real life.
satisfied with a plot summary you just read on one of the books, you took it to the counter. the girl that stood there seemed awfully familiar, but it might have been because you visit the shop at least a couple times a month.
“hi, what can i help you with today?” the girl smiled sweetly at you.
“i wanted to buy this book.” you handed her the piece and started digging your bag for your wallet.
“sure, let me get that checked-“
“no no no- oh god, i am so sorry.” a mortified expression appeared on your face. “i think i forgot my wallet at home.”
“oh no, i am sorry to hear that. would you like me to-“
“agh, i’ve gotta look for it. thank you and i’m really sorry!” you ran out of the bookshop, missing the look on the girl’s face.
ᘛ⁐̤ᕐᐶ
“bet news!” yongsun ran inside the room panting. “jiwoo brought some romance book! she had it on her desk durning my lesson!”
the other three teachers looked at her sceptically.
“maybe she started reading romance?” the youngest suggested.
“no, that can’t be. jiwoo hates romance books.” yongsun nodded along to byul.
“but you know who loves romance?”
“l/n?” wheein scoffed quietly. her bet was practically lost.
“l/n! she’s gonna confess, i’m sure of it!”
“maybe l/n won’t recognise her…”
“hyejin don’t wish bad for people.”
“i wish for my money to come back!”
ᘛ⁐̤ᕐᐶ
kim jiwoo. you finally pieced the face to a name. before miss kim’s class, you saw her walking with the book you almost bought. on one hand, you were sad she bought it because now you couldn’t, but on the other, you could talk with her now! maybe she liked the same authors as you? she did work in a bookshop, she probably loved books as much as you.
just as you were packing your bag. the mentioned girl approached you. “hi, y/n!”
“oh, hello jiwoo.”
“you know my name?” she seemed really surprised, making you giggle.
“yeah, you’re just before me on the list.” your gaze fell to the book in her hands. for a second, you wondered why didn’t she put it in her bag, but carried in around like that. “you like romance too?”
“um, not necessarily. i don’t know if you remember but you wanted to buy that book but you forgot-“
“oh god that was so embarrassing.”
“so i bought it for you!” she smiled brightly and handed you the book.
“what?” you had to do a double take, looking at the girl in front of you, then at the book, and back at jiwoo.
“i figured you really wanted it and it gave me the chance to talk to you.”
“oh jiwoo, i can’t just- can i repay you somehow?”
“i know you don’t really know me, but i really like you. could you go out with me, and maybe it blooms into something more?”
the book fell from your hands. that seemed almost like a scene you read in a book. “sure.”
jiwoo let out the cutest giggle ever and you thought you’d melt on the spot.
ᘛ⁐̤ᕐᐶ
wheein and hyejin grumbled in dissatisfaction. both lost the bet, now it was a fight between yongsun and byul.
“she confessed but they hadn’t started dating!”
“they just went on their first date! i’m sure they will after this!”
“isn’t this weird we’re four teachers spying on two of our students?” wheein asked, sipping her coffee. the four of them were trying to blend in the coffee shop where l/n and kim were on their first date.
“shut up wheein!” said yongsun. she then glanced at the two lovebirds and squealed excitedly. “guys they kissed!”
“what?”
“pay up byul!”
ᘛ⁐̤ᕐᐶ
“are we going to talk about how our teachers are spying on us?”
“not really. would you like to go on a date on thursday too?”
“sure!”

We have a new citizen in Mount Phoenix:
Hathor, the Egyptian Goddess of Love and Happiness.            She is the director of Bodhisattva Counseling Center.
FC NAME/GROUP: Mamamoo Solar/Kim Yongsun GOD NAME: Hathor PANTHEON:  Egyptian OCCUPATION: Owner and Counselor at Bodhisattva Counseling and Therapy HEIGHT: 163cm/5"4 DEFINING FEATURES: Hathor's vessels have varied over the many years that she has lived among mortals, constantly changing her visuals to fit the ideal type of beauty in whatever region she is residing in. Over the past 50 years or so, she has leaned away from what could be deemed "ideal" by the masses and played more into how she wanted to look for once, rather than everyone around her. She has always maintained on thing of her godly appearance despite whatever vessel she is in at the time and that is her dark amethyst colored eyes that are known to keep the attention of anyone who gazes into them for too long.
PERSONALITY: Though it has been a long while, Hathor is still accustomed to being loved and worshipped. Once upon time she was the most loved goddess to her people and she became almost spoiled by this. Despite of this, she's warm and nurturing. Always doing her best to keep the people around her in good spirits and is very affectionate to those close to her, as well as, new friends. Hathor is loving and generous but, if you get on her bad side, it is doubtful you'll ever recover. No one can hold a grudge quite like the goddess of love and happiness.
HISTORY:
Chapter I. Golden Age
Things were magnificent, she was worshiped wholeheartedly by her people. As one of the most esteemed gods, second to Ra, sacrifices and offerings were a constant and welcome sight. Alongside her godly family, they thrusted Egypt into a golden age. They were loved and worshipped by their people far and wide. Temples and statues to honor her rose one after the other, as she was gifted with offerings and prayers from mankind she made sure to gift them with her talents as well. Hathor, the goddess of love, happiness and protector of all women, who was so loved by the mortals she watched over. She loved them so fully, a love so warm and intense she only hoped they would remain as loyal to her as she was to them. However, mortals are simple, fragile-minded beings and all too easily, they had forgotten about her. She had yet to know a heartbreak like the feeling of her people slowly turning away from her
Chapter II. Forgotten
Hathor had not known true hurt until she'd watched the world slowly forget her. Though most of her family was still remembered, she was wiped from history, and from the minds of the people she cared for so fully. Whether her memory was wiped away from age or her history and followers were killed by conquerors and usurpers. These mortals bringing with them their gods and goddesses, making the death of her memory even more agonizingly slow. Once upon a time she was a bright light, a beacon of happiness and love, now she was nothing but a dim, broken, shell of a goddess that once was. So, to protect her own heart she hid herself away. Broken and aching as she lost the love she once had and blindly stumbled into the darkness without a purpose.
Chapter III. Time and Again
Although she'd been all but forgotten by time and history, there were times and mortals that would bring her memory to life again for a short time. The hope to be worshiped and loved again, summoned her back to life on Earth, watching how each and every time she returned, just how much the world changed every time she retreated to the heavens. The mortals that would summon her with their belief were cherished by Hathor, her love for them immense and full. A few of them could recognize her as the goddess they loved but to others she was just a beautiful woman that came into their lives and blessed them with happiness. For her, it was enough to be loved and worshipped again, even if it was only for a short time and only by a few. It was nice to be remembered for just a little while. These few that granted the goddess with adoration were repaid ten fold, either by favors or even with the blessing of a beautiful child to keep her in their thoughts or a happy relationship.
An always gracious goddess, she made sure they were fully thanked for their love and worship. The short time and again she'd live among the mortals satisfied her until the next time came around, as she was just thankful to have a purpose to her existence again. Even if it was only for a couple years at a time.
Chapter IV. Journey to Bennu Akhet
Though she kept to herself among the listless amounts of deities, it was inevitable that the whispers of a place where they could be safe. A place dedicated to those of divine blood lived peacefully and in secret, away from the prying eyes of the mortals she hid amongst. Hathor thought perhaps it would be nice to finally be able to act like herself again fully, rather than act like a stumbling, fragile, simple-minded mortal. It would be nice to stay for a while in a place where she could truly spread her wings once again, just like back in her good old days. Maybe even reconnect with the family she couldn't help but slip away from out of jealousy…
POWERS:
Can sense and control the emotions of love and happiness of those around her (especially women)
Can identify and take the shape of whoever, or whatever, gives a person the most pleasure (their ideal type)
Can teleport short distances thanks to her times guiding souls to the Underworld
STRENGTHS: Nurturing, Protective, Outgoing WEAKNESSES: Stubborn, Unforgiving, Vain

A Thousand Reasons
i thought of this while drinking one night and imagined how people with addictions handle love and how their loved ones take their issues. i wrote this when i wasn't in a good headspace but it honestly came out beautifully. i hope you all enjoy! kim yongsun / solar x reader disclaimer/s : other than this being angst, it talks about alcohol and almost abusive behaviour. please don't let this be a guide or romanticized more of a work of fiction and a cautionary tale. please read this with a level head. don't have relationships like this, for God's sake. Again i'm going to put a very big TRIGGER WARNING HERE
Tumblr media
Solar loved you. You were everything she'd ever wanted and more. A loving girlfriend, her number one fan, an understanding friend, and the first reason she found to smile every day. You gave her a thousand reasons to fall in love with you, every single day of her life. Which is why the last words she ever said to you rang in her head like a church bell, even years after.
"I never want to see you again!" The singer screamed down the hallway of your shared apartment as you walked away with a backpack of clothes, toiletries, and the reason you two'd broken up, a bottle of half-drunken whiskey, loosely wrapped in between your fingers. Before she fell to her knees, sobs ripping from her lips as you walked into the elevator and out of her life.
But you're getting ahead of yourself.
You and Solar met when you were still kids, living next door to one another long before she'd even thought about training. She barely even liked you when you both first met. You'd stepped on her new white shoes while running up to greet her for the first time and she ran home screaming and crying.
The very next day, her mother opened the door to you with a lopsided grin, holding out a pair of your own white shoes. Solar pouted and stomped on the ground when her mother told her to go talk to you.
"I'm sorry, Yongsun-ssi...I didn't mean to..." You said while shifting front and back while holding out the pair of shoes. Solar remained pouting with one eye closed, watching your anxious movements. The expression lightened a bit before she took the shoes from your hands. "Just don't do it again..." She whispered admiring the new items she held in her hands.
You put out your hand, pinky out for her to take. "I promise!"
Solar giggled at your innocence and joy. She wrapped her pinky around yours before you tugged her into your back garden to play. You two became inseparable
When you two grew up, your dynamic barely changed. You were there to annoy her and she was there to make sure you didn't make a complete idiot of yourself. You two walked to school, you ate lunch together, and you both studied together after your classes ended.
It was easy to say that you two spend lots of time together. So much that it left you looking at her longer than you should and that she remembered each of your favorite things and brought them to you when you felt down. It came to a point where neither of you couldn't ignore it anymore.
A week before your school's student dance you stood beside Solar as she rummaged through her table, looking for a specific reference book. "...And then she literally threw her drink in his face for asking another girl to the dance instead of her. It was awesome." You explained what you saw during lunch.
The shorter woman chuckled before her face fell, rolling her eyes right after. You quirked a brow, propping your chin on her shoulder. Another invitation to be their date, you yourself rolled your eyes before plucking it from her hands. "Nope, you aren't going with anyone."
You crumpled the paper, before shooting it in the bin. Solar grinned before draping her arms around your neck. "So I'm not allowed to go with anyone?" You tried controlling the smile that fought its way onto your lips.
Since the announcement of the dance, you'd been blocking anyone who asked Solar out. And it gave your best friend the impression that maybe you felt the same.
You avoided her gaze while she smirked up at you. "S-Since when are you so bold, Yongsun..." You stammered out before she forced you to look at her. She rarely teased you but she sure as hell enjoyed it when she did. Solar leaned close, dangerously close to your lips as she said, "Maybe you'd like to take me, since you're so strict on who takes me."
No longer being able to bite back the smile, you pressed a quick kiss to Solar's nose. "Yeah. I'd like that."
It didn't surprise your other friends or even your families when you two inevitably got together. In fact, it surprised them that it took you that long to admit your feelings to one another.
"What do you mean 'you've known'?" Solar cried dramatically while you laughed, stroking her back gently in attempts to calm her down. Both your family's joined in your laugher as Solar fell back in her seat staring at them all in shock.
You placed your lips gingerly over her cheek, the shock melting into affection and admiration. "It's fine, Yong. Makes everything easier, right?" Your hand moved from her back to caress her cheek gently. Her smile grew as you stared at her.
Your sister pretended to gag which made you laugh heartily. Dinner continued on as normal as it could be. You cracked jokes with her parents while making sure your sister stayed in line.
By the end of the night, you'd walked the Kim family home with Solar staying out on the porch with you. She leaned up against you, soaking up the warmth you provided. Your fingers intertwined with hers as you sung songs to her softly, just for her to hear.
Solar looked up at you as you got so into the words you were singing and she didn't bother fighting the smile that came. After what she'd seen that night, how you calmed her, how you could handle your family and hers, Solar was sure that you were her rock.
A few years went by when you both graduated and moved into your own place. While you two were completely independent, you both still wanted to fall asleep next to each other. While your families and friends thought you were cheesy, you wanted to get used to living with one another.
"Aaaaand that's the last box." You huffed, plopping the box onto the ground. Solar giggled at your overly dramatic performance. She beckoned you onto the newly delivered couch. You grinned before slipping beside her.
The apartment was quaint but it was just the right size for both of you, and was rented at such a low price. You wrapped your arms around Solar's small frame to which she pressed herself further into your embrace. You left a trail of kisses from the tip of the shorter woman's cheeks.
Your hands interlocked with one another, your touch lingering on her left ring finger. "Do you think it'd be this nice if we ever got married, Yong?" You asked hypothetically before her eyes shot up in anxiety and excitement all at once.
She turned around, facing you, shocked expression still over her face. You grinned a little at it before she asked, "Are you serious?" You tilted your head to the side, as if thinking for a moment.
"Not now, of course." She breathed a breath of relief as you placed your lips on hers tenderly, wiping the shock off her face entirely. When you pulled away, she was left in a dreamy state, leaning back into you. "But I'm sure about you, gorgeous. You're my happiness, my sun."
Solar smiled before jumping up and rummaging in one of the unpacked boxes, eyes lighting up when she saw exactly what she wanted. You peaked over from the couch, watching your girlfriend curiously.
"Make a paper ring with me, N/n?"
With that, the promise of you and Solar was set. You worked hard during your college years to be able to help provide for your future, Kim Yongsun and the family you both planned on having. All the while, Solar trained hard and proved to her company that she was an asset they couldn't lose to other bigger managements. She was scheduled to debut.
And when she did, you were there. Front and center to cheer her on.
"There they are! The best group to debut this year!" You called with four bouquets of flowers in your your arms. The girls grinned and thanked you for your support and of course Solar was the last one in front of you.
You leaned down and left a soft kiss on the corner of her lips. "I'm so proud of you Yong." You added another kiss onto her perfectly painted lips before you pulled away, eyes gazing into hers. "I knew you could do it."
The Kim family and yours were incredibly close, so close in fact that you spent the holidays together every year. While you and the Solar's family urged yours not to rush home to keep up tradition rather get settled into their new home in America.
Being your family though, they were some of the most stubborn people in the world.
Your parents and sister were flying in from the U.S to meet you all for New Year. You'd even offered to pick them up, but they insisted that you stay with Solar's family to set up. They were supposed to arrive around nine. Ample time to rest a bit before jumping into the holiday festivities.
Then the clock struck nine. They were just a little late.
Ten. It's only an hour, you assured the Kim's that they were likely lost again. It wouldn't be the first time.
Eleven. Solar arrived from her broadcast recording.
Midnight. Fireworks exploded above head, but your phone rang.
One thirty. The doctors called a time of death.
You sat slumped over your shared bedroom. Solar was at the company practicing for their latest comeback. The office had encouraged you to take a few weeks off to regain your bearings. Your mind was racing, your pulse had hammered violently against your skin, your eyes were sore from all the tears.
You walked into the kitchen, eying the bottle of rum your father had sent over for Christmas. You'd saved it for New Years so you could both drink it together. It was the first alcoholic beverage you'd ever had and he thought it would be symbolic of your new lives, them emigrating and you getting promoted and talking about an engagement.
You popped the bottle open. One shot for your father turned into two. Then three. Then before you knew it, you'd guzzled down three bottles of you and Solar's reserve. As you popped a fourth bottle, your apartment door unlocked.
Solar walked in with a bag of take-out and was shocked to see you piss-drunk. Her eyes filled with tears seeing you that way.
A few bad days passed, then those days became a month. You and Solar were screaming at each other practically every night. Every night became a war in your once warm and happy home. And it always ended with you storming out to some bar to get wasted then Solar would go out to find you. You would make up as she carried you home only for it to repeat the process the next night.
It got to a point where Solar didn't even want to come home, she overworked herself and stayed at the company. Sometimes staying with Moonbyul until you'd have a normal day again but those were scarce and far flung between.
Solar walked into the house and her nose crumpled up in disgust. It smelled of cheap booze and piss. Tears of frustration and anger misted her eyes. Solar picked up the bottles and placed them beside the trash. The clinking stirred you awake. Head throbbing in pain but you eyed your girlfriend.
"Well, nice of you to come home, Yong." Your voice cold as you stumbled up to your feet. Solar stood in place staring at you, disappointment written all over her face. You rolled your eyes and pushed past her, leaning down to look for a still full bottle.
Solar stared at you completely shell-shocked. You looked up at her, brow raised irritated. "What?"
"Are you seriously fucking looking for more alcohol? Are you insane?" You grinned victoriously at the sight of a bottle of beer still half-full. As you pressed the cold glass to your lips, the shorter woman pulled it out of your hands, the bottle crashing onto the tile of the floor.
You grit your teeth and glared at Solar with so much contempt in your eyes. An expression she'd never seen from you. Sure you fought but it never got this bad. You raised your hand, Solar's eyes clenched and she whimpered without anything ever touching her.
Your eyes went wide before you fell to your knees. Apologising profusely, sobbing onto her feet. Solar looked down at you and wrapped her arms around you. The glass bottle long forgotten.
You were broken...so, so broken and she didn't know what to do.
After that night, you stopped drinking for a while. It almost seemed like it was back to normal. But you were much colder and far more distant. It terrified Solar to no end, especially when she couldn't be with you everyday because of preparations for their comeback.
Then, it happened.
Solar opened the door prepared to call out for you when the familiar scent of alcohol wafted around the room. She felt tears in her eyes, without a second thought the idol sprinted into the apartment to see you standing over a bag of your belongings, staring at them blankly.
"N/n..." She called hoping for some familiarity, but in all honesty, she couldn't even recognise you anymore. You weren't the kid she met from across the street, you weren't the teasing teenager with a puppy dog crush on her. You definitely weren't the same person who promised her a future. Tears fell from her eyes.
You didn't look at her. All you could muster was, "This is over, Solar...I don't..." You paused to sling your bag over your shoulder. "I don't love you anymore. I can't." With that you walked into the hallway of your apartment.
No. She couldn't let you go.
"Y/n please! We can talk about this! I promise it'll be alright when you're sober! Please!" Solar begged, rushing to grab your hand. Placing it over her chest. Her eyes pleading while yours, while misty, remained apathetic as you tugged your hand back. "Have some respect for yourself, Solar. It's just sad to look at now." Before long, you were out the door and walking towards the hallway.
All the reasons she wanted you to stay. All the reasons Solar be with you. Every time she reasoned that you were the one for her. All the times she reasoned that you were her forever. All the reasons she gave to love you. Disappeared.
In it's place was a searing rage. One that made her rise to her feet and run to the front door. "I never want to see you again!"
A year passes and she never hears from you again. Her family and the rest of Mamamoo supports her through the hardest year she'd ever had. Then before she realises it, a decade had passed since you left her life for what felt like good. She married a young man who promised her the world, not that it ever held a candle to you, and they have three beautiful children.
The memory of you became so blurred that it were almost like you were a person in another life. And it would have stayed that way until her youngest child's 5th birthday. With the promise of any toy she wanted, the pair entered a grand toy store where the child ran around looking for what she wanted.
Then as Solar raised her eyes from her phone, tracking her daughter from one of the stuffed animals she keeps in her backpack. Her breathe caught in her throat.
Solar's eyes grew to the size of plates when she saw you standing in front of the aisles of a toy store, looking back and forth from a list. Her heart pounded madly against her chest as your warm eyes looked up and met hers. It was like she was in her 20s again, staring at the home she'd lost.
The couple's youngest child clung to her leg suddenly, snapping Solar away from you. She smiled at her child before taking the toy from her hand. Nervously, she looked back up, searching for you and found herself incredibly disappointed when she didn't see you.
"Yong?" Your voice from behind her made her physically jump, making her kid giggle uncontrollably. "You're funny, mommy!"
Your brows shot up at the title as your eyes flickered from both Solar and the young child in front of both of you. You smiled and leaned down to the child's level, holding your hand out. "Hey I'm N/n-unnie!" The child's eyes shimmered brightly, just like Solar's once did.
Your chest tightened at the memory but you fought back the tears. "You know, your mom was my very good friend when we were young." Solar's lips trembled as you spoke to her youngest child. "And she got me through a lot. You be good to her, alright?" Your voice trembled as you placed a gentle hand over her head.
She didn't move or flinch like she usually would around other adults. In fact she smiled and nodded excitedly before running back around the store looking for more toys to ask from her mom. You chuckled before getting back up to meet eyes with Solar's.
It was the surprised expression that always used to warm your stomach. One that you used to lean over and kiss away. For a moment a silence hung over both of you, memories, both good and bad, rushed through both your minds.
"How've you been...?" She asked, the expression on her face turning into a warm and familiar one. You swung from side to side awkwardly, not really knowing what to do with yourself. "I've been good. Got off the alcohol, ten years sober."
Her expression softened and there was a lull in the conversation again. And the regrets and reasons rushed back into the retired idol's mind. She deeply wanted to hug you, feel the warmth of you again. "I...You..." Solar began but you put a hand up, silencing her immediately.
"No need. I'm so sorry for everything that happened between us, Yong...I—" Before you could finish, Solar felt a warm arm wrap around her waist, spinning her around. "Darling, we should get going. Your mom's waiting for us." Her husband reminded gently with a warm smile.
"O-Oh yes! I'll just pay for these. I'll meet you up front." Solar rushed before her husband nodded, leaning down to peck her lips before going around the store to look for the couple's daughter. She quickly turned around to try and talk to you but you'd disappeared.
An unresolved ache returned to her chest as she sulkily made her way to the counter. The brunette looked around the store one more time before sighing and walking to the front of the store where her hyperactive toddler bantered her father excitedly. She smiled and took both their hands before walking to the restaurant where her mother patiently waited.
For you though, it was much different. You didn't get get to go home to a family or kids. You burned that bridge when you left Solar a decade ago. You sat on a metal bench, the sunset in the sky dimming as you took a shaky breath.
"You know you aren't going to be good for her...Look at you..." You said to yourself in the mirror before sinking in the seat behind you. The few months of you getting back onto your feet turned into almost a year of Solar having to support your drunk ass every night.
Kim Yongsun deserved better than you.
The night you walked away from her, spewing all the things you said, all the insults, the lies. You needed the reason to have her let you go. She never would just live a miserable life with you in your state.
"I never want to see you again!" Her words echoing in your ears as you walked away, tears pricking your eyes and your lip trembling uncontrollably. Your heart begged you to run back, hold her in your arms but you knew you couldn't do this to her anymore. You looked back, rethinking your choice before shaking your head.
The moment the elevator doors closed, you yourself fell to your knees. Clinging to the metal bar behind you, sobbing and gasping for air. Mumbling soft, "I'm sorry"s that would never be heard.
'It was for the best.' You reminded yourself before shaking your tears away. You opened your phone, home screen still unchanged. Your fingers interlocked with make-shift rings on your fingers. You opened your settings, clearing the photo from your sight.
You loved Solar far more than you loved anything else. Hell, you still do. But because of it, you could never strip her of the life she had now.
You had a thousand selfish reasons for her to stay, but you only needed one to leave.
yeah i cried for some reason writing this. i think i might be fragile right now AHHAHAAHH moving on from the vv intense angst, i'll make sure to make the update for tomorrow extra fluff for you guys. maybe some twice reactions or blackpink reactions. :") i need to bleach my soul! i hope you all enjoyed and please don't use this as a basis for a relationship. a lot of what happens by the end of the story should be a red flag to any one in this kind of relationship rather than the standard. keep safe in your relationships, my lovelies anyway, i hope you enjoyed! requests are open and keep safe, you adorable and amazing lot! i'll see you all vv soon 💓 - r

The members worked till deep into the night. Especially Wheein and Moonbyul. You know that very well, your group even went as far as to write a 'diss' track about it.
Though right now you couldn't really care any less.
The dorm was dark, You could barely see and had stumbled over quite a few things on your way to Hyejin's bedroom.
With a bit of effort you finally arrived at her door, the tug in the back of your mind getting stronger.
You almost went straight back then and there.
Nevertheless you went with the part of you screaming for comfort, knocking on the door.
Within seconds the light turned on, you heard rapid footsteps coming for the door, taking a step back so you wouldn't get slammed when she opened it.
Instead of the frantic opening you expected, the woman gently opened the door, looking at you with a warm smile. It broke your resistance, tears welling up in your eyes.
Immediately worry filled Hyejin's eyes. "What happened darling?" Hwasa completely opened the door gently taking your hand and leading you inside. Tears started spilling, the dark haired quickly taking you in for a hug.
"Nig-Nightmare." You managed to sniffle out.
Hyejin cooed softly, tapping the bed to let you know she's gonna touch you, guessing you’d regressed, before hugging you close.
She gently rubbed your back, creating a soft white noise by blowing in your ear.
“You’re alright dear.” Hyejin spoke softly, gently playing with your hair. She waited for your breathing to even out before speaking again, not wanting to cause a greater panic that could have been avoided.
The woman gently let you go, chuckling when you shoved your head onto her shoulder again. “Wanna talk about it baby?” You shook your head, Hyejin nodding in understanding, humming in thought.
“Are you okay?” You asked out of the blue, Hyejin having to take a second to process before worry took over her eyes.
“Yes of course i am. Why do you ask honey?” The woman gently took your hand, tears pooling your vision again. “You in it. You were hurt. Unnie was hurt.” Hyejin hummed, hugging you again. “I’m alright dear. I’m okay.” You nodded against her chest, the raven haired nodding.
After a moment of silence you continued. “Others. Are others okay?” You asked, your voice quiet as if you could break at any moment. “Yes of course they are, I promise.” Hyejin softly smiled at you, though her words didn’t completely set you at ease.
“Can we call them please?” Hwasa nodded. “Of course we can.” With that she leaned over to the nightstand next to her bed, taking her phone.
After a few seconds of skimming contacts and you getting to choose which member you wanted to call, Solar’s number was ringing and you were eagerly waiting for her to pick up.
When she didn’t answer the first time your face flooded with worry, Hyejin quickly reassuring she was probably just busy. After the second time she didn’t pick up you started letting whines of worry out, Hyejin quickly took to squeezing your hand. When she finally picked up just before the last ring on the third try, even Hyejin let out a sigh of relief.
“I AM SO SORRY- I was busy filming a solo shoot and wasn’t allowed to grab my phone till i finished.” Yongsun quickly apologized the moment the call started.
“It’s alright unnie it’s alright.” The younger reassured. Yongsun giggled before talking again. “Aren’t you supposed to be asleep, by the way? Or have we worked THAT long?!” Hyejin laughed at the pure panic in Solar’s voice at the end.
“No no, I was asleep. Just so happens that a certain little had a nightmare and i was the only one in the dorm.” Yongsun hummed, almost inaudible for you even with the call on speaker.
“And they wanted to check in on us? How sweet.” She cooed, making you giggle. “Well i’m doing alright, My legs are numb from having to sit for so long. But i’m okay.” Yongsun said, smiling warmly though you couldn’t see. Hyejin hummed, laughing softly. “Good to know. You see little one? She’s alright.” She turned to you, giving a gentle kiss on your forehead.
You whined in discontent. “Others.” You said, holding onto Hyejin’s arm tightly. Both women laughed. “Alright alright. Well Moon’s currently busy- so how about we go to Wheein first?” You clapped your hands happily, nodding. Hwasa laughed.
“It seems like a yes.” Yongsun chuckled. “Then give me a bit, i’ll yell for her.” You nodded again, at this point hugging Hyejin’s arm to which she rolled her eyes playfully.  There was a yell, almost inaudible, then running towards wherever Solar was.
With a pant came Wheein’s strangled voice. “I’m here!” She yelled before taking over the phone from Yongsun.
“Hi sweetheart! I heard about your nightmare, But i’m alright!” She reassured happily. “How about we talk until Moonbyul unnie can get here?” Wheein suggested. “Mhm, Mhm!” You quickly answered, happy to talk to her.
Wheein giggled. “Alright dear! So have we put your mind at ease?” She asked to which you whined, Wheein cooing in response. “I know i know. You haven’t talked to unnie yet.” She laughed. “But she’s fine~, though i get wanting to hear her voice to be sure.” She hummed, “She’s almost done.” She confirmed.
“But yes, Me and Yongsun unnie are okay, and so is Byulyi unnie. I’m sorry you had such a horrible nightmare baby.” Wheein’s voice was gentle, so much so it kind of surprised Hyejin.
“Nightmares have quite the nerves to plague the mind of our sweetheart.” Yongsun quickly butted into the conversation, You could hear Wheein’s aggravated sigh, though she hummed in agreement.
"Don't worry though baby~ I'm sure they won't be coming back tonight." Wheein cooed, continuing for the older. Hyejin laughed. "Yeah i chased them all away." Yongsun let out an exagerated groan making you giggle.
Wheein couldn't help but laugh as well. "To be fair, we weren't there." She said to Yongsun. Almost inaudible to you and Hwasa though you managed. Solar merely groaned again.
"Oh! I believe Byulyi is done, Let me go get her for you." Yongsun said, before running over to the mentioned, Wheein letting out a yelp of surprise.
Hyejin laughed in amusement, before asking Wheein if she was alright. “Yeah yeah, I’m okay. Unnie was just really, really fast.” She giggled. “And you baby, Are you alright?” She asked, cooing gently when you clapped. “I okay!” You quickly answered. “That’s good darling.” Wheein smiled warmly though you couldn’t see.
“Oh, Unnie’s here!” Wheein said, before handing over the phone to Moonbyul. There were a few coughs from Moonbyul before she spoke. “Hi darling!” You clapped once again, You could faintly hear Yongsun’s awwing.
“Sorry i took so long, The producer was being a meanie to us again.” Wheein laughed at the word choice, To which Moonbyul responded with a groan.
“I’m sorry about your nightmare, little one, But as you can hear all of us are alright.” Moonbyul’s voice was sympathetic, possibly the most sympathetic you’ve heard.
“How about when we get home we all watch a movie togheter. Though Hyejin hummed in agreement and you started bouncing you leg in excitement, the other two on the other line groaned.
“Please haven’t we deserved some rest?!” Wheein whined, to which Solar only laughed. “You guys can fall asleep to a nice movie.” The other two hummed in consideration at that, You giggling at the contrast between the groaning and the humming.
“Alright alright good idea, when we get home we’ll all watch a nice movie. Alright baby.” You agreed happily, the other four giggling.
Yongsun took back her phone, Moonbyul whispering what you could only geuss was a stupid joke to her making her groan.
“We’re gonna finish up here and then we’ll be heading back. We love you! See you in a bit!” And with that the call ended.
Hyejin hummed, putting down the phone.
“See my love? They’re all alright.” You cooed happily as she wrapped you in her arms. “Now let’s wait for them to get back.”

The officer scrunched his nose as he took his gloves off "Call the forensic team and let them collect the hidden clues" he ordered before turning towards an elegant lady with black pants and an oversized coat, the microphone clasped at her hands as she extended the hand towards the officer
Lady : So what is the progress in the case sir? This is the 67th murder. People of Seoul want answers
Officer : We're trying our best ma'am but for certain reasons, we would not be revealing any information regarding our investigation
Lady : do you think this case will be solved soon? And that finally people can walk freely at night without a psycho killer following them?
Officer : I assure you ma'am that once we catch this suspect named "Solar", this case will more or less be solved. Till then, I hope you all can put your trust in the police department and wait patiently
The woman smiled and nodded towards the cameraman to stop rolling. She turned back towards the officer, biding her goodbye when he suddenly called her
Officer : wait- miss I heard you're the one covering this news for a while. I never caught your name. My name is Officer Kim Jihoon
They shook hands as she answered with a smile
Lady : Kim Yongsun~

Loud banging, screaming, dishes clattering was nothing new in her life. Blood, skin, broken teeth weren't new either. Abuse was the only thing Yongsun learned ever since she was a kid. Her dad was crazily in love with her mom, as he admits.. so much that he won't even let her go out of the house, ever. And yet his love makes him want to hurt her, see her cry, see her suffer and struggle. "Then how is that love?" Yongsun often thinks to herself until one day, she got her answer.
It was an usual night, screaming and loud cries filled up the room as her father banged her mother's head on the wall, making Yongsun shake in fear. "Never be like your dad.." her mom used to say and she promised that she would escape and help her mom. That night, however, no one saw it coming..no one knew that her mother didn't need anyone to save her anymore since she finally attained peace and freedom when she lost consciousness and hit the floor, the broken piece of glass hitting the back of her head. Seconds later, the siren of ambulance and the police was heard as Yongsun was rescued but one thing that her father said never left her conscious mind. "I loved her enough to unite us even in heaven" he screamed and grabbing another piece of glass, stabbed it right on his stomach. "It's true love Yongsun..." Her dad replied "Love that gives you courage to even hurt someone is true love...."

Sub Officer : so this case has been handed over to the crime branch
Officer : The crime branch? Why? Haven't we had any progress in the case?
Sub officer : errr...yes. We did have a progress and that is the fact that there was another victim found dead in her apartment at 4.40am today morning. Resources says that her name is Park Minji, majoring in history in Seoul National University
Officer : this is the most scariest case I've ever seen in the history of Seoul's crime. Let the crime branch handle it and also let the media cover the news but leave out the personal details. And strengthen the security everywhere. Quick! Move!
Sub officer : yes sir!
The officer walked into the chamber of the head of the crime branch to hand him the case
Crime branch head : So this is the suspect you have found?
Officer : yes sir!!
Crime branch head : Solar.......

[9:57 pm]
(solar x reader, ~350 words)
cw: suggestive, swearing
[previous]
Well, you said you wanted her out of your head.
Good, because you're not thinking about anything but Kim Yongsun, whose hands are currently wrinkling your previously-crisp white button-up.
Those initial compliments about your outfit coupled with her insanely bright smile opened you up more than you expected. Okay well— obviously. Why else would you be at her place, making out on the couch?
What do people even do during one-night stands? That's... what this is, right?
Your suit jacket lay forgotten in a heap, she pushed it off your shoulders in the doorway near your dress shoes. You had ventured to unzip the back of her dress en route to the couch to expose her toned back, now taking the time to feel around the curve of her spine and trace your fingers around her bra clasp.
Her rhythm urgent yet not aggressive, it obviously wasn’t her first time doing this. And yet there was a twinge of hesitancy. She pulls back to look at you, perched on your lap.
"Have you done anything like this before?" she probes with that signature grin.
“Been with a woman? Or gone home with someone on the first date?” you reply.
“Oh no, you’ve definitely done the first thing. I’m talking about the second.”
“…can you tell that I haven’t?” you mutter, hand coming up behind your neck to nervously run your fingers through the hair at the base of your skull. She's not wrong. You fell for Byulyi long after becoming frien— ah, that's not the point!
“Had a hunch,” she slides a hand up your tie to grip the knot with a gentle pull, your faces nearly touching. The words leaving her lips draws your eyes to them, “The question now is whether you want to." Somehow sitting up taller under her weight, you collect yourself and hook a finger under her bra clasp, fingers readied to pinch it open one-handed.
"I'm already here, aren't I?" you point out with an eyebrow raise and cunning tone, mildly surprised at your own conviction.
Fuck it.
