and Maybe then INK mentions his friend Cross to Dream, who thinks his BROTHER might like him, so he introduces them, and Cross and Nightmare get along, and Cross introduces his friend BLUE to Dream. and then mentions his friend KILLER to Nightmare, who has a moment of realisation, because holy shit, he knows Killer too!?!?

and then Killer mentions his friends, Horror and Dust, and THEY join the group, and maybe Killer says to CROSS he knows this guy, Epic, gaming streamer, who he thinks would work well with Cross' stuff, and Cross scream, because holy hell, that his best friend???

The feminine urge to rewrite the heroes of Olympus series (specifically SON) and make it sadder (and more angsty)

Like Percy without Annabeth would go batshit insane right? Or should I say Perseus would go insane.

The whole Percy memory thing is kinda glanced over. He gets his memories back by MOA. The second he sees his Annie he’s okay. And then we’re done with it.

But what if it didn’t work like that? He loves Annabeth that bond hera wont break. But he doesn’t know everything about her. He knows thats his entire world. But he doesn’t know why.

Jason didn’t know about the legion. Or any of his time there. He still doesn’t have all his memories about that despite going home.

Why does Percy get that?

Imagine Him doing a move and leo being like “where’d you learn that?” And he just blanks, Luke’s name slipping from his brain.

Him back at camp, seeing someone (like clariesse or Katie. Not his best friend but they’ve definitely talked.) and them being happy he’s okay, and he just doesn’t know them. Them trying to remind him who they are. And he just doesn’t know.

Percy getting his Achilles curse memories back, and he doesn’t remember that its gone. Going headfirst into battle, unaware of the potential for injuries.

Percy hearing sally make a mean joke about gabe and he just doesn’t know who he is. He knows he hates alcohol. But not why.

Percy not remembering everything.

He knows what hurts but not why it does.

Heyy soo um just wanted to ask if you were thinking about doing a part two for real Or if you were even open to it?

Hi, I've been thinking about possible outcomes for a second part.

I thought about a much darker/emotionally damaging storyline. Y/n could potentially seriously harm herself, Klaus could save her? Whether she survives or becomes a vampire is a question I've pondered. However if she became a vampire I feel that her self worth would deteriorate so much faster and I don't know how she would cope?

I also don't know if I want her back with Klaus. He hurt her so bad but he truly loves her so much. Like he would do anything to help her feel better, he loved how much more confident and happier she was becoming and he hates himself for the way she now looks at herself now.

I wonder if he could do enough to help her get better/more comfortable? Or maybe someone else would help her better.

I was thinking maybe Elijah? Whether it be romantic or purely platonic, I think that he could genuinely support her. Maybe if it was platonic he would somewhat help her and Klaus back together if we wanted this route?

Im not sure yet, I's love to hear all your guesses thoughts?

I’ve noticed that Tumblr is the only platform that widely acknowledges the fact that Katniss, Gale, and Haymitch were severely whitewashed in the films. On Twitter I’ve seen people get downright offended at the mention of Katniss being Indigenous, mixed, or simply non-white. I’ve seen people say that people with olive skin can be white and yes that’s true, but Jennifer Lawrence does not have olive skin which still makes her casting inaccurate.

I think this is because Twitter and TikTok focuses on videos, images, and short blurbs of writing - which caters to the movies. It’s the only visual representation of the books outside of fanart. Tumblr allows users to write long think pieces and the books are the primary reference instead of the movies. I’ve only seen the books mentioned outside of Tumblr when talking about Peeta’s characterization and missing lines in the movies. BookTok has also opened discussion of Katniss being non-white but otherwise non-white Katniss is generally not well received outside of Tumblr. Even fanart of Katniss with darker skin isn’t regularly distributed outside of Tumblr.

It’s disheartening but unsurprising. I mean, back when the first movie was released people were outraged that Rue was Black even though it was explicitly referenced multiple times. I just remember being in middle school and obsessed with the books and so excited when the movies were announced, and I was really disappointed with the casting of Katniss because I always imagined her as non-white like myself. Katniss is also supposed to be short and small in stature so that was difficult for me to grasp but I’m glad Jennifer didn’t pressure herself to lose weight for the role (she mentioned this in an interview). I think Jennifer and Woody did great in their roles, and Liam did good with what he was given, but I don’t see them as Katniss, Haymitch and Gale when reading the books or fanfiction. I remember Suzanne saying in an interview that the Katniss she imagines doesn’t exist, but Jennifer is close enough. I’m really curious to know how she imagines Katniss beyond the general descriptors of olive skin, dark hair, and grey eyes.

I’m also genuinely glad that Rachel Zegler is playing Lucy Gray Baird. She has tanner skin, which is great. However, the unfortunate reality is that she’s still “white enough” to be palatable to a white audience.
